I’m looking to read some articles and revel in our win, and 95% of the shyte out there is about the damned NFLPA reviewing the Tua injury protocol, SMH.
Steve,
I just did the math on Tua and Lamar and I have Tua at 117.4 and Lamar at 117.1
I did a basic average, so the only thing I can think of is there is some sort of scaling of the rating based on # of attempts, etc. or there are some partial data points that don’t get counted each game that account for an additional 6 points in the aggregate. Otherwise I can’t figure how they have Lamar at 119.
I don’t know the formula, but if it’s simply stats based I’m not sure why a straight average wouldn’t work- unless it’s based on groups of stats.
I.e. if you get the same score for 1 thru 10 passing yards, then you have aggregates different than individual scores. That is really the only way I can account for the discrepancy.
I get it now. I just looked up the formula (didn’t know it was available), they introduce other elements subtracting and multiplying random numbers, so there is a sort of scaling based on number of attempts which is why straight average won’t work.
SF getting a little too cute at the end of the half, it almost cost them
1st down backed up in their end about a minute to go they throw incomplete (Denver 1 TO), 2nd down threw for 3 yards, Denver injury and had to call their last TO, but if it was an SF injury they would’ve had to call a TO and if they didn’t get a 1st on 3rd down Denver would’ve gotten the ball back around their 40 with 45 seconds left
Tagovailoa left the contest after hitting the ground hard late in the first half, and the team announced at halftime he was questionable to return with a head injury. He completed an 8-yard pass to Jaylen Waddle after scrambling out of the pocket, and Bills linebacker Matt Milano pushed him following the throw. The quarterback stumbled backward and hit his head on the ground when he landed; Milano was flagged for roughing the passer.<<< BULLSHIT
If not, I think we’ll see Skyler against the Bengals. They’ll probably start Bridgewater, but Skyler will come in in the 2nd or 3rd after the offense stalls with Teddy.
Our D really has given up a lot of yards against the Ravens and Bills, but played great at key moments. Sure have been some great team wins so far, what does that say going forward?
We can play with anyone? Tua has arrived? The D is money in the clutch? Waddle is happy Tyreek takes the double off of him? Can we play the same way after a quick turnaround?
Sometimes it seems like such a struggle on D, and we’re one play away from bust, then at other times it feels like we have a guardian angel looking after us
Not sure what to think about playing the Bengals on Thursday, would’ve felt better, if the game was on Sunday
What’s the status of our OL between Hunt and Little, did they finish the game?
On the highlights the announcer screams, oh he’s got Waddle, just as the ball was released, Waddle was open, but not wide open, he made it sound like he had 100% faith in Tua to get the ball where it needed to be, last week 4th qtr was the same thing with Hill

“the only reason it was a close game is because
Miami played without their starting CB, RT, and NT.”
even though they made excuses for the Bills for their injuries.
I keep seeing the Tua haters, and even those old men on the half time shows,
talk about Tua’s low passing output.
uhhh
Check my math, but Allen threw 400 yards on 63 attempts.
That’s 6.4 YPA.
Tua threw for “only” 186 yards on 18 attempts.
I think that might be 10.3 YPA, right?
I mean sure, Tua didn’t even throw for 200 and Allen threw for 400.
Seems like twice as good right?
But if you count sacks and stuff, Allen had almost twice as many pass plays as the Dolphins had total plays on offense, yet we got more TDs than they did.
The Bills had more than twice as much TOP and ran more than twice as many plays,
yet they didn’t get a single TD in the entire 2nd half!
Watching replay again lower back is what hit ground first
When he was running off the field the jolt seemed to come from his waist area, then when straightening up he didn’t reach for his head, he adjusted his helmet
Road Thursday night games can be a huge disadvantage, didn’t seem to bother the Chargers against the Chiefs, even though they lost, but even so they’re tough
Buffalo was already being crowned after 2 weeks, but couldn’t overcome their disadvantage game against us
Before the season started I had this game against the Bengals as our biggest disadvantage game on the schedule, feel better about it now and isn’t a no win game any longer, but it won’t be easy
Robert Hunt (94.3 overall), Jaylen Waddle (90.7 overall) and Jevon Holland (90.1 overall) were the elite performances for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday according to @PFF_RyanSmith
I’ll say exactly what I said at the start of the offseason. If he plays exactly like he did last year but out other flaws are fixed – we are a playoff team
I really think yesterday’s game puts that in perspective
He didn’t pass for big yardage but made clutch throws
He’s been making clutch throws for 3 years now
Our OL protected him and our playcalling is in a different stratosphere this year than last year
Tua didn’t have as many yards as Allen because we didn’t have the ball long enough. If TOP was even we probably would have an edge in passing yards based on YPA of 10.3 v 6.4
Exactly, I pointed out yesterday. We had 3 normal offensive possessions each half. That’s not an exaggeration or manipulating of anything, that’s just the truth.
4 possessions each half, but one of our possessions in the 1st half was after the turnover, so we started at the Bills 6 or 7, not going to get much yardage there. And 4 possessions in the 2nd half, one of which was that last possession on the goalline.
So with 6 possessions we scored 3 TDs. The Bills had 9 total possession, two of which were at the end of halves, so you could say 7 possessions. And they drove the ball down each time except for the TO.
We had a couple of 3 and outs, they drove it each time except for the TO, but failed in the redzone and missed a fg.
No NFL team in week 3 had less Time Of Possession then the Dolphins offense (19:20). Yet Miami finished with more points then 15 of the 30 teams that played this week.
I also Believe if Tua didn’t get hurt at end of first half we may have had another score because Tua was moving the ball. We were at midfield when Tua went out
Yeah but Hyde was out and so were other DBs, and the humidity at this exact moment made a CB slip, and Miller might have been held…🤪 any way you slice it we still won and Tua was fantastic
We were totally moving the ball when Tua got hurt. I was thinking g we would score and then get the ball back after the half
And we were robbed of that – that was a critical time to get hurt. I’m glad we got past that. But end of the half and beginning of the 3rd qtr when you get the ball back after half is an important time
Dolphins report for #Tnf • Dline can generate decent pressure Oline needs to be ⬆️ •Get at them in the intermediate/deep passing attack •Match they’re use of motions •Get Mixon going up the middle •Keep moving Ja’marr from Outwide/Slot/Backfield#RuleTheJungle#FinsUp

We said before the season, if the OL can just be average…
Well they’ve exceeded our expectations and look at the team results
It’s still a team game, so when the team benefits from the OL, the OL also benefits from the team, meaning they make each other better, the whole is greater than…
The oline play is the biggest eye opener to how inept our coaches were last year. We added a couple of quality guys in Williams and Armstead, but the other guys are holding their own as well. That Bills front 7 is GOOD even without Oliver and Phillips.
If Tua haters want to say they still don’t believe he’s a top 5 QB, I get that. You want to say, he’s not in the upper echelon, ok, I get that. You think he’s playing above his level and/ or getting some breaks right now, ok.
But to continue on as if he isn’t shown he’s a quality NFL QB that can make plays is just trash. This isn’t Blake Bortles getting carried by a good defense and running game. Tua is moving this offense with the passing game.
Key to the game is the D needs to be relentless going after Burrow, they have to put pressure on him and not give up on a play, especially the pass rushers
Buffalo D is a nightmare matchup for the sloooow twitch Teddy, so I don’t expect him to be as bad, if he has to play going forward, but I still don’t want any part of him on the team
He likely got it worked on at the half, maybe even a shot, so I’m not real worried they can’t fix him up again
First time I tweaked my back I laid on the ground for 30 minutes before I could get up and crawl into the truck, the next day I went to the chiropractor, they ran this hand held machine across my back and I was fine, but once you get that scar tissue the next time isn’t so easy to recover from
Last time we were 3-0 we beat a bad jets and Raiders team and a so so Titans team, then got blown out by cheats in week 4
Probably didn’t feel like it back then either, but it feels different this time between Tua, Tyreek and Waddle we have 3 superstars that put fear in our opponent
I don’t think the cheats feared us too much in 2018
thing is
we have these little cameo stars all over the roster …
teams never know when a Kohou or a Cracraft is gonna beat you.
Or a strip sack by some unknown like Brandon Jones or Zach Sieler.
Plus we now have real actual recognizable stars such as X, Reek, Terron, Waddle, and Ingram. And a punter and PK who can boom the ball. All of those are pro-bowlers.
Add in a half dozen first rounders and some other rising young stars, most notably Jevon, and suddenly, teams can’t gameplan us out of our main 2-3 dawgs.
ok
Can we get a little cocky for awhile? We’re the Wiz, I’m the Wiz… and nobody beats me!!!
Raiders started 3-0 last year and road it to a playoff berth, but nothing more
Damn you!!! We just beat the Bills for the first time in 4 seasons!!! LOL
I can hear the cocky ass Bama fans now!
I’m looking to read some articles and revel in our win, and 95% of the shyte out there is about the damned NFLPA reviewing the Tua injury protocol, SMH.

98.4+142.6+110.3=351.3
104.4+124.1+123.8=352.3
Certainly you can’t do a straight average, I’d tried going by attempts compared to their other games
If you had 20 attempts game 1, 2 and 3 a straight average should work, otherwise divide rating by attempts
I get it now. I just looked up the formula (didn’t know it was available), they introduce other elements subtracting and multiplying random numbers, so there is a sort of scaling based on number of attempts which is why straight average won’t work.

Agree
Couldn’t think of 2 better guys to respond to, switched over to VGK vs Colorado, so missed it
Oh cool, I didn’t realize preseason started
Yep yesterday.. jets were playing earlier .. didn’t catch much of it

I’m surprised Garropolo didn’t break in half on that one.
Seems like SF misses McDaniel on offense
So you think they’ll take another draft pick from us for fudging the protocol?

This Denver offense looks as inept as our offense last year
Now it’s 11-10 Denver.
Man, you can’t take that sack there
Game over denver wins
What a glorious football day
Wow that was fugly
Tua’s whole midsection was wrapped in his press conference. Hope he’s ok to go this week.
If not, I think we’ll see Skyler against the Bengals. They’ll probably start Bridgewater, but Skyler will come in in the 2nd or 3rd after the offense stalls with Teddy.
Easy to see why 49ers tried to run Garo Polo out of town

Watching the 4th qtr highlights both Hunt and Little are in the game, so I guess nothing to see there with injuries, that is comforting

Yeah, but we’ve exhausted all of our excuses on Tua the last 2 years
3rd and 10 48 yard TD pass to Hill
3rd and 7 60 yard TD pass to Hii
3rd and 22 45 yard pass to Waddle first and goal
That’ll getter done
In addition to the 4th down play to Waddle, end of 2nd, against the cheats
When Tony Dungy says something right up front, about Bills injuries, when talking about our win I can only think there’s some kind of agenda
I mean he’s the Vin Scully of the NFL media, if he’s not fair and honest, then who
I keep seeing the Tua haters, and even those old men on the half time shows,

Ok so now it’s time for us to turn our attention to the Bengals.
How do we beat them?
Tua and concussion protocol
An independent dr has to clear Tua before he can go back in, if true why is this still an issue?
I’ve had back issues, and I can tell you it can definitely drop your ass, just like we saw with Tua
The hit doesn’t even look bad, yeah hisbhead hit the ground, but not violently
Watching replay again lower back is what hit ground first
When he was running off the field the jolt seemed to come from his waist area, then when straightening up he didn’t reach for his head, he adjusted his helmet
I hope he’s ok for Thursday, then he’ll get to rest it for 10 days.
btw
not sure if this is official,
but the Dolphins website lists Cracraft on the 53.
3 times called up = on 53 or cut, he can’t return to PS
He has earned his spot
Based off that slack-ass work last night, I’d move Bridgewater down the depth chart.
He almost cost us the game with that lame throw out to the flat.
That could’ve been a pick 6.
Off the depth chart, and off the team
If we can get a lead on jets I’d put Skylar in to confirm he’s the real deal, then make arrangements on Betty
Hussle and BOOM!

Ok so now it’s time for us to turn our attention to the Bengals.
How do we beat them?
———————
Sack Burrow early and often. Cincy OL is trash
He can be a huge problem, if not sacked early and often, because he holds the ball for so long
Being a short turnaround, we need to be able to match them physically
Bengals are Jekyll and Hyde at its finest, allow Burrow to sit back there forever and he’ll kill you, put pressure on him and he can wilt
I think we can generate enough pressure to get the job done
Boyer doesn’t have his head up his ass like a former Fins employee, he does what’s necessary to get job done
Cover-0 even caused Allen to hit his hot reads yesterday on several occasions
As many have already said, I can’t stress enough the addition of Ingram
Tyreek has a beef with Eli road-apple, dated back to the playoffs last year
If I were the roadmeister I think I’d keep my trap shut
Victory Monday is distracting. Cannot work effectively
Losing Mondays are depressing. Cannot work effectively
If only we can tie each week
0-0-17
Weeeeeeee
Jason still a fan!
Ruh roh
That didn’t age well
This douche still has his head so far up belicheats ass…
This is a nice montage of almost big defensive plays from Yesterday
We’ve been so close to making huge defensive plays
Hopefully we can make a few happen this Thursday
And we haven’t needed any of those missed opportunities
When we start getting them we’ll start blowing teams out
Buffalo played like they were afraid of us yesterday, instead of the other way around
When that reputation starts to proceed us, we’ll start making more of the big plays on D
Eli is on notice
This is what I was responding to above
That’s funny!
LOL 😂
There is something so amazingly human about that moment. I hate to admit it, but I’m a big fan of Josh Allen even though I hate him, lol.
Tua is humble and humbling, so much so that he made Allen wilt
Totally get that Cav I feel the same way
Road Thursday night games can be a huge disadvantage, didn’t seem to bother the Chargers against the Chiefs, even though they lost, but even so they’re tough
Buffalo was already being crowned after 2 weeks, but couldn’t overcome their disadvantage game against us
Before the season started I had this game against the Bengals as our biggest disadvantage game on the schedule, feel better about it now and isn’t a no win game any longer, but it won’t be easy
OL still getting recognition!
Waddle seems to have an extra gear this year, first time in his life he’s not the main focus
Guys like Hunt are benefitting from Tua getting respect by a D, so aren’t recklessly pinning their ears back
It cracks me up that I keep hearing Tua still has to prove himself
It’s ridiculous
I’ll say exactly what I said at the start of the offseason. If he plays exactly like he did last year but out other flaws are fixed – we are a playoff team
I really think yesterday’s game puts that in perspective
He didn’t pass for big yardage but made clutch throws
He’s been making clutch throws for 3 years now
Our OL protected him and our playcalling is in a different stratosphere this year than last year
I hope we can get the running game going
Just goes to show you how stubborn people are, maybe you can relate😁
I gained a huge amount of respect for Allen for this and his post game comments.
Picks and sacks baby, sacks and picks, that’s our defensive mantra for Thursday.
Bills fans can bitch all they want about D players being out, but in the end they had chance after chance to win it on O and failed miserably
Hey they had Von Miller!!!!
Who?
He had no tackles 1 PD, not many D plays for them but guys like Kohou have done more with less
Stephen A.sshole Smith sticking with his hate. He’s not impressed with the Dolphins. They didn’t win. The Bills lost.
WTF!?
WTF doe a NBA guy know about football.
Other than be an ass for clicks!
NO MORE SLOW STARTS!
Tua shook off what looked to be a game ending injury and delivered on the biggest play of the game on 3rd and 22. That screams franchise QB to me
Not bad
Still has to prove himself
That’s the difference in the yardage.
There are liars, damn liars and statistics
Correction, with 6 possessions we scored 2 TDs, plus the short field TD.
Oh yeah, and one possession was the Bridgewater possession…whatever…blah blah, Tua isn’t perfect so he sucks…blah
Yo!
It’s not a recipe for success, but you take them any way you can, especially against a team that set the league on fire after the first 2 weeks
MM wanted a little more challenge after week 1, and we passed both with no room to spare
Just think about what had to go right for us to win this game and them lose, which team did the better job, when it had too
In Stephen A fashion I’m going to add the Bills didn’t just lose it, they flat out choked, why? Fear the Fins, be very, very worried 😄
HELL YEAH!!!
I also Believe if Tua didn’t get hurt at end of first half we may have had another score because Tua was moving the ball. We were at midfield when Tua went out
yep
I agree Cav.
The average number of offensive plays in a NFL game is 65.
We had 39 incl. The discrepancies you mentioned.
Yep, last time I looked it was points that won games. 21 points did it in this game.
Timely plays on both sides of the ball won this game.
Baldy…
I love the waddle catches and the td catch
But that throw to Hill in the middle of the field is what moves the ball consistently – that ball is perfectly placed
Yeah but Hyde was out and so were other DBs, and the humidity at this exact moment made a CB slip, and Miller might have been held…🤪 any way you slice it we still won and Tua was fantastic
Not good enough, Waddle had to move his hands about 4 inches to the left of center
Fn Tua, why can’t he ever get a perfect pass in there
We’re lucky Waddle didn’t break a finger with that garbage throw 🤪
Ken
We were totally moving the ball when Tua got hurt. I was thinking g we would score and then get the ball back after the half
And we were robbed of that – that was a critical time to get hurt. I’m glad we got past that. But end of the half and beginning of the 3rd qtr when you get the ball back after half is an important time
I know we had momentum Tua was hot. I was thinking we get bookend scores and create some separation with the Bills but then Teddy comes in
The enemy report on us
I wouldn’t do the deep passing if I were them!
Mixon won’t do shit up the middle!
Other than those it’s not a bad plan
Maybe Von Miller was taken off his game, because he got Armsteaded😝
We said before the season, if the OL can just be average…
Well they’ve exceeded our expectations and look at the team results
It’s still a team game, so when the team benefits from the OL, the OL also benefits from the team, meaning they make each other better, the whole is greater than…

But to continue on as if he isn’t shown he’s a quality NFL QB that can make plays is just trash. This isn’t Blake Bortles getting carried by a good defense and running game. Tua is moving this offense with the passing game.
Maybe they weren’t present in the moment, when Tua went out
Everyone on here in unison felt the value of Tua, even before Teddy Bettyed it
Yep. The second Tua gave up that weeble wobble, I looked at my wife and said “I can’t believe we just lost the game that way”.
Every single one of us, on this board at least, knows exactly how big a drop off it is from Tua to Bridgewater and what Tua means to this team.
As good as Skylar was in PS, even if he plays that well in the regular season, I’m still all in on Tua
I actually think the Bungels team is almost a mirror image of our team.
I really think we would be better if Tindell could get on the field!!!!
Key to the game is the D needs to be relentless going after Burrow, they have to put pressure on him and not give up on a play, especially the pass rushers
Grier needs to swindle another team into trading for Teddy
After Cin game we need to work Skylar into the backup role
Buffalo D is a nightmare matchup for the sloooow twitch Teddy, so I don’t expect him to be as bad, if he has to play going forward, but I still don’t want any part of him on the team
oddest stat line of the day might be Clyde’s … rushed 7 times for zero yards and a TD.
Similar to last week when Mostert had 44 yards receiving and 47 YAC
That LOS can make stats look weird, just like the EZ can on KO returns
Really anxious to see what the report is on Tua’s back.
He likely got it worked on at the half, maybe even a shot, so I’m not real worried they can’t fix him up again
First time I tweaked my back I laid on the ground for 30 minutes before I could get up and crawl into the truck, the next day I went to the chiropractor, they ran this hand held machine across my back and I was fine, but once you get that scar tissue the next time isn’t so easy to recover from
I hope you’re right. Those kinds of injuries can become a bigger problem overnight. Fingers crossed
I’d take a 2023 6th round pick for Teddy.
Honestly.
Teddy’s more likely to lose a game for us than a 6th rounder.
What about a sandwich, would you take that?
a hot pastrami on rye with a good spicy brown mustard and Teddy’s on the road.
Funny
Was thinking he should knock it off, but after a while those QBs aren’t going to be needing counseling after losing to him, it’s going to be accepted
I don’t think the cheats feared us too much in 2018
I can’t believe we dropped all these balls!!!!!!
thing is
we have these little cameo stars all over the roster …
teams never know when a Kohou or a Cracraft is gonna beat you.
