If we keep having these mistakes on Special Teams, it may be time for a new ST coordinator this offseason.

Bottom half of the league in STs last year
KO TD return given up last week
Sherfield being out of position creating a butt punt

Let’s get this shit fixed Crossman!

  2. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

I really think this Cincy game is the game we win with QB pressure.

It’s time for a batted ball by Ogbah,
van Ginkel to speed rush a guy into a Big Mistake, and
Phillips to get a crushing sack.
Even Trey Flowers is starting to contribute.

It’s also time for the law of averages to kick in in our favor on those INTs.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

We faced a statue week 1 and kicked his ass, then the top 2 mobile QBs and they had their way with us for 3 qtrs, but couldn’t finish

Burrow has some movement, but he’s no Allen or Jackson, passrush should feast

  3. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

The Eli Apple rift with Tyreek is laughable, so Eli, with help behind him stops Tyreek on a short pass at the goal line in last years AFC Championship game, if I remember correctly it was right before the half and either time ran out or it was 4th down

So what he made a big play, that was more of a just doing your job, than anything great

Tyreek had to figure the 2nd defender into his move too, so it allowed Tyreek to just fall into his lap

Eli still can’t cover for shit, in an Iggy manner

  5. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Hill should be ready. He hardly broke a sweat against Buffalo.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Hill did his job drawing the attention of the D, allowing Waddle room to work and make the big 3rd and 22 play

      I’ll never worry about Hill

Cracraft missing now from roster, soooo ????

  8. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

I am still pissed off about the safety that Allen threw in the endzone that wasn’t called. It absolutely was intentional grounding. The pass absolutely did not reach the line of scrimmage. The pass absolutely landed in the endzone. THIS WAS A SAFETY!!

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I saw everyone saying this, but it doesn’t have to pass the LOS if there is a receiver in the area, and the RB was a few feet away.

      • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

The RB was like 5 yards away behind linemen. There was no chance that pass as to the RB. IT WAS INTENTIONAL GROUNDING.

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I thought so at first too in real time, but on a replay you can see the ball lands about 3 or 4 feet away from the RB. It was a good no call

  9. Wyoming85's avatar Wyoming85 says:

    OH he loves to hate

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I think it’s a remarkable accomplishment, in general you get outgained by your opponent who is better, but yet you still win, usually aided by TOs or STs

Against the Rams we basically had 3 non O tds

      Against Bills 1

  10. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

    You know what I need?
    I need a laugher.
I need one of those games
where we jump out to a nice lead
and then add to it and
    never really get challenged.

    Like a 34-14 game.

  11. Ken's avatar Ken says:

The non call was the right call it was supposed to be a screen and he threw near the RB

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I get why so many people think it was a safety. I was screaming it on the initial play, the RB gets kinda hidden by the linemen, but on the replay from the defensive point of view, you can see the RB right there.

  12. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

There is an argument going on on Twitter that the Dolphins organization should be penalized for not following concussion protocol. All these twit-wits are sooooooo concerned with Tua’s health…Oh, wait, no they don’t give a fuck about him being concussed they just want him to miss games to help their teams! Bunch of hypocrites.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Some how they have proof there was a head injury?

He passed the concussion protocol of which 1 member was an independent dr

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

We used to do this shit to the cheats when they were relevant

Get used to it, we’re now relevant

      • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

they say the proof is that he wobbled when he walked away. That if it looks like a concussion then it is a concussion and that the player is lying about it.

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

His back was the issue, if you’ve had back issues you know it can do that to you

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

If it was a concussion he would’ve grabbed his head, he instead reached for his face mask, because it was out of alignment

  13. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Just to show the doubters how good he is,
    Tua
on the 45 yard pass to Waddle on 3rd and 22,
looked off the safety till the last second,

thus keeping Waddle in the shade for the whole route till the catch,
just to keep his WR fresh.

from a tweet by Jonathan Keller

  14. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

    Well that sucks for them!

  15. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

    about the Tua injury,
isn’t there a neutral “league” doctor there to make sure it’s all legit?

  16. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

The butt punt was hilarious, but not as funny as Allen’s reaction after throwing the ball into the ground on 4th down

  17. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

The Dolphins’ odds to win the Super Bowl have improved from 35-1 to 16-1 in the first three weeks of the season. Miami is the only team to have won and covered the spread in each of its first three games.

“I think [the Dolphins] are legit, if they’re in a shootout,” Craig Mucklow, director of trading for Caesars Sportsbook and Dolphins fan, said. “What the Bills did today, where they controlled the time of possession, will be a template for lot of teams this year [against Miami].”

  18. Wyoming85's avatar Wyoming85 says:

    beat up

  19. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Well Sean Payton was right that Bridgewater would see the field

  20. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Pretty crazy the Bills had themselves in FG range at the end of both halves and weren’t able to get the kick unit out for an attempt because the clock ran out on them both times.

  21. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

In all the hoopla over us being 3-0 I remind everyone that our first round draft pick keeps getting better. 49rs lose again 1-2 record.

  22. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

So the other 2 undefeated teams (Eagles and Giants) will play each other twice, ensuring that there will be only 1 team to be concerned about going undefeated this year… assuming the ’72 Phins wouldn’t mind us matching their perfection.

    NFL power rankings Week 4

    1. Miami Dolphins 3-0 (previous ranking: 8)

The Dolphins have an impressive opening resume with Mike McDaniel with a variety of victories — rout, big comeback and grinding battle of attrition. They are maximizing their offensive efficiency and their defensive aggressiveness to be shockingly worthy of the top spot after beating the previous “best team.”

  24. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Outside runs by the opposing Offense seem to be our trouble spot this year, and I’m surprised the Bills didn’t try to exploit that weakness of ours.

  25. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

We’re going to have a tough time containing the Bengals’ version of “The Three Amigos”: Chase, Boyd, and Higgins… arguably the best trio of WRs in the NFL.

Sure wish we had Byron back for this Thursday.

  26. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

WOW on that SI power ranking. I asked this question last week what would happen, facetiously saying they will drop the Bills for losing but wont raise us for winning.

  27. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I’m beginning to feel concerned for Gesicki, for yesterday was the second time in 3 games he only had 1 reception. While his blocking has certainly gotten better, he doesn’t seem to be in the game plan in terms of a weapon.

It might be a coincidence (hit the guy who’s most open) or he’s being phased out.

  28. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Shannon Sharpe believes even though Miami beat Buffalo and Baltimore the past two weeks, they feel the Bills and Ravens are still better teams than Miami.

Well, you are wrong. Not just wrong, but willfully ignorant for ignoring the evidence that proves otherwise!

  29. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Liam Eichenberg made a GREAT play yesterday by drawing a holding call: he protected Tua from getting killed. Aside from that heads-up play, he seems to be the weak link on our O-Line thus far. Plenty of time for him to get it turned around, though.

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

I think he has improved and I have been a big critic. I still don’t trust him yet but I see improvement

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Coming from YOU, that’s GREAT to hear, Hulkster! Yes, he’s got a ways to go yet, but he’s certainly better this year than he was last year. I hope he turns into a gem.

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I’m watching the replay and literally just saw that play and was glad he held Miller rather than let a free rusher right up the middle

  30. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

“In the locker room after the game, I didn’t even bring them up because they couldn’t move. But I told them that was a heck of an effort.”

  31. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Power rankings are just a beauty contest, whoever is the soup of the day

Buffalo is obviously a better team, but we’re closing the gap fast and the best team doesn’t always win

Included in being a better team is the coaching staff, and the guy at the top gets the most ping pong balls, if MM isn’t the better coach now give it a few weeks

  32. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Can’t wait to see the first injury report come out, praying that Tua is going to be just fine on a short week.

  33. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

GRRR……..REAT!!!! (in my Tony the Tiger/Thurl Ravenscroft voice)

Steve, there’s a throwback for ya… like your Fonzi throwback a couple of weeks ago. 😀

  35. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I love that after Edmonds got hit as a defenseless receiver, we came right back and let him score the TD on the next play.

My favorite thing so far about this offense is we don’t seem to struggle to score in the red zone. I’m pretty sure we have a perfect TD conversion rate in the RZ through 3 weeks (not sure how many attempts though since we have a number of TD scores from outside the RZ).

  36. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Tua is not in concussion protocol but status for Thursday is still TBD

  37. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Wilkins with the hidden dick grab on Allen draws the personal foul, lol, gamesmanship…

  38. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

    Hulkster,

Have you seen “Andor” yet? It’s not too shabby… pretty good, actually.

  39. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

One week it’s Hill, the next it’s Waddle, every week it’s Tua

Mostert, Edmonds, Gesicki, Smythe, Cracraft and even Sherfield infamously, also contributing

On D Snowman, Kohou, Howard, Ingram, Wilkins, Seiler, Baker

We don’t seem to need one person to have to play great in order to win, that’s a great thing

  40. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

I’d’ve maybe put the Eagles above us.
    No one else, though.

    Previous years don’t count,

and no one’s got a better record,
and no one’s played a harder schedule,
and we’ve not been abnormally lucky,
and the refs don’t favor us,
and we don’t have just one way to score,
or a great D and no offense or
    vice versa

    so why not us

    at least at #2.

  41. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

I just really want us to beat Cincinnati.
It would just feel so awesome to be 4-0 against 4 difficult teams.

I know we aren’t going 17-0, but … just let us beat Cincy and get some rest.

  42. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

I am fairly certain that I have never seen us ranked #1.

  43. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Just saw/caught this on YouTube… guess who made the game-saving tackle to keep McKenzie in bounds as the clock ran out? MELVIN INGRAM

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

      MELVIN INGRAM 4 PREZ!!!
      HELL YEAH!!!

      • naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

and he almost had the sack on Allen, so he had to turn and run the receiver down from behind, all the while not knocking him out of bounds.

        Truly an outstanding play!!

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Like I wrote above, team effort everyone contributing, no one has to do too much, although maybe Ingram is trying to do too much can he keep it up

  44. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Morestead with the fantastic free punt to help save the game. Morestead and Ingram two of the best FA pickups in the league this year.

  45. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Mac Jones, Stafford and Winston lead the league with 5 ints

  46. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Mac Jones has actually played pretty good this year, better than I thought he would, but I think he’s mostly reached his peak, he’s like a Kurt Cousins

  47. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Bills vs Ravens on Sunday, go Ravens. I expect Bills to be overly pissed off though, and take it out on them

  48. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Sorta liked the 37-26 Ravens’ win against the Pats. They didn’t beat the Patriots as bad as we did. Sorta validates our first two wins.

  49. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Stephen A. not ready to put Fins on Buffalo’s level, nor should he

In Allen’s 3rd year he was lighting it up, Bills were killin it, but no one was ready to put them ahead of KC or on their level

People need to put the brakes on these ridiculous stories, we’ve played 3 games, let the season play out, then we can talk about who’s better and where teams stand

  50. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Did you guys notice that after Tua tried that QB sneak at the goal line he looked a little banged up and his legs kind of dipped when he tried to get up. I thought he got hurt on the play but he played through. So I’m not surprised that’s what made him almost fall after the roughing penalty. He didn’t look like a guy with a concussion walking off the field.

  51. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Mac Jones has a significant high ankle sprain and is expected to miss a few weeks.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

GB, Detroit, and Clev coming up for cheats

Mac is now officially injury prone, as he’s been hurt in every game this year

    Holland 5th / 76 S
    Hill 6th / 106 WR 🐆
    Kader 8th / 102 CB
    Armstead 10th / 70 OT
Wilkins and Sieler top 30 DTs (22nd and 28th)

  53. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

  54. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

“It’s my first time on a Thursday night game with Tua, so I don’t assume anything. It wasn’t out of the extreme norm bumps and bruises after a game. As far as me being able to access my crystal ball, it’s broken right now. That’s one of the reasons why you have a roster of capable people, and that’s why we brought Teddy here and drafted Skylar. You have to be ready for these types of adjustments. Just like Teddy was ready in the game, we’ll be ready for whatever we’ll have to deal with moving forward.”

    — McDaniel on Tua

  55. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

How about that crazy stat that the Bills offense had not had a 3rd and 10 or longer at any point this season until the 4 minute mark in the 2nd quarter of our game. Unbelievable.

  56. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

In 2023 NFL is replacing the Probowl with Probowl Games, as in some BS skills events, something like NHL has before the actual all star game

First games will be here in Vegas, and they’ll probably charge an arm and leg for the events, just like the NHL did

I won’t be attending, it will be more watered down, than the actual game has been

  57. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

McDaniel noted that when he initially saw Tagovailoa stumble on the field, he also made an assumption about what was going on with the quarterback.

“But that’s why there’s also an independent neurologist that clears him,” McDaniel said. “We have to clear him. You’re talking to the player. and listen, the one thing I think our players know more than anybody, there’s certain things I’m very sensitive to — I’ve been called emotional from time to time — and one of those things is player health. So I don’t mess around with that — at all.

“And it was above and beyond, Tua was pretty annoyed with me during the game when I was talking to him because he knew what hurt and didn’t understand why people kept talking to him about what we were talking to him about. I think watching replays, he probably could. That’s something that I think, the pillar of importance for all of it is player safety. That’s why the protocols are in place. So, we’re happy to comply and feel fine about that whole process, really.”

  58. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

The Bills ran 90 plays to our 39 and we held them to 17 points. That’s pretty impressive.

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

The scored their 14th point with about 12 and a half minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

They only scored 3 points the rest of the way, close to 3 quarters…

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Our defense did a lot of bending but not a lot of breaking.

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Yep, we got really stingy on our side of the field. We forced them to make good play after good play to extend drives and score. And we were able to force them into mistakes that cost points on some drives, and stop them on others.

  59. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I believe Teddy Bridgewater was brought in for his naturally supportive and cerebral nature. Not sure we could win with him, but he’s an incredible teammate.

I could see Teddy going into coaching or even into the booth after his career is over. Until then, as a PLAYER, he’s still Betty Treadwater to me. I love the guy, but he’s not our answer as a player backup QB.

  60. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Teddy didn’t get very deep in the pocket. It looked like he was with the OL at the LOS. I don’t know what’s up with him.

  61. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

  67. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

They don’t usually do an injury report the day after a game or you would see a lot more like the one above. I’m hoping the practice they have been getting is quality practice so they can afford to miss some.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Dude said it was “an estimation.” They aren’t even practicing today even if a number of players might come in for medical eval.

  68. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I’m thinking Tua will be good to go on Thursday, he finished the game so why would he miss the next one?

  69. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

During the off season after we traded for Hill many people came out and said “you can’t compare Tua to Mahomes, don’t be..”

Um, I will refer those to NFL.COM/stats so they can “not compare them” as well.

Turns out great WR help QB’s be better. It’s only week 3 but all the stats are favorably comparable

I give the coaches and OL a lot of props to overcome so many injuries early and still play well enough to go 3-0. Lot’s of players have chipped in. I see that the Tampa Bay team went to Miami
to work out for their game
while the hurricane passes through their town.

But it will be raining hard there mostly the whole time they are there.

But I wonder if our team is leaving for Cincinnati soon,
so they don’t have to fly right through the storm after it makes landfall.

And the league is monitoring whether their field will be safe to play on against the Chiefs on Sunday,
but they will NOT play in Hard Rock,
      according to Adam Schefter.

Funny how 90% of NFL fans and experts say Tua sucks, he has no arm. Those same 90% are screaming that the Dolphins be investigated for their handling of Tua as to whether he was concussed and if he should have been allowed to play.

    Really???

Be sure to listen to the audio and notice Jalen Hurts is on the sideline.

Tua shows pocket presence, athleticism, courage, BIG ARM …

That was not just a perfect throw to Waddle in stride with 50+ air yards. What was more impressive is he did it with a sore back and sore ankle.
