Hey Everyone!  Great game vs the Bills right?

Am I right?!?!

Does your butt hurt yet?

If so than I’m right at home with you!

Here is a live photo of the game

The Bills gained 420 yards against the Dolphins

The Dolphins countered with 397 yards

Close game right?

Nope – Bills 33 Dolphins 17

MIAMI GARDENS, FL - SEPTEMBER 27: Karlos Williams #29 of the Buffalo Bills scores a touchdown during a game against the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium on September 27, 2015 in Miami Gardens, Florida. (Photo by Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)

of that 420 yards the Bills rans for 266 on the ground.

When McCoy was injured Karlos Williams took his place and ran for 2 TDs.

Both Williams and McCoy ran for 100 yards

Another Bill who had a big game was Sammy Watkins who had 8 catches for 168 yards

It turns out the Brent Grimes has his cleats specially fitted with banana peels for the game!

Watkins ate the Dolphins alive

Here is another photo of the end result

Ryan Tanenhill threw for over 300 yards.

Lamar Miller had 97 of those yards.  He ran for 2 yards –

but he wasn’t very effective on the ground.

Landry caught 11 passes and actually threw one too.

They keep using Landry in various ways.

And Kenny Stills was involved too

But still poop on Sunday.

I hate the Bills

    gdp,
I think roman would be a better candidate than Campbell. Campbell hasn’t done any game planning until now. Roman has been a superbowl OC. Not sure about his leadership qualities but he’s a decent X and O guy. I mean his offense beat our defense pretty good in 2 games.
He out-coached our coaches both games.

    • Tim Knight says:

Campbell has been involved in more NFL game plans in his career than Roman as a player and coach. Players are involved in the game plan, they have to execute it. You’re making it seem like Campbell has never coached or been around it in his career. Don’t make it more complicated than it is. He knows football. Has he been drawing up plays as a job, no, but neither was Roman before being hired in SF just 4 years ago. Campbell is also not a coordinator, he’s a HC leader, intensity guy. He can hire a guy like Roman to run his offense. Being a good OC does not mean you’re HC material as we know don’t we? LOL

  3. Mike E. says:

    Boulder

That’s why I say you never know who with who he hires as HC. For instance, if he hired Jim Harbaugh (Not happening), he would want his own guys. I don’t completely discount the possibility of the new HC we hire might want the same thing.

  4. getterdone says:

Boulder, if we go 1st time HC, then why not just stick with Campbell. A lot of that will depend on the last 8 games he has.
He can always get a better DC & OC than what we have now to draw up plays.

    • Tim Knight says:

I agree. He can also get better with an offseason to reflect and prepare for a new season. But he’s going to have to get this team playing better football or it won’t happen. Those two good games are a long two games ago and we lost important back to back division games to go 0-4. That’s not good.

So who here would rather us just lose out the rest of the season to secure a good pick in the draft?

i never can say ‘just lose’ but i dont care if they win any more games. i get there are draft bust all over the draft but there is a reason the losing teams get the higher draft selections

  7. Tim Knight says:

Boulder, I was going on the premise of we don’t know which direction we will go but I think it’s 2 ways now unless Campbell basically runs the table which I don’t see happening. The personnel on this team are not up to the task. They can’t execute basic functions at times like snaps and tackling. That’s basic football fundamentals. Something is wrong with the makeup of this team.

Remember Tannebaum has no connection to Hickey other than inheriting him. Maybe he likes him as a GM maybe he doesn’t. Maybe he wants to hire his own HC and GM/personnel fit – meaning they have a relationship and are on the same page.

To me it’s either that or we hire a new czar with Ross replacing Tannenbaum and that guy hires the GM he likes and then they all go hire their HC.

    • BoulderPhinfan says:

I guess what I’m saying is that not many experience head coaches would come hire with a czar already in place. Similar to what happened with Ireland. And I doubt Ross will fire tannenbaum. Hickey is irrelevant IMO.

      • BoulderPhinfan says:

        ^come here

      • Brian in NY says:

That’s exactly what I’m afraid of Boulder- Tannenbaum has become the new Ireland/Philbin. If we are going to clean house, then he’s got to go as well.

      • Tim Knight says:

No I’m saying as an example: Polian is a czar/consultant. He hires someone he has a relationship with as a GM candidate. Then they both hire a HC who also has a relationship with them experienced as a HC or not – someone they believe in. Basically the same as the trifecta did but don’t let the people involved there skew your thinking, that is the model you’ve promoted for years wanting to fire Philbin. Have a top guy hire everyone on the same page.

  8. bat says:

“Never lose out on purpose….that’s what makes for a Bad Culture”.

In contrast with the fabulous culture that’s been cultivated in Miami these last eight years or so. Certainly wouldn’t want to mess with that …

  9. bat says:

Good to see ya Jahn .. .. How’s the brewing going?

  10. Jahndoh30 says:

For anyone hoping for Polian here (I really like the guy ftr) he was asked on the air recently if he had any intentions on working in a front office again. His reply was:

“The power to allow that to happen resides with an individual outside of myself, and that individual shows absolutely no signs whatsoever of allowing that to happen.”

Things change, but I got the impression the Mrs. isn’t going to rubber stamp him ever working in an NFL front office again. TBH, I think his relationship with the drug addict in Indy at the end of his tenure soured him on the business a little bit. That last sentence is 100% conjecture on my part fwiw, but that’s what I think.

    • Tim Knight says:

I use him as a czar example like a Parcells. Then hire from there. Not saying Polian is the guy. Kind of like a Ron Wolf who may be out there but not Ron Wolf. LOL

He actually consulted Parcells when he took over in Miami.

  11. Jahndoh30 says:

Going well Bat. I can’t make it fast enough. We’re making money but still spending it hand over fist, hopefully that pattern rights itself a little bit in the next 6 months or so.

  12. Tim Knight says:

Brian, Ross could easily hand off the new GM/HC to Tannebaum and he hires guys he has a relationship with. That doesn’t mean it won’t work, but it’s also the way most people here say it should be done. Not hire a HC then fire the GM and hire a new one that’s cool with the HC but then hire a guy over all of them he had nothing to do with. Ross basically hired them all and put them together. This time he may have to go with the other more conventional approach which was exactly what the trifecta was. It’s just that one went sour, but it was the familiarity approach most people feel is the way to go. It just won’t be Parcells, Ireland and Sparano this time. LOL

    • Jahndoh30 says:

It probably won’t work though. Lets face it. We’re all Dolphin fans here. We are stuck in the movie Groundhog’s Day.

  13. Jahndoh30 says:

I think the chances Campbell is our HC in 2016 is less than 5%. Sorry guys. What I said about in your face rah-rah not lasting long is showing on the football field. He’s not qualified to be an HC. Not by a long shot. It takes so much more than the ability to motivate…and the last 2 weeks even that skill has been M.I.A.

  14. bat says:

Jahn … Glad to hear it’s going well. Things should begin to tilt your way soon. …BTW My “culture” comment was just me being sardonic and hateful ..not meant to be taken seriously …lol

  15. Jahndoh30 says:

    Bat,

I know, if it wasn’t you I wouldn’t even have bothered to post. Mostly just thought it’d be fun to banter with you like the good old days.

  16. bat says:

Fire all the coaches. Fire the entire front office. Turn the roster over by at least 75%. It’s the only way to finally bleed the foul poisons from this team. Ross cannot half ass it again.

    • Tim Knight says:

That’s one of the options I said is very possible and if I’m Ross I think about it long and hard. There may be a part of him learning the football business where he feels he’s been sold a lot of BS.

Ross clearing the slate could open the door for some well respected executive out there we don’t know much about who would be open to coming in fresh with his own people and getting paid quite a bit. Maybe he’s an almighty GM or he hires one and then they pick their HC.

If he keeps Tannenbaum he’ll pick his guys whomever they may be. I’m just not sure it will remain Tannebaum and Hickey either way and I don’t think Hickey has done a bad job, he was handed a lot of shit to deal with day one.

I’d lean towards a completely new regime with this awesomely talented roster and presto we’re in the playoffs. LOL

  17. bat says:

Jahn ..LOL … Yes, it’s been a while.

  18. finfanrob says:

    jahn,

i dont think the ‘culture’ of losing out is a reality. it is just something that is discussed by fans. i cant imagine in any environment that is discussed in a locker room. i would imagine a coach would be laughed out of a locker room if he suggested losing to his players. IMO it is nothing more then silly fan banter

hey, i like when god speaks like me. makes me feel all important and like

  21. bat says:

Our only other way out is if Ross moves this sad sack team to LA and Miami can then apply for an expansion franchise.

sorry, i meant. jahn wtf is wrong with you. losing out will help them get a high draft pick. you dont know anything now go back and make me a beer.

  25. Jahndoh30 says:

Lol FFR…even if you had a “brew me a beer” cheerleader…you’d get so frustrated waiting 4-6 weeks for her to bring your beer back to you.

  26. finfanrob says:

    lol jahn

if i had a cheerleader for 4-6 weeks i think the last thing i am going to be is frustrated.

  27. BoulderPhinfan says:

I just don’t see Ross firing Tannenbaum. I just don’t see it. So whatever coach we bring is the coach that tannebaum picks and can work with him.

I just don’t see Ross firing Tannenbaum. I just don’t see it.

i dont know. he is also, or so we read, the one who signed two average players (at least so far) in tanny and suh to huge contracts. if ross is a business man as people bitch he is he would be awful pissed off he wasted so much money on two players way overpaid for their production so far.

    • BoulderPhinfan says:

he just hired tannenbaum this year. with a mutti year contract I’m sure. He’s not gonna fire him without allowing him to hire his own coach. And he’s not gonna eat all that money.this soon. He’s gonna let tannenbaum hire a coach. It’s like grounhog day.

Very possible and like I said we don’t know if it won’t work. 🙂

that is true. the only thing we do know is some on here will bitch, some will love it and i will just wait till next december to see if it works

    • Tim Knight says:

Well I’m in your boat now, way on the other side away from your sofa and creepy crawl space where you keep Ken. LOL

Seriously, I’m not totally sure what the issue is with this team yet but everyone involved is responsible. There was a lot of positive vibe in the offseason heading into the season and 3-5 happened again with 4 blowout losses. There’s your new Miami Dolphins!!! The same Miami Dolphin! It’s really boring and annoying.

I was thinking about starting a new sport ‘Sticking Pins in Your Eyes’ because at least I’d run the ball behind center more than playing in shotgun when it’s 1st and 1 on the goal line. I’m fucking nuts like that! LOL

  30. finfanrob says:

    boulder,

i am not saying he will fire him. i am just saying i could see him being that pissed off at all of it. on a preseason game he was pretty adamant of what he expected this year. and saying they didnt reach his expectation isnt even an understatement, they arent words for it. so i could see him clearing out everyone

    • Tim Knight says:

So do I. This would be the time to do it too. Let some new regime take over this talented roster and make it win. That’s the desire. Make us win! LOL

  31. herdfan says:

no No NO! Don’t use pins….a sharp stick is more effective.

    • Tim Knight says:

So what you’re saying is kill me? Don’t leave me as a maimed blind-eyed bat who has no experience eating bugs. Yeah death might be better. LOL
