Okay last game of the year. Let’s finish with a win against the Pats and at least have a winning record. Go Phins!!!

MikeE. The consensus on many sites have Nakobe Dean, UGA as LB1, he is super talented and a stud despite being only 6′ 225. Reminds me a lot of Devin Bush when he came out of Michigan but not as good vs the run as Bush and both are ILB’s. Decent speed for an ILB.

Looking at all the ILB’s this draft, you are either sacrificing size for speed or speed for size.

If we are looking at ILB, Christian Harris of Alabama 6’2 232 projected 4.67 and Chad Muma of Wyoming 6’3 242 projected 4.65. They are stout against the run, solid tacklers, blitzing but are lacking in coverage.

Dean is projected 1st round. Harris early to mid 2nd and Muma late 2nd to early 3rd.

There seems to be a ton of hype on Utah OLB Devin Lloyd 6’3 235 projected 4.70. He is considered LB2 by most sites and a 1st round pick. I watched him in one game and he always seemed to be chasing plays due to his lack of speed on the outside.

THE ONE who intrigues me most right now is PSU LB Brandon Smith 6’3 241 projected 4.4 but ran like a 4.38 when coming to PSU. PSU has lined him up in every LB position so he has a ton of versatility. He is a freak! Sites are all over the place on him. I have seen him listed as LB3 to LB13.

Another who can play every LB position is UGA Channing Tindall 6’2 230 projected 4.44. I think is is mainly playing on the inside for UGA right now.

At OLB, it’s hard for me to differentiate sometimes btwn OLB/EDGE and EDGE/DE. It’s the different sites that confuse the hell out of me on this. At OLB, there is another freak out there with Brandon Smith above being tops due to his versatility, UGA (again) Adam Anderson 6’5 230 projected 4.39.

I think the most underrated on all these draft sites is LSU ILB Damone Clark, 6’3 245 projected 4.59. Dude just seems to be everywhere the ball is though he could be better at attacking downhill.

My homer pick is IU ILB Micah McFadden 6’2 232 projected 4.79, he is a downhill thumper and a superb blitzer from the ILB position. He is a liability in coverage unless he is just dropping back in zone.

There are many more I need to look at like 2 from Oklahoma and Pappoe from Auburn.

You want to get a good look at LB prospects, just watch the National Championship game. It will be loaded with LB’s who will go in first 3 rounds:
    Nakobe Dean,Georgia
    Adam Anderson, Georgia
    Channing Tindall, Georgia
    Quay Walker, Georgia
    Nolan Smith, Georgia
    Christian Harris, Alabama
    Henry To’o To’o, Alabama
    CHristopher Allen, Alabama

To make a long response longer, I did not list the OLB/EDGE players I view as mainly Edge but can play both.
    Kingsley Enagbare, South Carolina
    Drake Jackson, USC
    Sam Williams, Ole Miss
    David Ojabo, Michigan
    Isaiah Foskey, ND
    Brenton Cox Jr., Florida
    Merlin Robertson, Arizona St.
    Alex Wright, UAB
    Among others…..

Thanks BBM on the LB’s. I like Roberts but I would like an upgrade.

  20. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Good play call on 3rd and short. With nothing to lose, it was a guarantee we’d gone for it on 4th down.

So the Raiders and Chargers can conspire to tie, and they are both in and the Steelers are out

I was reading about that yesterday. Seemed kind of far fetched at the time….

  32. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

We need to wear the throwbacks all the time.

  33. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

  44. Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

WTH ? fake in first qtr in your own territory? I really don’t get that. Got lucky with the flag. maybe just a ‘nick’ of the helmet at best. lol

  45. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

I don’t think he hit him. Oh well…..

  46. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Tua has too many of those

  47. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Everyone is going to say that should have been an INT but Parker was interfered with badly

  48. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Lol, that was a gift. Why is palardy sliding there?

  49. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

Shut up. About time we got a call.

  50. New Age's avatar New Age says:

We got lucky on that call. Ill take it

  51. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

He didn’t really hit him but he ducked his helmet and the intension was there. If Palardy had not gotten down that much he would have nailed him and been ugly.

  52. Wyoming85's avatar wyoming85 says:

  53. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

That’s the danger of playing a team with no playoff implications. They will pull out all the tricks.

The Pats got calls like that for years so fuck them. LOL

  54. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Someone forgot to tell the players they were eliminated before the Titans game

  55. Wyoming85's avatar wyoming85 says:

  56. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Wait, Tua signals the O-line to run block. I was under the impression the O-line has no idea whether it’s a run or pass. I think that’s because they just look like they don’t know what they’re supposed to do

  57. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

If there is something I would like to see less of in future broadcasts

It’s the Jean Steratore of an explanation

    It’s not about the substance
    It’s jut boring stuff

I don’t like the game with a lot of penalties
I certainly don’t like analysis of each one

  58. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

I wonder if things would have been different if we’d had Johnson playing all year? He’s been pretty good for us.

  64. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

  65. Wyoming85's avatar wyoming85 says:

    Robert Jones at RT

  66. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Again, check out #77 when he is in the huddle for Pats and walking up to the line. Dude is freaking MASSIVE. I did notice him take a play off when it was a screen to the other side.

  67. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    AVG almost had the pick

  68. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

#77 got away with a hold on Wilkins that play

  69. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

My son just said “Man, it really stinks we didn’t win the last game.” Yes, yes it does.

  70. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

77 bulldozed Wilkins off the line that run play

  71. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

    Lol @ Piggy

  72. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Is it weird that they waited until final game to bench Jessie Davis

  73. New Age's avatar New Age says:

    Our Run D is horrendous.

  74. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    Roberts *whiff

  75. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Fuck, there’s that run defense from last week

  76. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

That’s why we need a LB. Roberts missed his run fill.

  77. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Come on offense keep the pressure on.

  78. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

When Duke Johnson runs well it’s we really like him and should keep him. When the other team runs the ball well it’s our run defense sucks. It’s a football game!!! LOL

  79. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Even though he completed that pass to Parker, didn’t like that decision

  80. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I saw Trenton Brown really holding on to Wilkins’ jersey taking him out of the play 3 times that drive. He knows exactly when to let go so he don’t get called. He lunged and whiffed on that TD run but it was to the left side anyway

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Been saying for years the cheats teach their OL how long they can hold, what they can’t do and when to let go

Came to that conclusion after the McNair Titans blitzed the shit out of Brady 4th qtr of AFC Championship, but couldn’t get to him

  81. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

    Huge drop

  89. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Let’s put a fork in Jackson already

  90. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

1 first down would have been nice

  91. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

ohhhh, Waddle would have been GONE

  92. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Wow, that throw was pathetic as was the protection.

  93. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Did we get a new punter for that last punt

  94. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

#73 Mr. Jackson really hurts our offense often. I really thought he’d be better. He’s not.

  95. bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

Once again the offense looks like crap outside of the 1st scripted series

  96. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Every time they show a replay of our offense, I see at least one OL fucking something up…usually Jackson.
