Rebuild makes serious progress as Dolphins trade Ryan Tannehill, sign Ryan Fitzpatrick #staythecourse

Well, out with the old, in with the older. The Dolphins traded QB Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans and our 2019 6th RD (#188) pick as well as paying $5M of Ryan Tannehill’s $7M 2019 salary in exchange for the Titans 2019 7th RD pick (#234), and the biggest part of the trade, a 2020 4th RD pick. In addition to the Tannehill trade, the Dolphins signed veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to a 2 year $11M deal, but with performance incentives met (they won’t!) could boost the deal to between $17-20M.

I remember driving home from work the night of the 2012 NFL Draft. It was Thursday April 26th, I worked until 9PM and I was racing home from work that night, desperately trying to make it home to watch us make our selection at #8. It didn’t happen. I was close, less than a half mile away when my cell phone rings (hands free for you law enforcement type) and it’s Walker on the other end. Walker says in his lovable southern drawl “Mike E, we got a QB!” I can actually feel the excitement still, the hope of a young QB, it brings so much promise. Unfortunately for both us and for Ryan, things never quite happened as they were supposed to, and the Tannehill era ended 3/15/19 with the trade to the Titans.

In 2016, Ryan Tannehill had his best stretch as a Miami Dolphin. After losing 4 of the first 5 games, at 104, Miami rode the J-Train (Jay Ajayi), and that threat of a legitimate run game opened up the offense, and the ball control rejuvenated the defense. The Dolphins went on to win 7 of the next 8 games with Ryan Tannehill until the fateful knee injury ended his season against the Arizona Cardinals. You know the rest, Matt Moore finished the season 2-1, beating the Jets and Bills, but losing the final game of the season to the Patriots. In the playoffs, we were no match for the Steelers as we were drubbed 30-12 in a non competitive game. Could Ryan Tannehill have done better? We’ll never know.

The Dolphins signing an older vet QB like Fitzpatrick means a couple of things. Fitz is not a long term answer so the Dolphins are still looking for young QB talent. S Minkah Fitzpatrick will have to put an “M.” before his shared last name of Fitzpatrick on his jersey for ’19. Fitzpatrick is a capable QB, but has been a rollercoaster the last couple of years. He started last season hot throwing 8 TD’s to 1 INT in his first 2 games for the Bucs. It all leveled out as Fitz finished the season throwing 17 TD’s and 12 INT’s after the 8:1 ratio in games 1 and 2. He’s really good and really bad. That’s how he’s been. He loves to sling it, and I’d be lying if I said that won’t be a welcome change to our controlled offense of throwing in a 5 yard radius 98% of the time with Tannehill and Gase.

I think the Dolphins will take a QB in this draft, but not necessarily in RD1, unless the right guy just happens to fall to us at #13. We won’t be trading up, which makes it difficult, but we just need to improve the young talent depth at QB. If we felt either Rudock or Falk were the real deal we probably don’t bother picking up Fitzpatrick. Whether Haskins, Lock or Jones are a guy we target, we’ll see in a few weeks. I’m excited that we’re on the right track, and each move we make cements it in that the rebuild is legitimate, and things will get better, but again, for the short term they just might get worse.

If ANY of you can identify who this piece of fuckin’ shit is, please call the authorities and put him away for a very, very, long time. This makes me very sad and EXTREMELY ANGRY. 😡

This country needs a rejuvenation. Become whole again and not so divided. Have the same goals, not be so hateful about every god damn thing. It’s ridiculous!

That inner consciousness wherever it comes from. You can be moral without a faith in something outside of reality. That’s part of the problem.

Freedom, peace and love does not come from outside mystical sources. It comes from within individuals. If there is a supreme God being, I think it’s pretty obvious he/she/whatever put the ball in our court. Humans kill and pollute, it’s us. Not some prophecy we get to wash away with gobbledygook. If we truly believe we’re the stewards of the earth, stop waiting for God to save us. So tired of the violent hypocrisies and propaganda. If you’re a good person and we tell two friends and so on we should be good, right?

We’re always worried about the bogeyman. The bogeyman is us. LOL

Second day in a row I saw a video I wish I could ‘un-see’. Today’s has me all kinds of upset right now, more than even yesterday’s (which was BAD enough).

This world today is SO fucked up… it needs a hug.

      I don’t need a hug!
      I need left alone!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, my friend! I think you’re a very good dude, SIR. And I think if you and I were there on the sub with that 78 year-old woman, we’d team up to totally fuck that dude up.

Believe it or not, I could most likely move to Wyoming and fit in seamlessly. Like you, I can’t stand people bumping into me, nor standing in line. YOU, sir, are not alone! 🙂

    • The more crowded, the more hot women.. if You go to south Beach, it’s tough to find a spot to park it’s like wall to wall people.

But the beaches have gorgeous tan and fit topless models, wearing only tiny g string bottoms, and a smile.
tough to beat that in podunskville Nebraska , where the corn Looks sexier than the women

Methinks you read far too deep into my point, which is: I choose to not take the Lord’s name in vain, but I agree with everything else you stated.

I don’t do the judging, so I don’t throw stones. Actually, I’m pretty non-judgmental as far as Christians go (RARE, to be sure). I’d rather lead by example than to hit anybody over the head with constant JUDGING. See… that’s not for US to do (judging). And I find far too many so-called ‘Christians’ constantly judging others… I don’t care for that, either.

    • Tim Knight says:

I call for the lord to cometh and stop the nonsense all the time. But the lord never comes. What does happen is… people working together to make the message of the lord happen. The individual soul who believes in freedom and common sense. That’s what built The USA, not God. A drive to thrive to live free as you are. Don’t tread on me.

      Individual rights
      Religious freedom

Okay… once you have those, what’s the problem? The problem is some people don’t like it like that. It’s not just the left, it’s Archie Bunker too.

  8. D says:

I actually agree with Tim the ball is in our court we are responsible for those actions. Christians call that the devil at work in humans hearts but I’m just convinced that despite all natural inclinations to be moral done people are just self oriented assholes who do not care for anything but what they want. Evil is alive in all of us just as good is, the choice to go one way or the other is I side all of us.

  9. 9-11 united the masses out of fear, the great motivator. People hated Bush before 9-11, then his popularity rating jumped to 90 percent. Is this United, or scared?

I don’t respect or like anyone that uses fear as a motivational tool, they have their OWN interests at heart, not Yours

  10. I did mention to everyone 4 years ago,
that a divisive president wouldn’t be able to unite the country. It’s just logic or human nature. I warned that his dehumanizing minorities, press, or anyone that doesn’t lick his boots could lead to violence. It has come to fruition.

I’m not a prophet, it’s just logic that it would work out this way.

Divisive people cannot be expected to unite,

shaking our heads and watching domestic terrrorists kill in the name of authoritarian leadership heroes , is the fault of everyone who blindly voted for such a criminal.

The blood is on the brainwashed sheeple voters hands, and can’t be washed off.

    • New Age says:

If you think only one side is being divisive, you are naive. If you think one old billionaire who’s never entered politics before 2016 is the main problem you are delusional. The only reason Trump got elected is he pushed issues many Americans wanted pushed. No matter how much the media distorts this fact, it’s still true.

    • This is reality, an authoritarian doesn’t give two shits about us, only himself. He’s been that way 72 years

He is divisive, and hateful, he has divided us, is this true or not, smh

We are divided in our posts, aren’t We? I don’t like the human trafficker in chief, if You do, have at it.

What is he doing to unite us? If I think he is uniting us, You sir, are the delusional one

    • Btw, nice try at what about the other side instead of broach the real subject.
It’s easier to say what about Hillary or the opponents than to answer or debate. Cop out answer on Your part.
Rich boy taught his supporters to defend himself, not with truth, but with whataboutism.

But, only one divisive president, only one, its ALL him.
If You can show Me or prove to Me He isn’t divisive, Here is Your chance.

Hint, Hillary isn’t part of the proof that Trump is unitizing the country, if would have to be something He does himself

  11. naplesfan2010 says:

It is possible to invoke God, to use the word God, and not be using the Lord’s name in vain.
If I say God damn that guy who kicked that lady on the train, I am not using the Lord’s name IN VAIN.

    I mean it.

I am praying to God to condemn that POS to eternal Hell by damnation. I am using the Lord’s name ON PURPOSE, for a purpose, NOT in vain. Not out of vanity.

The teaching or commandment or prohibition or whatever you believe it is to not use the Lord’s name in vain means to not waste such a powerful invocation on trivialities. To not bother God with things that are beneath Him or are our responsibility.

So to say “God damn this autocorrect spelling checker” is wrong because it asks God to waste his time on a triviality which is more a function of my own lack of manual dexterity and/or the kludgy programming that doesn’t fix it. A spelling check routine is not alive, so it cannot be condemned to eternal damnation.

God’s powers should be reserved for being applied to things beyond our control. It would be ok to say God damn Hitler. Or God damn Smallpox. Man can’t win those wars without Him.

You can’t say “God damn hurricanes.” Weather can’t go to Hell. That makes no sense. People can go to Hell. Germs can go to Hell. Wind can’t be “punished” with a “life” in Hell. Weather’s not alive, so it can’t die or live in Hell. God set up weather systems. It’s up to us to protect ourselves against weather. (Some religions believe that this extends to smallpox and Hitler, also.)

    In fact …

(All of the above only works if you believe in God and believe that God protects people and intervenes on our behalf. Not all religions believe that God can or will do that.)

So atheists can never say God damn anyone, since they do not believe in that at all.

  12. Tim Knight says:

New Age, Trump is Ross Perot but got the Republican nomination as opposed to a 3rd Party. He won and now everyone is freaked out. Either people learn from it or lose their minds over it. LOL

This is the best time for a 3rd party to say hey! My voice is here.

    • ElephantRider says:

Bill Weld is going to try and challenge as a Republican for the primaries. Hope he at least gets a voice and people listen…

    • He isn’t Ross Perot,

He is closer to a hybrid of Hitler, Mussolini, Kim,Jong un, Putin, Jackson, Arpaio, Benedict Arnold, Nixon
Most of these people he has publicly mentioned He loves. He trusts Putin more than Americans, smh. We can do better than this and have to in 2020
We need a real American leader, someone that represents Americans, not a scoundrel hiding behind the flag while molesting it.

      • ocalarob says:

        I totally agree, That’s why i’m voting for Trump….MAGA

      • You would vote for a human trafficker and divisive fortunate son?

You are part of the problem. Says a lot about You. Keep licking your daddies boots so he don’t bitch.
he hasn’t made America great again, he lied again

      • But I am curious, why the lovefest with Putin? Do You think Putin is a great American too?

      • ocalarob says:

he can’t be bought like Hillary or a lot of other politicians, the moves he makes are for the sole good of our country not for the sole good of himself like other politicians (Hillary), our economy is thriving.
I don’t care what he says he’s always under constant attack from morons.
you’d think they just say thanks.

as far as being divisive it takes two to tangle, never heard all this crap from rep’s when Obama was in office. when the dust settles good Americans are suppose to support their president.

It’s rather funny how for 240 years we had the Electoral College and now that Hillary lost most democrats want to do away with it.

  13. ocalarob says:

i heard a rumor that SF wants Howard and Minkah plus our 13 for their 2nd!

  14. ORob, it figures Your defense of Trump starts off with what about Hilary, lmao
This is why You aren’t seeing it. Any criticism of trump, its shot boom bam, wham, what about Hillary time
Whataboutism is a sure sign of avoidance of the issues, and shows You can’t debate the hard truths, only deflect

Is trump the president, or are hillarys emails the president?

    • ocalarob says:

      David,
i’m sorry but for me you make no sense at all, you wander all over the place, can’t debate with you as the subject gets muddled and clouded with your lame attempt to impugn others who don’t think like you.

it’s a merry go round that i don’t choose to ride.

love you though no matter what you think. let’s just leave it at that

    • Lmao. You are the one that makes no sense. Any criticism of trump, is deflecting to Hillary. That’s not debate, that’s whataboutism.

And you still haven’t answered why the lovefest with Putin,

      Did Putin buy him out?

The truth isn’t muddy, the con men attempt to confuse with lies and fear. What happenned to the fake national emergency?
What are the real anctions on NK? Does anyone know? Why the muddy foreign policy?

The fortunate son is unfit for duty imo

  15. Btw many wanted to dump the electoral college after bush cheated with help from his brother in FL

It’s not just cause Hillary lost. That’s just more whataboutism

  16. Trump Can indeed be bought, lmao. You know all of his business dealings? O yea, from his tax returns, right? He’s all about the money , he used Your vote to control You. He gets what he wants, you get left with whatabout hillary, smh. You got cheated bro, You have been gaslighted by professional con men

  17. ocalarob says:

I really think that our number 13 pick will be used to draft Lock

  18. Putins puppet *

Third time, why does a president love Putin, and believe him over Americans? You can’t answer this? Did Putin buy him out?
Why does a president need to support dictators, and believe them over US?

And, sigh, Big time hint, again, the answer has nothing to do with Hillary, ok?

  19. I’m seeing that debating with what about artists is fruitless. Take it easy ORob, hope Your next game of golf rocks!

I’m gonna have a nice American breakfast, I’ll pay with dollars, not rubles. Have a great day

  20. BailBondMike says:

    Good lord………………….

  21. BailBondMike says:

“Girl smokes a joint, and the matrix makes money.”
    —————————————————–
That is the way it is here in Escambia County. It’s a money thing. Arrest young people who have never been in trouble before. Scare them into a plea deal where they take 6 months of Pre Trial Diversion for a misdemeanor and have to pay their monthly fees and have to pay to take a county drug abuse class. If they pay out their whole 6 months and take the drug class early, they let them off in 3 months and file no pros in the case. County makes about $500 and they get off the charge. Then the county makes about another $80 when the young person files to have it expunged from their record. I still don’t understand why they don’t collect evidence and give them a citation to appear in court vs taking to jail. I’m not complaining though. LOL

    • The government, and private companies, all make money, cause someone smoked a joint. Justice is done?
So it’s Let’s make the community safe from such petty misdemeanors? Or let’s steal folks money over petty misdemeanors in some states, but not the others.

Imo This is one reason legalization is needed, so governments cant steal people’s money in this manner.
They have too many other ways to steal our money
No one was harmed from the joint smoking right? Except the smoker got smoked

      • BailBondMike says:

Your just thinking with your stocks. 😉

      • Lmao, I’m a stock guru, I had the top 2 performers on Friday, DPW, and SNSS on Thursday 😎
It’s my full time job .

How do I find the best picks, before they LOOK like he best picks? It’s research actually, I study about a hundred hours a week, or more. Sometimes I’m up all night, but I get rewarded the following day.

Thursday I owned 8 stocks out of the top 22.! Nobody does hat unless they are focused, skilled, and obsessed with getting the best performers.

I look at dojis, oversold values, earnings surprises, volume and volatility increases, and best of all, the stocks shortens RUN away from.

  22. pheloniusphish says:

Sweet Baby Jesus…..Why do y’all try to have coherent conversations and exchanges of ideas with the dope named David? He thinks he’s a socialist, but he’s to dumb to know what socialism is or does. You are trying to converse with a dude that takes dumps in department store changing rooms, marries mail order, and runs sweat shop hair and nail salons. Like most of his ilk, he is bitter about being a failure.

    • Whataboutism, deflection, You aren’t smart enough to defend trump, by talking about trump? I already knew this, lmao You are an idiot imo
You are a puppet bootlicker, licking the chickenhawks boots make ya feel good? lmao what a dumb marine

  23. Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Ooh, they’re red, white and blue
And when the band plays “Hail to the chief”
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord
    It ain’t me, it ain’t me, I ain’t no senator’s son, son
It ain’t me, it ain’t me, I ain’t no fortunate one, no
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don’t they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes

The military supports chickenhawk fortunate sons? There is no hope

I thought liberals and hippies were against the war, I didn’t know Marines were socialists , progressives, or anti draft

This doesn’t make any sense, why do eh lick chickenhawk boots? For decades, military people hated chickenhawk s and draft dodgers, now they love em?

    What changed?

    • BailBondMike says:

Total bullshit! You know nothing about how military people think or feel, retired or active duty. Your spouting an untruth just like CNN. You follow to much far left media owed outlets. Your favorite show must be “The View”. LOL For the record, I do not watch Fox News either. I don’t watch any major news outlets. They are all bias and agenda driven. I only watch local news on our ABC station.

    • I never watch the view, I don’t even know who’s on the show.
and it’s true trump is a chickenhawk, and the military likes chickenhawks and draft dodgers now if they support him. I didn’t bullshit you, just asked why the military is hypocritical, When they spent decades of hating these guys before

This is all my question, I never get questions from plotical shows, don’t need too.

I have plenty of questions, more than You have answers.

  24. Mike E. says:

Sweet baby Jesus is right!!! David must have thought that Bill Clinton cared about him, and that Barack Obama cared about him. Have you not learned that politicians care about themselves?

    • I never said I liked those guys, more deflection tho, huh

How come NO one, not a damn soul, nada, zilch, zero, can defend trump without deflecting, attack Nf e messenger, or whataboutism?

Debate teachers must be shaking their heads at the lost art of debate.

And the closed minded sheep that just believe every lie a pathological liar tells them, are almost hilarious if not so sad.

      • Mike E. says:

How is that deflection? You said Trump doesn’t love us. He doesn’t have to love us, he has to do his job, which he’s doing quite well.

      • The Flying Pig says:

He’s not doing his job very well

He’s taking credit for doing a job well

The deficit has increased substantially under him
Als last every economic stat you can give him credit for follows a trend that was going on since 2010

He’s giving North Korea something for nothing – they lied to him abiut denuclearizing and now he’s lifting sanctions

He’s doing abosutely nothing to stop foreign interference in our elections (which shouldn’t be a partisan issue)

He’s allowed Iran to get back into nuclear proliferation after pulling out of the Iran deal

He ripped NAFTA in his campaign a part only to slightly modify its terms and reinforce it

He’s doing absolutely nothing to stop the rise of white supremecy

He’s waging a dishonest PR campaign

He’s false claims every month that ISIS is ended – which is false

He’s embarrassing us on a public stage every day

Hes being inhumane to immigrants, children are dying under him, legal immigrants are being detained

He has abosutely no plan to address a health care crisis except to insult John McCain for voting against repealing Obamacare care (with no plan)

There is an educational crisis in America he has expressed no interest in. It’s impossible to go to college today without leaving with 100 of thousands of dollars of debt and teachers across the country are resorting to striking to get paid a decent wage

It’s a pretty bad job if you take a close look

But really people need to attack him on policies instead of some of the other stuff we hear

      • Bringing up Clinton and Obama is deflecting, to answer your question.

It’s deflecting, because it’s not a real defense of trump to include others names, or attack the messenger.

  25. Phel, since you support chicken Hawks and draft dodgers, You must be a liberal.

Conservatives don’t like chicken hawks and draft dodgers.

  26. Mike E. says:

Secondly, Trump didn’t win the election, your POS candidate, Hilary Clinton lost. Next time find a better candidate, and stop your whining!

    • The Flying Pig says:

      Working on a better candidate…lol

      • Mike E. says:

Find someone who doesn’t want to give our country away for free and maybe they’ll have a shot. Heck, maybe I’d even be interested in voting for them.

      • The Flying Pig says:

I want to find one that wants to spend my tax dollars the right away and I don’t think Trump is that guy by a long shot

Almost any of the current crop of Democrats is better than trump in terms of policy

But I’m inclined not to support Sanders if that is what you mean

    • Hillary isn’t my pos candidate, I voted for Gary Johnson, he lost

  27. Mike E. says:

Piggy – Let’s put it this way. As far as I’m concerned, the far left and far right could fall off a cliff and I’d be more than happy. I think in a way they both exist to keep some kind of odd balance. I’m kind a mixed bag of conservative and liberal, but majority conservative. I think in general I would be considered a conservative moderate. I like the fact that unemployment is extremely low, people are out there working, rather than sucking off the teat of America, which is the way it should be.

    • The Flying Pig says:

      I hear you

My family was conservatives so I’m the opposite
I got plenty of conservative friends so I’m not inclined to belittle conservatives
But I don’t like the trump brand of conservatism at all

I still support what I did years before trump which is 4 strong parties
I think that would go a long way to cut out the finger pointing in politics

I did leave you a long substantive response on some of my problems with trump above

  28. Mike E. says:

My parents were staunch democrats. I feel like the current democratic party is nothing like the one parents worked so hard for. It’s gone off the road and is stuck in a ditch.

  29. Brian in NY says:

Geez, Stanger emails me to see how I’m doing and get me back in on we’e Talking politics? Go Dolphins!

  30. Mike E. says:

Piggy – How does the POTUS stop white supremacy? I also give credit to Trump for engaging Kim Jog Un, he’s at least got dialogue going with him and is working towards getting them to denuclearize. It’s not an easy task, but he’s out there trying.

    • The Flying Pig says:

The first thing to stop white supremacy is to declare it a terrorist group

That would give you the ability to investigate sources the same way you investigate Islamic extremist in the US. This is what the patriot act is for.

And stop them before they act. We can probably stop people like Dylan Roof before they aced like this. People posting white supremacy bs on social media would be the subject of criminal investigations

It’s not so emorphous that you can’t hurt it significantly. We do it with other extremist groups in the Is. it’s time we do it with white supremacy. There is actually a civil rights division of the US attorneys office, it’s an office that camemup in the 60s (think Mississippi Burning) but the focus isn’t so much in white supremacy. We can change that and aggressively go after it. I think that would be very good for the US

He got taken for a ride with North Korea. He doesn’t get credit for looking like a gullible fool. Trump does things for the purposes of theatircis, and North Korea is no different, that’s really not a good thing when it comes to security and nuclear proliferation. He’s also now removing sanctions and that should be a big no no. In terms of North Korea put Trump with all the President’s before him who were unable to stop them. But please, don’t five him credit for putting on a show!

      • The Flying Pig says:

        FYI
The NK sanction thing is new
        This is today

Also, this is why I think it’s great that he tweets (sometimes)
We can really know what is going on from the horses mouth – or at least what he wants to be going on

    • The pouts supports white supremacy , therefore he can’t stop it. Fine people in Charlottesville? I could go on for a couple days with examples where he supports and loves white supremacy. He’s long ago confirmed it himself.

Btw, did u see the back and forth on NK sanctions yesterday? No one seems to have any clarity on the confusion.
The White House started and stopped new sanctions, on the Same day? Who knows what’s what anymore? Where is the clearheaded decisions? Muddy foreign policy sucks, because it can confuse the enemy, and be deadly for us.

I don’t want to die in nuclear war over a misunderstanding from a unfit leader, this potus is dangerous for America in many ways and needs to be removed with the 25th amendment

  31. Mike E. says:

Bri – Sorry man, how bout them Dolphins!

    • Mike E. says:

What’s your strategy or hope for us in this draft? You want a DL or OL at #13 or do you want a QB? Do you believe Tannehill is actually gone?

  32. BailBondMike says:

and it’s true trump is a chickenhawk, and the military likes chickenhawks and draft dodgers now if they support him.
    —————————————————
That is just stupid thinking. You are so narrow minded David. That is like saying if you liked Bill Clinton that you liked draft dodgers as well. SMH

    • BailBondMike says:

If I support Trump as a military man then I support draft dodgers is just a fucked up narrow minded way of thinking. The way you think, I would say you are an AOC worshipper to the point you want to lick her stiletto’s.

      • AOC isn’t my commander in chief, and more deflection and attacking the messenger, doesn’t answer why military members support the chickenhawk and dodger, when they always hated them before. Now a guy egy hated, is their commander in chief, and they love him..

I’m not asking any more questions, I haven’t seen any answers at all to mine, just deflection , attack, and avoidance. Peoples with Weak debate skills don’t get much of my time

I’ve seen it before, it’s old hat now, but have a great day regardless,
weather is nice, I should be out fishing

    • Not really, it’s just common knowledge he is a chickenhawk, and draft dodger, , and the miltary members always hated them before, and some support that guy for their military leader? It’s not a matter of who u like, the president is the chief of staff.

I refuse to answer Clinton deflections, Clinton has nothing to do with why Trump is doing wrong, that’s him.

What isn’t common knowledge, is ,why the military change of heart is all i asked, Clinton has NOTHING to do with it, smh

    • BailBondMike says:

I was in the military for 26 years and supported every president who was in office to the fullest whether I agree with their stance on policies or not. It’s what you do as a military man or woman. If you had served your country in a military manner, you would understand that and not blurt out stupid idiotic comments like this. You must love AOC and hate our military.

      • Dumbest comment I’ve ever seen from You, I don’t love AOC, nor hate the military.
Personal attacks don’t negate the message, it only proves You like attacking people personally instead of debating

  33. you guys would suck as attorneys, lmao. Judge would toss ya with the whataboutism others defense

Yea my client killed three people. But dahmer killed more, so my client is innocent? Lmao. Weak

  34. steveccnv says:

What’s the net difference for the gov’t, if they arrest and fine someone for smoking pot in a non pot legal state vs taxing someone for pot in a pot legal state? In a pot legal state they make a lot more money.

  35. New Age says:

    Piggy,

I think you overstate the white supremacist problem. I wouldn’t mind all of those groups being removed but would not like to see speech inhibited in any way. I’d like to see affirmative action and the NAACP axed at this point if we truly want to go after organizations and policies that only value a person’s race.

Trump has his issues but illegal immigrants dying is the parent’s fault. Don’t ship your poor kid off with a coyote because your own country is a terrible place to live and your people keep electing socialists. Venezuela was the wealthiest South American country before socialism took over. That is the plan I see most Dems promoting today. I can’t vote for that. If the vote is between socialism and Trump, I vote Trump.

    • Its always trumps fault, always.

he doesnt get to shift the blame for his criminal trafficking and locking kids in cages

Fuck Telflon Donnie, rich boy got away with shit his whole life , he gets no unearned hall pass from me.

And btw socialism helps people, Nazis don’t help people

      • New Age says:

        Tell that to Venezuelans.

      • Venezuela is the only socialist country? I’m don’t go for weak distractions, I know there are many socialist nations, but conservatives only point to the most corrupt one, and ignore there are others doing well in Europe.

This is part of the gaslighting, the argument, what about Venezuela, that proves socialism sucks, all the while pretending there are NO other examples of socialism. When they Cherry pick the truth, it becomes political lies

You don’t need to be socialist or Nazi to understand what gaslighting is, and the gaslight is on full blast imo

      • New Age says:

Show me the European country that has a fully socialist form of government. I’ll wait.

  36. Mike E. says:

David – You couldn’t debate your way out of a Macy’s dressing room. You barely read or comprehend the things most people respond to you with. Comparisons are not “whataboutisms” they’re a necessary reference in a debate. When I see your imbecilic posts I freaking cringe at the nonsense you spew and the circles you go in whilst speaking them. Do you think if you say chickenhawk and draft dodger 58 times that makes you smart? You don’t like Trump, we get it. I don’t need to see that shit every time you cpme on here though, so curb it!

    • Bullshit, and your personal attacks, PROVE You have zero debate skills, which You already proved long ago. Don’t like whataboutisms? Then don’t do it! Simple huh?
I realize the truth hurts, but don’t be upset with Me the truth doesn’t fit to what You like, that’s up to You.

Btw You are an asshole to Me today, and I don’t appreciate it.

Please Don’t think I am naive enough to believe your bullshit, if You do think that, it’s on You

      • Mike E. says:

David – I just responded to your post about about debating and that we would suck as lawyers. Why is mine a personal attack? I don’t care whether you agree with me or “believe in my bullshit” Just please try not to constantly come here and disparage Trump, it’s old hat already. Go to a political blog and have at it to your heart’s content.

    • Your on iggy now, you don’t deserve my attention or response, because You lied about Me, and attacked Me.
So curb it and Screw off

      • Mike, you are wrong to lie about Me, and attack Me, come try it to my face and we can work it out, Would You like it I feel I made up lies about You, and attacked You?

Don’t worry, I’m a better person than that, too bad You aren’t

  37. Mike E. says:

Piggy – Just curious, why is it on Trump to accomplish getting rid of white supremacy? Has any other POTUS even tried to take it on?

  38. New Age says:

In football talk which is where i’ll focus, I’ve warmed to Lock a bit. I still think he’s not franchise caliber but I trust our new guys. If they thought he was, I’d be willing to go along. My biggest problem is he shrinks against the big boys. He was TERRIBLE against Bama and Georgia. That could be expected but he was also TERRIBLE against South Carolina and Kentucky. He should have been a lot better against them Lock is a 4th year QB who in many ways regressed this year. NVM, I changed my mind. He’s not good enough lol.

    • Mike E. says:

LMAO!!!! Now that’s funny! Renminds me of Frank Rizzo R-I-Z-Z-O from the Jerky Boys with his “drinking problem”. Youtube it if you never heard it.

      • New Age says:

Been a while since I’ve listened. That cracked me up. ” Truthfully, you’re getting on my nerves, I don’t help with anything”. Lmao.

  39. steveccnv says:

I agree with going after white supremacists, but why stop there? We must treat them the same as antifa, BLM, and any other home grown racist group. You cant just go after the racists from the other side, because that makes it politically motivated.

  40. Mike E. says:

I’m all for states making more money, maybe they can finally address the dying infrastructure issue that just about every state faces. Highways, bridges and tunnels rotting away and becoming dangerous or already dangerous. Cities that have subways like NY need serious repair and renovation. If they make money selling weed, it’s fine with me, people are getting the weed whether it’s legal or not, so I have no problem with legalizing it and monetizing as well.

    • steveccnv says:

Ok great, but let’s not try act like theres a difference for the gov’t in taxing vs fining.

      • Mike E. says:

Decriminalizing marijuana will also save taxpayers money on the entire criminal justice system, less arrests, processing, judicial fees etc. They may as well just legalize it everywhere, but that’s not an easy battle to win, and the far right will have no part of that.

  41. So, imagine, there’s people in this country who are so sick and tired of the Democratic Party that they decided to run their own candidates to defeat the worthless Democrats who are in office and they’re being called out for it and it’s being called “dangerous”. Everyone has their own agenda, but if people are tired of things not getting done then they take action and whether you think it’s the right way to go about it or not this is the type of revolution you’re going to see going on in this country; people gaining access thru the back door to try and take this country back from wealthy candidates who will do nothing more than just line their pockets while in office:

    • New Age says:

I saw the other day where the DNC is trying to outlaw financial support for Dem independents, like AOC, who beat incumbents. You just have to look at the way the DNC treated Bernie to see something is wrong with the Dems. The corruption is blatant and in your face. It blows my mind this isn’t a bigger issue.

      • and this is why the Dems won’t win the White House again. they’re so off the mark with their candidates it’s unreal. they want to run Joe Biden? he’s a fucking dinosaur. they’re such losers and they don’t even realize it.

I understand what this guy is trying to say in the video but when you’re tired of seeing the same corrupt politicians win over and over again it’s time to take action and do something about it. Not saying I know the end result but if I had the money to do something like that I’d do the same thing. And, like I said, this is the type of revolution we’re going to have in this country because you can’t come in thru the front door because they’ll squash it.

  42. BailBondMike says:

Piggy, you are a smart man, much smarter than me. LOL I also don’t look at you as narrow minded, far from it. Though, I do not fully agree with some comments you made earlier.

“The deficit has increased substantially under him”
    – The president doesn’t have control over the debt added during his first year in office. I think it is to early to say for me.
“He’s giving North Korea something for nothing – they lied to him abiut denuclearizing”
    – Countries like NK do that all the time. Doesn’t matter who the president is. He is just the next man up to get lied to. IMO
“He’s allowed Iran to get back into nuclear proliferation after pulling out of the Iran deal ”
    – Iran started that before he pulled out of the deal and even before he was in office.
“Hes being inhumane to immigrants, children are dying under him, legal immigrants are being detained”
    – Was also done under Obama administration but just was not talked about much on the news media outlets. Only became an issue and highly publicized because “it’s Trump”.

Some of the other stuff I can agree with. You cute little pig you!

    • The Flying Pig says:

I’m not very smart. I’m not dumb. But I’m probably avg intelligence,
But I keep informed and I’m trained to make arguments bc of the nature of my career.

He has control over the debt. We just shut down the govt for more funding for a wall. Every policy he puts forth affects the deficit. It goes hand and hand with being the president. It’s easy to say congress passes the budget and therefore that’s not on him, but the president sets the policy out and sometimes (the govt shutdown) is at impasses with congress and he has veto power. Presidents (like Reagan) have run on reducing the deficit and were successful in achieving it. Trump promised to reduce the deficit and it’s increased. He actually is quite the spend happy president. He’s encouraged spending on a lot of things – but it’s usually things like our defense budget or border control, things that are popular with his base. If the focus isn’t on reducing the spending, the deficit will increase. And the trade wars are one of the biggest reasons the deficit is going through the roof – and that’s all on Trump. The tax amendment is also a big factor (albeit I think he’s takes credit for that – and it’s not really anything he had Anthing to do with) He’s not a fiscally responsible conservative (my favorite conservatives) and my guess he’s not bc it’s too boring to get people excited about. Reduction of spending is boring to voters and the media

On NK, I agree with you. I actually said so above. He’s just one of many presidents that can’t stop NK. But he just announced removing sanctions today – and that’s a bad idea. I don’t have any idea how to deal with NK but I wouldn’t make it any easier nor would I do what he does which is misinform people about progress which is not happening

On Iran, pulling out of the deal meant we lost the benefit of the inspections which would have prevented Iran from doing that. I actually like the Iran deal – except for one thing. We unfroze the assets to fast and should have done it in a staggered manner. But there was no harm on keeping them on their heels now and continuing inspections. If we did that and found a default by them, we can freeze new assets – but now we don’t even get inspections

On immigrants. I actually agree to a certain extent. I’ve said it many times here I would revamp immigration as a whole. We’ve been spiraling here since 9/11 and yes, the media ignored it, not just under Obama’s but under Bush too. I don’t think we should be criminalizing or detaining people at all. But under trump, it’s worse than ever. I can point to executive orders, changes in asylum law and general rhetoric to support that – but I don’t think anyone really disputes that Trump has turned the volume up – some
People want that (which I think is misguided). I think we benefit from immigration, even illegal immigration, and actually I think we need it and will be begging for it in a decade when the baby boomers start retiring in huge numbers. I have law school friends that practice immigration specifically asylum and they told me horror stories well before Trump – so you are not wrong, it’s been going on a long time. Buts it’s worse than ever now and that’s a huge problem for me. On this issue Trump would have to do a 180 (the biggest one) to get my support, but if he did that it would be a 180 from the people who already support him.

      Also I know I’m an adorable 🐷

    • BailBondMike says:

“Trump promised to reduce the deficit and it’s increased”
      – Yeah, Bush said the same and it increased under him. Probably the war impacted that a lot though. Again, dunno.

      • The Flying Pig says:

The Iraq war did – it’s the biggest reason

It’s not easy to address – but some one has too
We are on our way to bankruptcy, I think Trump is making it worse

      • BailBondMike says:

It’s still a wait and see for me

      • BailBondMike says:

Our govt as a whole is making it worse. It seems to be never ending.

  43. Piggy is always correct, he is the smartest guy here imo

  44. BailBondMike says:

“I’m all for states making more money, maybe they can finally address the dying infrastructure issue that just about every state faces. Highways, bridges and tunnels rotting away”
    —————————————-
Now that you say that MikeE., we do have quite a few major road improvements going on in Escambia County. A new 3 mile bridge from Pensacola to Pensacola Beach. Widening and improvement of I-10 E from Pensacola. Widening of HWY 29 north from Pensacola. and a few others. Though that is probably state money, I dunno. They are building a new state of the art county jail next to my office though. LOL

  45. Mike E. says:

Lou – It makes sense that there are brains behind AOC because there certainly ain’t any inside of AOC.

    • well, you can say that about plenty of politicians; especially the one who occupies the white house right now. he didn’t run, he was run, just like the claim made about AOC. he was run to further someone’s agenda. he’s an idiot who is a front for some group who has something they want to accomplish.

and he’s not the only one. you look at most of the people in Congress and you wonder how the fuck they got there. bunch of brainless twits.

    • She is much smarter than You, that’s for certain

  46. Mike E. says:

David – Calm yourself – I didn’t attack you, I responded to your post. Where did I lie? You’re out of control. You’re making a mountain out of a molehill, which incidentally is a typical liberal trait.

  47. Brian in NY says:

    Mike,

I think we are definitely in BPA mode @13. Defense seems to be the best option, but you never know if someone falls to us like Tunsil did, as you mentioned in your article. I kind of like Daniel Jones, but not at 13. Greedy Williams would look great opposite Howard. We are going to need help on the DL, so that’s my guess.

    • I honestly cannot see them kicking the can down the road on the one glaring weakness this team has had for the past 7 yrs if they have enough conviction in this draft on the one guy they feel is their qb of the future.

So, I’m saying we’re looking at a draft day trade that takes us up into the top 5 and that trade is going to include #13 and Howard. Tough pill to swallow for some but with Howard being in the last yr of his contract and going to be looking for a mega contract it makes sense to me.

And I understand our cap situation will be a lot better next yr but I still can’t see them having one guy taking up as much cap as Howard would be if they pay him. I don’t think this regime is going to do that.

  48. Brian in NY says:

I’m desperately trying to get the conversation back to football…

  49. olddolphan says:

FOLKS here in Tampa Bay are saying the Bucs are too close to the cap limit to keep their 5th pick in the draft. They suggest Tampa Bay would strongly consider moving back in the draft for later picks that would cost them less money to sign. WELL, it’s “Smokescreen Time” in the NFL, so I’m skeptical of shit like this. But I’d be a fool to say it absolutely WON’T happen. Our front office may, indeed, have a chance to move up to #5 and get the QB they REALLY WANT (HASKINS?). iT WILL BE AN INTERESTING COUPLE OF WEEKS UNTIL DRAFT TIME, KIDDIES!

  50. Damn Mike, have some coffee bro, you know you did what I accused yo off, don’t make me cut n paste YOUR words
    Mike E. says:

Btw You lied AGAIN about me always talking trump when I come in here, either show me the lie or drop the lie. You are being a fake and an Asshole to Me today, I don’t appreciate it.

I know You don’t like Me defending Myself against Your lies and attacks, the easy solution is stop lying and attacking, and I won’t defend the garbage accusations. Ok?

I’m wondering if You would like Me making up lies and attacking You, shall I find out?

It’s not hard to figure out, no one really likes it

  51. The Flying Pig says:

    New Age

That thing you mentioned about the democrats trying to stop people from challenging other democrats in the primary is crazy! The democrat establishment is corrupt – trump is right about that

When it’s said and done I will still support them against trump

    But like I said – 4 parties!

  52. The Flying Pig says:

    Lol Brian

Do you really dislike Haskins or is it just OSU hate

Don’t tell me you would turn your back on Bosa if he was there at 13!

    • Brian in NY says:

Oh, I wouldn’t! Haskins at 13 wouldn’t be terrible, I just don’t know if he’s the guy for this regime. The media saying the dolphins are “waiting for Tua” is simply ridiculous- there’s no way a competent FO would wait for a QB that may or may not be there.

      • The Flying Pig says:

I’m not even sure Tua is the best QB in 2020

But I do think there’s a good chance we don’t get a QB in ‘19 and do get one in ‘20

It’s not really compeltely in our control
But if we really like Haskins we might take control and trade up

But chances are we will be watching the 2019 college season closely to examine the prospects. Maybe Tua won’t be #1 after 2019 – there are some other really good prospects coming to the nfl

      • Brian in NY says:

Neither am I. I really like Lawrence. Cannon arm , composed on the biggest stages.

  53. ElephantRider says:

I agree. Just hang tight and BPA at 13, unless somebody is desperate to move there and the drop isnt too far and gain those extra picks.

    • The Flying Pig says:

You don’t want to trade up? Even if we get 10 elite years out of haskins – isn’t that worth a trade up?

      • Brian in NY says:

No. We need so much help I’m so many areas it would be foolish to trade up. The only way I would do that is for a QB.

      • The Flying Pig says:

Yeah but we are acquiring picks

Think of it as a 2 year plan

If we spend picks now to get the QB, we should have pics next season to deal with everyone else

      • Brian in NY says:

I’m not opposed to trading up this year, I just don’t know if that guy is there for us this year. Only the FO knows for sure thiugh

  54. The Flying Pig says:

    OD
The bucs trade up (or Oakland at 4) is the one I’m eyeing if there’s a trade up

But I don’t think cap space is a factor
Whoever they pick comes in at a rookie salary
    It Won’t kill their cap

The big question is whether they want to stick with Winston

If they do and they are thinking OL or DL, I would trade down if I was the bucs

  55. pheloniusphish says:

You guys crack me up trying hold intelligent conversations with David. May as well talk to a goldfish. They both just swim in circles.

  56. pheloniusphish says:

Lou – You are right about how dumb some of our “representatives are. I was talking Sam Nunn once and all he did was complain about how TSA took his pocket knife every time he flew. But he kept taking his pocket knives to the airport.

  57. Piggy, that’s brilliant observation brah, seriously.

I could say the same things, and get attacked , but You don’t get attacked.

This proves I’m right, it’s just the people in the wrong , don’t like their wrongs pointed out, nor are they open for discussion or research. I won’t discuss others wrongs anymore

I get it, I’m done today with it.

But It’s sometimes refreshing to see brilliance and independent thought in Font format, You go Piggy!

    • The Flying Pig says:

Be respectful to others and you will see it’s contagious

There’s a way to disagree with people in a respectful manner

Sometimes I get heated about these things. But I always tell myself to take it down a notch. We know each other here. We should be able to treat each other as people.

I’m much meaner to random people on twitter…lol

  58. BailBondMike says:

“Btw Let me know when your pasty ass is coming to Florida again, you can make up lies to My face! Ok? We will see who’s real then”
    ———————————————————–
Spoken like a true far leftist. Let’s incite/suggest violence. OMG, for real David. Mike, forgive him, he’s off his Ritalin.

  59. pheloniusphish says:

Looking at Spotrac, TB doesn’t currently have cap space to sign their rookie class, but they can cut McCoy and gain $13M with no dead cap. They have a lot of big contracts with big dead cap hits.

  60. The Flying Pig says:

    Brian
Herbert is actually my favorite in 2020
    At the moment…lol

I think Lawrence is the 21 draft isn’t he?
He was a true freshman this year right?

    • Brian in NY says:

Yes to both. That would mean waiting another year to draft him, and I’m not sure you can really plan for that. Next year is most likely the one.

    • BailBondMike says:

Piggy, I like Herbert but his last season left me feeling meh. The same way Finley left me feeling after last season. He is on my watch list this year for sure along with Fromm.

    • Herbert needs to have a really good season to solidify his status. If he lays an egg it won’t bode well for him.

Stidham looked like a top qb prospect in ’17 and didn’t have a great season last yr and pretty much dropped out of the 1st rd.

      • The Flying Pig says:

        Yes – Understood
My favoritism in terms of Herbert might be temporary
If we suck in 2019,I may be watching more college games than dolphins games

I expect to be glued to the tv on Saturday next year

  61. pheloniusphish says:

Pigs – Yeah, McCoy is the only big cut they can make without a boatload of dead cap. Their finances are hosed.

    • pheloniusphish says:

They have three players with dead cap hits north of $20M and two of those with current cap hits in excess of $20 M. Mike Evans is costing them $20 M this year, but would cost $31 M to cut.

    • The Flying Pig says:

      I didn’t realize that

Maybe OD is on to something!

    • olddolphan says:

PIGGY: PHELON is right. The BUCS’ finances indeed are “hosed.” AS OF NOW, they don’t have enough cap space to sign their projected draft choices. And they’ve already lost 3 of their best players because of this, to the chagrin of incoming HC Bruce Arians. I think the odds are better than 50/50 that Tampa Bay moves back in the draft. The question are “How far back?” and “With whom as a trading partner?”

      • The Flying Pig says:

Well you are way ahead of me

Serves me right for questioning your wisdom. I feel like you just kicked my ass in another game of pool

        😆

  62. BailBondMike says:

I don’t trade up for anyone. IMO, Haskins, Lock, Jones and Grier are close to equal in potential with Haskins coming out on top with his accuracy. So, in my case, I may take who is there in the second or possibly see who falls to 3rd round. Maybe I use one of my 7th’s to trade up a couple spots in the 3rd if one falls that far (maybe Grier).

  63. BailBondMike says:

What I am seeing is the possibility of 6-7 players we would want to draft in the first who are still there at #13. With that many players available when we are on the clock and not really looking at any position over another. I am trading back. Which you will see in my next mock I did. LOL

I may be able to get the NFL Ticket this year. Having a bunch of trees cut down for a pool, which means I should get a clear shot at the southern sky for direct TV. Damn trees have been keeping me from getting it for years.

  66. We’re trading up to get our qb. Just because Grier said he wants to build a team the way he knows how to build a team doesn’t mean he necessarily wants to take someone on either line in the first or he wants to trade back to attain more picks to have a better chance of getting more players and he doesn’t want to use draft capital to move up.

I think he and everyone else in this new regime understand that the #1 thing that held this team back over the past umpteen years has been the lack of a person who could get it done at the qb position and if there’s a guy there they have enough conviction on they’re not wasting time or kicking the can down the road like prior regimes did in order to build a complete team before adding a qb.

I’m sticking with a draft day trade of #13 and Howard to move up and get their guy and I’m betting on Haskins. Just can’t see them leaving things to chance and thinking they’re going to take a qb in 2020 not knowing whether or not they’ll even have a chance at one or if the guy they reportedly want will even declare, etc.

  67. New Age says:

I’m not a fan of Herbert. He looked pretty bad last year. I am a fan of his decision to stay another year. He has the physical tools but that accuracy has to improve. Next year will be his 4th of significant play time and there needs to be a breakthrough.

Like Ken, I’m a Fromm fan. He’s looked exceptional so far.

  68. steveccnv says:

People, especially in the media, make the same mistake every year, when talking about the rookie cap. This time of year only the top 51 count against the cap, so when your rookie cap is $6M, it doesn’t mean that’s what it will count against the cap to sign them, it’s a gross cost. The 7 rookies, when signed, replace the guys at the bottom 51 of the cap, so there’s really only a net cap hit for 1st and maybe 2nd rounders, the others might not even make the top 51.

    • pheloniusphish says:

Well TB is currently only $3.2M under the cap, so they are going to have to do something. Obviously, they will get there. Just a matter of how.

  69. Mike E. says:

David – Really try to get a grip. There isn’t one solitary thing I’ve said here that I wouldn’t say to your face, and you’re getting thoroughly out of control. Stop threatening me, it’s gotten silly already. Say one more threatening thing and you will no longer be able to post here. You are overreacting tremendously to what transpired here.

  70. stangerx says:

We need a sign in this store about politics like the one in Wayne’s World

  71. mf13ss says:

So how about those Phins! LOL

  72. mf13ss says:

I can’t see trading up this year being it’s a rebuilding year. Doesn’t mean it can’t or won’t happen, I just don’t see it. If Haskins is there for us @ R1P13, I’m running to the podium. But I also don’t believe he’ll be there @ R1P13.

    • mf13ss says:

ONLY way I could see trading up? We offer R1P13 and a player(s)… NO draft picks. Perhaps this is where Quinn and/or Reshad could come into play.

    • stangerx says:

There’s trading up and then there is TRADING UP. Second of those completely against. A few spots if the right QB is dropping don’t have a problem with.

      • mf13ss says:

Even trading up a few spots is costly. Say we trade up from 13 to 9… that’s probably a 3rd round pick. In a rebuilding year, I doubt we do that. Again, not saying we won’t do that, but I doubt it. We’re going to need as many picks as we can get our hands on.

      • stangerx says:

Moving up 3 or 4 spots is the exact kinda of move would be OK with if the coaches were sold on the guy. But for me would have to be a QB. Becoming focused on that, and oddly enough cause the chance of being a bust is so much great. If that happens we know sooner and get to move on to the next one.

  73. pheloniusphish says:

Just say no to trade ups. No QB worth it this year. Trade back, get a few extra picks, take Grier in the 3rd or QB later.

    • stangerx says:

A small trade up wouldn’t be a killer, but if the QB isn’t there at #13 then gotta think trade down…. and I would include for future picks in there. How many times did the Pats trade their first for a 2nd and a 1st in the next draft?

  74. Mike E. says:

LOL @ Phelon – Nah, not to soon

  75. Mike E. says:

Bri – Sorry I was so distracted this morning man. Excited about the Mets?

  76. Mike E. says:

Phelon – Are you going all “Tim” on your back yard? Don’t forget to get the squirrels too!

    • pheloniusphish says:

Man my Doberman hates squirrels. There will still be lots of tree (it’s a bit more than an acre), just going to remove about 15 key ones that block the angle needed for Direct TV. And would block the sun to the pool. To say nothing about leaves in the pool.

  77. pheloniusphish says:

    Fear the Grier

    • New Age says:

He could definitely be a solid backup for our starter. With that said, I’m not drafting my backup until the 4th at the earliest.

  78. mf13ss says:

    ————-
Interesting! Imagine what could have been!

  79. The Flying Pig says:

    If you trade up
    It’s for a QB
    Probably Haskins
    Maybe Lock

So I’m guessing the trade up would be from 13 to 5

A few spots ain’t going to cut it

  80. stangerx says:

Phelon — you setting up a pool in NOVA? It’s a lot of work for a short season. Unless you heat (which is real expensive) — you are getting like early-May to mid-Sept. Days might be nice, but gets cool at night….which means the water is. NFL Tix is way cool though…… especially if you do Fantasy.

    • pheloniusphish says:

Yep. Gas heat and a built in hot tub.

      • stangerx says:

You obviously know more about what you are setting up than me, but did once own a pool with a hot sit in the same area. Mine was oil heat though….. and heating costs were a lot. Maybe gas is cheaper. Just throwing stuff out, but do hope you set up so the hot tub can be heated all by itself without the pool needing it. If so think you will find keep that going before and after your pool season.

      • pheloniusphish says:

Definitely keeping the pool and hot tub heat separate.

  81. pheloniusphish says:

Devin White looks to be a 5-year play and trade player.

  82. Signing Fitzpatrick didn’t give the team the ability to wait until next year for a quarterback. It gave them the ability to not have to start a rookie. They’re trading up.

  83. Tim Knight says:

Whoa!!! That got ugly. It’s okay to have different views. Part of our problem in politics is each side blames the other for the issues we face when everyone knows they’re all part of the problem. Find a solution and stop acting like children in a sandbox.

  84. Brian in NY says:

    Phelon,

If you haven’t already, STRONGLY consider a saline filtration system vs. chlorine. It’s so much better.

  85. ocalarob says:

speaking of politics when i was a kid i use to have a dog named polly and she had ticks…she got distemper and my mom sent her to a farm….I wonder how she’s doing???

  86. pheloniusphish says:

I just don’t think Murray or Haskins are in the “top QB” conversation most years.

  87. Tim Knight says:

Hey Brian, good to see you. I hope all is well.

    • stangerx says:

You should have seen Brian NY at the last Fest…. chunked and cut hash brown options at the Waffle House. And yeah in my way trying to get you to show up for the next one.

  88. ocalarob says:

I heard some deal out there that sends minkah, howard & our #13 to the 9ers for #2

    • pheloniusphish says:

      Ugh…I hope not.

      • ocalarob says:

something to think about…if you think Haskins is our franchise guy which he may be a very good qb at the next level….it’s a whole lot easier to replace a CB who will command big $$$ next year and a safety than a franchise qb, safeties are a dime a dozen, there are only maybe 13 good qbs out of 31 teams.

    • Tim Knight says:

That would be a horrible trade for us.

  89. Grier is from West VA, the same college that produced gems like Pat White.

White never completed a single pass in the NFL, it I do believe Grier will though.

Grier does look a lot better than White, but is Grier worthy of 18? For a West VA QB?

Almost heaven, isn’t the NFL, lol

If we could get Grier by trading down, and get extra picks, I’d be alright with it, since all we have is Fitz, and extra picks would help US out in other ways

  90. pheloniusphish says:

I think everyone here hoping for a QB savior this year is going to be disappointed. I believe it will be a trade back and a mid-round QB this year and a big move next year.

  91. Sun sentinel seemingly talking non stop about tanking the season, don’t they have other stuff to report?

I didn’t respect Indy when they sucked for Luck,,,,,, it’s basically cheating everyone in a cowardly way

  92. Tim Knight says:

One of the reasons I hope we do draft our future QB this year is so the tanking talk will stop because then there is no reason to tank.

  93. Thing about Haskins is you can see his development from one yr to the next and even from the beginning of ’18 to the end; the maturity. With Fitzpatrick it gives them time to develop a bit first.

  94. IMO, and it’s JMHO, Haskins is nowhere near his ceiling yet and I don’t know if you can say that about any of the other qb’s this year

  95. According to Draft network, they like Griers throwing ability, but questioned his pocket presence.

Ahem,,, pocket presence was The biggest fault of RT also.

I hope for his sake he is successful,

but I feel like We need a QB with excellent pocket awareness due to our inept OL

But of course Draft network could be exaggerating or bullshitting, because I also see half a dozen teams interested in Grier, which is an excelllent sign for Him that he will be drafted high, and get the $

Every QB prospect has warts, but We need a QB with coachable/curable warts IMO

    • Tim Knight says:

We don’t know if our OL will be inept this year. Let’s hope we upgrade that unit.

      • We have to prepare for all eventualities, and it’s a better than average chance we won’t be able to keep 300 pounders from crushing the QB often.

He will need durability, size or speed, good luck, armored suit, something, lol

I can’t even imagine what a 300 pounder hits You and falls on top of You what it feels like other than it’s gotta be brutal

  96. WalterFootball says Grier can fit passes in tight windows, good leader, accurate.

His faults are field vision, and his long passes die off, those will be picks at the NFL level.

You cannot underthrow deep passes and be successful, defensive backs will feast on it.

Miami has very high humidity and stiff swirling sea breezes, a strong arm will be needed here, this isn’t Denver high altitude and low humidity

I hope We Take the QB with the cannon arm from the show Me state , Drew Lock

  97. Mike E. says:

David – What If Murray and Lock were there at #13, who do you want?

    • Holy hell, I never thought of that. I’m not really sure, but I’m leaning towards Lock because I feel his stronger arm will fare better for us in Miami.

I’m thinking Murray was the better college QB, but Lock might be a better fit for Miami, so I would take my chances with Lock.

And Thanks for keeping it civil, football talk is great!
that’s My plan as well 😎

  98. We have had 2 great QB,s in Miami.

Bob Griese, who had three capable running backs to hand off to 85 percent of the plays, and an occasional play action to Warfield.

Dan Marino was the absolute best by far, and he had the best pocket presence, strongest arm, and quickest delivery of any QB We ever had.

We all are aware There aren’t any Marinos in the draft, but most of the same qualities Marino had ,
    Could be our best guy
