What will the 2021 Miami Dolphins Special Teams look like?

Gone is P Matt Haack. The Dolphins signed the former Carolina Panthers punter Michael Palardy instead of re-signing the steady Matt Haack. Palardy has a higher average per punt than Haack at 46.0 compared to the 44.7 Haack had as Dolphins punter. The important guy who is returning is All Pro kicker Jason Sanders. Sanders had a fantastic season converting 36 of 39 FG tries. His kickoffs were nearly always touchbacks. MIchael Palardy has a big leg so we’ll see if we improve our field position with him booming the ball.

Jakeem Grant shared return duties last year with rookies WR Malcolm Perry and DB Noah Igbinoghene. Grant was electric, but you held your breath until he actually cradled the ball when receiving the punt or kickoff. This year I believe Jaylen Waddle will be incorporated into the game and may even make Jakeem Grant expendable. Time will tell on that one. Waddle is so explosive in his own right and I would imagine he’s a lot more sure handed than Grant has been. Still, Jakeem Grant may stick here just because of his electric punt return ability, he averaged 11.4 yards on his punt returns last season. I do believe Waddle will challenge here and Malcolm Perry may also.

Blake Ferguson returns as the long snapper after a fine rookie season. I don’t recall any Ferguson miscues last season so I’ll leave it that he did his job well. The big questions going forward is can Jason Sanders follow up hos All Pro season with another? Who will be the primary return man and if it’s rookie Jaylen Waddle, does Jakeem Grant make the cut? Also, if Jaylen Waddle is the primary return man, do they scale back his work at WR? It’s a lot to ask from a rookie because they have double work, but I would hope Waddle is up to task. Personally, I hope Waddle is part of our return game, I can’t wait to see that. Will new punter Michael Palardy help our field position battle? Haack was unspectacular last season but I thought he did a good job here. Obviously the Dolphins were looking for better and hopefully that’s what we get from Palardy.

The Xavien Howard holdout may affect DB Noah Igbinoghene the most. If he’s the guy that will be counted on to replace Howard, I’d almost guarantee his days as a return man are done for at least this season. He will be working hard to be up to snuff filling some tremendous shoes if the Dolphins can’t work things out with Xavien Howard. This is a huge issue to keep an eye on. You don’t replace 10 INT’s and in general shut down coverage easily and we all saw Iggy struggle last season. I don’t doubt Iggy will be better, but it’s a lot to step in for arguably one of the best corners in the NFL. We’ll see what happens on that front.

I checked the list of people I trust and your name ain’t on it.

    • stangerx says:

To no one in particular? You must have meant me unless thinking rightly of Matthew Mcconaughey.

      • CavalierKong says:

I’ve been dropping Matthew McConaughey lines in-between songs. Figured someone would pick up on it before I had to explain it. I’m pretty sure Ken did.

      • Ken says:

It took me a few minutes to figure it out

      • stangerx says:

Awesome Cav. Problem for me is my whole reference section is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Dallas Buyers Club. Know will learn more on the Dateline special though, if he ever gets caught. 🙂

        LOL

Here’s another awesome 90’s mosh pit band that got everyone going. Notice the band and the audience. It didn’t matter. Now all of a sudden it matters. Fuck you to all the race baiters. You’re trying to ruin decades of progress. Oh yeah… fuck you again!!!

  5. Mike E. says:

Kong, you could have went on for days and I never would have caught on to MM. Black Betty is a cool song man, love that. Also really like that other tune too.

    • CavalierKong says:

Just goes to show how we all see things through our own lens. I thought for sure leading with the ‘you got a joint line’ from Dazed and Confused would tip off a lot of people. I sometimes forget that most of you guys are older than bacteria 😉

Black Betty is such a great song to drive to, I put it right up there with Low Rider and Hey Nineteen.

And Hey Man, Nice Shot is a great tune to get chased by demons to… (It’s in the opening scene from Demon Knight). lol

We were talking about Dazed and Confused at work the other day. I saw it, but I think I only saw it once so definitely can’t quote lines from it. Not like some of the movies I’ve seen more than likely 20 or more times.

  9. Mike E. says:

One of my favorite Zep tunes . . .

    • CavalierKong says:

Can never go wrong with Zep.

    • Tim Knight says:

Ask drummers about this song. Bonzo was so good and more intricate than this power beast everyone viewed him as. He’s an amazing drummer and percussionist. This was one of his last statements for all of us. 😦

  10. stangerx says:

“Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin was sentenced Friday to 22 and a half years in prison for the murder of George Floyd”

    Seems about right.

  11. CavalierKong says:

Phel, I’ve been listening to a lot of Pretty Reckless, especially while I’m cooking. I really dig them. My wife knew all about them (she’s a longtime rocker). I’m surprised I had never heard of them. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. Cheers

  12. stangerx says:

Loved me some English Beat. Broke up in to two bands of note — Fine Young Cannibals and General Public.

  13. Mike E. says:

Tim, amazing drums in ” Fool in the Rain”

  14. Ken says:

    Check out this drummer:

    • Ken says:

Stanger you will appreciate this. When I was younger I used to see this guy play at the Inn at Longshore all the time

      • stangerx says:

Inn at Longshore do I know. If you were on the balcony and looking across the mouth to the Saugatuck River…… there my house would be. Used to paddle over there and grab clams out of their mud flat nook. And when older was there for more adult activities like dinner.

      • Ken says:

They used to have really good music there

    • Tim Knight says:

He’s awesome! Know a lot of drummers who can play like this but they’re “light”. Do that and carry a trio in a big way. That’s a different beast. Playing drums for Led Zeppelin or The Police is different and cool just the same. 🙂

      • Ken says:

This guy was the primary drummer for Chic Corea for many years and was the king of the New York studio scene. He was the tour drummer for many of Paul Simon ‘s tours

      • Tim Knight says:

I know who he is. I gave him props. Different styles. 🙂

    ————————————————

You made that choice! not me or anyone else

  18. Marinofan13 says:

I was going to do a breakdown of each comment made, disparaging me and others, regarding the recent events of McAfee’s death and the Miami high-rise collapse of yesterday. I’m not going to do that.

Instead, we now know who the REAL conspiracy theorists are… and they are our friends on the left side of the aisle.

Ya see, NOBODY said anything about “whodunit”, but the leftists are automatically programmed to defend (knee-jerk reactionary) what they ASSUME others are trying to do.

I posted what a reporter asked the Mayor of Miami (re: McAfee), thinking maybe one of you locals could identify who the reporter is and we could figure out if he’s credible or a mere fool. Still don’t know the reporter, his company, or his credibility… and nobody was willing to help. Instead, it was ASSUMED I was trying to advance a “conspiracy theory”. NO, I wanted to know if that reporter had legit data with the question he had asked… and you locals still have yet to identify him.

I stated “RUMOR”, obviously keeping my hands out of ‘I believe this’, or, ‘I believe that’. I stated RUMOR, because it can obviously not yet be proven so early in the investigation, keeping everything wide-open, and not trying to pigeon-hole the investigation into “HEY! THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED!”, like liberal conspiracy theorists (ie: RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, in regards to Trump).

I didn’t even politicize the matter… y’all leftists did that with false assumptions about me and others. Either ya can’t read, or you chose to read into whatever ya felt like reading into.

I was gas-lighted last night, being I didn’t originally virtue-signal (RIP to the dead), when last I heard before I went to bed last night, there was ONLY 1 PERSON WHO DIED, and there was reportedly only a few people missing. Woke up this morning to hearing 4 people had died, and the media suddenly said that 150+ (up to 200?) were missing. Made me feel terrible in retrospect, but dammit, I didn’t know that last night! Yeah, I saw the video of the ‘collapse’ yesterday (even posted it), but the media told me that only 1 had died… THANK GOD, right?!! Welp, the media lied again (what else is new?).

Then I was accused today of being a conspiracy theorist, based on something I quoted from memory yesterday… but then I quickly WENT OUT OF MY WAY to correct myself, upon me POSTING the item (and I apologized for not being EXACTLY correct with the quote), but I guess the gentleman didn’t read that part… how convenient… and NOT COOL for NOT acknowledging my own correction or apology. And honestly, “no comment” vs “I have no idea” aren’t polar opposites… both are common in their usage, indicating a lack of data in the moment, but “no comment” is more professional and widely used. WTF was that all about??? SERIOUSLY!!! SMH

Krishna, PLEASE don’t tell anybody to shut the fuck up. Nobody here would say that to you, so you don’t get to say that to anybody else… have some etiquette. #1A, PAL. You need to shit out whatever is up your ass (not that there’s anything wrong with that), or just take a chill pill.

And Phelon, really with your SBJ routine? It’s not as though I said, “and I ENDORSE this message!”. Fact-finding: you’re smarter than that.

Steve, I 100% agree with everything you’ve said here today, Bro. Sorry you had to bear the brunt of some disgruntled leftists… who quite OBVIOUSLY seem to be protecting something by crying “CONSPIRACY THEORY!!!”. They are SCARED by the unknown, and they don’t WANT to even consider the possibilities, just so long as they are protected. That’s 100% foolishness.

But here’s the real deal: anyone consider that perhaps John McAfee rigged his data to detonate if it were being compromised by an outsider? No, leftists think it’s all about a government conspiracy hatched by the right, and they politicize EVERYTHING in an effort to retain power. They are so foolish that they won’t even consider that McAfee could be to blame… they are blinded by their own power to even consider as much.

Guarantee y’all that if a reporter had asked if Trump had anything to do with this, our leftists here would nod in agreement like good sheep… and it would break the internet.

And lastly, NOBODY here on the right side of the aisle has ACCUSED the government of being behind the tragedy in Miami. If that reporter has a lead, we’d all like to know more. Don’t tell me to take a knee (virtue-signal) to honor the 1 guy who died yesterday before I went to bed, I want to know what happened to cause this mess to begin with. If this leftist cancel-culture BS wants to kill a potential lead, I don’t know what to tell y’all.

I said RUMOR, not fact. Chase ALL leads down to discover the truth. instead of instantaneously politically LABELING shit as “CONSPIRACY THEORY!!!”. Still don’t know who the reporter was who asked the question to the Mayor of Miami… was hoping somebody could tell me more.

    • Marinofan13 says:

Don’t know why McAfee would have posted this, other than to bait people into a trap he may have set up. He was a very eccentric individual.

Lots of questions, it’s too early into the investigation to get definitive answers one way or the other, but the leftists on this board are SURE I’m talking about right-wing, governmental CONSPIRACY THEORIES! They’ve disqualified themselves.

  20. wyoming85 says:

  21. olddolphan says:

The defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning are one period away from returning to the Finals. A short-handed goal by the Bolts’ Yanni Gourde put them ahead 1-0 in the second period. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay’s injured superstar, Nikita Kucherov, has skated a few shifts. But it’s obvious he’s no where near fully recovered. BOTH Goalies have been solid, but the Bolts’ Vasilevskiy has faced only 12 shots after 2 periods while the Isles’ Varlamov has 27 shots on goal so far. Indeed, Varlamov is the biggest reason the NYI is ONLY one goal behind at this point.

Speaking of “POINT,” Tampa Bay’s Brayden Point, who’s scored goals in 9 consecutive playoff games, is just one goal away from tying the all-time NHL playoff record of 10 straight games with a goal set by the Flyers’ Reggie Leach way back in 1976. I’m REAL SURE Point would gladly exchange a shot at tying the record in exchange for winning this deciding playoff game!! – – Get the “POINT?”

ONE PERIOD LEFT (assuming there’s no overtime tonight).
We’ll be glued to the tube in Tampa Bay. GO BOLTS!!

WOW! Could you possibly be a bigger dickhead to Wyoming, Ken? That was TOTALLY uncalled for, and you know it. SMMFH 😡

    • Marinofan13 says:

I mean, Wyoming actually WORKS for a living, 12-hour days, and then you shove it in his face that you got exhausted by driving and running around for graduation parties? 😡

  24. olddolphan says:

    AH VICTORY, SWEET VICTORY!!!
Tampa Bay defeats the Islanders and WINS another trip to the Stanley Cup Finals!
One of the NBC Sports Network announcers said “The Lightning will be prohibitive favorites to successfully defend their Stanley Cup title against the Montreal Canadiens.” I don’t see it that way. I believe the upcoming Finals will last 6 or 7 games. And I think the Habs have a real chance to win the crown after dismantling a heavily favored Vegas Golden Nights team in six games. And having that extra day off will certainly help Montreal prepare for this series. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has to hope that Kucherov and some of their other banged-up players can get better before they face off in game one less than 48 hours from now in Amalie Arena.

Montreal has the hottest goalie in the NHL right now in Carey Price. That’s a significant factor. But the Bolts’ Andrei Vasilevskiy has been nearly as impressive over the course of the playoffs. And the Lightning do have the home ice advantage. Plus, as the old saying goes, “Tampa Bay has been here (the Finals) before and had great success.” Montreal, by comparison, has not been to the Finals since 1993, and that is before many of their current players were even born!

Y’all have a great weekend! The Old Dolfan is out.

  25. CavalierKong says:

I’m bored, so I’ll try and introduce some non-emotional logic into this stuff.

Regardless of political leaning, the reason it’s called conspiracy theory is because you have to believe in numerous wild, and even more important, unproveable links in order to create the chain from A to Z.

Let’s go through the chain. I put possible rebuttal responses in parentheses.

McAfee committed suicide. First link- we need to believe he didn’t, he was actually killed to keep him quiet. We don’t have the details, but I believe it’s plausible he didn’t commit suicide. But the guy has been putting all sorts of stuff out there on his twitter for at least months that I’ve seen, why kill him now? (He was about to expose something ‘they’ didn’t want exposed.) Ok, so his reaction is to destroy a building, his evidence, and kill a bunch of innocent people? Whatever the reason, I consider the non-suicide to be plausible, but there is no evidence yet.

Next- the property. We have to believe McAfee owned a condo in the building. Here’s the first implausible link that is easily disproved unless you believe something wild and unproveable. Why is he not on the tax roll? And just as important, why the heck didn’t the government seize it already? (It was in another name that had no connection to McAfee.) Ah, so he takes that precaution, then inexplicably gives up the location in a twitter post instead of actually using the information through whatever channel he set up in the first place?

Next- the ‘tweet’ that he has damning info if something happens to him, and he provides the location of said info, lol. First we have to believe it’s a real tweet even though it is easily faked and it doesn’t show up in his timeline. (Twitter deleted it.) Ok retweets that also contain a comment of your own are not deleted, so those don’t get deleted from that users timeline. (Twitter deleted that too.)

Ok, so why give up the location? (It was a trap.) Ok, so the trap was to blow up the building, and the evidence, and kill people even though we have video that shows no explosion, and no one there has mentioned an explosion. And again, why not just use the evidence instead?

Next- the trap. Do you realize the kind of demolition required to collapse a building? How did he do this from one condo? Or were there non-explosive explosives all over the building that no one noticed? Or did he have some secret way to collapse a building? (I can’t even come up with a bad rebuttal for that, let alone a good one.)

Next- What was the purpose of the information if he was just going to blow it up? Wouldn’t he have compatriots or allies he could use to actually get the information out in case of his death? Why expose himself and give up his leverage by giving up the location publicly? (Again, I can’t come up with what the responses might be to these other than ‘the trap’.)

I’m just going to stop there because I don’t want to write 10 pages.

So we have a guy with damning info of some kind, who then gives its location away publicly thereby causing his own death, had the foresight to create a plan to collapse a building in some unknown way, but doesn’t have a plan to also get the information out. And if the ‘information’ never comes out, then it’ll definitely go down as both the best and worst thought out plan ever.

I’ll finish with this, if something that is actually provable surfaces, I will be the first to move my marker, but at this point it’s all wild speculation and absolutely nothing provable. That is why it’s called conspiracy theory.

    • steveccnv says:

Lol on your conspiracy about the conspiracy

      • CavalierKong says:

wow, timing, lol. The examples I gave aren’t what I believe. All the elements I introduced are what have been previously presented. And the point was to show why it is being labeled as conspiracy theory. Because in order to make any sense of what has been presented without any proof, you have to spin wild ideas and speculation.

  31. Tim Knight says:

Fishbone – these lyrics always resonated with me. I’m not trying to insult anyone, but that’s how a lot of us feel. It’s not really political… it’s human.

    Who, who do you serve?
For whose empire and for whose whims?
Is your honor judged by men?
    Will you lie?
Will you lie if they say it`s their will?
Will you die or continue to kill?
Until the generals all have their fill

    Craven cowards
    Armchair warriors
    You will serve them well

    What, what will you write?
For whose pleasure, for whose delight?
Will your readers see your light?
Will you say… That the singer can`t blow you away?
That we hate people just `cause they`re gay
Women and children all stay away

To whom, whom do you pray?
Do dollars wash your sins away?
Does God love cold hard cash?
Do you say… If we all just continue to pay
All our ailments will go away
And our souls will be saved

    God`s not with you
    “Holy Roller”
    Your heart dwells in Hell

    Why, Why do you run?
Our awareness has spoiled your fun
Our eyes see you too clear
    Will you hide
From the joy of expressing our pride
For the leaders and people who`ve died
    While combating your genocide

    Chains are breaking
    Minds are waking
    Soon we`ll serve no more…

  33. pheloniusphish says:

How did the condo convo become left and right? Yet another conspiracy theory. And there is a difference between MSM lying (they do – journalism is dead) and the media putting out preliminary reports based on early information. You want to know why we’re laughing at you? Because you throw out one salacious comment based on an unsupported question by an unknown interlocutor and try to spin it into a fever dream of intrigue under the guise of an “investigation.” Ain’t no one investigating a McAfee angle to the collapse except for conspiracy theorists. Same guys who believe 9/11 was an inside job.

    • stangerx says:

Did you catch that one boy who did….. was a miracle.

  42. stangerx says:

Turns out someone put out a fake tweet supposedly by McAfee. Probably proud of how much attention it got, including on this board.

    Fact check conclusion below.
    —————————————-

“As of this writing, the only connection between McAfee’s death and the building collapse in Florida is that they both took place in June 2021. McAfee did not tweet that he was storing files in the building, and the claim that his alleged son “Pat McAffee” owned a condo in the building appears to have been conjured out of thin air.”

Full with details, including he does not have a son by the name claimed.
    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/john-mcafee-files-miami-building/

    • Marinofan13 says:

Snopes? Really? The heavily-financed by George Soros couple of Barbara and David Mikkelson (now divorced), from San Fran?

Stanger, Snopes has a batting average around the Mendoza Line (that’s .200, for those who live in Rio Linda).

The investigation of this tragedy continues… but Snopes said…!

      • Marinofan13 says:

If Snopes was founded by Rupert Murdoch, the left would feel the exact same way.

Let the investigation continue, without politicization.

Who was that reporter in question?!!

      • stangerx says:

Article makes a compelling case to me on its face. Not surprised though that you have a problem with the fact checker on this. The tweet is fake and it never made any sense to start with. Let it go man.

      • stangerx says:

And according to the folks at Snopes, “None of us works with or for any political campaign or party, nor have any of us so much as met George Soros and probably wouldn’t recognize him if we did.”

      • steveccnv says:

Stanger, referencing a fact checker…is no different than calling it a conspiracy theory as eeach side has their own biased fact checker and no different than referencing what the folks at Snopes said

      • stangerx says:

So does that mean everything in the article is wrong? And heck yeah it is a conspiracy theory. Surely that is clear to you by now. Give me a link to the right wing fact checker saying it is true. Will read that as well.

      • steveccnv says:

Just saying your fact checker is biased, saying a fact checker said…has no merit

      • steveccnv says:

No it doesn’t mean everything is wrong, it just means anything in it could be

    • stangerx says:

So when Snopes says McAffee does not have a son named Pat what am I supposed to think? They’d be called wrong if there is a son named Pat within hours. Pretty much anyone with a key board could do it. You think they’d put out a whopper like that knowing would be caught?

Just because I don’t agree with the conspiracy doesn’t mean I’m disparaging what you were saying M13, besides I thought ya made it clear you weren’t suggesting the conspiracy just reporting one someone else’s comment that was. None of this is an attack on you it’s an attack (if you want to call it that) on spinning a tragedy into a conspiracy while there is no proof of anything but something sad happened.
    ————–
THANK YOU! I appreciate that, D (and CavKong). Nevertheless, some here attacked me, even though I made abundantly clear that I was not suggesting anything. Still wondering who that reporter was, who he works for, and if he had some kind of inside knowledge… or was he just throwing gas on a tragedy?

If the reporter in question was intentionally going the conspiracy route, I feel he should be fired. But if he truly knows something, I think we should get to the bottom of it. It was always that simple to me, and I don’t want to speak for Steve, but I’m sure it’s the same for him, too.

    Still trafficking in conspiracy theories

    • Marinofan13 says:

Ken, I really like you, man, and I wish you’d knock it off. You attacked me, after I issued a correction to my original post of “No comment”, by the Mayor of Miami. I didn’t need to do that, but I’m about accuracy and integrity… I even apologized for having misquoted (from memory) what he’d stated earlier in the day. That’s how important accuracy and integrity is to me, and should be for all.

I ALWAYS want the record to be clear, so if I need to correct, I correct myself. I think we ALL should correct ourselves when we misspeak or accidentally got something wrong… being it has happened to ALL of us!

Yes, you very much pissed me off regarding that. Don’t add to it by doubling-down on some more BS. And I apologize for going after you late last evening in your convo with Wyoming… but you were most certainly asking for it, after disrespecting me.

Let’s agree to disagree, instead of attacking one another. We’re civilized cats… no need to personally attack one another. We cool?

      • Ken says:

I will knock it off and talk football. Conspiracy theories stick in craw but there is no point in debating what is and or is not a conspiracy theory. We see things differently that way

      • Ken says:

Also in no way was I ever denigrating Wyoming or anyone who works hard and makes an honest living I was just explaining why I was tired which probably made me crankier than normal

  45. ocalarob says:

guy shot a Daytona cop in the head escaped to GA, he was being helped by a black para military organization known as the NFA (not F’n around)
he was arrested by Daytona police, the handcuffs put on him were the officers that was shot.
    ——————————————————
I saw something similar to this on ID TV, was a west coast thing, with a guy from a Mexican gang called the Vineland boys. They killed a cop, and almost his partner when they rolled up on them while they were smokin weed in a parking lot. This of course was why they confronted them they knew it like was a bit more than that going on in the car.

As they approached the car the guy got out of the car rolling our clockwise instead of normal which is counter clockwise and immediately pulled a guy. The cop which was approaching the diver side noticed that fact a little slow got shot in the neck, but his partner who was originally going to the passenger’s side, came back around and fatally shot the driver. The passenger of the car got out and then came around and shot the partner in the back of the head, then put an entire clip in him for good measure. He was going to do the same thing to the first cop, but saw the pool of blood he was laying in and determined he was dead already and then he bolted.

Some of his gang member buddies hid him and ferried him across into Mexico and they spent months trying to find a way to track him down and get him back. When they finally did, the lead detective was waiting for him at the border with the slain cops handcuffs. Was a sad but great story.

If would have to disintegrate all at the same time on all 4 corners to get what resulted, that’s not likely
    ——————————————————————
Those buildings are very much like dominoes, when you lose stability in one loadbearing spot, you have lost the whole thing. Goes back to the out not up argument, the more upright a stricture the more any instability will cause a fall. Ever play Jenga? build it with a wide base, the structure your pullin pieces from and see how boring the game becomes lol.

    • D says:

Also it didn’t collapse all 4 corners at the same time if ya watch the video you can see it started at one corner or side and then then it pulled the pother part down and only half fell right off. The second half fell as the first half’s rubble caused instability in the second half, which then collapsed after.

      • stangerx says:

One theory put out today was based on an engineer’s report from 2019. He said the waterpoofing on the pool was no longer working and water from there was seeping into the building (front left corner of the first one that collapsed) and undermining the structural integrity. Said major effort was needed to correct. But that’s not proof….. just a problem that had been reported before.

Did you miss this post, where I changed my opinion based on expert interview?

  48. D says:

Dunno what DeCastro has left in the tank but i saw a post that said the Steelers just cut him. That would be a HUGE add if he still plays anything up to his previous ability. He also could help some of our younger guys learn from a seriously adept pro.

What an FN maroon, it’s like saying, if a baseball pitcher gives 5 runs in an inning they might take him out

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Flores could be on the hot seat this year if the team regresses. I will say that he is not implying that Flores could be fired after the season if Miami regresses but I still find it very difficult to see the Dolphins suffer through a bad season only to see Flores enter the 2022 season looking over his shoulder. Who on this entire planet believes that John McAfee has a son named Pat? NOBODY! He doesn’t have a son named Pat, and thank you, Snopes, for telling us so???

NO SHIT, SHERLOCK! Please tell us something we didn’t already know!!!

No allow me to say it louder, being you clearly don’t seem to understand the nature of things: WHO THE FUCK WAS THE REPORTER WHO INTRODUCED THE MCAFEE-MIAMI BUILDING CONNECTION?!!

For the love of God, Stanger, you LIVE there! Who is he? It would seem you’re going out of your way to NOT identify him. Are you trying to protect him or what? It’s a very, very simple question.

LOL — completely untrue. I was banging Miss Scarlett in the Billiard Room. She can confirm the alibi.

    • Marinofan13 says:

LOL, that’s what Stanger asked me to do the other night! He said the onus was on ME to prove something — as a mere outsider/observer — of what had happened with a local reporter and the Mayor of Miami in his own city.

I didn’t virtue-signal after the early reports of only 1 person dead: my bad.

It was a mere mention, and nothing more, and I called it a “rumor”, so as to NOT give it credence.

    —————
You said “theory”… is that conspiratorial, too? Oh, it was the pool built in 19**, on the nth floor, where it may have seeped, without water-proofing, it just so happened to collapse an entire complex when it did, and everybody ignored building codes, inspections, and regulations… and it just so happened when it did. Dude… that right there is crazy to me. Chances? 1 in 1 trillion. That’s bat-shit crazy.

So, as to the original theory (sinkhole): why haven’t surrounding buildings been put on notice, if they were all built on the same ground? Seriously. Did ya think about that? Could a sinkhole possibly happen to an adjacent building, too? You bet! But there’s been zero action on that front. Hmmm…

    Please think!

    • Marinofan13 says:

By the way, you’re peddling theories before the lost under the rubble are recovered, as you accused me of doing. Sorry I didn’t virtue-signal as you had done, after only 1 person was reported dead.

I didn’t peddle a theory… WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT REPORTER?!!

M, dude.. reel it in a bit.. No need to be attacking each other over two possibly unrelated incidents….

without howard we will have a hard time in cover zero,

that’s what made our D so great last year.

  58. nobody knows exactly why the surfside condos collapsed, but we know it was built on shifting sand being eroded by storms

this isnt the first time a beachside condo has fallen in FL, and wont be the last

dont buy a beachfront condo or house, remember i mentioned that real estate on the beach is plunging, and property prices further inland are rising? the Surfside condos further illustrated it

it will get worse as Miami Beach sinks into the ocean, climate change is all over the nation, Seattle hit 110F, and Lake Mead is almost dry

how much is a surfside condo worth now? Zero if im the one asked

those condos wont even close at the table, will need structural inspections

The National Weather Service reported the temperature peaked at 102 degrees at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport about 4 p.m. That broke the previous June record of 96 degrees in 2017, and came one degree shy of the hottest day ever registered at the airport, in July 2009.

      Lake Mead isn’t almost dry

  59. corporations wanted Us to ignore AL Gore, and let them continue to pollute the environment, because its profitable to pollute

Gore was trying to warn us, but profits came before human lives,

the 159 Floridians that are still missing in collapsed rubble,

are victims of corporate greed and pollution, the corporations are ruining the environment for blood money

  60. Ken says:

    Guess not

  61. i think We need to move on from Howard, sure he had a great season, but he cant be trusted to be a team player IMO

he will always want to be the top paid cornerback, whether he earned it or not

he came off of 2 seasons with injuries, and expected to be the top paid corner in 2019,
now he had a great season and will want even more

if we gave in to his demands, as soon as some other corner signs for more money, Howard will again and again be unhappy, every year,
his insane greed is ruining his team value.

he could hold out every year, because there is nothing to show that he would be happy with the top contract in the NFL, his greed and selfishness knows no bounds

  62. i suppose the team could give Howard the top CB contract in the NFL, again

but we have proof he wont be happy with that , as soon as some other corner tops him in pay, we could have to resign him several times over the next 2 years to keep him happy

at some point, we have to weigh out , if it would be better to focus on team players we can afford

    • Ken says:

I think the issue is not another CB in the league it’s the fact they paid another CB on the team more money and then drafted another CB in the 1st round

      • yea, but Howard doesnt own the team, he doesnt get to make those decisions

the team cant draft whats best for Howard, the team has to draft whats best for Miami

and drafting Iggy is looking like the Dolphins already knew howard was gonna fuck them dry, insurance policy

the team needs corners that want to play

  63. Ken, if the team signed Howard to the top corner pay in the NFL, and 3 more corners get higher contracts later this year,

what are the chances that Howard will be fine with that?

we have proof that he will hold out if that happens

  64. the Dolphins have 91 players on the payroll, most of the ones that wont make the team carry very little to none dead cap money

so yes , its possible that Miami COULD afford to pay Howard as the top corner back in the NFL, after they cut down to the final 53

i guess that is part of the problem of signing Howard now, his demands wont fit under the cap until we start cutting down the payroll dramatically

    https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/miami-dolphins/

  65. Mike E. says:

I think Howard just wants more guaranteed money, and he wants it upfront. In other words, he’s gambling on himself not playing out the full contract, he wants money now. I feel like that’s the most likely scenario anyway, he plays at a high level maybe 2 more seasons and then the injuries take their toll and he’s done. I wouldn’t be against front loading a contract that makes it easy to say goodbye to Howard after 2 years.

    • Ken says:

That seems to be a likely scenario

    • stangerx says:

He for sure wants more money too. Less than Jones seems to be everybody’s focus on what has him going. Think now at least Ramsey getting twenty mil a year after he had the best season of all CBs is what he is looking at.
