I hope everyone had a great Christmas and had lots of good times with friends and family. Or at least had some good liquor to get through it. If the latter is the case I hope you’ve still got some at hand. It’s game day and usually that calls for some heavy drinking to numb the senses to watch as the Dolphins play their brand of football.
Let’s Go Dolphins.

I wouldn’t rely on any of the OL we currently have on the roster not named Albert or James or Pouncey.
That’s my point, adding more inexperienced guys could be more of the same or worse if you can imagine that.
Maybe, maybe not. Maybe we just need good players.
The page turn is strong with me . . .

Miami Dolphins Cheer @MDCheer 27m27 minutes ago
Find out tomorrow who our next Cheerleader of the Week is!
Oh the excitement! I’m not sure I’ll be able to sleep tonight.
They are the most prepared Miami squad week in and week out! 😉
Can’t argue that
Stop it Herd! LOL
This weekend I’m rooting for the bills. Go Sexy Rexy!
In yesterday’s Jets / NE game I was rooting for……….”Defense” LOL
I cannot root for another division team even if it is against a division team!
I’m with you. But I just hate the Jets too much to see them go to the playoffs with our coaches, Bowels and Rodgers.
I don’t even care if the Jets get in, I really don’t. I’m tired of hating teams because they’re better than my shitty team. Fuck the Dolphins! Let all the AFC East teams except the Dolphins go to the playoffs, who cares? We suck either way.
I don’t care either.
I was just kidding around with my all OL draft! I know you cannot depend on all rookies and that some of our young guys may step up next year. (my Mathis comment earlier) My gist was, even with Pouncey, James and Albert on the field and healthy (when has that happened all at once??) our O line still sucks. Three first round picks and we cannot find two guys to play with them to put together a workable O line!
Mike E, we definitely need better OL play. Not sure if some of the young guys we have can become good or they’re simply not good. Not sure how the OL will be addressed but it needs to be addressed.
I noticed Branden Albert playing well yesterday despite the other 4 not playing well. Still too many defenders in the backfield too often.
Wife tells me meadowlark lemon died. Great guy- funny. RIP
Oh man, that sucks. Love the Globetrotters. I was listening to the radio the other day, and the host had Curly Neal on. They were supposed to be doing a show with the old and new Trotters. RIP Meadowlark
Saturday morning tv- Meadowlark, Curly, Geese, Tex, Marquis- Rodney Allen Ripey…
It’s like we don’t even have rivalries with the Patriots and Bills. We don’t belong on the same field as those 2 teams. The Jets we can beat occasionally, but not this year. It really sucks to be the absolute worst team in your division
yup. now we know how the browns and raiders fans have felt like for the last decade.
Tim
Think maybe it’s time to drop this ZBS? I’m thinking that might not be a bad idea.
The ZBS is mainly in the run game and when we actually go to it we have success. Lots of teams run a ZBS, it’s not like we run this rare scheme. LOL
Our guards and depth at tackle really struggle in pass pro. So when Albert, Pouncey and James struggle at times and all OL do, it looks even worse overall.
Looks like Miko is at it again.
“I knew this qb stunk the minute we signed to this team but I tried to keep quiet so I didn’t discourage bae from believing in his team,” she tweeted.
Of Tannehill she also tweeted: “I should’ve known we were gonna lose when I heard we didn’t complete a single pass in two minute drills this week against the practice squad defense.” She added: “My Column: how many people does Ryan Tannehill have to get fired before you realize he’s the problem.”
Miko Grimes also continued her criticism of three local sportswriters, tweeting profane comments about the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley and Armando Salguero and Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. She refers to the men as “the Triple A’s.” She also tweeted: “In conclusion … the triple A’s have an agenda. Destroy the defense and make everything look like Tannehill is not the problem. #GotIt.”
She needs to be taken out with the trash.
BTW – Bae sucks now, so she should just STFU
Poor Brent Grimes. The day my wife got involved in my work like that…….she no longer would be, least if she kept it up.
I’m having dinner at the bar with the better half and one of her friends yesterday. Place is dead the Sunday after X-Mas with all the snowbirds at the holidays up north. Like eight other people in the thirty seats upfront that would normally be packed.
I order the cheapest bottle of champagne they have (cost less than if i’d ordered shots for our three-some) and tell him to split it up and give everyone at the bar a glass.
He said — “You want me to tell them it is from you”?
I said — “Nope…..tell them it is from the ’72 Dolphins.”
That’s pretty cool Stanger
Awesome!
Happy though that some now get to align themselves and their thinking with Miko. lol
Perfect! LMAO!

So Omar & Miko are two peas in a pod of unhappy people who are idiots.
Buh Bye Brett and take your traveling side show with ya!
My wife told me about Meadowlark Lemon when I was leaving for work this morning. That sucks. So many of my childhood celebrities etc. dying really makes you realize you’re getting up there too and mortality becomes very real. It’s not a great feeling. LOL
Yeah, kinda scary, but mostly sad.
In a tweet Sunday evening, Mrs. Grimes suggested the three reporters have intercourse with Magic Johnson’s sexual organ. Except she used more explicit language.
Oh, and she’s not cool with Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
My interaction with Mrs. Grimes began in the preseason when she confronted me about something that I had written relative to Tannehill that compared the Miami quarterback’s stats to Baltimore QB Joe Flacco’s stats. Grimes took exception to me calling her out when she sub-tweeted me saying that their records were not similar. True, I responded. Their records are not the same. But football is a team sport. And also not equal with Tannehill and Flacco is the talent or coaching around them.
Anyway, at our pleasant initial meeting she called me a “p—y.”
I walked away.
I think we should go Ramsey or one of the top Lb in the first. I wouldn’t mind a really good OT in the second and then just go defense the rest of the way. Or we could trade down in the second and get an OT and maybe a TE in the 3rd with the rest on defense.
We definitely could use another 1-2 blue chippers but we have some talent. We just haven’t had the coaching and our FAs have been awful.
We’re gonna need a CB now in the early draft & or FA.
Grimes is gone!
I’d like 2 of them this year. One early and one late.
Id go Hargreaves, Ramsey is a FS. Ive toyed around with several scenarios, and i wouldnt be opposed to trading a future 1st and another pick to move back into the first round either to get a couple blue chippers. If i could get a stud DE and CB in the 1st, with the talent there this year, id do it. OT and ILB are something we can find good ones in 2nd. Most the ILBs are 2nd to 3rd round level players anyways, OT is a deep draft and will have starting talent into the 2nd and possibly 3rd rounds.
I want Grimes gone because he hasn’t shut his big mouth wife down, is too old for the production we are getting…and probably wont produce next year either. Cut ’em while the time is good.

——————————————-
Just think, if we lose the last game, we would be in position to draft Grimes replacement, which would be my priority 1st round position to draft for, followed by DE, OT and then ILB. Before panties get in a bunch thats taking into consideration a lot of factors like depth at certain positions, etc.
whichever CB we draft has to start day 1. I don’t want dee milner. I want patrick peterson.
That would be nice, or a Josh Norman type.
I’d bench Grimes for the last game.
I’d also bench many of the starters including Tanny. No sense in losing him for a 12mo recovery if injured worse.
Stanger
What were some of the reactions that you got?
Like Piggy, I wouldn’t be against drafting completely on defense and trying to get a good FA OL. Our biggest problem on the OL is constant injury, not the talent.
defense is the main issue with this team so I agree. The oline could be fixed with FAs and later in draft.
That’s a big part of it too. No chemistry. Our offensive scheme doesn’t do them any favors either.
Miko really is trashy. Yeah there is an agenda of blaming the defense and protecting Tannehill. LOL
How about the defense is bad in every category. Most fans who are realistic should realize this team is broken in most phases and not about one player.
If she thinks Tanny is the reason her husband gets toasted & the run D is bottom of the league, well then it just shows her stupidity.
How much do you bet once grimes no longer plays its only a matter of time before they separate?
He seems so grounded and humble. Sometimes opposites attract. She probably seduced him with her sluttery and he can’t give it up. LOL
The CB I wanted in the DFF draft was Des Trufant. He hasn’t been spectacular, but he’s very solid.
Amen Brother!
Tanny & Lauren probably acted as if they couldn’t stand her (who could the moment she opens her mouth about anything) at a function early on, so she’s been on her witch hunt since. That and she has fellow racist Nomar in her ear, and on twitter, and on private texts…..better check yoself Brett.
Omar and her probably don’t like the Tannehill’s look if you know what I’m saying. 😉
“Just look at them happy white privilege crackers all smiling and being the life of the party.”
D,
Good info about the draft. Hargreaves is definitely one I would want. I dont really care who we get where but we need elite in the first and hopefully at least really, really good in the next two rounds.
I look at teams like the Jets turn things around quickly and know that we could easily do this. We need the right coach so badly.
A lot/few people have compared Tannehill to Alex Smith.
Look at the Chiefs now. 8 straight wins with a QB that rarely throws a TD to a WR.
Chiefs have a GOOD defense, GOOD coaching/play calling, & stay committed to running the ball.
Miami is trying to play Arena League ball.
The passing offense is probably what is holding KC back from being a serious contender
I don’t want grimes gone
I think we bring cbs in and let them take the job
I don’t think k grimes has a lot left
I’m All for an early cb pick
But I see no reason to target another player as a goat
Particularly bc of what his wife said
I’m tired of this merry go round of finding players to blame and cutting them
Taking a cap hit
And then spending an offseason replacing the,
We need to get better
Not get worse before trying to get better
Who care if Miko or Omar insults Tanny
She’s using foul language in the media against the local writers AND against the team itself.
She’s an embarrassment to the Dolphins hallowed organization that just celebrated their 50th year.
Sorry but as an owner you can’t have that!
An owner can’t step in and censor the players wives
That would look worse
It’s not about what they say about Tannehill, it’s that she lacks class and doesn’t keep to herself. There’s a lot of names I could use to describer her but I won’t.
Why not?
When did we become puritans here?
She is a cheap cunt
I get it
There’s a ton
But she criticizes Tannehill and she is the antichrist too
She’s in the wrong line of work
No one would pay attention to her of she wasn’t a players wife
When grimes is done as a pkayer
She will be done in miami
And that is the only thing that matters when it comes to Miko/Brent grimes
Richard Sherman and Josh Norman were both 5th rd picks. You don’t have to go corner in the 1st round and most scouts see Ramsey as a safety not a corner due to lack of high end speed.
Whether or not Tannehill is the answer or not has nothing to do with how poorly Brett Grimes has played along with the rest of the defense for that matter. Miko ought to take a closer look at hubby before she bashes anyone else on the team.
BTW Miko you say you knew he was a lousy QB when you signed here but you still signed here
GDP,
The thing that pisses me off most is the inability to change things or fix problems. At no time this year did they try to use the running game. Tannehill has regressed so what had the QB coach been doing? Same for training the younger players in certain positions. Sure, we’ve had half our coaching staff fired but it’s not like they were doing a good job before they were canned.
New coaches and new regimes often mean new qbs
It really doesn’t make a difference how people feel about Tannehill
It matters how the new coach feels
I think the possibility of drafting a qb early is pretty high
Goff, Paxton lynch and Connor cook might all be available when we pick
It’s not the route I want to go
But I would not blame a new coach from not wanting to invest his future in Tannehill
if we go QB that high then I think there is a good chance we trade tanny.
He has trade value
We might be able to get a good pick
It’s really up to the new coach/GM
I prefer we focus on defense in the draft
But I don’t know if I was a bc coach coming to the team I would want to invest in tanny
I’d be shocked if we did.
I think it is unlikely we do that but not out of the realm of possibility. I don’t see this as a great QB and I don’t believe that any of those are a sure thing but a new HC may want his guy. I think this depends on what happens in the FO. If Tannenbaum is back I doubt we go QB
I think there are plenty of experts that think lynch, cook and goff can be better than Tannehill and are franchise qbs
It’s unpredictable
But it’s a risk either way with Tanny
You have to hope the coach thinks he can be better
And I don’t know that a hc is going to think that
piggy,
grimes got schooled by both marshall and watkins this year. He was beat many times with big receivers. I don’t know what his contract situation is but if we can cut him and don’t take a huge hit he’s as good as gone. He’s not worth the money he’s due in 2016. Was below average all year.
Grimes was horrible this year
I wouldn’t go that far, but the decline is clear. Not sure if that is physical or Miko involved.
Yeah he’s been bad
It happens
I want to draft a cb
I wanted one last year
But we don’t need to make players goats every year and then get desperate to replace them
I would rather have the best defensive player in the draft
Then need a cb
I’m not defending grimes
I just think we do this stupid thing each year
We need to get better and bring in good players
Not just swap positions iur and hope we made the right moves
I was thinking about our defense yesterday and I really don’t care about what scheme we play. We need to add players who can play in any scheme. It’s not a good thing when you have all your talent pigeon holed into a strict position. He’s only a this and he’s only a that. Just add good players and go from there.
Scheme/play calling does have a lot to do with it. You have to find ways to bring pressure to the QB, fill the gaps to stop the run, and confuse the QB pre-snap.
I’m talking about personnel vs. 4-3 or 3-4. Just get good players than use them to their strengths.
Ok, yes, we do need to add more talent. But we also got good players….just not putting them in positions to excel…..it’s a lot of both….IMO.
Piggy, an owner can censor a wife….by cutting ties with her husband. Then she can bitch about Gabbert & SF all she wants. 😉
We should make personnel moves based I what a players wife says
We need to get better
And that’s the only thing that matters
No, not generally if it’s an isolated thing….but this has been Miko’s sideshow act since her and ‘Bae’ got here.

What were some of the reactions that you got?
——————-
Mike E — there were four couples and I watched as they were delivered and talked to the bartender after.
One couple immediately laughed hard.
Two of the couples laughed after the bartender explained (and the Panthers had only lost shortly before).
The fourth either didn’t get it or couldn’t care less……..but we talked to the woman before the guy showed up and they were on an internet date meet. One that from what I saw wasn’t going well anyhow.
So Rock was there? 😉
Unfortunately Brent Grimes will be here next year again and probably starting again due to his $12M cap hit / dead money in 2016.
Below is the “Dead money” we paid out THIS year….
Dead Money
Name Cap Number
Mike Wallace $6,600,000
Dannell Ellerbe $6,400,000
Brian Hartline $4,200,000
Philip Wheeler $1,400,000
Randy Starks $1,000,000
Cortland Finnegan $1,000,000
Brandon Gibson $1,000,000
Brandon Fields $870,000
Zack Bowman $665,000
CJ Mosley $665,000
Jeff Linkenbach $531,765
Jordan Kovacs $467,353
A.J. Francis $320,000
J.D. Walton $275,000
Sam Brenner $270,000
Shelley Smith $250,000
Jacques McClendon $240,883
Brandon Williams $240,882
Jonas Gray $240,000
Will Davis $200,006
Yeah
But his wife is mean to Tanny….
The Dolphins suck, but Bob Ross still rocks! 🙂
http://www.twitch.tv/bobross
If you guys don’t think the dolphins are looking at 1st round qbs your Tanny eyes are affecting your opinion
I don’t know which direction they go
Bit it should not be viewed as unlikely
Or you are letting your Tannyhate affect your opinion. Again I said unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility
He’s not very good
And I suspect people who are not enamored with him (possible hc candidates) see that
I don’t think there is a reasonable debate to thinking that new coaches/regimes often don’t start with the qb position
It’s wishful thinking to think its unlikely
We have a top 10 pick
And we may be starting over
Some one has to believe in Tannehill to stick with him
There are other parts of this team that need improvement
But the qb play is one of them
Either some one think they can make Tanny a franchise qb
Or they think they need a different direction
I don’t know why people assume a new coach can make Tanny a good qb
That is often not the way it works
I don’t think they are. I think they clearly see what the announcers point out very week about protection, and that our lack of commitment to the running game is absurd, and our defense stinks.
In the big scheme of things, I don’t really care who makes up our team as long as we become good again. But this season has been classic fan backlash at everything and not seeing the forest for the trees but that’s my opinion.
Piggy
I wouldn’t get rid of Grimes because of his lowlife wife, I’d get rid of him because he can’t cover anyone in our division.
We want tog get rid of everyone (except special treatment Tanny)
The focus should be on bringing in people
You can cut guys in camp too
exactly. Maybe he can still play the slot. on the outside, he was horrible against many of the receivers we played.

LOL @ Piggy now pushing for Phins to spend top 5-7 pick on QB.
Has Miko been wallering around in your stall or the other way around? 😉
I’m not pushing
I want defense to build around Suh the only player on our team you can build around
I just know this tired routine
Cut ____ we are a bad team
We should just bring in players
I don’t know that lippett or McCain can be starters
But McCain strikes me as a nickel
I don’t see grimes as the future
But there are many ways to plan for the future
And cutting guys bc of their wives is probably a bad plan
He wants to be the next one on the cake. LOL
Piggy
I honestly don’t think we’ll be looking at 1st RD QB’s. I suppose if the guys they hire think Tanny isn’t workable, we might, but I doubt that any exec or HC will feel that way.
The Flying Pig says:

But his wife is mean to Tanny….
Reply
Piggy, I don’t care that the crack head is ‘mean’ to Tannehill. She is a PIG and has no class whatsoever, but that is not my problem with Grimes. His play and his bloated salary are. It would just be an added bonus not to ever hear from her again.
I don’t pay attention to her anymore
We will see what happens with grimes this offseason
I was calling for a cb last draft
We defiantly need improvement there
But cutting people doesn’t make you better
Around the half way point of the season it was like Grimes’s game fell off a cliff. It was like he got old all at once.
It happens like that. He can still make a sensational play but down after down he’s not the same guy.
LOL @ Special Treatment Tanny. He was a QB on the rise until this year. I think almost everyone in here felt that way. So he didn’t have a good season on this shitty team. He also wasn’t as shitty as the team overall, he just wasn’t great. It seems very knee jerk of you guys, just saying. Grimes is at the end of his career as a 32 YO undersized CB. Not sure how he gets compared to Tanny, but whatevs.
People were critical of Tanny last season too
I think people were hoping he would correct his flaws
Instead in 2015 he regressed
I think the problem with both you and Son, who I believe are on exactly the same wavelength, is that you think the QB can elevate the team on his own. You both think that Tanny should have been better on this shit team, and because he wasn’t, we’re a shit team. I think that’s the problem. Tannehill is a player on a shitty team, and the team would be shitty whether he was the QB, or Cam Newton was the QB, or Kirk Cousins was the QB. Don’t look at what those guys are doing in their respective situations, NO, put them on this shit team with no direction, no coaching, no idea what they’re doing with this O-line that just lets people through without an admission ticket, no balance in the offense, nothing. I don’t think organization tried to hide Tannehill’s deficiencies, I think they magnified them by having him throw 40 times a game so often. If they wanted to make his job easier, they would have ran the ball 25-30 times a game.
It’s hard to progress to another level when the team around you isn’t any good. There were so many things that went on this year but you stay focused on one position.
Mike E,
I was talking to a devout Skins fan I was watching the Sat Nite game with….and was telling him looks like you guys found your QB in Cousins after the RG3 multiple picks debacle.
Then I asked him, I’m just curious and want to hear another team’s fan opinion on Tannehill.
He said he liked him and would take him in a heartbeat. Saw a lot of good stuff from him.
BTW, this older gentleman played OL & TE in college. He still looks like a runaway beer truck….lol
counsins is where tanny was last year. Playing for a $100 million contract. Lets see how he plays after he gets paid.
True, and once teams got a full season of game tapes on his tendencies…..something that all QB coaches, QB’s, & OC’s need to be aware of when game planning & play calling for the 1 player who touches the ball the most.
Piggy:
I don’t think anyone is saying cut Grimes because of Miko and if they are you are correct. You don’t make personnel decisions based on a player’s wife. But when you look at Grimes’s play this season, especially the 2nd and half of the season and his salary, it would not shock me if he was let go in the off season.
We shouldn’t be cutting players at all unless it benefits the salary cap
We should just bring in better players
It’s not the way our team functions
We need goats
I think we are saying the same thing.
Cousins is playing very well right now, he didn’t play great all season, he’s hot. Let’s see what happens after he has first bad game, see how he rebounds.
His kneel down at the goal line to end the 1st half Sat was a huge WTF are you doing moment…..LOL smh!
I doubt Washington commits big money to Cousins. He is very up and down and has been poor on the road for the most part this year. He kind of reminds me of Jay Fiedler. He is a serviceable game manager who on the right team can win a number of games but ultimately he is not the guy who will get over the hump.
getterdone says:
So Rock was there? 😉
——————-
LOL GDP — but there was a point on why Rock should do internet dating in there. She was mid-thirties, blond and pretty hot. And after a couple friendly interchanges with us…….she kept looking directly at me every thirty-seconds.
I’m thinking “Heck yeah I still got it.” Ten minutes later she shared she was on a first internet date meet. At that point I realized that in her line of sight to the door was me. 🙂
That’s what all high priced escorts say…..and you were the one buying champagne…. 😉
Given what I saw…….just as likely an explanation. No better or worse one for me, but not as good a one for Rock.
Cousins last game was probably better than any game Tanny has ever played in December since Tanny has been here…lol
He he weeeeee, I’m cuckoo for coco puffs.
Pig, I’m not saying cut Grimes solely based on Miko. But he is very costly and as mentioned a 32yo small CB in a league with bigger & bigger WR’s out there.
NE has a way of cutting lose aging high priced vets before it’s too late, sans Brady, to restock their team with younger talent.
At that point I realized that in her line of sight to the door was me. 🙂
The point where Captain Obvious realizes that the hot girl at the bar IS NOT looking at him….
http://www.ispot.tv/ad/7gj1/hotels-com-obvious-eye-contact
I wouldn’t cut Grimes unless he does save some money. But his play was pretty bad this year. I also see where a new coach may want a new QB. As bad as the Skins were ripped off for RG3, they have recovered pretty well from it. They have moved on from their QB too. So, definitely possible.
Coaching is our biggest need. Having some high picks makes us an attractive option. Having Tannehill might make us an attractive option and having Suh definitely will bring in defensive minds for at least the DC. A draft where the DC or HC has defensive player impout would be a definite draw. Will be interesting.
I don’t think Suh is that big of a selling point for any new HC. In fact I think he is a major detriment. We are so heavily invested in him it will prevent any new HC from bringing new talent because of the cap implications. Also I don’t know any HCs that believe that you build around a DT. Maybe if that DT can single handedly and consistently take over a game and turn your D into a monster D. But Suh has not done that here and never really did that in Detroit. He is an elite talent but not one you build around at the price we paid.
Coaches like talent, they don’t handle the cap.
Tim:
Coaches don’t handle the cap but don’t think they are not aware of the implications of high priced contracts and their ability to bring in talent.
Piggy, that’s just not true. Tannehill last year against the Vikings was a very similar performance.
Yes
That’s true
The only game we won in December last year
And it took a 400 yard 4 TD performance to do it because our D really did it’s share.
I haven’t said cut Grimes because of his trash mouth wife. He’s going to be 33 next season and his play definitely dropped off. He’s due $9.5M in 2016 and his cap hit is $3M.
Stanger, perhaps I need to pay and sign up for Match or one of the other pay dating sites, but so far “plenty of fish” has been “plenty of fat black girls” for me. It has been a year and 2 days since my wife left me, but I have not seen a woman on POF or met one in person that i have ANY interest in dating. (maybe I need longer for my bench mark to fall)
Just remember coaches don’t usually like coming to a situation with no QB or an unknown QB. This idea that all coaches want their own QB is not really the deal, it’s not having a QB at all that worries them.
Yeah
But his wife mouths off about Tannehill and suddenly this conversation is ripe
That post had nothing to do with Miko.
Also, remember the Jets were 4-12 last year and are almost in the playoffs this year. I don’t want to hear this 3-4 year shit. How many more examples do you need that it doesn’t work that way anymore?
Plenty of teams turn it around pretty quickly
I got 2 words about Cousins….Jordan Reed….OMG!
Ok & Garcon, DJax, Matt Jones, Morris, & Trent Williams, Spencer Long, Schreff, Moses, help too. 😉
So what if we defend Tannehill?????? He’s our fucking QB, and we signed him to a big contract. I WANT him to succeed. So what? He’s not nearly as bad as some of you make him to be.
That’s a bingo.
He’s pretty bad
Wanting him to succeed and actually succeeding are 2 different things
Im not sure he is with the investment
Forest for the trees. You’d probably blame the engine of a race car because it has square tires. LOL
This is where we differ. I think he is worth the investment, especially for 1 more year which is when we will get some cap relief if we should opt to go in another direction. But I have seen enough out of him to believe he has all the tools to being a good franchise caliber QB. I think he is close to being that. I think what is holding him back now more than anything is lacking good OL play. Last season when Tannehill looked to be on the upswing the OL was playing pretty good. Albert gets injured and the OL started to struggle down the stretch and Tannehill’s performance dropped. To me the correlation is pretty clear. Fix the OL and QB play will improve.
There were 5 games in December last year
Tanny had a 7-4 TD/int ratio
4 of those TDs were vs Vikings
He didn’t get more than 1 in any of the other games
In 4 games this year he is 2/1
He was 9/5 in 2013
And started December on fire
But the last 2 games he was pretty bad
That’s when we had Mike I can’t catch a cold in December Wallace.
He’s even worse in Minny.
He has only thrown 2 TDs in December this year
You can’t blame Wallace for that
At least Tanny is a rock Mike E.
Can you imagine drafting the next coming of say Aaron Rodgers but he’s always missing games due to injuries.
At least we can depend on Tannehill being in there grinding, AND THAT is what will go a LONG way to attracting qualified HC candidates to build on!
For whatever this is worth?
Chris Wittyngham @ChrisWittyngham 4h4 hours ago
Brent Grimes is 81st in the league in opposing QB rating on passes thrown in his direction. 104.1 allowed per @PFF
Ouch. I guess Piggy has a point, we should cut him loose now that he’s slowing down. 😉
We will save $6.5 Million against the cap next year ($3M in dead money) by cutting Grimes
We will save $8.4 Million against he cap next year (1.4M in dead money) by cutting Wake
We will save $7.75 Million against the cap next year (0 dead money) by cutting Quit-on Couples
We will save $7.5 Million against the cap next year ($2M dead money) by cutting Jordan Cameron
Seeing that we are already over the cap for next season I believe we will do all of these.
Dion Fuck Face has a $6.2 M cap number next year with $3.2 Million in savings and $2.99M in dead money. I think he will also be CUT.
We have to make room to pay Suh’s 28.6 M cap number next year and Tannehills 11.6M cap number. (don’t get me started on Brandon Albert’s numbers!!!
Coples was signed with the intent to be a short term rental
Coples will definitely be cut. We’re not paying him $7.75M to compete in camp. LOL
I wouldn’t be surprised if we re-signed him to a one year deal after clearing waivers though.

Oh my….wish I was 20yrs younger
Piggy
This year he wasn’t worth the investment, but there are possibly 2-5 players on this team that were wroth what we paid. BTW, Suh most definitely was not one of them.
I’m not talking about $ paid
I’m talking about the future of the team
Tanny is not worth the time you invest
Not many thought Ryan Fitzpatrick could play anymore either. He’s in the best situation he’s ever been in.
Tim
Tanny is a Forrest fire
Agreed, and the OL and OCs set him on fire. LOL
Piggy, you keep singling out Tanny for the bad play. He’s a sum of the resulting bad play & coaching around him.
No, he’s not without fault, has his screw ups, probably presses too much trying to make something happen, but he’s on a BAD TEAM & it shows at the end of the day!

Before trying to figure out what has happened to the Aaron Rodgers we are used to seeing, let’s acknowledge that the following excuses do have some validity:
Rogers had been exceptional his hole career
And he has dealt with bad OL before and came out of it
Tanny hasn’t earned that kind of faith
Ken
Tanny may be held back by some of the things on this team
It he might just not be very good
If you are a new hc, do you risk your career on Tanny
I do t think we should assume a new system, new coach wil make him better
He may not be here

Campbell says no thought of shutting Tannehill down for season finale. “He’s a tough kid. If he can go, he can go.”
Man I wish he was a better coach!!!!!
You gotta love him!

Stanger, perhaps I need to pay and sign up for Match or one of the other pay dating sites, but so far “plenty of fish” has been “plenty of fat black girls” for me.

Rock — you go to the free sites and you get the trash. Sign up for match……you can afford it.
You got my e-mail. Would be glad to give you the full tutorial. When you are ready for a serious relationship we’ll talk E-Harmony. That’s where I met my wife.
BTW, I was watching the Sun Nite game & Minny / Norv Turner was using a lot of 3 TE sets because of their poor OL play.
This is why/allows AP to keep demoralizing other defenses and opens up the passing play action for Teddy.
We have a talented RB & porous OL too. But we don’t have a solid coordinator that can compensate, so our offense continues to stall.
Tim
Ryan Fitzpatrick is with his old oc
He knew the system
They basically picked him up based in familiarity
It’s not analogous to some one turning around ryan Tannehill…unless we hire Mike Sherman…lol
LMAO, and you call us supporters out for misdirection….lol
It’s more than just that. They have a good group on offense and balance. They’re still not that good of a team, but he’s played pretty clutch for them when he really never was that type of player.
He had his moments in buffalo
Frankly I think in time the shine will fade
Everything came together for the jests with both Fitzpatrick and Marshall
Bowles is a good coach
It’s funny listening to Jet fans prop their team up higher than they really are. They have won 5 in a row against 5-10, 6-9, 3-12, 4-11 and now a 12-3 banged up Pats team. Enjoy the playoff run but simmer down on how good they are. LOL

And LMFAO off…….exactly.
Campbell is right on, Tannehill is a TOUGH kid. That’s why he or any other HC candidate would be ok building around him.
But sure, let’s just take a wild chance on a crapshoot draft & go for an unknown QB…..lol
Like a new hc has never brought in a new qb?
Yeah they have when appropriate, age, injury, or a bust.
I expect a new HC to want one here, or moreso the new GM. But not in the early rounds. Just a kid to develop & compete cause Matt Moore is soon out the door.

The next Free Agent lineman the Miami Dolphins sign
LMAO, nice!
No GDP
New coaches bring in their own guys
Sometimes the qb position is the biggest decision to make
What worries me is this organization has been woefully inept at self-scouting lately. What will they see when they take an honest look a this roster and coaches? There are a lot of question marks on this roster. Do they overvalue some of their players? Do they keep or re-sign guys they should let go? Do they finally start trying to build through the draft, stick to that plan and stop trying to plug holes with high priced FAs that rarely pan out!…or are gone in two years?
***
I have more hope that my prostate will miraculously start shrinking on it’s own than I do in this organization right now.

I agree GDP. I saw that in the game too & thought the same thing. We need really good Coordinators / coaching that can get the most out of the personnel, ala Shula in the glory years.

Why? So you could REMEMBER that they are too hot for you? (memory is the 2nd thing to go……I don’t remember what the first was. LOL)
Hey, I’ll have you know I was a good lookin feller in my day & had my share of hotties. 🙂
Tanny’s INT yesterday was pretty bad. What kinda throw was that? pathetic. He also missed a wide open parker in the endzone 2nd down at the end of game.
Tanny won’t be the reason we win games but he’s good enough to make us a playoff contender with the right scheme and coaching. He’s as good as cousins or fitzpatrick. He needs to have a great team around him.
His arm was hit by the oncoming pass rusher on the int. He has no follow through on the throw because of that. I know it is just an excuse by a Tanny defender but it is also a fact.
They showed that after the fact. His release point was effected but none of that stuff matters. Even if your legs are being chopped down you have to make that throw. LOL
Parker wasn’t wide open that was part of the problem. Parker also gave a great effort on the ball too didn’t he? He looked like an outfielder saying oh you got it. It was a bad play.
I mentioned on that play to the endzone that he & Parker aren’t on the same page yet.
Remember Lazor installed a timing passing offense that requires the WR’s & QB to hit a spot.
Parker looks like he’s still trying to learn how to use his big frame to shield & gain inside or outside position on DB’s.
He’ll likely make great strides next season.
I was talking about the 2nd and goal at the end of game. PArker was open in the back of endzone. Tanny went somewhere else.

Yeah
But his wife is mean to Tanny…”
—–
I submit you’re reading the reactions to her bullshit way wrong. It hasn’t a damn thing to do with Tanny for most of us, it has everything to do with the fact her husband has stunk the place up this season and her sideshow is UNHEALTHY for this team. Combine those two facts with comments about beat writers fucking themselves with Magic Johnson’s dick, and fuck the Grimes and the horse they rode in on. If I knew for a fact that Tannehill was gone tomorrow, I’d feel exactly the same god damn way.
I still love this team, and while I’m tired as hell of them being a sideshow, I still happily give a giant fuck off to people who spread hate and discontent about and amongst them publicly.
I think it’s a bit judgemental of you to assume most people hear can’t separate their judgments of the Grimes’ and their judgments of Tannehill. It’s two completely different things. She says the same thing about Dallas Thomas (who is probably the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had of a Dolphin OL draftee) and I still feel the same way. This isn’t about whether she’s fairly defaming players in public, it’s about the fact she’s defaming PLAYERS IN PUBLIC.
did you forget about Jonathan martin? He’s the biggest oline disappointment recently IMO
Yeah, that’s how shitty Thomas has been…lol..I forgot about Jon Martin.
I guess I meant for me personally. I really like Thomas coming out of college and it’s probably the most wrong I’ve been about a player in a long time.
Good post.
ken,
I didn’t see the hit on tanny’s arm. Maybe that’s why I thought it was a terrible throw (the int to davis).
It happened. check YouTube for the play and they did show it after the commercial break. His arm was hit by the pass rusher and it affected the throw.
Getterdone, did you ever get passed 2nd base with that Cheerleader you dated?? LOL I think if you had you would have found a surprise not to your liking! LOL
LOL, guess I should stay off Farmers.com 😛
Nice notes about yesterday:
The loss helps us get a better draft pick, and with the amount of suckage the NFL has seen this year, it takes a pretty poor record to get into those top 6 picks.
Carolina LOST! Stanger I loved your story because I was at the brewery when I heard the news and bought everyone a round at the bar. That was an expensive celebration but hey, at least I get the beer at cost. 🙂
Parker looked great.
Landry’s catch was the top play of the day on ESPN.
Look who was scouting Paxton Lynch
http://www.hngn.com/articles/147863/20151106/nfl-draft-rumors-rams-dolphins-scouting-paxton-lynch-this-weekend.htm
Bu I guess the FO is ecstatic about Tannehill
Tannenbaum has already said he likes him a lot.
He said he likes Philbin too
Last offseason …
All FO’s scout all the top picks. It’s also a way to bargain for trade scenarios…LOL smh @ your bias.
Okay
Let’s assume the most beneficial scenario for Tanny
I thought the funniest part of my post was “I forgot what the first one was” LOL
I’m sure you guys analyzed it already, but I have two questions about the OL play yesterday….
1) How shitty and embarassing was the sack where the DT bullrushed Dallas Thomas and instantly put Tannehill on his back.
2) WTF happened on the last play of the game. How do 3 rushers get into the backfield untouched? Did the OL miss the snap count or something?
yea. the center snapped it too quickly. He forgot the snap count.
Talk about the worst timing ever for a fuckup like that. LOL…microcosm of the season I felt like. BTW, I may have won that bet last offseason, but I’m man enough to admit you were right all along!
Blown snap count by Jamil Douglas. He snapped the ball on the wrong count.
And Dallas Thomas sucks.
Douglas blew the snap count
Rookie mistake I guess

Hers a good article about different S the Dolphins can go
Excuse the Tanny blasphemy
…must have been written by Miko
Hilarious seeing you in Camp Miko.
Yeah okay
Bc any mention that we don’t blindly risk everything In hopes that Tannehill might get better is a vote for Miko
ken,
you’re right. It does look like he got hit
http://www.colts.com/videos/videos/HIGHLIGHT-Vontae-Davis-picks-off-Tannehill/168ccf2f-865c-4473-9c5a-87084e674d51
Tanny has to learn how to do a sky hook pass like Abdul Jabbar in those situations.
yea but his elbow got hit right when he threw it. you really can’t do much about that.
This oline has been so shitty for so long. I feel bad for any QB that has to play behind this POS.
There was a better view on a replay they showed after they came back from the commercial break. His arm was clearly hit and he had no follow through on the throw because of it.
Jahn,
LOL. The difference was I was betting on what Ross should do while you bet on what Ross would do. You knew Ross better than I did.
You can say whatever you want about his record, but if you question Tannehill’s toughness, then you must seriously hate him for reasons beyond football.
http://network.yardbarker.com/nfl/article_external/miami_dolphins_quarterback_ryan_tannehill_keeps_taking_lickings_keeps_on_kicking/s1_13000_20106646
He’s like Holyfield, takes a beating and keeps grinding.
Piggy:
I don’t read too much into the scouting of Paxton. You have to scout all the top prospects. As I said before it is not out of the realm of possibility that we go for a QB but I think it is unlikely and it has nothing to do with Miko Grimes.
LOL, I’ve already replied that to him.
All FO’s scout the top end of the draft where we’re at. You need to know what’s there and who besides yourself may want it for trading up or down purposes.
…and yes, we have to find QB’s to replace Mr. Clipboard Moore.
I doubt they are scouting Lynch t replace Moore.
Meant you scout the top end for trading purposes. But not to replace Moore, but we’ll need a QB later to take his spot soon.
They would be looking at Lynch a top 10 prior spect to replace Moore….
Come on seriously
I never said that, man you guys take things out of context and run wildly with scissors with it….LOL
My later round QB’s that I’d consider and think have potential are the Davie, FL. Brandon Doughty, or the kid from Arkansas Brandon Allen.
