Dolphins 2022 Free Agency

Sorry Dolphins fans, this Free Agency thing has left me deflated and disappointed. To be fair, Free Agency isn’t over yet, but up to this point, I haven’t seen anything that to make me feel optimistic about our chances for the playoffs this season. It’s not about grabbing big names, if you know me, I’m not that provincial, but I’m very uninspired with what I’ve seen from Chris Grier and Co. as so far. We re-signed a bunch of players, and I’m thrilled we got a contract done with DE Emmanuel Ogbah. He was an absolute necessity, a huge part of our defense and having him along with Jaelan Phillips should be an even more dangerous combo this season as Phillips learns and grows. After Ogbah though, I feel like we almost got complacent. Plus, Ogbah was here already, we just managed to retain him. So where are the upgrades we desperately needed?

We got some feel good re-signs like Elandon Roberts, Sam Eguavoen, Brennan Scarlett and Duke Riley, but if I sure wouldn’t have minded instead of re-signing every single LB that was on our roster that maybe subtract 2 or 3 or 4 of those guys and get Bobby Wagner. Wagner would be an immediate upgrade over any and every LB we re-signed. I want to elevate, not levitate. It’s not like we had the best defensive unit in the NFL and just had to keep it intact. Far from it. We were a decent defense, better than average, although right in the middle of points allowed. At the moment, Bobby Wagner is still available. He’s such a quality individual, he would have to be one of the captains, a guy teammates would look up to. He would make our defense better, and while #55 Baker had a fine season again last year, he’d be ever better with Wagner, everyone would.

Time for the meat and potatoes. Ah yes, the O-line. So far we have Connor Williams, who is a a talented yet flawed player, not too unlike 4/5 of our O-line before he got here. He’s further along than our current crop perhaps with the exception of RG Robert Hunt. He did have a propensity for flags last season and that needs to be fixed. He’s a very good run blocker and fits what we want to do here. I still feel like Austin Jackson and Liam Eichenberg will be our LT and RT respectively. Unless of course we sign Terron Armstead, but I don’t see that happening. I still feel like we need an upgrade on the interior, specifically C. It’s possible that upgrade come via the draft in Tyler Linderbaum, but would be willing to trade up to get him?

We had a bunch of re-signs for position players too, Preston Williams returns for a show me season. Former Dolphins (and 49ers) RB Raheem Mostert also returns. We gave former Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds a nice 2 year contract. He does however scream RUNNING BACK BY COMMITTEE, and that’s fine, but we seem to pine for an upgrade every single season but it never seems to come. Besides that, I feel the need to point out that we have been just atrocious in our record of free agent running back signings, beyond awful really. Jordan Howard, Matt Breida (He was a trade), and Malcolm Brown. The production of those 3 probably doesn’t add up to what Myles Gaskin gave us last season. Now to the WR’s. Cedrick Wilson. He could be a decent player but upgrade? I mean big upgrade? Wilson played primarily on the slot but can play outside as well. He had two 100 yard games, but take into account that Dak Prescott threw for 4449 yards last season, not impressive. He was #4 in targets last year, behind Cee Dee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and Michael Gallup. He finished the season with 602 yards and 6 TD’s on 45 receptions. Not bad, but like most of the signings except Ogbah and Gesicki, is not bad what our anemic offense needs? It’s true that this draft is chock full of WR talent, and one of them will undoubtedly be available at #29, but then you kiss Tyler Linderbaum goodbye. My point is, unless we fix either the WR situation in FA, or the O-line in FA, it’s going to be difficult to expect both of those to be addressed properly via the draft with our current draft position. Do we trade away future assets, or players in order to do that? It’s possible.

We definitely upgraded our backup QB situation signing QB Teddy Bridgewater. I always liked Bridgewater, he’s a gamer. He’ll be a good guy for Tua to lean on. I like the FB signing of Alec Ingold although he is coming off an ACL tear November 16, 2021. He’s a team captain and a guy that will be a spark in the offense. We also signed former 49ers WR Trent Sherfield who is mostly a ST’s player. Remember, we lost WR Mack Hollins to the Raiders. If you’re looking for positives, OG Connor Williams is a very strong run blocker. FB Alec Ingold is also a strong run blocker but again, we need to add more talent on the O-line and in the RB corps. Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed and Gerrid Doaks. Which one of these guys does the opposing defense worry about running the ball? I’d like one guy that the defense thinks about before the game “Man, I really hate tackling that due, he’s physical”. That guy isn’t on our roster.

If you subtract the re-signs, you have to be underwhelmed by what we’ve done. I like the Connor Williams signings and while I have a La’el Collins chiffon robe that has never been worn, I don’t think I’ll get that opportunity. He’s probably going to the Bengals to win. Speaking of winning, the Bills signed Von Miller to a monster 6 year contract. Think we need to fix the O-line? Let’s just play in fantasy land for a moment and say La’el Collins doesn’t feel the love ($$$) from the Bengals and we somehow snatch him up. My guess would be the O-line would be as such:

LT Austin Jackson

LG Connor Williams

C Michael Deiter (Or Tyler Linderbaum?)

RG Michael Hunt

RT La’el Collins

That wouldn’t be bad, especially if you sub Linderbaum for Deiter. Back to the defense for a second. Now that we have every single LB we had last season after re-signing THREE, how about getting Bobby Wagner?

LDE Emmanuel Ogbah

NT Raekwon Davis

RE Christian Wilkins

WLB Andrew Van Ginkel

LILB Bobby Wagner

RILB Jerome Baker

SOLB Jaelan Phillips

CB Xavien Howard

CB Byron Jones

S Jevon Holland

S Brandon Jones

Doesn’t that look, and feel good? Seriously, give Bobby a nice front loaded contract and if his play declines after a couple of years, it won’t hurt at that time. It’s NOT about making a splash, that would legitimately be a big upgrade on defense. He’s such a smart, instinctive player and a high character, high motor individual. I would really like that.

Now for the bad? news . . . The WR corps.

DeVante Parker, Jaylen Waddle, Cedrick Wilson, Lynn Bowden Jr., Allen Hurns, Preston Williams, Trent Sherfield, River Cracraft, Cody Core and DeVonte Dedmon. Isaiah Ford is a Free Agent. Can you ever really expect DeVante Parker to play healthy for a full season? NO! I love to watch Parker when he’s healthy, he’s a game changer. Maybe that happens 5 or 6 games a season. Will Allen Hurns survive cutdowns? Probably not. Preston Williams is a DeVante Parker in clone healthwise, he can’t stay healthy either. In other words, it’s Waddle, Wilson and who????? I feel like our 1st and 2nd RD picks have to be used on C/WR/RB. But that’s THREE! We only have 2. Say we traded one of our future 1st RD picks from 2023, where we have two. We pick up Tyler Linderbaum at 29, then trade up to the next spot and take Jameson Williams and then with our next pick we take either Kenneth Walker or Breece Hall. Now you’re talking, right?! Don’t bet on it. There’s still a chance to improve this team, Free Agent C’s J.C. Tretter and Bradley Bozeman are available. Bobby Wagner is also out there. Make us smile, make us better!

The page turn might have lost my post. This should tell you about the kind of players we’re bringing in. Not just numbers and 40 times etc., but character. I’m now even a bigger fan.

Oh by the way Omar Kelly, who are the defensive players that are not fans of Josh Boyer? Who has left the team?

Maybe next time when you and David Hyde share a bath together giggling about, you might come up with something accurate. Probably not! It’s not about the patience brigade. You both are in the doofus brigade. LOL

  5. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Know what our problem is? We have a southpaw as a QB, and there are only so many ELITE RTs in the league.

For instance, if Tua was right-handed, we’d probably give the moon to Terron Armstead to come to Miami (even though he’s missed more games than DeVante over the last several years).

La’el Collins would seem to fit the bill for a franchise, blind-side protecting RT… but we may have lost him to the Bengals. We should have traded for him, IMO.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Yet if today reminded us of anything (Deshaun Watson spurning the Saints and Falcons, to go to the Brownies), $$$ talks, and BS walks.

We may still be able to outbid the Bengals for La’el’s services… but how much is too much?

  6. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Yeah he couldn’t possibly help us, he’s just a meh signing being overpaid at $6+M per year for 2 years. Not sure what we were thinking. LOL

Don’t rule out Trent Brown at RT

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I just can’t see Trent Brown (all 380 pounds of him) being nimble enough to protect Tua’s blindside. I mean, he’s a classic mauler opposite the traditional blindside Tackle.

Yeah, he’s still in the mix, but I’d rather have La’el by MILES. JMO

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Brown is really good. He is a mountain. I would rather have Collins too but I am a little worried about him after the circumstances of his suspension and bribery allegations

That seems to be the key, everyone had him going to the Bengals and he still may, but it wasn’t a lock

  20. ukfinfan's avatar ukfinfan says:

Had to post and fly yesterday, but would like to expand on what I said by way of explanation.

I’m pretty heartened by the overall current demeanour of this board tbh. I approve of a large dose of pessimism (except for PP and Tim) to be on display all during the off-season, practice games and until at least mid-season, or a time when this team has shown itself to be anything other than mediocre. That being said, I perhaps have a little more hope than previous years, rather than optimism.

How many times have we splashed in FA, spunked Ross’s $ up the wall and flopped? How many times have we drafted players with a huge amount of upside and sat and waited for it to appear, and it has only done so when players have moved away. FFS Dion-FF and Charles Harris made careers away from S. Fla after we had tattooed bust on their arses and shipped them out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying either is a HoFer, but other teams developed them into something where we failed!

When did the fins last play complementary football? Maybe the perfect season and the year after? Otherwise it’s been a squad of individuals who have had some talent but have only ever competed on one side of the ball effectively in almost all seasons since.

What we brought in was a HC who is a teacher. On this basis, my opinion (which counts for little in terms of football knowledge, compared to the board collective, I admit) is that we have to trust McD to come in, inform, develop and mould players to his will and his game-plan through teaching and mutual respect. We don’t necessarily need to pick the top FAs to get over the top IMO. It pains me to say this (and I know they had TB) but we need to do it the Patriot way. Which involves getting pieces in to do jobs and do them well, take away what the opponent does well and do what you do well. The salary cap prevents teams assembling a roster of “galacticos” and I’m ok (for now at least) letting McD assemble a roster of players who will do their job and hopefully do it well, despite not carrying the label “star”. He may not even get everything right first time too, but for now, I have hope.

As an added bonus, he seems like the type of smart chap who would have a plan B, C and D and the flexibility to adapt to opponents week to week and in-game. So I’ll sit here in hope, which always springs eternal, but will reserve my optimism until this hope has been converted into actual performance.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Kind of what I was saying to Mike yesterday about the current article, why didn’t TB win last year, they had the same players…

Why is on any given Sunday a thing? Because the talent level from the top team to the worst isn’t that far off

    R.I.P. John Clayton.

  24. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Our talent level on the OL isn’t really subpar, we had an OL coach in over his head teaching raw players, blind leading the blind

Flo-mez should’ve been fired on that alone

Would still feel better, if we had La’el, but think we can become an average+ blocking team with what we have

Blocking team referring to everyone on O doing their part, which Mickey D said will happen

  25. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Raheem Mostert grew up in New Smyrna Beach FL, his TD celebration is swimming out on a surf board, then hanging 10

If healthy he’s someone you have to account for, that should help our passing game and possibly give Tua some play action time to throw deep, you know since we now know he can throw it 70 yards😃

  26. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I had to take a step back and evaluate my frustrations with free agency and get over my personal preferences because, WTF do I know anyway. LOL They have actually done, for the most part, what we wanted. Our defense is intact, they resigned our TE’s we wanted, they brought in a good LG (a huge weakness for years), upgraded our RB room with speed and RB’s who fit really well and brought in 2 good ST players who add depth, one to each side of the ball. On top of that, they didn’t release anyone to create more cap room and still have some cash available.

I have been saying don’t sleep on RT Larnel Coleman and lately been bitching about us not getting more OL. WTF

I have convinced myself that these young OL just need better teachers and we got a slew of them now.

When I sit back and look what they have done, they have put together a roster they want and can work with. They have put us in position to go any direction in the draft which is where you want to be. We can upgrade any area depending on who is there. Though, I still think the main focus in the draft will be who is there as far as ILB, OL, WR, RB, S.

Still would like to see one more OL in FA whether it be Tretter, Bozeman or Collins. If they got an OC and Collins, the sky is the limit come draft time.

SO, what you bitchin’ about Tim? 😉

    • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

They certainly have a plan that’s been executed fairly well.

For the most part it seems we all agree, imagine all the people…..

Just want one more baller on OL and ILB…lol.

      • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I agree. For me it’s more OL as far as another FA signing. I am good with getting a young stud ILB via the draft whether it be Dean, Chenal, Tindall, Clark or Muma.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Could not agree more BBM. You never know what will happen, but this team is already better on paper than last year’s. And we still have cap left and the draft to come.

  27. sb7mvp's avatar sb7mvp says:

    BBM,
Please don’t sell yourself short. You’re one of the most knowledgeable football people on this board. It’s other guys who should listen to you, not the other way around. At least you admit when you are wrong about something, instead of passive-agresssively attacking people personally and misrepresenting their arguments to make themselves feel smarter only to flip their own argument and pretend they were saying the same thing the whole time. Often times outright plagiarizing the words of others and trying to pass them off as their own.
Being realistic doesn’t exclude optimism. A person can be both. We’ve done a lot of good things this offseason, but have we done enough? That’s the question that needs answered, especially when other teams in our conference are upgrading. It’s a valid point worth asking.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

      Thanks brother, I appreciate that!

As far as, have they done enough? I don’t know. We have a group of OL guru’s (hate that word) to coach up our OL. They know 100x more than I do as far as what we got in talent on the OL. I kind of get the feeling the last regime didn’t know what they wanted on the OL or how to properly teach/use what they had. Playing musical chairs with Eich is a perfect example. The OL was never settled by TC and not even until halfway through the season. Even then, we were all like, WTF???

  28. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I was looking at the updated 1st round draft order after all the trades. There are 2 WR needy teams with multiple 1st round picks I think Jameson Williams won’t get past. Philly and Green Bay. Guess I should finally move on from the hope he falls. I have also seen mocks of him going to the Pats but Bellicheat would want to replace JC Jackson first, I would think.

  29. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Wow there’s not a position of need for us remaining to draft!

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Not need but depth/potential upgrade at ILB and on OL. I think with the 1 year contracts given to our ILB’s, that may be a target at #29 or #50. Just a guess though.

I think the kid potentially has all pro stuff at guard, but he’s gotta stay in shape. All our OL need to focus on being fit to run a zone well. Ya can’t be losing a step as the game goes on because you’re out of shape and tired. It throws off everything.

Steve – TB went 13-4 and lost by a FG to the SB winners. I guess if you want to go 9-8 again this season let’s keep it all the same. Obviously I’m BB, and of course some of our young players are going to grow and play better with better coaching. That being said, I wasn’t asking for a player that’s gonna flop here. I think we sign Bobby Wagner and that guy comes here and plays really well in our defense. If they think they can fix the O-line w/o another player, I hope they’re right. I’ve said it so many times here that our young guys are probably going to get another chance and I believe they should. I do feel a better C could upgrade the O-line. I’m not all doom and gloom, I’m just not sure we’ve added enough talent, high level talent. BUF was far better than us and they added one of the best pass rushers in the game. How many guys did the Bucs and Rams add, top tier talent? Just saying that we’ve been outside the playoffs looking in for a while, maybe it’s time to elevate the talent. Knowimsayin?

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I guess we’re going to have to wait and see how the roster looks heading into TC. A lot can change from now until the draft and then the June 1st cuts.

Point was keep the guys that got you to 9-8, then add to that, if we spend big for one or 2 players, then let Ogbah and Gesicki go, have we really gotten better overall? Maybe

Or we re-signed Ogbah and Gesicki, then let the Smythe’s, Needham ‘s and others go then got a couple of top guys that maybe fit in or fell off after getting paid

  43. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Bookman, with Mostert on a one year deal, Edmonds two years and Gaskin being a FA in 2023, drafting a RB seems to be obvious this year.

We need another star on D and another 2 stars on Offense.
X and Wilkins and Holland are stars. Baker and Ogbah and Phillips are close. Best place to add a star is ILB.
On offense, Waddle is a star. Gesicki is close. Tua might be close. Best place to add a star is … ???
    WR or RB or OT?

  45. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Naples – are you in favor of Bobby Wagner or do you prefer the draft? I know there’s a couple of prospects you like.

  46. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Do we need stars or players when called on to do their job?

When I think about our offense, obviously the OL play has to get better. But Tua has to elevate his play. That could change everything. Oh yeah and the McD run game has to be good. 😉

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

By Tua getting better I’d say, just stop making those few boneheaded plays a game, sometimes ints and sometimes not

At the fest he threw a short pass over the middle for an ugly int in 1st half, 2nd half he had Waddle wide open on the 10, but chose to throw deep behind Waddle into triple coverage int

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

For me it’s not so much the mistakes because he doesn’t make a lot of them. He needs to make more big plays.

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

He needs to do both, it’s when he forces it, that he gets I to trouble

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I’ll say this – it’s rare to have a really good team and not have a few players worthy of the Pro Bowl or even All Pro

  47. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Steve – just want to clarify here. So if we sign Armstead or Wagner we effed up?

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

      Armstead yes, Wagner no

We CAN sign TOP FAs, but we need the lunch pail guys that too

We have enough money to do both, some of the cap hits for guys like Ogbah have been horrible, unless they plan on making some cuts

  48. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Steve – no, great players get noticed. That’s why X is in the pro bowl every year when no other Dolphin player is. We need more X’s and less zeros

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I see what you’re saying. But we have a few players that are just a level below. I’m cool with a lot of players that are good not great though. Without a star studded team we did win 19 games the last two seasons. Hopefully some of our young players can take it to another level and we hit on a great draft pick. I think Waddle, Holland and Phillips could be all-pro in the next couple of years.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

That’s going to have to happen if we’re going to be among the elite teams. Chiefs have like 5 guys that are worthy of those awards. One team that tends to be closer to what you’re saying is the Ravens, but they also haven’t had the success lately either. You need a few high level talent players to lift the team

  49. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Steve, even the great QBs make mistakes. I recently saw a break down of Rodgers last year against the 49ers in the playoffs where he had guys wide open but still threw it to Adams in double coverage. The difference is he usually makes great decisions and big plays. You can get past a couple of bad decisions or throws when you’re putting points on the board.

  50. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Think of JT and Zach Thomas making all those pro bowls and All Pro. It wasn’t because our team was great, far from it. They were just great players. If you’re saying the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest of sorts, that’s true, but better players still get in.

  51. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

A lot of us support Tua and think he can be a very good QB. If he raises his level of play that will make the biggest impact on our team. As they say, it’s a QB driven league. We have a solid team all around with some exceptions, but QB play has to be at a high level. Not saying the best, but very good.

  52. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

I don’t really get the whole “if Tua elevates his performance” spiel….lol…seriously.

Really? I bet anyone on this board if the OL is ranked in 30s AGAIN this year that he will still improve….lmao…elevated performance at dealing with shit! Nice….

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He can still improve his own game regardless of anyone else. I’m not bashing him, but he’s a young player entering his 3rd season. Just like the other young guys, he can get better too.

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

I said that and even under the worse of conditions…lol. So, we agree..
        .
He’s been injured and out I think 14 games out of 32…hmmmm. From the patience dude no less…lol.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He’s played in 23 games with 21 starts in a possible 33 games.

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

        Thank you for correcting me…so a rookie season + 6 games…really?

I don’t see the patience with him…lol…you crack me up

    Rodgers had Devante Adams.

  55. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

    Tim
I was agreeing with you about trading future or other picks to get players to win right now instead of playing safe with mediocre guys or always rebuilding.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Yeah man, we can do it without trading the farm. We knocked on playoffs door but fell short the last two seasons with a very young team. Why not try to kick it down? 🙂

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

We should not have been in the playoffs last year….it would have been embarrassing…AGAIN!

  56. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Steve I agree Armstead has been hurt too much and costs too much. I’d prefer Wagner who can change a game.

The biggest reason that I’m hopeful and optimistic is what I perceive to be much better coaching on Offense.

  58. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

The thing about having stars is if your guy is better than their guy, then your guy should win one on one in crunch time. Teams with more stars more often move on in the playoffs.

Steve – no, great players get noticed. That’s why X is in the pro bowl every year when no other Dolphin player is. We need more X’s and less zeros

I’m talking about fringe stars, those that play exactly the same when the team doesn’t make the playoffs, then once the team does they make the PB

The O should have been blown up…imo. What playmaker in the draft can we get that is a sure thing…big if, imo.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

So making the playoffs would be worse than not making it?

Also, to all of you talking ILB, do you mean a guy who is a thumper or another all-around LB who can play 3 downs? I’d like to see us add another LB too but not sure what the trip is on ILB. That’s the key to us winning?

  63. sb7mvp's avatar sb7mvp says:

  64. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Didn’t see it, but Hunt and Williams (?) are studs. The rest have shown shit…

…and Tua needs to improve his performance with 60% shit….ok.

  65. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Krishna, I’m totally patient with Tua. I think he can be really good. But he has to get better like all other young players. I think he’d say the same thing.

    • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Agreed, but you seem to put him out context with your overall evaluation of the O….and I’m challenging that perspective…

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Agreed he has to get better and petty sure he will….

He will NEVER reach his potential playing behind shit…facts!

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

QBs are a big deal. They touch the ball on every play. Usually when they don’t play well, their teams lose. It doesn’t mean the game wasn’t competitive, but lots of games come down to the 4th quarter. Sometimes you have to win a shootout too.

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Yep and when your QB has been blessed with OL at NE one can and should excel at their craft…how do you disagree with that?

I don’t like getting emarrassed. When was the last time-lol-we were in the playoffs? I’m pretty sure it was embarrassing…lol.

  68. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Krishna, all I’m saying is Tua can improve on his craft as well. Not that it’s all on him. But if he raises the level of his play we’ll win more. I’m a fan of Tua. 🙂

    • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

It doesn’t sound that way to me…but glad you’re supporting him.

Every player needs to improve their craft every year….seemed you thought it was all on him.

Yeah that’s the carry over, once we make some cuts it should go way up

I really don’t get the hemp/ THC laws and shaming in this country…

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

Some people think lowering our drug laws leads to a slippery slope. Looking at CA laws, I have to agree. In the trucking industry, it’s a zero-tolerance policy. While I don’t care if the NFL allows it, what’s so bad about having standards today? Especially for millionaires who play with balls for a living?

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Not sure what you said…drive responsibly? That wasn’t rhe topic I brought to the table…lol

      • New Age's avatar New Age says:

Lol. Right or wrong, people shame to get others to do what they want. The reason for shaming is they don’t want them doing THC. On the legal side, strong PACs against THC formed and until lately they held a lot of sway. That’s until states figured they were wasting some prime tax revenue. The only reason THC laws have changed is not that people saw the error of their ways, but the government wanted even more money from the citizenry. Sad honestly.

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Sad honestly….and the lobbyist are in control. If you have competition buy the medical profession….lol!

  73. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Some fans on Dolphins Twitter were optimistic when Jacoby Brissett took over for an injured Tagovailoa last season, but that turned in to nothing short of a dumpster fire.

Brissett played well in Indy and NE, if he had hit the ground running in 2021, it would’ve been telling for Tua, since he didn’t and Tua got us back into contention, it’s a big positive

I think he’ll be on the verge of franchise QB this year

    • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Hope you’re right about Tua but need to protect him if you want his best…He was that at AL….facts.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Coach McD and his staff will try to get the best out of Tua. That’s been their motto. I have no doubt Tua will work his ass off.

  74. New Age's avatar New Age says:

It’s been a pretty boring FA and we needed more than we’ve gotten so far. While I respect a frugal businessman, it’s hard to watch teams like the Rams going all in every year and the cost is pushed back every year. I don’t know if a ring is worth not having 3-4 years’ worth of 1st round dudes, but I think everyone in LA doesn’t seem to care. You see the Browns go all in, to ridiculous fashion, but then so is GB, the Raiders, Chargers, etc. Meanwhile, we did resign all of our average defense, most of our backups, and a hopefully decent OL dude. Yay!? Collins is too expensive, but didn’t we know that before he hit the market? Is fixing our OL not worth a bit of expense? When WRs are getting $30 mill a year and QBs 50? Just seems like digging through the Goodwill before your big job interview.
