From all you seen? He is only played a couple of games, and in those games we had an overwhelming under talented offense of line and running game! Nobody has seen enough of Rosen to make that determination.
——————————————————
Thats the point Rob, the all that we have seen is the fact thatthey didnt play him when they could have. Thats not a good look.
Answer this: What QB in today’s draft would have beat out Fitz last year and how would they have fared under the same situation Rosen found himself in?
—————————————————————–
I think 3 of them would have fared better, given all healthy and had a full off-season.
Give Rosen a decent offensive line an average to above average running game and he wins 5 or more games last year! Fitz with all his experience won games no 1st or 2nd year QB could do on that talent bereft team last year.
I takes time for most young QB’s to develop and it also takes having at least an good team around them Miami did not provide that last year for Rosen as they were in rebuild mode!
I just find it so wrong to give up on Rosen especially for any of these QB’s in this years draft. None of whom I consider a significant upgrade over Rosen who we already have.
Not sure about wrong, but I think not taking a QB up top a distinct possibility, especially if they are not sold on Tua and Herbert. And that would mean kick the tires on Rosen some more.
Lot of you probably already know this….. but here is how the TV coverage of the draft will work. Didn’t know ESPN and NFL Network would be the same feed.
—————————————————
ESPN and NFL Network will combine to offer a singular presentation across both networks. ABC will present its own distinctive telecasts for Rounds 1-3 on Thursday and Friday in addition to simulcasting the ESPN and NFL Network telecast of Rounds 4-7 on Saturday.
The 2020 NFL Draft telecasts will now originate from ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., studios and adhere to proper coronavirus-related social distancing guidelines. Trey Wingo will host all three days of ESPN’s draft coverage and will be joined remotely by analysts Mel Kiper Jr., Louis Riddick and Booger McFarland. NFL Network host Rich Eisen and analysts Daniel Jeremiah, Michael Irvin and Kurt Warner will also contribute remotely all three days. ESPN host Suzy Kolber will conduct remote interviews with draftees from an ESPN studio. NFL insiders Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter also will be part of the telecast.
On ABC’s prime-time telecasts Thursday and Friday, hosts Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer and Maria Taylor will be joined by analysts Todd McShay, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack, as well as correspondent/feature reporter Tom Rinaldi. Davis, Palmer, Taylor and Rinaldi will be in-studio in Bristol.
from what COACH FLO and this current FO has shown so far, I tend to TRUST their judgement on how to rebuild this TEAM……….. PERIOD……… TRUST THE PLAN – GO PHINS 🙂
💥 OTs to rule Draft Day 💥 The tackle I think I'd take first … 💥 A WR who may go earlier than you think. 💥 More on the QBs. 💥 The trouble with Isaiah Simmons. 💥 Chiefs, Saints looking for burners? 💥 A popular pass-rusher. 💥 MORE!https://t.co/lMJsdPeOwh
Interesting scenario about a trade up for Burrow. I have not been a proponent of a trade up but if they believe in Burrow that much then yeah go get him. You only get so many shots at getting your guy
I’m okay with running with what they have if that’s the direction they take. However, Rosen’s flaws were on display the games he played. He had trouble recognizing defenses and calling the Mike to set protection. The more he moved out of the pocket the worse his accuracy became. He was too quick to go to the check down.
LOL @ ESPN. They just said, after the commercial we will be talking to the Bengals head coach, we’ll ask him about……and if he knows who his pick will be with the first overall pick.
Really? Of course they know who their pick is going to be. They aren’t sitting in their office right now going “damn, who is it going to be?”
I would take the best tackle at 5. If anything would trade back one of the next 2 picks to try to get another 1sr rnder next year. Let Rosen and Fitz fight it out and refocus on next years draft for a qb
I’m not tied to a QB at #5, but seems not much spread amongst the top 4 tackles. If wanted on would trade down a bit…… but obviously you can’t plan who wants to trade like it is ordering dinner. Right with you on getting that 2021 first though.
13kvFINS — Not so worried about that part. And if anything the player’s association always screws over the upcoming rooks. They don’t elect them after all.
Absolutely not. I don’t feel we have to take Tua, I just think we will. I’d be fine with just taking some positional players like OL, DE, RB, S, whatever. I still think if Tua is there at #5 he’s the pick. We shall see . . .
I can’t tell you much about guys in the draft other than Utah players. They’ve got a bunch of good ones this year that I’d love to see in Miami for good value:
Jaylon Johnson CB – Dedicated to making the NFL his entire life. Spent the last 3 years prepping for it and he has got to be one of the safest picks in the draft. I’d be happy with him at 26 or love him in the 2nd round
Terrell Burgess CB – Afraid he will go higher than people think, but he would be a perfect fit for our defense. Can play either safety spot really well and is a good nickel CB. Versatile. If he is there in the third or later they should jump.
Those are my two favorites. I think Anae will be a solid player, maybe even a starter for a while. Blackmon has a lot of potential to develop into a very good safety and has cover abilities since he started at boundary CB for 2 years before switching to FS last season.
Fotu in the 4th or later is good value and would be a good rotation guy. He’s pretty raw still, but has a ton of potential. It would depend on how dedicated he is to succeeding in the NFL. Penisini is a name you probably haven’t heard, but he would be an UFA that makes a roster and contributes.
drg – Good to see ya bud! It’s the most exciting football day of the year for Dolphins fans. We’re in a really good place in this draft, we just have to make the right selections and continue building what we started in FA.
KV – I’m a little ascairt of Becton. He doesn’t move great with his feet. I know he runs fast but he doesn’t slide well and kick out well. He’s definitely a wall, but that wall better in front of that pass rusher because you can get around him. If we could get Andrew Thomas, Jedrick Wills or Tristan Wirfs I’d feel better
Everyone assumes Cincy will take Burrow, but the rules allow the 1st pick to negotiate and basically sign their choice before the draft, Cincy has not done that.
They might be waiting to see if someone offers them a ransom, or they just want some drama to play out. Honestly, it’s so boring to do it the way you mentioned, it takes all the excitement out of the pick
Typically they are not doing that these days since the new collective bargaining agreement has gone to pretty much a system where your contract is pretty much decided by your draft position. So there no great advantage to a pre draft signing. This allows them to entertain offers even if it is unlikely that they trade out but somebody may just make them a stupid offer
KV – Think about the NFL too, there just aren’t that many successful players on the O-line that weigh 364 lbs. If he were like 340 maybe, he’s probably move a lot better. Not sure if he wants to be that light though. What are your thoughts about him being so huge?
Also worried about a possible weight problem with him, if he’s 364 now, you hope he doesn’t get any heavier. He’s definitely an intriguing prospect though
Good to read you too, my friend. I’m psyched for the draft and a small respite from the sports drought. It will be a big letdown for me if we don’t end up with Tua. Herbert is a huge NO for me. Just my 2 cents.
If Cincy Takes Tua, then trade up to 3 and Run to the podium for Burrow !!!
I would be MOST Pleased..
if we end up with Tua I will survive… hopefully he does as well in that scenario..
k, screw it leaving work early …
here we go Dolphins ! Here we Go !!!
Can you point out his flaws? Or are you just flapping your gums?
Play 1 – never looks at anyone except the RB
Play 2 – throws a wobbler that is tipped and then caught
1:54 throws a pick that Williams takes away from the DB
2:18 throws behind the receiver and is almost picked
2:34 darts a ball low and behind the Ballage and it bonces off his hands
2:42 throws drake out of bounds in the endzone
3:29 closes his eyes and throws it up to the endzone blindly
4:46 WTF!? HOF shit there….
4:55 throws the ball about 5 yards over Drakes head in the flats
I feel nauseous and want to stop playing now if that’s ok with you.
I think I’m going to have to set up a new blog, we might crush the limit on this one, especially once we’re underway. I’ll get it out there just before start time.
So now they are reporting that the jaguars might trade up for an OT, and that OT is Thomas
Among the possible targets for the #Jaguars, LT Andrew Thomas seems the most obvious. The safest and most complete tackle. He’d come in at left tackle, Cam Robinson would kick inside to guard and Jawaan Taylor would stay at RT. https://t.co/JEsaEBgZMT
MikeE,
I’m sure I don’t say it enough but thanks for all you do with the articles. Your efforts are appreciated. If I ever actually meet you, the drinks are on me.
Smart. So Miami will likely have their choice between who is left after the Lions and Giants choose between Jeff Okudah, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, Andrew Thomas, Tristan Wirfs or Jedrick Wills. https://t.co/vAdiQstzHf
Rock your 1st ball drop happens in Jr.High then in the early to mid 50’s gravity takes over. Don’t worry you will be able to sling them up and lick your own balls soon. 🐕

Give Rosen a decent offensive line an average to above average running game and he wins 5 or more games last year! Fitz with all his experience won games no 1st or 2nd year QB could do on that talent bereft team last year.
Much Credit to Fitz and Flores!
Then the coaches should have had him out there doing that to evaluate him
Still thats a lot of caveats to give to a guy and then say he would have gotten 5 wins
How can you honestly evaluate him under the conditions this team was in last year?
I takes time for most young QB’s to develop and it also takes having at least an good team around them Miami did not provide that last year for Rosen as they were in rebuild mode!
Wow, you guys have way too much time on your hands. Stop using your brains so much! Lol
LOL I am obsessed and stressed over this!
And considering we have 2 1’s & 2 2’s next year……why is it that Miami MUST draft a QB this year? I don’t but it!

Booger McFarland? Really…..
Enjoy the Draft everybody…I’m out!
Good to see ya, markey. Enjoy the draft.
stanger,
Can they get that Joy Taylor chick from the Colin Cowherd show too? I could definitely look at her for 8 hours straight.
Cute — but if they are going to bring eye candy on I’m with Amendola…… Kay Adams.

He gonna lose a finger if DATT cookie cutters workin
So Based on Trading up for an injured Tua, we best take this guy with next available pick,… 🙂
think Biadasz is still the best center
He’s just getting pushed back bc he played with injury this year and people are concerned about his injury

Carrying 3 qbs on the roster is a mistake. Drafting Tua devalues Rosen
SMH you still on this? ROSEN’S PLAY devalues Rosen enough.
from what COACH FLO and this current FO has shown so far, I tend to TRUST their judgement on how to rebuild this TEAM……….. PERIOD……… TRUST THE PLAN – GO PHINS 🙂
Tua or Bust
Let’s finally get our QB!
Oink!
What do you guys think of my plan to get an extra 5th rounder
El cerdo loco
Stop being dicks Bengals you know Burrow wants to be a Dolphin.
Maybe Burrow pulls a John Ellway, or Eli Manning?
Then we cold get Burrow for Tua and a pick?????
i dont think the bengals want a slew of 1st rnders, they wont want to pay the freight, winning is not their primary concern making $ is
Markeyh the champion of under performing QBs. Good to see you back
Interesting scenario about a trade up for Burrow. I have not been a proponent of a trade up but if they believe in Burrow that much then yeah go get him. You only get so many shots at getting your guy
If we come out with either Burrow, Tua or Herbert I will be happy. If we do not I will be very angry and nobody wants to see that
Prepare to turn green!
Breer is saying 9 OL going in the 1st!
We need a tackle. Im now thinking the best tackle at 5
Wills or thomas at 5
Wirfs to the giants
Too many warts on both tua and herbert
Rosen
Stop throwing darts at a board. You havent seen Rosen with talent around him to know what you are saying. He has the tools to be great.
Tools to be great huh? LOL OK
Two teams decided he hasn’t had those tools so far.
Really? Which two teams were those?
Can you point out his flaws? Or are you just flapping your gums?
I’m okay with running with what they have if that’s the direction they take. However, Rosen’s flaws were on display the games he played. He had trouble recognizing defenses and calling the Mike to set protection. The more he moved out of the pocket the worse his accuracy became. He was too quick to go to the check down.
Here are always warts on QBs
They are hyper analyzed for months
If not now than never
They said he had hip issues in high school.
Jax wants to trade back. We could actually trade up to 9 and come away with a tackle and qb.
Is that you Jersey pile Piggy? 🙂
NO TO TUA
LOL @ ESPN. They just said, after the commercial we will be talking to the Bengals head coach, we’ll ask him about……and if he knows who his pick will be with the first overall pick.

I hear there will be a heavy run on tackles. 8 in rnd 1. If you count ruiz that would be 9
But it’s also like they ride in different cars. 4 in one and 4 in the other. A key Q is when the first 4 are done…… a break after.
If your willing to give a first to move up? Why not next years!
Round 1 Pick 5: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama (A+)
Round 1 Pick 14 (T.B.): Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia (A)
Round 1 Pick 26: Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia (B-)
Round 2 Pick 7: Grant Delpit, FS/SS, LSU (A+)
Round 2 Pick 24: Cesar Ruiz, C/OG, Michigan (A)
Round 3 Pick 6: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU (A)
I dont think jones will be there at 14. Much less thomas
As long as it’s not Beckton! One of the other 4 would be fine!
We don’t have a LT! We have a half of a RT?
How is Thomas there at #14? I want that though.
You may pull that off if you took thomas at 5 and tua at 14
No one knows the TRUE VALUE of o21 Draft Prospects
Cuz if the new CBA, GONNA BE A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME
I dont believe that many o20 draft trades will involve o21 draft picks

I like the other 4-5 too..
If we were to land TUA @5
I’d love Wills at 18 (however unlikely)
Left handed QB experience
This is impressive and very sad at the same time!
Indeed!
Doesn’t look like many of the jerseys have been warn much. What a sad collection to have.

5,18, highest first next years, a second this year(39), a second next year and I can give you 6-8 players on rookie contracts.
WOW RG3II?
Anybody have any ideas on the draft?
It’s tonight, ya know.
Just want it to start, tired of all the speculation.
I’d like to keep all of our top 6 picks.
