It’s not just the addition of Jordan Howard, the physical type of back we haven’t had here for a while. It’s the commitment to being capable of running the ball. The offensive line has been revamped and in almost every case they are big strong run blockers. Oddly enough, the exception is our second 1st RD pick, LT Austin Jackson. It’s not that Jackson isn’t a good run blocker, he is, but he’s not a road grader. Robert Hunt and Solomon Kindley are. Ereck Flowers can be. It’s painful to look back at the depth chart early on last season after trading Laremy Tunsil. Jesse Davis at LT, Michael Deiter at LG, Dan Kilgore at C, Evan Boehm at RG and Isaiah Prince at RT. I don’t know for sure what the line will look like but my guess is it will be Jackson LT, Flowers LG, Karras C, Hunt or Davis at RG and the other at RT. Michael Deiter may give a fight for a guard spot but whoever wins this year will be locked in a tough battle.
Trading for Matt Breida puts the speed back into the depth chart at RB after trading away Kenyan Drake. Breida is a similar player, he’s a HR hitter with his speed and is a good receiver out of the backfield. Having Jordan Howard wearing down opposing defenses will make Brieda even more dangerous. I can almost guarantee you we will be a better team on the ground than last year. Of course that’s not saying much considering Ryan Fitzpatrick was our leading rusher with 243 yards. We’re going to be a much more physical team. Whoever is on the O-line is going to be a punishing run blocker. No finesse offense, that’s off the table. Just think of how much more successful our offense could be with a legitimate rushing attack. With more push from the line our backs, all of our backs will look better than their 2019 counterparts.
The only damper on my enthusiasm is the lack of OTA’s and practices which potentially 6 new starters in the run game including the RB will need. What a shame. The bright side is that opposing defenses will also be missing the time they need to jell so it works both ways. I’m thinking that by the end of the season we may actually have one of the better running attacks in football. Certainly by next season we will be even better. Well OK, to be fair, it’s not just the lack of practice and workouts, there’s the possibility there may not even be s 2020 season, although I think that’s a slim chance.
I still think Ryan Fitzpatrick will be running this team, at least early on. If he plays well, there’s no reason to change that. He’ll be glad to have Jordan Howard and Matt Breida, and Myles Gaskin and Patrick Laird will all look better, even Kalen Ballage should look better with better run blocking. I’m eager to see impose our will on opposing defenses, much like we did when Jay Ajayi was a threat to do that every game. He didn’t do it every game, but the fact that he had some dominant performances kept the defense honest, even if he wasn’t successful on the ground. We need that edge back, we need teams to respect our run game in order to be an overall better team. The best teams all can run the ball, we need to be one of them.

Rest in peace Jim kiick
The Mahi and the Blue Line were DELICIOUS!!!!!
That looks good!
Kiick may have died from CTE
Possible. Certainly was early on-set dementia if not.
I agree Snook is my favorite fish. Not a commercial fish though and very regulated.
Have to agree with that one. Also, really like Cobia.
Son – Security detail. I do them as side gigs occasionally.
I got on an amberjack kick lately. Get thick fillets and cut in 1/2″ pieces, fry it and it’s just like eating chicken nuggets.
Bonded out a juvenile idiot this morning on a 25K bond. There was a private party going on at the Sky Zone Trampoline Park. Cops responded to a fight in the parking lot. This 15 year old thought it would be funny to steal the police SUV while the cops were breaking up the fight and go on a chase. Was chased about 5 miles before he ditched the vehicle. He got caught when they released a dog on him. Dog ripped up his calf real good. He said he didn’t think he would get in trouble because of all the shit he sees people getting away with on social media lately. Really dude, SMMFH.
Three days to scalloping trip! We won’t be catching any fish like Wyoming. Mostly catch speckled trout, red fish, spanish mackerel and some flounder. Haven’t seen any snook yet bet they are around there. Get a king mackerel every now and then. We are only taking our smaller boats so we usually stay within 5 miles of the coast. It’s shallow in the “Big Bend” area. You have to go about 15 miles out to catch the big snapper, mahi mahi, etc. and we ain’t going to do that in a bass tracker. lol
I am jealous! Sounds like a blast.. and I love seafood so…
RIP Jim Kiick
We had 3 great RBs then. Didn’t appreciate Kiick as much as I should have at the time. Especially based on stuff have read since.
That’s sad. RIP Jim Kiick!
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there- I hope you get to spend some time with your kids!
Thanks bud, to you as well!

Happy Fatherβs Day to all the Dads !!
TryPod, It’s a blast!! We are on the water before the sun is up and headed back in with our limit by 8:30am. Scallops usually in chest deep crystal clear water. We are done cleaning scallops loaded up with beer and sandwiches and back on water by 9:30am. Fish until noon. Come back, clean fish then drink beer and play cornhole all afternoon and evening. It’s a guy trip, and the house we rent has a 50 foot long deck right along the main canal leading to the boat ramp. It’s the only public boat ramp in about a 30 mile stretch of coastline. So we get a really nice swim suit show while we play corn hole on the deck as the boats come in. Between 3-6pm it’s a booby and bootie flotilla. Actually got flashed a time or two. Each guy takes turn cooking dinner so you cook once and the rest of the time someone is cooking for you. Go to bed and get up the next day and repeat. By day 5 we all are ready to go home, lol.
Sounds like fun!
That sounds like the ideal holiday- fishing, beer, babe watch, cutting up with the guys.. enjoy it!
Sun burnt, drunk, and full!
Wyoming — BBM may have to bail you out after the arrest for mass-murder of fish. π
An article about Gailey’s offense was posted before the page turn. It talked about what Gesicki might do in the new offense and along with Parker having breakout seasons. Saying they needed a QB that takes some chances down the field.
What a shocker there that once Tannehill was gone and a real QB took over some of our underperforming players were starting to show why they were drafted so high.
Everytime we thought we could challenge the cheats they’d kill us with the cover zero, making checked down Charlie make a play, that never happened.
I’ve heard Gailey’s offense is pretty flexible based on the talent he has.
I agree. I think the lack of use of the TE by Gailey was more due to not having a weapon at the position since Tony Gonzales in KC. Now he has Gesicki.
Screaming HAPPY FATHERβS DAY!! to all you great Dads on this blog. Iβm vacationing at a lake, internet is not the best. Hope youβve all had a great day!! β€οΈ

Will we have an NFL season?
Depends which side wins the battle.
Isolate those that are vulnerable, let the rest proceed as usual. Money will prevail.
Not sure why all of these big mouth tough guys are so worried about covid19, they really aren’t vulnerable to it.
Some Cowboys and Texans contracted it, but they didn’t say, if anyone had to be admitted to a hospital.
If we do the players and staff will have to be isolated. Which means once they start these people cant go home all season. They will have to be isolated from their families.
And you can forget about fans.
5% have died, but that number isn’t exactly accurate. Take out the 40% that died in nursing homes and in the 40+ age group and you can see how low the the risk is for healthy athletes.
Play ball
No fans in the stadium at all.
They could do it. Afterall what is a bigger motivator than $$$$
Forget about the 2020 fest. It aint happening
Florida could be the next epicenter.
Fitz had his NFL best 3.3% sack rate back in 2015 with the New York Jets. That year saw Fitzpatrick sacked 19 times of 562 pass attempts, compared to 40 times last year with a 7.5% sack rate.
He had his 2 best years with his career best sack rate and his worst. Image what he could do in 2020 with Gailey and some form of pass protection.
His ability to make plays, while the OL gets their feet wet, is another reason he should be the starter week 1.
What I think changes everything is the overhaul of the D. Adding great talent at CB, 3 tweener pressure/run stuffers on the front 7, then the other guys we drafted.
Last year was a blow it up scenario, so no way we can’t be greatly improved.
Kenyon Drake talking some smack, thinks the Cards are going to kick ass this year.
I think his problem is he can’t run between the tackles consistently, and when he does he gains too many yards, as someone here infamously pointed outπ
We got Breida and Howard, a more well rounded backfield, for what Drake costs.
He’s a good back, but like you said we should be fine with Howard and Breida. It wasn’t his fault he didn’t do that much here, we weren’t in a good place as a team and our O-line wasn’t there yet.
ORob was right, we need a back that can get 3 or 4 on 1st down consistently, instead of one that goes for 20 on one 1st down, then the next 4 1st down carries he nets -2 yards.
I know you don’t mean it, but I’ll state it this way anyway
I think you mean we need an O-line that can stop the defenders from being 2 yards deep in the backfield to make those tackles over and over again.
Freaking defenders were almost taking the ball in the handoff.
That was last year Rock, but even when there was blocking Drake had lots of Carrie’s for loss. He’s one of those always looking to break it outside type of runners, that will get big gains at times, but also loose lots of yards. In the end his style killed us most weeks, then he’d have a big game against NE and he’d think he was great.
After watching more game highlights I’m warming up to Laird. I think he’s Ok as our 3rd back. Runs a little too upright, but for a 3rd back he’s Ok for spot duty and ST.
He’s knocked cold.

Kind of hard to follow. Looks like some big dude sucker punched Goedert, then some patrons tackled the guy that punched Goedert.
Damn, that was the true definition of a sucker punch.
Saw some punch ups in my rugby days. Never saw a guy knocked cold. Going after a guy already engaged with someone else would first lead to a “two team meeting” and make the life of whoever did it real bad the rest of the game.

I wonder why Gore or Ajayi didn’t have a problem with that?
They did.
behind the same ol gore had way more success than drake
i would assume that’s why gore started ahead of drake.
Because you imagined it and it was not true that they didn’t. I went so far as to post EVERY SNAP of the play by play over a season and you still denied reality.
Rob – Gore averaged 4.6 YPC w/no TD’s and Drake averaged 4.5 YPC w/4 TD’s. I’d hardly call that way better. He did get 35 more carries though
you have to take out any runs over 10 yards Mike! DUH
how many tough yards did he avg?
your stats are misleading.
if you take a 70 yard run and 9; 1 yard runs you have 80 yards on 10 carries for 8 yards a carry. WOW THAT’S GREAT RIGHT?
it’s great that he was able to scamper 70 yards but how about the other runs? leaving the offense in late down and distance on multiple possessions?
do you think it would be better to have a RB make 4 yards per carry on 10 different plays? leaving our offense in a manageable down and distance?
That’s only 4 yards per carry, it’s half of your flashy guy but what would you rather have when you are trying to win a game?
Let’s be honest, our OL and overall blocking has been an issue for years. Hopefully revamping the personnel and bringing in bigger more physical OL will change that sooner than later.
Rockbrain, i kept the stats, Gore was way better than drake could ever hope to be in a winning style of offense.
When Drake gets hit he collapses, he has no power just speed, and that may be great in arizona with their type of run and shoot but run and shoot doesn’t win championships, power running does.
Clearly we made the right choice when we took Gesicki over Goedert…
I thought about saying that myself . . . Tee hee
I must have missed the “how to take a sucker punch” drill in the combine. LOL
He was awful at it I’m sure
Goedert missed it too, he was out cold. lol
i’m good with getting Howard and the beef up front, i think we will have a good 1 st down running game that will put us in manageable situations, and you can bet the decisions were made behind getting these big guys and Howard for that success.
Hopefully that will be the case. Our biggest issue in the run game in the recent past is we struggled to run when we had to. We couldn’t knock defenders off the ball anywhere near enough. We’d catch a team off guard and get a good run here and there, but when we had to line up and ram it in there we couldn’t.
you keep pointing the fonger at the ol, thats not always the case, the rb should be blamed as well
RBs being tackled before the LOS on a regular basis is a blocking issue. It happened to all of our RBs over and over. You want to keep focusing on Drake have at it. You’re ignoring the bigger picture. Drake never even had 200 rushes in a season. Go look at Ajayi’s game log in 2016, outside of like 5-6 games, his numbers were not good per rush in the other games. He was also a guy who’d have a big run to prop up his YPCA, but most of the time he was getting nothing.
We could not consistently run the ball since Philbin. There’s no debating that. So with that said, none of these RBs we’re talking about are here anymore. The position has been revamped along with the OL. Let’s just hope we improved in both run blocking and in pass pro moving forward.
Gailey will spread the D out with 4 wrs and he’ll power run early, and when they try to stop the run he’ll kill them with the pass.
Funny to see a Childhood Fantasy talk about hers.
LOL we will be power running from an empty the 00. LMAOASI

Try, Allan Holdsworth made the guitar sound like a sax and something else. He brought Davis, Coltrane, Parker and anyone else into the fold.
Small sample of the master.
Well I don’t see him running to the sideline!
But were those 1st down plays?
Many of them didn’t count because they were more than 10 yards
the key to having success in the nfl starts with 1st down, it is the most important down, most plays are run plays, d,s know this and protect against the run on 1st down. if you are able to avg 4yds on 1st you will be successful because you will be putting your offense in manageable 2nd dn situations on a continuous basis. drake was unable to achieve that. ithink with gaileys offense and howard, plus the ol additions this will work.
Drake actually wasn’t getting it done on 1st down which is why Gore replaced him. Gore was better at penetrating the holes inside that Drake didn’t usually look for or see. If he had some space to the outside he was great.
Second and long it’s not a recipe for winning
Thought they game plan for 2nd and long. π
But a pass can make it 2nd and 4 too.
What if you just had endless 1st downs? Almost like Mulligans…you get another 1st down every time you run a 1st down play. Do runs over ten yards count then?
Not in terms of RB player evaluation. π
In the words of Cosmo Kramer: “you just blew my mind!”
Really strange. Ron Jeremy has been charged with 3 counts of rape. You’d think when you are one of the most famous porn stars ever would be the last thing you have to do. Would sorta of think women would line up like with an NFL QB , even if for different reasons.
Well he is kind of old. And fat. And ugly.
Would sorta think “I slept with Ron J” would be something for the girls in the industry to brag about. Not like they are the romantic type.
This blog is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get. LOL
You know ORob and his running strategems. But hey….. think the Ds have thinned out so much for the pass happy stuff that a herd of dust running team could do well.
Wasn’t referring to ORob. LOL
That said, a strong running team is always good thing to have as long as you can make plays in the passing game. You can’t succeed on running alone. A top defense can make up for some of a lackluster passing game but you need balance. See the 49ers.
Jordan Howard doesn’t have a 5th gear but he’s got some good burst to get going when he sees daylight, and he doesn’t shy away from contact. Good grinding back. Breida gives us that quick and fast change of pace back. Really looking forward to seeing this tandem whenever that may be. Then there is Ballage, Laird, Gaskin and Perry competing for depth.
Phelon runs over 10 yards are great. But when you include them in avg to determine efficiency on 1st down you get misleading numbers.
Gore was way more effective than drake on first down yet they had the same overall avg ypc

https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/passing-first-down-pct
Funny how reality doesn’t jive with some peopled perception of reality…
Only two teams ran on first down more than passing on first down in the last two years and only four teams in the last 4 years. First down has become a passing down (LEAGUE WIDE)
Probably will find that the passing game is actually part of the running game as well, with quick hits to the RB, quick screens, etc are in essence part of a running game just taking advantage of being able to get outside the tackles quicker.
I understand your point, but strictly speaking the run game is part of the run game and the passing game is the passing game and they do not mix statistically.
The proof is in the pudding. Successful teams to NOT have to run for 4 yards on first down. actually statistically only only 6% of teams even try.
It’s pretty surprising to see Tennessee passed more often than they threw on 1st. I’d have bet the farm it was the other way around.
lol, passed more often than they ran – doh
I hear what you’re saying, but you need balance. I think ORob goes to the extreme, but we need to run the ball.
It’s been a passing league for a long time, but you can’t deny the fact that having a running game helps your passing game, keeps the D from pinning their ears back, and allows you to move the chains and score TDs in short yardage situations, so basically turns 10 yards for a first closer to 8, instead of 12, that we experienced last year.
The extreme would be the Titans and 49ers, but that didn’t get them a title, pretty close though, and in the end their lack of balance cost them.
Maybe Breida is good against a stacked box, I don’t know, this stat means nothing, unless we get some context.
We’ve all surely seen what Henry did, but for Breida did he have a stacked box 20 times and bust off a long run, which brought his average way up? I don’t know, I need more info.
I’m not shooting the messenger Wyoming, i love these tweets you post, just stating that PFF are idiots. You would think a company built on stats would do a better job.
Its also highly dependent on what they ran against that stacked box, maybe they made good play calls when they had a stacked box, maybe it was a bounce to the outside, that stat makes it sound like he is a helluva power back, or it could make it look that way, but we know thats not the case with him because we have all seen him play. Stats are talking heads to make up whatever story they want to.
One spot in front of Breida…..
8. Kenyan Drake, Arizona Cardinals
PFF Rushing Grade: 75.4
If you limit this sample to the 54 attempts when Drake saw a stacked box after joining the Cardinals, his rushing grade is even more impressive β jumping to 80.1 from Week 9 through Week 17. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry on those 54 attempts, and 21 of them went for first downs or touchdowns. That 39% rate would have tied Lamar Jackson for first in the NFL over the course of an entire season. By most metrics, Drake was one of the most successful runners in the league over the back half of last season, creating a difficult task for opposing defenses when paired with the threat of Kyler Murray himself taking off.
The key there is when paired with Murray.
This running stuff is silly. Everyone knows it’s a passing league, even though running the ball helps your O out tremendously. One extreme to the other we go, balance is key. Surely you can win it all with one extreme or the other, I’m pretty sure though, that every team wants to utilize both.
You have to have a threat of a running game just like you do a passing game or you wont succeed in this league. Still, like you said, majority of the league is probably 70% passing, and thats just the facts. There is no true balanced system anymore. They made the rules to protect the QB, which makes him harder to defend because you have the rules in his favor, as well as the receiver.
The balance I was referring to was the ability to run or pass and not the number of attempts, although getting the attempts heavily favoring one side is bad too, but not as bad as favoring one side and not being able to execute in the other.
Titans didn’t have attempts balance, had good stats from the passing game, but couldn’t pass when they needed to.
In the end Tannehill couldn’t get it done, when he needed to, yet they signed him to a massive contract. This year, when Henry comes back to earth, RTs passer rating will too.
Steve, I agree you absolutely need a balanced offense. You must run the ball. But there isn’t just one way to run the ball. Gailey’s offense historically has been a spread offense and he has most often utilized zone blocking schemes and not power blocking schemes.
Most snaps in his offense his last two stops (Buff and NY) have used the ZBS with 3 wide outs or more with typically only one RB in the backfield. He historically has not used a full back often.
There is some confusion among posters on here of what a “power run” is. A power running play typically has two lead blockers. Usually a full back and the backside guard. There will be very little “power running” by Miami if Gailey continues to call plays as he has throughout his career.
I agree, but Power Run and power running are 2 different things. I don’t remember ORob talking about Power Run, just running with power.
There is power running and zone running. I don’t know of a different kind of “Power running” just the two types of schemes.
I’m not talking about schemes, I’m just talking about being a power runner as opposed to a Drake finesse runner. The power runner tries to run over you, while the finesse runner runs away from contact.
Ill leave it to ORob to clarify how point, but i have always assumed, through context he was talking about running between he tackles, ie straight gap running, and i dont think he considers that a scenario where a lead back is needed,
Rock you are mixing concepts, Power scheme and zone scheme are the blocking schemes not the type of run game. Power scheme is each OL engaging a target that they have assigned to block. Zone blocking is each when the OL block more of whomever is in an area they are supposed to clear out, These create lanes, and the reason some RB are better for one vs the other is how the blocking schemes tend to create space to run. Zone is meant to create cutback lanes, power is more to clear out gaps or traditional lanes.
The running back is independent of those blocking scheme as is the need or use of a lead back, etc. Generally in zone, a one cut runner works best, as thats their skill set to see the cutback lane and quickly accelerate through them. Gore is one of these guys but people call him a power-back, Drake is also one of these guys but people call him a scat back.
So you really have to define what your talking about, power run offensive scheme, ie I backfield, lead blocker, ram it down your throat. Are you talking about the runner who can just punch it into a wall of guys and grind out yards, or are you talking about the line blocking scheme and the design of the run game through the way the OL blocks, which is generally used to compensate for an OL that is good at pass-blocking but not beefy enough to fight it out in a power system.
Once ya define that, you can start talking the particulars of who is better who is or isnt, yadda yadda, but right now there are about three unique arguments thrown at each other and its not talking apples to apples most of the time.
Jones may turn out to be nice pick in the 3rd round. He’s a multiple type player and also plays STs.
Team Captain!
High integrity!
Film hound!
Seems to be what Flores covets!
Exactly! If our secondary isn’t a top group I have no idea what else they could do.
I agree with you guys, and I’ve got him starting week 1, but have only seen a little game tape. There’s several there that don’t like the pick.
The 2 FA safeties we got could also start week 1, but would only be warming his seat. McCain I hate at S.
Steve, to be fair with McCain at Safety, it was his first season playing S and he only played half a season before going on IR with a shoulder injury that he was playing with for 4 weeks.
If he don’t bite as a pup…
Seriously, he can’t tackle, is too small and played like a deer in headlights.
First off he’s not a pup. LOL
New defense, first time playing safety, and playing with a bad shoulder for weeks. McCain can tackle, but it was obvious he was hurting. He came off the field a few times holding his arm and shoulder before being shut down. We also weren’t a very good defense and went through like 20 DBs. It wasn’t all on him playing deep safety.
That said is he the ideal safety? No! But he’s not as bad as you’re portraying him, at least not to me. Not sure who’s going to play where in this revamped secondary other than Howard and Jones as the boundary corners. But Jones was used in Dallas to cover the best receivers whether outside, in the slot or against TEs. We’ll have to see how it plays out whenever that may be.
60 games in MLB, DH in both leagues and in extra innings, runner on 2nd to start the inning. DH actually suits the Mets perfectly this season.
You serious Clark? Now we can have Smith in the lineup along with Alonzo. Smith is considered the better defensive 1B right?
Smith, Cano, Cespedes, J.D. Davis. ALonso played pretty well, so I don’t think they move him off 1st Base unless the DH is here to stay, which is possible.
I get the runner on 2nd to start extra innings so they can shorten those games, but what is the reasoning for DH in both leagues? Does the AL typically have fewer extra inning games than the NL due to the DH?
Or maybe the pitchers are considered higher value, so they are protecting them from more potential contact involved with baserunning?
Mike, Alonso is not the butcher at 1B that was reported before he came to the bigs. Even Keith has said he’s solid. But I thought Smith was considered a real good glove. They’ll probably rotate to keep them both involved as fielders.
I think the NL will eventually go to DH. Pitchers make too much money and already have enough arm issues that I think the NL will join the rest of the world.
Kong – I think there are going to be more inter league games because of the setup, so they’re trying to make it more fair for the AL teams
Ahh, so not really COVID related. Well, they’ve been trying to force the DH on the NL for years now, so this may be the beginning of the end of pitchers batting.
It’s in the collective bargaining agreement for next year to discuss so it very well could be

I can’t really argue against much in this one from Barry Jackson either
This doesn’t mean much to me based on how young our team is and how much turnover we had this offseason. We’ll know the answers once they play games whenever that will be.
I think the AFC East is wide open. The Bills are probably the frontrunners in most people’s opinions but year to year we know things change. The Pats lost a lot of talent including their G.O.A.T., so how can they be better? They showed signs of coming apart at the end of last year with Brady. The Jets are unpredictable for many reasons.
Tim, watch McCain playing S, he lines up about 25 yards from the LOS, then backpedals from there. He’s so far back he’s out of the picture, then when it comes his way he takes bad angles.
The pup reference was to him playing S, if he didn’t show signs he could play it last year, what makes you think he can this year?
It was more like 15 yards but that’s the formation. He wasn’t the only one doing that. We did that all year with multiple guys. The other 10 guys were all close to the LOS and then one deep safety.

Funny how reality doesnβt jive with some peopled perception of realityβ¦

if you take every 1st down thru out the game when teams fall behind they pass more so that skews your stats.
if you really want to break thru the clouds look at runs vs pass in the 1st and 2nd qtr.

Only two teams ran on first down more than passing on first down in the last two years and only four teams in the last 4 years. First down has become a passing down (LEAGUE WIDE)
_____________________________________________________
you cant see the forest thru the trees.
Doesn’t matter whether you run or pass on 1st down, it’s your success rate that will determine your chance of winning on most occasions.
I agree with what he’s saying, and like the fact he brought up about the Steelers saying on O their 48% success rate on 1st down was back of the pack, but on D they were #1. Doesn’t really matter what you do on either side of the ball, it’s the comparison of your O vs D % on first down that really matters.
In the 2 minute drill I take the first play in the drive and use it to guestimate the success rate of the drive.
Omar got the Q&A question, do we have a 1000 yard rusher. Initially I thought, based on the title this was a stupid article, it’s not if we have one it’s what the team rushes for, and he mostly said the same thing, but the interesting thing he said was we have the talent to make it happen.
When has Omar ever said that in the past? If Omar likes this team, the sky is the limitπ€
I don’t expect him to put up 5 yards a carry, but I do expect him to get all the carries he can handle. Same with Howard.
CBS top 10 CB rankings has Howard at 8 and Jones at 6, no other team has 2 in the top 10.
Whoever plays slot for us is going to get a ton of balls thrown his way, as is Rowe covering the TEs. Iggy get ready. He may get 5 ints this year just based on volume. He’s a former receiver too.
Might be exactly why they took a CB in the first when none of us expected it, especially since Howard and Jones are signed for a while.
We loaded up on DBs that’s for sure.
Based on where the contracts for Iggy and Hunt are slotted, they should count a total of 2M net, so the current figure of roughly 20.7M in cap space minus 2M leaves us with 18.7M in cap space once these last 2 sign.
” According to ESPNβs Adam Schefter, this yearβs Hall of Fame Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, originally scheduled for Aug. 6, is being canceled, and the Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony is being postponed.”
I’d love to share a beer with you, but you just popped in more details…… so doesn’t count. π
Selective social distancing.
Smart move cancelling the HOF game. Teams won’t be ready by then anyway.
Get their ass in gear!
Before they miss the next date!
At a minimum guessing preseason will be cut to 2 games. Could see them do that even if do a full camp. Less exposure at the facilities.
Man the anarchy going on this country is beyond absurd. Who the fuck do these assholes think they are?
Entitlelists
When the teachers feed these college students all that BS, then tell them, if they want to make a difference go protest. Most of them have no idea what they’re really protesting.
The Seattle mayor has now backed off her stance of let the anarchists have those 7 blocks, probably because a business owner is Sueing.
BLM Black Lives Matter (only when it fits the narative).
This is beyond BLM. This is a total assault on the citizens and police. They’re baiting police to do something wrong as they cause chaos. They’re all fuckheads!
That falls into the be careful what you wish for leftists category.
Are you referring to CHAZ, or something else?
All of it! Most of them don’t even understand what they’re doing.
Woohoo!!
Steve, I’m not a leftist. I have major issues with both parties. But I despise the far left even more because they want to destroy the country.
Yes I know, and I wasn’t referring to you. I was referring to the young dumb protesters.
Gotcha!
Hey, whatever works! Just play the games!
That is all that matters to me. I really don’t care what the heck else they do as long as we get some games to take our minds off of all the other crap. Give me my matrix pellet and let me zone out on some football.
The NFL can’t be any trashier, might as well sell the rest of their soul, and look like a minor league baseball park.
That NFL soul has been sold, dismantled, refurbished, reconditioned, repackaged and resold many times over. lol
Well, They’re looking to Kaepernick for guidance, that’s all you need to know
Lol at Tim being frustrated!
They tore down a statue here in WI of an abolitionist that fought slave hunters and then led a regiment for the union and died in the war. They are complete morons. LOL
Tearing shit down just because he was white…..
That’s how we know they’re brainwashed.
Still standing
Screw everyone else
Now this I can get behind!
Ohhhhhh, I wouldn’t get behind that!!!! π
Me and a few cows toppled that POS last night
The Swine Republic, all hail the mighty pig.
Ive gotten to where im over the whole arguing against things and trying to show the error of those ideas and how its all misplaced anger, so im just embracing the impending destruction. I would like whatever decisions that are made to be fair across the board, so let them have what they want but realize it is a double edged sword.
Take down all statues, you cant pick and choose the history you want to replace, just like you cant pick and choose what statues offend someone. Im pretty sure if you polled society, there is at least one group that has a problem with ever fucking statue out there. So erase all monuments to history, erase it all if you are hell bent on that, i dont think it overall changes much about this world at this point, though it in no way fixes anything.
Get rid of the cops while your at it, those poor bastards are being hung out to dry over people in their brotherhood that shouldn’t be there, but there is no reason to take their money, cut down the force to where they are grossly overworked and then take an sort of defense for themselves away and then expect them to go out and put their life on the line every day. I believe more shit like Atlanta is coming soon, so lets just rip the bandaid off and they all walk now. Thats what society wants right?
In every conflict there are two option, the world will find its way back to center, and it can either be on us to compromise, listen and work it our together, or it can burn and from the ashes reset and return to normal. We seem to really want the latter, so fuck it, why wait lets get this over with. Burn it to the ground so we can get to the rebuild. No one cares about compromise or healthy growth in life, so give them what they want so they can learn their lesson and grow that way.
Also im not a sides person, im not saying its one sided, its both and them is everyone as is they, etc. Both side just wants to be made and hate the other, middle ground people are literally just having to sit back, shut up and watch shit happen around them and its pretty frustrating.
beer ya first time I meet ya
Itβs safe to assume the more experience Wilkins gets in this defense the better he will get. Wilkins is a very smart man. Christian Wilkins earned his degree at Clemson in just 2 Β½ years. The first scholarship football player ever to do so.
This is an interesting tid bit from a PhinPhanatic Article
big learning curve on the DL, look at Paul Soliai
if you are putting players in a bubble for the entire season i would assume the same would have to be done with refs?
Refs are underpaid business men who have other jobs, they are not full time employees.
this would have to change, as well as the TV crew.
makes you wonder if all that is achievable?
Man, USA Today regurgitating negative stuff this morning!
6th “thinnest” roster and 3rd worst roster according to these two articles Kyle Crabbs put out today. (he is basically reposting other’s articles)
Those U75s aren’t capable of writing an article that makes sense. Because our roster was so thin, even though we made great moves this offseason, it’s still thin, because it was thin last year. WTF kind of logic is that?

At this point everybody will have to buy every body beers, guess everyone will just take turns buying a round for everyone thats there.
Oh shit! We were supposed to be keeping track??
Found out something that you floridians may already know. Looks like the Cuban tree frog, and invasive species, has made its way out of florida and into the New Orleans area after hitchhiking on palm trees that the Audobon Zoo bought and had brought in from Florida. These frogs cant survive colder climates, but the gulf is pretty temperate most of the year, even the costal areas in the northern part, so the seem to be taking over.
This is the first species i remember in a while that didnt come from China lol. Still im ok with it if the Cubans pay us restitution every year in cigars, and btw just to be proactive, if you dont want your, ill take it π
