Hey Lou how is Nick Foles doing these days?
Actually pay no attention to how Tannehill played for the first 54 minutes. What matters is how did he play when the game is on the line.
Everyone stepped up in that final drive and Parker was key in the win. Gase probably told Tannehill not to fuck with his plays in that last 6 minutes too so he didn’t fuck anything up.
The narrative is wrong. Tannehill’s still mediocre.
If we lost that game on the final drive everyone would be ” well, Tannehill gave it his best shot but the rest of the offense played like shit the remainder of the game”.
Hey, when is the weekly meeting of The Ryan Tannehill Ballsack Swingers Club being held?
The motto “It’s NEVER Tannehill’s fault when the team is losing but it’s ALL him when they win”.
Gase is the reason for the season. He’s winning because he found out how to control Tannehill.
Howie,
I have to stay with the opposite….it is undefeated at this point.
SF 38 Miami 13
I guess the receivers decided to run the correct routes on those last two drives too. Probably weren’t running the correct routes and getting open the remainder of the game. Right?
Lou,
The narrative is what each fan wants it to be as they see it. You narrative is no more accurate or important than anyone else’s. I feel sorry for someone who seems bitter, even when they are winning, just be cause of what you see as other fan’s narratives.
“Fuck Ryan Tannehill”…really? Yeah, that doesn’t come across as bitter at all.
Here we go with the name calling. Can’t come up with anything else. You disagree about the golden boy and you’re a hater or bitter or something else.
Okay Lou Tannehill had nothing to do with the final 2 drives. How silly of us to say otherwise
Not saying he had nothing to do with it. There’s people out there who think those last two drives were ALL Tannehill and nothing could be further from the truth.
Stills makes a diving catch.
Landry makes a tough catch with tight coverage.
Landry catches a receiver screen and takes it up the sideline for a first. Late hit gets some extra yards.
Ajayi has a nice run for a first down.
Parker makes a great diving catch along the sideline for a first down.
Parker goes low and makes another diving catch, plucking the ball off the turf.
Landry catches the ball at the five and his teammates run to him, Steen blows a defender off him and Bushrod, James and Williams push him into the endzone for a td.
Parker makes a fantastic diving catch at the end for the final, winning touchdown.
Plus, the defense kept us in the game despite all the three and out’s we had on first down.
But, if you want the narrative to be about Tannehill getting us the victory then so be it.
That’s why they call it a team game!!! You think GBs line, receivers and RB helped Rodgers when they were at the top of their game? Think he’s getting less help now?
It’s only a team game when we’re losing. When we’re winning it’s all because one player won the games for us.
Pointing out how hypocritical people are here and on the other blog when it comes to Tannehill. When we are losing or the offense isn’t moving the ball it’s always “a team game”.
We win like we did on Sunday and “Tannehill won the game for us”.
I’m the hater because I point out the hypocrites.
If we came up short how many would be saying “Tannehill couldn’t get anything done all game. He didn’t play well” vs ” well, the offense couldn’t move the ball because of the three backups they had on the o-line and Tannehill was facing pressure all game and was sacked four times”.
In addition, everyone’s always critical about the receivers “not getting open” and “running the wrong routes”
And I’m always told that “if you’re going to blame the qb for the offense you have to blame the entire offense and the defense for not getting it done because it’s a team game”. “one person can’t do it all”
But, hey, there was nobody else on the field in those final two drives.
What kind of Miami Dolphins fan says FUCK Ryan Tannehill now?
That shit doesn’t belong here. You can say what you want, but this is clearly sour grapes of a fan with an agenda to disparage our QB regardless of whether we’re winning or not, or how well he’s playing. I think it sucks, so let me get that out there right now. Carry on!
FUCK RYAN TANNEHILL!! Carry on!!
It’s not fair, that stupid Ryan Tannehill gets all the credit and he doesn’t deserve it. Wah, wah, wah!
well, what happens when we’re losing and people bash him. It’s not fair to blame it all on Ryan Tannehill. Wah, wah, wah. Fucking hypocrites.
Funny how you’re the only one Lou. Things that make you go hmmm. I wonder if your son was a WR at TAMU that Ryan beat out or something
yeah funny.
yeah, we’re winning because of our fantastic qb who’s got 12 td’s and 8 int’s. Yeah, that’s the reason!!
Lou: Not saying other players didn’t step up and make nice plays too but you have to give props to Tannehill for doing the same. Also there was a lot of love here for Parker on Sunday
he redeemed himself somewhat for his inconsistent and less than spectacular play earlier in the game. even mediocre qb’s have their moments.
Everyone is enjoying the ride of a 5 game win streak, and Lou sits at home with a fine tooth comb searching for hypocrisies. Oh well . . .
I am enjoying the ride as much as any other Phins fan. Love the team, love the team wins and love the coaching staff.
Why not give Ryan Tannehill all the blame and the credit
That is the job you sign up for at qb
He sure is playing well, even I havent bashed him in weeks…
A little love from NFL.com if you look down towards the bottom of their front page, guess who is in the running for week 11 top performers…
Gase has made him somewhat more efficient and somewhat more effective by limiting the amount of things he does in the offense. Gase picks and chooses when to cut it loose and Gase understands the matchups a lot better than others; like in the td catch by Williams last week where he said they were hoping to get that matchup and when they saw it they went after it.
Gase see’s things a lot better and differently than other offensive coaches and he talks to Tannehill just like he did to Manning telling him what to look for before each play and that has improved Tannehill’s effectiveness. He tells him when to let it rip when they have a matchup they find favorable. Tannehill has become the conduit for Gase’s mind on the field.
With only 12 td’s and 8 int’s thru 10 games it’s hard to argue that Gase is really getting the best out of Tannehill. More than anything, he’s limiting his ability to put the team in bad situations. Maybe the reason for all the 3 and out’s Sunday was due to the fact that Gase went conservative with his play calling so we didn’t turn the ball over and just give us a chance if we could keep it close.
When the final 6 minutes of the game came along there was no other choice but to be aggressive in his play calling then and the offense responded. Had he gone aggressive earlier maybe we would have risked turning the ball over and put the game out of reach but with it being that close we still had the opportunity to win or tie.
Point is, Adam Gase is getting the most of the team right now and whatever the formula is he’s using it’s working at this time. He finds ways to get it done. When the game was on the line everyone on the offensive side of the ball responded and got it done, including the quarterback. But, Gase only put the ball in Tannehill’s hands when he had no choice. He didn’t try to win throwing the ball earlier. He was forced to throw more this last game because the running game wasn’t as effective and they were behind schedule on offense too often but the passing game wasn’t getting it done.
He had no choice but to roll the dice in the last 6+ minutes and it worked out for the best.
You forgot the term …IMO..because that is all this is above…just like we have ours….
Lou
We don’t win or lose solely because of the QB, but he did make some plays at the end of the game to help us win, where in the past, he made plays to help us lose. I’m enjoying it.

I said the same thing above…….it is like it is an obsession or something. My God, we have a 5 game winning streak and still not happy. It is like he has not read the blog any of the past 4 weeks when much of the credit was given to the OL,RB, and coach, until the SD game when Tannehill played great….smh.
Yeah, I don’t get it. I don’t want to try to get it either.
…and he predicted 10-6 this year…..
That was in spite of Tannehill, if it was anyone else, we would have went undefeated. lol

WTF is wrong with Gase? Why didn’t he tell Tannehill not to fuck with his plays for the first 54 minutes?
LMAO
It’s silly. Gase would be the first one to shoot down Lou’s assessments of Tannehill. Sorry Lou but it’s true.
Gase actually pretty much did that yesterday at this press conference, don’t you think?
Yeah Gase has always pointed out the errors the entire unit had, not just one guy. That’s for all phases, not just offense.
I sure wish we could trade Tannehill for Osweiller (LOL!). What a waste of money that dude was. Anyway, I’m glad the raiders won. We need them to keep winning – especially against AFC West teams. We also needs the Broncos to win the two remaining games they have against KC. If KC loses those 3, the Dolphins have a true legitimate shot at the playoffs…as long as they keep winning.
I’d still like to see Tannehill develop more consistently, but I cannot die that kid has a pair of balls and a huge heart (a definite change from the Philbin era – Thank you, Gase). He’s certainly not going to be a Derek Carr, but with the right tools around him, he could be what Prescott looks like in Dallas right now.
errr deny not die. Stupid phone.
Lou,
I actually think we won the game against the Rams because the oline gave tanny time the last 2 drives. The first 54 minutes the oline couldn’t do jack squat. We couldn’t pass or run.
Gase said they had execution problems across the board. Like I said above he actually looks at the entire unit, not just the QB.
Not all football games are pretty or high stat games. It’s like a baseball team shutting out their opponent for 8 innings 1-0 and then the team with 0 wins it with a 2 run HR in the 9th. It happens.
I guess I think if the oline was fully intact we would have scored before the last 6 minutes. I think our fully healthy oline could have done a better job openning up lanes and keeping tanny upright against the dline.

Tannenbaum’s 2015 Draft: WR Parker, DT Phillips, RB Ajayi, CB’s Lippett and McCain. He’s definitely on my good side right now.
Well the last five games sure yielded a different grad of that draft than the one anyone would have put out before.
That’s why they say you have to give it a few years to evaluate drafts. The problem is fans and media are too quick to say everyone sucks. LOL
A message from the coach on the subject!
Dave Hyde
@davehydesports
Adam Gase to media: “Between him being able to throw the deep ball & his play in the 4th qtr, I kind of question your evaluation skills.”
Probably the kiss of death — but I will share from Jackson.

Remaining Dolphins opponents have won only 43.3 percent of their games, the Chiefs’ and Broncos’ remaining opponents have each won 60.6 percent of their games.
Miami’s next five games: San Francisco (1-9), at Baltimore (5-5), vs. Arizona (4-5-1), at the Jets (3-7) and at the Bills (5-5).
After playing at Denver, the Chiefs must play four more games against playoff contenders: at Atlanta, Oakland, Tennessee and Denver, before finishing at San Diego.
The Broncos, after hosting the Chiefs, visit Jacksonville and Tennessee, host New England, go to Kansas City and finish at home against Oakland.

Im still in wonder that we pulled that game out. Im not going into playoff talk but Im glad the team has found ways to win instead of finding ways to lose under Philbin. SF played a pretty decent game against the Pats so this next game isn’t a gimme, especially with all of our injuries. I hope we find the magical formula at least for one more week. Go Dolphins!
Hard not to talk playoff when if we win next week we will be in the #6 spot (Chiefs play Broncos).
Some Power Rankings
But before you get too excited — the 3 AFC West teams are still a fair step above us.
————————————————————————
CBS (Prisco) — #11 (up 2)
They are playing good football, winning five straight. They are definitely in the playoff race.
————
ESPN — #11 (up 6)
2016 record: 6-4 | Week 11 ranking: 17
The Dolphins have won five straight, but each of their past four wins has come after trailing in the fourth quarter. How’s this for Florida ties? According to Elias Sports Bureau, Tim Tebow’s 2011 Denver squad was the last team to win four straight despite trailing in the fourth quarter of each game.
——————–
NFL.com (Harrison) — #10 (up 2)
A fifth straight win that came out of nowhere. Seriously. The Dolphins offense was nowhere to be found through 3 1/2 quarters in a rain-soaked Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sunday. Much like one day of rain in drought-weary SoCal gives climate-change deniers an excuse, Miami’s absent pass offense was similarly obscured by a late surge. Jarvis Landry fueled the first scoring drive, while DeVante Parker owned the second. Interesting that Sunday marked Jared Goff’s first start in the NFL, with the Rams keeping the game-plan leash tight.
These rankings should make Tim feel better…we all know how much he cares about these…LOL
In the words of Jerry Seinfeld
“Well, I don’t know how official any of these rankings really are.”
I’m not sure how many throws Tanny threw in the first 50 mins f the game
But it didn’t seem like a lot
And most were screens
The play calling was very conservative
I’m guessing Gase planned it that way
You probably don’t want to pas the ball 50 times when your OL is sidelined
Ever as little as we threw and as conservative as we played there were 4 sacks
I wasn’t counting but I’m guessing there were a couple of bad throws early in the game
But nothing really stood out to me
Who cares when he performs well enough to wn in the last few minutes anyway
I don’t want big stats tannehill
I want clutch Tannehill
I feel like we got that
If we can keep running well
And we play good defense
This formula might work really well for us
Honestly more than anything I think Fisher blew that game for the Rams with a really conservative (worse than ours) game plan
But you have to remember that Tannehill was fucking with Gase’s play calls for the first 54 minutes
I don’t want big stats tannehill
I want clutch Tannehill
I feel like we got that
I like this comment. Well put. In today’s Fantasy Football stat culture sometimes stats get too much emphasis.
I like it too. All I want him to do is make plays that help us win, and he’s been doing that all through the last 5 wins.
I also think we are going to kill the 49ers and shit down some of this talk about our 6wins being less valuable…lol
I’m not so sure if tunsil, pouncey and albert are out again. I watched the niners game against the pats. They played pretty well I thought.
I’m not sure where they rank but they are one of the worst if not the worst run defense in the NFL
its the blowout matchup I’ve been waiting for
it would help to have Tunsil, if anyone, back again
but I think it hurts us in the passing game more than anything else
they had moments against the rams on the ground
Our OL depth is much better but still shaky.
I think Ethan Pocic will bet the best OL for use due to his versatility it play specifically OC/OG but also fill in a OT as he is right now for LSU. If we add he and zeitler in FA, and our OL will be solid on first and second levels. I was thinking Collins was a more primary target but I’m now feeling zeitler as primary. Collins wouldn’t be bad still, but we could also target Foster, Cunningham, or any number of other guys to give us a legit lb core. I think we should target CB as well, but deeper we go in the first round the less likely we will be able to get one of the top guys.
Team is finally starting to gel, so our needs don’t feel as deep anymore. We should shift to a keep this team together mode and start building depth with a couple spots to look good starters which is much better position than we have been in, in the past
Tanny has to get better with the short crossing routes he is overthrowing, and by that I mean he it throwing things at a straight line trajectory which makes them prone to swat down. Those are usually either open which means they don’t have to be thrown as hard or they shouldn’t be thrown. OGs should start turning their blocks out more but that’s easier said than done sometimes.
Also screen passes, they need to practice that shit hundreds of times, they are practically pathetic at those and Gase seems to want to use them a lot. Imagine if it could be swung out to ajayi or especially Drake where they had an outside lane to really get down hill. It would help the offense a lot just to improve those. Tanny did a lot right last game, I hope he gets a little better I. Those areas and we may got from getting better to really strong.
I think we can shut down the 9ers offense. We rattle QBs well and Kaepernick is easily rattled.
Their defense may give us troubled inside as they have a damn good inside LB core and good DTs. Running on them is going to be hard.
best way to rattle Kaepernick is to pretend you are a voting booth
Bring out American flags on third down to get him to kneel

—————————-
And the guys who do the rankings want something to talk about……..and the win streak makes us a story right now, especially after the bad start.
They’ll pop us up for that and after the crash say, “told you they weren’t for real.”
Why couldn’t predict what would happen with the team…….was pretty darn sure the Dolphins would be looking better right now just based on the schedule. Brutal start, soft middle, and what looked to be a sorta normal last slate of teams.
D
I hate the damn screen passes. I’m not sure if it’s Tannehill that doesn’t throw them well, disguise them well, but I especially hate them in long yardage situations on 3rd down, it’s a major give up. To me, that’s what Tannehill has to work on the most, finding a receiver beyond the 1st down marker, or one that has a legit shot to get the 1st down.
you have to have time to do that. Usually on 3rd and long the defense is coming quick. Screen pass is a safe play in that situation. The pats do it all the time and get the 1st downs. We just don’t know how to use it yet.
You do need time, but I think you have to try to get the receivers past the 1st down marker, and leave one option closer, but Tannehill is athletic, and he may also have the option to run if they all sell out on the rush, and there’s no one to cover him in the box.
I can admit I gave up on Tanny too soon. He may never be ‘elite’, but he can make elite throws at times, and he has been clutch in the 4th consistently for the last 5 games. He has made some outstanding throws, doesn’t get rattled by pressure, has shown better pocket presence, minimized the stupid turnovers, and is as much a part of these wins as any other member of the team. He is still inconsistent from quarter to quarter or half to half, but with the improvement we’ve seen this season under Gase’s tutelage, I have legitimate hope the consistency will develop with his increased familiarity in Gase’s system. Heck, the increased pocket awareness he’s developed should be enough to give anyone hope he can develop in other areas. I thought Tanny was hopeless there.
I give Gase credit for the improvement, but the talent is Tanny’s. Add a pass catching TE, (fuck you Cameron, you’re a used jockstrap), and it should open up this offense even more. Add some depth on the oline, and this is an elite offense. What more can you ask for from that unit?
Since we’ve turned it around, we’re averaging almost 24 points a game, 29 a game before the Rams and their stout defense. We were down our 3 BEST olinemen in that game, our defense kept us in it, and we won with two clutch drives at the end. Good teams find a way to win games like that, bad teams don’t. It’s a simple as that.
We have a developing identity on offense, we are finding ways to win instead of lose, and if we continue on like this, we have a legitimate shot at the playoffs, and an outside shot at the division. We win against the Niners and we’re tied for the last WC spot going into week fucking 13! We’ve had one, count ’em one! flipping season like this to cheer for in the last 15 damn years! And the best part is, it really appears like we’re building something that we can move forward with in the years to come. Tanny is part of that.
Does it really matter to what degree any of us were ‘right’ or ‘wrong’? We can win with him. Let it go, embrace it, and enjoy the ride we’re on right now.
We have won 5 straight but we are still a weak team in many respects. Our starting 5 is a top 5 unit but they are never healthy. If we could keep 5 healthy OL that are really good, I would be more hopeful of our chances going into the last few weeks. We’ve had a ton of injuries this year. I don;t know if we have the talent to keep this train going even 6 more games. The Bills, Pats, and Ravens will probably be very tough games. The others could be tough depending on who is able to play.
Is Albert still under contract next year? What about Pouncey?
I think Albert is under contract through ’18., and Pouncey till ’20
Albert is still a cut candidate next year though.

D,
You’re thinking of Niners teams of past years. This year their LBs and DT have been decimated by injury. They are the worst in the league at stopping the run, giving up 180 yds a game. We should run all over them.
its one of of not the worst rush defense in the NFL
all the retirement shave hurt them too
the 49ers got bad fast
Yeah, and Navarro Bowman got injured again, he was the heart of the LB crew.
Good point. Justin Smith retiring was a huge loss for the dline.
Yeah, but other than those few things, what do you think of their run defense?..LOL
If I never see another WR screen pass out of this offense, I would be entirely ok with that. I hate that play, and we suck at it.
We definitely do, and I’ve seen a couple this year that were almost picked off.
Cav,
If you mean a success rate of 0% qualifies as sucking…
By the way, excellent post above at 12:44. Even if it was “D” like.
Lol, funny, you say that. I almost made a comment about channeling Krillian (old, old blog), who D reminds me of with the novel length posts.
LOL..I remember Krillian
I always liked Krillian. He brought even-handed, even-tempered insight.
CavalierKong says:

Cav — but he had always been elite when he got in the zone. Guess you could say that about other QBs, but that was for real long streaks that left you shaking your head when the bad ones came.
Maybe it has more to do with a better line or wideouts or Gase learning to game plan to the strengths, but we sure are seeing more of the hot Tanny these days.
Sure, everything has to be considered a factor. It’s all immeasurable so we can speculate about it all. Personally, I think the coach has been the single biggest factor, because I see coaching in the developing pocket awareness, but as FFR is so fond of espousing, it’s the whole team having an impact. Without WR play and oline play the offense doesn’t do squat, lol.
Oh, and how could I neglect to mention Ajayi and even Williams manning the backfield of course.
Just remember when the offense has ups and downs it’s not always on the QB. There are a lot of moving parts that have to all execute. Blaming the QB all the time is just easy to do because most fans and media don’t really know what else broke down. The coaches and players do though.
I remember Krillian as well. Was disappointed he never made it here.
Actually, he never made to the other blog either . . .
I’m not a fan of WR screens that every team runs either but we do get some good gains out them. The problem is when it doesn’t work it’s really ugly looking. Giants fans that I know hate them too. LOL
Wow, the only team left on our schedule with a winning record is the Patriots. Of course, the Ravens, Jills, and Jest games are all going to be tough so I guess it doesn’t matter that much, but still, it’s worth noting.
To me no game should ever be taken lightly and we’re not in the kind of position to get caught up in trap games. To me trap games were always for teams who are like 10-2 looking past an opponent because they have a big DIV or CONF game the following week that will decide the #1 seed or something like that. Any 6-4 team who does that isn’t getting it.
The are NO trap games for the 2016 Miami Dolphins!!!!
If any NFL team takes any other NFL team lightly, they are asking to be beat. As a professional, they should prepare the same for all of them. As a fan, I like that all of the games we have left are against middle of the road teams. It’s easier for me to see us going 5-1 against the schedule we have than it is against a schedule that includes teams like the Cowboys, Seahawks, and Raiders.
The 49ers run defense is on pace to be one of the worst of all time so that is a favorable matchup for us. They’re allowing 179.5 PG.
As long as we have a healthy Tunsil and a healthy Pouncey, it should be easy. If not, who knows . . .
I highly doubt pouncey is playing this week. Everyone is saying out a few weeks. I think tunsil is the only one that could possibly return this week
Albert is also a possibility but I think he’ll be out at least another week.
Even if our oline isn’t healthy, I think we can still have success against the Niners defense. They are 30th in the league in pass rush, QBs are throwing with a 97.3 rating against them, and they really can’t defend the run. To me the only X factors in this game are turnovers and Kaepernick. No turnovers and don’t let Kaep run all over us and we should finish the week 7-4.
On defense we put a spy on Kaep, gear up to stop Hyde in the running game, and force Kaep to beat us with his arm, which he won’t.
I really hope we get back to running the ball effectively, even with backup at o line.
If we’re trying to turn this franchise around, on a 5 game winning streak and at 6-4 – losing to the 1-9 49ers would be a bad loss at home. The only thing that makes it less bad is it’s outer conference. But still a bad loss.
Hopefully we can get the W without needing late game heroics, and fingers crossed we get most of our oline healthy enough for the Ravens game.
Agreed. At this point, just get the W no matter what. The OL has a better chance being healthier against BAL.
It’s crazy with the rushing stats this year. There is a huge drop off after the top 3 rushing teams and after the top 2 worst run defenses. We’re the 3rd worst rush defense in the league at 126.1. Most of that was earlier in the season though, we’re better than that recently. We’re also the 8th best rushing team at 118.1. But we’re also much better than that recently.
The running game is down this year overall.
We’ve been much better against the run the last couple of games.
Wyoming: That’s identical to My House…
The dreaded divided house game!
My Fins beats my wife’s 69’ers
Oh my! LOL
Jason Jones gone, maybe Dion Jordan in . . .
As Kong and Wyoming state Have Kiko as the Kaepernick spy to keep him from killing it and I predict a slaughter for us….
I was going to say that but it will likely be a mix of defenders doing that. Also staying in our rush lanes is key. Keep him in the pocket and pound on him.
^ Yes!
So Dion is going to practice for the first time in like two years. He’s like that guy who is like a long-lost friend who calls and is your buddy all of a sudden when he learns you are having a blow out party.
I’m not counting on him. He’ll probably tweak something and miss the rest of the season
Not holding my breathe either, but still hoping for the best. And he was pretty good on special teams.
Kind of Ironic he may replace another Suspended Druggie.. 🙂
It was a DUI for Jones.
oh.. My Bad..
My .02 ..
our O Line and Coach have given us :
Lanes to run through = Improved Run game
Improved Run game = less three and outs = Rested Defense
Better protection= More time and now TRUST by QB that he will have time to survey field, and /or to slide or move up to avoid rush.
As Tim Likes to call it Complimentary Football..
Thanks for the props Toba. That’s how you win. People forget the Pats have won all four of their SBs by 3, 3, 3 and 4 points. They lost two because of a fierce pass rush (Giants). As much as people like to make it out to be all about Brady, it’s not.
I think this year it became very obvious Belicheat has a Large hand in their winning..
And although hate the evil Beli-Witch am thinking we might have found with the same skills. In my mind — a male version of…….
There’s No Place Like Home , There’s No Place Like Home !!!!
He knows how to coach all the moving pieces. I prefer team football over relying on a few players.
lol Toba — and we are 4-1 there……nothing like a two-week West Coast road trip over the Rainbow either though.
Toba
When is the Canadian Thanksgiving?
October 10th..
and if anyone cares (I really don’t) CFL Championship Grey Cup is this Sunday..
🙂
😀 I don’t usually care about the CFL, unless of course we get a player from it.
Mike E: CFL season starts in Late June, so it gives me something to watch until NFL Preseason starts.. Then I will follow Just the Blue Bombers, up to the point they are eliminated .. this year they actually made playoffs .. Lost i Western Semi’s to BC Lions who lost last week to Calgary.. Never saw a down of the Semi’s as it was against the San Diego game..
Toba, how do you know Belicheat has a Large hand? LOL
yeah…. I Got nothing.. 🙂
LOL
LOL @ Tim and Toba
Says the Man with the Tiny Soft Hands..
Stanger.. And then getting to Carry the 2 game Cali Trip forward VS the 9ers at home is another blessing.. This week was our choice for the Fest , but Alas.. The Bills Game was an awesome time..
And on that note , I need to leave to retrieve the Wife’s car from tire shop..getting her Winter tires put on.. 3 inches of snow overnight last night, followed by freezing rain this morning made the ride in a real Fun Time.. Now temps are starting to drop again so will be just as much fun driving home..
Have a Good One Peeps..
Enjoy! LOL
What does he know?

If Dion Jordan makes is officially on the roster again, I expect a firm kick in the nuts within about a week.
That seems to be his M.O.
So is it safe to where my Dion Jordan jersey again?
it seems to be an ashy grey color now…
looking back I think this blog needs to have a collective laugh at the 2 regulars who purchased a Dion Jordan jersey after he was drafted
Not only did we both foolishly spend $ on his jersey but I remember it being quite a hassle to find one in white
LOL – Definitely NOT safe. He probably won’t play a game for us this season. He’ll have another setback, maybe even another PED suspension. lol
My gift to the blog
http://images.footballfanatics.com/FFImage/thumb.aspx?i=/productImages/_1938000/ff_1938413_xl.jpg&w=400
I would like to apologize in advance……I am taking the Bills in my survivor pool this week.
On that note
I also want to apologize
for a different reason
I just asked the blog to have a collective laugh at Mike E and I for wasting money on a Dion Jordan jersey
I should have included you too….for having the Grease soundtrack on your phone….lol
Lmao that is some funny shit
It’s ok. They aren’t playing the Dolphins 🐬 this week
Go Bills for a three point loss.
My bad……..forgot it was straight up and not against the spread.
I have went with my gut first choice all year….not going to stop now.
Piggy do not wear that Jordan jersey just yet. Not until there has been a full exorcism
Tim the statement you made about all blame not being on the QB is certainly true, but all the praise can’t go to him when things go well either. I think FFR, when he isn’t stoking a argument fire, is probably most spot on. We have to get away from trying to use one side or the other to try to make that point, because you can have it obe way OR the other you have to accept both.
Having a balanced team that is consistently solid across the board is being better for us than having studs at any couple or three positions. We are better when everyone does their part instead of counting on one guy to carry us. Even in this last contest, the team held together to get that win.
Tanny isn’t elite and won’t be, but he us showing he does his part and the more we start to get players to always start doing theirs the more success we will have. It’s also the best kind of success because that becomes dynasty type success and not one year great next year awful kind of inconsistency
We get the depth of our positions under control and this could be a really solid team with a good outlook for years to come
Thanks for reminding me of what I’ve been saying for the last few years. LOL
I’m a team guy, bro! This team is starting to make big plays to win games in all phases. I enjoy it! 🙂
Ajayi goes nuts for a few games
RT makes plays late – Landry, Stills and Parker
Grant and Drake with TD returns
Alonso 60 yard INT TD return
Oh yeah the defense coming together
I’m silly like that. 🙂
Interesting note (at least to me). 701 people started in the pool, 71 left. One of them was in the bar I was in tonight. He may be taking Miami. I hope he survives.
The Packers are 4-6 with the most physically gifted QB in the league. Why?
Because Dom Capers Toupee scares all the Def out of the team meetings ??
Ken
Not sure if stomping on, burning and shredding a jersey counts as an exorcism
But if so – I think it’s safe now
I think this gives a lot of insight into how it is for a lot of these players.
http://www.theplayerstribune.com/jj-watt-am-i-done/
Tannehill hit 70% of his passes. What is wrong with that? Any QB would love that.

just goes to prove you know nothing about football. why not stick to killing squirrels. all that matters is having an elite qb, the won loss record is pointless. who cares about that shit.
Rob
Are you sure Cam isn’t the most physically gifted QB in the league? Oh, and BTW, how’s Carolina doing?
Game winning play
It doesn’t jump out as any special to me
But it’s accurate, decisive and much better than what we saw from Tannehill earlier this season
You “team game” guys won’t like to hear it
But I’m a beleive run looking at the individual players performance and judging the player
It’s not about what causes the wins or losses
It’s about the performance of the individuals
Sunday’s 4th qtr performance from our qb was night and day from what we saw earlier this year
So you give the individual his due
He has earned it IMO
It’s not about the cause of the win or loss to me
It’s jut about looking at players and deciding if they are your guys
It wasn’t a special throw Piggy, but it was a very good/great throw considering the game was on the line.
It’s all you want From your QB Brian
I agree
Piggy
I said that earlier in a discussion with Prof. Lou. Earlier in the year Tanny was making plays that helped us lose, but lately, he’s been making plays, late in the game, that helped us win.
I think that’s right
He’s a better qb these days
Did he finally turn the qb?
Better coaching?
Less of a burden on him?
I don’t care
I just think he’s been better
The only game I would say he took over was the 2nd half of the loss against the Patriots. He was brilliant in that half of the game. Like you said, he has helped us win the last five games, aided by some big plays by the rest of the team. Most importantly, he hasn’t made those huge mistakes late in the game that cost us. Anyone who is not pleased with his performance is pretty tough to please…
The patriots game (2nd half) might have been his best performance of the year
https://twitter.com/rsmith534/status/800853648980971520
Interesting stat about Maxwell
He’s been playing much better
Sunday’s 4th qtr performance from our qb was night and day from what we saw earlier this year
yeah he just sucked that first game of the year letting seattle drive down the field for a game winning score after he gave the fins the lead late in the game
He wasn’t good in that Seattle game
The defenses, performance should not affect your evaluation of him
He was good in the Next game
And then bad for about 3 games after that
But he wasn’t very good in the first 5 games of the season as a whole
mike,
you are being just as silly as lil timmie. carolina is doing wonderful, they have an elite qb. now stop thinking winning matters

he wasnt good in the rams game. the defenses performance should not affect your evaluation of him.
It doesn’t
That’s my point
just funny how they could have won the seattle game if the def was playing then like it is now but the only one any one wants to say is playing better is the qb when he played the exact same way in the seattle game
They could have won that game if stills doesn’t have that drop either
We were down 2 scores vs the Rams btw
And on both late drives they were better than anything we saw in the Seattle game

Thanks for reminding me of what I’ve been saying for the last few years. LOL
I was going to point that out. 🙂
Piggy:
The game winning throw was a hell of a good throw. Exactly how it’s taught low hard and he put the WR between the ball and the defender
Honestly it’s just a flat
It’s well executed
But the last throw of the New England game was a better throw IMO
It was harder throw
And what about those great deep throws in the chargers game
I’m not suggesting it was a bad throw
In fact the opposite
It was exactly what we needed
But in terms of difficulty
We’ve seen tougher throws from him recently
I didn’t want to call it a great throw
But I wouldn’t do a thing to correct it
He has made harder throws but that throw was perfect. It was were his guy was the only one who can make a play on it and it was outside the hash marks so you have to put a lot of zip on it
Mike, I think your comment was for me. Cam does not have Rodgers’ instincts or arm. Running he has the edge, throwing not even close. Nobody is. Rodgers throws ropes that only a few in history can do. Hey fuckface, RT is one of them. LOL

Mike, I think your comment was for me.
wow, you jealousy is pathetic. you just cant handle if mike talks to me. stop trying to steal my mikie
piggy,
never mind. you are right, it is all t hill playing better. has nothing to do with the rest of the team. i mean what the hell do i know. hell next thing one knows tim will be saying it is a team game too
lol @ “all”
wtf Rob
Don’t you get tired of arguing with yourself
I’m saying Tannehill is playing better
He’s playing really well actually
It’s nothing more than that
I don’t know why you depend on absolutes like this when the topic comes up
He wasn’t good in that Seattle game
The defenses, performance should not affect your evaluation of him
He was good in the Next game
And then bad for about 3 games after that
But he wasn’t very good in the first 5 games of the season as a whole
Gee, I wonder why? I Can’t believe a guy on a team that completely changed the playbooks on both sides of the ball didn’t start the year playing as well as they do after 33 more practices…….It is week 11 and they have only had 33 practices to tune and get on the same page, what 200 plays? (I don’t know how many plays may be in a playbook, but I’ve heard they have a lot.)
But don’t forget
Tunsil Albert and ounces were all out
The Rams new we were passing for he majority of both those drives
And it OL was decimated
I’m saying Tannehill is playing better
He’s playing really well actually
It’s nothing more than that
lmfao, do you even read the post before you respond. i am saying he isnt playing better but rather the rest of the team is. and you think i am arguing with myself. at least i read your post before i respond to them
I didn’t say “all”
You said “all”
You should read you own posts
‘I don’t know why you depend on absolutes like this when the topic comes up’
i dont even know what that means. so what when we are having a discussion it should be based on things that arent absolutes. i wouldnt know how to discuss something with ‘oh well this isnt happening but here goes anyways’
It means you interpret something the way you want to
And unless it’s identical you assume it’s the opposite of what you are saying
You are having an argument with yourself as a result
I didn’t say it was all Tannehill’s fault for losses or it was all Tannehill play that is getting us wins
I’m saying he is playing better than the first half of the season
The whole team is playing better
The 2 things can co-exist
I don’t think you avoid evaluating a player on the absolute premise that it’s a team game and you can’t look at an individual
In your world does anyone ever improve or digress?
I do t know why I bother
I’ve had this discussion with you before
You do this everytime

Ken
I would change a thing about it
But careful on complimenting a throw
It’s a team game
Nothing can be attributed to a player
lmfao @ piggy.
i truly apologize for not seeing things exactly like you do and having different opinion. from now on my flying friend i will just agree with every thing you always say.
i will not proceed to slap myself for not seeing things your way
You don’t have to slap yourself that’s why you have me chained up in the basement

NEXT TO LAST GAME this Sunday with what’s left of “My Boyz.” Only my brother-in-law Jim, Steve, Joan and your’s truly are left from the original cast. Next year it will be just Steve and me.–SO, for Jim’s sake, I’d sure like it if we at least made the playoffs FOR HIM, his 51st, and final year as a season ticket holder. He’s only missed THREE home games during that 51-year span. DOUBT if anyone else on the planet can equal or improve on that record in Dolphin country!

But as some retire, others jump aboard. My co-worker Ryan, his fiancee, two of their friends, plus the one and only Young Stanger will be with me at the ’49ers game. It will be a time of enjoyment AND a time for reflection. OH, THE MEMORIES!! And oh how I’d LOVE to see our boys in just one more Super Bowl before my life’s clock strikes zero!

ONE FINAL POINT.
Today marks yet ANOTHER anniversary for me and the love of my life, the beautiful Miss Penny, otherwise known here as “Mrs. OD!” She’s gonna make a big effort to attend what will be my final home game of the season next month vs. the Arizona Cardinals. That ought to be easy compared to all those decades she’s spent WITH ME!!

It’s the same routine you usually do
I’m just a little tired of it today
Usually I ignore it
piggy,
you do take the cake. you come out attacking then get all in a tissy when someone plays the victim card. you do make me laugh.
