Yeah, Landry had a big game against his former team, but the story of the day for the Browns was their run game. Nick Chubb punished the Dolphins all day long along with a sprinkling from Kareem Hunt. All in all, the Browns offense was just too much for the Dolphins depleted defense. Between Chubb and Hunt they combined for 143 yards rushing on 29 carries good for over 4.9 YPC. Landry caught 2 TD passes and finished with 10 receptions and 148 yards. He was covered by Ryan Lewis, Ken Crawley and Nik Needham. The Browns had the ball for over 35 minutes compared to the Dolphins 24. Honestly, it didn’t even seem that close.
The Dolphins were down 28-0 late in the 1st half but managed to score 17 unanswered points. That was really as close as it got though as the Browns pulled away and won easily 41-24. TE Mike Gesicki caught his first career TD pass, which is really surprising that it’s taken this long, but good for him. DeVante Parker continues to stay on the field and produce, catching 6 passes for 91 yards, although some of them were in garbage time. Allen Hurns also was involved often and was tied for 2nd with 7 targets with Wilson and Gesicki. Wilson managed just 33 yards on 6 catches. No threat of a run game shrinks the space for Wilson to operate and it shows. He just doesn’t have that quick twitch explosiveness and is easily caught up with each time he gets his hands on the ball.
Raekwon McMillan returned and looked slow and ineffective in his return. He was a step slow to the edge a few times and wasn’t tackling well either. Hopefully he will improve as he gets back in game shape. HEY!!! Charles Harris got half a sack today! What a terror off the edge he was today! Van Ginkel made his first appearance and made a real nice ST’s tackle, a one arm sweep that upended the Browns kick returner. I have been very pleased with the play of our young secondary but today was a tough matchup. They were out there a lot and had a tough time with both Jarvis Landry, OBJ and the duo in the backfield Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, all who are receiving threats. We know that most likely these guys will be depth guys next season at best, but as you can see, depth is huge in the NFL because guys get hurt so often. These kids have been working hard and appear to play hard for their coach, so much props to them.
The Dolphins play the Philadelphia Eagles at home next week, a difficult matchup once again. The Eagles are pretty banged up, RB’s Jordan Howard and Darren Sproles are both out but Howard may be able to play by next week, Sproles is on IR. Jay Ajayi signed this week to once again join the Eagles. No doubt he will have a little extra sumpin’ playing his former team, although the guy that ran him out of town is no longer with the tea, (Gase). The Eagles will be desperate for a win to remain in the playoff hunt at 5-6, losing today to the Seahawks in a tough defensive battle 17-9. Miles Sanders will be the guy if Jordan Howard once again can’t go.
Wins and losses don’t really matter all that much in the scheme of things, just playing well and improving are prudent. Sunday there were a lot of penalties, and that didn’t help the Dolphins any. The lack of a run game has been a killer all season as the leagues worst rushing team by quite a margin. The Dolphins average the fewest rush attempts per game at 20 per game and have just 603 yards for a pathetic 3.0 yards per carry. I know our O-line is somewhat makeshift but run blocking is effort and will mostly, so I’d like to see this unit improve in this area. Durham Smythe has been tagged as a plus run blocking TE and I just haven’t seen it. It’s hard to see him all the time, but when I do, he’s not winning. Evan Boehm who has played both C and either G position hasn’t been opening up any space either. Really, no need to focus on any one player, no one on the O-line is getting it done and our dream of FB Chandler Cox being a plow in the run game hasn’t materialized. Truth be told, he’s hardly been used, and when he has, it’s yielded poor results.
KR/WR Jakeem was injured today and was seen in a walking boot. That also takes some sizzle out of the return game which is a shame. This leaves just Marcus Sherels who has been pretty underwhelming. The Dolphins needed that electricity that Grant brings so this one hurts. The Eagles have a physical defense that will challenge the Dolphins next week. The Eagles are a top 10 defense in some categories, such as yards per game at 323. They are midpack giving up an average of 23 points. Their biggest problem is they’re only scoring about 23 PPG, so that’s why they sit under .500. Two seasons ago when Carson Wentz was healthy they were scoring over 28 PPG.
As far as the future this season, things I’d like to see. I love what Fitz has done this season, he’s been a class guy and brings passion and effort each and every game. At some point though, I want to see Josh Rosen again. It could be in 2 or 3 games from now, but I want to see it. I want to see some passion, some fight from him. Does he really want to start, does he want to be the future of this team, or is he content holding the clipboard and collecting paychecks? This is what I’d like to find out. I’d like Flores to talk with Rosen and tell him that’s the plan, but unless he chomps at the bit and shows it he will be holding that effing clipboard or worse get traded again or cut. I know many of you have written Rosen off but I’m not doing that quite yet. He has talent, I want to see him use it. I want him to work his ass off learning the offense and studying how to read defenses and identify what he sees on the field. This is my hope going forward for him. I think it’s clear that mythical pass rusher we’re looking for is not on the roster, but it would be nice for someone to show a little something going into next season.
GO DOLPHINS!!!
#staythecourse

First
I would like to see Rosen again too but I am guessing there is a reason why we are not seeing him
There definitely is, the team is playing for Fitz. They need to get Rosen to that place. If not, it’s a shame IMO.
DCS
Oh! I owe you a beer. I’ll virtual toast you after the Bombers win 🍻
Come on…they don’t want to get him killed (ruined).
Bombers won the Toss and deferred
Good write Mike. We are playing hard with a very depleted roster. Keep the effort and infuse some top notch talent ..
Go Fins
Go Bombers
Thanks Toba!
What is DCS?

Ah, gotcha
Interception WINNIPEG woot
And punt 🥴
From the team Rosen is working hard on his pre-snap stuff and getting the ball out faster!
I don’t expect to see him this year!
Or next
lol
I think he starts next year!
Unless the drafted QB beats him out?
Strip sack Fumble recovery at Hamilton 15
Td WINNIPEG. Woot woot
Mike, good write. I also think Rosen will be given more of a look. But he has not ceased his opportunity. He’s still only 22 but I do think we draft another QB to the mix with the hope he’s the guy. Rosen is on the cheap for a young QB with talent. That’s how you rebuild. Take a look at QBs and get solid up front. We’re just starting with all of this.
Thanks Tim!
7-3
Missed FG, gave up the rouge.. 8-3
Wyoming:
I think we draft a QB, keep Fitz to mentor the rookie and Rosen won’t be on the roster next year. That’s my prediction
That is what I was thinking/wondering about
We’ll see?
Flores seems to be able to “teach”?
No way in hell Rosen isn’t on the team next year, unless traded for a 1st or 2nd.
Toba with the Grey Cup and a big 49er game tonight.
Go Niners!!!
Lol. I still can’t cheer for them all these years after
I just hate the Packers lol!

Henry Is running wild too
Because, like Minkah, they’ve allowed him to play to his strengths, and don’t care if he gets hurt.
The 219 yards rushing probably has a huge impact in his ability to play to those strengths.
STEVECCNV: By the end of the 5th week next season, Rosen’s Miami career will be over. I watched this guy play 4 games during his time @ UCLA. He sucked in 3 of them. NOT, I repeat, NOT a starting QB in the NFL on a consistent basis. The sooner they dump him, the better.
—————-
HOWEVER, STEVE, I do agree with your analysis of Minkah. He will be an All-Pro player before his career ends, which is more than I can say for the guys who replaced him in Miami. Ross’s boy (Grier) believes in jetisoning high quality players and replacing them with those with inferior talent in a misguided effort to build up early draft picks. This form of “TANKING” obviously has the support of Steve Ross. But as long as GRIER and his fellow “DOOFUS BRIGADE” MEMBERS are doin’ the pickin,’ Miami will be stuck in the same NO PLAYOFFS category they’ve been in for a very long time.
————-
NOW let me be very specific on this. THE PLAYERS ARE NOT “TANKING.” UPPER MANAGEMENT IS!!!!! AND, AS YOU ALL KNOW, I AM ABSOLUTELY OPPOSED TO “TANKING” IN ANY FORM!!! – – Our organization, from top to bottom, must be committed to winning as many games as possible IN EVERY SEASON!! AND THAT IS THE REASON ROSS AND HIS STOOGES (GRIER et al) need to be replaced.
———–
The sooner that Mr. Beals takes control of this franchise, the better.
27-12 Winnipeg after 3
I dont think it would be crazy to keep 3 QBs in the roster next year
That’s just absolutely nuts!! LOL
Our RB and OLiine have taken over the game and are wearing out the leagues best Hamilton Def. 30-12 6:30 left.
1st Grey Cup win in 29 years , led by Winnipeg native ,Game MVP , and Outstanding Canadian Player of the game RB Andrew Harris
3 road playoff games we gave up 13,12 and 14 pts
Final score 33-2
#fortheW
33-12 sorry
LOL! Needed the win in FF this week to stay in the hunt. Lost 210.90 – 128.58. At least I made it close! This sucks!!!
I would trade our first pick and Rosen to Cincy for #1 overall.

Believe it or not, I get a really good vibe about Flores. At least he will get the chance that the previous coaches didn’t … a true rebuild of the roster with guys that HE thinks can play the system he wants installed. It’s a two year rebuild with 5 1st and 4 2nd rounders (as everyone already knows) lol …
Top 5 pick I’d be thrilled with any of Young, Jeudy, or QB of choice. I think Young and Jeudy are talents that far exceed what any of the available QBs can bring. Jeudy is a big part of the ‘Tua experience’ lol. In all likelihood we’ll be top 10 again next year and have tons of ammo to trade up if needed! The chance to get Trevor Lawrence is the real dream imo. I’m cool with another year of our current QBs, maybe even use one of this year’s 2nd or 3rd on Ian Book (ND) who reminds me of Russell Wilson or Dak regarding being under the radar. Dude is a gamer who kept beating out the blue chip recruits for the starting job.
That’s it for now. We are losing, but like the Dubs, the games are still fun to watch as we get to see a lot of young guys getting playing time experience that should pay off under a genuine rebuild.
Your forgot to preface it with “close your eyes OD” 😉
A trade up from 2 to one will not be a value trade, so i doubt they take Rosen and our first. They will want one of our other firsts.
I hate how wishy washy our fanbase is, bitch because we are tanking, bitch because we won two in a row and fucked up the tank, then back to tanking narrative because we lost two more. Fucking pick a side and stay on it lol.
Good luck with that one! 🙄
D – Who is bitching that we won games?
Im not talking about here, though we did have a few too. Im just talking about fans and media that cover the phins in general.
Hey Rhino! Good to see ya on. No matter how good Jeudy is, I can’t take a WR with our 1st pick, because WR isn’t our big issue. QB, OL and DE are the most pressing needs so taking a WR there is a luxury pick IMO
maybe, maybe not. If a player improves our team significantly, no matter the position, we need to look at the player and how much we think they improve us and make the decision off that. There will be more than one year to this rebuild and there will be players every year that fit needs and fill them well.
If we have the chance at getting a QB or OT or DE that’s rated very close to Jeudy you can’t take the WR. I just don’t see a scenario where we would

D, What do you think of Virginia Tech SS Reggie Floyd? He has great size at 6’0″ 222, plays down hill and is a big thumper. He plays kind of a rover roll in their defense, SS and will LB. I think he fits what we try to do on defense. If we had to pass on a McKenzie earlier, I think he would be there in the 5th or 6th.
Manti Tu’a still has his fans thinking he’s a worthy rd1 qb pick I see.
“We are losing, but like the Dubs, the games are still fun to watch as we get to see a lot of young guys getting playing time experience that should pay off under a genuine rebuild.”
Rhino — good to see you man! And could not agree more. Was worried that this “lost” season would make the games like watching preseason but it has not. Still enjoy. Maybe it is just the fact that knew would be bad to start with. This is not like the 1-15 season where was not planned…. even if that one win became real memorable just cause it was the one win.
We literally have a chance to win out.

Eagles (5-6)
Jets (beat them)

Sorry Stanger it was supposed to ship to Chase Young!
But I see your enjoying it!
I’ll get him another one! 😉
Of course that would impact our draft position….. but not like we actually will win out either. 2-3 more wins very possible though.
Do you guys see what I see?
A 🦏 sighting
It’s amazing to me that people are still willing to use our first pick on Tua
Come March/April let’s see where he is in terms
of playing and rehab
But there is no question now that his injury issues should be affecting his draft status
I’m really not a Tua fan per say.
But out of the 3 top qb’s he is the best prospect!
(If healthy) will be said a million times before the draft!
Tua with their first pick is this kind of investment:

Thomas, easy decision for me.

I’m leery of the hitter S’s because they seem to play undisciplined. Id rather take my chances on a S who’s tackling is a little bit of a weakness than one with coverage being their weakness. He could be someone we could bring in to play as a NLB, more specific to a zone package, which makes man coverage skills more luxury, i just dot know that we would ever see him as a 3 down player. I mean thats fine for a 6th rounder, but if i was face with the picks i had and its Reed or Floyd i think i take Reed.
And the Krapernick fans on twitter go wild!

We will know at combine. If he passes medicals there there is no reason to fret about him. Could even keep Rosen or Fitz or both for next year with him behind them if you are really concerned about it. He is definitely the top overall player, Russel Wilson with a bigger arm. Wilson’s kock in my opinion is he just doesn’t have the ability to lead his team back from a deficit, and i think Tua definitely has it in him. My only concern is will his play-style get him killed. Id compare Love to Tua in that respect, but Tua is a much more defined product and Love is still in unformed clay stages.
Thats said, i think your better prototype player, your best overall QB in the sense of traditional evaluations is Burrow. Eason being a unrefined second in that category.
They you have game manager type players with some above average potential but never probably going to be elite. Fromm is the number 1 here, Ehlinger being the secod int hat category.
Then there are a bunch of, should consider changing positions guys, which would be led by Hurts, but also include: Mond, Montez, Francois, Bryant. Great athletes sure, not great QB’s.
Phelon, i definitely dont think its that bad of a decision. We will know the status of the injury long before we make a decision and if he is clear, then i think he should be considered. We just need to make sure he is protected. Lets draft the whole OL at UGA, apparently they all could be up for entering the draft this year. lol
The Pats would be dumb not to rest everybody if that win means nothing to them. If we win they win in that scenario lol. Still usually home field advantage is still in play for them, so i bet they will have reasons to play their starters.
If we are picking 4th and Young, Burrow, Thomas are off the board, Tua would be my selection most likely. If he gets a bad report at combine, maybe Jeudy instead, maybe Herbert, maybe trade back.

PS — picks only good till before the Eagles game.
The Pets might not be able to rest everyone in the final game if they’re still fighting for home field advantage against the Ravens, which is entirely possible. I don’t think it’ll matter, even if they do though.
I think there is a real possibility we might get two more wins. The Eagles and Pets will probably wipe the floor with us, too much talent disparity to overcome. Jets are playing a lot better and will likely beat us, and we have legitimate chances against the Giants and Bengals. I could see winning 2 of the last 3 I listed.

Does that affect anyone’s predictions?
They have a two game tank lead….. that’s tough to beat.
Someone posted about the expectation I had about Grier hitting on all 5 of his first picks in 2020. Actually, referred to it as silly. REALLY? How so?
You give away two starters that you need to replace, one will be all pro. Let’s count that as 2 you better hit on.
Then, you got 2 extra in the first 64. What’s the point in executing give away if you don’t get more. Isn’t that the point of the risk or do you think tearing down the team for picks is a game? I’m thinking, that’s the point and you need to hit on those, too. My count is now 4 and justifies the “course”.
Hitting the 5th is not at all silly, but would be icing on the cake. Less than 4 is a bust and risky just to be risky or egoistic. Not much difference between 4 or 5 and less than that above has set the franchise back again and added another year of losing.
Grier better hit all 5 of his top 50 picks and at a minimum exceed what he gave up. Or the rebuild by “management” via the draft is “silly”.
It was me that made the statement, dont remember calling it silly but i think the expectation is quite silly, again i wouldn’t have called you silly but i might have stated it that way. My statement is and will always be, first, you cant know if you hit or missed until much later, perhaps 3 years. Players dont all develop at the same speed. Secondly its also practically impossible to expect a hit on all 5 picks, it just is. There is a high enough percentage of players from the first two levels that fail to meet expectations across all teams to expect one not to miss on a single pick. Third, there are a ton of factors that keep a player from being a “hit” off field stuff, injury, etc. You cant predict that, you therefore cant predict hit. Rebuild by draft isn’t a one year miracle switch, they will need a few years to make this happen and they certainly wont be hitting on all picks every year. You are putting too many eggs into one basket man.
Krishna — guess it depends on what is meant by a “hit” on a draft choice. If just getting value for them well that’s the baseline. But sometimes you get a 2nd rounder who should have gone in the top of the first and the guy you picked in the top of the first you wish you didn’t pick there or even wouldn’t have taken in the 2nd.
We take 5 in the top 50 and guessing one goes, if not bust, Charles Harris. But then some 4th rounder might more than make up for that. Draft is a crap shoot no matter who writes the cards.

For whatever reason, MTM didn’t want to be here. He FORCED his way off the team. Whoever we get for him, I hope they have more heart than to just quit on the team that drafted them.
———————————————————-
Mike, im not fond of what he did either, but thats thinking of this as a game, and through the lens’ of th fan. We dont know if they didnt sit down with him and say, look this is the position we see you in and this is how we use you, and it was not what he wanted to do. I mean, people in the civilian sector make decision on where they work or dont , based off this same decision, all the time. I am not happy with how it panned out, but i think Minkah is still agreat player who will probably be successful. We will use that pick and probably get a guy who will be successful for us, and maybe that takes the sting away from ya, but IMO its nothing to harbor ill will about. The NFL is a business, teams and players are making it more like that every day by making decisions that aren’t “love of the game” related. Its just how this world is.
Where do you think our first pick will be?

It’s not too late. Plus I worked in 3-2 in my prediction
That happens and the 2021 draft will be most stocked.
I am still not seeing why Minkah is now a future hall of famer. Every highlight he is making is him standing there and things falling into his lap. That is bound to quit happening. No pass breakups, big tackles, etc…..
I don’t have anything good to say about a whiny quitter that didn’t want to fight for his team.
Fuck yeah!!!! You got it ER!!! MTM!
I’m watching the last qtr of the Oregon v ASU game
And Hebert looks pretty good
I know he had low points earlier
But I’m this two min drill trailing, he looks good
For whatever reason, MTM didn’t want to be here. He FORCED his way off the team. Whoever we get for him, I hope they have more heart than to just quit on the team that drafted them.
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 4: Chase Young, DE/OLB, Ohio State (A)
Round 1 Pick 16: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama (A+)
Round 1 Pick 23: Alex Leatherwood, OG/OT, Alabama (B)
Round 2 Pick 4: Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia (A)
Round 2 Pick 30: Darryl Williams, C/OG, Mississippi State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 4: Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn (A-)
Round 4 Pick 17: Zack Moss, RB, Utah (A+)
Round 5 Pick 15: Julian Blackmon, CB, Utah (A)
Round 6 Pick 4: Ty Tyler, DE/OLB, Marshall (A+)
Round 6 Pick 21: Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota (A+)
Round 7 Pick 25: Lamical Perine, RB, Florida (A+)
That would be great
Chase with the first
And Tua later is not such a risk
If Tua is not good to go it’s still a risk.
Yeah but chase will be great
If Tuas not good and Chase Young is an all pro
It will be like getting a BJ and punched in the face
Still a good day in the grand scheme of things
YOUNG STANGER suggests Miami could win all 5 of their remaining games. Yes, and I COULD be SMOTHERED TO DEATH by Dolly Parton falling off her pogo stick right on top of MY FACE.—Cause of death would be a pair of 62-Quintuple D’s cutting off my air supply!!!!! I think each event has an equal chance of happening!!!
————
I’m gonna guess that Miami goes1-4 down the stretch (beating only the Bungels) and finishes 3-13 this season. That would leave us with pick # 3, behind Cincy, who takes Burrow, and either the Redskins or the Giants. If it’s the Giants, they will NOT take a QB, leaving TUA or Herbert for Miami. You just can’t let the left arm of God get away, soo-o-o, if the doctors say Tua’s healthy, we HAVE to take him!! –It would just be our luck that Miami takes Herbert and he breaks his ankle in the first preseason game!!!

WHO’S GONNA BE NEXT?
I’d like to see us build our team like the 49ers with an overwhelming defense. Many teams in the league have OL issues so why not take advantage of that from the get go. A top defense can keep you in every game. Then as you get your offense going you’re ready to roll.
Not saying don’t target a QB and OL, that’s imperative as well. But that usually takes more time.
Where do you think our first pick will be?

I fail to see why the expectation is silly. The decisions were made to improve the team. Otherwise, you’re gambling and not being smart. First, you have to replace what you gave up. Then what be ok because you got more chances to replace what you gave up? That’s a wasted year.
I don’t know why the whiny little bitch wanted out. Way beyond my pay grade. But, you need to replace to break even. He had the best ever rookie db stats in history, I believe. And, he seems to excel at a certain position. Playing to your players strength is coaching. So far, he keeps proving the naysayers wrong.
It’s silly not to expect a huge upgrade in talent via the 2020 draft or I fear OD is correct.
Unless they bring in some gigantic busts, I believe this staff will have no problem capitalizing on any talent brought in.
Fair enough. But, you have to expect/believe they can pick better and more frequently or you’re just spinning your wheels.
We’re all trying to jump ahead. Let it all play out. We all know players get hurt, some develop slower than others and some don’t pan out. We will have the luxury of quality and quantity to balance all of that out. You have to find a QB and be solid in the trenches or you’re not going to be a top team.
Another note: if we plan on beating the Ravens in the future, you better be good up front on both sides of the ball and have LBs who can slow down Jackson on the run. Baker is one, we need another like him.
Krishna any declarative and definitive statement is silly. MUST hit on ALL 5, its silly to expect that. Nothing is every so cut and dry. I hope they hit on all 5, sure, we all do. It will be a fail if we dont hit on all 5, silly. We have to hit on all 5 to be on track for the rebuild, silly. We need to be successful with our next couple of drafts to be on track for the rebuild, sure, we all know this. We are not going to magically leap forward next year hit or miss.
Also, you aren’t quantifying your belief in what is success. Is it drafting the players you think we should ore that anyone here thinks we should? Are you expecting these players to be pro-bowlers in their first year? Are you expecting them to all be starters and be top players at their positions? So you want it to not sound silly, what is your belief of what means we hit on all 5.
I look at what happened in Jax and compare it to the Fins.
Ramsey forced his way out and that team really seems to have quit. Minkah did the same and this team plays harder than I have seen in years.
Exactly Mike E!!
It seems there are conditions in the Minkah trade. A 1st round pick is a lock, but 4th and 6th round picks seem to be based on performance. Minkah’s stats probably give us the better of the deal.
Why are the Ravens running Jackson up 35-6? Stop it!!!
ELEPHANT RIDER: You spoke of “bringing in some gigantic busts” at your 9:16 post. You DID SEE my projected cause of death at my 8:25 post, didn’t you??
—————–
ANYWAY, I believe the Dolphins lead the NFL in picking busts since Ross took control of this franchise. That’s just another reason why we need a new owner and a vastly improved scouting department. Without those needed changes, look for more “GIGANTIC BUSTS” in 2020.
Y’ALL ENJOYING the royal ass kicking that Baltimore is putting on the Los Angeles Sheep?? Guess the bitch slapping they put on Tom Boy was no accident. And then there was that opening day massacre at Hard Head Stadium (59-10). The Ravens are the best team in the NFL right now by quite a margin.
Krishna – I absolutely agree with you about replacing the players we traded. We have to hit on those replacements for sure. The good thing about the Tunsil trade is that we have 3 chances with that one because we got TWO 1st RD picks plus a 2nd, which also included Kenny Stills. With the Minkah trade it won’t be as easy because that could be a mid round to late 1st RD for MTM. That turd put us in a bad spot, so I think we may take a hit on that one. I won’t be surprised if we use that pick to move up though, so then it’s harder to judge the value. I also felt aside from the MTM trade that we might just be treading water with those trades, but I hope for the best.
He doesn’t get much love!
But he’s good!
Didn’t we have a Tennessee OT on our team? Where is he now?
If your always looking in the rear view mirror you won’t see the opportunities in front of you! 😉
Oh snap……
It’s possible that both Grant and Wilson will be out this Sunday. We will probably get a chance to see Isaiah Ford again and either WR Andy Jones or T.J. Rahming. Either that or maybe we carry another TE or RB. Clive Walford has been out so maybe he’s healthy this week.
Meh
Put-em on IR!
I really owe Fitzpatrick an apology too!
I said when they were picking a QB in FA i wanted Fitz all the way because i felt like he represented a lot more than just QB to lead the team. Id keep him on, no matter how anything else transpires and id look to retain him as a coach afterwards. This guy has mentor/coaching ability written all over him. Really smart, passionate, motivational, and he gets what football is about.
The Redskins might take the Tackle. Their Tackle has held out and likely won’t be back and they need to try to protect Haskins.
So 1-3 could look like
1. Burrow Bengals
2. Thomas Skins
3. We need to lose to the Giants and be here to get Young

For whatever reason, MTM didn’t want to be here. He FORCED his way off the team. Whoever we get for him, I hope they have more heart than to just quit on the team that drafted them.

Good point that what he w as gonna do in the new scheme was simply what he did not want to be doing, or maybe more importantly what he could excel at. And that goes to his Mom kicking in on it… we have to know he’d been complaining to her.
One time at an old place a boss said “we want to switch you from what you are doing to doing this.” I said “but what I do know is what am best at and is best for the place.” Also implied that if it happened would leave. After never happened, but guess having said that at one point should not throw stones.

That would definitely make us better on both lines!
I like it!
And a developmental QB with a huge upside. Id run with Fitz and Rosen the next year and then se who breaks away from the pack out of the two youngins.
I typically agree more with McShay than the elderly Eddie Munster. I do though think that Burrow is the top QB prospect. I like his play-style better, but Tua has that magical quality so i dont see him as a bacd option either.

I’d definitely see if he’s interested in staying!
I’d roll out Rosen next year unless the drafted QB beats him out!
Or maybe we don’t even plan to draft one?

I don’t care who you are!
Alright Larry…. lol
LOL
D – You can’t compare the NFL to the private sector of business though. It’s a privilege to play in this league and you get drafted by a team and then sign a contract. His time to do what he did is free agency when his contract is over. Obviously things could have been worked out but he had to be willing to do that. I think Flores seems like the kind of guy who would have sat down and ironed things out, but again, the player has to have the desire to work it out too. To me that’s unacceptable if he didn’t. I know we’ll never know so to be on the safe side I’ll just hate the fucker for the rest of his hopefully lousy career! So there! lol
Unless your Eli or John? 😉
Different because they didn’t sign a contract with those teams. FWIW, not a fan of what they did either but neither of them had anything to do with the Dolphins so I don’t give a fuck
I disagree, he and all employees of the team can ascertain their situation, decide if its conducive for their future and talk to management. He had a contract, he didn’t have to be let out of it. The business had the leverage, 100%, but they chose to grant him the release and accept in return, the offer from Pittsburgh. You dont think that happens in other business? Some even have contracts for employment and this still happens. You are thinking with your fan hat on is all. Once you put that guy away and realize this is a business now, you will see these for what they are. Business moves, on either side. Teams do it to players, and players do it to teams. Still, to me it looks like it was a mutual and amicable split so i dont see the problem.
Wyo – I heard this morning that Mike Tomlin is fond of that philosophy, that the windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror because you should be looking ahead. Meh
Yeah, ok D, whatever. If you agree and more layers start pulling this crap the NFL is fucked. It’s heading that way anyway
I didnt say i agree with it, i said thats how it is. I played football because i loved the game. I stayed on the field when injured because i loved my team. The NFL though is a job, not playing like in HS or even college. You can tell already the NFL isn’t what it used to be because you can pretty much count on one hand players that are lifers on their prospective teams. There is a difference in what i would like to see and the reality of things, and that the difference in looking at it though fan eyes and looking at it through players and FO eyes.
We could have parked his ass here for the remainder of his contract if we wanted to, we didnt, so seems to me we didnt think he was the right fit either.
It’ll be more like the NBA. The payers run that league. This next CBA is going to be huge, because the players are going to try and take some of that power. I hope the league doesn’t cave, even if we lose a year. I don’t want the NFL to move anything close to where the NBA is.
Hate how in the NBA the top players can get a coach fired or set up their own team. Luckily in the NFL takes a lot more players on a team. Seems have figured out how to force a trade though. But that’s only a little step to where the NBA is.
Fuck Minkah.
This team didn’t want a whiny baby anyway.
While I’m at it….just another garbage Alabama player. Count me out of any player coming from that cess pool. 🙂
