So now the mystery is revealed, the 2022 NFL Schedule has finally been released. By the amount of “Prime Time” games the Dolphins have received, 3, it appears the NFL schedulers don’t believe the Dolphins are a top tier team. The Dolphins do get a Thursday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincy Week 4 (September 29th) for PT game #1. The Pittsburgh Steelers will visit the Dolphins for a Sunday Night matchup Week 7 for PT game #2 (October 23rd). The Dolphins final prime time appearance will be Christmas Day, home against the Packers. There’s another theory floating about that the Dolphins get a bit of a slap in the face, specifically Dolphins owner Steve Ross, for the whole Brian Flores’ lawsuit fiasco, and of course the tanking controversy that comes with it. I’d love to think it it’s the latter rather than the former, but we’ll likely never know.
I’m surprised and disappointed the Dolphins only get 3 prime time games, considering the Chicago Bears also get 3. I was shocked to find out this morning as I listened to WQAM as weekly guest Mike Florio from PFT agreed the Dolphins should have more prime time appearances. If Mike Florio says the Dolphins should get more respect, rest assured we should get more respect!Moving on from prime time games, we face FOUR Prime Time teams in a row. We will host the Patriots Week 1, then travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens. We go back home to face the Bills, who we just have not belonged on the same playing field with. Then we travel to Cincinnati to face the Super Bowl runner up Bengals. That’s a tough stretch right there.
In Week 13, we start our second tough stretch with 3 road games starting with the a West Coast trip to San Francisco to play Darlene’s 49ers. We stay on the West Coast in Cali to play to the Chargers in Los Angeles in Week 14. Then back to the East Coast to face our nemesis and division rival in the cold climes of Upstate NY to face the Bills. Then we face the Green Bay Packers for a toasty warm Christmas Day matchup. Then up north again to meet up with the Patriots in Foxboro on New Year’s Day. The season finale will be at home against the New York Jets.
I think those two tough stretches will define this team. Will HC Mike McDaniel be able to start strong facing four very formidable opponents right out of the gate? The middle of the season may provide a little relief with the Lions, Bears, Browns and Texans, but we will need to be in good enough shape at that juncture to be a playoff team, we can’t be 1-5 or 2-4, because the schedule gets pretty tough right after that facing the Niners, Bolts, Bills and Packers, and then a tough matchup against the new and improved Jets for the finale.
Let the Fest deliberations begin!
#Stangerstrong
GO DOLPHINS!!!!
Note: The Fest Poll is on the right of the screen – Please vote if you wish to attend a particular date. Thanks

Spotrac has us at 21.3m under
Adding in this contract plus Michel puts us at about 17m under
.916m for Tindall, less than #51 Jenkins, so our rookies signing won’t count towards top 51 and those that make the final 53 will be a cap savings
Dudley Dipshit Dowrong has our rookies costing us about 6m
Still crapping on Tua I see. Seems to be some sort of game the BCs of the world love to play.
Love the Ingram signing. Great experienced vet coming in to help mentor the younger players at a really good price.
Man, you guys are killing me with the fest. I am supposed to be in Cherokee, NC trout fishing that weekend then drive the pass to Gatlinburg on the 17th to spend 3 nights in a cabin. We do this every year for the fall color change and Ober Gatlinburg October Fest (wife). I do it for the fishing and moonshine tasting. lol
The Kongs are booked at Margaritaville and fly in on the 14th. I am excited to finally be meeting some of the Mob after 16 years on these dang blogs…
I’m also excited to cross “Dolphins game in Miami” off ye olde bucket list.
It’ll actually be my first time attending any Dolphins game, and ultimately was what got my wife on board with the trip.
I told her no way my first Dolphins game was going to be a road game in Santa freakin Clara. So if she wanted that game, we had to do the fest game first.
Congrats Kong!! My first Dolphins was when I got to meet the Rhino gang and the Krishna’s in Houston with my son. Great, great people!!! I can only imagine what a fest will be like. Unfortunately, we got stomped. My first Dolphins home game was the last game for Brady vs Dolphins in Miami. We got stomped again. Finally, last year, we went to the Jets at Miami in December and got the W in a really good/fun game to watch.
Hopefully, you have the same experience as my 3rd go around and meet the great people on this blog.
Cheers 🙂
It’s funny you bringing up the Texas fest. I was telling my wife about it last night and I was running down the participants; I recalled Krishna and Rhino, and I knew a Florida guy was there, but couldn’t remember who it was.
Looking forward to meeting you and the wife.

Really looking forward to raising a glass with you 🙂
Hey at least you get to meet them. I’ll never get the chance. Too far for me to go, plus I’m too old and decrepit. Enjoy yourself Kong.
Cheers, bro.
Geezer! 😉

Rows 18-22
Seats 21-28 (plus 2 more tagged on the end of 2 rows).
323 is the flip side (opposite corner) of what we had last year on the visitor’s side, but our rows are like 5-6 rows further down. And the 8X4 square on the aisle is nice.
$85 each.
That’s 36 tickets and Boulder just wanted two more. Could be a very large Fest.
I guess I could trout fish in Gatlinburg, but it is not as good. The Indian Reservation restocks their waters every month with thousands of pounds of trout. Not sure what their plan is for this fiscal year, but the year before they stocked their waters with over 200,000 pounds of trout. You don’t even have to get a NC fishing license as long as you fish the tribal waters. You just get a reservation permit. I get the $27 three-day permit.

That sounds incredible. Hope you guys know means have to there early when the gates first open, by 10. We can guide you to where we set up.

Yep, he’s psyched and so am I. We can coordinate…..work on details, food, Chef, timing, etc. later. Just didn’t want to step on toes and wanted to check with you first. Thank you, stangerx!
So should we plan for 36? Holy shit!!! Awesome.
And a bigger grill? LMAO!
Yeah, I think you’re going to need a bigger grill
Based on past history it will be less than that. I drop tickets from the reservation number every year before final payment is due. This year that is late August. Still a big number though.
I just checked with him on the 36 and he told me,
“?? Dude you have no clue. Just sit back sip your little Panzy waters and watch how you do a tailgate”
Lmfao!!! So there you go!
I’ll be attending regularly soon, retire next summer, in process of buying Vero Beach lot (next Friday it closes)
Vero beach is nice
are you building on the lot?
Yes
Sounds like the bet on Wall Street is that Musk will not buy twitter. Twitter closed at $38.32 on Tuesday, almost 30% lower than Musk’s offer at $54.20 per share.
“He has some talent. He has some speed. Now, we’ve just got to get him up to speed and hopefully be able to get him in some games and hopefully those things can come out and show.”
— Sam Madison on Iggy in a less than full-hearted endorsement.
What was it about the guy that Grier saw and loved enough to give up a #1 pick for the guy?
X 2.0, as in interception machine, since he used to be a WR
He’s just a slow learner, came on slow in college top
Think Sam and Pat will get his potential out of him
Athleticism and upside. It appears now that he was a reach and maybe worse. We’ll see.
I find medieval music to be quite enchanting. That said, I came across this today: 90s Hip Hop but it’s MEDIEVAL. Really nice! I think Tim and BB Mike — in particular — would really dig this!
Music is universal, it’s just a matter of how it’s played and by what instruments. You can skip from track to track, just be sure to listen to the West Coast (REAL MUSIC) versions. Enjoy!
“Nuthin’ But A G-thang” feels as though the King and Queen are arriving in short order. Roll out the red carpet for their return to the castle.
“Regulate” sounds like a dramatic and romantic scene where the future princess is dancing with the Prince. A courtship, if you will.
Bookman come to the Fest bro 👍🐬🐧🐆☃️🐽
I wish Randy would show up in his Fran Tarkenton jersey carrying a bucket
He’d probably actually have a Mick Tingelhoff jersey

Yessir, and that matches my projections from a couple of days ago. It’s UNBELIEVABLE that we still $17M to spend, if we so wish.
That means if an unsuspecting stud falls off a tree for whatever reason (likely for cap reasons), we can land him.
We’ve never been in such a stellar situation over the last 20 years, plus we’ve got two 1st rounders, a 2nd rounder, and two 3rd rounders in the Draft next year. NICE!!!
And, if we find Michael Deiter not up to par, we can STILL land JC Tretter if need be.
The HOPE would be that we don’t need to sign JC Tretter (or anybody else) and have the ability to rollover an additional $10M to next year’s cap.
We already did basically (regarding Deiter not up to par), Deiter is backup good so worthwhile but Williams will start because Deiter won’t win a Guard spot either. I could be wrong and Deiter starts and he’s solid or even really good but I don’t think it goes that way. To me it seems like Williams at C.
Steve, wow Vero and retired that’s awesome man
In July I’ll be meeting with the builder to pick all the options
My suggestion
The 14th is Friday Cav you’ll be there for Dog Beach 🦮🎸🥃🍺💨🐽
Oh sweet, is that the beach right outside of Margaritaville? We’re flying in late afternoon, so that’ll give us time to get settled in, then go get some provisions and chill on the beach
That beach and yeah after dinner

I will say, Williams could be a KILLER Center, IMO. But then, who becomes our LG, I wonder?
I’m not too concerned about who plays where on the OL. As long as they play well together is all that matters. Give our skill players a chance to make plays and score points. That’s the name of the game.
Agreed! Just wondering who might man the LG position should Williams nail the C spot. I’m not too concerned, either. Best 5!
Eichenberg will start somewhere, my not so bold prediction
+1000000000, Son.
I have absolute confidence that Eich will be manning one of our starting O-Line positions.
Yeah I hear ya. Like Son said it could be Eichenberg at LG if Jackson can lock down RT which is what I think the team wants.

Orange jersey for Tua.

Tua looks good in 🍊
Yep, it’s the skin….lol
It seems like we’re throwing a lot of deep balls which could be a staple off play-action. Get that running game going and set up the big play opportunities.
Practice and timing…that’s a good thing
Yeah exactly! Get to know the speed of the WRs.
Super pumped for the Fest. We’re gonna need a bigger bus!
Not sure a bunch of running plays at this point has a lot of value. I’m not minimizing the run game, just thinking through the priorities and what’s the best use of this time together.
The RBs are doing their drills but it’s not really a physical environment right now.
If any team thinks they’re going to stack the box and play the run against us will pay a dear price. The better we run the more they have to play the run and then when they do we strike with 22mph speed on either side of the field.
Yeah I don’t see how teams are going to be able to do that on a regular basis. Too much speed to make them pay.
They have to teach the knuckleheads up front where to go this is very valuable time
It’s all scheme and technique now.
Everyone has a lot to learn….imo, I think teaching was an afterthought last year.
Teaching and before that was communication maybe the job was too big for Flores it does end up looking that way. It’s a hard job.
His biggest mistake to me was he never built an identity on offense. He changed it every year.

I’m wondering if we’ll even see much RPO or at all in this new offense. Mainly because I expect more under center. I guess when we’re in 11 personnel and in shotgun it could still be an option because Tua runs it well. We’re definitely not going to see it as much as last year which was basically 90% of the time.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FTEX0bOXoAAhGQx?format=jpg&name=900×900
This I think is Brandon Jones and Jevon Holland.
Yes
about those RBs:

Who is that?
not sure why my pix don’t load.
This is Chase Edmunds I think.
Notice even the RBs are practicing catching the football.
That dude is ripped.
I think it is so cool that Tyreek Hill uses a pic of HC McDaniel as his profile pic to show off the coach’s stylin’ fit.
His way already of telling Coach he’s open
Tyreek is the real 7-11.
With a car wash
Tua got to wear the orange jersey, meaning he was the best practice player the day before.
Jaelan Phillips wore it the day before.
They also get to pick the music.
Tua’s selections did not include Fo Rida.
Here were his playlist: Kodak, Thugger, Fiji, Shania Twain and George Strait.
Thanks I didn’t realize the significance. Way to go Tua.
Seeing him in 🍊 makes me want to see us wear them again.
We should go white tops and 🍊pants in Cincy.
We have good receiving backs so we should expect a lot of passes to the RBs to mix in with the ground game. A lot of stretching the field laterally gets the defense spaced out and that’s when you’ll have opportunities vertically.

Out of all NFL quarterbacks, Tua Tagovailoa’s bad throw% was 16.3%. That’s the 10th best in the NFL of least bad throws. (not completion%, 7th best in that). That means that Tua haters are only picking from 16.3% of his plays to try to prove their point. (83.7% good to 16.3% bad)
The people who criticize and scrutinize him the most do not take the entire situation on offense into account. Never ending changes, poor OL play and not the most explosive skill players. Our longest rushing TD was 24 yards by Malcolm Brown. Our longest TD pass was 64 yards to Mack Hollins. We didn’t have any others over 40 yards.
A friend just sent this to me: Totally crazy!!!!
Have a history teacher explain this if they can.
Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost a child while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.
Now it gets really weird.
Lincoln’s secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy’s Secretary was named Lincoln.
Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.
John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.
Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
Now hang on to your seat.
Lincoln was shot at the theater named “Ford.”
Kennedy was shot in a car called “Lincoln” made by “Ford.”
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And here’s the “kicker”:
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.
AND……………….:
Lincoln was shot in a theater and the assassin ran to a warehouse…
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and the assassin ran to a theater…
I saw this had to share just in case anyone did not know.
Most interesting… and something that many would consider to be conspiratorial.
That would be pretty hard to put together and very sinister.
Lol….the Universe has such a sense of humor…
I’ve seen that before. Pretty wild.
It’s ALL OVER IN SUNRISE!! – – The underdog Tampa Bay Lightning have come into Sunrise and hung ANOTHER UPSET VICTORY OVER THE HOMESTANDING FLORIDA PANTHERS, this time on a winning goal by Ross Coulton off of an amazing feed by Nikita Kucherov with just 3.8 seconds left in the final period!!! The TBL’s 2-1 victory puts them up 2-0 in this best of 7 series that now heads back to Amalie Arena in Tampa for games 3 and 4. To put it mildly, this is absolutely NOT what most hockey experts were expecting!!!
—————
ONCE,AGAIN, The Panther’s inability to score a single goal in the playoffs on the power play was a key aspect of their defeat. Another key factor was goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy’s truly outstanding performance, especially in CRUNCH TIME when the Lightning were down a man due to a penalty. The Panther’s were the top goal scoring team in the Eastern Conference during the regular season. But they’ve come up empty when it counts the most during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Lightning, playing without their top goal scorer in the playoffs over the last four seasons (Brayden Point) have found the right match-ups during this series to thwart the Panthers formidable offense. Kudos to Tampa Bay head coach Jon Cooper for coming up with the pairings and match-ups that work to his team’s advantage. There’s NO DOUBT that the Panthers have been out coached in this series!!
————–
The dream of a LIGHTNING 3-PEAT is till very much alive!!!
“STILL” very much alive!
This is just 2020 highlights. Underrated Edge playmaker and STs stalwart.
DC Josh Boyer has said he sees the defense from a secondary standpoint. From the back end in. He’s got a really talented group to run the Cover 0, Cover 3 and some mixed in zone with X, Byron, Needam, Holland, Brandon and Rowe along with our LBs. He knows he has pressure players up front. Being able to challenge routes while that’s happening is a big deal.
I don’t know, I feel like our defense is becoming complete. While everyone is focused on Tua, Hill, Waddle etc. what about the defense? This group has top 5-10 ability.
With Ingram and Tindall I agree, but they still have to execute the scheme as a unit to be great, one player screws up a play and it may expose them
The whole is greater than the sum of their parts
We know how great they can be, but they have to be firing on all cylinders, they’ve been exposed plenty, when not, that’s why Boyer is so important and why some of us aren’t sure he’s100% capable
When I said, I was more concerned with Boyer, than Tua it was more of an I’m not concerned about Tua at all, than a knock on Boyer
The NFL is so O friendly, that any D has to be on its toes at all times
I can just see a bunch of guys in hooded robes sitting around a table yelling at each other: “No,no, no, his name has too many letters, we need an assassin with 15 letters in his name damn it!”
LMAO!!! Honestly, the stuff in that Lincoln/Kennedy post is nuts. No conspiracy whatsoever, but the coincidences are mind boggling. Also, there is potential that not only was Kennedy “with” Marilyn Monroe a week before he was shot, that he was “in” Marilyn Monroe, which would make it even more crazy. lol
Was going to post that, thought maybe this was the under 18 version
It’s pretty wild and just goes to show how crazy coincidence can get, lol.
It’s a very big coincidence. 😉
I’m gonna commit Stanger. Still unsure but reserve me two tix and if I can’t make it I’m good for the $
Payment in beer 🍺 😃
Punctuation is important
What has Stanger done to make you want to do that?
😂
Jahn — reserved the seats two days ago so you ain’t on the hook for anything. Folks tend to drop out and you can grab those or can get on stubhub, either prime ones like youtalked about before or near where we are. Forgot to say…… Awesome.
Good luck to your Lightning OD! You know I’m a hockey guy but my Sharks are not in it and my Warriors are bringing me joy!
Celtics looked good tonight. That could be a good series…
Woohoo, Blues!!
Jahn – Beer down and make it happen! If you have to work lager hours the week before and after, make it happen. Don’t be lazy eye would be very disappointed. Since you haven’t been at a Fest in so long it would mspecially disappointing that you don’t come and would be great land special if you did. Don’t give me any saisony responses back either! Just make it!
Lol, well done
Thanks
The Miami Dolphins held three first-round draft picks in 2020, using the first to select quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the second to add offensive lineman Austin Jackson, and the third to pick cornerback Noah Igbinoghene…
We know how much better the first 3 picks last year have been, so Grier is seen in a different light these days
What most people don’t seem to realize is the position in need and drafted
In general QB, LT and CB are the hardest 3 positions to get acclimated to in the NFL, so doesn’t it make sense, that these 3 we drafted in 2020 are taking longer, than the 3 in 2021, to get acclimated?
Sure some guys get it done quicker, but overall or in general it takes more time
What I’m getting at is none of them may be busts or all, we won’t know until after this year
Every offseason we look at our roster and think this is the year, as if everything is about the roster and it is important, but on field play is just as important
Why didn’t Tampa win again last year with the same team, or KC before that?
Our roster and coaching staff are good enough to win the SB, we just have to put it together on the field
Jahndoh,
Just make sure you’re in the right tent before you announce that you’re in the house this time.
Kong – Did that Alonso rocket whiz by Cali yet? Just wondering . . .
Sorry, I don’t know what you’re referencing, lol.
Nor trying to be funny, just saying they all seemed to have enjoyed themselves
NFLers and Special Olympics seem to be a good match, in that both get over animated with things, that shouldn’t garner as much
Nice to see those kids get to do that
Mike who are the lovers of the fantasy books on here?
Kong raises hand
Rockphin adds his name to the list
ok so that was so cool the way you did that Mike E in welcoming/warning Jahn.
Anyway, I did go ahead and book my wife and me into Margaritaville, since it’s practically like our family theme song, so I look forward to seeing all the Fest regs and meeting several men I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting before.
We’ll be arriving Friday afternoon ready to party.
Go Dolphins.
We booked there as well, so Mrs Kong and I will see ya there, Naples.
Mrs. Naples had a blast the last 2 times she went to the fest, but we stayed too far from Hollywood the second time, so we’re happy to be back where the action is.
Lmao @ Mike E.
I’m picking up what you’re putting down brother!
😛 (teeferless!)
whew that’s an exciting set of pix cut together there. Savoring these OTAs, but def wishing the 2022 season were sooner.
Our team and coaches do need time to learn each other though, lots of new faces that all need to get in synch. Fortunately, it helps that Grier brought in almost all guys who fit the prototype that Coach McDaniel detailed for him at each position, at least on offense.
CK… My wife is currently reading 3 series of fantasy books. I think the authors are Jim Butcher of “The Dresden Files” I think. Second one is Benedict Jacka, I don’t know his series but she loves him. Also an Ozzie writer called Michael or Matthew Reilly he has written about 20 books. Hope that helps you.
Cool, Uwant. None of those names sound familiar to me, I’ll have to check them out. Thanks 🙂
Naples, Kong – We’ll see ya at Margaritaville! We’ll be there from Tuesday and then leaving Monday after the game. Ready to party!!
Nice! Looking forward to meeting you, bro.
Uwant – I’d say Kong, Rock and Phelon are the premier members of the sci-fi/fantasy genres. There are others such as myself, but these guys are tops.
Alain Poupart took on the Q of who is the fastest Phin and this to offer.

Based on those NextGen Stats, the Dolphins roster features the two players who have produced the four highest regular season mph figures over the past six regular seasons, Hill and Mostert.
Hill has the highest mph on record at 23.24, which happened on a kickoff return for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Houston Texans in Week 2 of the 2016 season. Mostert is the only other clocking exceeding 23 mph, with a 23.09 on an 80-yard touchdown for the 49ers in Week 2 of the 2020 season. Then it’s Hill with a 22.77 in 2016 and Mostert again with a 22.73, again in 2020.
As for Waddle, he had the seventh-highest mph in the NFL last year, according to NextGen Stats, with a 21.78 on his 57-yard reception against the Carolina Panthers at Hard Rock Stadium.

My money is on the Cheetah
Factoid of the Day:
“Larry King was the color commentator on Dolphins broadcasts for WIOD from 1969-71 and again in 1977.”
Larry King’s son went to my HS, he was in my brother’s drama class
Guess with Larry King the Q would be from which Mom? Wasn’t he married like 7 times.
Yeah
Steve, I expect the defense to be more on the same page this year due to them having quality playing time together. There are more players with experience in the system now than when it was being built. That should help the new additions and 2nd year players. I expect less breakdowns.
Yes, but the guy calling the plays is huge, because without the amoeba were just an average D
It’s not as straight up as the O, where we know Armstead/Hill/Williams are major upgrades, so that alone makes them much better
Think where we’re at a disconnect is we just need the O to be somewhat better, but the D needs to be top shelf, like they were the 2nd half of the last 3 years
Jones and Holland at Safety are further along now too. The overall familiarity between the coaches and players is a big deal. Hopefully we have established a system and culture on defense for years to come like the Steelers and Ravens have been doing.
Well I see another huge Saharan dust cloud is headed to Florida. Realtors down here be lining up to sell building lots on that, soon as they find out where it landed.
Makes for brilliant sunets, especially on your coast. But FLA is so flat I get them too.
yes please refer to my avatar to see the effect you are referencing.
“so flat”
Stanger I think the top of your building might be higher than the highest natural point in Florida, which is actually barely even IN Florida, only about a mile or two from Alabama over in the panhandle west of Tallahassee where the last tail of the Appalachian mountains descends into the Gulf of Mexico.
It’s so flat down here that the highest land point in many counties is an interstate overpass.
Yep — our building goes 39 stories. No natural element in South Florida at least even comes close. And we have 270 degree views. On the 4th of July I have walked around and seen like 28 fireworks displays going off…. some like 30+ miles away.
He’s a character. He’s also built like a RB.
One of the most under-rated aspects of ‘Reek Da Cheetah’? His VJ. He registered a 40.5″ VJ during his Pro Day at West Alabama, and he’s all of 5’10”. You can certainly see it on display in his game: cat gets AIR like Jordan!
Good video showing how he came to prominence in the NFL…
It’s no gimmick campaign that he’s one of the fastest human beings on the planet, either.
Good stuff! I also noticed something in these highlights. Hill was often under thrown and still caught it and scored on many of them. Nothing against Mahomes, he can throw it with the best, but he didn’t make Hill, Hill helped make him because he also did it with Alex Smith. So everyone slow your roll about things that aren’t true. 🙂
One thing that is true is that Hill has been in the playoffs every year he’s been in the league.
Thanks, man. And I concur with ya 100% on those under-thrown passes in KC: the Cheetah made it happen all too often, not just the QB.
I don’t know why I was not aware of this until he signed with us, but I was not prepared for how thick and bulky Tyreek is in his neck, shoulders, and upper torso. He looks like he could be a battering ram going at those mostly wiry CBs. Most of them will not be able to tackle him if they go high like the rules are now, at least not all by themselves.
Not that I want him taking too many shots to the head, but him having that much solid body mass up top should help him take some hits going across the middle and pop right back up. I hope.
He’s been doing it for 6 seasons.
but I thought of him as more slim like Waddle
I notice that in the video above, Hill is playing with various QBs, not just Mahomes.
Maybe even Tua can get him the ball if Chad Henne and Alex Smith and Matt Moore can.
Also, #87 is running downfield blocking on several plays, not to mention an array of other WRs getting in the way of any DB coming across to try to get an angle on Hill during the run.
We have the WRs who can do this, and Gesicki is also fast enough to get down there and get in the line of pursuit as well.
I think it’s going to be fun to watch.
He’s the superest of super stars we’ve had on our team since I don’t know when…
I will be a lot of fun
Yessir, it’s going to be VERY fun to watch!

He’s a character. He’s also built like a RB.
—————
When watching him run in Barcelona and seeing his appearance on the podium, I thought the exact same thing: he’s bloody BUILT. We don’t think of Olympic sprinters being so massive from the waist up. Cheetah truly is a freak of nature.
just love how Waddle screams praise into Tua’s ear.
Even though he was open,
when he saw the scramble drill,
Waddle became a blocker.
Then he was happy for Tua.
not a diva move at all

He’s also made the Pro Bowl every single year he’s been in the NFL.

AND 3x All Pro.
Wow he’s pretty spectacular
I didn’t realize either of those things. Niiice
Tyreek Hill reminds me of Mark Duper. The video quality is not very good but it is what it is. There are two parts for all of Duper’s 64 TDs.
I do see the speed comparisons, but ‘Reek (IMO) is on a whole ‘nother level in terms of freak athlete… and that’s only natural (or UN-natural 😉 ) with the progress made in training, preventive maintenance, sports nutrition, etc, over the last 40 years.
That said, Mark Duper will forever be one of my favorites!
Right different eras but man are they similar.
Weak armed Marino underthrows him on the first throw, lol.
Duper is credited with a 4.28 40. Wow that is even faster than Tyreek, right?
No Hill ran a 4.21 at his pro day.
omg ur kiddin’ me.
Best I could find was a 4.29.
So I was being sarcastic above, meaning they BOTH are blazing fast.
That 4.21 was hand-timed. Meaning, human error could have played a factor.
Hill is the modern day Duper. Both built the same way with thick bodies and super fast. Waddle is faster than Clayton was but Clayton was fast enough and very savvy. It looks like we might have a combo like that again. 🙂
And that stated as well, Duper’s 4.28 was also hand-timed. Today, everything is digitally tracked to remove human error.
But he was only 5’9 185.
He lasted 11 seasons.
This vibe just has to help psychologically when crunch time comes.

Everybody within earshot is smiling.
Except the guy right over to his right shoulder. LOL
That’s a very good picture.
Chase and Tyreek are BOTH ripped.

I have NEVER seen veins coming from the thighs as this picture shows. WOW!
Sidenote: I do NOT like his “THUG LIFE” tat on the abdomen. That’s reserved for only one man, and his name is Tupac Shakur. Love him or hate him, 2Pac was a revolutionary figure… NOT something I want out of a high-priced football player, if ya knowhatImsayin.

And THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
Duper was also a track star.
Yup! I know this, man.
Wait you guys all completely forgot that we had this already last year.
Just think, when Hill loses a step, he will still be running in the 4.3’s. lol
Starting off Friday Night Tunes.
I love these guys
So cool to watch.
Still my favorite 2 cellos video, lol
Rock
I enlarged that pic up above of Coach keeping everybody loose,
and I still don’t see anything but happy faces.
(slides Kool-aid laced with mezcal over to Rock)
Here, man, stay hydrated.
This guy is like a combo of Randy Travis and Brad Paisley.
Very nice!
This came out the year I got married.
After I booked the hotel, the next day the song “Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes” kept going through my head. You’ll dig the Jimmy Buffet vibe there at Margaritaville for sure!
Omg, I hate jimmy buffet. It didnt even ocurr to me with the name of the hotel. Is it like a jimmy buffet themed resort?
Completely Buffett themed he owns it
Ugh, lol. Cheese burger in paradise playing in the elevator…can’t do it; I’m climbing the outside of the building…
I dig the laid back hippy beach vibe, it’s just the music I cant stand
They actually play it all over the hotel – at the pool, at the bar, in the restaurants
They name their cheeseburgers: cheeseburger in paradise on their menu
All kinds of stuff like that
But it’s still the best place to stay, you;l just have to ignore all references
Lmao, my wife is going to give me so much shit
I guess it’s not completely over the top but I would sure would like to see a big ape freak out as he washes down his cheeseburger in paradise with a who’s to blame 🍹
Lol

lol
I’m bummed you aren’t making it to the fest this year. I’d really like to meet you and I’m not sure the wife and I will make this trip very often.
And I took note of the Tool song you posted a couple weeks ago. Tool is my wife’s favorite band (basically the antithesis of Jimmy Buffet, lmao). As a matter of fact, we’re putting off our Arizona trip to Caduceus Cellars (owned by Maynard of Tool) this year to go to Miami instead.
Wait what 🐽🤷♂️
Piggs I thought you were in
I didn’t see him on Stang’s list, but maybe I’m making an incorrect assumption…
He’s on the list.
My bad — he was not on the list, which means didn’t say was IN.
Piggy better fucking be in! WTF???
LMAO @ Kong!! It’s like hating Elvis and going to Graceland. lol
LOL, now I’m glad we’re only staying 3 nights…
We’re going to check in, then immediately check out and get some motel 6 in the middle of town…
They won’t need to send planes to shoot me off the building, I’ll jump on my own…
The entire broadwalk is lined with Hotels Margaritaville is just the big giant fancy one.
We will keep a spot open poolside at La Quinta for ya 🤡
And yes “Broadwalk” God forbid you call it a boardwalk when you’re there
All in good fun, Son. When we travel, we like to stay in nice, fancy hotels, and when I was looking it up, it definitely fit the bill. We can always wear earplugs in the elevator if necessary 😂
Cheers, Toba 🙂
You guys know if you’re also doing the Niners game yet?
We are 99% yes … no hotels or tix booked yet … waiting to talk to our friends that are coming to fest with us if they are going to CA as well
I’m probably NOT in
That might change last minute but we will see
Sorry guys i have a lot of things to juggle lately
🖕
With love of course
Bummer. Assuming by last minute you mean after late august (final payment). I’ll switch you to a possible, but means no confirmed seat in the group section (but people drop out and there is always stubhub).
Friday night “I’m gonna jump out a window”
I actually saw Jimmy Buffett live when I was in high school at Miami Arena with a huge group of friends
It was a fun time
But I absolutely hate his music too
Kong – To be fair, it definitely gives the place a very “vacationey” laid back vibe. I don’t love the music, but I definitely don’t hate it either. Usually by the end of the vacation I start getting tired of it.
Piggy – C’mon man, make it happen!
We will see if I can
For now you will just have to accept my musical selections
