Most of us have seen the first preseason game against Atlanta. If you have, you saw quite the performance from rookie undrafted WR Preston Williams. I was watching NFLN this morning and they were doing this segment where Burleson, Schrager and Brandt each pick the most impressive preseason performance from week 1. I’m thinking there’s no way any of these guys pick someone from the Dolphins, especially since Schrager didn’t pick one. Burleson chose S Taylor Rapp of the Los Angeles Rams. Schrager, who seems to like the Dolphins chose Browns LB Mack Wilson and I was convinced no Miami Dolphins player could possible get an honor. To my surprise, Kyle Brandt chose Miami Dolphins WR Preston Williams. He was gushing about his talent and how refined he looked. Williams finished with 4 catches for 97 yards and a crazy 24.3 YPR average. It was also the quality and difficulty of his catches , a one hand grab down the sidelines, a toe tapping marvel on the sidelines, going up over defensive backs, just a great looking day for a potential impact receiver. Could he be what Devante Parker was supposed to be? At 6’5 218 his size alone is impressive. At his pro day he ran 4.53 and with a 31.5″ vertical and 116″ broad jump. Nothing spectacular. Just turn on some practice footage or game tape if you want to see what he is.
There’s a long way to go before it’s a given that Preston Williams is actually on the 53 man roster when the season begins, but he’s turning heads every day, not just in the games but in practice as well. In yesterday’s scrimmage with the Buccaneers, Wilson made some pro moves and shook the Bucs DB like he didn’t belong on the same playing field with him. He’s working hard to make the roster and it looks like not only will he make the roster but he might actually be a difference maker. The last big investment we made in a WR was none other than former 1st RD pick in 2015 Devante Parker, 14th overall. Williams is taking the path of former Miami Dolphins WR Davone Bess. The Dolphins signed Bess as an UDFA in 2008. Not only did Bess make the roster but he caught 54 passes for 554 yards and 1 TD. I’m not comparing Williams to Bess in any other way other than the fact that were both UDFA’s who can make an impact. Williams ceiling is much higher than Davone Bess’ simply because Williams has the size to and athletic ability to be a real difference maker, and he plays on the outside as opposed to being more of a slot/possession receiver that Bess was.
Preston Williams basically played one full season of college ball, playing last season at Colorado State. He transferred from Tennessee in his Junior year and didn’t play until his Senior year, last year. What a season William’s had though. 96 receptions for 1345 yards and 14 TD’s. That elite production. Williams was not invited to the NFL Combine because of an incident in which he was charged for misdemeanor charges of tampering and harassment for allegedly shoving a woman in a domestic dispute.. Much like the luck of having Laremy Tunsil fall into our hands, this could end up being another gift from the NFL Gods. Williams could have easily been a 2nd RD pick and there isn’t a shot in hell we would be selecting a WR in the 2nd or even the 3rd RD last year. Getting Williams to sign here was a great boon, but give the rest of the of the credit to Preston Williams who is working his butt off to be on this team. Besides, don’t the football Gods owe us for Yatil Green?

GO DOLPHINS!!
#staythecourse

Devante Parker banged up again, smh
#inflamedhairfollicle
MIke E — didn’t realize Preston played so little in college. Should make that ceiling even higher.
Almost tempted to get his jersey, but then most folks would just think it an old Ricky one.
Ricky Williams #34? I think people will know #82 isn’t Ricky. lol
When I walk around at least just read the names. So maybe not most folks….. just ones like me. 🙂

Man I hope Williams turns out to be a stud for us. We are due, past due, for some good luck like getting a #1 WR as a UDFA!
Nice write up as always Mike E
Thanks!
My pleasure ER! Thanks bud!
Rosen and Williams…… the next Marino and Duper? Way it worked then at least.
so you learn something new everyday. Kyle Brandt is Gil Brandt’s grandson. I’m watching the game right now. It sure is nice to have some things about this team to be excited about and not just on paper. I hope PW can be the real deal when the games count.
So in summary Mike, are you saying that Preston Wilson is…
…a samurai
(A gust of wind sweeps through the blog and carries Piggy away)
…sorry…I farted….
🐖 💨
We can only hope. I don’t want to give him any labels quite yet. I just hope he can be a legit player for us, that would be awesome.
It’s easy to identify samurai though
Look for the katana
SB – I can’t actually find anything to verify that Kyle is Gil’s grandson but I thought I had either heard or read that somewhere. Could be misinformation. If so, I’ll be forced to delete that from this article.
It’s the only thing I read in the whole article so you better be on your P’s and Q’s. lol

“I definitely think ,from a professional matter, the right thing to do would have been to reach out to Ross first,”
Glad he sees that now. That’s a step in the right direction. At least he’ll understand when they trade his ass! lol

I saw that, but did you read the replies? Some guy told Kyle to stop the Grandpa joke thing or Gil will block you. Not sure if it’s just funny banter back and forth. Can’t find anything anywhere that confirms he is Gil’s grandson.
I just went back and saw that. LOL so who knows? Wiki doesn’t say anything about the relationship.

Bummer! Hope it doesn’t linger!
At least Ballage has been flashing big time!
I was reading some of the tweets from practice today and yesterday and was like “is that guy on the Dolphins or the Bucs? Who is that? I never heard of some of the players that were flashing these past few days.

Kalen Ballage has looked like a monster today, with Kenyan Drake sidelined. Size, speed, power. #miamidolphins
That is interesting. I like Ballage for that very same size, speed and power. But in terms of being elite do worry about his burst and especially juke. My visual image of him is a train running down the tracks.
Rock – It’s possible that Kyle doesn’t want to make it known that he’s his grandson so people think he got these NFL gigs due to nepotism. The other more likely reason is that he’s really not related. 🙂
This could be the last year for Harris and the first year we can subjectively say he is a busts
Losers:
DE Charles Harris
The frustrating start to Charles Harris’ career hasn’t been shaken. As a matter of fact, it has been the exact opposite. Harris played the fifth-most snaps of any Dolphins defender (38) against Atlanta in Week 1 of the preseason and came away with one tackle (40 yards downfield, mind you) to show for it.
The Dolphins’ reaction was to demote Harris to the second-string defense, elevating Nate Orchard to play above him.
I think we’ll be saying goodbye to both Harris and Parker at the end of the year.
Good write, Mike. I heard that Kyle Brandt is Gil’s grandson. I think it was even mentioned on GMF.
I thought I heard it too, but there is nowhere to find any confirmation, so I took it out. Not that anyone cares who might read this, but if it’s wrong it shouldn’t be here.
Winners:
CB Xavien Howard
Howard got “big boy’ed” by WR Mike Evans on an early rep and in another one on one rep got cooked by WR Chris Godwin on a double move in off coverage. But then the team drills started. By the end of the day, Howard had multiple interceptions of Bucs starter Jameis Winston, including one that would have been run back the other way as a defensive touchdown.
And of course, Omar is in the fray of things… SMH.
Family members need to stay out of this. Coaches want to see what players can and can’t do.
but but but that braided coconut insulted my boy!
Minkah’s Mom has something in common with this one.

Ugh, not a very mature way to handle things (as visions of Vontae Davis run through his head).

It pisses me off how many whiffs we have on first and second round picks! The only round we seem to do better than average in is the 5th round. (at least we have had a bunch of starters we picked in the 5th, could just be because our 1-4 round picks suck so bad)
It’s frustrating, and a major reason we’ve been mired in mediocrity for years.
Coach has that look. Like my dad used to have. Don’t piss that man off look.
LOL
Quote of the Day
“He’s got to play with better pad level, that’s for sure,” Flores said, critiquing rookie defensive tackle Christian Wilkins’ performance during the two joint practices. “I hope he reads this. Somebody make sure that he reads that. He’s got to play with better pad level. … The early-down stuff is good. The pass rush, his technique has got to get a little bit better. Again, [lowering] pad level would help him.”
Coach is a funny guy sometimes
(but don’t piss him off, he has that look)
Non – Quiz of the day, guess who it was that got Minkah’s Mom (or maybe Dad) to pop out?
It really is just silly drama. But that’s what you get from the information age. Just like Rosen’s facial expressions being discussed. LOL

Yeah, I hear ya. Vontae was grandma dependent, Minkah was just backing his mom up. Just not the best way to handle it all around.
Minkah has been playing SS because Jones has been out. What Omar said was no big deal, that’s his job to report what he’s seeing. Minkah’s parents need to stay out of it or this is the kind of drama you get.
McDonald has also missed time.

The difference is, years ago no one would have ever heard this stuff, it’s just a social media driven world, which really sucks. People need to learn to keep important shit to themselves. People who think negatively tend to think everyone else does the same and so they run with the negative viewpoint. It’s like when I was complimenting ballage by calling him a better version of Daniel Thomas and so people perceived that as a slight and went in defense mode.
You aren’t fooling me you jerk
I know you still miss Daniel Thomas
I understand your point, but your choice of using someone synonymous with failure here is a poor example. If I said you were a better looking Pee wee Herman, how would you respond?
I don’t see the big deal about Minkah’s mother or parents defending him when someone says something negative. It’s what parents do when the feel their baby is threatened or treated badly. Might be fun to see someone slap Omar around.

The way I’m seeing the timeline, it was Omar who shot first… and THAT led to Minkah’s mother chiming in. After that, all hell broke lose.
Omar has got to tone it down, but we already know this.
Omar will be the very first to tell everybody that camp reps don’t mean squat, but then tell everybody with his ‘all seeing eye’ that camp reps mean everything: he’s a walking, talking contradiction.
Omar doesn’t always say things in a professional way, but all he said was something to the effect of “sorry to say but Minkah isn’t playing well”. Lots of players get criticized by the media for a poor performance whether in practice or games. It’s part of the business. It’s not personal except when he comes up with stupid nicknames like New Bae for Rosen. That shit isn’t necessary.

The big deal is you don’t want your mother criticizing your employer publicly no matter what industry you work in. She wasn’t just defending her son she was questioning the coaches decision to play him at strong safety I can guarantee you they know a lot more than she does. The the Bill Parcells quote above is apropos
You also have to consider the source, Omar, and take his opine for the shit its worth.
He then made Minkah a top performer because he had a pick. LOL
I actually don’t want my mother commenting on how I do my job…lol
Steve,
I am a better looking peewee herman so I wouldn’t have a problem with it.
Also, you’re exhibit A of who I was talking about.
Yeah, I know I made a comment about it, even though I liked DT3 and backed him up while he was on the team, but once gone…
Wasn’t DT3 the guy that literally broke a jets DB’s ankle?
Yes Revis.
Well now, I didn’t say Minkah would like what his mother said or whether or not it should have been said. My point is more that a parent, particularly a mother, is going to defend their child. It’s making a big deal out of nothing. She didn’t go all out on a Miko Grimes rant. Non issue.
I get it Herd and I agree
I’m just porking around
Competition! That’s how everyone get better.
I think it’s safe to say Williams is going to make the team. He’s been impressive since OTAs, TC and the PS. It wasn’t just one or two plays.

Dear God I agree with Omar Kelly!
Old news from Old Bae. This is phase one of the transition of this team. Nobody is expecting a contender this year. It’s also still early in the PS but Mr. Negative can’t come up with anything original. So he figures he’ll just piss on everything.
It’s as if this is his first year covering the sport. We’re not even practicing and playing at full strength with some seasoned vets out. We’ll get a better feel after 3, 4 or 5 RS games. Writing this article before the 2nd PS game is amateur hour.
there are 32 teams in the NFL and 12 make the playoffs, does that mean 20 teams are bad? not to mention this is a new regime with different offense and defense a huge player turnover as well.
It’s very safe and easy to predict we wont be that good,
I’m hoping for some early success due to the heat factor, 4 of the first 5 games are at 1pm at home! where we have a big advantage.
the S FL heat!
Also not really having much valuable film on this current team for opponents. But it still comes down to a lot of individual battles. Lots of people saying we’ll be the worst or one of the worst teams in the league. So why is there any panic? It’s already projected. A good season would be the surprise.
In the 4 qtr individual battles will favor the ones who practiced in the S FL heat
We’ll see. It sounds good but plays have to be made.
We go as the OL goes, if they can figure it out…
I don’t see an issue on D or QB.
MRS. OD got some good and not so good news today. NOT SO GOOD: Much of the area of her lumbar spine has problems that probably are NOT correctable. GOOD: a new fracture of L-1 can be helped by a simple incision thru which the surgeon can surround the fracture site with a form of cement which will stabilize the area and relieve the #1 source of her pain (and NO, I’m NOT the #1 source of her pain!). This procedure has you in and out of the hospital the same day, so she’ll know almost immediately how much it will help her when she has it on Aug. 28. If my beloved can get back to where she was a few weeks ago, life will be MUCH better for her. And for me, too!

Dolphins not viewing Rosen as a long term QB. From Arizona Sports, based on a couple of cherry picked stats.
Head coach Brian Flores has said that Rosen is struggling with fundamental things such as “getting guys in and out of the huddle,” decision-making and body language.
Are they trying to validate the awful trade they made or what?
LOL
Based on reports by Arizona Sports and the braided genius, I’ve come to the conclusion that Rosen should just retire now, because he has no chance.
AZ Central says basically the same thing. Sure seems like they care a little too much about Rosen, and some wishful thinking.

1) WR Preston Williams has been the talk of camp, and may push someone off the roster. He’s big, fast, competitive, and has even been a force on special teams. He went undrafted for off-field reasons. Thus far, he’s been good there — doing what’s asked — and great on the field.

2) Another pleasant surprise had been the team’s front-line RBs. Both Kenyan Drake and Kalen Ballage have been great, flashing their speed and versatility. They’ve pushed each other. They’ve gotten along with one another. The problem? Drake got hurt Tuesday, will be out a while.

3) LB Jerome Baker is a breakthrough candidate. He’ll wear the green dot on his helmet — significant for a second-year linebacker and a sign of how the new staff is counting on him. They feel like he’s a true every-down ‘backer. Those are hard to find in today’s NFL.

4) It’s no secret that the OL needs to takes steps. One thing that should help is the emergence of rookie G Michael Dieter. He’s a typical Wisconsin lineman — tough, smart, competitive, and doesn’t repeat mistakes. Dieter has a chance to have a long career in Miami.

5) We’ll have more on the QBs tomorrow. What I’d say here is Ryan Fitzpatrick was the clear cut 1 coming out of the spring, and maintained that lead the first week-and-a-half of camp. Josh Rosen has closed the gap in the last week. We’ll see if he can keep coming.
I certainly hope to see a lot of Ballage and Drake in the backfield at the same time.
Think I’d rather see either of them with Cox. I want to use that FB!
Best wishes to Mrs. OD! Hoping for the best!
Rock – I already found your doppelganger, it’s that DJ on Magic 98.3 in NJ. When I saw that billboard not far from my house, I actually thought it was you until I read what it was for. LOL
Get well MRS OD. i’ve been through 4 lower back surgeries, very tough recovery!
Drake out for the rest of the preseason at least.
They said he’ll be ready for the opener. Probably keeping him out as a precaution
Getting Preston Williams as an undrafted FA was huge! he may be the best wr on our team.
If he gives us a nice contribution this season that would be fantastic. That’s the best way to build a team.
expectations last year at this time were big, i just wonder why there is no expectation for this team in the minds of sports people?
who did we lose? i would say James & gore were the biggest losses, losing tannehill may have improved us. Wake was not as effective as he had been. neither was Quinn. losing Gase was a definite upgrade!
who did we gain? Flores and the patriot way, fitz is better than tanny, not sure about rosen? new pass rushers tank and van, willams at wr, ballage will get more carries. the RT position is a big ?,
putting all that into perspective i can’t see how we are worse than last year? players are players, some have more talent than others but when you field a unit that is together it will make up for any lack of talent at one position.
success depends a lot on scheme!
as bum once said, he’ll take his’n and beat you with your’n and he’ll take your’n and beat you with his’n.
we won 7 games last year i can’t see how this team is any worse.
It’s worse, because they said it was. How dare you question the media.
Upon further review, Fitz handled the situation about as well as could be expected…
From Yahoo Sports:
Melissa Fitzpatrick took notice of Kelly’s assessment on Wednesday and blasted the reporter for “ripping him” while noting that her son is playing out of position.
What did Fitzpatrick think of his mom chiming in publicly about his work place? He agreed.
She’s not wrong,” Fitzpatrick told reporters. “Coach has asked me do something right now. I got to do what they ask me to do. If we have to have some discussions in the future, we’ll have those discussions.”
…
He also wishes mom would have run her beef by him before going public.
“It is what it is,” Fitzpatrick told the Miami Herald. “She’s being honest and saying how she feels. There’s nothing wrong with it. I wish she would have addressed me first and talked to me first before it happens, but it is what it is. She feels very strongly.”
When you have someone like Minkah, playing all over the field, what he does in camp really shouldn’t be an issue. Some idiot reporter thinking he’s discovered something, because it makes him feel better.
Let’s put this thing to rest, it’s really nothing.
Yep, agreed. I rushed to judgment yesterday. So this was my mea culpa.
Mike,
I’ve been screaming for a FB for years, bit I’d still like to see the two of them in the backfield together. You could split one or both of then wide when the defense gives you the right look and create mismatches.
Drake is hard to cover, so I’d split him out. That would probably give Drake a favorable matchup, and Ballage is an underrated receiver out of the backfield as well. If they’re running it though, that just leaves Ballage alone to find the hole w/o a lead blocker. That’s fine too, I don’t expect us to use a FB all too often. More than likely we’ll have more 2 TE sets and even a few 3 TE sets.
I’m fine with all of that. Mix it up, Keep the defense guessing and get the most of of the talent. It’s all I’ve asked of any coaching staff. Maybe this one will do it.
Our pass blocking has sucked for years, but I think we may actually have a coach that will take some of the heat off by running the ball, throwing quick passes…
SB – I guess we’ll never know whether Gase was hamstrung by Tannehill, the O-line or himself, or any combo of all 3. Cutler was no better than Tannehill, so I’d lean towards Gase just isn’t an offensive mastermind that he gets credit for being.
It was a combo of all three.

Dear God I agree with Omar Kelly!
————————————————————-
thats because you are a slightly better looking Omar.
So Mikey is looking to play with our Cox….. Look Mikey i mean, i like you and all but i choose to use Cox in situations that are appropriate, i mean sure when its banging it in from a short distance (in Rock’s case a very short distance) you use Cox. But other time you break loose the drake and Ballage combo. Waggle Ballage to the left, waggle to the right, maybe a bit of pounding him straight ahead, but Cox is for short but deep penetration.
It’s hard to pry the hand away from cox
Nuthin like some Cox and Ballage in a power offense
That would turn a TE into a WR. 👌
ORob, it is true that we didn’t really lose that much player production from last year. We were 7-6 after the Pats game before the team imploded. So how that makes us the worst team in the league I’m not sure. There were lots of reports that Gase had lost the team at that point.
However there are no high expectations for this team outside the building. Not sure the coaches see it that way. They expect players to do their jobs.
Add in some discipline, real QB play and maybe we have something. I hope Tunsil plays this week, so we can evaluate the OL a little more accurately.
Not worried about seeing Tunsil play until he’s ready. It gives us a chance to see who is the best backup LT option.
The backup guys can play 3 qtrs.
I just hope Duriel Harris #82 continues as he is, if he does we could surprise.
He was the guy I thought of when Stanger mentioned jersey confusion with Ricky Williams
Wilkins and his pad level. It’s what Wake does to get by the OL. The BB comparison is Jordan dipping his shoulder to get leverage on a drive to the basket. In MMA it’s the under hook.
This isn’t rocket science, its leverage 101.
It works great on the BB court, because you immobilize your man once you get under his shoulder. Rebounding is similar, but with the hips. How do pro athletes not know this shit?
Knowing and doing it are 2 different things
It’s really not that hard, they already know the low man wins when tacking.
Steve – It’s like MLB catchers know they have to drop down and get their body in front to block a ball effectively, but they get lazy when they’re tired. Same for linemen in the trenches.
What is Tunsil’s injury anyway or is it not being released because they don’t have to this time of year?
Think that Chandler Cox and Myles Gaskin actually make the best combo for the FB in the offense. Might make for a nice change of pace.
This is so great. I wish I’d thought of it when my kids were younger.

Very smart! That was a great idea.
https://www.mlb.com/news/2019-playoff-urgency-index
The Cards and Cubs are essentially tied for the NLC lead, with the Cards holding a negligible lead (Cards at 63-55, Cubs at 64-56) and this index has the Cards playoff chances at 49.3% and the Cubs at 76.9%. WTF?
Schedule?
I guess. The rest of our schedule must be pretty brutal for that big a disparity, lol.
The Mets got back into it beating some bad teams and other than a few bad teams like the Royals they have the Braves, Indians, Braves, Cubs, Phillies coming up which is why some people don’t think they can continue it. They’re already struggling with the Braves. They need to win tonight to avoid the sweep.
Cav — they clearly think the Cubs are more likely to take the division. But what’s it matter? The games happen on the field. And not feeling sorry for you….. my Bucs were 0.0% 🙂
You should feel sorry for us. It’s been 4 years since we made the playoffs. We need a pennant year.
I lived 20 years without above 500….. but yeah will cry myself to sleep to night over the cardinals.
People are still advocating for Kaepernick to be reinstated. A team has to want him, you can’t force a team to sign anyone. Please let it go!!! Enough is enough.
He should run for President! He’s the best!
AOC could be his VP
If that happens we’ll need advice from Toba on nice places to live. LOL
I refuse to discuss MLB because I’m very superstitious. I haven’t talked about them in a long time and they were doing well so figure I’d leave it that way
I figured that’s what you were doing lol. You need to change that up for a win tonight. 🙂
Maybe so. I only questioned putting Lugo in the 7th last night because it would have left either Familia, Diaz or Wilson to close, and I wasn’t digging that. I think it was the right move to pull Matz though. It just didn’t work out. You play the better teams you can’t have any hiccups.
Nobody expected Lugo to struggle like that.
I know he felt squeezed on that first batter he walked. He threw a couple right off the outside corner he thought he should have got. You walk the lead off hitter, you’re doomed 90% of the time.
You just mentioned it in your post, and then again in response to Tim. The Mets are fucked. 😉
Tim, you know who to blame when the Mets dive, lol.
It’s funny because I am not at all superstitious, even a little bit…except about football. For football all logic goes out the window.
LOL @ Tim – Think you’re right!
The Braves dink and dunk us to death. They always seem to find a way to get the ball just out of our reach while the Mets hit some bullets that they were just able to catch. So far the ball is going their way and it’s very frustrating like back in the past. 😦
You mean the 20 years that Bobby Cox was there? LOL
Yep!

It’s really not that hard, they already know the low man wins when tacking.
——————————————————
One, the other man is trying to do the same thing so its about how fast you get there, which is all about athletic ability and technique. Sometimes the guy on the other side is just better than you. Thats where strength and conditioning comes in, because the second part of that why cant they do it, its not that hard is, these are fucking monsters, they are brutal strong, and at the NFL level there are game in game out match-ups against those guys. So even if your tech isnt great, and they get leverage, you can muscle your way out of it if you are strong enough.
Its not as easy as it seems, though the technique part is probably a player who had such off the charts natural gifts that he got by on athletic or strength, and has never had to also have good technique to win the battles.
Flores was simple talking about technique, nothing to do with the other player, Miss Rosanerosannadanna 😉
Then he probably isnt looking at them winning battles, just that they arent doing what they have been coached to do. Thats part of the TNT philosophy, do your job like you have been shown doesn’t take talent, it takes discipline.
Bingo
LOL Kong – I feel a tremendous amount of responsibility for the Mets fortunes or failures the rest of the way. 😛
OD put the Mets in the position they’re in now, when he said the Marlins were about to pass them.😁
LOL, my job here is done. 🙂

The sun will come out tomorrow, Stang.
I expect we’ll make the playoffs this year, and your sleep will be tear free. 🙂
Least have respect for the Cards. They stay in it year by year cause their fans care a whole bunch and the organization is well-run. Attendance is off the charts for the size of the market.
I’d trade it all to see one Dolphins SB win.

I dont see it as advocating, advocating would be saying he is a different maker we need this guy on our team. They are demanding some team pick him up because they feel its not right he isnt out there. Where are the people demanding someone pick up Michael Sam, where are the people demanding that they pick up that Baltimore OT that was pushing to make weed legal for NFL players to use. Each one of them and their lifestyles affected their careers, but people accept they just werent good enough to be on a team.
Protest aside, the thing with Kaepernick is while he has a couple of years of success on a really stacked out team, he isn’t good enough to be a difference maker in the NFL. Plenty of other people have petered out and found themselves unemployed for those reasons. I mean if it was really about his protests, then why are so many others who also protested still employed? Why are some of them that are still playing getting Walter Payton man of the year nominations for those actions. I get its a better story, to make it out to be that, but i just cant see that his issue isnt him and not some sort of conspiracy.
Okay maybe advocating wasn’t the right word but they all need to let it go.
He sued the league and there are people who expect them to hire him. How stupid is that?!!!
Yeah i didnt mean to sound like i was nitpicking your words, I just feel the shit that people who are still hanging on to it is seeing if they can force the NFL’s hand.
No worries! Today’s society has become so fucked up that if you don’t like something you just demand it whether it’s accurate or sensible.
I agree with Mike, they are advocating. I think Kaep surely is good enough to be in the NFL. He’s a completely different animal then say a Stills.
If someone signs him, then this shit starts all over again with fan boycott and such. The owners don’t want to go thru it again. If they had shut it down right away we wouldn’t be where we are on it today, and Kaep would be playing.
Err, I agree with Tim.
I agree in that if you take away his protesting, he’d likely be a back-up on some team, possibly competing for a starter position for a QB questionable team, but yeah, at this point it’s as simple as no team owner wants to create that kind of havoc with their fan base, and by extension their wallet.
I also still believe he doesn’t actually want to play in the NFL and knows he never will. I think he continues to paint himself as a victim of the NFL because it gets play and keeps his name in the news.
Jesus there are some big names out there in FA right now. Either they aren’t budging on what they will accept in a contract or the NFL is really churning through guys.

Happens every year.
Cox and Ballage baby!
Love this movie.
He has spoken Dolphins fans. I’ll admit I didn’t even read the article because I already know what it says from his tweet reports. But the title itself tells me he still doesn’t understand the change in philosophy that Grier and Flores envision moving forward. Even Ross has said I don’t care if we take a step back from mediocrity to build this team the right way from the ground up for sustained success in the future. They haven’t even played a season yet in Phase I but the “trained eye” is all knowing. LOL
Jerome Baker has been one of the most consistent defenders and flash guys all offseason building off of his 2nd half emergence last year. He’s being looked at as a 3 down LB because he can chase sideline to sideline, cover, blitz and shoot gaps in the run game. He’s not a big LB as we know and he’ll get swallowed up at times. But his speed on the field in pads in undeniable and he’s tougher than he probably gets credit for at this time. He’s also a guy who chases down a potential 58 yard TD and keeps it at 45 helping the defense live for another day. We can do so many things with him. He’s a good kid too – he’s become one of my favorite players.
