My only Q on that is why the Ravens seemed to be the first team to get that.
The patriots also exploited it in week 2
I think other teams have gone after it but we played well enough in other facets to not leave it out there

It is such a clear weakness, especially once Reshad went down. I know you like your skill position guys, but find us some LB Samurai.

Ken a few of the breakdowns in the middle have been the players not reading things well or failing their coverages. That last one was a boneheaded D call. I think they could bring in a reserve safety and have them play one of the LB spots but it may be they never practice it and if so the safety probably wouldn’t know what to do.

Tannehill unraveled today. No other way to put it. Big game, came up small. That being said, the pussy defense set the tone in this one. They got pushed around all over like babies in strollers.

Ok, we sucked ass today, but it was one game. Hopefully it was an anomaly and we can get back on track. We are going to need to win out with two tough road games left.
Only real tough road game left is the Bills. Jets and Cardinals are folding their tents and if Pats have the #1 seed in hand then they will just mail it in.
So winning out is not a lotto dream at all.

Honestly, I don’t see any reason before today that you would have known we had no business in the playoffs. If we played like we had the last 6 games, we could have beaten the Ravens. We played worse than our worst game though instead.
I at least new this team had serious flaws, especially on D. And think about who we beat in those games and close. But heck…..you make the playoffs and you deserve to be there.
And if anything, what I have been pleased about is how much Gase has been getting out of this team. That is the best sign going forward.

I am so happy where this team is. Win the next game. That is where I am at. This is all gravy. Beat Arizona and go from there. I am just so glad we finally have our coach…..and by the way…. the players have bought in.
Biggest win of the day was you are alive and still looking for your own win in the Super Bowl. Phins over either.

I’d be pretty pissed off today if I was Gase. Stupid penalties aren’t going away, team has at least one drive starting inside the other teams 35 that ends in a punt, and a lot of the players just aren’t where they need to be. Parker is as soft as tissue. He let that guy take his TD from him. That’s pathetic honestly. Tannehill threw some uglies but it definitely wasn’t all on him. The defense looked awful. A full defensive draft may not be enough. They just don’t do a good job and really haven’t most of the year.
That was a sad display of professional football.
Bad game for sure…..but we are still 7-5 when we would probably be 5-7 under some of our previous coaches.

We definitely have the right coach. I think we don’t have nearly enough of the right players. Our guys are either weak or injury prone outside of Tannehill, Landry, Suh, and Ajayi. That’s a serious problem if you want to ever get somewhere. You need the talent and they need to be stronger than what we have.
Agreed — and far as I am concerned the right coach matters more than what team he inherits or how any one of them does. Think he is building something that players will flock too for reasons other than South Beach.
Definitely. The future is bright but we need a complete overhaul and Im not sure how many agree with that inside the organization. This group is actually holding the coach back for once. Most of them have hit their ceiling IMO. Some of the others seem uninterested in ever hitting theirs as well. Not a good combo.
I am not sure about the complete overhaul cause the team is young and we are in good shape cap-wise. I will trust in Gase to figure out whether we are ready for the push or just need to trim the older stars to get ready for when the time is right.
This team is just learning how to win, they will get better at it. I think it was unrealistic to expect them to not lose a game the rest of the year, so here we are. Playoffs? I didn’t really go into this season thinking they would get there so this year is a pleasant surprise from where I sit.
