Potential Miami Dolphins 2019 Depth Chart

We have an awful lot of time between now and the start of the season, and considering we haven’t seen anything in the way of actual football activities, why not come up with a possible depth chart with nothing to go on? We spend hours upon hours on potential draft picks, so now that we have some players on the roster, might as well throw them on a depth chart for fun! This is how I believe we may start the season, it’s understood more players will be added and subtracted by then . . .

Lots of things can change from now until the start of the season, but you have to start somewhere. Feel free to pick it apart, this is what I see as possible for now. It gives us something else to talk about at the very least

  1. Tim Knight says:

On the official site I counted 13 LBs and 18 DBs. The weights are off because for instance Baker weighed in at 229 at the combine yet the site lists him at 215. I remember him even saying in TC last year when asked about it that he’s been in the 225 range for awhile and hasn’t been 215 for a couple of years.

    • stangerx says:

225 still pretty darn light though. If the plan is swarm to the ball am all for it though. Hardest about making a tackle is being there to make it. Might open you up to power runs, but not like those teams are making the playoffs these days.

      • Mike E. says:

He’s pretty much a 230lb max LB. I don’t see him getting much bigger than that, I think he’s big enough. He’s a speed player

      • stangerx says:

Yep — and Alonso and Raekwon run like 240. Remember when the hit on Zach was that he was undersized? Think he weighed a bit more than that.

      • Tim Knight says:

Yeah he’s more of a speed LB for sure and one I have high hopes for. He had an impressive rookie season as a 3rd rd pick – 79 tackles (57 solo), 3.0 sacks, 3 PD and a pick 6.

  2. Tim Knight says:

Van Ginkel is my sleeper at this time from our draft. I think he’ll be a versatile addition who can drop and blitz. He’s also a 4 core STs guy.

  3. Rockphin says:

MIke, before I cede the floor back to premature Rosen worship and wanted to respond to your direct question. How are you conflating the two? Because they are unrelated subjects, or at best potentially connected by causality. One can have an opinion on one without having to follow the “party line” with their opinion on the other.

I am a dispossessed Republican. My party has been hijacked. Now I am told if I don’t agree then I can leave. I believe that their should be a smaller federal government to provide for common defense and those (dear god don’t say it) social programs that we the people agree should be implemented. I think local governments should have more say, AND more responsibilities. These were the MAIN tenants of the GOP: First my party was hijacked by the religious right, some of who would “ship YOU back to Israel” and now by a life time card carrying democrat (small d) who only chose to run as a republican because he weighed the options for his personal gain and aggrandizement and decided, rightfully that the GOP would be easier for him, a fat old white millionaire to manipulate into electing him.

My party has been hijacked for those who only worship personal gain and measure themselves by it.

I can and do believe in limiting the Fed’s power.
I can and do believe (and am willing to pay for) in the EPA and protecting the earth from despoilment for the profit of a few powerful people.
I can and do believe in low fed taxes. (actually complete tax reform.)
I do believe in a women’s right to choose and that gay people should have all the rights as straight people
I think “people” are generally stupid and for the best for most that there should be stronger gun laws.

Because I believe in and am willing to support social programs for less fortunate then I can’t be a republican and I should get out?

Nah, man. You say if you don’t like it get out. I say if you don’t like it do something to change it.

THAT has to start with something. Ask the folks of Flint Michigan if we should have laws to protect us from corporations.

    • Rockphin says:

and now back to your regularly schedule bukaki circle

      😉

      • Mike E. says:

First of all, the conflate comment where I said “Did I conflate?” was a joke. I didn’t ask, I know I conflated. My next comment I admitted that I did. I get very angry when people blame the President, specifically Trump for everything. Problems that have been here for decades are sudden;y all because of him. It’s like a hot button for me, it just sets me off. I can’t help it man.

      • The Flying Pig says:

Willing to support social programs isn’t exactly classic libertarianism

      • Rockphin says:

I guess so Lou, but I am not a separatist or believe we should withdraw from being a world leader. That is where “that party” has been steered. Plus there are no Libertarian primaries so you can’t fairly run a campaign and in most of the 50 states a Libertarian has a very hard time to even get one on the ballot.

  4. mf13ss says:

  5. I have been a big critic of DeVante over the past couple of seasons but I really feel he’s going to be huge for this team on offense this year.

    • mf13ss says:

The new leadership didn’t care about your opinion, nor mine. Yet, they saw the same thing in DeVante as I have.

      • something tells me he has a renewed passion for the game and is going to ball this year. I hope he does. would like to see him succeed rather than just be another one of those guys who has that talent and doesn’t take advantage of it.

    • Tim Knight says:

If he can avoid nagging injuries the talent is there. Obviously the new staff believes that when they retained him.

  6. The Flying Pig says:

There are 3 “k”s in bukkake Rock

  7. mf13ss says:

Look, there was a page turn. Let’s stop talking about politics… just a mere suggestion. Carry on if one must, but it’s getting ugly.

    • Rockphin says:

I will talk about what I want there buckaroo

      • mf13ss says:

And that’s fine: I’m not about suppression of speech. Just realize that you’re making ENEMIES out of friends here, on this blog.

      • Rockphin says:

Nah absolutely not. But if you want to be my enemy because you disagree with one of my points of view that’s fine. I don’t have any enemies here, yet. Your move,

  8. Rockphin says:

I’m really soured on Parker. He has slid firmly into the bust category for me. (as a first round pick)

    • Tim Knight says:

That doesn’t matter at this point. He was given another 5th year chance on a lower new deal that he willingly accepted because he knows he hasn’t lived up to his status. His issues are durability and nothing else. He’ not a bad player or kid.

      • Rockphin says:

Yeah, you are right Tim and I hope he does something with this second chance because i root for the team he is on, but I still feel disappointment that he hasn’t lived up to the first round status. my emotional reaction to him will always be the same as (not nearly as severe) Dion Jordan. (unless of course he turns into a stud and scores 10-12 TD’s then then I will have always been a fan 😉 )

      • exactly. he lacked some motivation but he wasn’t a Jordan-type player with his type of issues.

I really want to see what he can do in this offense with Rosen throwing him the ball. Even Fitz throwing him the ball should be interesting.

  9. Mike E. says:

    Rocky Bukkake. lol

  10. The Flying Pig says:

We have rules on this blog
We have a board that votes
If some one is posting something inappropriate an administrator will point it out to you and take action

If that doesn’t happen – post away

There’s nothing wrong with anything anyone posted today including Rock

    I enjoyed reading his posts

We are all little bitches here

    That’s why we come here

It ain’t the end of the world to disagree about any topic with anyone

  11. Tim Knight says:

Looking at the schedule so the first two games are at home against the Ravens and then the Pats. I like that. The Ravens are changing a bit. They’re transitioning too with Jackson at QB and a revamped defense. A lot f their core defenders have moved on. So this will be a unique game plan challenge, but they don’t know us either. The Pats… well we know what that’s all about. Good early challenges to see where we’re at. Starting off against bad teams and winning them could be fool’s gold. I think these two games are good for this new team.

    • The Flying Pig says:

I like starting with 2 tough games too
Albeit I’m not sure the ravens will be very good
But we struggle with them even when they aren’t

      • Tim Knight says:

Not sure they’re the same type of team though. They were always very physical. That might be changing. We’ll see.

  12. Tim,
it’s going to interesting to see how injuries affect Parker this season since he and his agent were complaining last year about Gase holding him out of games when he could play. hopefully, he plays thru the small stuff.

I would imagine all the conditioning this team is going to be getting should help some.

    ————-
Again, I’m NOT about suppression of speech. I’m not your enemy, either.

You’re making some very strong statements with a lot of cuss words, which some of us find offensive. No, not the cuss words, but rather how you are targeting those who disagree with your mere opinion. For instance, I don’t care for how you’re addressing, accusing, and smearing Mike E.

My friend, try to be better… that’s all I’m sayin’! It’s alright to disagree!

Fix your water you dumb bastards!!!!!!!!!!!

If you need someone to run a new line call me!!!!!!!

Either that or move to a better watering hole!

    • Rockphin says:

you are so over the top. You know you can’t hear Irony on here right? LOL

      • wyoming85 says:

If I missed the inflection of your written word I apologize!

But I have Kin that cry about “that” all the time!

        It’s gotten really old!

      • wyoming85 says:

And I think that is the first time anyone has called me over the top!

Usually I’m referred to as the crusty old a-hole!

        Can’t tell whether I’m slipping?
        Or stepped up my game?

(Like I’ve ever had game) 😉

    ————
NOBODY said that Rockphin said something wrong. I’m sayin’, hard lines were drawn today, and some things have been said that were politically strong. Again, Rockphin said nothing wrong.

I’m CAUTIONING using such strong political language, being this is a football blog and we are ALL friends! I don’t want to see another divide!

Perhaps you’ve missed my point, Pig… being you are agreeing with extreme leftist political viewpoints.

Can’t we just talk some football, without trying to disrespect political viewpoints?

  19. Tim Knight says:

Piggy, it will be interesting to see how we game plan against Jackson and the Ravens out of the gate. We’re dealing with a mobile QB who is RPO and lives off of broken plays because he has yet to prove he’s a rhythm passer. Keep him in the pocket and you probably win. Let him improv and you probably lose.

  20. Rockphin says:

Ok Wy forget Flint, pretend I used Cuyahoga River as my example

    • wyoming85 says:

Now I have to google that to find out what heart breaking thing is going on!
      Thanks

      • Rockphin says:

        For real LOL

It happened (probably) before you were born. in 1969 the Cuyahoga River in ohio caught fire and literally burned because of the amount of pollution in it. It was one of the motivators that lead to the original environmental movement.

    • wyoming85 says:

Are you talking about the fire in 1969?
      Or planning a tubing trip????????

  21. wyoming85 says:

It happened in 1969, and today you can schedule a tubing trip there!

    Oh I was alive then.

check out the Houston Ship channel during the 100 year flood in 1992 or so!

All the fuel burnt off, and you can still eat the fish!
    Imagine that????????

    • Rockphin says:

just two easy low hanging fruit examples of what happens when “Industry” is aloud to regulate themselves.

The point, regardless of the example, was that I support the government regulating industry to protect innocents from being poisoned so some stock holders can get richer

  22. wyoming85 says:

Damn Judy Garland died that day!
That’s what it says on this day in history!

    Nothing about a burning river????

If you think EVERYTHING in a plant or Jobsite is not regulated by OSHA or the EPA, you haven’t been on one!

If your brake lines burst at home you just go get them fixed right?

On the jobsite there is an investigation, clean-up, and you could be terminated if your service records are not up to snuff!

It’s not the “wild west” out there!

    • Rockphin says:

I am a GC Wyoming. Have been for over 30 years so I’ve been on a jobsite or two.

Those rules were not always in place. It took the government to step in and make them to protect innocents. There are 1000’s of examples of shiftless people and / or corporations cutting corners.and negligently poisoning people to make a few bucks. That there are rules is a good thing.

Yes, Rockphin is a grown man. NOBODY said that he’s out of bounds. Get it through your head that I’m trying to prevail PEACE on this football blog.

Every bloody thing you stated today (re: economics) was a LIE. I didn’t call ANYBODY out on it, rather I stated that we should get back to football.

You’re beginning to piss me (and others) off, Jordi. Let’s talk football, instead of ramming leftist ideology/propaganda down our throats on a football blog. A house divided can’t stand… and you are a part of the problem in these divisions, sir.

  34. The Flying Pig says:

    Fuck off M13

Why do you think you have any right to come on this blog and tell people what the post

    You are trash m13
    You’ve always been trash

You bashed everyone here for no reason form another blog when we started this place

Then you came running back with your tail between your legs bc you had no place to go

    you are a guest here

We did just fine without you
We will do fine without you again

You are the one that can’t handle these conversations

    Quit hiding behind other people
You speak for yourself and no one else

No one else’s judgment is as bad as yours as to let you speak for them…lol

If anyone is pissed they can confront me with it – and people have disagreed with me but they, unlike you, are adults about it

You don’t have the intellectual capacity to have a mature discussion on these topics and certainly not economics…lol

Don’t tell people what to post
Don’t belittle some one with your bittersweet bullshit
No one believes you are doing them a favor with that condescending horseshit

You are a guest here, so act like it
No one had to accept you here after you pulled what you did
And I certainly won’t when you try to do it again

If you want to test those limits go for it

    If not, shut up

But you do have to pick one since you decided to take on this fight

  35. wyoming85 says:

You can’t regulate people breaking the law!

They will only be extinguished by people who want to do the right thing!

  36. wyoming85 says:

    • The Flying Pig says:

He’s way out of line WY
If he didn’t continually act up, I would have nothing to confront him about

But he does – He always does
      And those are very recent

I’m not the first one here to have a run in with him
      It’s a pattern

This place existed for years without him and we were doing just fine
I dont think it’s improved with his presence or his delusions of grandeur

But you guys are entitled to your opinions

I won’t sit through his bullshit though
He’s a trash person through and through

  37. wyoming85 says:

I’ve worked for Bechtel most of my life, and they were always that way????

i love learning things in life. im a sponge and spend all day learning people, markets, whatever fancies the mind.

but i understand toes get stepped on and words slung around, but i only was wanting to discuss issues, not fight over them

im just hanging back, catching up on some work, and i do respect everyone here, or at least give it my best effort, love all You guys

ill be back manana and check on You guys, hopefully the premature Rosen lovefest is back in full swing, lol

maybe You arent familiar with INSY but they were bribing Doctors to push opioids

i am the proud owner of OPTT, its a new company with exciting technology harnessing the tides for energy

they bottomed out a few days ago and i jumped in heavy. now its one of my few gainers, but its starting a long run, and i feel good holding a stock that promotes clean energy

And just like that…the knicks zion dreams are over!

  43. Tim Knight says:

Let’s be honest, all around the world humans are disgusting. It’s not just The USA. A lot of environmental regulations are BS for elections across the globe. They’re not real solutions, but it gets reported as such. Don’t fall for it. Asian countries are some of the worst. Yeah I know… that’s racist too. Whatever!

No one side has the answers and they can’t come together about any of this because of economic reasons. It’s always about money. That and people are lazy. If you can’t find the time to put garbage in garbage cans and recycle properly that’s on you, not politicians. It’s almost as if we try to void ourselves of these responsibilities and look to government to clean up our mess. The government is made up up of us you silly cunts!!! LOL

    • The Flying Pig says:

China and India are easily the 2 worst

      • Tim Knight says:

Over population and despair. Micro-management of free markets never changes this. It makes it worse. How the fuck does some small elite body of government micro-manage 2-3 billion people? It’s absurd.

      • The Flying Pig says:

Well it’s definitely overpopulation but both one govts have been really resistant to global standards

I don’t know if I’m interpreting what you said wrong but I think both those countries needs to comply with global standards or the rest of us are fucked bc they are so populous

  44. Phindog says:

Well the way I see this blog is a bunch of Phins Fans that are able to discuss many issues at any time. When you have a group of people you will have different ideas and beliefs which is great that’s how you learn by listening to other opinions and draw your own conclusions. The thing is that opinions are just that. A good debate always has a point and counter point. Once you think your opinion is fact and others are not what’s the point of respectfully debating when your just beating a dead horse. Oh and nananadoodoo 🐕

The way to enforce the rules is international cooperation.
    ______________________________________________________

China responds more to incentives than to nice words. These tariffs give China an incentive to open up.

    • The Flying Pig says:

I think global sanctions would be more effective

China is certainly a bad actor, in more ways than one
But going about changing that alone is not ideal to me

  46. ocalarob says:

Maybe Riley can package that #13 pick along with Whiteside, dump his contract and get Jimmy Butler

  47. Tim Knight says:

Piggy, how do a few thousand elites in this world ever solve the problem of billions of people without a bias? It’s too much to bear. But egomaniacs really believe in themselves.

To me as a moderate libertarian, is let the free market determine what works and what doesn’t based on consumption, supply and demand. Wages are always defined by that. If you don’t want to pay it or work for it you won’t. That defines markets. Yet we have micro-managers telling us how free markets should operate for reasons that are emotional and not realistic.

    • The Flying Pig says:

I don’t think an unfettered unregulated free market is a great idea

If we left everything to the free market we wouldn’t have child labor laws
The free market once caused kids to work in coal mines until we stepped in and said you can’t do that

      It’s really about discretion
How far do you go with regulation
But IMO not regulating at all is a mistake and I think we’ve gone too far in that direction since the 80s

How do you fight environmental problems without regulation?
A company dumping waste in a river is doing it bc it’s cheaper to do it
That’s a cost effective choice by them
There needs to be rules in place to stop people from doing those things
Profit cannot be the only factor but it should be considered

The question is how much is too much regulation

I think we can preserve the free market and not go “socialist” with regulation governing the free market

I think it many cases it helps the free market to regulate

      • Tim Knight says:

I didn’t say have no humanitarian laws. I didn’t focus on profit either. I said don’t micro-manage human behavior from afar.

The problem as I see it, is too many people want to micro-manage you and me. I say get the fuck a way from me in a “free” society.

The Republicans can’t get off of their religious stance and Democrats think they can save the world from everything by taxing the rich. It’s never fuckin worked!!!!! NEVER!!!! It’s not natural, it’s always been under authoritarian rule that causes uprisings.

In this day and age liberals are not liberal and conservatives are not for true freedom. They’re both authoritarian ideologies. They’re both tribal and support their party planks. That’s not freedom.

Until this nonsense ends forget about policies. Nobody will see eye to eye about anything that progresses anything for the betterment of the American people. The same with the rest of the world.

      • this is one of the reasons I lean more towards Libertarian than anything but even that isn’t the complete answer and anytime people think any political party has all the answers it’s dangerous.

we live in an era of cult politics where people are so diehard Democrat or Republican they can’t see what the hell is going on. both parties create chaos and then put themselves out there as the party that can solve the problems of the country.

but, we never learn our lesson. we keep electing people who continue to take this country further and further down the wrong path like we did with the current idiot in the White House but he’s added and abetted by people from both parties.

and the thing that’s really a shame about the situation is people don’t take it seriously. they look at politics like it’s a sporting event. “oh, you’re just a sore loser because your guy lost” while they stick their heads in the ground for four years until the next election and vote for someone based on 30 second ads or because of what their neighbor thinks.

I got into an argument with Cher on Twitter during the last election. She called me a fucking asshole for voting for Johnson and I said at least I voted with my conscience. Do you know why she voted for Hillary? Because her mother was old and she wanted her to see a woman president before she died.

THAT’s why we’re in the mess we’re in.

Doggie, this is more the reality of life. One of the greatest songs ever written.

  50. Can you imagine if both Parker AND Williams work out? What kind of offense could we possibly have with those guys on the outside and Stills in the slot and also have Wilson and Grant? My God!!

  51. I think it could happen. I’ve seen some on Twitter who are kind of low key rooting for Williams to come on and end the Parker era in Miami but why does it have to be one or the other. To me, that’s a scarcity mentality. Why not root for both? How much better would the team be with two big wr’s on the outside who can take the top off the D and both can high point a ball?

The other day we were having a conversation about a #1 wr. But, think about the possibilities if we ended up with two guys like this.

    • Rockphin says:

while I continue to think of Parker as a bust, I agree that it would be much better for all involved if they both make strides and become assets to the team.

I don’t understand wanting someone to fail in order to be “right”

Even I am rooting for Rosen to work out even though I was dead set against the move.

  52. pheloniusphish says:

      • Rockphin says:

LOL, he hasn’t attended a fest yet so he hasn’t shared his number. (sometimes when you guys are blowing it up during the day I wish I was the same)

  54. Mike E. says:

I just want to add my 2 cents on what happened earlier . . .

At this point, I think we’re ALL part of this blog, for better or worse. We’re ALL guests here to say what we want and to always be mindful to have respect for one another. I think I went out of bounds a bit yesterday, as did some others too. We have so many different backgrounds and different religious beliefs and upbringings from different locales spread across the United States and other countries (if you want to consider Canada a country) (JBB Toba!)

Jordi – I don’t want to exile M13, whether I agree with him or not. I get what bothered you, that he was instructing us what to say and not to say and that gets under your skin. I get it, but he’s a part of us here, and I don’t want him to leave. There are people in my family I could do without but they’re still my family, and I think it’s the same thing here. We all have our quirks and sensitivities and overreactions, but I like our group just the way it is. Let’s just live and let live. I’m not saying you’re wrong for the way you feel, I get it, but please try and just let it go.

    • Does this mean I’m still allowed to be in this country? Can I ask the pilot to turn around and come back too? Lol

I agree we should respect each other, and I will from now on, just wanted to let You know you seriously disrespected a fellow American , Dolphin Fan, and I’m still Your friend

Giving others Respect goes for all, Me, others, and yes You 😎

      • Mike E. says:

David, I said I went out of bounds. Let’s not get greedy!

      • You aren’t still mad at Me i underthrew that pass to You? I’m sorry buddy, I never claimed to be Marino, lol

I know I ruined Your chance in front of the scouts, but The offensive line was weak, and the Offensive coordinator took the day off.
better luck next time, lol. Jk

    • The Flying Pig says:

Mike I defer to your judgment on a lot of things

I don’t want to exile anyone either

But his behavior is time and time again outrageous – I will always confront it.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to let that go. He has no place telling people what they should say or what the topic of the blog should be bc of his own hypersensitivities – which is clearly what this was about – not whether some one else is upset as he pretends to characterize it

The dude consistently does this passive aggressive bs “I’m not upset but some one else is” or worse “some of you_______” bc he can’t handle mature topics like a mature person and deal directly with the person. The rest of us don’t have to lower our standards bc he is incapable of being a reasonable person

We are not a blog with uniforms opinions on any subject
The idea that anyone should stop talking so the blog is not a “blog divided” is insane
Ireland, Tannehill, Henne, Gase or politics – have we ever not been divided?

It’s what we are – people disagree. Reasonable minds disagree

We actually don’t agree on anything…lol

He doesn’t run the place. He needs to stop pretending he does or asking the blog to be what he wants it to be.

When he acts like he has a say in what people discuss here, I do think it’s on us to step in and shut it down. It’s his problem that he has eggshell for skin and subscribes to conspiracy theories on politics, not the rest of ours

The reality is he chose to badmouth us elsewhere and then came here and acted like nothing was wrong – and we all DID let that go. So everyone here has shown that that have let it go – but we are talking about reoccurring behavior and it’s behavior that needs to stop

The fact that you had to announce that nothing is wrong between you and Rock last night bc he inserted himself is a problem. He could have easily made things worse. Most of us would have disagreed with one of you – not said you are upsetting other people…wtf

And we have seen that routine before from him

He is way out of line to dictate, tell or even suggest what should happen on this blog and what should be discussed bc of his own issues when the blog was fine without him just a year ago

And God forbid the fucking suggestion that profanity is inappropriate here. If you can’t say things here that you can’t say on tv or at home – what’s the point?

We have made decisions to operate this place like we do for our own reasons and he is not a part of those decisions bc his judgment is shit.

So inserting himself publicly on this blog on what should be discussed is NOT okay and is problematic. I don’t intend to let that go and I think if you think about like I have you might agree with me. He’s just going to do it again unless he is confronted on it.

  55. Rockphin says:

I don’t think Tim will ever come to a fest because we will all be calling him Tim. It’s like when I go and people try to get my attention. Rock does not read in my brain, OH! You are talking to me!

there is some disconnect between personal interaction and the blog. People will say to each other on here That rocks or you rock and it always draws my attention. out in the real world my boss’ nickname is Rock so I associate the name with him and not myself. LOL

  56. steveccnv says:

Saw a video on Mark Walton, someone mentioned here he could be our James White. I agree.

I dont think this team is so void of talent they cant compete this year. I think it will come down to leadership, from the coaches down, and if done right we can have a good, not rebuilding, year.

If it’s the same type of coaching staff/FO we’ve had previously, then we’ll be picking first.

  57. Mike E. says:

RJ Barrett, the next Knick savior . . . . I’m trying to warm up to this. I’m gonna have to, because that’s going to be the pick, unless they do something stupid like making mega trade for Anthony Davis. I hope that doesn’t happen. I think Barrett could end up being a very nice NBA player.

  58. My jokes are still bad, but stocks doing a little better today, entry points everywhere, investors are only buying the real bargains though, but I’ll take it for now.

  59. ocalarob says:

Mark Walton may be suspended by the NFL

    • The Flying Pig says:

His first 2 arrests are minor relatively speaking
But his 3rd arrest is insane
I can’t imagine that the nfl won’t suspend him

    • I’m Curious as to why we brought him in, rebuild with criminals?

He will be gone soon, but, why was he here, he might have stolen Rosen shoes or shanked Wilkins, lol. Jk

  60. ocalarob says:

i think the knicks fared better than any of the worst 3 teams,

  61. Piggy, with all due respect, MF isn’t perfect, and I have that in common with Him.

It’s tough for Me to say this, but Piggy, You are a genius, I’m sure of it, and MF or many of us MIGHT not be on Your level.

Not everyone of us has advanced degrees on the wall and excellent resumes, credit, etc.

I believe MF, Rigel, is a good person, he just works a lot and is maybe has a right to some personal privacy, like not really trying to judge his mental capacity against You.

One thing I have learned in life, is intelligence is great, but what’s in the heart, is greater,
And I have learned to forgive along the way when others aren’t perfect, because life is too short to hold petty grudges.

Not everyone here is an economic expert, and it may seem like they are or aren’t intelligent. But bear n Mind, that’s not their job, Ask them a Question about Miami and all of a sudden their an Einstein
I am not implying MF isn’t smart, I’m just saying he probably doesn’t have an economics major like some might have.
Everyone has something for us, I have learned things in life from a variety of people from all different backgrounds, and all have special talents, even if I don’t know it

I have special talents no one knows of, and You guys are the same too.

I had a employee one time, he was like one iq above a vegetable, I tried to work with him, but, lmao

But I also learned one of my MOST important things I have ever learned in life from HIM

“Don’t let the highs get You too High, and Don’t let the Lows get You too low”

Damn good advice, everyone’s a genius in their way, maybe not our way

I’m asking can You please give MF another chance to make things right, I’m thinking He will

It’s Your call My Freind, and thanks for listening

  62. Mike E. says:

Jordi – I agree 100% that he did overstep telling people here what to do. He shouldn’t be saying things like that. I understand why that ruffles your pork. I don’t think it’s malicious though, I think from his perspective he’s trying to not have this thing blow up into something really bad. It’s like a guy who steps in trying to break up a fight and pushes one guy out of the way with too much gusto and then ends up in a fight himself. I wish he wouldn’t speak like that, but again, at least from my POV, I don’t think he says it from a place of authority, just his way of trying to cap it. Hopefully, from here on, he won’t do that again after reading all of this.

I do apologize to anyone I insulted yesterday. Trump bashing is a hot button for me, it’s so in vogue and so easy. The world was such a better place 4 years ago with Obama, if only we could get back to that. It’s just so terrible now. LOL

    • I agree with what You say about MF, I have talked with him on the phone for quite a bit, not recently , but my gut feeling is he has a good heart, just might not come off that way.

His heart, and love for others isn’t always reflected in his posts.

Remember when we met at the fest the very first time, and everyone seemed so different than their online persona? Lmao. Was crazy huh

He is the same as us, in person, he is a little different than his online persona, that’s what I feel

      • Mike E. says:

Yeah, I don’t think he does it with bad intent, but it does come off as authoritarian, so I can understand why people don’t like it.

  63. Rockphin says:

Like anyone who puts on the Dolphins uniform I am going to root for him to succeed, but I watched some surveillance video of an altercation that Mark Walton was involved in and thought man what a dirt bag! I don’t want to be around people who act like that and don’t want to excuse it because he runs fast. He can change so I will give him that opportunity (LOL Like I have any say) but what a dick!

    • stangerx says:

But that is why you get a 4th round draft pick one year later for peanuts — says a guy who at one point thought Cecil Collins was the steal of the century.

  64. Ken says:

My $.02 if it is worth even that. No one here has a right to tell another blogger what they can and cannot post. If someone wants to post political topics that is fine. Just realize that you might make someone’s blood boil in the process. Likewise try to keep your discussions respectful of one another’s opinions. This is pretty basic stuff and the moderators shouldn’t have to play kindergarten cops. I get why Pig was upset. It was not because of any opinion stated by MF13 but it was because was trying to dictate what can and cannot be said on this blog. With all due respect to those involved in yesterday’s conversation the only people who can do that are the moderators. To that end our policy has been straightforward. You can post whatever you want just don’t be an asshole to other people. Hulk now return to work

Some things he was dumb as hell, WOW

    But in his field, tops

  67. ocalarob says:

don’t pout knicks fans at this point it looks as if Durant is headed your way and is recruiting other players to join him.

    • Mike E. says:

I’m not pouting. What I rail against the most is tearing down all the good they’ve done, acquiring future draft capital and young talented players on the cheap and trade all that for Anthony Davis. They’re in a great place cap wise and have a bunch of young players that if they can weed out the right ones, a couple of them may be good complimentary players. Get Durant and either Kemba or Kawhi and my goodness, the team is transformed.

  68. ocalarob says:

looks like Fitzpatrick took the first snaps with the first team and logged more snaps than rosen with that unit

  69. When MF called Me out for one of my bad jokes, I thought it was a little overbearing at the time because it seemed so benign not Me, but it wasn’t benign to Him.
My bad joke didn’t consider his feelings, so in retrospect, I was wrong and he was right I shouldn’t be disrespecting people , even if it wasn’t a great deal of shade tossed

  70. stangerx says:

My main thought after reading yesterday’s posts was we have got real fat and lazy about our flame wars. Not one talk about a first fight at the Fest, allusion to packing a weapon….. not even a throat bunch. Ah the old days. 🙂

I guess I’ll weigh in on Pig’s stance.

In an online community, the unfettered expression of ideas is the only true measure of freedom and acceptance. The capacity to tolerate, if not understand, opinions, ideas, and ideologies differing from our own is what should set us apart. Once lines are drawn on what is and what isn’t ok to talk about, evolution is constricted and stagnation becomes inevitable. Either everything should be on the table for discussion or nothing should be. The participants determine the conversation and the intellectual growth lies therein.

If a conversation makes you uncomfortable, whether due to content, your own visceral responses, or fear of your own responses, then remove yourself from the conversation.

So fuck off, Hulkster. Watch your language, Mike. Drake rules, Rob. Go Blues. and

This backhanded slight will not stand. I was going to cook up some nice ribeye steaks this weekend. Definitely going with babyback ribs now. I can only hope it’s someone you know and care about. Go Blues!!

  77. Mike E. says:

No reaction to the Jets firing their GM? WTF!!!! C’mon Dolphins fans, wake up! Gase is the Interim GM. How will they keep 53 on the roster when he’s going to cut and trade away half the team?

  78. Mike E. says:

Adam Gase is the NY Jets interim GM

Just let that sink in for a few minutes. The Jets let Maccagnon do the draft and handle free agency spending, and now have handed over the GM reins to one Adam Gase, who traded and cut more players in Miami than he developed!

  79. wyoming85 says:

If you fuckers would just learn to agree with me, Life would get so much easier for you! 😉

  80. CavalierKong says:

So reports surface that Gase and the GM aren’t getting along, and not too long after, the GM is fired. Can Gase get along with anybody? He’s starting to remind me of Jim Harbaugh, except without the results, lol.

  81. Mike E. says:

Stanger – Did they not observe Gase and his issues with personnel in Miami? I mean c’mon man, this is high level shit we’re talking about. They basically said he has no say over over the 53 early on when he was hired as to take the pressure off of him. Now he has that and more. It’s ridiculous, and I can only hope that Gase blows up the team.

    • stangerx says:

Guessing Gase delivered a “it’s him or me” thing. And it worked. Team better show it now — cause he probably cut into his term there unless the team does really well.

    • CavalierKong says:

Well, the smug prick has everything he could have wanted and more. He has complete control. Sure, when things go to shit, he’ll blame everyone around him, taking no responsibility himself, but hey, that is what you get to do when you run a country, whoops, I mean a football team all by yourself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
      😉

  82. wyoming85 says:

    Why are we complaining?
It’s not like anyone here wants the Stej to improve!

  83. stangerx says:

Only reason Gase is not our head coach right now is cause when he should have been humble he pulled attitude with Ross. Guess that worked for him 2nd time around.

  84. Randy says:

Gase appears to be a control freak and anybody who doesn’t see things his way is expendable. That’s why I was always dubious about the players he “let go” here. People blamed the “malcontent players”. I never bought it was on the players. Gase gets rid of people he can’t get along with.

  85. Randy says:

    stanger,
I thought Gase wasn’t here anymore because he never turned Tannehill into a good QB? 😏

  86. So Gase didn’t want Bell at all. Going to be interesting seeing a guy they signed for all that money sitting on the sidelines because Crazy Eyes doesn’t want to play him.

  87. And Gase was pissed because he said the story about a disagreement was a lie. This guy is so unprofessional.

    • ElephantRider says:

I really was happy when we got Gase. The “smartest guy in the room”…..offensive guru…..blah blah….

I thought it was ok to be a bit quirky…..

This dude is nuttier than a baby ruth and more psycho than Harbaugh.

I’m glad we have a coach that isn’t a guru at anything

  88. Rockphin says:

So “it really pissed him off” that false report of him not getting along with the GM, but now the GM is gone. Hmmmmmmm
