    TODAY changes EVERYTHING!

We now have the ability to run the football: our O-Line has finally gelled.

  7. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Dolphins tied with the Titans for best conference record.

  8. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

With a 135.0 rating today, Tua posted his 3rd straight game with 3 TDs and a QB rating of 135 or over.

    • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

That’s fucking incredible…MM maximizing his talent

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Yep, and today Tua showed it’s not just Waddle and Hill. The Browns took away the middle of the field and clearly were scheming to take away Hill.

It opened up our run game, and Tua still made every play he needed to in the passing game.

Woohoo!! This offense is a force to be reckoned with!

      • Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

He finds his weapons, sees the field….MM teaching him and he’s an awesome student…oh my

  10. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

    491 total yeards today.
    296 passing yards.
    195 rsushing yards.
    7.3 yards per play.
    No turnovers.

I’d call that a nicely complete offense.

  11. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    Garrett and Clowney who?

They show up on the stat sheet with 3 tackles between them. That is it!

  12. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Our offense is a 2022 version of Bill Walsh. His coaching tree got us to this point.

  13. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Tua with a 135.03 rating today.

He really is the real deal.

  14. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

    I was telling a friend, I can’t remember the last time we had a 7-3 record. I really can’t.

    I remember last year’s 3-7 shitshow…lol

  15. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Our defense got pressure today. Chubb was impactful. If this defense can get healthy during the bye and start getting pressure…

I saw a couple of times today we had a 3rd down package with Wilkins and Phillips in the middle with Chubb and Ingram on the outside, and at least twice we created really good pressure out of it.

  16. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

What’s Tua’s record as a starter? I lost track. LOL

  17. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Good time for the bye too, I think.

  20. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

I will still remind the knuckleheads, Tua was coming off a dislocated hip and no preseason his first year….lmao…no fucking comparisons are close.

Then, fractured ribs in 2nd year by a brutal unchecked slam to the ground….try throwing a ball after that..
Yet…he came back against all odds in the face of a dick coach..

    Apples to oranges

  26. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Tagovailoa is now 13-2 in his last 15 starts. He is now at 138 straight passes without an interception. His passer rating on third downs is the highest by anybody since the NFL began tracking that statistic in 1991.

  27. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    The Raiders are laughably bad

  28. Ken's avatar Ken says:

What was amazing is that great Browns pass rush was not even a factor. That is not all about the OL which is definitely but also Tua with that quick release and great pocket presence

  29. New Age's avatar New Age says:

    Josh Allen last 3 games:

I’m still wondering why the 49ers traded Wilson to us for a 5th. He was playing well for them and he’s been great for us. They better hope they stay healthy at RB.

  33. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

    I love 23 Wilson JR

  34. Ken's avatar Ken says:

7-3 and first place at the bye. Better than Hulk imagined

  35. Ken's avatar Ken says:

I don’t see Josh Allen in MVP consideration right now

    • New Age's avatar New Age says:

If Tua continues, I don’t see how he can’t win it. The 3 losses without him makes it seems like the obvious choice. Hurts or Mahomes are the other top choices, but I really think Hill deserves it over them. The dude has really opened up our offensive capabilities and we are the surprise team and offense of the year. No one expected this even with McD being a Shannahan guru.

  36. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Mostert started off dancing then started slashing…..seemed timid early but picked it up…I liked that…

  37. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

Now for the bad…we need to replace Sanders NOW for this push and playoffs. He’s a disaster!

Then fire coach whenever our season ends…he’s clueless…oh my

    It’s the Shanahan scheme.
    ———
No… it’s the Alex Gibbs ZBS, first and foremost. The Broncos wouldn’t have won back-to-back Super Bowls (John Elway and Terrell Davis) without it.

Remember what I posted a week or so ago: Mike McDaniel and Alex Gibbs hit it off when McDaniel was but a teen.

But yes, most generically speaking, it’s been (falsely) labeled the “Shanahan scheme”.

The TD to Sherfield Tua is supposed to throw the ball at the back pylon, if you look at that throw without the players there it would have nailed it.

  48. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Besides Tua, Hill and Waddle, the OL has been really good in pass pro. They are giving Tua field to work with to get passes off. Today the run game was excellent as well.

Wilson is surely a piece! I like him a lot…

  55. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I remember many, many, many years ago when Marino made our O-line look great too. Quick release, and good footwork. Tua looks better seeing the rush and stepping up while keeping his eyes upfield. He is doing a lot if things right.

  57. Ken's avatar Ken says:

  58. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

And to think, right now we legit could have been looking at a team that has Brian Flores as our HC, DeShaun Watson who would not have played a down for us, and no Waddle, Hill, or Chubb. 😱

  85. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Niners D doing everything they can to keep this game in reach

  86. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Tua is so all in on everything. Even his gamesmanship is all in. He called a play tonight and the got to the line and looked at his play list again like he had to remind himself of the play or progressions and then handed it off for a big gain, not something he had to think about. LOL

  87. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Ken – Chubb has been outside though. He’s not set up like Ogbah has been inside on the D-line. He can do it, he’s the same size as Ogbah. That would mean AVG would probably play LB. Or, like Tim said Flowers could play DE too

  88. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    Now it’s a game.

  90. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

Where’s the spotter in that Herbert hit?

  91. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

    Terrible fucking call

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I can’t believe they are making this call and throwing him out

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

I think the call is right but the ejection is wrong

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

He didn’t lead with his head. The freaking runner changed direction because the other niner hit him and changed his trajectory. Terrible call.

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

But the rule dictates that the defender is still responsible in that circumstance

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

The rule is the runner can’t lead with his helmet. They can hit helmet to helmet.

Defenseless receiver the tackler is always responsible if it’s head or neck contact. Tackles on a runner, you just can’t lead with your head, but you can make helmet to helmet contact. The tackler didn’t lead with his head. Do you realize how often this kind of contact happens on run plays?

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

If the runner head has changed position or elevation it is still the defender’s responsibility to avoid the helmet to helmet hit

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

First, that is simply wrong. The NFL added an exception for inadvertent contact to add intent.

Exception for “inadvertent” contact dramatically changes helmet rule

2nd, both spearing and targeting require leading contact with the crown of the helmet. Look at the video below. Herbert’s helmet hits first right into Greenlaw’s earhole. He doesn’t even hit with the crown.

That call was simply a ref saying he thought Greenlaw lowered his head on purpose with intent to hurt. BS call, 100%.

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

I was unaware that changed. But I saw and still see helmet to helmet

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

you can pause the video and move it forward frame by frame and see that Herbert face first hits right into the side of Greenlaw’s helmet, right in the earhole, lol.

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

If you have to go frame by frame I think you are in the realm of it is safe to call it helmet to helmet but I wouldn’t have ejected him

      • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

That’s a fair point. I can agree there.

  92. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

Greenlaw doesn’t even hit him with the crown of his helmet. It’s actually HerBert who runs into the side of Greenlaw’s helmet.
