Steve,
I hope that you didn’t bet the bank on Golden State last night…
No, that’s why I don’t bet. the fix was certainly in last night. They don’t even try to hide it. Cleveland’s only chance was to get Curry in foul trouble, and mysteriously that’s what happened.

Good read go Maxwell go DOLPHINS!
Son.
The Phindog family is staying at the beach.. Does that at least make us semi cool ?
Ahhh
nothing like a day by the pool soaking up the sun
I was telling Toda earlier that it’s just as easy to pee in the ocean as it is to pee in the pool. 😎
Toba ^^^^ Toda is my pet name for him.
Dog, you’re always cool man. You’re a guitar player in Cali none of us can top that for cool.
Well being a guitar player and being good at it are two different things.. 🎶🎼🎸👌
FYI.. We are landing Thurs and leaving Tues.. We just might cruise over and pee in your pool 😊
..and please leave the LaQuinta a nice yard cigar
I’m sure we’ll be staying at the beach too. I want to try and make a vacation out of it, so it’s gotta be by the beach.
Seems like everyone is pretty serious about training during the next 6 weeks, unlike the previous country club atmosphere.
That’s what you get when the coach relates to the players and the players buy in.
Dear we say that these Fins may have a little bit of swag?
It will be evident quickly when camp opens.
Dog, we’re driving down on Friday so we’ll be looking to hang out with you guys beach side on Saturday. We go home on Monday.
Cool.. You got my number.. We will be looking forward to seeing you at the beach.. Call me when you get to Hollywood Beach and we will meet up with you. Please don’t wear your black socks at the beach.. 😎
Black socks and sandals what’s the problem?
Tim,
I think Tannehill has been fine in the INT dept so far. He hasn’t thrown a lot. It’s not been a problem, and I don’t recall anybody really ever complaining about it much. Possibly because he doesn’t take risks and typically throws pretty high percentage passes. He doesn’t try to squeeze the ball into tight places or throw it up for grabs very often. My thought is that if he’s going to be put in a position to make more reads and change plays and take more risks in the passing game, it will lead to more INTs. I don’t think he’s great at reading defenses and taking/making the risky throws that might lead to big plays but also might lead to INTs. I also don’t think he has very good ball placement beyond, say, 10 yards or so. So, if he is going to be pushing the ball down the field more, the possibility for INTs increases on those longer throws. He doesn’t even really just throw it up all that well. Sure, it’s happened a time or two but not very often. He under or over throws a lot of those types of throws…again…more INT chances.
***
So, I never said his INT numbers were an issue…just that I could see them increasing if we he is put in that position. It’s partly how I think they’ll run the offense and part what Tannehill struggles with in certain areas. Actually, if his INTs went up 5…but his TDs went up 8 or 9….I’d be just fine with that.
Fair enough. We shall see.
How could we have any idea as to whether Tannehill at this point knows how to read a defense well? Maybe he’ll be better than we expect. I think he knows what division we’re in now, so you never know
I think the QB whisperer will have Tannehill prepared better than he’s ever been prepared, so I expect that Tannehill be a much improved QB, especially from last year.
MikeE,
I’ve watched Tanny not even look at, let alone throw to, open receivers plenty of times that makes me think he doesn’t read defenses well. Even if he was “handcuffed” to a certain degree, he still had to read defenses. He also seemed to struggle identifying where pressure was coming and adjusting his protection pre-snap. I know everyone wants to blame Philbin for everything now, but those are basic QB things that he would need to do even if he was constrained.
The pressure issue I’ve seen, so I agree with that, but it’s hard to say on reading a D, because we don’t know what they were trying to do and when the receiver came open. The guy he’s looking at may have single coverage and expected to come open. All QBs miss open receivers. With that said I’ve heard the experts say he has issues too, reading a D.
The SD game I
The SD game I went to, I was screaming at him to hit certain open receivers. It’s hard to see it on TV. He was horrible that game in the first half reading the D.
Randy
You never know how he might handle things knowing his coach has put his confidence in him to run the show. It might just be the kick in the pants the kid needs.
I agree, and I expect it.
I survived a night in new orleans, 2 plane flights, a panic attack in newark, but I made it to manhattan. Chilling in Central Park happier than a pig in lubriderm.
After a good night in NO you shouldn’t even remember the flights! 😉
I’d rather forget New Orleans, even if I was only there to sleep a few hours.
Mike, when I was coaching basketball I told the best 3 players they were going to coach the last game, 6th graders. All 3 responded with their best games, they didn’t do any coaching, but felt like they could do what they wanted, which was what I was trying to get out of them. I think RT will respond the same way with more control.
I wonder, if we’ll be using our large CBs to Cover Gronk and Bennett on 3rd downs and other downs when they’re lined up as WRs.
Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there

Happy Father’s Day!
Damn Steve, we agree on sumthin’! Hallelujah! 🙂
I knew there was some logic in there somewhere😂
It was a must to change out our puny CBs with larger ones, but we may see other benefits, such as run support, and covering TEs.
True but McCain, Ifo and Patmon give us some options inside as those smaller quick-twitch corners as well. So we have a balance of both types. I agree we may see the bigger corners cover TEs like Gronk at times. Why not?
We’ve talked about not throwing so many passes to Landry, and getting others involved more, while I agree with that, I’d like to add, we shouldn’t throw so many 2 yard passes to him. Dude balls every time he catches the ball, so we still need to get it to him a lot, but farther down the field.
Totally agreed. He can run 10+ yard routes and it offers more opportunities for bigger plays. Opposing defenses knew we loved the bubble screen and would crowd it for little gain. I always felt just run it instead.
I wouldn’t use Landry on too many deep balls
But he’s more versatile than people give him credit for
I would like to see him in the receiving end of more 10-20 yard stuff
Landry after the catch is really fun to watch
So I have selfish reasons for wanting this 😜
That’s what I’m saying. He only averaged 10.9 YPC but think about how many of those were in the 2-6 yard range. He had more chunk yardage plays than people think. He can run 10+ yard routes and get open and he has YAC ability. He’s not a burner we all know that, but he’ll slip by someone from time to time. Get him in the open field more instead of always having him fight traffic in the box.
Heard from both of my daughters today. What a swell, swell, feeling! –After working 20 straight days, it’s nice to have a weekend off!! Hats off to all the dads out there, especially to the ones who HAVE TO WORK TODAY!! – – – Especially to those who are serving their country!!
————-
MEMO TO MIKE E. IF YOU”RE OUT THERE; According to ESPN, if the baseball playoffs started today, the Marlins would be at the Mets in the NL Wild Card game. –Frankly, when Dee Gordon was suspended, I thought the Marlins season was shot. Still think the fish are a long shot for the playoffs, but THEY DO HAVE A SHOT!!
————
TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE NOT on good terms with your Dad: today is the perfect day to reach out to pops (even if you think he’s FAR from perfect). Life is short. NEXT FATHER’S DAY you may not have a chance to reach out to him.
Good post about Dads!
The Mets aren’t very good right now.
Thanks, Tim. Hope you have a nice Dad’s day.
I know you were adopted, and my father was out of my life at 3 years old because he wasn’t responsible. My step-dad became a part of my life at 10 years old. I’m also a step-dad helping raise a daughter since she was 8 years of age so I know what’s it’s like to love and be loved by someone other than biological. In the big scheme of things, it doesn’t really matter. Love is what is important.
Happy Dads Day OD — is there a great-grandfather’s Day? 🙂
SHOULD BE ONE, Young Stanger! And, in about 9-10 years, I’ll be a Great, Great Grand Dad if history repeats itself in our family. SHEESH!!
———
AND, YES, TIM, love is THE essential ingredient in being a Dad.
🙂
WELL, Mike E., the Mets are losing 6-0 to the Braves in the 9th while the Marlins lead the Rockies 3-0 in the bottom of the 8th.. IF these scores hold, the NL wild card game would, theoretically, move to Marlins Park now that Miami’s in 2nd place. –WE’LL SEE how good these Marlins are when they entertain the Cubbies for a 4-game series beginning Thursday. LOOKS LIKE all 4 games may be sellouts, a rarity for the Miami franchise.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads here. I hope that you had a great day!

Tim,
Great post brother.
🙂
OD,
I guess it’s fortunate that the MLB playoffs don’t start on June 19…
Go Warriors!!!
They should win easy, no one on Cleveland can make a shot.
The NBA is as bad as the NFL, they could take away the controversy on 3 PT shots by making no continuation, and just give 3 foul shots when the foul occurred on the actual shot, and not all this crazy shit they allow when someone reaches in.
😦
Sorry Warrior fans
I wanted Cleveland to win, but I’m almost embarrassed for what happened this series. The NBA made a mockery of things, worst sporting event fix I think I’ve ever seen. Game 7 was a no one gets a large lead agenda, after the first 6 were blowouts. Every time one team took a lead close to 10 the other team got the calls. With the capper being the Dramond Green sweeper with his arms getting LeBron’s reach caught in a foul that was rewarded with 3 free throws, I thought they said you don’t get 3 free throws on that move this year, only when in the act of shooting.
Ok, not the worst fix, I’ve seen a few hundred cheats games that were worse, but a close 2nd (hundred).
Uhg 6 weeks where if we hear any news about any of our players then it will be bad news! Stay out of the news DOLPHINS players! Pouncey, celebrate your birthday at home!

I agree…it’s like a boxer setting up his big punches behind the jab…
Got to feed Landry the ball on his typical routes but set him up for the deep ball by showing his cover guy square in routes then a misdirection
Exactly!
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000670435/article/former-no-1-pick-jake-long-im-finally-healthy
I didn’t post because I’m interested in him for Miami, but I’m curious to see if he can ever be near the player he once was here in MIA early in his career.
He’s definitely better than Sam Young and a couple other rostered OL the Fins have in camp but at this stage, do the Dolphins need him? Probably not. It would be a nice story but I would like to stay the course of purging all Parcells era players 🙂
That’s if he can stay healthy Al, something he hasn’t done in forever.
I wanted the Warriors to win to complete the best season stuff but they just couldn’t close in the final 3 minutes. Both teams were dropping the ball so to speak between 3 minutes to go and 1 minute to go before Irving threw down the dagger. Hats off to the Cavs. I’m one of the few that could appreciate what LeBron was able to accomplish for a city void of anything championship at the pro level. Although to me he would not have won without Irving, it’s a team sport and his volume of work kept the opportunity there for Irving to close the door.
I like both teams, but wanted the Cavs to win this year. It’s a shame to the league the way this series went down. I think MJ put in the word to get a Cavs win😄
OD
The Mets are falling on hard times man, they just can’t hit consistently. It’s going to be interesting to see how they approach it, if they make a big play Yulieski Gourriel, or Jose Reyes, or both. As currently constituted, I’m not sure if they can qualify for a wild card. Good for the Marlins though to play well enough to pass them up. They definitely have some solid young talent.
We’ll bring Reyes here and he’ll be hurt within a week or two.
Small risk salary wise Tim, and I’m so tired of watching the station to station base running of the Mets. I’d bat Reyes leadoff, and move Granderson back in the lineup, where his HR’s won’t be solo HR’s. It will give the lineup some more length, and also give us some base running savvy, some stolen bases, or at the very least, the threat of a stolen base. That’s non existent right now.
I understand it, but I could see him getting hurt just like everyone else though. 😦
The Mets hitting is basically all feast or famine as it seems they do well in the HR department but nothing in between.
The Mets should go after someone like Jon Jay…shouldn’t cost them much.
That’s exactly what it is. They’re also down a few guys in the lineup.
Al
Mets need a guy who can play 3B. The outfield is a little crowded as it is, with Granderson, Cespedes, Conforto, De Aza, Lagares.
Conforto is hitting .167 over the last 30 days…He should be sent back to the minors.
De Aza is at .152 over the last 30 days and is not as good as Jay at getting on base.
He’s been battling a wrist injury.
Jose Reyes should be fine…the injury thing is a bit overstated. If they manage his playing time (make sure he’s got his hammies fresh) he should stay relatively injury free.
Running backs (3): Jay Ajayi, Kenyan Drake, Damien Williams
This group is inexperienced and not very deep. There is a lot of pressure on Ajayi to shoulder the load.
————
I see Walker hasn’t been paying attention, Gase said he wants 3 down backs. Damien is not that.
HAHAHAHAHA @ “there is a lot of pressure on Ajayi to shoulder the load”.
Seriously, does he think Ajayi is thinking about this? Does Walker not remember that Ajayai was rated a top 50 type player without the knee injury risk calculated into his stock analysis? The injury has not flared up and is not expected to in 2016 (the risk was an arthritic one not a knee going out at any moment)
I’m not really sure who wins that last spot, but I agree, and kind of hope it’s not Williams.
2 agreements in 2 days, I see you’re starting to conform nicely 😉
Mike E,
Reyes has gotten to 130 games every year since 2010 except for 2013 and um last year when it was only 110 between two different teams.
I’m not so worried about Reyes’ health, that was Tim. He’s just got that doom and gloom Mets attitude right now, because no one can seem to stay healthy on the Mets lately.
Bingo!
Speaking of Conforto, his wrist has been ailing him, and I think that’s a big part of his hitting issues. Can’t well when your wrists hurt, considering a lot of hitting a baseball is with with your wrists.
I’m pretty confident Ajayi can be a #1 back. This experience thing is kind of funny. RB has always been a position that rookies step right into. Ajayi is a 2nd year back, Williams a 3rd, Pead a 5th and DT3 a 6th. Then Drake a rookie. So it’s not like we don’t have options.
Agree. To me the whole RB question mark by media ppl shows ignorance on their part regarding his medical condition (and how they base his talent level on where he was drafted instead of what the scouting report showed of him as a player which showed up on his limited NFL reps last year).
Agreed. He has some good tape from last year as well that shows good potential.
His wrist is not so conforto
Can’t wait to see Xavien Howard bust up running backs down in the box 🙂
Gase on Jakeem Grant — not often you hear about a coach trying to get a wideout to slow down.
—————————–
“He’s so fast that he’s kind of got to learn to play at that speed, be able to cut, stop. … You’ll see him slipping every once in a while and that’s when he’s going too fast. So if we can just get him under control as far as how he understands that you pulling back a little bit is still faster than everybody else. Once he realizes that, he’s going to really make strides there and be able to really have a great route tree.”
Saw this on Ben Volin’s twitter feed LOL
Stanger,
Yep, sounds like Grant will be that annoying guy us Fins fans have hated to see on the opposing team -> Wayne Chrebet, Wes Welker, etc. I’ll be happy to see us annoy the Bills, Jets, and Pats 🙂
He’s just one of the reasons I am looking forward to see what Gase does with this offense. Lots of different toys with different skills for him to play with…..and seems he chose to have it that way.
An offensive minded coach always wants multiple playmakers to work with.
Sure they do, but not many of them would be willing to take a 5’8″ receiver either. My guess is that took him off most boards right there.
Greetings from the beach. Or as some of you call it, the shore. Today is ‘The Longest Day’ which is a day in the Alzheimer’s community to do whatever you want, all day, to show support for the cause. So my sister had the idea we go to the beach to honor our Dad. He really wasn’t a ‘beach’ kind of guy but every year he drove about 12 hours each way taking us to the beach. Long before video games and DVDs made the trip easier for parents with two excited and sometimes cranky little girls in the backseat. I’m sure it was the longest day for him no matter when we went. What a guy! Miss him every day.
Are we there yet?
Enjoy the beach! (and the summer solstice)
Which beach are you enjoying btw?
God bless him…..my Mom too.
Enjoy! Memories are good.
Stanger, Grant is more like 5-6. LOL
I’m not sure height is that big of a deal, it’s whether his frame can take the hits. He is about 165-170 and players have played at that weight before. DeSean Jackson was drafted at 165, he’s 175 now but he’s 5-10. Grant is built more compact that Jackson.
These smaller quick-twitch guys with exceptional speed survive on not being easy targets to hone in on. If he was a RB it would be one thing, as a return man and WR/scatback he’s not going to get enough touches to get pounded on regular basis so he should be okay. We’ll see in TC if he can matchup and then again in the PS if he looks the part and not overwhelmed at the next level. Really rooting for him to make the team, he could be really exciting to watch and hopefully he’ll be an explosive threat that leads to more scoring. 🙂
He’ll be as good as they let him be, if they don’t use him properly he’ll be a bust, but Gase seems to know exactly what to do with him.
I’m sure they drafted him with a vision for him. Every pick seemed to be that way, not just picking guys in some order.
Ajayi dropped a few passes in OTAs, big deal, he caught a lot in college and last year saw limited time but had 7 catches on 11 targets for a 12.9 YPCA (very high for a RB) and 5 1st downs so he was productive. I’m really not worried about him as a receiver.
http://www.thephinsider.com/2016/6/20/11973634/the-splash-zone-6-20-16-jay-ajayi-struggling-catching-passes-adam-gase-byron-maxwell
Barry Jackson is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, it’s like trying to dance with style before you have the moves down. Miller sucked coming out of UM catching passes, and he turned it around, Ajayi is a good pass catcher, better than Miller was in 2015. No issue, carry on. A beat writer, so to a national writer it must be so.
Al, I can’t wait to see the new schemes and the competition at corner in press coverage.
VJ said he believes in pass rush and outside coverage is the key to playing good defense. So we add a bunch of DL in FA, trade for a physical press corner in Maxwell, draft one in the 2nd rd in Howard and already had another one in Lippett. Looks like a team on the same page. 🙂
For a change…We already knew the last few were clueless, and every time something is written about the current crew, we find out how much.
Tim,
Agreed. I saw that article that said VJ got rid of whatever complex 2 gap system Coyle used for his DL.
It’s funny, when Suh was asked by the ignorant media “how do you feel about the ‘wide 9’ defense and is that what you’re more accustomed to?” He replied: (paraphrasing) “well that’s about the DEs, I’m an interior D-lineman so I don’t concern myself with such things.” LOL
Tim,
It also seems like Abdul-Quddus will be an upgrade over the previous 2 year options at the other S position not occupied by Jones. Exciting times. We are just some LB performing better than expected to get to being a nasty D again.
With Abdul-Quddus they saw a player who progressed when given the opportunity last year in DET and never looked back. So they signed a player they feel the arrow is pointing up with. He’ll be 27 in August and he’s admitted it took him awhile to adjust to the next level being from Fordham. But his pro day was as good athletically as any other safety you’d want to see. He just needed some polishing on his game.
http://blogs.nfl.com/2011/03/08/abdul-el-quddus-impresses-scouts-at-fordham-pro-day/
As for the LBs, I’ll go with Alonso and Hewitt taking it to another level. 🙂
And a healthy Jenkins who is in a contract year and wants to prove he is a good LB and last year was an aberration due to injury (high ankle and foot injury).
Our D was at its best the last 2 years ago when, that other S from Detroit was in the game, he just couldn’t stay on the field.
Delmas
Tim,
I’m hoping Hull surprises…he was a good player at Penn State but suffered bad injuries….came to Miami off one of them that caused him to go undrafted. He eventually was cut but was signed back onto the roster later in the season. Perhaps there will be some upside there with him having a year to train fully.
I’ve mentioned him as a sleeper a few times though I still feel he needs to make the team on STs first and then show he’s one of the best depth options as a reserve LB. He’ll compete with Misi, Hewitt, Vigil, Paysinger, Johnson and this year’s class of UDFA LBs (lol) in Blount, Burgess and Gray.
We still have 3 of the 4 UDFA rookie LBS from last year on the team, could be why they didn’t draft one.
Hewitt looks like he’s quasi starter ready based on how he played last year and appears the most ready of the bunch. Vigil had mixed results when he was on the field but he showed some progress. I think he is on the way up.
I guess this is just another reason why people hate Lebron
Take a look at the hat logo …
What is the logo on the hat?
It’s the initials for I’m great. LOL
Is it just me or did it seem that this spring practice season was, I don’t know, “quieter” than usual or something? I did not see as much twitter noise, nor as many blow by blow reports from the beat guys, nor any real controversies or catastrophes at all.
Did i miss reading that stuff or was the news flow somewhat “managed” this year? Were fewer practices open to the public? and fewer open to the media?
Maybe I am just numb or jaded in spite of my optimism. Maybe I just need to see some game action. Anybody else feel a dearth of hard news coming out of Davie?
You’re thinking of training camp.
SoCal in tripple digits.. Power flexes everywhere and fires popping up all over the place.. Good thing we are in a drought 💩
115 here, with 4% humidity.
I was there last week Dog, it was in the 60s.
Brutal… Vegas gets way hotter than here for the most part… Today and yesterday it was the other way around.
Whoa! That’s extreme. Stay safe, brother.
It’s moving east so you guys need to get ready..
115 is pretty extreme. 98-104 I’ve experienced and it’s not fun, usually really humid. Ugh!
115 here is pretty hot, if you’re outside for a while, but if you have a pool… 😛
Dog I wouldn’t come though Texas!
LOL..
HERDFAN; Hope you had a terrific time at the beach. Bringing back pleasant memories is one of my fav past times. While some on this board criticize the concept as “living in the past,” I prefer to think of it as “we were blessed with some truly glorious times during our lives so why not focus just a bit on the great times WE DID HAVE?” Most of us had parents who went WAY out of their way to provide fun, fellowship and good times, so why not celebrate them? –I’m betting you’ll have a more positive outlook on life when you get back from the beach, as you should!!
——————–
AND SPEAKING OF “A more positive outlook on life,” this morning I walked our 3 dogs almost a mile as I enjoyed the cool breezes and upper 60’s temps of our neighborhood. Plenty of healthy trees loaded with chirping birds of many varieties. By the time we got back, my wife had breakfast ready for all 4 of us! And she had that priceless smile on her face, too! Today, in a few minutes, I’ll leave for another challenging day at the job I always wanted while my wife donates her time to a local cancer hospital in Tampa. When I was toiling away two decades ago in god foresaken central Ohio, I often dreamed of returning to my beloved Florida where shoveling snow is replaced by beaches with sunny faces everywhere. And now, 8 years after my return, I head out to another day in Paradise. Life is good!
PS: Tonight is the FINAL EPISODE of “Person of Interest,” one of the real trail blazing programs in television history. Me and momma will be “GLUED TO THE TUBE!”
I was in Vegas in the summer of ’93, and it was 110-115. Dry heat though, felt like 70 degrees.
I was also in Israel in the summer of ’81, and it was 120 degrees when we walked up Masada. That was the hottest natural environment I’ve experienced.
When it gets over 110, a slight breeze is nice, but when it blows harder it’s just nasty, like sticking your head in an oven with the blower on.
Steve
Do you stick your head in the oven often? 😉
I don’t have to I just walk outside, when I want that sensation😉
Well, I’m going to Vegas in 2 days and i believe the forecast for day time highs are between 109-113 :/.
A friend of mine that works in the valley in LA says its been around 109 there the last day or so.
Growing up in Florida, I’m pretty familiar with disgusting heat but the desert conditions are definitely different than humidity laden heat.
I guess you can say that the dry heat ‘feels’ better than humidity but at the end of the day, its like comparing the difference between sitting in a sauna or sticking your head in an oven.
Both can be uncomfortable but I guess you don’t soak your clothes as much in dry heat.

My father started his career in the mid 70s working for a multi-national architectural-engineering firm as a structural engineer here in Miami. At the time there was alot of work in Saudi Arabia for US companies and he was sent to Riyadh several times by his employer to work on some projects out there.
He said that the first time he took a cab from the hotel to where he was working at, that the cab driver did not have the AC on. He said it felt very uncomfortable (he’s in a biz suit at the time mind you) and he decided to lower the window to get a fresh breeze. He said the next you know, it felt like he had his head in a muffler; that the winds were blowing in and it was 2x worse LOL.
He said the driver started yelling in Arabic and he quickly shut the window for the rest of the ride
Told me that it was no joke dealing with that dry heat coming from the dessert; felt disgusting.
Likely cussing in Arabic. lol
lol, for sure.
Tim,
LOL at your reply regarding Suh’s response to silly media question.
Imagine if Jim Mora were head coaching today in a Fins shirt.
Omar and company would get ripped apart.
OD,
Nice to hear from ya; can’t wait for the fest or one of these other games where I can see your “Fins Win” sign again.
Btw, did you catch the Marlins game last night? They lost 5-3 but all runs in the game were solo shots from both teams. Very strange.
Set a MLB record, 8 solo HR’s
For the West Coast ppl in here, is there any planning going on as to a gather for the Rams game?
It will probably be a bit harder than usual to score seats considering it’s the Rams first season back in LA but I want to go out there and see that game. My brother and his friends who live out there (and are from Miami) will be going.
The SD game is also an option; probably more feasibl (If I’m really fortunate; i’ll perhaps see both games).
I went to the SD game last year, Phindog, Jahn, Gigi and others were supposed to go, but I never heard back from them.
Phindog,
Regarding the heat out West, it’s not really going to transfer to the East coast.
I believe the current scenarios are shifting to La Nina effects which calls for dryer conditions out West (and what is occuring). There was an El Nino pattern for much of the last year but some of the major organizations that track this kind of shit claim that a strong El Nino ended last month.
Here’s a nice simple graphic

I used to live in Azusa, right where the canyon road came out. There’s lots of fires up there, because of the recreation area.
This happened on late afternoon Saturday lol

Crazy!
Mike E,

The weather is similar today but not as intense in the wind department.
Rainy as all hell all day for basically all of Miami-Dade County
Seems like Fort Lauderdale has been spared
Our dear Stanger may have lost a futon. lol
LOL
Now you see why replacing David Blatt with Tyrone was brilliant. Blatt was to the Cavs what Joe Philbin was to the Dolphins. Desmond Howard.
Yep, they both held their team back.
Yes . . . . . I’ve always been “out there” . . . . lol
…this is the United States calling. Are we reaching?…
And we agree again, you feeling aight?
I saw that the rookies are being kept close to Davie. The cutie nutitionist girl did the Dolphin Daily today. They were entertaining kids in the bubble in some kind of camp and they were also out cleaning a park or something. Even Mr Tunsil.

Can’t watch video at work, but I kinda want to see the cute nutritionist girl though
I wonder if that nutrionist advocates for a steady diet of pork?
Only on sandwiches.
I hope that is code for between her and her sister
Did we make it to the playoffs yet?
Yes and you missed it.
dammit.
Holy shit Jakeem Grant just ran by, did you see him?

We could certainly use some S help, not sure we need another CB, but if he can play both, why not?
WELL IT’S BEEN A YEAR OF CHANGE in the College World Series. Schools like Miami and #1 ranked Florida left the series winless. Meanwhile schools like UCSB, Coastal Carolina, Texas Tech and TCU are still in the mix for a title. It’s great to see some of these so-called “Lesser Programs” getting some respect for the outstanding programs they DO HAVE.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000670759/article/ranking-the-nfls-four-best-receiver-groups
good article but why the snide insult at the end?
if Landry has caught more passes than anyone in history in his first 2 years and Tannehill is one of a handful of QBs in history to throw for that many yds. in his first 4 yrs. then
I don’t know what more the author wants the most sacked QB during his career to do than throw for 4000 yds twice in a row etc. …
Win
new head coach needed for that … oh wait …
So you agree with him then, since everything is in place for RT.
http://www.thephinsider.com/2016/6/15/11944044/miami-dolphins-new-york-jets-buffalo-bills-espn-triplets-ryan-tannehill-jarvis-landry-sammy-watkins
I sometimes want to return to the traditional definition of “triplets” as being QB, RB, WR … but whatevs … I still think the ranking should be Miami, Bills, Jets
I don’t know how we can be ranked higher than Buffalo or the Jets. It has to go by what the players did last year, and we clearly took a backseat. Now, this year I expect us to move ahead of both.
The name triplets is retarded to start with, so any definition used is whatever.
Pro Lou,
We made the playoffs on paper 🙂
Btw,
Maybe I’m picky but the nutrition girl is not attractive to me
She’s not drop dead gorgeous, but they just said she was cute.
true. cute always implied “meh, f*&kable at least” lol.
She’s definatey not the hottest woman we have ever posted here
She’s natural though. The cheerleaders are plastic surgery fake. At the SD game last year their cheerleaders were taking pictures with fans, and they were like machines more than humans, but nothing was fake with their legs and booties😄
Saw this on Barry Jackson’s twitter page
http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/2016/06/how-adam-gase-is-trying-to-take-tannehill-to-the-next-level-um-and-marlins-personnel-notes-heat.html
He’s trying to throw a lot at RT to see where his breaking point is. So far he hasn’t broken RT. The next phase is TC.
Gase has been saying he’s trying to break RT for a while now. I wonder. If Philbin/Lazor/Sherman are paying attention to what RT does this year. All 3 will look as bad as MJs coaches did pretty Phil Jackson, if he breaks out.
Another example of football being a team sport, OL getting to the second level. Without the OL doing that against Houston last year, no way does Landry take it to the house on his great catch and run. He goes a little politician on the technique question. Didn’t answer the question.
https://twitter.com/MDCheer/status/744957164633063424
To me the team and offense having success isn’t just about RT, there was a lot wrong with the team last year that hopefully will be better this year.
No question, that’s why everyone keeps saying, he’ll have no excuses this year. I think the team, and coaching staff have held him back the past 4 years. On the flip side, if RT isn’t getting it done any better than he has previously, the team won’t have success.
Well to me no excuses doesn’t exempt the OL if they don’t play better. The defense also has to play better. So to me a lot of things have to be better, not just one guy even though RT is the QB. It’s still a team game.
I escaped from New York. Call me Snake… Scott.
Glad you made it out Plissken
Did you enjoy your trip?
A good bit. way too short of a trip though.
Davone Bess always seemed like one of the good ones….how could you not like him. Something went terribly wrong.
————————
Former Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns receiver Davone Bess was spotted by police in Gilbert, Ariz. late Sunday night for a simple offense – not having his headlights on.
Police attempted to stop Bess, but the 30-year old did not pull over, instead he “rolled down his window and began making gestures with his hand shaped like a gun and motioning that he was shooting the officer.” Police say Bess fled at high speed and rather than conduct a high-speed chase, police went to Bess’ house to wait for him to return.
At first, Bess barricaded himself in his car, a silver Mercedes-Benz, and brandished a knife. He continued to ignore police, blaring the music in his car. Eventually he ran into his house, and “inside the residence Bess would stand at the front window and door holding a knife and on occasion he would put the knife to his throat,” the police report said.
At 4:45 a.m. on Monday, after negotiating for hours, Bess opened the door to police, though he continued to disregard their orders. It was not until a K-9 was sent into the home and bit Bess on his left forearm that he was able to be arrested.
He’s got major emotional issues.
Send a dog when you otherwise don’t want to do the job.
“We’ll see how smart you are when the K-9 comes.
Got 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one.”

When was the last time our HC got this much respect?
What’s up FUers? Been wicked busy but dropping by to see what is going on.
LV just got awarded an NHL franchise. News on the Raiders tomorrow.
How will they keep the ice from melting? 😉
That’s the home ice/water advantage 😉
I’m boycotting them already, the owner wants to name them the Las Vegas Black Knights 😥

Yikes!
Excited for Derrick Rose?
Really?
