I enjoyed that game so much, it really was a pleasure to watch. Happy for Harvey that he finally did something right, and it worked out for him, and the team of course.
Agreed. Harvey pitched well last night. I hate the 2-3-2 playoff format- It practically forces you to win the first two at home.
Murphy is on an absolute tear. Cespedes and Wright need to get it going. Duda too. Wright hasn’t done crap since his big hit in Game 1 of the NLDS.

Wright is a big reason why I want to try and keep Murphy. This way, you have a guy who can play 1st, 2nd and 3rd, especially because I think Wright will need to rest more often. I think his production is down because he’s playing every day, without Uribe to spell him.
I really like Murphy. He’s been pretty solid for us his entire career. Let’s hope the Mets can pony up some cash for him. I mean, shit, I think that our starting four is making less than $7 million this season.
I have no idea what kind of money Murphy is seeking, and if it’s a lot, it’s going to be a problem with Herrera and Reynolds in the picture. I like Murphy a lot, because despite some of the screwy things he does, he’s OUR guy, and I’d really like him to stay with the club. I hope he wants it as much as we do.

I’m happy to see both Mets and Cubs get a chance at the WS. It’s good for baseball to see these new faces. Same in the AL (however, it’d be better if ex-Athletics didn’t litter all these ‘final four’ teams).
After a childhood of hearing how great everything “New York” is/was, and wondering, if it is/was so great, why those who felt this way did not know there was also a northbound lane on I-95, I have no choice but to be a Cubs fan. Go Cubs!

The change I’d make is get rid of the 3 WR set as the base offense, put in a FB (shouldn’t be too hard to find one off the streets to just block) and have RT under center.
I would like an FB on the roster but if we didn’t get one during the bye week I don’t see us adding one until we change OCs next year.
For today I’d use Jonas

I think NE Pats use TE as FB on many occasions. You guys know if we got FB then our whole offense is being changed which more than likely happen next year. That means new system has to be learned and we may not have the players to fit our new system.
When teams use a DL for FB its usually for short yardage, a smaller FB can block at the 2nd level. I was talking about a 1st down FB.

Are there any FBs in the league? We use TEs as FBs and Campbell said Sims being back allows us to utilize two TEs more which will do. Remember he’s a former TE and he believes in them. 😉

We don’t utilize TEs as fullbacks this season. We did last year with Clay but I have not seen us line up with anyone acting as a FB this year
More like an H-back but Sims got hurt in game 1 so that ended. He’s the guy we use in that role.

All I know is Campbell said they cut some plays out of their playbook without Sims because of what he brings to the table. Now they can run those plays again.
He is probably talking about a 2 TE set but I don’t think we are utiilizing a TE as a lead blocker

Ken, when we run out of shotgun, you’re not going to have a lead blocker because those plays are essentially draw plays. I’m hoping we will lineup more under center and set up play action passing off the run game which Campbell mentioned they need to do more of. He didn’t say under center, but he did say establish the run and set up more play-action which helps the OL and creates a better pocket.
I agree we need to line up under center more. That is where the FB discussion started. Running out of the shotgun is limited in terms of the run game.
