Sean Payton for a 2nd RD pick? Mike Shanahan? Adam Gase? Tom Coughlin? Dan Campbell? Bill Belichick for Suh, Landry, Parker and Tannehill? Hue Jackson? Mike Shula? Teryl Austin? Mike Smith?
Who will be the next head Coach of the Miami Dolphins?
Out of all the options above, and there are sure to be other options in the near future, I actually have 2 favorites from that bunch.
If we’re going with the short term stopgap, and a HC who will give us respectability immediately, and as part of the package, grooms our next HC in Dan Campbell, I’m all for Tom Coughlin. Coughlin is a well respected HC and person in the NFL. Once a fierce disciplinarian type coach, being a military man, Coughlin was a no nonsense man. As HC of the NYG, he felt like he was losing his team, and changed his approach to a more friendlier relationship with his players, and the team responded and went to the Super Bowl and won. Is 70 years old too old? I say hell no! I’ve seen great managers in baseball like Jim Leyland, Jack McKeon succeed in their 70’s, and heck, Ronald Reagan was 70 when he was elected President, and he did a fantastic job running our country.
I like Dan Campbell, but I just don’t think he’s ready to run a team yet. Too many things he’s deficient in, but what a truly great guy to learn from Tom Coughlin would be. A true professional, a winner. Of course, nothing has been documented that Coughlin and or Cambell would agree to this set up, but it seems legitimate to me, and I like it.
If we’re looking for a long term (hopefully), I like Hue Jackson. (I would like Mike Shula too, but as so far, he hasn’t been mentioned as a coach we’re interested in) Jackson wasn’t given a fair shot with the Raiders, he went 8-8, and was fired. Incidentally, Hue’s OC in OAK was Al Saunders, the guy we brought in to “help” our offense after Philbin was fired. Jackson has done good things as OC for the Bengals. Dalton is playing his best football of his career this year, and most believe that is credit due to Hue Jackson. Bengals fans are actually crying for Dalton to play in the playoffs when they clearly all know Dalton is 0-4 in the playoffs.
- Friday January 8th Update! *
Yesterday, the Dolphins interviewed Bears Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase. Supposedly it was a long, thorough interview. That means this week, the Dolphins have interviewed Mike Shanahan, Mike Smith, Teryl Austin and Anthony Lynn. Dan Campbell will make his case today, and Doug Marrone and Hue Jackson will follow this weekend.

rock,
i so hear you on brady, but here is the answer to that. or what i am told on here over and over. the qb gets all the credit and all the blame. i get it makes no sense but it is true. i dont blame tanny for the teams failures just like i dont give brady credit for winning sb’s. he would not have won last years but for a stupid play call by a coach. but yet brady gets all the credit for the win.
hey look at me, i am tim, i caused a page turn. now where the fuck is my chain saw and watch the fuck out squirrels
That’s on you brosef! LOL
Rock & Tim, good posts, nice points. Now would you guys please stop making so much sense?
It’s making the Tannekill natives restless.
FFR, Belichick as much as we may not like him and his shenanigans, he’s a great coach and always has been a great coach going back to being the Giants DC under Parcells in the 80s. Oh and this little tidbit, Belichcik and Brady jump-started their dynasty in NE with a Parcells’ team. You just can’t lose this guy can ya? LOL
They are a great example of stability regardless of their shenanigans.
Did we hire a coach yet?
The little birds are saying Adam Gase.
Meh. Not my favorite choice but he is a QB guru which is the usually the death knell for that position when we get a guru.
So what does anyone here know about Adam Gase? I ask because I only know what I’ve read about him.

Here’s an interview with Adam Gase from this season http://youtu.be/c-qGDOm7qHU For those #Dolphins fans wanting to learn a little more.
They are crediting him with helping Jay Cutler cut down his ints. He was in Denver and working with Peyton Manning until Fox was fired. But working with Manning is kind of like working with another coach. Manning was more in control of that office than the OC was.
tim
you can deny it all you want. give us all your lame excuses. but every time any of us accidentally runs over a squirrel we all secretly think. ‘i bet tim is proud of me’
The Dolphins have scheduled a second interview with Bears OC Adam Gase on Saturday.
It adds to the reports that Gase is owner Stephen Ross’ top target. The Dolphins could make Gase the first coaching hire of 2016.
tim
adam gase, i think. well at least they got some one with an easy name for us to make fun of in a few years.
Well he has got that going for him.
The Miami Herald passes along “growing momentum” for Bears OC Adam Gase to become the Dolphins’ next head coach.
The Dolphins’ love for Gase is no secret after owner Stephen Ross made a “strong, potentially persuasive push” to land Gase at Thursday’s interview. “Some in the building” at Dolphins headquarters reportedly believe Gase could be hired as soon as “this weekend.

Why Ross’s guy? I don’t get it. He’s a newer type owner with somewhat limited football knowledge. Why is he picking a HC. Unless this is what King Carl & Tbomb have been whispering his his ear.
I guess the old tough HC candidates want too much power, so they’re going with a kid they can push around….maybe OD is right….lol smh
Brian That is tragic hews my friend!
I can’t even imagine what they are going through!
He’s not like Philbin. LOL
He’s the new generation folks. Whether with us or another team, he’s going to become a HC.
He looks like a hockey player or coach. LOL

It was surprising when Gase didn’t get a head coaching job during the 2015 offseason, considering the hype around the young offensive mind, following a pair of strong seasons as the offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos. He was reportedly close to getting the job with the San Francisco 49ers before Trent Baalke tried to strong-arm him into picking Jim Tomsula as defensive coordinator.
Instead, Gase went to Chicago, where he helped Jay Cutler have arguably the best season of his career. Cutler went from leading the NFL in interceptions to a career-best passer rating of 92.3, although the Bears didn’t make much improvement offensively. Still, it appears as though Gase will be able to have his pick of NFL jobs.
Coaching résumé:
Detroit Lions (quarterbacks coach): 2007
San Francisco 49ers (offensive assistant): 2008
Denver Broncos (wide receivers coach): 2009-2010
Denver Broncos (quarterbacks coach): 2011-2012
Denver Broncos (offensive coordinator): 2013-2014
Chicago Bears (offensive coordinator): 2015
What happened with Brian?
Evaluating coaches and potential HCs is not about looking at coordinator stats. Brian Billick was reaping the benefits of a very talented Vikings team back in the mid and late 90s as an OC. He becomes the HC of BAL and wins a SB with a historic defense and a pedestrian offense. LOL
Good coaches are not about stats. Just like good teachers aren’t always responsible for failing kids. You have to go deeper than that. It’s about communicating and presenting confidence stuff that makes sense, then doing it. There is no perfect result.

Dude, the pickle thing in on FFR and Ken, still don’t know why you put that on me.
Maybe I’ll just decide you’re sperm man. LOL
One of Campbell’s top assistants, offensive line coach John Benton, is interviewing for the same position in Indianapolis, according to Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez.
Benton was here under Philbin, not Campbell. Strange way to report it. LOL
Agreed. Glad he’s leaving. Not impressed with the hype he came here with.
Dolphins interim coach Dan Campbell is considered the ultimate long shot for the team’s permanent head coaching job.
But players, who have been loyal to him since he was promoted, continued their support.

GD, we lack talent at G in pass pro but our running game excelled when we used it. That’s what Benton was known for. Lazor’s play calling put his group on their heels. Why do you find fault in Tanny’s success because of that and then pull it from Benton? The pass 64/ rush 36 was ridiculous. LOL
I agree, but he’s still struggled with developing Thomas, Turner, & Douglas. Nor got anywhere with the lower tier FA’s that were brought in.
Maybe.. they’re not ready or not that good. We need a proven starting G and an upgrade over Fox. I still hold out hope that Albert and James play 12-15 games together, but I need to see it first. LOL

The Miami Herald reports “all signs point” to Bears OC Adam Gase becoming the next Dolphins head coach.
The Dolphins scheduled a second interview for Gase on Saturday, and there appears to be a realistic chance this marriage will be consummated during the meeting. Per reporter Armando Salguero, owner Stephen Ross pinpointed Gase as his “favorite” before the Dolphins’ head-coaching search began. The Dolphins would be choosing Gase over Mike Shanahan, Doug Marrone, Mike Smith, Anthony Lynn, Teryl Austin, and in-house candidate Dan Campbell.
The Miami Herald reports Bengals OC Hue Jackson is no longer expected to meet with the Dolphins.
Jackson was reported as the “clear front-runner” to become the 49ers’ head coach by the San Jose Mercury News on Friday. Jackson’s Dolphins interview was scheduled for Sunday, but the Miami Herald reports it’s been scrapped.
Not impressed at all. Ross picks a guy early because he’s the ‘hot’ name…and now we end up with him and dont even finish the interview cycle? He’s got to start wondering why SF, even with a horrible foundation, and other issues, is considered a top site and we aren’t. Really not feeling this new ‘genius’ coming in and saving the bacon(sorry Piggy).
Mike McCoy and a few others were reported as our coach a few years back. Same narrative of Ross aint letting him leave without a contract. They did this with players as well. When it’s official, I’ll welcome Adam Gase. Until then I hope we’ll continue to do due diligence.

Breaking: Adam Gase will become #Dolphins new coach http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2016/01/09/dolphins-working-out-deal-with-adam-gase/ …
The main problem with the phins is Ross and his hires. Adam gaze?
Ross needs to sell the team.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 6m6 minutes ago
Dolphins and Adam Gase making progress, slight issues remain. If they iron them out today, Gase would become Dolphins next HC, per sources.
Fuck you Ross!
Good post SB – That’s where I’m going to have to stand as well. I’ll try not to crowd you.
Rhino
No idea how we’re classified as an “adult” site, when we all behave like 8 year olds here.
Except for Herd of course, who acts like she’s 12. Girls are always more mature.
LMFAO! I needed that Mike!
Boulder
Gotta be honest, he wasn’t my choice, but I can’t say with any certainty that he’s not the right choice though. I’m not going to get all pissed off yet. I’ll wait till I have a good reason.
As long as Ross is the decision maker for this org we’re going nowhere. Let’s hire another guy that has to learn on the job. This is joe philbin all over again.
I saw gaze first hand in Denver. He’s an average OC at best. Manning was the OC Denver.
I’m so sick of this team.
So it’s still not official?
Gase was my second choice behind Jackson, but apparently Jackson is a lock for the Niners job so the Dolphins are trying to lock up Gase before someone else does. Smart move IMO. Like Mike alluded to, we have know idea how he, or any other candidate will work out. The hiring of Gase makes me think that they want to keep Tannehill and get him to the next level.Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope this is the right choice.
Brian,
So sorry about the difficult situation your family is going through. +++ vibes to you and your family
Thank you Boulder.
I read somewhere that Campbell will be retained. I wonder if they are keeping him on as an assistant HC?
Not sure, but I’m actually glad to hear that. When your All-Pro S Reshad Jones endorses Campbell, I’d like to keep him around. Smart move if it’s true. The players believe in him, and that’s something. He needs to learn quite a bit before running the entire show the right way, but maybe he’ll get that experience as Asst. HC, or whatever post they assign him with.
Hey Bri – Glad I gave you a chuckle. How are ya man?
Not great. They are taking her off the machines today, and they think she’s going to pass away after they do that. There is extensive brain damage, so ultimately it is for the best, but a tough situation to deal with. They live in Phoenix, so I haven’t even met her. We’ll probably fly out there this week or the beginning of next to help out. They have a 5 and a 2 year old, so we can spend time with them and hopefully take their minds off it for a bit. Just a really difficult thing to deal with. I can only imagine how my brother and sister in law are feeling.
Just brutal man. I remember when my wife had a miscarriage, it was devastating. It’s got be 1000X harder after having Brynn for a month. I can’t even fathom. Thank goodness they already have 2 children. Hopefully, if they do want another child, they can get busy doing that. Still, nothing can ever erase that pain, just lessen it a bit.
Campbell will be head cheerleader and his first decision will be to cut esfandia from the squad because of over exposure.
LMAO! very good!
It’s Estefania, I know that, because Wyo has plastered her all over this blog. 🙂
Well I wasn’t going to scroll back and look for spelling. Lol
So has Gase called plays before? Can he at least have that on his resume?
Yeah, he called the plays, and Peyton Manning changed them all. lol
Lol
SB – I always thought of Gloria Estefan, so that’s why I got the spelling right. It was like a mnemonic aid for me.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000619758/article/dolphins-expected-to-offer-adam-gase-coaching-job
“In Miami, his task is clear: Fix the play of Ryan Tannehill. The Dolphins passer was on the rise before a troubling season in 2015. Tannehill met with Gase during the interview process, as did defensive behemoth Ndamukong Suh.”
Brian,
Im really sorry. Glad to hear you are visiting to help him in this difficult time. You’re a good guy.
On to football, Gase just doesn’t do it for me. I know some of the reasoning is trying to ‘fix’ Tannehill but many people have mentioned he’s just one problem on this team. Im glad Campbell is staying but what is he going to learn about being a HC from this dude?
Gase is the ‘hot’ name so obviously Ross,(who knows absolutely nothing about football but wants to get his name in the papers again), likes him but why do it this way?
We look desperate not to be snake-bitten. Like we don’t have the superior options. Why couldn’t we have waited one more day for Jackson or Patricia? Told Gase, “you are our guy but we want one more day to decide”?
His positives are, “I was OC for Peyton who does his own thing anyway! I made Cutler better but not my offense!” Wasn’t he the OC though? “I’m smart just ask Fox! ” McCarthy said the same of Philbin. Young guy learning on the job is not what we needed once again.
New Age
Tough to say all that man. He was in CHI one season, and they lost Brandon Marshall to the Jets. Alshon Jeffery is good, but he’s still learning, and besides Jeffery and Forte, and 2 pretty good TE’s in Bennett and Miller, they didn’t really have anyone else to throw to. Again, on the surface of this, I’m not thrilled, but I’m not 100% against it either. I just don’t know enough about him. I think it’s normal to go with the opposite of what we had, that’s how I felt, get someone with experience, and Jackson was the guy I wanted, or Coughlin grooming Campbell. Still, if we hire Gase, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how he assembles his staff, and then see what we think.
Gase is 37, 2 years even young than Campbell & with 12 less games of head coaching experience now.
I sure hope the kid learned a lot from John Fox. It just doesn’t make sense when you already had a comparable coach in house that the players all really love. Build on That Damn It.
…and this fix Tannehill thing the media portrays is BS.
Fix the glaring holes around the team on both sides of the ball & that ‘fixes’ Tannehill….SMH!
http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2016/01/adam-gase-is-the-miami-dolphins-new-head-coach-1.html
Like any coach who comes here, Gase will go only as far as the people he surrounds himself with on staff and his reach looks pretty short. He still hasn’t been hired yet.
Chris Perkins ✔ @chrisperk
Adam Gase deal done. Presser this afternoon to announce him as head coach. #Dolphins
….and yes, the staff thing. How could 37yo Gase have any more top connections than Campbell?
It just doesn’t seem a well thought out coaching search to me, like it was being portrayed as such…..to MAKE SURE we get the right guy….smh.
Why not also interview Mike Shula as I’ve mentioned many times. He’s 50 & has done a ton more in the NFL than Adam Gase!!!!
GDP
Maybe “fixing” means making Tannehill a great QB, and not just a good one. That’s fine with me. Of course we need to fix the O-line and the play calling, and that will help plenty, but some if it is still on Tanny
Mike E,
Definitely, at this point, we can do no more. I still hate that we aren’t even going to interview Jackson, Patricia, etc. Didn’t they say, “fully explore all options?” It just looks like the desperate buffoonery that happened with Harbaugh. Gase wasn’t so in demand last year to even get a job. I’m sure he would have waited a day.
It’s tough to say it but it’s still the truth. Peyton ran his offense just like McCarthy ran his. The Bears only averaged 1 point better a game than us. What connections does this youngster have at this point? Who is going to actually fix the horrible defense?
I guess we can all wait to see if the QB can carry a team…wait we already have seen with Rodgers, Brady, Cutler, ect that they cant.
I don’t get the whole Ross wanted this guy before the season ended and any semblance of a coaching list could be compiled???
Why tell the fans that you’ve assembled a comprehensive team with Tbomb as the point man to thoroughly search through upcoming coaching candidates when Rossy was like a kid at Xmas for Michigan boy Gase???
New Age
Supposedly the Eagles really wanted Gase. We’ll probably never know how much, or if they really were as interested as they thought they were, but if we wanted Gase, it seemed as if we needed to move quickly, or possibly lose him. I know you’re disappointed, and like I said, he wasn’t my choice either, but I’m not going to get bent out of shape until I have a real good reason to.
Mike, that’s always the SOS!!! We got to lock this guy up now, cause someone else may want to interview him….LOL
So what, ‘that guy’ that I’d want would have to be someone that wanted us as much as we wanted him, or was willing to wait on his decision until we got to interview more candidates. Most employers/corporations don’t hire the 1st kid that walks thru the door….smh!

Armando Salguero @ArmandoSalguero
Stephen Ross called interim coach Dan Campbell this morning and told him Adam Gase is the new Dolphins HC. Ross loves Campbell.
No he doesn’t!!! If he loved Campbell he would have retained him as HC & saw to it that the search would now be for the best staff they could all come up with. This is freakin comical.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000619758/article/dolphins-hire-adam-gase-as-coach-sign-5year-deal
5 yrs, oh boy. By then when he’s fired there’ll be some pimply faced flavor of the week coordinator that will be hired to replace him. Rinse & Repeat as perennial bottom feeders in the division.
Gase VS. Belicheat, Rexy Ryan, Todd Bowles…..UGH!
Mike E,
And supposedly Jon Gruden is interested in Philly as well. Don’t we have something that would make a coach actually choose us over everyone else though? Reactionary behavior rarely benefits people. I can see not interviewing Shula because of the wait he was enforcing himself. I can’t see not checking out all the options available.
Im used to failure and Im sure he wont last the entire 5 years. Still younger than Ross so I can definitely wait for possible improvement for our team. Massively disappointing because he was at the bottom of my list. Sitting there with hiring Tomsula, Scwartz, and Mel Kiper. 😉
LOL – OK brother. I can’t convince you, not even going to try any further. Just hoping for the best myself. 🙂
GDP
If you had a business, and you interviewed a guy/girl that you really wanted to hire, and knew that person was very qualified, and likely to be hired very soon somewhere, you would have to make that decision of letting them go, or if you were so impressed, giving them an offer. The latter happened here in MIA.
I’d like to have seen the wondrous ‘Gase’ in Ross’s eyes as he stared lovingly at Adam while shoving a contract with lots of 0’s in front of him….SMH
GDP – So it was Mancampbell or nothing for you? You had to know that was very unlikely, no?
Not at all. You read it wrong. I say if you’re gonna go this inexperienced route, why not stay with Campbell.
Otherwise I’d rather have a guy like Mike Smith, Shanahan, Coughlin etc etc.
Look at the teams that stayed with their experienced guys even through some turbulent times.
Sean Payton & Chuck Pagano, etc.
Too much over emotion for a Saturday morning on the hiring of a football coach most people know nothing about.
Agree 100%. I’m neither excited nor disappointed, mostly just uninformed.
Thank you New Age.
As far as the Gase hiring goes, they clearly wanted Gase. Jackson is reportedly a done deal in SF, and were any of the NE assistants even granted permission to interview? I hadn’t heard either way. Gase was one of their top candidates. He was a hot commodity, so If they push him off a few more days he may have just said “F U, if you don’t want me that bad I’ll go somewhere else.”
Oh well. Welcome to Meeame HC Gase.
Go Team!
GDP
Apparently they liked what Gase brings philosophically and cerebrally as far his plan to run this team better than Campbell’s soup. lol
SB7,
Thank you for the kind words earlier.
No problem Brian. I got a 9 mo at home. Making that decision is not something I’d want to be faced with.
I have the same mindset as Mike; i’m sort of unemotional about this. There is a degree of excitement because Gase brings new hope, but we won’t know if he is the correct hire until the games start, and likely not for a few years after that.
Hell why not hire Jim Bob Cooter as HC. He was the hotter OC in that NFC North division….lol
In a miniskirt? Hotter how?
Easy there Mr. Hand, wrong kind of Cooter.
Im not giving the guy a chance and I wasnt there so ill move on from here. I hope he knows people but Tannehill does have his QB whisperer now. Tanny looked good the last game too so hopefully we move forward instead of back. Brady is in his twilight so not all bad news.
Lost in this head coaching news is the fact that Vance Joseph, DB coach for the Bengals is going to be our new DC. Let’s hope that he works out better than their last DB coach that we hired as our DC.
OMG, see….LOL. I was just joking at the post directly below….OMG….smh
Lol! Have at it today brother!
Is DB short for defensive back, or douchebag?
LMAO!
Brian, Next in the coming days we get to bitch about the WTF & who?, hires for coordinators…..lol
Gdp I would have rather have Campbell over gaze as well. At least we know what we’re getting with Campbell.
Ross won’t ever get us to the playoffs with these decisions. I wish he would just sell the team.
Brian, sorry that the situation with your niece is a dire one. Wishing your brother and his wife the strength to get through this, and I’m sure the support you and others with give them will help them get through this saddest of times.
Thank you Tim.
Yes, prayers still with you guys. It saddens us all.
Alex Marvez @alexmarvez
Am told hiring of @Bengals DBs coach Vance Joseph as new @MiamiDolphins DC is “done deal.” Official once CIN done in playoffs @NFLonFOX
Looking bad already though…
Philbin part 2. Wasn’t coyle cinci db coach?
Yep. Farming out that talent…
I bet gaze is the cheapest of all the coaches we interviewed and will let tannebaym make all the picks. There is a reason Ross has never been to the playoffs and never will.
He sucks at picking people to run his team. Sell the team Ross
Like I said whoever the HC was going to be, the results on the field is all that matters. We already knew Gase was the front runner and I’m sure they were researching his background weeks ago. Then it was up to him to impress our FO and obviously he did.
Look at it this way, we got the guy we wanted, we didn’t settle for scraps. They targeted this guy and landed him. Another good way to look at it is Grier and Gase are both young but have experience in their fields. Now these two get to build this team together and let’s hope they get it done.
By the way it’s not about fixing Tannehill, it’s about fixing the team. I’m sure Tannehill was one of the reasons Gase came here though.
Vance Joseph’s???
Apparently Gase didn’t learn anything seeing Denver go with experience @ DC Wade Phillips. or Vic Fangio with his Bears, or George Edwards in Minny, Dom PApers in GB. All previously experienced DC’s from other teams assembled together in his north division!!! smh
It’s same shit as philbin.
The main plus for Joseph is that he coached at SF where a real defense was there for a while. He also coached under Harbaugh so we got one of Harbaugh’s guys in a way? Lol, trying here.
Already shitting on the guy before he’s done a thing with the team? SMH
How exactly is he like Philbin? LOL
New Age, Vance Johnson didn’t coach under Jim Harbaugh in SF, he was there prior and went to the Texans when Harbaugh came in.
He’s such a nobody Tim can’t even get his name right…LMAO!
Boulder, you’re right. I said it a couple days ago when I read that one of the reasons Gase was hot, was he let it be known to several NFL execs that he just wanted to “coach”. He wasn’t into a power trip or control over the roster etc.
So this had Ross & Tbomb giggling like lil school girls so that they can still play dress up as coaches & personnel men themselves….Weeeee.
They already promoted a young GM (most experienced HC’s likely frowned on that too)!
Of course Gase was their guy! Ross probably already has his dorm room ready fully equipped with a full size microwave & a PS4.
So Gase is Phibiln and Vance Johnson is Coyle, Gee how convenient. LOL
He’s such a nobody Tim still can’t even get his name right…LMAO! 😀
LOL, there was a former player Vance Johnson, he was a WR for the Broncos. Hey it was an honest mistake.
I also admit I don’t know a lot about Gase or the new young coaches, but I already said results is all I care about. I look at Gase more like a young Sean Payton. Pretty much the same type of road to HC. Payton was 42 when he became HC of the Saints.
Arghhhhhhh
Arghhhhhh
Squeal

Arghhhhhhh
I’m so mad about Gase

Actually I don’t give a shit
I feel like there are no sure things
I would have preferred some HC experience
But I don’t really know if that makes a difference
The fact is none of really know what works or not
We know what hasnt worked
But I’m a little hesitant to say this is more of the same
So I’m just going to judge when the games start
Rather than get revved up about this
Tim, it’s Vance Joseph.
I know, see my reply above. It was an honest mistake.
Wait till we see Gase also bring his budby QB coach Dowell Loggains in as our new OC…..Weeeee.
He split his head open on the diving board trying out for the olympics….lol
I’m still on the wait on see approach, but I’m leary of the DC hire.

Wiki has it right, you got it wrong. LOL
Do not tell a born squealer how many squeals it takes!
Would you tell Picasso he needs another stroke of the brush?
I am an artist!!!😜
I am a Dolphins fan. Telling others what is wrong is what I do! 🙂
If elway thought he was so great why didn’t he hire him as coach last year?
Maybe Gase was loyal to Fox.
So Gase is our guy. Take everything I know about Gase along with an orange and you have…an orange.
I was really hoping we’d go with an experienced guy. We haven’t had a lot of luck taking this route. I do find it pretty amusing that our DC is going to be another DB coach from cincy. Maybe we can get Pat Shurmer to be our OC!
Oh well, let the cycle begin again. By August we’ll have convinced ourselves we’ve put together a really good team with the best (fill in the blank) in the league. Then the season will get underway, and we’ll realize we “just got some regular old crackers”.
I tend to like the Vance Johnson hiring
I remember him as a DB
Just me?
He’s been around the NFL for a while
He was with the bengals in 2015
But that was his only year there
I tend to think there is a shot we switch to a 3-4 under Johnson
I think he has a background with Wade Phillips
I hope we stay a 4-3 though
Just my pig preference
Not sure, the Bengals run a 4-3.
sb7, why, you gonna change you outdated one? 😉
My avi is a winner. Winning is timeless.
True, but mine was too. He just didn’t get a proper chance to show it.
I wonder if Gase will call the plays? Let’s hope we run an offense that makes sense.
I beleive Gase will set the Pace😋
It won’t be heavy running. i bet the offense will be similar to what we have now. Mostly shotgun. That’s what manning liked. Except tanny is not manning. Far from it.
But he is probably better than cutler
Oh….
Look I just upset Jay Cutler

Probably, but there is a way to call plays and a way not too. We saw that with Lazor. Let’s hope Gase’s offense is better. Please! LOL
You just got GASED!!!!
What do you guys think?
To close to farting reference?
Since Miami can’t make the playoffs as a team. Ross wanted to make the 1st hire today & have his Dolphins mentioned all playoff weekend….LMAO & SMH!
The Dolphins are going to GASE all over your face!!!
Better?
LOL
When was the last time we hired a tried and true, experienced NFL HC? JJ?
In Gase you missed it, never.
Wanstedt?
Bill Parcells
I forgot Wanny coached the Bears. So it’s only been a decade we’ve been trying the new, up and comer approach.
Gase is going to get us in 1st Place
I guess Parcells want a coach
So Boulder was right
It was wanny
Who I fucking hated
You’re not a winner until you win. 12 games is plenty to show something.
