No way will I go to that game
Im gonna pregame at slatterys early Saturday before those guys go to the game

But I’m watching in the comfort of my home or at a local bar

I really don’t feel up for walking in my door at 4 in the morning after the game

Can’t argue that. They love video games. Sports? NOPE! The weird thing is that with millenials, video games ARE sports. ESPN covers these video game tournaments like sports these days. Bizarre!

    • BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

My 11 year old is the same way. He’ll play video games all day but I can’t get him to watch 10 minutes of phins with me.

Mike E — you can lead the young’uns to the football water, but you can’t make them drink from it. Not like I was different though. Dad got us seasons to the Mets and I became a Pirates fan……..we all rebel in our own ways. 🙂

  3. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

My daughter will be at the game so fear not we will be represented.
She’s funny, with all the cold weather clothes she’s bringing.
Besides a Wake jersey she has Dolphins socks, gloves, hat and jacket. And no fear of walking into the belly of the beast.
Her boyfriend has size 15 shoes just to give you an idea of his size so I don’t anticipate anyone messing with her.

Damn millenials. What is wrong with them? Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday night to me.

    ——————–

Don’t generalize us! I’m a millennial and I cannot live without sports. The only strange thing about me is that I like teams located all over the map.

I’m sure Ken is the expert on Pepe’s, but I think the classic (plain) is also outstanding. That’s actually what I did last time (one of each) so I’d have some leftovers back home to meter out to myself over the next few days lol

I saw the question of who we play next year and I found this

HOME: Buffalo, New England, NY Jets, Denver, Oakland, New Orleans (London), Tampa Bay, AFC South*
AWAY: Buffalo, New England, NY Jets, Kansas City, San Diego, Atlanta, Carolina, AFC North*

So we only have one west coast trip next year (and one london trip) the rest are relatively short trips.

  28. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

We won’t know the AFC north or AFC south team we play until the season is done, but it will probably be the Ravens or Steelers as the away game.

    ——————————–

Ha! Pepe’s is about the best IMO – DiFara’s out in Brooklyn was awesome too, but haven’t been there in a while so don’t know how its holding up.

As for Toba and FF – yeah I’m shocked I won that round and that I’m still in it. And in the end he was done in by my kicker (and that’s with Brees having a truly putrid game – didn’t think I’d recover from that).

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Seems even in fantasy most games are decided by foot on leather. Good luck against the magic hand. I’m up against the most Thundering Herd. Have a feeling we might meet up in the consolation “finals.”

  32. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

McShay has his first mock out. And for us………like hearing the draft is deep up top at TE.
    ———————————-
    O.J. Howard, tight end, Alabama

Lucky for teams like the Dolphins who have a need at the position, this is a loaded class with tight ends at the top. Howard, Michigan’s Jake Butt and Virginia Tech’s Bucky Hodges all look like top-40 picks. Howard’s size-speed combination gives him a lot of upside, but his production has been streaky in Alabama’s run-heavy offense.

  33. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

    ROFLMAO!!

I could never do it again if I tried 1000 times in a row!

I was outside my office smoking a cigarette and there are these shit ass squirrels that hang out in the oak trees (yes I hate squirrels probably more than Tim!) So the squirrels are sitting up in the tree throwing acorns and twigs at me. At first I thought they were just knocking them loose by scampering around, but then I saw them actually pulling the acorns off the branches and throwing them at me. So I bent over, picked up an acorn and threw it back at them and hit one right in the face first shot! HA!!

It was like what the hell? and ran through the tree and jumped to the tree on the other side of the drive.

  34. D's avatar D says:

Bucky Hodges is mentioned a lot, probably more than he deserves. He is solid but there are much better TEs in this draft. Possibly the best one is one of the more under valued one. Jeremy Sprinkle imo is the best all around TE in the draft. Howard is the best pure receiver. Jake butt probably the best redzone TE. Another guy I’d look at as a late round guy is Gerald Everett from South Alabama. Definitely under the radar more versatile Clay type guy.

  35. D's avatar D says:

I don’t see any of the TEs as first rounders though. Bunch of early second rounders through third round. That’s where the cluster of talent exists. I don’t think any stand out enough to separate themselves fro. The pack

Me and a buddy were drinking one night outside his garage and an armadillo came along. Those things dig up the lawn and make tunnels under your fence.
We both finished our beers and decided to take a shot at him. I fired that beer bottle at him so hard and nailed it. The thing jumped and then hauled as ass with my buddy chasing it with a stick.

    • manitobafinfan's avatar manitobafinfan says:

Oh heck no. That I actually decided you were right on … why adjust and have them advance at the expense of someone who played their best week in and week out… Stanger was talking about the playoff options after the season started when i asked about all 8 advancing or changing it to only 6 with #1 and 2 getting byes. Which would have had me with a bye ( i think). Which is also even ironically funnier because there were only two answers to my query. One of which was from Mr Absentee … so i left all 8 advancing .. and got bounced in round 1 , after i thought i had won until i realized he still had Tucker playing and was 2 pts behind me. Tucker put him over. Alas

Someday you have to try Totonno’s. Admittedly, I haven’t been there in over 20 years, but my memory of it still burns brightly. It was fantastic, one of the original brick oven pizzerias, and it was always rated very highly. The old man who made the pizza and owned it only made a certain amount of pies per day, and he didn’t care if there was a line out the door, he would say “That’s a it, a no more!” He would just close down, and he could do that, because it was so good.

Walter football has us picking Zach Cunningham ILB Vandy 6’4 230 in round 1 as a 3 down LB, good at cover and a reliable tackler. Then follows that up with Taco Charlton 6’6 272 DE Michigan who is very quick off the edge.
    ___________________________________________
Haven’t seen that one. When I go on their site now it’s the same it was a couple days ago with us picking a cb but they changed the pick to Adoree Jackson from Sydney Jones. Rd 2 they still have us picking Evan Engram. I like Engram but he’s not a blocking TE and I’d pass on him just because of that.
However, I would love it if our draft ended up as you stated. Both players would benefit the team greatly. Cunningham would probably be a day one starter and Charlton could be worked in at DE with Wake and Branch. FYI, I’m hoping we keep Branch and Jason Jones as well.
