2021 Position outlook – OL

Our offensive line going forward, assuming there are no cuts or trades sets up relatively economically. The highest paid lineman is last years big FA acquisition, LG Ereck Flowers. As expected, he was somewhat overpaid as free agent pickups usually are. I thought Flowers played well, especially in the run game, he is a mover, often getting the best of his man and getting a good push downfield. The big question will be who plays center in 2021. Ted Karras was signed to a 1YR deal last season and is an UFA. Third year OG/C Michael Deiter played 2% of the snaps and played in all 16 games as a ST’s player and backup. He did play most of the backup snaps at C. It’s possible he’s the answer at center next season or perhaps we acquire a center in the draft. Deiter did play 93% of the snaps in 2019 at LG The Dolphins got a first hand look at the Senior Bowl at 2 potential draftees in Oklahomah’s Creed Humphrey and Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Quinn Meinerz. Humphrey could be one of the earlier centers off the board, probably not until RD2-RD3 while Meinerz would be a later pick. It’s also possible Ted Karras gets re-signed.

1st RD draft (#18) started 12 games and played in 13 games missing a couple due to injury. He was acceptable, not dominant in any way, but consider he had just turned 21 and has a lot of growing to do. I think he clearly has his best football ahead of him. A full offseason of working out and training camp will have him in better shape to start the season. The other 2 draftees that played a good amount of the time on the O-line were 4th RD pick Solomon Kindley who played 70% of the snaps at both RG and then LG when Ereck Flowers was injured. Robert Hunt (2nd RD) played RT and played 68% of the snaps. Both of these guys are veritable mountains. Kindley did have trouble pulling which is expected from such a large man (6’3 340). Hunt while not as heavy as Kindley is still a big man at 6’5 330. Those 2 guys provided some nice run blocking when they were both on the right side.I’d say they were adequate at pass blocking. I never felt like the O-line was a sieve as I have felt in many years watching this team play.

My preference would be to draft a center, and he would compete with Michael Deiter for the starting job. The aforementioned Creed Humphrey could be one the first centers off the board. Other top center prospects are Alabama’s Landon Dickerson, Ohio State’s Josh Myers along with Trey Hill from Georgia. If T Penei Sewell is available at our pick, and he should be at #3 if we stay there, he’d be an upgrade over Austin Jackson or Robert Hunt but I don’t think we go that way. Weapons for Tua come in different packages and top OT to protect him wouldn’t be a bad thing but my feeling is we’ll continue to let young Austin Jackson develop at LT and go forward with big Robert Hunt at RT. I think we’ll be looking for playmakers for Tua with our first pick whether at #3 or later. Think Ja’Marr Chase or DeVonta Smith.

GO DOLPHINS 2021!!!

avocado is a super food loaded with omega 3
    —————-
This is 100% factual. I eat an avocado (whole) at least one a week, sometimes 2 or 3 times. Put a little bit of salt and pepper on it, and it’s very tasty… at least to me.

  5. Randy's avatar Randy says:

Avocados look like baby shit. Nasty things. And tequila is evil. A bottle of that shit was at the start of many bad things back in college. Ever play fuzzy duck or up and down the river with a bunch of college kids in a dorm room and a bottle of Jose Cuervo? Fuck.

everyone eats omega6, you should want a 1 to 1 ratio of omega 6 & omega 3, but most foods are just loaded with 6, avocados are a good source of omega 3, when you eat a fatty steak you should do an avocado as well, load it with pink salt and pepper they are great, another super food are sardines. loaded with nutrients and omega 3, a small fish that doesnt live long so its exposure to mercury is limited. stay away from big fish such as swordfish, they are loaded with mercury.

yes however blueberries are a little high on the glycemic level, i try to avoid fructose, my preferred fruit is also a berry, a strawberry, lowest fruit on the glycemic scale.
i love strawberries. try to stay away though, maybe twice a week.

As an FU from the NFL, we may be playing at the Gmen as an added 17th game, and in London this year, having 7 home games and 10 road games.

Who comes up with this unfair BS? Belicheat?

Anyone with half a brain would say we should have 8 home/away and 1 in London or 8 home/away and 9 home/away.

Why is it that we always get the scheduling shaft? The biggest scheduling advantage is playing home on Thursday, but we’ve only had 1 the last 6 or 8 years.

  22. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Steve – Not so much the 17 game season but more on the Dolphins getting 7 home games and 10 road games. That’s sounds absurd. Even if it’s 8 home games, counting the London game as 1 of our home games, they can’t do both of those to the same team. If you play overseas you should get an extra home game, not lose one.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

You would think we’d get 8 home games, if we had to play in London, but I’m just stating what I read.

Our stupid ass teams seems to request dumb ass shit for scheduling

  23. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

The NFL before FA was more like communism or socialism, because it wasn’t an open market of players getting a say in where they played.

As part of the new NFL with FA, it’s more like capitalism. With that said, when a player signs a contract he gets a larger amount, than he would’ve before FA.

In the collective bargaining agreement are rules that state how contracts can be terminated before the term is up, such that if a player isn’t deemed worthy of remaining on a team they can cut him, and only have to pay the guaranteed portion remaining.

That’s the tradeoff for allowing players to be FAs. Players get freedom to sign with any team and whatever sum of money they can get.

In the case of Watson you hear all of these former players in the media saying he should be able to request a trade. Why should the owners be able to cut a player, but players can’t holdout or say they won’t play for their under contract team?

These players want to have it both ways, and are always crying, when they don’t get their way, and the media is always sticking up for them.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I look at it a different way, but more or less agree with you. The system is negotiated with a union acting on behalf of the players and then they get to do what they can within what is set up.

The ones I feel sorry for are the kids out of college. They have no choice where to play and their salary is set. That breaks anti-trust laws, but then that is why the NFL has an exemption on those.

I make ghee all the time for the flavor. It’s basically clarified butter that is cooked a lot longer before removing the milk solids so you get that wonderful nutty flavor. I don’t want Trump to run in ’24 so if he loses, I won’t shed a tear. On the other hand, in some way I feel like it empowers the Democrats so I hope he wins. Either way it’s not going to be a good ending.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

It’s not really about winning or losing. Was clear from the start that wouldn’t be enough GOP Senate votes to convict. But what happened on Jan 6 in the Capitol is fascinating, to me at least. Yesterday’s evidence showed how very close the rioters got to grabbing at least some of the legislators.

Talking Sen Romney walking right towards them until a Capitol cop tells him to run like hell the other way. Pence and his family got hustled out of the Senate chamber with just a couple minutes to spare. Nothing like that in our lifetime.

The Dolphins have had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL over the past half-decade and trotted out rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa into a minefield this past season because they treated their offensive line as an afterthought. Laremy Tunsil, who they traded away, and 2019 third-rounder Michael Deiter were the only two offensive linemen they drafted before the fifth-round between 2016 and 2019.”
      —————
While PFF is ignoring the emergence of our rooks of last year, that is an incredible fact that they mention… and Deiter has been a major disappointment thus far.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

They didn’t have to mention the OL rooks until they said Tua was walking into a minefield. Saying what we got for Tunsil would have been fair too. What you get from some guy trying to come up with something for all 32 teams. And guessing Charles Harris wasn’t sexy enough.

According to Barry Jackson, Phins would like to extend Sanders long-term. I say heck yeah.

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I think Sanders should be a no-brainer. I’m curious to see if we keep Haack. He was great at avoiding touchbacks, but very average in distance- both gross and net.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Maybe because every conservative demonstration for the last year has been physically attacked by the left? That the authorities have allowed it to happen and the democratic caucus has encouraged it?

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Fair enough to what was going through their minds, but what were the zip ties for?

      • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

Keeping Antifa/counter-protesters out of the fight once they were down? I don’t know what runs through the minds of people who go to a protest expecting violence. When you do that you are committing yourself to doing violence in return or being a victim.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Don’t know what was in their minds either…. but that is part of the point. These were crazies who got on planes to be there. Beat cops with flag poles holding “Blue Lives Matter” flags.

      • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

And there were crazies burning black business under the banner of Black Lives Matter for the last year. Mob mentality – pitchforks and torches. Doesn’t make for an insurrection.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Never said it did make for an insurrection, but surely the place and time of this riot was not a coincidence. Makes it a bit more political than a riot and looting thing.

Especially when almost all there got on planes from all over the country to attend a yes Trump rally and he told them to head on over to the Capitol. But do think Trump has plausible deniability.

    • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

You did call them insurrectionists in the original post. So I figured you considered it an attempted insurrection. I don’t agree that it’s more political; it was only different in that it scared the politicians who gave cause for it rather than some innocent citizens. And if one is going to protest the validity of a Presidential election what better time and place. As for airplanes, almost every protest in DC is made up of people from somewhere else. You know that.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Put it quotes for a reason — “insurrectionists”…… was trying to put that in question. But does sees if you are going to do an insurrection the US Capitol is a likely place for it.

As for getting on a plane….. was trying to differentiate from the other rioting and looting you brought up, which was done by locals.

But yes agree that one side of this was that it was a political protest gone bad. Part of why I said Trump has plausible deniability. He sure wanted a big protest at the Capitol but didn’t necessarily know what would happen.

I’m agreeing with you more or less, even if throwing a few other thoughts in.

Sad note. Lindbergh Pedro Lopez passed away yesterday evening. Who is he?

Mr. Lopez had to leave home at age of 14 along with his older brother because, in the early 1940’s, his parents could no longer take care of him and his 8 siblings. He lived on the streets for a year living off handouts and working for bread. At age of 15, he decided he wanted to be part of something big and help his country fight in WWII.

Why? Cause the stories his father had always told him to fight for your liberty and fight for your country. His father fought along side Pancho Villa in 1913. He has a photo of his father with Poncho Villa. He could no longer fight due to injuries. When Pancho Villa took the fight south to Mexico City his father headed north and left Mexico for America. With nothing his father made his way to New York City to make a new life. His father changed his name from Acosta to Lopez and met Mr. Lopez’s mother a Dutch-Canadian.

Mr. Lopez went to the Marine Corps and they wanted his birth documentation. He told them he does not have any and he was homeless. He lied and said he was 18. Six months later he found himself in France fighting in WWII. Years later he found himself still in the Marine Corps but on the other side of the world fighting in Korea. After Korea, he was emotionally exhausted and got out after serving 10 years. The military was the only thing he knew. Quickly missing military life, he joined the Army less than a year later. He worked his way up to Master Sergeant and years later, in 1965-67, he found himself again fighting half way around the world in Vietnam. He ended up retired after 30 years of faithful service.

In the later years of his career, he found God. After his military career he worked as a Deacon for the Shelby County Baptist Assoc. for 30 years.

He spent the last 6 years of his life living with his beautiful daughter and son-in-law in Florida.

This is who Lindbergh Pedro Lopez is. My father-in-law. RIP Poppy! One of the greatest patriots I will ever know. We will greatly miss you.

I said I know people like that too. But they’re not organized and trying to take over the country. They’re idiots and ignorant. I said that already.

You know what group of people is trying to take over land and communities – Hassidic Jews. They buy communities, drive other cultures out and live by their own laws. They give all Jewish people a bad rap because of their practices. I don’t even consider them a faith based organization. They’re a cult like most religions. They just happen to be very strange. They all dress alike and don’t really assimilate unless it’s for business. I’ve had many experiences with different sects of the Jewish religion. There is extreme and moderate just like everything else. The extreme is always the worst.

Now, I wouldn’t try because you would probably wind up on a government list somewhere. LOL

I’m just saying it is more prevalent than is openly shown and the cowards only get courage enough to announce their beliefs when they assemble at rally’s. You think all those people in Charlottesville walked home?

My father-in-law said that there will always be economic inequity. His thinking was it will balance itself out eventually race wise but the rich and powerful will make sure there will always be economic inequity. Not sure if he was basing that on anything or just the way he saw things.

He brought up the inequality issue quite a bit. He said in this day and age he just don’t get it. The opportunities that are out there now for any race compared to the 60’s and 70’s is night and day. Being hispanic was tough during his entire military career from the early 40’s to 70’s but he made it to the highest enlisted rank in 24 years. Said, “I know what I wanted and went after it”. Said that is the problem with this day and age. No one wants to go get it. They just want to bitch until it’s given to them. They wait for someone to rise up THEN they finally get off their ass and get behind them then others get behind them and all they do is bitch. He said opportunities are there for everyone if they just go get it. Instead, everyone wants to just bitch.

In case you didn’t know, bitch was one of his fav words. The dog would start barking and he would ask him what he was bitching about. lol

Since this blog was about OL, many of us are mocking one of the top OC’s to us. Well, things got a little tougher on that now that both Pouncey brothers are retiring from the NFL. I do want us to resign Karras but feel we need to draft another by our 2nd round if we want a good one. I feel many of the top OC’s go there. Steelers could take the top OC at pick 24 or possibly waiting until pick 55. I can also see the chargers taking one at 47.

It all depends if Big Ben comes back which things are pointing that he is. We could see OC Creed Humphrey or QB Mac Jones going to Steelers at 24. Possibly an OT and outside chance Najee Harris.

Not sure who Chargers used to back up Mike Pouncey but they will be in the OC market as well.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I wouldn’t really love the idea of taking a center in the first round

But in the 2nd or 3rd round, that would probably be a good pick

A trade down in the first to pick up an extra day 2 pick probably makes a center in the 2nd or 3rd round a lot more likely

I think it’s important that we come out of the first two days of the draft with a RB and a WR

There’s certainly riom to build on our OL with those sort of parameters

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I’m thinking the same way, but I’d be OK taking 2 playmakers in the 1st, instead of RB/WR. Pitts would be in play for me, so maybe something like Chase/Pitts or Smith/Harris.

I’d almost think about trading back twice in the first, something like 3 to 8, then to 12 and taking Harris at 12. The thinking is Harris is the back I want, some others would be OK like the 2 NC RBs, but Harris is the must have. At WR I’d be OK with any of the top 3, just not at 3.

The trade back to 6, 8 or 12 I think needs to happen, because we have so many choices, that would work as our 1st pick in the draft at these spots.

The PSU TE is also an option after the first, so if we don’t take Pitts…

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I totally agree though I think the Steelers may pull that trigger on Humphrey at #24.

  63. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Who knows, if they like Karras a lot they could give him a 3-4 year deal. He seemed to be a good leader on that very young OL which played better than we could ask of a bunch of rookies. My top 5 OC’s to be drafted in the 1st 4 rounds are:

    1. Creed Humphrey (Oklahoma)-6’5/320
    2. Josh Myers (Ohio State)-6’5/312
    3. Landon Dickerson (Alabama)-6’6/325
    4. Trey Hill (Georgia)-6’4/330
    5. Jimmy Morrissey (Pittsburgh)-6’3/305

Does anyone know if Luke Matthews OC at Texas A&M declared for the draft? If he did, I might would have to squeeze him in at #4. He is really good and is the son of HOF OL Bruce Matthews and his brother plays OT for the Falcons.

  64. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

In a typical year, 1 selection per round, the draft doesn’t give you much hope to improve right away, but having these extra picks, especially at #3, gives great hope.

We need to parlay pick 3 into something big, or at least some extra picks. 3 to 8 plus a 2nd and 2022 1st is the kind of trade that I’m looking for.

Carolina may suck in 2021 again. We could be looking at another top pick next year.

Going 3 to 12 isn’t quite as enticing, because I expect SF to be good in 2021. 3 to 6 with Detroit might land the 1st pick in 2022.

  65. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

I would’ve trade #5 last year for a drop back and a 1st rnder this year if i could have. we would be sitting with 3 #1s now and parlay one of those into future #1s, keep it paying forward.

Instead we are stuck with Tua!

i sure hope they do a better job this year!

  66. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Using PFF simulator I would shit my britches if we got this! Remember, we already have extra picks in rounds 6 and 7 in 2022. A trade down would almost guarantee 10 picks in 2022 draft.

exactly! But you can’t have a discussion about right or wrong with some people because they refuse to admit wrong is wrong or excuse wrong because “what is good for the goose is good for the gander” NO it never was and never will be. It is wrong.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

That line Trump used as “very fine people” has been misinterpreted from the beginning especially by people that hate him. He was talking about two peaceful groups – one for keeping the statues and one for taking them down. He wasn’t referring to the racist groups that showed up. He even made a point of saying that’s not who was he talking about but some people ignored that and continue to do so. Truth doesn’t matter sometimes when it goes against a specific narrative.

Just like Breonna Taylor wasn’t executed by police when she was peacefully sleeping in her bed. She wasn’t sleeping, she was in the hallway with her criminal boyfriend who had a gun and got caught in the crossfire. Yet there are people who still say she was killed while sleeping. Does that even make sense to anyone?

Anyway, people want to move on and talk football so I’ll join them. 🙂

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

    ——————–
I see it as the exact opposite, man. J.J. made their Defense better, so losing him is more enticing for Watson to leave. What’s more, after the 4th Qtr in their last game, J.J. and Watson left the field together, just the two of them, and video/audio picked up J.J. saying something to the extent of, ‘you’ve wasted your best years here (in Houston), Deshaun’.

Maybe you didn’t know this, but methinks Deshaun is definitely leaving, now that J.J. is gone.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I’m sorry M…. was being sarcastic (so completely agree). Think the main reason Watson wants to leave is cause he doesn’t want to go through a total rebuild. But him leaving doesn’t mean he comes to us either. Think small chance of that.

When JJ said that he was just sucking dick. No one forced Watson to sign that massive contract, and by doing so he either didn’t care that he wasted time there or he didn’t waste time there. Either way it was his choice and he can’t blame the organization for all his years prior to 2020.

My guess is JJ Watt ends up one of 3 places. They will be teams that have a chance at winning a SB now, of course.

Pittsburgh to play along side his brother. Big Ben retires that might change that. UNLESS, Big Ben retires and they trade the farm for Watson.

Green Bay, I think is a possibility

Tampa Bay is another. They are going to lose Shaq Barrett. They won’t be able to afford him. Shaq Barrett’s words: “‘I feel like it’s time for me to break the bank now'”

  76. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Barrett played more of a OLB edge role though. The Bucs defense was basically nickel against the Chiefs. 2 DT, 4 LB and 5 DB. I guess you could consider him a hybrid end.

Harris called out Biden on race issues during the primaries and now they’re two peas in a pod. Does anyone listen to anything anyone says anymore or is it just about team?

My main point is how does that inspire you? The Democrats basically tried to paint the country as if we’re back in the Jim Crow/George Wallace days when that wasn’t happening at all. It was fucking propaganda to rile up other angry folks. But oh no, only Trump did that. They all did that!!! That’s what politicians do.

I’ve never felt scolded by any of those people. I might disagree with them about their ideas. I also disagree about the presentation/rhetoric of those ideas (Bernie comes to mind as a guy who I don’t love to listen to) but at the end of the day I do not take the proposal of ideas as scolding me. I either agree or reject them.

I also don’t really hear the phrase big government and hide under a desk either. There are certainly limitations I like in place in terms of govt intrusion, but I find the Republican Party to be very inconsistent on those topics. I don’t really love “big govt” as a catch phrase I should respond to, I would much rather hear ideas of how our govt should act and where our tax dollars should be spent instead of blanket criticism of the concept of big government.

Those are some fundamental differences. I don’t think there’s a right or a wrong in the way you or I think about them. But I really just don’t feel like you do when I hear those people speak

The Harris/Biden confrontation is a really good example of that. I didn’t walk away hating either candidate. And I really respect the fact that Biden heard her out, listened and expressed his point of view then and now. I think that’s the right way for people to speak to each other about issues, even sensitive ones like race.

The problem with Republicans and the reason Trump gained traction is that they don’t give a damn about their voters and what they want. It’s more about pushing the same old shit from the 80s and earlier. Big business! War! Special Interests! Almost no one in the party wants that anymore or the fake scumbags who profit while lying to their voters. If, a HUGE IF, they find someone else who pushes tough on illegal immigration, anti-China, anti-shipping off jobs, no wars, and wants to improve our job market? That person will get votes

I like that fiscal responsibility Reagonomics stuff much more than the Nationalism Trumpism stuff

But I guess I’m not the target audience anyway

According to NFL Radio, JJ Watt and the Texans mutually agreed to him leaving the team. Supposedly, he approached ownership and asked to be released.

    Preach it Tim!

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Oh don’t say that, because regardless of what we say, people pigeon hole you as this or that.

Example: Between some friends and I, we had a discussion where I said I feel protests are never really peaceful. It’s not peaceful in nature. You’re calling someone or something out so it’s not really peaceful. I didn’t say violent, I said not peaceful. If you are invited to someone’s house for Thanksgiving, they provide their home, socializing and the food and beverages for you to have a great time. You then stand up and say this food sucked and you didn’t provide the beer I like. You didn’t physically attack anyone, but were your actions peaceful?

So one of my friends responded privately and said there have been peaceful protests like the women’s marches a couple of year ago across the country. I then said but at the same time, they forgot other responsibilities like not doing this.

  88. New Age's avatar New Age says:

    Tim,

This latest impeachment schtick actually had Trumps’ lawyers showing all the hate and rhetoric the other side is allowed to do non-stop….but Trump doing it is wrong! The only thing wrong was our plutocrats finally saw some anger and wet themselves. The plebs can’t do this! We are their rulers!!

  89. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I’ll tell you guys right now

I’m not touching any of the impeachment debate and Krishna, i wouldn’t even engage if I were you. You aren’t going to change any one’s mind

The only reason I’d sign Watt is for his leadership. I’m not so sure how much he’s got left. I have no problem thinking he may play a few more years but at what level? 40 tackles and 5 or 6 sacks? Meh. I love the guy, but I don’t know that I’d sign him. If I’m him I’m going to a serious SB contender anyway, and that ain’t us.

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

I agree. He seems to have lost a step after all those injuries. 40 tackles and 5-6 sacks is ok but nothing to get excited about.

  91. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

I didn’t bring up impeachment. I responded and gave an opinion.

Let’s start wirh facts. I think he deserves it and i don’t hide from that

I think he’s q piece of shit for rhe last 20 years. Hmmmmmm.

  92. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I’m not even talking about impeachment. I’m talking about the current state of our society and government. Move the fuck on to the present. WTF is wrong with people? Yeah let’s still keep focusing on Trump. And that helps the country improve how?

You know what it is, it slows down the thought process on what the Democrats will do and they’re pretty much in power now. Instead of focusing on what they don’t do and can’t do, they keep everyone still focused on Trump. The mad king is dead. Everyone rejoices and celebrates as the backdoor stuff goes down. Come on man, the blues has been singing about the backdoor man for a century. It’s not about the sexual act, it’s about the deception and lying.

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

Biden has signed over 50 EOs so far. These are the exact opposite of how the Constitution laid out how our government is supposed to function. Congress is supposed to legislate but way too many people seem to like watching the president do it…while complaining about dictators lol.

I don’t get your joke. This post was in reference to the video Piggy posted of the Zoom trial appearance when the lawyer had a cat filter on. It had nothing to do with politics.

Neither did BBMs was a play on his senility which it’s funny in that respect but likely very true to what would happen.

I hate the political talk, but it seems to me Trump is out, the Democrats by in large have control, let’s see what they do the next 2-4 years.

Honestly, I am 58 this year, just don’t screw with my 401K. Lol. (By the way, I am just making a joke….please don’t break down my risks or what I should be doing, especially David)

As far as the Dolphins are concerned, I think what we do in the FA period before the draft will give a big hint to what we do in the draft. Yep! I am Captain Obvious. I guess what I am saying is, once we get through the initial FA period, then maybe we will be able to “guess” what we might do in the draft.

  97. bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

I am all in on keeping our draft capital and/or improving, while building around Tua. I trust the combination of Flores and Grier.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

“I trust the combination of Flores and Grier.”

That’s our trust as fans. We’re just beginning year three of their vision and already people want to take it down. Is Tua the guy after an up and down rookie season and a 10-6 record? Just missed the playoffs by a hair.

So what now… we balk and get off course?

I say no, a monster is being built but there is no patience for it. I’m looking forward to the 2021 season. 🙂
