  1. DeVante Parker is beginning to look like a stud. Some crazy catches with some being overturned due to getting pushed out. Tannehill played really well and he’s beginning to look like a $90 million QB. We really need to get our O-Line healthy for the stretch. We cannot win relying solely on Tannehill’s arm. We need Ajayi.

    • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

The O-line will be our biggest concern down the stretch. We cannot sustain wins with backups at 3-5 positions. Hopefully we get Albert & Tunsil back this week for the Raven’s game. We need them. The Ravens don’t need to bring 9 or sometimes 10 players down in the box to stop our run game like the 49’rs did yesterday. It will be MUCH tougher for Tannehill and the receivers to beat the Ravens D one dimensionally than it was against SF.

  2. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

    I’m feeling Gasey! 😳😳

  3. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Do you think it is time to take down the poll about the Fest game yet??? I keep voting for the Steelers game, but it won’t change!

  4. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

    From the Palm Beach Post

“The Dolphins are winning because some players are exceeding expectations. And because Adam Gase, buoyed by an innate confidence, has proven already, that he is afraid of no challenge or dose of adversity.

Gase has proven already, that he is the right man for this job.”

    I AGREE!

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

Win this game against the ravens on the road and I would say that he is the right man on the job because then I would say we’re a serious playoffs contender.

  5. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

What’s going on with Ajayi. I know he doesn’t have the starting oline but I don’t see the burst and will to get yards from him right now. I hope he gets his mojo back soon.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I think you really can;t judge him till the O-Line is back. We saw the before and after last time around. O-Lin was OK on pass protect yesterday, but not a lot of holes to run through.

      • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

I hope that’s it. I just wanted to see more intensity yesterday from the running game. But the oline sucked royally.

  6. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I was rooting like heck for there not to be a tie btwn the Broncs and Chiefs last night (and it got down to just a few minutes left).

If there is a three-way or more tie for the Wild Card, first rule is that there is a tie-breaker btwn the teams in the same division. Whoever loses that one is out.

Still unlikely, but if they tied it was out. Same rule could come back to bit us in the butt with the BIlls if we lose to them.

  7. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

LOL @ FFR struggling to enjoy the win as he’s killing the defense. I know what he means it’s just funny winning 6 in a row doesn’t trump that.

  8. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Boulder, I don’t know if it is anything (not on any injury report) but I saw the trainers working on Ajayi’s hip during the game yesterday.

  9. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I think Ajayi is fine. He’s not getting the creases he was getting before. He’s still running hard. I’m just looking forward to getting at least 2 of our guys on the O-line back, and my guess is it will be Tunsil, and then Pouncey, and then Albert.

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

It was strange because we ran to the right side of the line a lot with sims helping and still got no where. I think the focus of teams going forward is gonna be stopping ajayi. Which is what niners did. They have 8 man in box a lot, which allowed Tanny to carve them up.

BTW I actually think albert will be back before pouncey. I guess we’ll see.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Yeah the push isn’t there in the run game without our starters all in there. It’s just not.

  10. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Will remind everyone that our last for wins were against, the Jets, Chargers, Rams, and 49ers.

Now four in a row in this league is something to be proud of, but Sunday against the Ravens in Baltimoore will be a different kind of test. Their D is really good.

  11. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The Ravens have been our tough nemesis, time to fuck them up! It’s payback time, and I plan to enjoy it! I think I hate the Ravens almost as much as I hate the Patriots.

  12. If we go 4-1 in our last 5 I think it’s pretty much a guarantee that we get into the playoffs. We need either KC or Oakland to beat Denver. If both beat Denver then our path to the playoffs gets way easier.

  13. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Vinnie

They beat us in the playoff game , and they also have knocked us out of the playoffs a couple of times in recent years, and in general, they’re a perennial cocky team. I will relish beating them big time.

    • Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

Ravens are my brother-in-laws favorite team. We were at a wedding this weekend and he already started talking shit. I just smiled.

    • Oh I fully understand the hatred, but there’s no way I’ll rank em above the Jets or Patriots (especially since I live in CT and hear their bullshit every damn day). Ravens are definitely a top 5 hated team though!

  14. Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

It’s nice to read positive articles online these days about the Dolphins!!!

‘fugly’ win, but we won’t be mentally sloppy the rest of the way. Each of our opponents is worthy of ‘fear’ for either their records or because division games throw out records.

  15. Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

Two drafts in a row where we get starters from BEYOND the first round who are actually worthy of being starters. That’s how we get a promising roster with 29 players 25 years old or younger!! (Jeff Ireland is tweeting that the draft is rigged LOL).

  16. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Early line has 3.5 dogs, Think that about right.

  17. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Kaep played a pretty damn good game against us. He didn’t really have anything to work with, but he kept the game close by doing a lot of things out there.

  18. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

It was strange because we ran to the right side of the line a lot with sims helping and still got no where.

Boulder, Simms did a terrible job blocking yesterday. He whiffed on several blocks that were just horrible! I gave him a break though because of the two big receptions he made (one for a TD)

  19. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    Rhino

Good job just smiling. Let them be cocky, we’ll just put the knife in their back and twist it! lol

  20. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Siemian played great last night too.

  21. Ken's avatar Ken says:

The Ravens are not the same Ravens of recent memory. They are beatable. I am not saying we win but that team is not what it used to be.

  22. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

BTW – Just loving what Drake is doing in the return game

  23. Ken's avatar Ken says:

I agree with Vinnie that the Ravens offense is putrid. Their D is still a force, especially the pass rush and that is why we need our OL to be healthy

  24. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

One important thing about the Ravens, they’re 6-2 in the conference. We need to beat them., and also hope the Broncos keep losing

  25. Looking at the weather ahead, rain is in the forecast. Even more reason why we need Tunsil, Pouncey and/or Albert back. We need our running game at full throttle to win this game!!!

  26. Ken's avatar Ken says:

I do think Gase was being cautious with our injured OL this week hoping that we can weather the storm against the 49ers with hope that we will have the unit at or near full strength for the Ravens

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

I hope albert can play. He really is the most important player on the oline IMO. Without him they seem lost.

    • Agreed, and we were able to pull one out with not only 3 starters missing on the o-line but with Fede & Nick Williams playing extended snap counts as well. So, we pulled one out being down some guys in this game and the coaching staff is still getting it done without the talent. These guys are good.
Imagine when we get some guys in here at LB and some depth on the o-line.

  27. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

    Rock,
I thought James and bushrod run blocked like shit as well. I think the whole oline wasn’t blocking well yesterday. Maybe it was because the niners had crowded the box to stop Ajayi and force tanny to beat them, which he did 🙂

  28. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Ravens are 2nd in total yards given up only to the Cardinals. And not like the Bills were an easy go first time around (and they are 10th btw). Our O has some tests coming up.

  29. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

I worry about the Ravens game. They seem to always have our number and be part of why we miss the playoffs. Except for the one win they gave us in our 1-15 year they have pretty much owned us. (last year’s game being another exception) Playing them in December in their house with both of our playoff hopes on the line is a big challenge.

That being said, they have only beaten the Bills, Browns (2), Jaguars, Steelers & Bungles. Just the kind of team we have lost to in the past.

  32. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We definitely need to add an impact LB and re-sign Alonso. Hewitt and Butler provide some good depth along with guys like Vigil and Hull on STs and as backups. But we do need to add a really good LB to the mix in the offseason.

  33. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

    Armando Salguero ✔ @ArmandoSalguero
Dolphins are expecting OL Laremy Tunsil back Sunday at Baltimore. Were hopeful last week and it didn’t work out. Better chance this week.

  34. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I would like to move Kiko outside and draft a classic Mike LB, even if he is a 2 down kinda guy

I think that might take the D to the next level

We can use a young pass rusher and some depth at DB too
Maybe even an early pick at CB

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

You can’t really invest a lot in 2 down LBs because of the way offenses play these days. You need 3 down LBs across the board. Now having some guys who are thumpers on short yardage and goal line is okay, but we really should try to find a dynamic 3 down LB.

  35. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

It would be nice to have Albert and Tunsil vs the Ravens
But I really think Pouncey was a difference maker when he was healthy

Giants fan I know don’t care that they’ve won all but one of their games by one possession.

It is funny to me because I remember thinking about the losses during any given year and saying…..if we just would have one those 4 close games…..now we are winning them, and I am going to enjoy it dammit!!….LOL

  46. Do we ask Santa for LB’s and a couple OG’s or do we pray to the Draft Fairy?

  47. I said for the past 2 years we were a 10 win team ibecause we should have won some of the games we lost and Gase is getting us to play good enough to win those games instead of losing them.
Do we still have holes? Sure do but I’ll take winning like this any day over losing and over draft position. You look at the Pats and they don’t have the greatest roster in the league but find ways to win with the talent they’ve got. This is what Gase gives us.
We shore up a few of those positions next season and we’re a perennial playoff team from here on out.

  48. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

everyone once in a while I notice how good another team has drafted
last night watching the chiefs I realized how many of their defensive e players are former 1st round picks of theirs.

    Eric Berry
    Derrick Johnson
    Tamba Hali
    Marcus Peters
    Donatri poe
    Jutsin Houston was 3RD ROUNDER

    they really drafted well

  50. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

In the past we were the team like the 49ers who got back in the game late and then fell short. We would try to get something out of a moral victory. Now after winning 6 in a row that won’t really fly because winning is so much better. 🙂

  51. Ken's avatar Ken says:

I agree with Lou that every game remaining on our schedule is winnable but that doesn’t mean I think we win them all. We will have tough games at Buffalo and at the Jets. Those will be cold weather games against divisional opponents. Of course we still have the Pats and until proven otherwise they are still the best team in football as much as it pains me to say that

For me the first round should be BPA outside of say QB if Ryan is our guy which he appears to be, and LT wouldn’t make much sense unless the guy is really good and versatile because Tunsil will be Albert’s replacement. I’m not a fan of drafting RBs 1st rd unless we’re picking later and a really talented guy falls to us.

RED indicates a difficult matchup against a better team. YELLOW indicates an average team, so for us, we’re a better team playing an average team. A positive we did have was that because of this we had to do a make shift Thanksgiving at our place instead of going to our cousin’s place where many of our family went. 79. FFR,
Does he live at home? If he’s an adult and lives at home he STILL lives by your rules. If not, then yeah, let him make his own mistakes.
But, the thing is, if he’s living at home you tell him he’s not going to take the lesser paying job and live at home so he can hang out with his friends. If he’s an adult it’s time for him to grow up and act like one. Adults don’t take jobs just so they can be with their friends. That’s not being an adult. That’s being an adolescent.

Yeah it’s unfortunate. Who knows if the previous concussions affected him and he didn’t really know that it did. Concentration is a big part of the game and that seemed to be some of his issues other than another concussion.

Not sure why I’m posting this since I’ve already established my parenting skills. If the two jobs are similar type work, the higher of the two is the one. I’ve worked for all kinds of people I don’t really care for. If they are different and the lower paying one is what his ‘dream’ is then it’s hard to argue it. But if it’s similar and just the people aspect then that’s making a decision for the wrong reason. Its hard to know about people just from an interview, and that goes for both sides. Just scroll on by though…that’s the smart thing to do. lol

Not any more qualified than anyone else Rob, and I forgot how old he is, but if he’s not in college, it’s just a very immature decision to go with the $10K job. I mean, if he were deciding between one job that paid $60K, and another that paid $50K, and he liked the $50K job better because of personnel, or maybe it was an easier job, that’s one thing, but the disparity is too great to take the $10K job. Like Lou said, it’s time to grow up. My son will soon be making these type of decisions, and I would tell him the same thing.

Does the condom change if the wearer has an STD, or the recipient? lol

Wow. Now they have “smart condoms” that change colors if there’s STD’s present.

they should advertise them as ‘smart condoms for dumb dicks’

both jobs are just selling the same type of product. and what makes it even more silly is the higher paying job includes benefits and a 401k program. now i will say he likes the other guys then more then just from an interview. he has bought stuff from there shop

He could buy a lot more stuff from that shop with 30K.

probably even with that kind of money even buy some common sense

Why is there not a single article on the Dolphins victory on nfl.com? not even a game story on the recap tab on the scoreboard link. They are so biased against us.

Wow Lou, that is a really noble thing you and your ex did. I have worked with many fosters children in the past, and it’s not an easy gig for the foster parents. I have much respect for you.

We really need to win this game. We will likely be battling it out with the Ravens , among others, for a playoff spot.

    Herd,

What’s the big idea? I was reading through the posts catching up, and I came upon yours and read all the way through it and then at the end you say to scroll on by. You may want to put that at the beginning of the post next time. Lol

What I meant to say is I HOPE he will making these types of decisions soon, he has to get his ass in gear to start arranging more interviews. He graduates in June
