OD – did Miami have scenes like this after the perfect season SB?
I don’t think anyone alive could call that game boring. It was a classic.
Page turn 😉
It mostly was for about 75+ minutes
Penalty kicks twice for flopping after being touched on shoulder…
Strong wind can bring some of those players down. Lots of phantoms on the field too 😉
Anyone doesn’t think Armstead makes a difference. This is unreal
You know how I feel, said as much on 90% of my posts the week of SF game
Why would the NFL want to clean it up?
They need to be able to manipulate games, so tv networks can maximize profits, which in turn comes back to them in the next TV deal
Works like this, the networks want rams in SB, so they speak with the NFL, who talks to the refs and ask them to officiate the game a certain way, doesn’t always work, but they do what they can
This was in response to Julian Edelman telling NFL to clean it up
Sad but true!
TM announcing another video drop Friday
I agree, if this is offensive to you grow a pair, if not you may have other issues
People in general
Bucs ILB Levonte David is a free agent next year.
We don’t have an extra 20 mil
DT Javon Hargrave is a free agent next year. Very good pass rushing DT.
Another DT/NT who would be cheaper than Hargrave is:
DARON PAYNE, WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
Payne showed early in his NFL career that he could be a stout run-defender from the nose tackle position, with his 86 defensive stops against the run the most in the NFL from 2018-20. And he has now continued to build on his pass-rush arsenal to the point where he’s now a problem for interior offensive linemen trying to keep their quarterback upright. Payne has 80 quarterback pressures since the start of 2021, 10th-most among interior defenders, with his 11.9% pass rush win rate a very respectable figure on the inside.
Cethan is a TE we could’ve used this year, or at least given him a shot at being a system fit
He was #3 ahead of Long.
I figured Lavonte David would be too expensive but here is another free agent ILB who is ascending.
LB DAVID LONG, TENNESSEE TITANS
The Titans ask a lot of their off-ball linebackers, and Long can do it all. His 90.3 run-defense grade so far in 2022 is second-best at the position, with his 12 tackles for loss or no gain tied for the second-most. Long plays a downhill, attacking brand of football that helps him blow up a lot of plays but also makes him particularly susceptible to over-committing on play-action passes and missing tackles when he takes a poor pursuit angle. Nevertheless, he is clearly an ascending young player contributing immensely to Tennessee’s defense that currently ranks top five in expected points added per rush allowed on the season.
The 2022 season is Long’s first as a full-time starter at middle linebacker, but he’s made the most of opportunities in the past. Over the past three seasons, his 19.7% pass-rush win rate and 23.5% pressure rate are both the third-best marks among off-ball linebackers with at least 100 pass-rush snaps over the span.
OT Jack Conklin will be a free agent. A few injuries might keep his price down.
Reading an article about the salary cap, chances of it going up drastically next year is slim, NFL generally moves it up gradually
Can’t believe though that we’d have signed all those guys this year, just to be in salary cap hell next year, it it wasn’t going up close to 300m
We sit at 2.5m over in 2023 at 233m and only 37 players under contract
That really sucks
CB’s Cam Sutton and Patrick Peterson will be free agents. Too bad we are cursed by the contract of Byron Jones. Who knows what kind of player Jones will be after this injury/surgery. He could be garbage. We already knew he wasn’t an INT guy.
We aren’t going to be signing a bunch of FAs next year, that cost much, maybe 7 rookies, including UDFAs, then 9 more FAs some frome our team
I was just going to say I am looking at the wrong end of the free agent list. SMH
TE Hayden Hurst is a free agent in 2023. He is not a receiving threat, but he plays like an animal. Very Physical.
We’re 8-6 and in the 6th spot.
Titans, Pats and Jets are 7-7 in the #7-9 spots one game behind.
7th makes the playoffs too.
I have a grand strategy on this.
Just beat the Packers.
We are in the 7th spot. The last spot. Chargers leapfrogged us because they have the head to head on us.
Titans are in the 4th spot as the division leader for the AFC South.
I stand corrected — was just looking at the records. So gotta hold off the Yets and Pats. In our hands. But beat the Packers still the way to go.
Right now it’s
1 Bills
2 Chiefs
3 Bengals
4 Titans
5 Ravens
6 Chargers
7 Dolphins
———————–
8 Patriots
9 Jets
10 Jaguars
If the Jags catch us they’ll win that division though.
I was just saying where things are right now. Of course, this will al change.
Jags are on a serious roll.
Cincinnati has 3 decent TE’s all of them are free agents in 2023. Well Mitchell Wilcox is a RFA.
Chargers may totally flip their script and be the #1 wildcard team with their easy remaining schedule.
Bills LB Tremaine Edmonds is a free agent. Hope they lose him.
So is their Free Safety Jordan Poyer. Hope they lose both.
We beat the Pats and Jets we are in
This is true. Titans and Jags face of last game of the season. That could determine their division. Jags are at the Jets this weekend.
This Thursday
Bengals are at Patriots so that is nice also.
That is really what it comes down to. We have to take care of our division foes. Both of them are good defenses with issues on offense.
We should be better than them and should win both those games. If we can’t win those games and don’t make it in, then we don’t deserve to.
As long as we beat GB, then we can probably even afford to lose to the Pets in NE as the Pets will almost certainly lose to the Bills, and probably will lose two more overall.
Really, just win our last two games at home and we’re in unless the Pets somehow win their last 3 games.
Win 2 and we are in. Maybe not exactly mathwise, but from a practical standpoint. We can still get in with one win, but that gets into other games that are yet to be played.
I agree with you Cav. If we can’t beat them then we don’t deserve it
Patriots have 55 mil in cap space in 2023. Wonder if they go after Lamar Jackson?
Titans are fading and Jags are rising
At best, we will more than likely stay at the 7th seed. Who would you want to face, Bills or Chiefs?
Though, Bengals could sneak into the #2 spot. They play at Patriots then last 2 at home vs Buffalo and Ravens.
Chiefs have it easiest of the top teams.
When I look at the possible seedings that Chargers loss irks me more and more.
If we had won that one, we would be #1 wildcard looking to play the Titans or Jaguars. Unless Ravens win that division with their easier schedule than the Bengals. We would lose the head to head with Bengals who would then get the Titans or Jags and we would get the Ravens.
Ah fuck, who cares. Just win and get in!
That loss really bothered me and still bothers me.
I thought Elon Musk was the free speach guy.
“a new Twitter policy that forbids users from linking out to competing social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Post, and Nostr.”
I don’t see anything wrong with that whatsoever. Why link to one’s competition on social media, for one? What’s more, Twitter (prior to Musk), Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Tribel, Post, and Nostr are all disinformation campaigns (via the FBI and CIA) against 50% of the country (conservatives and republicans).
I presume you haven’t acknowledged the ‘Twitter File’ dumps over the last couple of weeks.
This all makes ‘Water Gate’ seem like a juvenile prank, to be honest.
Where were you when Twitter was banning conservatives and republicans by the 10’s of thousands? I was one of them. Where were you prior to Musk, regarding this whole ‘what about freedom of speech’?
I can’t tell if you’re willfully ignorant or just trying to gaslight.
It is in with Musk’s rights as owner of the business, but he had been pushing open forum strongly before.
What does a link have to do with free speech?
Think we all know MF
DAMN RIGHT, my man Steve.
The things you guys take offense at.
“That was a huge win for Buffalo, but sometimes you lose a game, and I’m really impressed. The Miami Dolphins’ loss Saturday night was one of the more impressive losses of the year. For a warm weather team to go up in that cold, against Josh Allen, outplay them, outcoach them, outsmart them for a big chunk of that football game, a tip of the cap to the Dolphins. They feel like a playoff team to me.”
— Colin Cowherd
Wow that’s something coming from him.
Julian Edelman wasn’t pleased with how the final game on the NFL’s Week 15 Saturday slate was officiated.
Both the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins were victims of questionable calls by referees at Highmark Stadium. The critical AFC East matchup effectively was decided on a costly whistle when Miami cornerback Kader Kohou was flagged for pass interference with 45 seconds left to play in the game. With the game tied at 29, the game-changing penalty brought the Bills all the way down to the Dolphins’ 10-yard line where they were easily able to set themselves up for the game-winning field goal.
It’s unclear if the Kohou penalty was the final straw for Edelman, but the former New England Patriots wide receiver was nonetheless miffed by the role officiating played in the divisional showdown.
“Sick and tired of refs deciding games,” Edelman tweeted. “Clean it up Nfl.”
Edelman probably shouldn’t hold his breath for marked improvements in NFL officiating. Such is life in a highly physical sport where a penalty basically can be called on every play.
We’ll wait and see if the Super Bowl LIII MVP is set off by the refs again Sunday when his former team visits the Las Vegas Raiders.
Lol at the last paragraph, Cheats got screwed on the tying td, then screwed themselves seconds later
That last play was absurd. LOL
He pulled a Jr smith JR Smith
Bob Ross of fishing. I thought he was kidding until I watched. lol
Interest snap count observations…

Mostly matchup worthy, Gesicki the real disappointment
I won’t diasagree…
https://phinphanatic.com/2022/12/18/miami-dolphins-tua-tagovailoa-answer-questions-tough-loss/
My biggest take away is Kohou after playing all season on the biggest play of the game still hasn’t figured out how to turn his head around
Was going to say on the first drive, Rams have no chance
3-6 D holding in the EZ way after the play is why
GB has a great record at home the last 20 our so years, it ain’t all on the level
There’s was a court case years ago, the NFLs defense was they’re allowed to officiiiatye games how they want to
Peyton and Eli they just posterized Mac Jones on the last play
I TOLD YOU GUYZ that the Dolphins’ performance would get them lots of
“R-E-S-P-E-C-T.” Well, per Young Stangers’ comments up this page, Colin Cowherd is now among the believers after expressing misgivings about our team for most of the season.
BUT,NOW, we have to seize this opportunity by the throat and win the last 3 games of the regular season. If the Fins go 3-0, a playoff game is guaranteed. This will be a team that NO ONE wants to play, not even in a cold, snowy, game.
THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT?? –A win at home vs. Green Bay on December 25th!!

What can your dem party do for you
No other modern developed country allows this. So many people act like it’s not happening in the USA and it’s okay. The first order of business for any government is to protect your borders and your country. Without that you have nothing.
RB isn’t at the top of our list, a rookie contract one would help though
I’d bring back Mostert and Wilson and be done with it
He possibly goes in the 1st round as RB1. Many mock drafters had us taking him before we traded away our 1st. That was also before we traded for Wilson.
2023 FA Wilson?
With the new TV deal, and no one in the media having a clue yet what the 2023 cap will be, and no idea what FAs of our own we’ll resign, it’s really hard to know what we need, so if all important parts are back I see TE as top priority, unless someone currently on roster can pick up those easy first downs Gesicki hasn’t been
48 Zach Wilson

#1 is the deadspin staff
Unbelievable, that Redskin’s fans are crying about the play they scored a tying td on, that was nullified by illegal formation saying, that the side judge gave a thumbs up, when the WR asked if he was on the line
The moron WR is totally to blame, if he can’t figure out how to line up by now he’s hopeless
I hope we play them again
I do as well. Would mean a playoff win most likely.
They lol on track to go in as the 1 seed
And since we know we will be a wildcard, if we win the first round, we will see them in the 2nd round. The only thing that can stop is of another wildcard goes in and they are a lower seed
So if we go in as the 5th seed and win the first round – we are probably going to face them
But if we go in as a 7th seed and win in first round, we are definitely going to face them
That’s why the way we played last Saturday is a lot more important than the result
We know we can beat them
And they know it too
Agreed.
Surprised Tua is so low.

Not big news but it’s news.
I remember seeing that story starting a couple of weeks ago. I hope it’s BS or that’s not good.
I’ve seen some articles out there calling Josh Boyer out. I really don’t see scheme as the problem. What I’ve been seeing are tackling issues and some costly penalties that change the game. That tells me it’s a talent issue. To me every defender is responsible for their tackling. It’s a mentality. There is only so much you can coach. These guys have been doing tackling drills most of their life. Get the guy on the ground.
Big scheme problem with the constant blitzing leaving our depleted secondary exposed
It actually works and we miss tackles. We’ve also been dropping a lot more guys in coverage and still missing tackles. I’ve seen a WR or RB with maybe a 2-3 yard catch – we have 3 guys on him and he gets through all of them for a 1st down.
But I agree about our depleted secondary. The guys who are playing give great effort but a lot of the time you can see why they’re backups and weren’t highly regarded. We have too many of them playing at the same time because of injuries.
I see us targeting DBs big time in the offseason. Between age and injuries we need an influx of young talent in the secondary.
I don’t think we need DBs and we can’t afford them, but really depends on the guys that are hurt coming back, if Byron comes back we’ll also have Trill, and Needham to go along with X, Iggy and Kohou and one other on IR
I’m not not talking about buying them but drafting and a vet here and there. I don’t think we can count on all of the injured guys.
It’s not a scheme problem it’s a timing problem, he doesn’t seem to know when to call the cover-0
I think there is talent on the Defense, but it is not used well. As for the tackling, it’s coaching. They are being coached to try to strip the ball instead of put the runner on the ground. That leads to yards after contact.
I watched that all weekend by other teams too
Back to situational football, I think many players and coaches don’t understand when to try to strip the ball carrier
Since coaches are included in that, they aren’t teaching the players when to do it
I could be wrong, but that’s what I see
Sometimes players do stupid shit like ending of Cheats vs Raiders game or Redskins at goal line and WR doesn’t line up on LOS, but the strip tackling is too common to think they’ve been taught when to do it
Another thing that bugs me are these DL, that want to get a big hit in on the ball carrier and give him a big shot from behind launching him another 5 yards
Tackling is a basic fundamental of football and specifically defenders. I doubt the coaches are saying just try to strip the ball and don’t worry about tackling. Just like running the ball is a mentality so is tackling.

Someone here was writing about how they thought the O lost this game, I agree for the reasons stated in this article
Situational football is more important than O and D stats
That 4th quarter is when we only ran the ball 30% (or less) of the time when it was working all game. All we needed is one sustained scoring drive when we were up 1 TD and didn’t do it.
That’s on MM, but 4th qtr failures were execution
No one says Allen isn’t getting help from his OC, when he doesn’t get it done
For those who think Chubb isn’t having an impact with only 2 sacks as a dolphin:
8 games before Chubb
Sacks per game – 1.87
Turnovers per game – 0.87
QB Hits per game – 2.12
QB pressures per game – 5.87
—————
6 games after Chubb joined the Dolphins
Sacks per game – 3.33
Turnovers per game – 1
QB Hits per game – 4.83
QB Pressures per game – 14
He commands attention allowing other players to make plays. Phillips had 3 sacks in first 8 games. Since Chubb arrived, he has added 4 more sacks in the last 6 games.
It’s what happens when people just look at stats
It’s not hard to see the difference just watching the game
Look at the difference Hill has made for Waddle, you can’t just measure a stars play by his stats
Agreed.
I have a feeling the last 3 weeks of the season might turn into the Chubb/Phillips/Ingram show
If it is we’ll be flying high
Part of the problem with not running the ball is the D can’t get off the field
When you feel like you must score every time you get the rock, it puts pressure on to throw it
This tells you all you need to know about our corrupt govt, they want to advocate for banning stock trades, but when it comes down to it they just can’t cutoff the hand that feeds them

@cliffWISH8
In a surprising move, the Colts release defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo (3.5 sacks / 6 QB hits).
Odenigbo stepped into a role in Indy, played well, and now gets a chance to potentially help a contender.
Is anything really surprising when it comes to the Colts?
They are looking like the Jets during the Mike T-baum years. lol
I guess I am going to bypass tickets to the Jets/Dolphins game. Ticketmaster fees are just ridiculous. Found some decent seats but after fees and taxes it’s almost $800 for the 2 tickets I wanted. BBM is not a wealthy man. The frugal person I am, I am not going to pull the trigger on this one. If it were a fest, there would be no question about it.
We will just go to a bar in the Keys sporting my Marino throwback jersey and watch the game. Maybe use that money on a fishing charter toward the end of our trip.
M13, We are going to see them while we are down in Key West.
Nice and funky! Almost sounds like a sample from Roy Ayers. Enjoy, BB Mike!
That was in reference to the first vid ya posted, not the second.
I don’t think you change the grade for the D because of the O performance and you don’t excuse the D for poor scheme/play calling/tackling.
The grades are mutually exclusive. The O grade should stand alone, as well. So, should the coaching grade. You deal with or you are graded on the hand your dealt.
I don’t know why we stopped running the ball in the 4th…or so it seemed…you had momentum and it was working….so we went away from it…fail.
You take the points…it would have been a two possession game….that’s on MM, too!
We have lots to learn, balls and all….lol
Win our remaining games and I think we can, and we’re in the playoffs. With 3 to go it’s always good to control your own destiny.
We beat the Pats and Jets and we are in the playoffs. Beating the Packers would be a nice just in case though.
^
Lol….I take no solace in our to the Bills for a fame we could/should have won….
….and I don’t care for moral victory platitudes that it was Buffalo, in their hood, and in their perfect climate conditions
….
We lost and we should not have, imo. Winners win these games and we are not there (yet).
…in our loss…
game, not hame
It’s go time! If you want to make the playoffs, you win your way in. That’s what good teams do.
Yessir!
Maybe, we get some playoff experience.
“I did not believe it for one second.”
— Sean Hannity when asked under oath if he believed claims the 2020 election was stolen.
Why is he being asked this under oath?
Dominion voting machine lawsuit. You go under oath and the truth comes out.
Why is Sean Hannity part of this? He’s a commentator.
Dominion is suing Fox News for defamation, including what was on Hannity’s program.
Okay gotcha!
And the Pelosi’s have very much to do with Dominion voting machines. That’s a fact and all ya need to know.
“CLAIM: Prominent Democrats including Pelosi, Feinstein and the Clinton family have a stake in or a deep relationship with Dominion Voting Systems, the second-largest voting vendor in the U.S., whose equipment was used in several battleground states in the 2020 election.
AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Dominion made a one-time philanthropic commitment at a Clinton Global Initiative meeting in 2014, but the Clinton Foundation has no stake or involvement in Dominion’s operations, the nonprofit confirmed to The Associated Press. A former aide to Pelosi has represented Dominion as a lobbyist, but so have lobbyists who worked for Republicans. Claims that Feinstein’s husband, Richard Blum, holds a stake in Dominion are baseless.”
LMAO! 😆
The Associated Press fact-checked this? Just like they fact-checked the Covid shots? Just like they fact-checked that Zelensky represents Democracy on the world stage? Just like they fact-checked that our Southern border is secure?
Or that the Associated Press fact-checked that we aren’t in a recession? That Russia must have bombed its own NSII pipeline to sabotage itself from profiteering on Europe and EU allies?
*NATO, not EU… though the argument could be made for EU as well.
Lot of other places fact checked as well with similar opinions. You care to put out your source for Pelsi and her husband being heavily involved with Dominion?
Why should I even bother? Your mind is already made up and I’d rather talk about our Phins.
Then don’t bother. You clearly know something the news does not. Was just curious how.
“Three members of the Miami Dolphins are set to be representing their team in the Pro Bowl – wide receiver Tyreek Hill, left tackle Terron Armstead and cornerback Xavien Howard.”
But more to come, and Tua did real well in fan voting.
BB Mike,
Reply to ya above, man. By the way, this is Roy Ayers…
Howard doesn’t deserve the Pro Bowl this season, but he probably did other times and didn’t get it. All good with me
100% agreed.
Howard is rarely targeted. It’s always the other side and midfield. Stats don’t tell the whole story. Howard is also a good tackler unlike others. INTs go down when teams stop challenging you.
X has been challenged a whole lot more this year, even with Byron Jones out. But did seem he was limited by injuries first half of the year.
You’d really hate to see how many yards, TDs, and receptions X has given up this season. IMO, he gets a mulligan for playing through injured groins… but it’s been his worst season as a pro by FAR.
I don’t know, I see Bethel, Kohou, Iggy, Campbell and Crossen targeted more in big spots.
Interesting…
I think regardless of Coach McDaniel’s take here, Gesicki is gone next year.
Don’t recall who said it earlier, but I’m not so sure that TE would be a ‘luxury’ early pick for us in the 2023 Draft. What do I mean by that? George Kittle was a HUGE part of Coach McDaniel’s Offense in San Fran. Kittle was also a 5th round pick, so it’s not so necessary to select a TE so early… but we want a TE who can be our Kittle.
Find that guy and I think Coach will be happy.
MM likes YAC guys. Gesicki is not that. MM is learning this team as we go.
In the event we don’t choose to re-sign the speed of Raheem Mostert, I’d take a very hard look at Texas A&M’s Devon Achane…
I DO want to be very clear about something… I REALLY and STRONGLY suggest we re-sign Raheem Mostert. Why? He’s got tons of tread left on his tires, he’s fast as lightning, he knows the Coach McDaniel Offense very well, and he seems to be finally getting into a groove.
Tim – I’ve seen Howard beaten all season long, the beginning of the season, the middle, and the current. Absolutely untrue that they aren’t targeting the receiver he’s covering, he’s been toasted all season. He’s been late on so many plays, and others the receiver just blew by him. He’s probably still not 100%, maybe not even close, so props for suiting up each week.
Yesterday I was released from the hospital
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Congratulations Piggy…..good to go!
So you watched Saturday’s game from your hospital bed….Dolphin fan to the end? LOL!
Yes I watched in a hospital bed
Way to go Piggs! 🐽💪💥
M13, I like Devon Achane in our offense. He is smallish though.
I like RB Israel Abanikanda 5’11 215 from Pitt in the 3rd round. IMO, he is much like Wilson. He doesn’t have the top end speed but runs with some power and has a quick burst to get through the hole like Wilson. I think he is around a 4.49 guy. He ran for over 1400 yards at 6 ypc with 20 TD’s.

Hannity is just trying not to get wiped out by the lawsuit, he 100% believes and knows it was stolen
And the fraud and cheating continues now with AZ election issues
LMAO!!! Carry on….
Trial finishes up today, so more damning evidence to come out
Best answer for him would have been I did believe. Dominion has to prove that he (and Fox News) knowingly put out false info on the company. So would be weird if he committed perjury to hurt his own case.
The Dolphins’ two highest draft picks this year have played a combined nine snaps of offense and defense.
Third-round linebacker Channing Tindall has logged nine defensive snaps and none since the first half of the Bears game Nov. 6. Meanwhile, fourth round receiver Erik Ezukanma, who caught 10 passes for 156 yards in preseason, hasn’t played in any games.
So what’s going on here? Receivers coach Wes Welker has said veterans are ahead of Ezukanma and noted that he’s backing up Tyreek Hill, who has been healthy all season.
The Dolphins promoted practice squad receiver Braylon Sanders for a second time this season, against Buffalo, instead of Ezukanma because Sanders has more experience in the X position played by River Cracraft, who missed the Bills game with an injury. “Braylon is next guy up at the position,” Welker said. “It’s not fair to say to Erik, ‘now you’re the X.”
So is Ezukanma struggling to grasp the playbook? “Erik’s doing fine. Erik’s doing great,” Welker said. “He’ll keep progressing and he’s going to be a great player for us. He’s getting a good grasp of the offense. There’s a ton of details that go into [the Dolphins’ offense]. It takes a lot of reps and a lot of time. The guys that are playing tend to get a lot of those reps.”
Ezukanma, who plays the Z and F receiver positions, spends most of his time on the scout team “and it’s tough for him to get those reps in practice because of other guys needing those reps. You do a lot of that during training camp. “We have very long play calls” and a lot of details and nuances that receivers must know. And “if they are not on point with the quarterback, there’s too much of a pass rush to be off point even a little bit,” Welker said. “There was a time it was hard [for Ezukanma] to even line up. Now he’s lining up right. Erik will get there.”
Welker also noted the steep learning curve in moving from Texas Tech’s spread offense to an NFL offense. “I came from that offense,” Welker said, noting he had no receptions as a rookie. So what gives Welker hope that Ezukanma can be a good NFL receiver? “He has the strength, the size, the hands, the speed we really like in our receivers,” he said. “I look forward to really working with him [next offseason]. It’s nothing we’re really worried about.”
As for Tindall, defensive coordinator Josh Boyer said he’s not playing because he “has veteran players in front of him that know and understand the defense a little better than he does. He runs well, he’s a physical player, tackles well. We’re encouraged by that.” Tindall has played 135 snaps on special teams.

Dolphins coaches seem eager to see Liam Eichenberg, who missed the past six games with a knee injury. He’s practicing and likely will come off injured reserve in the coming days. Rob Jones has played left guard in his place.
Offensive coordinator Frank Smith said Eichenberg’s pass protection was at a high level before his injury. “We saw great growth,” Smith said. How was Eichenberg as a run blocker? Offensive line coach Matt Applebaum didn’t answer directly but said “Liam has the skill set to excel in all things we’re asking him to do. I don’t see anything he can’t accomplish within our scheme.”
Per SI.com, the Dolphins have passed eight times on 3rd and 1 and converted only one of them; they were 0 for 2 on converting passes on 3rd and 1 against Buffalo. Conversely, Miami converted its only third and one rushing attempt against Buffalo and has converted 7 of 11 third and 1 runs this season.
Asked about the failed third and 1 passes against Buffalo, Smith said: “We felt opportunities presented for throwing the ball, advantageous looks to throw it. We didn’t exactly get what we thought would play out on those plays.”
Did Mike McDaniel second-guess himself after the game for those failed third and ones? “Mike doesn’t normally second guess himself,” Smith said. “He’s confident in the decisions he makes. If you’re driven only by results, you’re going to be miserable every day.”

Ummm, HELLO…
Pretty obvious where the problem is, right?
Awesome that you are out Pig. Did you have to have the surgery?
Avoided surgery thank god
Let me know if you want to talk with Warren. He’s been dealing with the same for a number of years. Flares up and then not much till flares up again. But he’s adjusted his lifestyle because of it.
Wow stangerx….must not have been on the thread…too bad
I guess single man by the CBs combined with two safeties deep means both Waddle and Hill are double covered. Has to be a way to take advantage of that.
———————————-
“Welker noted this week that teams are playing cornerbacks in man coverage with two deep safeties.
“Nobody does that. You don’t see that.””
This is where we need to use TEs and RBs more in the passing game
What TEs?
Good news Piggy
Go Jags!

Beat of luck Y’ALL
Tyreek Hill has made his 7th consecutive pro bowl since his rookie season. It’s the 2nd longest streak behind only Aaron Donald.
Welcome to out patient status piggy
With the jets playing and them being relevant it almost feels like game days
Points are down this year compared to last year
What did we here the reason pts were up last year? Less holding calls
NFL manipulates games, plain and simple
Injuries were rampant across the league.
Hey Mike E. still hate that rule ?? 🤡
Google gets the contract to distribute Sunday Ticket. Next year out of market games will be available on Youtube Primetime Channels and Youtube TV
https://www.npr.org/2022/12/22/1145025417/nfl-sunday-ticket-youtube-directv#:~:text=The%20NFL%20announced%20a%20multiyear,been%20on%20DirecTV%20since%201994.
So humor me… does this mean your cable companies won’t be able to offer it through their services ? And if you want to watch basically have to cast the video stream to a TV ?? As you can tell not a real Tekkie
And can you have more than one game at a time streaming ??
No idea, Toba.
Not sure how it works in Canada, but it probably won’t be available through any cable companies. Smart TVs you can add the youtube app to the tv and get youtube primetime channels, so you wouldn’t have to cast.
They haven’t announced any details yet on what’ll be available, so no idea if you’ll be able to stream concurrently from the same account on different devices. Sure hope so; like you, I love having multiple games up.
Thank you for the input sir… TNF is available on TSN (I have TSN 1-5) we also have an Amazon account , but cannot find a stream or their feed of the game .. cable company only stopped Sunday ticket that one year they tried DAZN, which sucked balls .. I hear it has improved but not a fan of moving from cable … especially we have 7 cable boxes in the house … time will tell 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Streaming just like on Prime tonight
I pay for ESPN+ Hulu and Disney+ and stream everything, pay $12.99 a month, get local channels + some cable free another way
We also have Disney as well..
My cable internet bill is 300.00 a month during NFL season, drops 50.00 off season .. it does include WWE network , Timeshift, HBO , Crave , movie channels.. so you pay a TOTAL 12.99 for cable/internet ?
Wilson looks terrible. Sure hope we face him in week 18, although White should be back by then.
I can’t believe Flacco is still on bench, Wilson blows
And here’s Streveler.. fans what they wanted
Man I hate him playing for the Jets .. I find myself Cheering for him
FEELING PRETTY GOOD about Jax leading the Jets 13-3 at the half. I’m also confident that Cincy will beat the Belicheats in balmy Foxboro.
—————————
I’VE ALREADY told Mrs. OD to ask Santa to bring me a Dolphins victory over Green Bay on Christmas Day! She said she’ll bring me more than that. HMMM.
————————–
SO GLAD you are out of the hospital, Piggy!!
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME DOLPHINS FOOTBALL?!?!!
————————–
I’ve gotta rest-up and get ready to celebrate on Sunday.
The Old Dolfan is OUT for tonight.
Merry Christmas buddy, all the best
Jags playing like we have in past
I can see jets winning 17-16
Toba, is Streveler the guy we had from the CFL?
Yep , won a Grey Cup for the Bombers
Backed up in Zona for 2-3 years , we had him in PS
Thought so, he’s a gamer.
That he is, but his style of play does not bode well for a long term career
Zach Wilson will be running home to mommy
He’s toast, he’s out of the league sooner than later.
He is done. What a horrible draft pick. I knew it. He was coming off the Covid year from BYU when they played no one
I’ll give him a ride
I’ve seen his mom
They don’t call the holding in the EZ, but they’ll call the facemask, by guy being held
J-E-T-S
New meaning to football
Looks like it’s over for jests
Tenn without Tannehill is going down week 18 in Jacksonville
Jags play Texans next week, looking at a division title
