Game Day – Dolphins @ Chargers

Capture

We might just win this game.  Here’s my thinking…..The past 2 seasons we’ve needed to win the last 2 games to get in the playoffs.  Now that it’s impossible, when it doesn’t matter,  they will likely finish strong just to piss me off.

Let’s Go Dolphins!

Of course we’re going to win this game, we’re eliminated from the playoffs and we must get to .500. Must pile up meaningless passer stats so when thrown into the mix he looks like a hero. But here we are la de da – hum de dum winning shit.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

So it’s just about Ryan eh? How about the receivers who have dropped more passes than any other team in the league or defenders who can pad their sack and tackle totals in meaningless games. It’s a team game, bro.

    • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

NOTHING MEANINGLESS TO ME about winning the last 3 games of the season. If, somehow, Campbell can guide this team to 8-8 after Philbin’s horrid start, then he (Campbell) should get some consideration for the head coaches’ position next season. Conversely, if we go 1-2 or 0-3 over the last 3 games, Campbell and his entire staff should be outta here!!
      ——————————
ONE THING working in Campbell’s favor is the fact that A) ROSS is likely to retain T-Baum, according to reports, and B) NO GOOD coach will come to Miami knowing that Ross’s “DOOFUS BRIGADE” will STILL be calling the shots next season!! – – Talk about a career ender – – IF you want to end up like Sparano or Philbin, just agree to be the next head coach of Ross’s team!! – – I REPEAT, NO GOOD COACH IS GOING TO AGREE TO COME TO MIAMI AND TAKE ORDERS FROM TANNENBAUM & ROSS!

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Not everyone feels the way you do about Tannebaum. He likely has connections with lots of coaches. The Dolphins coaching job is a good one. There are only 32 coaching jobs. I know you don’t like Ross either but he’s an owner willing to spend and that’s most important to coaches.

  3. Dloxahatchee's avatar dcoralsprings says:

So Mando in his article today puts together a deal for S Payton to the phins
And he brings Brees with him
Kind of nuts, but maybe a bit nuts is what we need
I know that many are dead set against a #1 for a coach deal
However if that’s what it took to finally end this long nightmare ……

Let me pose the question like this, who would you trade for a quality head coach / front office :

    Dion f/f Jordan
    Jared Odrick
    Vonte Davis
    Jake long
    The entire Ginn family
I see on this board that at least half of you would add T-Hill to an ugly list

There are a lot of reasons we are where we are today and when this many of your first rounders are a push like this list I’m not so sure a first rounder is the line I would draw in the sand a shout HELL NO
    Just sayin

    • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

I’M REAL SURE I DON’T WANT THE BREES/PEYTON COMBO FOR A 7th ROUND DRAFT CHOICE, let alone a 1st round pick plus other Miami players!! 9-10 years ago I DID HAVE interest in Drew Brees when he became a free agent. BUT, NOW, he’s just another QB at the end of his career. WE HAD our chance at Brees in his prime and BLEW IT!! Bringing him in now would be YET ANOTHER EXPENSIVE MISTAKE!!–And Sean Peyton would NEVER work for the “DOOFUS BRIGADE” under ANY circumstances!

      • Dloxahatchee's avatar dcoralsprings says:

I hear ya, lots of crazy ideas going to be going around the next few weeks
Mandolin may have been drinking a bit when he wrote this one
But I assure you there will be worse ideas coming lol

      • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

“D”; With the DOOFUS BRIGADE in control, there’s ALWAYS a chance for a goofy proposal!

  4. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Tim

We are middle of the pack in dropped passes
This stat is never the best recorded stat
But you can see both sites have us 15th and 18th

I’m seeing a lot of poor passes being called drops by a lot of people

    • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

OKAY, PIGGY, give us your plan to bring in a QB to start for the Dolphins in game #1 next season?? I’M BETTING YOU CAN’T DO IT!!! – – And I’ll bet even more money that Ross’s DOOFUS BRIGADE can’t do it. either!! It’s one thing to whine about quarterbacking. It’s QUITE ANOTHER to have a feasible plan THAT WILL ACCOMPLISH THE GOAL. Given our salary cap issues AND our horrid leadership, I see NO WAY MIAMI improves its quarterbacking for game #1 next season. MY PLAN, by the way, is to get us a middle-of-the-road OFFENSIVE LINE BY DRAFTING O-LINEMEN IN rounds 1 and 3 in the upcoming draft. With the CURRENT O-Line, Tanny, or any other QB, DOESN’T HAVE A CHANCE TO BE A TOP 10 QB!!
      ———-
OK, MR. PIGGY, LET’S SEE YOUR PLAN! –I SINCERELY HOPE IT WORKS!

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I don’t want to bring in a new qb in 2016

I want focus on defense this offseason

I just think people are giving Ryan Tannehill a pass
Tanny won’t be any better if we spend an entire draft on OL
Tanny won’t be better if we make the WR unit over
He might get better on his own
Right now he is behind the learning curve though
And I’m not happy about that or the constant need for people to defend him when he is criticized

If his play is better the offense is much better
If it’s not it will bee more of the same in 2016

I would not toy too much with the OL or WR if your qb sets them all back anyway
Maybe bring in a vet OG or depth at OL
        But not developmental guys

Just focus on D this offseason and if Tanny can’t bring up his play
We know we need a new direction in 2017
And we would have built up the D in the interim

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Someone posted a stat just recently that had us with over 30 drops, that’s what I was going by.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

That some one was Lauren Tannehill…lol

We are fine in that capacity
Landry is our leader in drops and he has a lot more targets than the people around him statistically

        We have good receivers
But I know the dialogue now is targeting our receivers

  5. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Watch Vernon who is leading all RDEs in QB pressures pad his sack total from 7 to 12 the last 3 games so he can use those stats to get a big pay day when he really didn’t impact games like his stats would indicate.

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

He’s defintely been more of a force since Wake went down. I doubt we’ll be able to afford to keep him.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I like Vernon, but we’ve all watched him for 4 years and he’s not a great player, he’s a good player. He’ll get more money than he’s worth just like Odrick did.

  6. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Piggy, my reply to Son was it’s not all about Ryan. Our defense stinks and we still can’t figure out Lamar Miller is our best offensive player, not Landry.

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

That’s the thing Tim, no one here is saying it’s all about Tannehill, but whenever anyone brings up his lack of leadership or lack of ability to really take over a game, people just point out the OL, defense, receivers, poor play calling, etc. I’ve been on Tannehill for a while now, but I’m not ignoring those other factors either. The fact of tha matter is, he’s the QB; he’s going to get most of the praise in a win and most of the blame in a loss. That’s why QB’s get the big bucks.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

      Yeah
But every time some one mentions Tanny
Even when they don’t say it’s all about him
That is what people do – “well this sucks too”

  7. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Alex Smith leads the league right now in being sacked
He has been sacked 40 times
Bridgewater, bortles and Wilson all sacked more times than Tanny
Tanny is tied with 4 other qb for most sacks including today’s opponent Rivers (35)
Brady is behind those guys with 32

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

The OL has been pass protecting much better in the last 4-5 games.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

        And run blocking very well
We just don’t stick with it

      • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

NOT SURE, Brian, that the O-Line has pass protected all that well in recent games. ANYONE, include Mr. Piggy, who thinks THIS O-Line is good enough to go “as is” next season is either blind or delusional. IF we follow Piggy’s advice and draft NO O-Linemen, one thing’d for sure: the O-Line WILL BE WORSE NEXT SEASON as Albert gets older and James gets fatter and more out of shape. IS THAT WHAT YOU REALLY WANT FOR THIS TEAM?? WELL, at least you’ll be able to say “Tanny’s having another shitty season” with even more gusto.
        ——————
I’d prefer to say “Tanny’s done better in 2016 because we’ve drafted two O-Line replacements who’ve given him more time to pass the ball and better blocking at the point of attack!” And the other 5 draft choices will STILL BE AVAILABLE to help a defense that definitely needs to be upgraded. The BIG QUESTION IS THIS: Will Ross let the “DOOFUS BRIGADE” do the drafting and signing of not-so-free agents and draft picks OR will ROSS opt for a complete makeover of the front office and consult experts like Bill Polian regarding WHO TO HIRE for next season?? –ROSS THINKS HE knows who to hire for these crucial jobs. But the fact is HE DOESN’T HAVE A CLUE, BASED ON HIS RECORD-SETTING 7 CONSECUTIVE NON-WINNING SEASONS AS FRANCHISE OWNER!!

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

What’s the point of this stat? You’re not suggesting our OL is good in pass pro are you because they’re not? Tanny gets hit after just about every throw and our pass pro always fails in the big spot. One way to help prevent that is to keep the ball on the ground with an excellent RB in Lamar Miller but we can’t seem to stick with that. No we have to lineup in shotgun on every down and throw bubble screens.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

        Geez
I should be able to post a stat about sacks without people getting defensive

Tanny is not the most sacked qb in the nfl
        Alex smith is
Tanny has only been sacked 3 more times than Brady
I actually this the patriot OL is questionable

I think if we just stuck with the run our OL would look much better

      • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

See my avi- you don’t have to sell me on Miller. I’ve been touting him since his rookie season. We’ll probably lose him in the offseason, which would be a major loss. I’d rather keep him that Vernon TBH. Tannehill has been getting hit a lot less in the past four weeks compared to the rest of the season.

  8. New Age's avatar New Age says:

I wouldn’t waste another top pick to get a coach who has one SB, a couple playoff appearances, and one of the worst teams in the NFL the last few years. Payton wants full control but is an awful drafter. Brees is almost broken and definitely almost done with football. That would be one of the biggest mistakes out FO has ever made. It would set us back at least another 5 years.

Tannehill is average but our defense stinks. Like Piggy, I would draft defense, see if we can finally gt most of our OL to actually play most of a season, and spend mot of the time making sure I got the right coaches. Hue, Shula, and maybe two other really solid guys should be focused on. Get the guy who can get a great staff.

Oh, and the Jets just accomplished something we haven’t in a half decade with a newbie coach. Yeah. we suck.

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I agree. I don’t want to spend draft picks to bring in a coach, unlewss it’s Belichick. We have way too many needs right now to be wasting picks.

  9. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

If I was going to tank biggest problems on offense I would rank
1 Playcalling/design this includes abandoning the run of no reason
    2. Qb play
    3 OL
    4 recievers including TEs
    5 RBs

1 probably makes everybody else worse
But 2 is in serious need of improvement as well

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

That’s how I would rate it as well. I think the OL can be extremely good if we can get them all playing at some point in history. We could honestly be a lot like Seattle if we drafted the right defensive parts and had the right coaches.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

It’s a little too soon for me to give up on Tanny
I would focus elsewhere this offseason
But I would not rely on Tanny or the offense to make us a legit playoff contender
Drafting DBS, LBs and maybe a pass rusher just makes a lot more sense to me

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

      Can’t argue with that.

  10. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Brian, so what you’re saying is if everyone doesn’t agree with those assessments of Tannehill we must agree or we’re homers and you guys are just being realistic? People most definitely do blame Tannehill more than anyone else.

So in the Giants game we lead 17-10 with less than two minutes left in the half and what happened? Then we open up the 3rd qtr and Tanny hits Stills for a 47 yard TD then what happens? Oh right he didn’t throw a 4th qtr TD or lead the team to victory so that’s on him. How did the Giants score in the 4th qtr to beat us? Oh right we had them pinned deep and what happened? We don’t play complimentary football as a team.

My view has been we’re not a good team and it’s not all about RT. So I guess I can accuse some of you of defending other players not doing a good enough job. We’re not a good team right now, it’s pretty simple.

    • Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I get that, and I’m not singling you out Tim. I’m just saying that typically when Tannehill is critiqued, there is someone there to say it isn’t his fault, and that it’s the team as an whole. No one is denying that this defense sucks, and the OL needs some work.

  11. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Tanny has a great skillset and we really do need to find a coach that optimizes him. Looking at Hue real closely now Red Rocket is done. Shula has obviously done well with Cam and Tanny has some of the same gifts. Wouldn’t mind him either but just depends on who these guys could bring with them to Miami. Part of Bowles success is the people he brought with them. They still a very average team but they finding ways to win.

    • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

NEW AGE: DOES IT BOTHER YOU that Ross kicked Bowles out the door and ended up picking Philbin?? –Bowles likely will go at least 10-6 this year and perhaps make the playoffs while our team continues to flounder.

  12. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Piggy, I wasn’t being defensive. You posted those stats out of nowhere because you like others don’t put most of the blame on Tannehill. LOL

Who said he’s the most sacked this year? He doesn’t have to be #1 in sacks to say we stink in pass pro which we do.

Brian, I see Tannehill picking himself up off the ground quite often. Even the announcers point it out.

I also think Tannehill needs to play better and I believe he can. But I look at everything that has happened this year and see the entire team in disarray. That tends to happen when the HC, DC and OC were all fired. Also many here say we have poor coaching but that seems to get lost when it comes to Tannehill but excuses were made for Suh not being in the right scheme blah blah blah. It’s a team issue, I’m pretty sure they’re all low on confidence.

  13. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

BRIAN & PIGGY; Reply for you below your 9:58 and 9:59 posts. ENJOY!

  14. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Part of the problem with Tannehill is I don’t believe he’s a 40+ shotgun pocket passer. He’d be better suited in a more balanced scheme. He’s not a gunslinger, he’s more of a system QB who has very good mobility and athleticism but we don’t move him around a lot. Sure we let him keep it it a few times here and there on option reads and maybe bootleg or roll him out 2-3 times per game but always revert to shotgun even on short yardage. It’s a flawed system and it seems most here agree yet we still keep evaluating him based on that. I hate our offensive scheme and I hop next year it looks nothing like this.

I also want to see us re-sign Miller. Letting him go will be a huge loss and Ajayi isn’t as good as Miller. He’s shown some good skills but he’s not as explosive as Miller.

    • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

TOTALLY AGREE ON MILLER-TIME. –We must resign him.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I think he’s one of the most talented backs in the league. If we let him walk and he ends up in Denver in Kubiak’s system watch him lead the league in rushing or be one of the top backs.

Miller is entering his prime starting to find daylight more and more and he’s breaking off big runs now where he used to just miss it. If we let him walk it will be a huge loss.

  15. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

OD, why do you say James will get fatter and more out of shape?

    • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

BECAUSE a friend who has seen James in the last couple of weeks says “James hasn’t missed any meals during the two months he’s been on the sidelines with a bad toe. James has DEFINITELY PUT ON WEIGHT and seems fatter.”
      ——————–
The Philbin regime did NOT put enough emphasis on conditioning IMHO. That’s one reason WHY Miami lost so many games in the 4th quarter over the last several seasons. While it’s true management can no longer pull “3-A-Days” as Shula did during the summer training camp, they can push overall body fat numbers and conditioning tests and CUT those who do NOT measure up! Whoever is the next HC, he MUST tell the players that “Fat and out of shape” will get you CUT, and MEAN IT!!!

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He can’t run with turf toe which is how guys burn off fat. He’s a big man at 6-6 320. Those guys don’t get thin when they can’t condition. He won’t be like that once he heels up.

Also Shula had some pretty poorly condition teams in the 80s when they would get run on down after down and couldn’t stop anyone. They looked like they were running in lead shoes.

  16. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Only two games on today nationally – Giants/Panthers and Broncos/Steelers. That sucks. Good games but why only two?

How sad is it to say, “if we only had Ryan Fitzpatrick”.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He’s only on his 6th team and in his 10th year and playing the best he’s ever played but people are ready to write off Tannehill in his 4th season playing in a shit offensive system. Look at how the Jets utilize their RBs and move Fitz around so he’s not stationary all the time. No we can’t do that, we must stick to shotgun 90% of the time. You know where there are only 3 running plays – a draw/counter, a stretch run or a keeper. That’s the way to keep a defense on their toes. SMH

By the way, Fitz and the Jets barely beat the Romoless Cowboys. They won because the Cowboys corner screwed up and let the WR run right past him when he was suppose to run with him.

  18. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

I didn’t read the Mando article about Sean Payton and Brees, but, my thoughts on that scenario. IF you want Payton as a HC, it might not be such a bad thing to have Brees as well. Yes, he’s at the end of his career. He’s also a top tier veteran QB that could maybe help Tannehill progress. Not sure how you’d pay for all that though. Plus I don’t know that Brees would want to come to Miami after being passed up earlier in his career. Just something else to talk about and fight over when we don’t have the playoffs to talk about. lol

  19. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

Yes, SON, but by virtue of losing EVERY GAME IN THE AFC EAST BY AT LEAST DOUBLE FIGURES, we’d STILL BE IN LAST PLACE!!–Last season we beat the Patriots by 13, the Bills by 13 and the Jets by 3. This year, barring a miracle over New England, we’ll be 0-6 in the division. SORRY, but I DON’T see anything to celebrate.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Okay maybe they were just slow and not talented. I just remember some pretty bad football and without Marino they would have been one of the worst teams in the league for a 4-5 year run.

I’m not worried about James next season. I’d shut him down this year though. No reason for him to play in a lost season.

    OD

James gets fatter and more out of shape?
    Where is this coming from?
He will be a 3rd year player next season

Am I supposed to want to draft OL in 2016 if they have a 2 year expiration date on them?

An who said the OL is good “as is”?

You can say if we don’t draft ____________ that unit will be worse next year for every unit
If we don’t draft a LB in 2016, the LB unit will be worse
    same with DB
    same with DL
    same with OL
    same with every position

The key is the best way to be competitive in 2016
And I think focusing the draft on defense is the best way to do that

Its really tough to say what will happen in 2016 when we don’t know who the coach is
each coach has there own style

if the HC decides he wants to focus on the OL and have an OL overhaul – I don’t think its the end of the world either
    as long as its effective
more than anything else I want this team to have an identity and be elite at something
I really don’t care what it is

I just prefer we focus on defense and building around Suh
it seems like the smart route to have the most immediate effect IMO

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We need depth at tackle but I would not rely on rookie OL. We need to add a proven vet guard at a solid market price, not a big contract and let the 3 youngins compete for one spot.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

        I agree
we have a bunch of young guys competeing inside

Vet OG and vet backups being added to the mix is probably what we need
We won’t have a lot of FA $ to spend
but there is alwys a little change over
and I think spending it on OL is the way to go – not drafting young guys

I really have to see how the draft shapes up before I rule it out though

    • olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

PIGGY: YOU said NOT to draft O-Line in 2016–which tells me you think they are “good-to-go” as is. And I NEVER said OL has a 2-year expiration date on them–YOU DID!! Making up lies about what I have said is a trait another member of this board has already perfected.THE TRUTH IS our O-Line sucks and those who think it is OK either don’t know football OR have serious vision issues OR have some kind of built-in prejudice that needs to be satisfied by LYING!! –Well, counselor, you are out of order on this one. THIS team will NOT get better with the current O-Line’s performance. The O-Line MUST, I say MUST, be improved for ANY QB to have playoff success.

  27. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

There were rumors that the Chargers were shopping Rivers last season

There is a possibility he is available this offseason

Would you trade Tanny for Rivers straight up if that trade was available?

  28. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    when we talk about Tannehill
I think part of the issue is that this sort of finesse offense was designed for big passing stats

This team was not really built for balance

I also think he would be better with balance and a much different design of the offense – like many people say

If there were changes next season in terms of having better balance
    Tanny’s stats might decline sharply
but we might be winning more

    That being said
I am really bothered by Tanny’s inability to make a play when he needs to make a play which I think he fails to do consistently
Even if we had more balance on offense
there are going to be moments when the QB has to make a play
or the QB has the ball last in the game
And Tanny seems to be at his worst when he is asked to do this

If he can’t make plays when he needs to
I don’t think he will thrive in any system

I think leaving San Diego for LA is more an issue about moving the team

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Not very realistic and until this year Cam was not killing it so it’s easy to go there now. The Panthers are having a wonderful year and they’re getting contributions from everywhere. That and Cam is unique. Not many QBs are 6-5 250 who can run like that. Tanny is like 6-4 220. They’re not the same.

      • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

You are right- they are not the same. One of them can take a crappy situation and find a way to finish on the +side, and the other.. has a vociferous crowd that comes to his defense anytime anything remotely critical is said about him. 🤔

I figure we’ve tried plenty of coaches and QBs to no avail, so why not go all out. Here’s a proposed trade scenario that will not only land us Mike McCarthy, along with Aaron Rogers, but also give us Rivera and Newton. We double down on both positions, let them cage fight for the starting HC and QB position and with this influx of talent we should be able to get to maybe 10 wins next year and a possible playoff spot!

Piggy …LOL …Also prepare for one of Tannehill’s champions to post a list of 6 or 7 QB’s who played worse than Tannehill today. As if this excuses all of Tannehill’s flaws. Clearly Tanny can only be criticized if every other QB in the league was better on that day.

  36. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Piggy, have you also noticed because of the offensive system we run which limits our options, our pass pro struggles the most in those clutch situations? You know when we become one dimensional and defenses pin their ears back. You agree our offensive system stinks and then in crunch time it’s all about RT. That’s what I’ve been saying all along. You can’t separate the two for that situation. We do it to ourselves.

  37. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

As for Cam he’s been my favorite player since he entered the league. With Suh second.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

      That is well established. LOL

But why would Carolina trade Cam, he was the #1 overall pick in 2011? They’re developing him and he’s entering his prime and is playing on an MVP level. You stick with it. You don’t give up on a QB like RT at this time. He’s not playing poorly overall, he’s just not having that take the next step season and his team is also not very good. Okay, maybe it happens in his 5th, 6th or 7th season and maybe on another team. maybe it never happens, but it’s too early to make that call, it really is.

We’re also at the bottom in a lot of defensive categories but that’s not important. 😉

  38. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I figure my trade scenario is slightly less ridiculous than Mando’s. I’m not giving up 2 firsts for any coach and for a QB showing his age and with maybe 2-3 years left. Especially when those 2-3 years I won’t have any 1st rd picks!

  39. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

Tanny for sure the state next year unless the new coach just absolutely hated him. It’s also not an overly strong QB class this next year so drafting a guy unless we wind up top 5 won’t be a likely scenario.

We may bring a guy in FA to challenge him more than Moore ever has but I don’t see us busting of a high draft pick out dropping a ton of money on a very in FA. Year after next all bets are off on keeping him and I’m sure it will hinge greatly on if he bounces back next year.

He has never been exceptional but he has until this year always seemed headed in the right direction. So I think he deserves what I’m pretty sure he will get which is a chance to turn things around.

If bet money we invest stirringly on the defensive side of the ball. We have real holes there in positions you can’t afford to have holes and we got more coming in FA. I’m not certain it won’t be a fully defensive draft, maybe a RB prospect to help if we lose out on Miller in FA. We may also invest in a OK but if we don’t get one in first couple of rounds we would be better off just picking up someone in FA.

Going to be interesting to see how they go but QB in certain is set for next year.

Tannehill doesn’t suck! How’s that! He just doesn’t! He’s not having a great year, but a lot of QB’s would like to have this be their worst year. It’s logical that with every unit playing poorly, or worse than last year, that the QB would also slip a little. Tannehill may not be the savior, but he’s not the pariah either. Personally, I think he’s far down on the list of problems. If he sucks next year, or more specifically, doesn’t improve next year, with better coaches and a better system, you can ALL tell me to stick it. Until that time, start looking at the big picture, and stop worrying about other QB’s are doing around the league.
