1-6 : Where do the Dolphins go from here?

The NFL Trade deadline is coming, now less than a week away. Moves will be made by our organization, but the magnitude of the moves has yet to be determined. This team has underperformed and once again disappointed a fan base that thought, believed and expected better things. In the 3rd year of Grier and Flores, armed with a multitude of first and second round picks in consecutive drafts, we thought we finally were going to get a talent laden roster of young players to build to build around. No more foolish spending in free agency trying to put band aids on wounds that needed cauterizing. We were going to build a young nucleus, with a young QB (Tua Tagovailoa), and then sprinkle in the right veteran players in free agency with no desperation, and no need to get the hottest and most expensive players, just the right veteran players to put us over the top. Instead of building on the 10-6 record we achieved last season, this team has fallen backwards at 1-6 after 7 games and and basically at a point where the season is lost. So now we get to see how this trio of Ross, Grier and Flores handle their failure and try to remedy things. The Deshaun Watson trade rumors have been present since before the season. Is Watson a better QB than Tua is now? Sure, but Tua is a rookie with a 7-6 record, completing over 65% of his passes and a 2:1 TD/INT ratio with 18 TD’s and 9 INT’s. To me, pulling the plug on that is preposterous. On the other hand, the track record for Grier and possibly Flores surrendering a 2nd and 5th RD pick for Josh Rosen in 2019 makes you wonder if they are capable stewards of making such important decisions. They did evaluate the QB class of 2020 and they chose Tua Tagovailoa at #5. Do they pull the plug on a player that has worked so hard and to rehab injuries they were fully aware of when drafting him, especially since he has played well enough to have a winning record and at least average to above statistics? The bigger question is, for what player to make you the trade for? A QB embroiled in controversy and 22 civil lawsuits filed against him by 22 women. This is what makes you abandon the player you were all in on just one year ago? You have to wonder if either of the 2 under Ross really deserve to be here themselves.

I believe the Dolphins aren’t going to make that move. Yes, Watson has been convicted of nothing, there are simply allegations at the moment. He is not guilty until proven otherwise, but many times where there’s smoke there’s fire, and 22 lawsuits is a smoldering inferno. Is that the desperate approach you want to take as an organization? You will probably get elevated play at QB with Watson as compared to Tua but would it be enough of a difference to make this team a winner? We’re 31st on defense statistically. Is Deshaun Watson going to be a 2 way player? Our offensive line has been poor the entire season. It won’t be any better for Watson. As expected, our best WR’s can’t stay on the field or even when they’re on the field, they’re not healthy. We have had DeVante Parker on this team for 6 seasons before this year and he played a 16 game season once. In 2019 he finally had the year we all thought he could have and became the player we hoped he could be, but that was the flash in the pan. He can’t stay healthy, and when you have a #1 receiver that’s rarely healthy, how do you bring in Will Fuller who also has never played a 16 game season. The we have Albert Wilson who opted out of the season last year due to COVID-19. He hadn’t played since 2019 in which he had a terrible hip injury that cut off his nice season in which Wilson was the one exciting piece of the offense. Preston Williams has also been injury prone and only managing to play a maximum of 8 games in 3 different seasons. Is all this Tua’s fault? Is it Tua’s fault that the defense that that was 6th in points allowed is now 31st?

We sent a few veterans packing this season, one after trading for him in the very same offseason. We traded for LB Benardrick McKinney and then cut him in one of the last cutdowns. We traded OG Ereck Flowers to the WFT for a swap of 7th RD picks. I was fine with trading Flowers because I figured that meant that we had our starting LG in Solomon Kindley, or maybe rookie OL Liam Eichenberg. In the short term, sending Flowers hasn’t worked for the better. I still feel like I’d rather have these guys learn than sit behind a vet like Flowers, but with that comes growing pains, and the QB (Tua) along with the offense itself have felt that pain. I was all for giving AVG more playing time and jettisoning KVN allowed that to happen. Getting rid of McKinney while a surprise allowed LB Elandon Roberts to play, and I feel he deserved that as well.

So what happens going forward with this team? Do they finally make the trade for Deshaun Watson? I certainly hope it doesn’t happen, because even if the team is better, marginally or significantly, I won’t feel good about it. It’s just not the ideal situation in my mind at all. “Hey, we have a QB in a hot mess of legal trouble due to his very questionable character, so will give him to you at 50 cents on the dollar”. Yeah, I’ll take a pass on that. Besides the fact that I like Tua, all he’s done since he’s got here is bust his ass to be the best he can be, and he has played well enough in my mind to give him more time to see what he can be. There’s also a huge risk factor that will only mitigated by less compensation initially, there will be no protection for us once the deal is done. Is Tua part of the deal? I would imagine so, but that much is not clear as of yet. Besides the potential trade, I want to see growth for all our young players. I want our O-line looking much better by the end of the season and I want our young LB’s playing at a high level and showing legitimate pass rush chops. I want Tua to show that not only does he belong and deserve to be our QB, but that he’s a damn good one that has earned our respect. It’s not ideal being 1-6, but there are still things that can happen that can make this season a good one. Let’s hope these things happen, all of them.

GO DOLPHINS!!

That’s what I am really wondering about right now…. and not talking Watson. If was a baseball team in the same position we would be trading.

Already know won’t be in the playoffs. So real Q is the future of the team as far as direction and plan.

    Still a great write though.

Tua still hasn’t even played a whole season, so it’s not like he’s had a ton of time to show what sort of QB he can be. If they truly are interested in Watson, I’d like to hear how they’ve made a decision on Tua already. You could make an argument that he’s played just as well as any other young QB with his number of starts. I get that he hasn’t looked as good as guys like Herbert or Burrow but he’s shown just as much or more than any other young QB. So, what is it they’ve seen that says he has to be replaced? I’m not completely bought into Tua yet myself, but I think he’s certainly shown enough to see what he can do this season. Watson also simply isn’t a “gotta have” sort of QB, to me.

Thanks guys! I’m going to be pissed if we go through with the Watson trade. I won’t really have any love for this team if they do that

  10. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Sorry to hear this — I liked Reid Sinnett.
    ———————————
After third-string quarterback Reid Sinnett was waived on Saturday to make room for wide receiver Isaiah Ford from the practice squad, the Dolphins were hoping that Sinnett would clear waivers and end up back on the practice squad himself.

However, the Eagles claimed Sinnett on Monday, leaving Miami with just two quarterbacks.

On Wednesday, during his media availability, head coach Brian Flores announced that the team would be signing quarterback Jake Dolegala to their practice squad.

  12. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Jake Dolegala is another ??? by Grier. Really, there was no better fit for this offense out there? Dolegala is a 6’7 pocket passer from Central Connecticut. Really?

  13. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I think a 3rd string QB is the least of our worries.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

What is there to worry about other than building for the future? Great teams are built by making the right move every little step along the way.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

But you never want 3rd string QBs playing. We’re 1-6 without them playing. I highly doubt it gets better with them in the game. That’s all I’m saying.

Right now our biggest issue is the defense failing us.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

But to my mind Reid Sinnett looked like he could have become a good and cheap #2 QB as early as next season. We lost the chance of that. And am sure at least the Eagles saw that too, which is why they picked him up.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Fair enough, don’t think it’s a big deal though. I’m more worried about our defense now. The offense looks like it might be putting it together a bit. The defense gives it up every time we need them.

I still want to see what they look like by the end of the season. I think Flores is a good young coach. He’s still trying to figure out how to be a HC. He’s not perfect. I’ve disagreed with a few of his decisions, but I also like a lot of the things he does. I can’t see Ross making a change but that’s up to him. It’s par for the course for this organization, frankly. That, more than anything, has kept us spinning our wheels in mediocrity for decades, IMO.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I’m with you. But there is no doubt that Flores’ seat is hot right now. Who would have thought it would be at season start? Will be 1-7 after Sunday. Gonna come down to the rest of the season. He and Tua are the ones with the most to play for.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I’m still going to root for the team to play better and to see young players develop. But I don’t like how the regime shows a lack of support for the QB they just drafted at #5 last year. Why did they draft him? If they don’t really think highly of him then they suck at evaluating talent and the scouting dept. sucks.

As a fan, I’m not letting Grier and Flores play this “it’s the QBs fault” game. The entire team has been out of sync. The best thing we’ve seen in recent games is Tua and the offense. Over 400 yards the last two games for only the 2nd time in the last 5 years. But let’s put it on the 2nd year top drafted QB with 13 starts and all the rehab he’s had to do. I think that’s a bunch of bullshit!!!

      • Capt. Stubbs's avatar Capt. Stubbs says:

To cut ties so quickly…. is ludicrous! I’m getting tired of this new “microwave ” society. You just can’t put 30 seconds on and expect it to be done You might as well just take “development ” out of the dictionary smh

We’re likely going to be sellers by the trade deadline (not counting a possible Watson trade), but I’m wondering how Danielle Hunter feels right now about the 3-3 Vikes? The word was that he wanted OUT of Minnesota, and here he is, fully recovered with 6 sacks in 6 games. Does he still want out? Should we upgrade our Defense instead of trading for Watson?

    Randy, what say you, man?

    Yep!

  22. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

ESPN just reported a few minutes ago that the Carolina Panthers are absolutely NOT interested in WATSON. Period.
    ——————-
Meanwhile, football idiot Steve Ross lets Tua twist slowly in the wind. HE COULD have said what Carolina just said, but NOO-O-O-O!! Little Stevie Blunder has nothing to say at all!! Way to back-up your players, Stevie!! No wonder players don’t want to play for this spineless owner!!
    ——————
FIRING GRIER and, possibly, Flores, too, WON’T SOLVE THE PROBLEM!! Blunder will only replace them with cheaper, dumber clones of Grier & Flores. Candidates with brains and class will stay as far away from Ross as they possibly can. They’ll look elsewhere after the season for employment in one of the OTHER FRANCHISES that have an opening.
    —————–
STEVE ROSS is the number one reason why, for the 21st consecutive season, the Dolphins won’t win a playoff game (Yes, I know, he’s ONLY been owner for 13 seasons. But no one else has done anywhere near as much damage to this franchise as Steve Ross!!).
    —————-
MY DECISION has already been made. I AM ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, NOT GOING TO RENEW MY TICKETS. Not now. Not ever, as long as Ross owns a majority of the team. And I have NO DOUBT that many thousands more will join me in NOT financially supporting the man who has dragged this franchise down like no other in history.
    —————-
DEBATING THE MERITS of Tua, Grier, Flores, etc. is meaningless. ONLY ONE THING CAN TRULY turn around this franchise.

    WE NEED A NEW OWNER!!

    • Capt. Stubbs's avatar Capt. Stubbs says:

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

OD, you can continue down the Ross path but he’s the owner. He either sells the team and gets out of the football business, or he keeps trying to get better. Nobody can fire him.

Based on what you said, Ross hires bad people so that means Grier and Flores aren’t good.

I like Tua better than all of them. He actually plays the game and will succeed in this league. Maybe not in Miami, and I’m getting to the point where I hope he plays for some team that is all in with him. He deserves better than this crap.

  23. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I call BS on that, Josh Boyer. Sure, ya can’t run the same thing over-and-over-and-over again, but where the hell is the ‘zero blitz, for one? Why are QB pressures and hits down by double-digits this year from last?

So if it worked so well last year, ya totally ditch it this year? That doesn’t make sense. Maybe use it with less frequency this year than last, but ya don’t just ditch what worked.

    ————-
Because Hunter wants/wanted OUT. They could get more in a trade for him right now than ever before… which is probably why we won’t be buyers at this time.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

For Parker? Everyone knows he can play but is 50/50 reliable with injuries. The same with a guy like Fuller. That’s been a bust signing so far.

    ——————
I don’t even know what to think regarding the entirety of this team, but I still feel there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians in the FO and staff: it’s a bloody beaurocracy, and that’s on Ross.

To be honest with ya, Tim… I don’t like it when even YOU are down on our team. 😦

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

It’s more about a collective direction of what this team is about and I don’t think this regime knows what that is. They created it though. Putting it on Tua is totally disrespectful in my view and it made me sour on Grier and Flores. Look at the rest of the team. We went very young but what are we really good at? Right now Tua is one of our best players.

One of the big mistakes is Austin Jackson. Whether at LT or LG he struggles and gets called for penalties that kill us in big spots almost every time. How many times do we hear #73? OL don’t want their number called out. Kindley was benched but Jackson continues to hurt this team. This regime seems to have a different criteria for the development of young players.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

3 to 4 weeks ago was when Austin Sackson drew my ire. Love the kid and he’s still a pup, but dammit. Was he a bad pick or is he not being coached properly? I dunno, but it truly confounds me.

    What is Highsman?

Highsman is a mentality that is defined by an appreciation for greatness, and it comes to life as the official cannabis lifestyle brand of entrepreneur, thought leader and one of the most electric NFL running backs of the century, Ricky Williams. Once scrutinized by sports pundits and fans alike for using cannabis to “take care of his body”, the formerly infamous #34 is flipping the script with his new line of personally curated cannabis products, apparel, and accessories– all provoking the Highsman mentality through deliberate Sparks of Greatness.

Calling upon his veteran palette for the selection of Highsman’s cannabis lineup, Ricky put hundreds of strains through a seemingly endless gauntlet of testing to identify those worthy of wearing the Highsman brand. Making the team are Ricky’s hand-picked favorites, each uniquely capable of being a catalyst for achieving the Highsman mentality at different moments in your day. Highsman’s lineup of cannabis products are available in energizing “Pregame”, focused “Halftime”, and relaxing “Postgame” varieties in loose flower and pre-roll options. Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines or climbing your way into the starting lineup, Highsman cannabis puts you in the zone when it counts the most.

I’ve seen all of them to get to the big game/series but lose every other time. Dolphins, Mets, Flyers and Knicks (not a big basketball fan – I think the game is lame). Baseball is also becoming a boring game. Football is hanging in there but getting worse. Hockey has tried to correct itself after years of dumb shit. Umps, refs and officials ruin sports with dumb rules.

So I’m used to that. But my Mr. Positive/Patience is running out. It’s not the games I grew up playing when I was young anymore. It’s all about money now. That’s not sports. That’s a business.

TIM; Regarding your 8:50 comments. I’m not literally saying ANYONE can FIRE STEVE ROSS. Did you REALLY think I was THAT STUPID?? What I’m saying, in fewer words, is to negate any future direct profits to the Spineless One by a) NOT paying for season tix; B) Not paying for his parking passes; C) NOT paying $11-$16 for his beer nor $12 for his cheeseburgers and D) NOT buying any more Fins’ gear UNTIL HE SELLS THE TEAM or dies!!

While some might say “MORE buyers of tix/beer/gear will simply take my place,” I am convinced sales of tix/beer/gear will be DOWN THIS YEAR, partly because FEWER PEOPLE ARE SHOWING UP FOR THE GAMES!! And, unless we get a new owner real soon, EVEB FEWER PEOPLE will show up NEXT YEAR TOO!

SO, if you think dissatisfied/disgusted season ticket holders can’t negatively impact the Spineless one’s bottom line, think again. NOT ONLY CAN IT HAPPEN. IT WILL HAPPEN. Now, yes, I know Ross will STILL make hundreds of millions of dollars each year simply from the TV revenue packages. He most certainly WON’T go to the poorhouse. But dropping attendance paired with much lower TV ratings is bound to have an impact. And these things ARE going to happen!!

The Phinstones have it right, Watson and Houston are driving these rumors

But the Miami Dolphins leadership is catastrophically bad and what really bothers me about this is that it exposes that

Ross is getting played by everyone and it’s super obvious to everyone

No matter what happens to the future of the team, or the QB position, we are stuck with Ross who appears to be a a strong financial portfolio away from a drooling idiot at this point

    This from Yahoo’s Charles Robinson:

“the Dolphins were the frontrunners for Watson. That never changed. No matter how many times other teams were thrown into the mix over the past two weeks, Miami was always ahead of everyone else. And it was for one simple reason: As we reported in August and as it always remained through today, Watson never relented on waiving his no-trade clause for any other team. He created the inside track for Miami long ago and never let anyone else into the running.”

Nice article Stanger, it would appear Watson doesn’t have to do anything, if he relents he gets suspended for 6 games without pay. if he stays status quo he still get’s paid and if he really wants to come to Miami he can do that after law suits are settled.
if he relents he wont get to play this season anyway until maybe week 13 and could possibly have criminal charges upcoming.
i think the only way this deal gets done is if Houston gives Miami protection from this legal crap.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

He’s getting paid full salary to sit on the bench without pads. If I’m him do my best to let that ride till the off season. Certainly wouldn’t settle the civil suites till knew about the criminal investigation. What would be the point?

A man who alleged in a lawsuit that he was fired from a hospital system because he is a white man has been awarded a $10 million verdict by a North Carolina jury.

David Duvall of Michigan sued Novant Health, Inc. in 2019 after he was fired as senior vice president of marketing and communications the previous year.

Duvall said in the suit that he was terminated without cause “as part of an intentional campaign to promote diversity in its management ranks” and that he was fired due to his sex and gender. Duvall was fired shortly before his fifth anniversary at the company and was replaced by a black woman and a white woman.

There’s only one stat that truly speaks to me which needs to be fixed: his career-long pass. Last year it was 35 yards, this year it’s 36 yards. Get the O-Line fixed and allow Tua time to drop some dimes deep, just as he had constantly done at Alabama: we HAVE the SPEED.

The DON even went so far as to predict that Griese well could return to the lineup a couple of months later DURING THE PLAYOFFS!!!

Watch it again, Tua’s college highlights. I counted 4 throws that traveled roughly 50 air yards with deadly accuracy before being caught.

Tua’s release time is getting ever quicker (like WOW!), he does possess a long arm (contrary to popular belief, and it’s only gotten stronger in his rehab), and he’s (always been) very aware in the pocket.

No… he doesn’t throw a Nolan Ryan fastball like Marino could, but he CAN go deep. I want to see him go deep again soon…

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Tua throws the ball like A-Rod with foresight, expectations, and great arc to lead the receiver and keeping it out of the range of defenders. I realize it’s much tougher in the NFL, but Tua will LEARN this in short time.

One does have to wonder when does an owner become a liability to it’s own company….

The one who took the risk, invested their own capital, spent money to provide a quality product, yet fail to produce the end results. Can an owner, with a hands-off approach, be maligned or be part of the problem?

For example, I’ve always thought J Jones was way too involved in football operations and made poor decisions. He hasn’t been to SB since JJ left, except for scraps from JJ.

The whole Deshaun Watson trade rumors are troubling to me. And, to go one step further, why hasn’t Grier said anything to Ross? No balls? Too cute? I’m confused on that, too.

Tagovailoa has struggled since entering the NFL, but it’s not all his fault. The Dolphins have put together a woeful offensive line unit in front of him. Nevertheless, even when isolating QB performance, Tagovailoa just hasn’t performed very well. He has been average, which is below expectation for a high first-round pick. Within the confines of the Dolphins’ scheme, he might look competent because only 49% of his dropbacks do not have an RPO, a screen, a rollout or a play-action attached to it — the highest in the league.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of arguing with a watson trade proponent on Twitter

Who of course said innocent until proven guilty (I don’t know why anyone says this in an argument as to why we should trade for some one but people do)

And when I corrected him to tell him that you can’t be innocent of what you admitted and Watson denies anything non consensual but has admitted to: shopping for “masseuses” on Instagram, paying them to come to Houston from out of state, and consensual sex with some of the women who were suing him – which sounds a lot like solicitation of sex across state lines (which is actually sex trafficking under the Mann act)

He suggested that watson was just paying from a massage…from Instagram models…and they ended up having sex…which isn’t illegal…lol

Did you guys know that according to Watsons attorney, he was using Instagram
To find massage therapist, not to solicit sex, but bc COVID made it hard for him to find a legitimate massage by other means…

    Is that believable?

People have twisted themselves into 🥨 to try to convince themselves that watsons legal issues aren’t serious and will eventually go away

    But the reality is

It’s 22 seperate civil actions against him. Not 1 class action where everyone accept one settlement. He has to settle 22 different cases and avoid 22 different verdicts.

It’s several, I think 10, complaints filed with the local police department

And there’s an FBI investigation, which is probably not state crimes like sexual assault, but federal crimes like violation of the Mann Act

Anyway I thought I would throw that tidbit out there so the time some one suggests their is a magical place somewhere where watsons legal issues disappear, you can approach it with reason

Laird’s been a third down back, played in the kicking game, Duke has been a third down back, Doaks is more of an early down, power back, Flores says about the options to join Gaskin and Ahmed.

Sigh… at the airport heading home … thank you to Florida, and all the festers that made it a great time away… very nice to meet a few new faces, and reacquaint with others…

Team turnaround is gonna happen because I broke down and bought a Tua jersey, more breathable than the one I had…

    Fins 38-Buff 31.. lock it in 🤷‍♂️🤡

Florida thanks you folks. Was a better place while you were here.

And Tua jersey is a bold move….. why not a Waddle? Might have some more treadwear on it.

Here’s my perspective on the Watson situation. As if anyone cares.

I don’t want him on the team. Beyond that, I think I these charges against him are ridiculous if the scenario is he located ‘massage therapists’ online, paid to fly them to Houston for a ‘massage’. Seriously, these women knew what they were doing, what they signed up for. To say anything different is absurd if you ask me. To me it looks like they are trying to turn it into a lottery ticket.

Herd, we care greatly about your POV and your take on this is an interesting one.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

It wouldn’t be a huge shocker if women who get paid for such services on the sly would also be willing to try and cash in afterwards. So been keeping in mind what is alleged is the worst that could have happened. But even the best doesn’t leave Watson looking good.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

He’s actually not facing charges right now
The women filed civil cases for sexual assault and other sex crimes

They allege they were non consensual encounters

My earlier post is a bit of a generalization

I agree if women we’re flown out to sleep with him, they shouldn’t sue – they knew what they were doing

But the reality is each of the 22 women have a different story, and some may be legit masseauses that he tried to get to do extras with….lol

So if he did something non consensual with anyone – I think he should be charged

And if he solicited sex, that a crime, it’s just not women that the women he solicited from have a right to pursue

His lawyer says he is being blackmailed and that’s possible….but I think more likely than not, it’s possible with some of the women, not all of them

Some. Any have been legit ,assuage therapists that he violated

Ken – Watch how you throw around that “Mr. Hyde” stuff. I’ll have you know that Hyde is an old and respected name in Florida.

Pigs – That was the point of the COVID article. Florida didn’t panic and shut down because of a surge because they studied the Delta surges in other places and decided it would be short lived.

Rock – You wacky commie Canuck, DeSantis is a good guv. COVID is here to stay. Can’t throw away individual rights while crushing your economy for the new flu.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

It’s not short-lived. They took quite a hit for most of 2021. And this week, while the entire country is experiencing lower numbers – they are too. That doesn’t demonstrate success for the time that they were the worst

I don’t know about other jurisdictions but Nyc hasn’t really been shut down in a while now. Restaurants have been at full capacity since June. The entire country was re-opening for 2021 while Fla was doing things like barring schools mask mandates and on cruises

The numbers are down everywhere now.

The numbers don’t support a successful strategy by Florida

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Honestly I’m a little tired of the topic
I think probably if we had a national plan from the get go rather than different states doing different things we would be doing much better now
So I don’t really want to debate which state did better.

But the entire country has down numbers now, that’s not unique to fla

and if we get past this winter, that may be here to stay

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I would have gone with vaccine or testing, but that is all on the build up to it. We’ll see what happens. Airlines are getting it done. Seems NYC should be able to as well.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

What are we going to do if we offend all the non-NYers with our mandates! It’s anarchy!

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

You guys let folks pop a beer and say “we don’t do that stuff in our state.” It’s a hassle but with in place people are safer. That’s the trade-off.

Sounds like Fuller is a ways away. “Next few weeks” ain’t exactly day to day.

Will Fuller – eligible to come off injured reserve – isn’t ready to return from his finger injury and “we’ll see in the next few weeks,” Flores said. He didn’t practice this week.
