Happy Fest Day! It’s another Home opener of sorts, the first with Dan Campbell as head coach. So many opportunities today. We have the opportunity to finally beat the Texans. We have the opportunity to get to 3-3 before a stretch of road games. We have the opportunity to put together back to back wins for the first time in what seems like an eternity. I’m not looking it up, but it seems like a long time. And not to be ignored, it’s the opportunity to get a victory for those attending the Fest.
Let’s Go Dolphins!
Like how they don’t call holding against the Texans
Stop getting easy and thinking the game is over. Geez!

They know it’s almost impossible for a bad team to get 41 without a lot of help but this game has really started to suck to watch lol
that would be true if they were playing against a good team, but they are playing against the fins. this game isnt even close to over with yet
Lol, too true based off the past 15 years.
So…are all our backups playing now?
These players easily take their foot off the pedal. Stop being cocky guys. Really?!!!
Taylor hasn’t looked good all day. Looked really bad there
He actually made quite a few plays in the 1st half. The entire team decided to call it a day in the 2md half. That has to stop.
Campbell learning what happens when you take your foot off the gas
and now it is a ball game. great thing this def is so fantastic
We scored 41 in the 1st
Who says a team cant score 42 in the 2nd
This guy in the commercial is probably sitting in his car right now
WE STINK!

yep, why i said about the first qtr. this team is so bad you can only take enjoyment a qtr at a time.
gotta be able to take about 6 mins off the clock here
nope instead idiot lazor stops the clock with an incomplete pass
Gotta catch that
HOT DOG!
Im still Mad!
that was a horrible called drive. they needed to just eat up the clock
campbell should have went for and onsides kick there. lmao
Gonna start calling #22 Toast Taylor
ne up 30-20 there is no way the nfl is going to let them use this year
Ugh.. Brady is going to eat up these guys always in the neutral zone.
Flip Saunders died- coaching will kill you:

brady is just going to kill the fins lb’s. he will have 450 yards and 4 or 5 tds
This game is getting a little too close for my liking.
Thursday N.E. Will teach us a thing or two about letting off the Gas
I’ll go first
NE 63- Us 3
time to go to school!
Campbell is learning how NOT to manage a big lead.
FFR,
I agree. Our secondary and LBs are going to be roasted on Thursday. Im hoping for the best but this half has been an awful way to practice for Thursday.
how is kicking that ball with your back foot not offsides. if you plant your front foot in front of the football before it is kicked that is offsides
let’s get another TD to finish are a high note
mark duper with a first down. oh wait, sorry i mean jennings
Brady had 10 dropped passes today. Lafell 5 drops. They couldn’t save the bad game for us. 94 percent winner at home. Gonna be tough on 4 days between games and traveling
We’re good. We’ll win this game whatever the score is and that’s all that matters. 3-3. 🙂
one thing is for sure, we all know how the texan fans feel. in the blodasphere some where out there in the land of texas some guy is arguing that the texans arent bad and they won the second half 26-3
opposing coaches need an assistant to point out what Dan Campbell looks like for post game hand shakes. LOL
We finally beat the Texans
Based on what I’m hearing, i guess that foster shredded a knee?
achilles
Achilles, he’s done for probably forever. Sad, great player with too much wear and tear.
Achilles

I think any of us who have watched football for long enough knew how this second half would go. Good thing: playmakers got some rest for Thursday night and NO injuries

yep, how many times have the fins been on the opposite end of that and then it is said over and over that the only reason they came back is the other team played soft in the second half.
lol, the colts player just battered a loose ball and no penalty. guess you have to wear a fins uniform to be called for that
Alright guys. A Big Victory today. We have great momentum going onto NE. Two straight blowouts for the Dolphins. Tannehill sets a new NFL record for most completions in a row. We are in the second wildcard position pending some other games.
Tim Knight says:

Yep! It was a good plan but annoying at the same time. LOL
i think it got a little closer then they thought.
The players let down with a big lead which will be a discussion for sure. But they also played backups much of the 2nd half which may resonate down the road. We have to play the Pats in NE on Thursday so giving starters rest was important. We’ll see.
We turned 1-3 into 3-3 and we’re right back in it.
Pats 6-0 (of course they are)
NYJ 4-2 (they’re a tough team)
Phins 3-3 (waking the sleeping giant)
Bills 3-4 (not as good as advertised – gee what a surprise lol)
pats have 4 OL players playing new positions with 3 rookies
we win… jets, steelers, bills lose. Perfect Sunday. We just regained control of our season.
excuse me we are a half game OUT of the second wildcard spot behind Pittsburgh or the jests. pending if the LA Raiders lose to the LA Chargers.
Im not that happy
Now we go to NE in 3 days on a flat tire.
Anyone recall that game that NE was killing us so Cheat sits Brady and we finally score.
Bammm Brady is right back in after that.
NEVER LET UP!
I was going to go with us if we beat Texas today but what I saw in the 2nd half
I have us for a loss this week and now I am sticking with it.
Patriots 62
Dolphins 3
Boo!!!! What kind of shit is that?
nahhhh… if we don’t win I think we can keep it close

i hope not. it is a useless discussion. you have no idea if they let down or just started playing it to not give up big plays.
Nah, all phases started to say whatever. A missed extra point followed by poor offense and defense. D. Williams with an opportunity to get a 1st down but fumbling might have given way to Jonas Gray from here on out. Miller is a stud.

who? the only one not in during the second half was miller
On defense we played backups almost the entire 2nd half. On offense you saw Williams/Gray and Parker. They definitely didn’t want to push it too much with the toughest road trip you can imagine.
At NE, BUF and PHI in a row. This is the season. 2-1 is what we must do.
Go Phins!!!
ffr, “control our destiny” 😉 doesn’t mean we will fulfill it, but at least we don’t have to rely on others… the question is: can we go 6-3 the rest of the way? If so, we are in the playoff picture.

not only that, you have to spend it in an airport or airplane
Miller was the only one that sat out a significant part of the second half. Some got rotated out a little more frequently but most the starters stayed in second half
Remember I said I wanted us to keep Orleans Darkwa instead of Damien Williams and especially instead of Daniel Thomas and LaMichael James.
FFR thats right
just go with it, all one needs to do is look at Boulders season standing and I am spot on 3-3
This game went perfectly. The score at the end doesn’t matter, what does matter is we won and we didn’t have to play for 4 qtrs. to do it. With a game coming up in a few days this easy one is going to go a long way towards helping the starters on Thursday. It doesn’t mean we’re going to win, it just means it’s nice to not exude too much energy.
When Buff. kicked our ass in game 3 they put out too much effort to embarrass us, which they did, but they’ve lost 3 of 4 since, so I think its better to just win, than humiliate.

who are the mets? arent they a double a baseball team that plays some where up in NY?
The Pats had a really tough game followed by a short week. Hopefully that helps us. On the other end, we played that 5 yard line WR screen very poorly and NE uses that about 30 times a game. Our secondary and LB unit are bad so I just hope we pull something out of our…stuff to pull it out.
In the end, we won a not close game and got the winless streak off our backs. Good game guys!!
How the Jets left Gronkowski, of all people, uncovered on the TD near the end is puzzling. He’s the one guy you have to not one guy on, but likely TWO!
It’s the same thing as back in the day with Jerry Rice. Great players make plays regardless. Todd Gurley is reforming the Rams. It’s about talent. Look at Landry today. None of that was coaching. Pure effort and talent.
why do the cowputz get to have suck and gaikman announce every one of their games. it is horrible the homos they are for the cows

once again the officials putting themselves in the middle of the game with a horrible late hit call against the giants.

This is hilarious commentary. One guy was trying to push the positives for the Texans so hard and the other guy just kept on piling our win on. Feels good.
Wow what a game. Cograts to Coach dan and the whole team. What a performance. That was an ass whooping. Great game for the Fest.
Can’t wait till thursday!! Go Phins.
Glad to see SD losing too.
How about that game last week
500+ passing and still cant break 21pts
And that very last pass. just the play before he had Woodhead wide open in that same spot
That dude from the Packers wasnt going to let that happen again
Game Over
Steve, Rex wants to humiliate his opponents but he still can’t win games. It’s not about that but to win games. He is too much about look at me. So glad he’s not our HC.
the redzone going off about keenan allen setting the nfl record for receptions thru 7 games. can they find more useless stats to talk about. i mean i dont even think tanny’s straight completion record is all that. it is like they find anything now a days to make a stat about.

No stats kept…….just a guy you’d like to be the godfather of your children. Other’s there might give the pigskin of the day to someone else. Key thing is there is nothing like the Fest.
carolina…..the team that asked the fins to back down in practice but are killing it now.

‘Key thing is there is nothing like the Fest.’
sounds like some one needs a visit to my sofa.
Stanger… Glad you guys had a blast.. Gotta ask.. How was the smoked prime rib ? And I agree… Brian is one cool dude.
Smoked prime rib was exceptional. Not sure if this will make sense, but it was slow cool smoked. So the smoked flavor didn’t you hit you in the face, but it was on both the outside and inside of the meat through and through. Warren can cook.
did stanger just say i likes his meat slowly so it doesnt hit him in the face to hard.
You had to work to get that one in ffr but cool…..absolutely what I meant.
Still riding the Fest high. We have some great people on this board.
lol stanger that you think i had to work to turn the most innocent of comments into something perverted
Perhaps saying you had to really twist that one around to your purpose would have been a better way to put it…….assuming you want some train of logic on the thing.
Stanger,
Warren is an outstanding chef.. Please don’t piss him off before the next fest.
PHINDOG: IT WAS TERRIFIC talking to you at the fest!!
OOPS IT WAS ROCKPHIN at the Fest. I need some sleeep!
Speaking of the next fest.. Who’s going to the west fest in San Diego ?
I have my 3 tickets.
lol and in 2015 ted ginn is STILL running out of bounds to not get hit.
I am lmao watching tonight’s game. Ted Gin with a great run on end around but at end of run as a tackler closes in he goes out of bounds. I just ask what would Jarvis Landry do?
I saw the same thing and thought back to his days on the Dolphins. He is not going to lower his shoulder for that extra yard, never mind 2 or 3.
Jarvis would have tried to grab as many yards as he could, defenders be damned.
That is what I love about Landry. He fights for every yard. There is no quit in him

to his credit, rodney ‘i hate everyone but NE players’ harrison said he loved the guy and the passion he plays with. i think he called him the best player no one has heard about. which is funny cause everyone knows about him but the asswipe acts like cause he doesnt play for the cheats no one knows about him.
Landry doesn’t just fight for every yard
He fights
It’s awesome to watch
Not sure how that long TD run looks on TV
But in the stands, I just thought step out of bounds and that it’s
Them I thought okay walk the sideline
Next thing I know he is crossing the field and it’s a TD run
Even good physical receivers in this league don’t make that play
There was nothing there
He just stayed up long enough to open up the field
Piggy’s MVPs
Landry
Jones
Agree or not?
I think Pittsburgh would disagree.
GOT HOME FROM THE FEST a little while ago. IT WAS AWESOME!! –Young Stanger is the host supreme, and theee expert at getting decent tix at an affordable price. The D & B’s event was great, and the pregame, featuring Warren’s “ULTRA SPREAD of FOOD” was fit for kings and queens!! MANITOBA got some neat pix which, I guess, we’l see later. I BROUGHT IN PIX from Fest ONE four years ago! –And, best of all, the FINS LOOKED AMAZING!!!!!!!!
———
BRIAN FROM NY sure deserved the game ball for all his help!–BRIAN YOU’re a true friend!!
———
GUESS ALL OF YOU SAW TANNy’s 25 straight completions broke an all-time NFL record!!–EVEN PIGGY, reportedly, was impressed by Tannehill’s performance!! DID YOU GUYZ KNOW that Lamar Miller is the first player in NFL history to run for an 85 yard touchdown AND catch a 50 yard+ touchdown pass IN THE SAME QUARTER (per ESPN)?!!? – – WOW!! WE SURE CRUSHED THAT TEXANS” JINX, DIDN’T WE??
——-
SPEAKING of old jinxes, I think it was O ROB who said the Fest was a jinx for the Dolphins. WELL, I did some research. IN the Fests that O ROB has NOT attended, Miami is 2 wins and 1 loss. (WIN vs. Redskins in year one; loss to Tennessee in year two, WIN vs. Texans today). –But in the only Fest ROB has attended (last year, year #3), MIAMI LOST to Green Bay. So it appears that ROB IS THE TRUE JINX, RIGHT???????
——
GDP and his lady friend were a nice addition this year. RICK, we SURE hope both of you can make it next year, too!
——
THAT touchdown by LANDRY was absolutely epic! One of the greatest plays in DOLPHINS History!!! AND I BELIEVE 41 POINTS IN THE FIRST HALF IS AN ALL-TIME DOLPHINS’ RECORD!!! – – wow, what an amazing day!!!–Talk to all of you tomorrow!!–Gotta walk the Greyhound and get my ugly rest!!
PS: SON-OF-A-SON, his wife and family, were all great to see and talk to, too!–HOPE MORE OF YOU can make it next year!!

What a great game yesterday! It was absolutely without question the best game day experience I have ever had at the stadium. At one point during the second quarter I literally had tears running down my face. Never have I seen such a complete dominance in a half. I was laughing hysterically..ha ha ha ha ha woooohoooo ha ha ha! What a great group of guys we’ve got on this blog. Fantastic experienc!
Those bastards sucked me back in. I’M BACK! Before yesterday’s game I would have sworn that it wasn’t possible. I was so down on this team. Watching that game in person in the stands feeling the energy was a perfect storm for me. It was cathartic. I am not kidding about crying in 2nd quarter. WOW what a game.
Now go and kick the shit out of the Patriots this Thursday! GO DOLPHINS!

Not to question your emotional experience, but from the looks of it on TV, I think that was rain pouring on you. 😉
Tears of bittersweet rain. Phil Collins would be proud.
Nobody knows what to say today. LOL
Maybe some excessive celebrating!
Not to question your emotional experience, but from the looks of it on TV, I think that was rain pouring on you. 😉
The rain was a bonus. LOL It hid the fact that I was crying. (while laughing hysterically) and it cooled things down in the stands. We were all dry by the end of the game. WOW what a great experience.
It was a very long GREAT day. Thanx to all who made it happen. “Its a New Dan” and it also appears The Force has Awoken
I’m glad you festers got a chance to see a game like that where not only did we end the losing streak to HOU but we destroyed them.
Great win for the team, but I truthfully would have like it is they traded scores for a while to keep it interesting.
Tanny had a 158.3 passer rating yesterday……if that’s not as high as it gets it’s darn close.
That’s the highest you can get.
This one goes to 11.
MIller had 236 total yards in the game…….and he was pulled at half.
and he was pulled at half……..
Let that settle in a little bit…..he had 175 yards rushing in the first half! Is that the most running yards by a Miami Running back in one half of play in history? If not it has to be close.
Someone posted yesterday that he thought Landry & Jones were the MVP’s of the game. HOW can you leave out a performance like that? Miller is in the running for MVP of that game if not the hands down winner.
Might been other great first halfs, but have to think if you double that you have the NFL record in both rushing and total yards.
What a great monday. Amazing game. The phins are playing lights out.
Thursday will be the real barometer for this team. Beat the pats!!
It will be a measure, but even loss doesn’t mean playoffs aren’t possible. Some of the games we thought would be tough are no longer looking that way, like the Ravens and the Colts.
I agree. a loss won’t be the end of the world but the division is out. We won’t win the division. With a win we still have a chance at the division.
Dan Campbell after yesterday’s win:
“That’s us,” said Campbell. “That’s not some fluke. That’s who we are.”
Does anyone have any Kookaid? I think I might start drinking again.
How can you not, it’s like night and day right now.
This game was perfect on a short week where we could rest some starters in the 2nd half. It was good to get some backups playing time as well.
Yep great game to rest/protect those who need it.
Arian Foster tore his achilles in the 4th Q and is out for the season……why was he playing in the 4th Q?
did albert play the 2nd half? I think both miller and albert sat the entire 2nd half.
I have a feeling the raiders will beat the jets this weekend. The raiders will be one of the teams vying for a wildcard. They’re playing well right now.
Yeah the Raiders are on the rise. The Jags are going to be good in a few years too. They have a lot of young talent.
Wow. I hope these guys can keep it up
” How about this stat line for Ndamukong Suh: Two sacks, six tackles, three tackles for loss. Suh has played at an All Pro level the past two weeks. “
Stanger, Foster tore his Achilles with no contact which tells you it was going to go anyway. His career is probably done. He’s had a lot of wear and tear over 7 years and he’s had a lot of injuries.
Maybe it would have happened anyhow, but they didn’t know that. And he could have reinjured his knee via contact too. Not like they had a chance of winning.
I agree he shouldn’t have been playing being that he just came back from an injury.
Should be a new blog in a few minutes
Spectacular!
Just as I predicted
New blog is up.
