This video is from 10 days ago. I didn’t realize just how much MORE we got out of the Laremy Tunsil trade than the obvious! You’ll see it at the end of the video…

    • mf13ss says:

Then think about it… the ‘bong-mask’ ordeal with Tunsil allowed this to come to fruition. If that hadn’t leaked on Draft night, Tunsil was going to be a top-3 selection.

      FORTUNE!!!

  2. Rockphin says:

2021 draft turns out to be one of the best in memory.

  3. Tim Knight says:

The BUF/CLE game was moved to Detroit. They’re expecting possibly 4-6 feet of snow in Buffalo. Yikes!

  4. mf13ss says:

It’s only a matter of time before each and every franchise has a domed field. This makes them eligible to be Super Bowl host cities, where it brings forth much revenue.

The big issue is traveling and parking and all that goes with going to a game. Puts people in dangerous situations.
    ————-
You’re not wrong about that, either. But if the game must go on (it will), it’s being played in a domed stadium. Perhaps there are enough leftover props from COVID to fill the stands with cardboard fans.

  6. Ken says:

  7. The Flying Pig says:

Buffalo losing a home game is hilarious

  8. The Flying Pig says:

Why are we worried about snow putting Bills fans in danger

Those assholes jump head first through tables!

  9. naplesfan2010 says:

So the Bills could lose in Detroit Sunday and then lose in Detroit again 4 days later.

    I hope.

  10. Krishna says:

The video with Tua, MM, Sherfield, and back to Tua and MM….

‘You’re playing at a high, high level…keep chopping the wood.’ Tua’s response, “Keep chopping the wood.”

    Fucking, right on!

  11. Krishna says:

MM praises Tua and makes him humble at the same time…perfect!

    • Krishna says:

“makes” is not the right word, neither is “keeps”….hmmmm

    • Tim Knight says:

MM is a positive coach who uplifts his players. He treats them like men who are professionals, not like children. Players especially vets appreciate that.

    • Krishna says:

He is encouraging Tua to keep doing what he’s doing and acknowledging that if he continues his path he may be elite. But, it will take work! And, Tua is all in. Nice.

  12. Krishna says:

Agreed…except children can be treated the same way with similar results…

  13. CavalierKong says:

    https://www.si.com/nfl/dolphins/news/miami-dolphins-bring-back-brennan-scarlett-and-other-notes

“Veteran Brennan Scarlett is back with the Miami Dolphins, a little than three months after being placed on injured reserve.”

“The Dolphins signed the linebacker to the practice squad Thursday, filling the opening created when defensive lineman Ben Stille was poached by the Cleveland Browns and signed to their active roster.”

  14. Ken says:

Might be an entertaining game tonight

  15. The Flying Pig says:

    Let’s go Packers

  16. The Flying Pig says:

Had to let him know what I thought of his opinion

  17. naplesfan2010 says:

Tannehill zips them right down the field for a TD.

I’d like Tennessee to go on and win their division,
so we don’t have to contend with them for a wild card spot.

  18. Ken says:

I just have a hard time rooting for Green Bay

  19. mf13ss says:

    C’MON, PACKERS!!!

  20. bookman11 says:

    I hate the Packers

  21. Ken says:

I can’t stand Aaron Rodgers. Smug asshole

  22. Ken says:

On the flip side I always liked Tannehill and not just because he is a former Fin but because he has always been a class act

  23. mf13ss says:

    Bookman (HEY!),

I’m not pro-Packers, it’s just that the Titans are direct competitors with us Phins for playoff position, bud!

  24. mf13ss says:

    Ken says:
    November 17, 2022 at 9:48 pm
But as a division winner which is not a threat to us
    ——-
LOL, do you REALLY want to take a chance on that?!! 😀
    HELL NO!!!

  25. Tim Knight says:

    We want a Titans loss.

  26. Tim Knight says:

As long as Tua is starting I have a lot of confidence in our team making the playoffs. The seedings are going to change a few times down the stretch. Just get in. 🙂

  27. mf13ss says:

    bookman11 says:
    November 17, 2022 at 10:10 pm
Wow. Yeah, you know what? I get the math, I just hate Rodgers and the Packers
    ————-
I can clearly understand that, man! Just don’t allow “hate” to color your vision… especially when it comes to our Phins, Brother.

HATE is a powerful motivator, but that leads to the dark side. We should absolve ourselves of anything HATE.

  28. Ken says:

Titans have very little impact on our ability to make the playoffs. They are going to win their division. That doesn’t effect our divisional aspirations or our chances at a wildcard

  29. mf13ss says:

    Bookman,

We’re happy to have ya back here!!!

  30. CavalierKong says:

The Titans are a 6-3 team and they had not scored a single 4th quarter TD this season until this game

  31. naplesfan2010 says:

I have to agree with Bookman and Ken on this.
The Packers used to be my favorite team when they had Bart Starr,
but I’ve never liked Favre or Rodgers.

  32. Ken says:

  33. mf13ss says:

I suppose that it’s MY BAD to be rooting against the Titans tonight as a die-hard Phins fan, huh.

  34. mf13ss says:

    Ken says:
    November 17, 2022 at 10:55 pm
We want to see Tom Brady’s broken body on the football field
    ————–
    😆

  35. Tim Knight says:

Why are talking about Tom Brady? TEN/GB is not his game.

  36. Tim Knight says:

The Dolphins control their own destiny which is really cool. 🙂

  37. mf13ss says:

    CONGRATS TO THE TENNESSEE TITANS!!!

They probably just knocked the Miami Dolphins out of a 1st-round bye!!!

    YAY!!! TITANS!!! WOO!!!
    😡

  38. Tim Knight says:

By the way we’re still ahead of the Titans at 7-3. LOL

  39. mf13ss says:

Audi. Peace to all of y’all.

    • Tim Knight says:

Did you know we were still ahead or ran from it? Of course we wanted to see the Titans lose. But we are still ahead of them. 🙂

  40. Tim Knight says:

As a fan of course we all want this to happen. But if Tua was somewhere else he wins. That’s what he’s always done. The media forgot about their “Tank for Tua” headlines for years. Now tail between the leg they’re still trying to act like experts. LOL

Tua is a surgeon. He gets the ball to his playmakers. That’s his job.

  41. son of a son of a shula says:

Stanger never admits that Herschel video was bullshit, it wasn’t even him talking. That ain’t right.

  42. naplesfan2010 says:

The Brennan Scarlett signing is a good one.
    He’s a big strong guy.
He hits hard, and he can stand up a tackle and demolish a TE to set the edge.

A real pro in the locker room, and he knows our system.

  43. naplesfan2010 says:

I think he is an example of how Grier works the edges of the roster rules.
I don’t care to study this aspect, just like I am no capologist,
but we waived Scarlett with an injury settlement a little ways into the regular season.
We had him on IR at first back at the “Big Cut-down Day” ,
so we could get him through without losing him to another team.

So he’s already been paid for this season, at least enough so he can live on that without getting a job and still work out and stay in shape. So he doesn’t need to go hunt for work.

    Grier has done this before.
(for example, he might be doing it right now with that TE we tried to trade.)

It keeps a guy tethered to us yet “out of sight” to the other teams.
I guess he makes a “deal” with them that he’ll give them an “injury settlement”
if they secretly agree to not sign with another team
and stay in shape to come back on our squad if we need them during the season.

Of course if the player gets a great offer from another team, we’d lose him, but that’s a risk you can take with a third string DE, or a 4th string TE, for example.

  44. naplesfan2010 says:

Tannehill was 22/27. He only missed 5 passes.
for 333 yards and 2 TDs.
Of course he had to spoil it by throwing a late pick,
    but they won the game
with Derrick Henry only getting a 3.1 average per carry.

I’m still a Ryan Tannehill fan.

I still don’t like Aaron Rogers at all.

  45. naplesfan2010 says:

The Titans still have to play the Eagles, Bengals, and Chargers.
Those last 2 are desperate for wins.

The Titans have already lost to the Bills (a common opponent tie breaker with us)
If we beat the Packers, we’ll be 2 up in that way.

If we keep winning, we’ll be fine.
If we stumble, we should still stay ahead of Indy.

  46. steveccnv says:

At what price would you bring back Gesicki in 2023?

    I’d say no realistic price

I’m not bringing him back at 5m, or 4m or even 3m

    • Ken says:

He is an important red zone weapon. It would be foolish to let him just walk away. That said he is not worth any type of record setting deal

    • naplesfan2010 says:

I like Gesicki. I think he is still an ascending player.

He seems to not get hurt. Availability is a good “ability.”
A TE who is on IR half the season is not as good as
one who suits up for every game.

He’s very fast, and that fits in with our style.
He gets open with a knack of finding little open spots.
He seems to have no trouble learning the complicated TE playbook.

He’s an intrinsically cheerful guy, a positive part of the locker room.
He’s 6’6″ and is a great leaper with a huge catch radius and strong hands.

      If McDaniel wants him back,
I’ll leave it to Grier to make that work under the cap.

There’s always been a place for a seam busting TE who can get downfield.

      • steveccnv says:

He’s more of a slow WR 4.54, than a fast TE, he possesses no quickness after the catch, basically a DeVonte Parker jump ball receiver, can’t block, doesn’t fit the scheme and seems the catches he gets between the 20s are more spoon fed

  47. bailbondmike says:

I don’t get not rooting for another team because it will tremendously help your team come playoff slotting just because you hate that team or a player. Y’all really think we will go 7-0 or 6-1 over the last 7 games. I hope, but we have a bunch of tough games. We have 3 tough division games all fighting for the playoffs, 2 of them are on the road in cold weather. Then we have 2 tough games on the other coast back to back then at Buffalo.

Home field advantage is so important to this team. Would you rather play at home in the playoffs or on the road in late January in KC, Buff or even TN. We saw what happened in the cold rain in TN.

It’s like the hatred for another team that does not even matter to you outweighs the love for your team. SMH

  48. steveccnv says:

    https://dolphinnation.com/2022/11/17/highly-regarded-dolphins-oc-frank-smith-named-as-candidate-for-coming-hc-cycle-by-nfl-insider/

I don’t care so much about Smith, but if he does get an HC job I worry about who he takes with him players and coaches

    • naplesfan2010 says:

      hmmm
I guess GMs might want Smith.
He’s paid some dues over the years and
eventually deserves a shot at HC,
      but I don’t think he’s ready yet.

But of course teams will be looking at poaching talent
      from the most successful programs.

I wonder how much Smith-ness is in our offense
versus how much is from McDaniel.

I can’t see many coaches or players wanting to leave
the fun and success we are having right now.

      Money talks, though.

      • steveccnv says:

That was my point on Smith, is it him or MM?

He may be doing a great job, but can many OCs just be plug and coach under MM?

  49. Ken says:

Now the Jets Pats has a much bigger impact on our chances both divisional and wild card. I will be rooting for the Pats in that and glued to my TV on Sunday

  50. bailbondmike says:

Baltimore has a very easy shot at being #1 seed in the AFC come playoff time. Their next 7 games are against teams all with losing records and the only winning team they play is at the 5-4 Bengals in the last game of the season.

Chiefs also have an easier schedule playing 5 of 8 teams with losing records. The teams with winning records they play are the 6-4 Seahawks and 5-4 Chargers and Bengals.

The 3rd and 4th seed of the division winners will likely be an AFCE team and TN.

If we win the division, Buffalo is likely going to be the #1 wild card team. Would you rather play Buffalo or the Jets, Pats, Chargers or Bengals in the first round of the playoffs?

So yes, rooting for the Titans to lose is a must.

  51. bailbondmike says:

Steve, not conceding the division at all. Just saying we have the toughest road to win it. The main point I was getting at is we don’t want to be the #4 seed behind the Titans as it will likely mean another slugfest with Buffalo in the first round.

  52. Ken says:

I don’t really care who we play in the playoffs. Bottom line is you have to beat the best to the best. We can’t worry about other teams business. We have to worry about our own

  53. steveccnv says:

In the 70s I couldn’t stand the Raiders and Cowboys, today I don’t have a real hate for any teams outside our division

I guess not being in the playoffs much this century changes the outlook

If I had to pick 1 team outside AFCE to not make the playoffs I’d say Ravens

  54. naplesfan2010 says:

I am a Dolphins fan. I’ve been one from the first days of the franchise.

But I also have other teams I like.
I reserve the right to root for my other favorite teams,
some of which are in the NFC and some in the AFC.

And there are some teams I hate and want to always lose,
(unless they are playing a team I hate worse,
or a team I know is a problem for the Dolphins reaching success.)

This changes from time to time, unlike the Dolphins,
which is the team i will never abandon
(unless they release Tua and bring in Brady)
(or DeShaun or even Lamar Jackson).

    • bailbondmike says:

I am right with you on that Naples. Being a military brat and in the military myself moving every 3-4 years, I have grown to like other teams. Same goes with college football.

I root for former players of my teams as well. I like Tanny and still have his jersey. My wife is from TN and roots for the Titans. I still wanted the Titans to lose last night and going forward.

There are teams I hate (mostly in division) but will still pull for them if it helps us in any little way.

None will ever outweigh my love for the Phins, like you said.

  55. steveccnv says:

    Ken says:
    November 18, 2022 at 9:34 am
He was really good last night. Good QBs exploit the weaknesses in the defense

True, but can he get the job done, when the running game is not working?

He hasn’t been able to in the playoffs and his pocket presence is a huge issue

  56. naplesfan2010 says:

If we win the Division, we get the bye,
so no worries about the First Round seeding.

  57. CavalierKong says:

I don’t have any desire to watch the Jest vs Pets game. I despise them both too much to enjoy the game.

I was going to watch the Browns vs Bills because a snow game was going to be fun and it was easy to root for the Browns, but the league took that from me.

That leaves me with no real watchable game other than maybe hoping the Colts beat the Eagles, which is unlikely.

I guess I’ll watch the Browns vs Bills until the Bills are up 3 scores in the 2nd quarter, then switch to the Pets game 🤮

  58. steveccnv says:

son of a son of a shula says:

Stanger never admits that Herschel video was bullshit, it wasn’t even him talking. That ain’t right.

I’m pretty sure it was, it sounds like him, and the hands match the words

Not sure what Stangers’ problem was with it, he was just trying to get people to believe he can win, to get them to vote, while throwing a little jab at warmack (be careful of the guy in the shiny suit)

I don’t believe he can win, not as long as there’s mail in ballots being sent out to the masses

  59. naplesfan2010 says:

    As it stands right now,
we would be the #2 seed and host the Patriots in the Wild Card Round.

That would work. I also would not fear the jest in a playoff at home.

It’s hard to believe things will stay as they are right through to the end,
    but they might,
or the pats and NY might swap,
or the jest might collapse right out of the playoffs.

Of course, we might swap places with the Bills (ie them first and us 2nd in the East)
in which case we’d probably play the Titans on the road.

The Bengals have a really difficult schedule,
so I predict they miss the playoffs,
and the Chargers are the Chargers,
    so they might surge,
    but they’ll probably blow it.

I think Pittsburgh and Cleveland are too far back to recover.
The rest of the AFC is a hot mess.

So it’s very possible that all 4 AFCE teams make it.

    • bailbondmike says:

I can see that. It will just come down to the remaining divisional matchups.

Bills have 4 division games left, 3 at home and 3 in a row at Pats then home vs Jets then Dolphins.
Pats have 4 division games left, 3 at home.
Dolphins have 3 division games left, 2 on the road.
Jets have 3 division games left, all 3 on the road. They also have 5 road games left, at Pats, at Vikings, at Bills, at Seahawks then at Miami.

      • bailbondmike says:

We also have 4 road games left out of 7 games all against teams with winning records.

      • steveccnv says:

Lots of AFC contenders have tough remaining schedules, tough division almost guarantees it

Don’t go by record, go by current state of opponents, either way Ravens have a pretty easy schedule

  60. bailbondmike says:

Video is long as most of his are but enjoy them. The cook part looked delicious but think I’d rather have a pasta instead of rice.

    • stangerx says:

That was really cool. Knew about and have done spear fishing but didn’t know about the blue water kind. And Wahoo is my favorite fish we get down here.

  61. steveccnv says:

Tua has been so accurate, that when I watch other games, like last night, I say to myself Tua would’ve completed that pass

  62. bailbondmike says:

Anyone seen the movie “Where the Crawdads Sing”? We really enjoyed it.

  63. CavalierKong says:

Whoops, Titans OC got a little too frisky…

  64. steveccnv says:

When MM interviewed, I wonder how much he talked to Grier about his vision for the O

Then he’s on the plane calling Tua, he was so excited saying things like, you’re going to remember this day…

Did MM expect this O this fast? I bet he did

  65. Tim Knight says:

Myles Garrett on the loss to the Dolphins.

    • naplesfan2010 says:

      yehhh
This is why I think the old warning that goes like “as soon as teams figure out what they’re doing, they’ll find ways to beat it and adjust.”

There’s no “it” with McDaniel. No one thing we do.
He changes what the game plan is for each new opponent (listening Flo?).

And he even changes “it” during the game,
as Baltimore and Detroit found out after getting big leads.

  66. CavalierKong says:

Garrett basically saying his coaches suck, lol.

JUST SAW the Press Conference which, in essence, announced a special prosecutor for the events of January 6 and the events related to some missing documents. I’m of the opinion that the sooner we complete this investigation, the better it is for our country. I have VERY strong opinions about those who went outside the law to assault our Congressional security forces while they tried to hunt down and kill our Vice President and our Speaker of the House (note that was one person from each party).

Trying to overthrow the results of a free election is outright TREASON. All you proud boys and bully boys need to be brought to swift, severe, justice. These felons MUST PAY for bringing severe injuries and death to our congressional security forces. And they MUST PAY for trashing parts of the House of Representatives and Senate offices.

All this to support an individual who was quoted by FOX NEWS as saying “those troops who died at the allied Normandy invasion were a “bunch of losers.”
    ———————————–
I was actually hoping we could de-politicize some of the political talk on this website and other websites that cater to sports fans and athletic teams. But today’s announcements must not go unnoticed. They were made necessary because by someone who wanted to circumvent the electoral process. TO REPEAT, those bullies (some of whom have already been punished) are NOT PATRIOTS,despite their claims to the contrary. They ARE opponents of democracy and deserve to be treated as the traitors they really are.

I have served my country when called. I and my family who moved here from Canada did so because we believed in this country. And I put my ass on the line to prove it, as have millions of other legal immigrants who have stood tall when called upon.

WE DID NOT COME HERE to idly stand by and watch a bunch of hooligans and misfits trash our capitol because they believe (without adequate proof) that the election was stolen from them.

I hope the new special prosecutor sees to it that these felonious traitors get exactly what they deserve.
