If its ACL he might miss 2017. I think the phins should think about drafting a QB next year.
No need to draft a QB and highly unlikely he misses 2017. If he really is going to miss 2017 then I think you see us try to sign someone like Tony Romo
Bri
Of course I watched the game. I saw it and mentioned it too. That doesn’t mean he’s done for the season. I saw Luke Kuechly crying when he was on the field when he got hurt, and he should be back in a week or so.
Here is a good shot of it. At first I thought he hyper extended it.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000754825/article/ryan-tannehill-believed-to-have-suffered-torn-acl
Kuechly is a MLB.. Thet are way more fragile than QB’s
I know he was taken off on a cart at the end of the game, but if he had an ACL tear, why would they let him walk around on it, to the locker room, and then back to the field? Know what I’m saying?
Even if it’s the MCL with 4 games left that is a season ender
I do, but the damage is done. Can injure something that’s already torn. I hope I am wrong, but I think it’s an ACL.
Cant
Boulder
Hyper-extended was exactly what I thought. Hurts like hell, but you’re not usually done from that
LOL @ Doggy
No way he’s tearing up on the sideline if it’s not something season ending. They must have suggested it in the locker room. JMO
Ken
Not true on the MCL. I sprained both my MCL’s and I was running around playing softball 3 weeks later, and I was about 48 years old
We are not looking at a sprain
I think he’s talking about an MCL tear
Is doughty going to be Moore’s backup?
We need to sign someone else with experience
I am amazed at the medical knowledge and ability on this blog. Just from looking at an expression on a face you can make a diagnosis. I bet the people who went to Med school are pissed they wasted all that time.
Pretty sure a sprain and a tear are the same thing. Like a hamstring strain is a tear, it just depends on how far you tear it.
http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/understanding-sprains-strains#1
Generally a sprain usually refers to an injury and conceivably could be a minor tear but usually just bruising and is usually not imaged on radiography but a tear is usually a more substantial injury and is imaged on radiography. Depending on the degree of the tear it will require a surgical repair while a sprain does not
I’m an Optician, NEVER question an Optician. lol
I’m not a doctor, but I PLAY a doctor on this blog and I say it was just a cramp.
He was tearing up at how the Defense had let them back into the game to tie it up.
I concur!
Watching NFL network they are reporting torn ACL season over
That don’t make Hulk Angry ?
Hulk sad 😭
Playoffs are right there.

New England Patriots 10-2 (AFC East winner)
Kansas City Chiefs 10-3 (West champ or WC)
Oakland Raiders 10-3 (West champ or WC)
Pittsburgh Steelers 8-5 (North or WC contender, but Phins have head-to-head)
Denver Broncos 8-5 (can’t get WC if same record as Phins)
Miami Dolphins 8-5 (Jets next)
Baltimore Ravens 7-5 (North or WC contender, has head-to-head v Phins)
Houston Texans 7-6 (North contender…won’t get WC)
Tennessee Titans 7-6 (North contender…won’t get WC)
Denver lost today..
Yes they did…..to the Titans.
Herd,
I’ve watched enough football in my life to know what certain injuries look like.
He’s not tearing up because the doctor said “Hey Ryan, looks like a hyper extension. We’ll get and MRI done tomorrow just to confirm it’s nothing serious.”
Just beat the Jets! Regardless of the QB
Beat the JETS…….!!!!!!!!!! Regardless of the QB
First Update

TANNEHILL!!!
Yes they did but NFLN board still has us behind them…
WIN OUT FOR TANNY!
LOL@NAPLES
By the way …a nice game by the defense today with back up players.
Gase out coached the Cardinals today. Didn’t we all want to see that?
Defense folded with game on the line
Here’s who I want to win tmrw nite…..just makes sense.
Last time Moore finished the last few games of the season it was pretty ugly.
I hope the reps this week will help. We need Pouncey back and all OL healthy to keep Run Game going down the stretch.

lmfao, yep nothing like this pos defense giving up 14 points in the 4th qtr and then call it a good game. this team is pathetic
This team is 8-5.

they cant beat a good team they suck
Can only imagine what your take would be if they were 5-8.
Good Lord
Anquan Boldin is still playing…
I was just thinkiNg of him at the beginning of our game when I saw Larry Fitzgerald and I was Damned if I could even remember his name till just now when I saw the Lions highlights.
Man its been a long time!
He was with the Niners and Ravens for a while
FFR. I think you might be on the wrong blog….our team won today!!!
Lol
Adam Beasley @AdamHBeasley 2h2 hours ago
One Dolphins player: “I never argued with the refs as much as I did today.” They are legit pissed.
Stanger,
I think when push comes to shove we will want the Ravens to win the division since we own the wildcard tiebreaker with the Steelers, and not them
But we still want the Pats to rest everyone last game too. Why not want the Pats to beat the Ravens?
The Patriots don’t rest their starters
If hey have it sown up at least Brady will just be checking out his new and unsmashed phone.

FFR. I think you might be on the wrong blog….our team won today!!!
Lol
how hard is it to get, they can only beat teams with a losing record
We have a better record than over 20 teams at this moment.
We can only play who is on our schedule.
We can’t help it if the teams we play have losing records, although some of them have bad records at least partly because we have beaten them.
We will play two more in the next two weeks. So what. Let’s beat them too.
There were a half dozen pro Arizona calls today. Not missed calls or borderline calls or mistakes by the refs. These were pure and simple “let the Cards back in the game” calls.
FFR:
8-5 is far from pathetic. The team is not elite but give them some credit
Hulk not understand FFR? How long have you been tied up there? lol
LOL..
I think the Football Gods (Weather) were on our side today. It really slowed down that ARZ offense.
Gase may be better than we thought! 😉
It’s true too, see my comment right above yours. I was really thinking that when it happened.
Ross is VERY wealthy. Rain on demand is just one of the features of the new stadium.
He must have an Illuminati weather weapon
Great win, but Moore isn’t taking this team anywhere, and the D is not good enough either. Sucks so bad because there was a chance this team with Tanny could surprise someone if in the playoffs. Another year down the tubes. FUCK!
It’s true .. it does suck but I didn’t see a fat lady singing yet. We resigned Moore for a reason and Doughty practices everyday as well.
Down the tubes?
Best year I have seen in many. We weren’t going deep in the playoffs anyhow, but we have a coach.
“We needed to get this W for Tannehill,” guard Jermon Bushrod said. “Anytime you get banged up, it’s already tough enough being in that position, so we just wanted to try to fight to get this W so we could be happy and he could be happy.”
Said Landry: “I just told Ryan we’re going to get this one for him. No matter what. I don’t care if we have to play eight quarters, nine quarters. We’re going to get this one for him. I promised him that. And we made it happen.”
Need I say it again FFR 😉
I know the refs called us for holding any time our OL fell down. Steen holding call one on James and one on Tunsil weren’t even close to holding. Meanwhile John was tackling Wake on some plays, literally dragging him down from behind.
Always happens every game.
“It’s tough, very, very tough,” Branch said. “Tannehill’s the leader on our team. But we’ve been preaching this for the entire season: It’s a next-man-up mentality. Ryan assured us that he’ll definitely be in there still leading us, just not on the field. For us, we’ve got to pick it up on defense more and whatever we’ve got to do to win the next game is what we gotta do.”
FFR
Who cares, all that matters is their record. This is not College football.
Moore didn’t took as good as Tanny but he didn’t look bad either. I wouldn’t count out him being as to get us at least one more win, maybe 2. We are going to need the D to really carry us the rest of the way though
The rain was the only thing that kept Palmer from doing the same thing Baltimore did to our LB’rs
“Ryan was still involved in the game, which I give him a lot of credit for,” wide receiver Jarvis Landry said. “I don’t know what he’s going through, but for him to still come out there and be involved in the game and helping guys out, telling guys what he sees, in Coach (Adam) Gase’s ear as well, it says a lot about Ryan Tannehill.”
Rally for Ryan
This season is already better than last season in every way you can measure a team.
More wins, a real coach, real excitement, a feeling that something is building here, something is happening. We have more good players at more positions than we have had since before Cam Cameron. We still haven’t reached our potential.
^^^^^^^^^^^
The only QB to ever start in the new uniforms.
The Jets are going to win this game
Why not get on a little roll, before they play us!
The rain thing, havent we seen that before?
Hell yeah, but I forget.
It wasnt that long ago the other team gets the ball in the rain and we get it in the sunshine.
Who was that?
Hopefully Tannehills knee is too bad, and he’lol be ready for the start of training camp.
Floria just said that the Dolphins told him it was an ACL. on NFL Sunday night football.
For whatever that is worth?
It’s worth the season
Denver’s remaining games: Pats, at Chiefs, Raiders… I’d say we need the Jets and Bills games in a really bad way… I think Broncos certainly lose 2 of those 3.
It was a tough task to go in the road to those places and win back to back games before Tanny’s injury. It’s going to be extremely difficult now.
Even with tranny playoffs was a long shot. Let’s hope tranny can be there in 2017. I’m actually excited to see how these guys respond and how Moore plays
Still calling him Tranny. Man…that’s cold considering the day he’s had.
It’s my stupid iPad spell correct
I’m staying upbeat about this…
Good things do happen under terrible circumstances.
DOLPHINS YEAH!!!
Floria just said that the Dolphins told him it was an ACL. on NFL Sunday night football.

You could have simply asked some of the doctors on this blog.
“Paging Dr. Brian in NY. Paging Dr. Brian in NY.”
Just beat the Jets!!!
Get Brandon Fields out of retirement to be back-up QB
Noooooooooo!
The new Columbo? Thats gonna be as bad as the new Coke!

oh my bad sorry, i forgot it is only the qb who can have bad games in a win
Watching the Giants and Flowers is really bad. I am glad that we did not draft him
See there. That’s a positive statement of sorts. A silver lining. We can work with that. Lol
JUST RETURNED from a most memorable game at HARD HEAD STADIUM!! Gut-wrenching win by the good guys. BUT Tanny being out for the season with ACL tear is an ultra-bummer. Had perfect view from my seat of Cards’ player SPEARING Tanny directly in the knee with a head-first dive! HAS TO BE AN ILLEGAL HIT!!!!!!! But gutless Ross & Tannenbaum WILL NOT PROTEST THIS ILLEGAL HIT UNLESS GASE RAISES A SHIT-STORM, WHICH HE SHOULD!!!
———————
I think most of us beleieved, sooner or later, Tannehill was going to suffer a major injury playing behind this patchwork O-Line (believed–typing error). TODAY WAS THAT DAY!! I now hope the organization realizes that just getting Tunsil was not enough!! We need TWO MORE HIGH QUALITY O-Linemen to increase the chances that Tannehill (and his replacement, Moore) have a long and productive career. WE CAN NOT WIN A SUPER BOWL WITH THIS O-LINE. And our running backs can not have ideal success, either, on a consistent basis behind this O-Line.
——————–
Today’s game marked the final get-together of “Me and My BOYZ!” The group, which at one time consisted of 12-13 die hard dolfans, has been reduced to just ME AND MRS OD FOR NEXT SEASON. OVER THE LAST 51 SEASONS, the names and the faces have changed. But the love of the Dolphins was always there. The remaining members of the gang who are calling it quits this season unanimously named Steve Ross as the #1 reason why they are not renewing for next season. It is the end of an era for me. But my wife, who attended her first game in almost 3 seasons today, has told me she’ll try to attend a few games with me next season. That, by itself, gives me some hope for the future. It was, and is, a day of mixed emotions for me.
This makes me sad.
Me, too, Herd. But I promise you, as I promised my wife, today, on the 300 mile ride home, that better days are coming.
I really hope so.
I can’t remember the last time I was genuinely depressed after a loss. I didn’t even watch highlights last night. I feel terrible for Tanny; he’s taken some monstrous shots over the years, and to go down on a hit like this is tough to take.
My 9 year old’s reaction when he saw that play: “Wow, that’s kind of insane.”

Just when you think our cheerleaders couldn’t get any hotter…
The only thing that is making me feel a little better today is , after initially getting a two hour delay for the snow, my school closed.
Victory Monday just doesn’t feel the same this morning…..
What’s Damon Huard doing these days?
Still remaining hopeful. I know the odds are against Tannehill not sustaining a serious injury, because it seems all things point to that, but I’m holding out hope.
He definitely has an ACL tear they are doing an MRI to see if there is any other damage. He is definitely done for the season

I just saw on NFL.com that Forte went down with a knee yesterday.
Keep an eye on his status as the week goes on.
Tough victory for us yesterday with Tannehill’s injury. I’ve been harsh about his play but I feel for the kid and hope he’s going to be okay.
That being said, I’m sure Gase is going to do everything possible to keep the team focused on the task at hand. The way things are going right now, even with Moore as the qb, I think we can win 2 of the next 3 if Gase decides to put in the 6th o-lineman again and run it right at the heart of the Jets and Bills defense with Ajayi and Williams and put those big rushing numbers up again.
That takes the pressure off Moore to make plays and keeps the D off the field. I think we can have a repeat of the rushing performances we had from earlier in the season and get to 10-5 before facing NE at home. What ya say?
We’ll be fine
Just 3 games left
I believe Moore beat the jests the last time he played them
The jests are starting Bryce petty sooo…..
The Jets are atrocious, but division games are always a crap shoot. However, I’m pretty confident we’ll win 2 of the next 3 at least, giving us a pretty good chance at the playoffs with a 10-6 record.
I hope Moore can lead us to the promised land. I give Tannehill some flack (deservedly so) sometimes, but there one’s thing that I love about him. He’s one tough son of a bitch and has taken quite a few licks throughout his career without a complaint nor injury. It sucks seeing him go down on a freak accident like that where it didn’t even look too bad. I hope it’s not as serious as projections, but if it is, I hope he has a speedy recovery and can be back on the field next year.
there’s one* Apparently I can’t type this morning.
it’s “tough son bitch”. but, I’d rather not see Moore have to lead us to the promised land as much as I’d like to see Gase pound the ball with that 6th o-lineman like we did when Ajayi had his back to back 200+ yd performances.
We need to run the ball and run it again then run it again. Put Young in there as the RT and James at LT and Albert at TE again like we did before and line up Gray on the left as well and just pound the defense into submission
we have to run the ball heavily. Judging from the plays he called after Tanny went down I think we’re going to run the ball a lot.
Piggy, I’m not sure about the last time Moore “Played” against the Jets, but the last time he started against the Jets was toward the end of the 2011 season and we won 19-7
Tannehill got knocked out of a game they were playing against them a few years back where we blew them out. Moore has played in 7 games in the last five years.
That was the game I was thinking about.
I know rex ryan was the coach and we beat them big with moore up there one year. I remember piggy posting a jets fan rant on Utube after we beat them that was hilarious.
***19-17
Hey victory monday. I know tanny got hurt but this is football. I tore my ACL in my 20s and after a few months of rehab it’s back to normal. I bet he’ll be ready for training camp.
I’m excited to see how this team responds and how Moore plays. I really hope we get pouncey back this week. That would make a huge difference. Steen is just not cutting it.
Last play I really remember from Moore was a deep ball down the far sideline against the steJ
I cant even recall if that pass was Complete?
http://www.nfl.com/m/share?p=%2Fvideos%2Fnfl-game-highlights%2F0ap2000000086243%2FMarlon-Moore-37-yard-catch
To the Stej probably!
Last pass I remember from Moore was a INT to seal the game!
But he is a “GunSlinger” so you have that sometimes
he had 2 int’s vs BUF in ’13 when the Bills blew us out 19-0 and Philbin sat Tannehill late when the game was over.
Last play I remember from Moore is that pass to Stills yesterday. Did everyone forget about that? lol
The wounded duck?
oh, the double standards. oh.

I feel bad for Tanny, and it does cast a pall over the win, however, the Jets are next up, and I don’t care who is QB……I hate THE JETS!!!!!! Do whatever it takes to win.
I am sure Gase will have Moore prepared, and the game plan to match.
Lou You know I’m not one of the folks you argued with about Tanny!
But if you can’t admit that was a wounded Duck? 🙂
dude, look at the play. he had a guy coming in at him and was going to take a huge hit.
Oh he got hit while he was throwing it and couldn’t step into it at all!
That doesn’t make the Duck any less of a Duck.
it got the job done. that’s all that matters.
Jar-Head Landry
Dont be surprised if he gets suspended for Saturday Night.
I just watch his interveiw and he said something about playing against the Refs.
You know thats far worse than that shot Campbell put on Tanny so Goodel might just slap him with 3 extra games just for being a Dolphin
He’s not going to be suspended for saying anything
The league only fines guys for talking about the refs
Stop worrying about what Landry says or does
He balls every game and that is all that matters

Of that we can agree on!
This is me this morning thinking about Tannehill.
Moore is 8-3 in the last 11 games he started for Miami. And if he plays well he can probably get a nice paycheck next year.
I just prefer Gase do what he’s been doing and call plays that limits mistakes. If he can do that with Moore we’ll be alright. But, I just hope we run the ball A LOT!!!
LOL @ Lue and double standards…..
But he was going to take a hit….
the double standard is if RT had completed that pass this blog, the other blog, every other blog and Twitter would have been lit up about how great of a play it was by him to get the ball to Stills.
that being said, I don’t think Moore is starter material or anything great but give the guy some credit for hanging in there and taking the hit and getting the ball off to Stills and allowing him to at least make a play on it.
all I know is if RT was going to go down at any time during his career and we needed to have a backup come in and take over for us it gives me a certain comfort level knowing Moore is the guy who’s going to be taking his place for the time being.
Moore is a veteran
He’s very good for this situation
I would not want him as a long term solution but I think he will be fine for 3 games
I agree. We should be okay the next 3 games. But, yes, Moore is not a long term solution
I feel like people are mourning Tannehill’s death…lol
He might be out for the season but odds are, he will back to speed in 2017
After last week vs the Ravens I wasn’t really optimistic about the postseason
I want ton play well against the division in these final 3 games
And build on that for next year
Tannehill has proven that he is out qb of the future
The team will be ready to make a run in 2017 –
Especially if we improve our defense this offseason
To me this injury is not the end of the world
Not the end of the world at all. Now if Gase got hit by a meteor — then the main plus on this season and the future might be taken away. But Tanny will be back — main Q is whether he will still be able/willing to run like before.
He meteor might cause some damage to the planet even if it misses Gase…
I have to agree about Gase. he’s getting it done with this team and I doubt we’re anywhere near where we are right now if it wasn’t for him being here.
The Young Don Shula
Gase Is The Reason For The Season.
He’ll have the team prepped and ready to play on Sunday and with the Jets o-line being what it is I think we get tons of pressure on Petty and force some errors there too and possibly get some turnovers to give the O some more scoring opportunities.
I was thinking about his head and one of those small ones you hear about punching a hole through a roof at times……guess car accident would be the more realistic comparison.
Lou — crossing sports and jobs, but I think Gase is like Theo Epstein. Young, likable and humble…even as he is smarter than everyone else in the room. Shula was at least never humble.
8-5 with the Jets coming up. Win that one and I call the season a success no matter what else happens. And as, playoffs are a real possibility.
LOL @ Moore vs. Tannehill about one pass.
It’s not really important.
It’s a shitty feeling this morning after a win knowing Tannehill is done for the year. But we are 8-5 so let’s keep it rolling. Go Matt Moore!
I like the meteor hypothetical Stanger
Let’s go with a space theme
Tanny and Moore getting allot of time on NFLN right now
