Josh Allen is laughing . . . ALL OF BUFFALO IS LAUGHING . . . Today, the Buffalo Bills swaggered their way to a thoroughly demoralizing win over the upstart Miami Dolphins. The Bills basically planned to win this game with their starters or without them, that’s how you go into a game. It became more than that, much more than that. The Bills with Matt Barkley in at QB could have ran out the clock on offense up 35-13 in the 3rd QTR but instead, HC Sean McDermott decided to rub our noses in it and continued to attack through the air, all the way into the 4th QTR. Matt Barkley threw 13 times in the 2nd half, and not just dinks and dunks, but throwing downfield. All the way into the 4th QTR, the Bills were still throwing as Barkley threw a 56 yard bomb downfield for a TD. What purpose is this other than a show of dominance?
It’s one game, that’s all it is, but when I think back to the games in other seasons where we needed a win to stay in the playoff race, this is all too familiar. No way did I expect Brian Flores’s 2020 Miami Dolphins to get abused like this. I didn’t see it coming. I don’t have the desire to give you people past examples of Dolphins failures to show up in games like this but trust me, if you seek them they’re there, and this was no different. Different HC, different players, but same result. All the good things we did this season seemed to evaporate in one week.
The questions that require answers going forward is do we have a potential quality starter at QB in Tua Tagovailoa? How many WR’s are we allowed to draft in one draft class? If the Colts somehow fall to the Jacksonville Jaguars today can we really fly back to Buffalo next week? I’m going to imagine the Bills would open up as 2 TD favorites. I think the action would be extremely heavy on the Buffalo side pushing the spread closer to 3 TD’s.
If I can step back for a moment with calmer typing fingers (I can’t!!!), I can look at the rest of the 15 games we played and feel proud. Today just bitch-slapped that right out of my body. There will be no fond feelings about this season, and now I really have legitimate concerns that we might not have a QB. That hurts the most, although we are in a position to remedy that if we so choose. On the other hand, I just can’t imagine that happening and more than likely we will try and build around Tua, and to be fair, it still might be the right move. I’m just waaaay less unsure about that at the moment. I think about last week when the Browns played the Jets and Baker Mayfield didn’t have his top 3 WR’s due to COVID-19 and threw the ball 53 times and couldn’t find the endzone once, against the Jets no less. It wasn’t ideal for Tua to have to lean on a gimpy DeVante Parker, Lynn Bowden Jr. Malcolm Perry and twice cut Isaiah Ford.
So what happened to our once dominant defense, the #1 scoring defense in the NFL? I don’t have to tell you that stat went right the fuck out the window today, comically so, to the point we will likely be mid pack now, not quite #28 as I had joked earlier. Hey, all the games count, this one counted just as much as any other, if only we felt that way as a team and did something about it. I don’t have to explain, this article is cathartic, I’m releasing all the negativity with every keystroke. I’m still not rooting for the Jags though, I don’t know if I could take another week of football like this one back to back.
GO DOLPHINS 2021!!!

Rob, so, we lose the playoffs, have a complete team collapse, and you’re in here trying to score points off everyone because Tua didn’t get it done and you think it vindicates you. You use my comments out of context, and now want to revisit an old argument when I call you on it?
For what purpose?
Yes, please show me someone that says Tua has bad mechanics. That was the argument and you brought up.
——————
So I think I made it very clear our argument was about Tua’s mechanics. Yet your rejoinder is a Simms video where he never says Tua has bad mechanics.
Do you have an actual reason for bringing up my old comments on this matter, or is all just troll behavior?
We’re loaded to add talent and upgrade this team. Young players getting better matters too. Good stuff!
I trust Brian Flores in player development and I can assure you they will get Tua’s playing at a high level!
Help is on the way…..
Top 5 picks in the 2021 Draft set …
1) Jaguars
2) Jets
3) Dolphins
4) Falcons
5) Bengals
Endless opportunities!
We also have the 18th pick and 2 2nd round picks one being a top 4 pick in the 2nd!
Hey Markeyh, hope all is well. The #3 pick.
Stephen Ross should fly Bill O’Brien to the South Pacific just because. LOL
Totally agree!
Third pick. And first two should be QBs. So we choose btwn the 3rd best QB, trading the spot and the best non-QB in the draft. Not so bad.
I thinking trade down at this stage!
Or Tarde up from 18 to get another top 10 pick?
if you look at the BIG Picture we are only in year two of our rebuild and actually year one if you think about it!
LOL
it’s true…they tore things down in 2019…
A game away from the playoffs and a 10-6 record after 5-11 last year!
WTG Markey. Year 1! Lol
You know my motto…
Accentuate the Positive Eliminate the Negative!
🙂
Happy New Year!
$35 million cap space can also bring in some good players.
Exactly!
Another CB or pass rusher or Safety and use the draft to add young talent on offense…
Did you notice my mock draft?
Repost:
This was done by a draft simulator that offered trades and so as you will see at the end, I received the Panthers 2022 1st and 3rd round picks to trade the #3 pick of 2021 down to the 9th pick.
I still got who I wanted and added more picks for next year’s draft! Take that Chris Grier!!!!

The hits keep coming….
Gase officially now out. Lol
I sad to hear that I loved him where he was!
(Rob desperately searching youtube for any video with someone saying Tua has bad mechanics.)
(Rob calling a friend- “Can you please make a video saying Tua has bad mechanics and quickly upload it to youtube.”)
(Rob scouring old blog posts for something Kong has said in the past to contradict anything he is saying now…or he looks like an asshole.)

(Ha, Cav! Look at that!)
Fucking prick…
Just ORob being ORob. Don’t take it personal. Only about you cause you went down the worm hole
Comments like “Don’t take it personal.” only move the arrow in his direction, because it forces me to defend my motivation. It’s not helpful.
It’s has nothing to do with taking it personal. It’s about specifically calling out BS when it comes at me directly. If he wants to come at me, no prob, I’ll admit when I’m wrong, but don’t make shit up or play games with my old comments.
It’s either troll behavior or idiocy, and I won’t let either go by unchallenged when it’s directed at me. Not because I’m -oh so angry and taking it personally-, lol, but because I am capable of cutting through that crap and illustrating a bullshit statement or argument of that nature.
Markeyh, it’s #3 and #18. We can’t fuck up the 1st round of the last 3 drafts. 😉
#3, #18, #36, #50 — four out of the top 50 works for me.
That is nice for sure! It still doesn’t change who I want with those picks.
WR Smith
RB Harris
WR Toney
OC Dickerson, OC Myers or DT Barmore
LOL, this game is so bad. Both teams trading turnovers left and right.
Orob,
opinions dont need to be proved to anyone but Yourself. and often thats the best audience to prove it too, lol
keep it real bud, have a happy New year and trust that the Dolphins WILL build this team , BUT need another draft or two to do it
i think Miami will trade the #3 pick down, and get some extra picks
we could get Trey Lance early in the second round.
hes good for backup QB, or push Tua, and he can run and catch. a real playmaker
big guy, runs with power
Looked like the defense finally gave up hope today. They gave it everything and kept the stagnant offense in every game this year.
LOL, Philly loses on the ‘try to get you to jump offsides’ trick that never works.
i’m hoping they call offensive holding next year or I’m not sure exactly what kind of pressure teams will be able to put on QBs. It’s getting beyond ridiculous how unbalanced the NFL wants offense and defense. Scoring is fun, but watching the Big 12 as a professional league doesn’t sound as fun and will get kind of boring quickly.
Look ma! That QB just scored 10 TDs today! That’s nothing now, son. We have the greatest QBs of all time but defenders can’t get within the Covid distancing radius or get a 20 yard penalty. If you touch anything but a WRs flag, you will get ejected!
It just seemed like yesterday that all the media and a few others were all over Hurts nuts as the Next Big Thing. Sounds like he needs some work himself.
A good game or 2 and they’re the next big thing. Everything is put in microwave now.
Dang, Tanya Roberts RIP
alot of dukes mayonaisse was tossed over her back in the days
i heard the recorded audio of trump committing extortion and election fraud with GA election official Raffsperger, WOW, its a real smoking gun of evidence
he seriously loathes democracy and Americans, and only cares about himself, he should be charged and convicted for these federal and state felony charges
what a great F.O.!
They took our team to almost the playoffs in 2 short years!
what concerns me about this F.O, is it would appear they can’t pick an elephant among mice.
first mistake was giving up a 2nd for Josh Rosen, OK they did that so let’s move on, then they give up the 5th overall pick for Tua.
At the time i was against selecting Tua, i didn’t evaluate him like a pro org would do i just watched him play and had my doubts, that said i wasn’t sure about Herbet either.
I wanted to trade out of that #5 pick and take Jordan Love.
only time will tell if that would have been a correct move as Love sits behind Rodgers currently.
another questionable pick was Iggy.
back to taking this team to the brink of the playoffs, that sounds familiar, didn’t Gase do that as well? actually Gase got us into the dance, boy we couldn’t wait till next year!
I really think they cut the wrong guy when they cut Rosen, he clearly is the better QB between he and Tua.
looking on the other side of the coin they did bring in some good FA talent especially on the D and they have manipulated trades into high value picks
I still have my doubts, But i think Grier and whomever else is evaluating these draftable players have to do a better job,
I think it’s better when you are on the fence about a player to play it safe and get out of that position, trade back get more picks.
if you throw enough shit on the wall some is bound to stick.
The Jury is still out on this F.O. as far as i’m concerned.
your hate for TUa is unjustified, and your statements about him are untrue and biased,
You do NOT know more than Grier and FLores does, IMPOSSIBLE
Orob, with all due respect, well, maybe not all, lol but Grier and FLores are well known as being some of the best in the NFL<
you are well known for complaining about stuff that isnt true, it is what it is eh?
i hope all is well for you David.
i do for u also, sorry if i was a bit too blunt this morning, yesterdays game left a sour taste on what was a great season
Believe it or not, I did not wake up with the Monday morning loss hangover. Maybe cause I am tired since I was up half the night writing bonds or cause I missed the whole game yesterday when I had to go over to the next county. Anyway, I am excited about our direction.
on a side note, i went to the local grocery store to buy food, i’ve been hearing about this grass fed beef, i was looking at it comparing it to other beef, the difference was it was $12 for 4 patties, apprx $12 per lbs vs reg at 3.99 per lbs.
i was hesitant but decided to give it a try.
WOW! so that’s what real meat taste like.
it was great! much better than the grain fed BS
I agree. That’s all I buy. Living in Texas you think it’d be easy to get it, but it’s more profitable for ranchers and beef processors to send it elsewhere. So if I want U.S. beef it comes from Colorado (lol), otherwise Australian grass fed is what is available. When it comes to beef, it is certainly worth the extra $.
The Bills wide receivers were:
Cole Beasley (Drafted by Dallas) Free agent Signing
Stefon Diggs (Drafted by Minnesota) Trade
Isaiah McKenzie (drafted by Denver) Claimed on Waivers
Gabriel Davis (drafted by Buffalo)
John Brown (drafted by Arizona) Free Agent Signing
Andre Roberts (drafted by Arizona) Free Agent Signing
Add talent how we can. Get rid of Gailey.
For all the “discussion/lecture” about the QB position … our defense showed that it still lacks some pieces to defend against a high octane, motivated offense (even the backups for Buffalo knew what our weaknesses were).
We gave up 56 points!! As much improved as the defense was, I sincerely expect our top pick to be Micah Parsons … he’s a guy that will be on the field for every play, Flores can put him just about anywhere, even as edge rusher. Parsons, Baker, Van Noy means almost no missed tackles lol.
JSK (Owusu-Koramoah) is also versatile but toward the backfield … Parsons versatility leans toward the DL and pass rush. It’s really like getting two players for one pick.
If a legit rebuild from scratch takes 3 years, I just can’t see a non-QB skill pick at #3.
However, I can see a WR at #18 and RB at #36 (IF the guys we want are still there), then IOL at #54. Even Ohio State’s Olave could be there in early 2nd. I think WR is also deep in this draft. The high pick on a WR/RB seems to always have been 3rd Year of rebuild.
The OL depth in this draft is crazy good. 3r rd. could even produce outstanding players. LG Banks from ND (AP All American) declared for the draft yesterday. He’s the only guard, I believe, to rate above 80 in Both run and pass blocking. Projected 3rd round.
So, there it is. If we use the #3 I think it’s Parsons. A trade back would have to be to a spot where they think they still can get D. Smith. I know Parsons sat the year out, but when the Big 10 “cancelled the season” … then “started again” for 6 games, I understand Parsons decision. And Parsons could be the best to come out of “Linebacker U”.
I tend to agree if we stay @ 3
Rhino, I can agree also. OL and WR are deep and there are some very good WR’s who, for what ever reason will be available in the 6th and 7th round. There are 2 I really like and will put them in my next mock in a few. I will do it with you idea of going BPA at #3 with Parsons.
Rhino, I really liked how this turned out! I tripled down on WR. Was surprised that Tamorrion Terry was still there that late. Reason he falls that far every mock I do is he has some concentration issues with drops but dude is big 6’4 203 with with really good long speed. He averaged 58 yards a catch on his 9 TD’s in 2019.
3. Micah Parsons LB, Penn State
18. Najee Harris RB, Alabama
35. Kadarius Toney WR, Florida
50. Landon Dickerson IOL, Alabama
81. Christian Barmore IDL, Alabama (Sorry D, he was still there in top of 3rd)
119. Shaka Toney EDGE, Penn State
195. Quentin Lake S, UCLA
204. Marquez Stevenson WR, Houston
252. Tamorrion Terry WR, Florida State
Adding the speed and versatility of WR’s Toney and Stevenson do wonders for our offense along with the long speed of a big receiver in “Scary Terry”. I don’t care if he has the occasional dropsies. He gives us a huge target for Tua and can’t be any worse with the drops than Grant.
Rhino, I don’t want to just throw names out there so I am posting video’s for you. LOL
I have posted his before, but Marquez Stevenson kind of gives us what we would have gotten in DeVonta Smith with a little more meat on his bones, 6’0 190, but not as savvy as DeVonta. You have to see some similarities here.
Not sure if he actually falls that far but “Scary Terry” is big at 6’4 203 and deceptively fast. Long strider who can really accelerate after the catch. Also, has some good agility to run after the catch.
We would have heard a lot more about him if FSU hadn’t sucked so much with not so good QB’s over the last few years.
I like where I got Shaka Toney EDGE, Penn State. He has a lot of potential. Only issue is he seems like just an Edge player. At 6’3 240 I wish he had more versatility. Seems PSU mainly used him as a DE. I understand because he very quick off the snap but he is also fast for his size. They say he runs a sub 4.5 40. Seems he would have made a good Edge/OLB hybrid. He is good on stunts as well.

A good offense is a good defense and vice versa.
Hoping Zach Wilson and Justin Fields absolutely crush the pre-draft period. Even if we don’t want one of them…. more than enough teams looking for a potential franchise QB to create a #3 spot bidding war.
BBM, nice stuff. Harris at #18 is perfectly acceptable because of all the things he can do. Those first three rounds you killed it! 🙂
if you take measurements of tua throwing the ball,
1st measurement is how high the ball is in his hand at its peak, the other is how far away from his body the throwing motion is, the width.
Tua has a very low height and a very wide width. and couple that with the fact he’s barely 6ft in high heels.
Tua needs room to get the ball away, he stalls because his height and width are too cramped with surrounding players.
what makes a good QB is exactly the opposite.
you should want a guy who is high and tight, not low and wide
at 6ft tall Tua plays even smaller
It is real impressive how good he is given his height. Those OL guys are like 5-6 inches taller. But guess the other side of that is how he can run. Was great to see him doing that more yesterday. He picks good spaces and angles.
Gailey is OUT as of 9 minutes ago
Not unexpected. He’s retirement age. You do one of these rebuilds and you bring in the crafty old vet for stability then more on once you have a solid base like we do.
… and as much as a week ago Gailey wouldn’t comment on if he will return for 2021. For all we know, he and Flores and a one-and-done deal for that ‘stability’ you mentioned.
Wow lost 5 spots due to the shellacking yesterday!
Sounds like the Parcells “Football Czar” gig.
Hey, BBMike,
What do you think of Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia? Don’t know if he’d fit our Defense, but I know I’d make him fit. That kid is a very unique freak who somewhat reminds me of young Bruce Irvin. He shows all of the natural instincts (coupled with his freakness) to make it big in the NFL.
What say you?

Observation: you’re going to need somebody with a last name like Tone. That would then complete our version of “Tony! Toni! Toné!”.
lol
The Buffalo Bills announced on Monday that they have signed the veteran wide out Kenny Stills to the team’s practice squad. Must be some Covid rule that let them do that and that Stills will be on the 53 soon if in shape.
Also signed Tyler Gentry. He was one of Allen’s main targets in collage.
M13, I liked Azeez Ojulari. Then I watched the Cincy vs UGA bowl game and now I like him a ton! I think he would fit. He seems to have that OLB/Edge versatility much like Joseph Ossai of Texas. I just have not talked about him or many other 1st or 2nd round EDGE/OLB prospects like him since I have been focusing on skill players, OL and DL first 3 rounds. If he is there at pick #50, I would almost have to pull that trigger. That’s the beauty of this next draft as we have a lot of flexibility to get who we want.
I selected Shaka Toney because he was the best (I felt) there at #119 and felt it was time to address pass rush. I like Oweh better but he will be gone by #119 as he was in this mock. Toney, IMO is still a little raw but has a ton of talent, quickness and speed that I think this staff can get the best out of and bring him to his full potential. That goes for anyone they bring in really.
I shouldn’t do so many mocks before free agency anyway but I can’t help it. LOL
looks good late 1st early 2nd
how about trading for Carson Wentz? hit our cap at 15m in 21 with 59m guaranteed til 24?
may be able to work out a good deal with philly due to his cap hit.
That is too expensive for a backup QB
give philly #3 go to #6 and get wentz?
I don’t think some will be available when I got them?
But I like it!
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 3: Micah Parsons, ILB/OLB, Penn State (A)
Round 1 Pick 18: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama (A+)
Round 2 Pick 3: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama (A-)
Round 2 Pick 18: Azeez Ojulari, DE/OLB, Georgia (A)
Round 3 Pick 17: Alec Lindstrom, C/OG, Boston College (A)
Round 4 Pick 18: Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa (A+)
Round 6 Pick 28: Tyler Vaughns, WR, USC (A+)
Micah Parsons at 3?
we have Baker and Roberts, I’d rather have the tackle
BBMike and ORob,
I’d be looking at Azeez around our R2P4 selection. It’s still very early in the Draft process, but his film is intriguing to me… and film is a HUGE part of the Draft process. Hopefully he’s a jovial person and willing to learn: that’s the interview part of the process.
That guy can BEND like
BeckhamBruce Irvin, and he ATTACKS with his hands and arms FIRST… excellent traits.PLUS, he’s an SEC player!
Bummer of a way to end what was a fun and encouraging season. I feel really good about Flores and the culture around our team. I love Tua, but he has a long way to go. We knew he wasn’t the type of QB that would impose his will on the league via athletic gifts. He’s a Brees-type that will only be as successful as his understanding and comfort with the game is. That takes years to develop. Hopefully, we nail the draft and infuse the offense with some talent. I think Sewell will be an elite tackle for years in the league. Watched him shut down some really good pass rushers with ease. I’m always in support of trading down and this might be a golden opportunity for it.
Disappointed, but plenty to be optimistic about for next year. We can compete for a title if Tua develops. If not, keep looking.
Hey drg, it was crushing. I’ll have a more realistic article coming Thursday, a season recap if you will . . .
Nice take…mostly because I agree entirely, lol.
Rob – Are you just literally obsessed with big QB’s? Wentz can’t stay on the damn field but you want to eat his huge contract? Buy Tua some fucking platform shoes, will ya!!! lol
Rob seems pretty fond of high heels though.
I like Wentz, but then I like a lot of other 20+ mil per year QBs as well. Say we go out and get Mahomes.
I think getting another individual pass rusher has to be a top priority for the defense. Playing a bunch of cover 0 and blitzing all the time to get pressure works against lesser QBs, but it’s a recipe for disaster against the elite QBs in this league.
I also wonder if Jones is worth his contract. I’m not sure that matters because we have a huge dead cap hit for the next two years, so he’s ours until 2023. But I’d much rather pay X and lose Jones than the other way around.
At the safety spots, McCain and Rowe were adequate, but they very rarely made impact plays at the position. I don’t know if that is a function of how our defense works, or if it is the players not being playmakers.
On offense, we all know we need playmakers at the skill positions. I love Gaskin at RB, but we also need a bigger back to pair with him. We need 2 new WRs at the top of the chart that can actually stay healthy. I think we’re good at TE.
Then of course the big question is Tua. Was Gailey keeping handcuffs on him and not letting him throw down the field because he needs more time to develop? Or was Tua not taking the shots that were there? If our FO doesn’t make a move at QB, we know what they think of him. If they don’t like where he is at, then now is probably the last best time this regime will have an opportunity to get another guy at the top of the draft.
I think they’ll stay with Tua, but if he doesn’t progress next year, taking Tua over Herbert may end up being this regime’s lasting impression. Either way, I really hope Gailey is replaced.
Sour way to end the season, and yesterday was a nightmare, but the fact is we made progress as a team. That is undeniable. We should be better as a team next year. Hopefully we see a big jump from Tua and fill those holes. Going to be a long offseason.
A positive note on Tua, is we were most, if not all, worried about his holding up physically and he came through the season only missing one game for injury.
Physically he looked awesome. Started running more at the end of the season though. Not sure if that was health or getting more used to the field. What like about him is the laser throws short. Not many QBs can do that.
Yep, and he’s smart about getting down and not taking the unnecessary hits. Although I was screaming at my TV for him to take the hit and get into the endzone on that one play he slid around the 5 when it looked like he might be able to get in.
I think that play really illustrated how he’s overthinking and not playing instinctually. It’s our final game if we lose it, make the play instead of protecting yourself since there is no tomorrow. He didn’t slide because he was scared, it’s because it’s what he is being taught and he is still in the process of learning instead of just doing.
That also translates to reading the field and deciding on where to throw the ball. I see a QB who is overthinking. Does he have the capacity to move beyond this stage? We’ll find out next year.
So was Gailey fired or not?
LOL, that was my first question after catching up on the comments. At this time, he is still the Dolphins OC.
Congratulations to Mike E / Go with the Flo for his second ? FMU Championship title… ER gave him a good run but got burnt by week 17 sit outs.. thank you to all for your patronage this year , hope to have ya’ll back next year with a few tweaks to scoring/scheduling , May 2021 be a much better year for all and also our beloved Fins
Thanks Toba! Kelce sitting out is precisely why Week 17 playoffs aren’t fair. Thanks for running it again Toba, appreciate that!
Not a problem Sur , it makes me feel a little relevant 🤡
Congrats Mike E! Toba League ain’t easy to win…. says a guy who didn’t make the playoffs. 🙂
And Hell no to Wentz he looked like crap all year when he WAS able to play.
I admit I was wanting Burrow , but HEY he was gone and FO decided to take Tua .. looking to load him up with some weapons and hope he takes it up a notch or two next year .. also hope that Fitz sticks around for a while as a QB/ player coach. Very smart man who understands the game , think he would do well in a coaching role … and yeah PLEASE replace Gailey
If Wentz can’t perform playing for Doug Peterson not sure a change of scenery is going to do it for him
TEAM PICKS

Dang, thought I was hitting the reset button on the WR room with 3. lol
Cav,
I wouldn’t want to lose Jones given how much our defense relies on the secondary. I agree that we need better pass rushing options. We rarely got pressure rushing four. Overall, I don’t have too many complaints with our defense. They were a huge part of the 10 wins. Bottom line, we have to score more points to succeed in the NFL.
I am shocked how good Herbert looked this year. It makes me question the Oregon staff. He looked very average there. I hope we don’t use a high pick on a QB this year. Tua can get the job done, I hope….
Gailey didn’t ask Tua to do more than he was capable of, but he also didn’t give him enough opportunities to show what he can do. At times, he flourished in empty, up-tempo sets, but we rarely did that. I thought the Buffalo game was a perfect opportunity to let it fly and give him the chance to win the game for us. Gailey waited far too long and by the time he opened it up the Bills knew exactly what to expect. It would have been much more difficult to bring pressure and confuse him when they had to respect other aspects of the offense. Time to let Gailey “retire”.
We have Jones for 2 more years before his cap hit is manageable, so he’s ours, like it or not. He’s a solid corner, but I don’t see top of the league with him which is what he’s being paid. Once we add some pass rush, we shouldn’t have to rely on that secondary as much as we do. But we do obviously need to score more, and that will help the defense too.
Mike,
I don’t know about you, but I’ve become numb to the losing. I try to enjoy the wins and hope for the best. It sucks, lol.
I thought we were past it though drg, I really did. I felt like the Flores led Dolphins were different and they smacked me back to reality trying to believe that. I still think they’re different, but Buffalo is a lot different than they used to be, they’re upper echelon now and they rubbed our noses in it pretty good to show us where we stand.
I feel the same way as you. I’d say they we are about where the Bills were last year or the year before. The difference is their QB took a major step forward, and they added a couple of bigtime playmakers at wideout this year.
Good, because we need to be a lot better.
I can see Chan Gailey just walking away from football, whether he was going to be fired or not. I don’t see him coming back next season. Time to find someone who makes Tua their project.
Who would you suggest?
Yes, it pizzes me of that Steve Sarkisian is going to be the new HC of Texas.
If we move on from Chan Gailey or he walks away, we might promote from within – maybe TE coach George Godsey. He’s been a QB coach and was OC with Houston in 2015 and 2016 when they won the AFC South both of those seasons. He also has experience with our personnel.
I mentioned the TE Coach below before I read your comment you are correct I believe
🙂
M – I have no idea, finding coordinators isn’t my thing. I just want someone who isn’t at the end of the rope, someone who wants to hang around for a while to see this through, know what I mean?
I think the team is getting the TE coach ready to slide in.
Wentz sucks ass
You want to trade for someone give the Texans back their picks and get Deshaun and give him a ten year contract.
All for an expensive backup
DRG sighting 💥💪🐬
Happy New Year doc
Deshaun or JJ and you can have your picks back, lol
Get this guy for your OC!!!!!!!!!!!
Not saying he can’t do it but he’s only been an interim OC when he was interim HC with BUF in 2016. So he basically made himself the OC. LOL
Lynn was promoted to assistant head coach and offensive coordinator of the Bills when Greg Roman was fired.[8][9] When asked what he wants his offensive identity to be, Lynn responded, “I want to play smart, physical football. I want to be explosive down the field… We’re going to play a little bit faster and see if we can put a little pressure on the defense. Just execute.”[10] Lynn made his debut as offensive coordinator against the Arizona Cardinals, pulling out a 33–18 win.[11]
Lynn became the interim head coach on December 27, 2016, after Rex Ryan was fired.[12]
Okay I wasn’t bashing him or anything. Just saying limited experience as an OC. But he’s been a HC so he might be a great addition.
How Gailey retired earlier today.
“ESPN, which reported both on TV and on its website that Gailey was out, appears to have been fooled by a prankster posing as Adam Schefter on Twitter. Someone at ESPN saw the fake Schefter tweet, thought it was really Schefter and then passed it along so that both SportsCenter and ESPN.com passed along the report, attributing it to Schefter.”
So back to what M13 and I discussed weeks back about Tua, I think we’re going to see a mentally and physically improved version. He learned a lot this season and got a lot of playing time. This offseason he gets to condition himself like everyone else rather than rehabbing and trying to get back to football. Not sure if he will get back to the quickness and speed he had before the hip injury, but maybe he will. Because I know he’s not running at that level right now. You can see it even in the open field.
As for Chan Gailey, his presence wasn’t just about play-calling. He’s well respected in the football world both college and the pros as a teacher, specifically with young players. I think we saw that this year will all the young players stepping up. So his presence was very valuable to Tua and the rest of the offense. I think that is why Flores brought him in. They knew they were going young on offense and wanted a great teacher. I think a seamless transition to George Godsey makes a lot of sense.
My buddy is trying to tell me that the reason Tua was put in as starter for the rest of the season was due to the F.O. knowing this was just the beginning of the rebuild and didn’t expect to go as far as we did. Says they did this to audition Tua on the NFL level to see if he has what it takes. They did this knowing we had the draft capital to draft another QB this year and keep or trade Tua.
I told him he was full of shit.
Tua was drafted like every other young QB taken high in the draft.
“Says they did this to audition Tua on the NFL level to see if he has what it takes.”
Really? So what’s the difference with every other rookie QB? Some people just like to create stories out of boredom. LOL
If that’s the case then they screwed the pooch, after watching Tua play i doubt he has any trade value.
You’re relentless. LOL
No I’ll look at it that way. 2021 was always going to be a big offseason to take the team to the next level. We just didn’t know that the Houston picks would be so high. 🙂
Bbm, i have to agree with your buddy.
Do i think he can, yes, but he needs to do better. Hands down and don’t think it’s debatable. I don’t think he’s ruined yet.
He gets this off-season to hone his craft. Let’s see what he does!
I’m the Bills of our fantasy league….lose the super bowl every year. Lol
Congrats Mike E!!
Congrats Mike!!!
He’s a jerk!
He beat ER and Me on the way to his championship
What a jerk! All we were trying to do was beat him. We didn’t deserve to be beaten by him!
This sounds like a pretty bad idea to me
The 3 pick is pretty valuable
If the nfl thinks we want to take a QB at 3 that increases the value
Wtf Chris Mortenson – we don’t need to do you bad ideas
BS
Lol
WTF?!!!!
PERSPECTIVE: After yesterday’s football game, Miami’s players got to fly home to sunny south Florida where the girls are prettier, the highs are in the ’70’s, and the taxes are far lower.
Conversely, the Bills’ players got to go home to freezing temperatures laced with snow, girls with braided armpits, and taxes that are, well, at New York state levels, which is to say confiscatory.
————
Then there’s the history of the two franchises. Miami comfortably leads the all-time series between the two clubs partly because they defeated the Bills TWENTY CONSECUTIVE TIMES DURING THE 1970’S !!! — Oh, well, any team can have a bad decade, right?? BUT this “O for the decade” is unique in the annals of the NFL!! — And speaking of “UNIQUE,” how about the one and only PERFECT SEASON BY THE ’72 DOLPHINS?? —- OR THEIR EQUALLY UNIQUE 32-2 RECORD FOR THE 1972 AND 1973 SEASONS?? Buffalo has nothing close to those achievements, and NEVER WILL. — And just remember this: The “O” in BUFFALO always will stand for their sum total of Super Bowl wins!!
————
IN the 1950’s, (when my family actually LIVED in the Buffalo area) Buffalo had over half a million residents and was one of the 20 largest cities in the U. S. – – NOW, their population is around 200,000 and Buffalo is not in the list of the 50 largest U.S. cities !! – – That’s WHY they have BUFFALO fan clubs in FLORIDA but no MIAMI fans in BUFFALO !!!! – – According to an article I read in U.S.A. TODAY, Buffalo has over 40,000 abandoned homes and businesses that need to be plowed under, but, despite incredibly high taxes, they DON’T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY ON HAND to get that job done or, even started !!!
———–
Believe me, the Bills 56-26 win over Miami will NOT change the fact, I say “the FACT,” that weather wise, Miami is much better, football wise, Miami’s history is much better, and tax/ambiance wise, if Miami is America’s playground, Buffalo is America’s cesspool. THAT’s not an opinion, that’s a FACT!!
———-
NEXT FOOTBALL SEASON, Miami’s Dolphins will be better than they were this season. As for the BILLS, they MAY get as far as the AFC Championship. But, alas, their 61st season will end like the prior 60. No NFL Championship. No Super Bowl Championship. And, by next season, there will be fewer people living in the Greater Buffalo region to witness their 61st consecutive season of ultimate futility. But, hey, there’s ALWAYS those sub-zero blizzards to cuddle up in,right ??
———
Sleep tight tonight, Dolfans. Revel in your team’s historic achievements. Enjoy the beauty that is south Florida !! Better days are coming for our favorite team. But you sure as hell can’t say that for the city of Buffalo or their Super Bowl winless franchise !!
Nothing against drafting lineman on both sides of the ball. Wilkins 1st and Deiter 3rd in 2019 and then in 2020 Jackson 1st, Hunt and Davis 2nd and Kindley 4th, maybe we need more impact skill players on either side of the ball this time around.
Unless we get an offer we can’t refuse, I think Micah Parsons is our guy at #3. Sure things can change but I think he is the perfect fit for our defense.
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/micah-parsons-nfl-draft-player-profile-penn-state-linebacker/
I wasn’t happy about him opting out.
But I’m a grumpy old bastard!
He did it to get ready for his professional career. You can’t blame a guy for setting up himself and his family for life.
Not saying he’s going to be as great but he reminds me of the Giants drafting Lawrence Taylor in 1981. He will do whatever you ask him to do. He’s a special talent.
WYOMING: Are you old enough to have seen Jim Kiick play at Wyoming??–I saw him on television when the undefeated Cowboys lost to LSU in the Sugar Bowl. I said to myself,”He’d sure look good in a Dolphins jersey!”
No OD I was alive but my interest in breasts differed back then!
Tim
I think Parsons is a great fit for our D
And the reality is we can use the next few picks for weapons
I would not mind a draft like this
1a Parsons
1b Najee Harris
2a WR
2b WR
I think we have to see what we do in free agency
But although I think WR is our biggest need. I don’t think that means we need to make our first pick our biggest need
Parsons blows up plays that we don’t on a regular basis. He makes a difference.
My early mock draft now that the season is over. Just playing around but kind of realistic. 🙂
#3 LB Michah Parsons, PSU 6-3 245
#18 RB Najee Harris, ALB 6-2 230
#36 ED Zaven Collins, Tulsa 6-4 260
#50 WR Chris Olave, OSU 6-1 190
#82 WR Tylan Wallace, OKLS 6-0 190
Who are you?
And what have you done with Tim? 😉
What do you mean? 🙂
Tim… I have been a Parsons hound for quite some time so I love your draft… but Olave at #50??? I hope your draft opponents have jobs in the NFL. lol
Okay but I see a really good football player in Olave. Runs good routes, gets separation and has good hands. Plays on STs too. Played against high level competition in his college career. I picked him at #50 not 1st round. LOL
Today is going to be a monstrous day in deciding the direction the country takes for the next 2 years.
Why?
Georgia election runoff for 2 seats in the Senate. If the dems take both seats they gain control of the Senate to go along with the House of Reps and Presidency.
And nothing will change. Just the money is filtered to different rich people. While the other side throws tantrums. Rinse repeat….
In the broader sense, I have the same view, but in the short term a united dem congress and president means a bigger shift in liberal policy being implemented, whereas a GOP Senate means more bipartisan policy or stalemated agendas.
That matters to the vast majority of Americans even if most of those same people don’t understand the mechanics.
Tanya Roberts isn’t dead anymore, so that’s nice.
Good for her, she’s resilient that one
Even though I’d prefer the GOP maintain control, the power dynamic of a 50-50 Senate would be interesting to watch. A powersharing agreement would have to be agreed upon similar to in 2000. The dems would have de facto control with the VP being the deciding vote.
McConnell would no longer be able to control agenda as the dem representative would certainly be the majority leader, but there would be allowances by the agreement that wouldn’t be there if the dems had an outright majority.
The NY Knicks have a winning record. This is really is a momentous day Kong.
Rhino
I think Olave at 50 is fine. There’s a group of WRs after the big 3 (Waddle, Smith and Chase) that can go anywhere from lTe first round to the start of day 3. Olave is in that pack and might be one of the most reliable. I’m curious to see who will be the 4th WR off the board. I’m thinking it will be Marshall the other LSU WR, but it’s can be any of several WRs
Some one is probably going to have a great combine and become WR #4 of the draft
Rashod Bateman Minnesota
Yeah – he’s a good guess for the 4th off the board too
Michael Lombardi was just on WQAM basically saying that Grier and Flores have to draft another QB early in this draft and admit they made a mistake drafting Tua. He mentioned “Affirmation VS Information” Affirmation is you affirm your belief that Tua just needs weapons, but Ryan Fitzpatrick played and succeeded with those same weapons. Information is that Tua just isn’t good enough.
Personally, I think Mike Lombardi should go fuck himself, he was a shitty exec and a failure (Information!) and his Affirmation that Tua sucks will turn out to be he’s wrong again and that in reality, it’s HE who sucks (Information!)
Let’s take advice from the guy who drafted Johnny Manziel and JaMarcus Russell
Right?
Tim,
just to clarify my “Olave” comment above. I think your getting him at #50 (should it be #54 or did you trade up) is a HUGE Steal!! He’s a “separation” guy that we desperately need. If we get your first four picks (Parsons, Harris, Collins, and Olave) I will turn off the draft with total satisfaction. 🙂
Does Olave like warm hugs?
Tim, I like Tylan Wallace. I think he is a very good receiver and route runner. He is no speedster. I think projected to be a 4.45 – 4.5 speed. With that said, his route running, YAC abilities and superb hands is what sets him apart for me. When I watch him, he looks every bit of a sub 4.5 guy meaning what speed he has translates right to the field when he has the pads on. If that makes any sense. Put all his abilities together along with some toughness, (I almost hate to make this comparison) he reminds me of a little faster Landry. Just IMO.
Agreed. I want WRs that are football players, not just clock speed. We’ve seen how those just crazy speed guys don’t pan out.
I am not the biggest fan of Chris Olave at #50. IMO, Tylan Wallace gives you much more in a WR. You will see when he runs the 40 at the combine. He will run at least a half second slower if not more than Tylan Wallace and may even be closer to a 4.6 40. He has run some slow times in his past. He is a very crafty route runner which attributes to his success. You see him open over the top and I think that has a lot to do with his crafty route running and having a strong armed QB who gets a lot of time to throw behind a really good OSU OL. Just IMO, again.
Rhino, wait until the combine before you call Olave a steal at #50. Just my 2 cent.
Get ready for 4 months of non-stop talk about replacing Tua….. and I’m not even talking ORob. Grier and Flores want other teams to think we might take a QB at #3 in case a bidding war starts for whichever QBs are available there (not even a lock the Jets take one).
So the front office won’t only not be saying “Tua is our man”….. might even be feeding the frenzy that he is not.
They say Chris Olave runs around a 4.5 40. May be accurate and you couple that with his good route running, it’s what makes him successful in that OSU offense. Prior to the 2018 college football season he ran a 4.73 40 at a Nike combine. I’m having a little trouble thinking he has gotten that much faster in 2.5 years. I’m not saying it is not possible, especially at OSU with everything they have at their disposal in training and making players bigger and faster.
