I’m still trying to figure out how Goodell constantly trumps the U.S. Constitution. LOL
————
Here’s a mere beginner’s guide…
Kaepernick was black balled by the populous not the NFL. Who gives the NFL money? It’s no different than when a person does something working for a corporation that turns off customers. That person must go.
That says nothing about the constitution. Troy Vincent is also part of the equation when it come to ethics in the game. Goodell does nothing on his own. You just don’t like the guy so you’re bias.
Didn’t add in what MA told me later. She was at a table of 6 right behind us so to speak and they were all turned around and watching at least the body motion intently. I’m sure she wanted to do whatever, but also guessing she was showing off for the girls. Also guessing our reaction wasn’t relayed back in all sincerity.

You just proved my point!
His actions protected from government censorship. The Constitution doesn’t protect against private restrictions on expression. It’s not in the constitution. It just isn’t. Your employer can control your speech. Mine does it on a regular basis. And while the government grants you freedom of expression you are not free from repercussions from your freedom of expression. Also Kaep had legal recourse. He filed a lawsuit and obtained a settlement

Explain what is unconstitutional about that. I mean do you believe government should regulate how businesses operates?
M13, you being a guy on the right aisle of politics should know how free market capitalism works. A lot of the stuff you’re saying is bleeding heart liberal jargon. It has nothing to do with the constitution.
It wasn’t the NFL either, it was the consumer/fans who were ready to boycott the NFL if it continued. Kaepernick was hurting the product/the NFL brand. That’s how the free market works. 😉
Look, Goodell is running his own little kingdom in the NFL. Even when the LAW finds someone innocent, Goodell feels the need to prosecute… END OF STORY.
Tim has been persistent over the last couple of days to understand what I meant… now you have it.
I’m happy to move on and I don’t really care what anybody has to say about it.
That’s not what Goodell is doing. He refers to many other people on issues. His sole purpose is to grow the league and the brand and make the owners money. Just like a CEO. He’s succeeded at that.

Yes I understood the entire time. So does the leftist Ken. M13 forced Ken to lean to the right as he went left. WTF is going on? LOL

😆
Uh…it’s a kingdom of 32 oligarchs who have appointed a representative, a commissioner, if you will, to rep them…they have player representatiom and make agreements, including sharing revenue….it’s an elite club, for sure
The consumer can control that just like voters can control term limits. They just don’t do it because they like their comfiness. Most people are not for the better good. They’re for what effects them in the best way.
Mf13…it’s a false equivalent comparing the NFL v monopolies/conglomerates…..I have a 32 person club where I hire players that will entertain and make money for me…it is not ATT, Twitter, Tesla, GM, etc….it’s just not.
SFBJ – I’ve lost Constitutional IQ catching up on the blog. Ken – you MAGA fuck – CAPITULATE! Mary and Joseph – Krishna is the fucking voice of reason!
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald is expecting Dolphins and Tua will agree for him to wear a more protective helmet and he will move forward as 2023 starter. There’s clearly no better realistic multiyear alternative and nobody moves on from a QB who has this type of production
There’s a good chance Tua Tagovailoa will end 2022 season ranked #1 in the NFL in passer rating, #1 in red zone passer rating and #1 in third down passer rating. Tua has the highest career passer rating in Dolphins history. If healthy he clearly should be Miami’s ‘23 starter.
Fun fact: if Tua holds that spot, he’ll be the youngest QB to lead the league in passer rating since 1985 and one of five QBs under the age of 25 to lead the league in passer rating in the Super Bowl era.

Piggy in contemplation mode. Notice the slight look of trepidation and the grimace.
You know, we don’t tolerate racism or ethnic slurs on here UK. The Italians really do not like being called Guinea’s. It is offensive. Even if they are pigs….
If Dan Marino played today he’d rewrite every goddamn passing record in the book. The man passed for 5000 yards in 1984. That’s at least 6500 yards today if not more. Truth.
If there’s ever been a close game we lose and it’s a moral victory, this one would be it, considering Tua’s situation
I’d really like to have a QB competition next year with Tua and Skylar, meaning Skylar takes off the training wheels and either beats Buffalo or scares the hell out of them
Agree. If we gameplan to dink and dunk, trying not to give up a t/o, Skylar will make unintended mistakes eventually. He also snaps the ball really late on the play clock and holds onto it, due to processing slower than Tua, who now looks like a savant in comparison with his quick reads/throws. That lets the pass rush get there more often.
We have receivers who can scare DBs. Our running attack is less potent without Mostert. Skylar is going to have to make Buffalo fear our passing game. He can’t do that with one arm tied behind his back and half a playbook. I get he can’t make all the throws Tua can, but we have a punchers chance in this tie. Let’s at least take to land a few haymakers. If we don’t connect, we don’t connect. At least we lose with no regrets.

https://www.thesportster.com/nfl-commissioner-roger-goodell-controversial-decisions/
None has anything to do with the Constitution
Yup, you’re right!
I then assume you’ve got no problem with Colin Kap being ‘black-balled’ by the NFL for his freedom of expression, right?
Again what happened to Kaep had nothing to do with the Constitution. Freedom of expression protects against government censorship
Kaepernick was black balled by the populous not the NFL. Who gives the NFL money? It’s no different than when a person does something working for a corporation that turns off customers. That person must go.

Nice try, try again.
You’re losing, bro. Because you reach and don’t understand.
Lol stangerx…that’s hilarious…and pretty cool…
Didn’t add in what MA told me later. She was at a table of 6 right behind us so to speak and they were all turned around and watching at least the body motion intently. I’m sure she wanted to do whatever, but also guessing she was showing off for the girls. Also guessing our reaction wasn’t relayed back in all sincerity.
Lol….
I do think Skyler needs to play balls to the wall, but he needs to be careful….that’s the inexperience I’m concerned about.
Throwing 3 picks to covered guys v tight windows against the Bills D will be challenging. Don’t fuck up.
…and, hope the other 2 units do their part.
They need to open up the game plan more than they did last week. You won’t beat Buffalo by scoring 11 points
The last thing about Tua, his future decisions are his to make….he will/should do what he wants with his body…period.
We all have that right?
I totally agree with ya on this, Krishna.

So Goodell did not trump the Constitution. Glad you agree
LOL
Goodell can punish, even though one’s actions are protected by the Constitution? Are we on the same planet, my Bro?
His actions protected from government censorship. The Constitution doesn’t protect against private restrictions on expression. It’s not in the constitution. It just isn’t. Your employer can control your speech. Mine does it on a regular basis. And while the government grants you freedom of expression you are not free from repercussions from your freedom of expression. Well, it wasn’t government censorship to be clear…
It’s a 32 member billionaires’ club….with a player’s union.
This is true… it’s the ‘good ol’ boys’ club.
Yep
Play by THEIR rules, or get ousted. That’s not constitutional.
Always has been…
Mf13….I’m not sure how members’ club equates to government censorship….you’ve lost me.

I’d predicted someone (on the left) was going to bring this up! You didn’t like it then, but you hella like it now.
BE CONSISTENT in your beliefs, instead of playing political football.
Oh I am consistent. I don’t mind some government regulation. What I am trying to figure out is your position
M13, you being a guy on the right aisle of politics should know how free market capitalism works. A lot of the stuff you’re saying is bleeding heart liberal jargon. It has nothing to do with the constitution.
I’m merely playing the left side to get them to realize that they are only playing cheerleaders… without understanding the world.
I don’t think anyone is going to buy that one for even a dollar.
The fuck you are..lmao
There is no doubt in my mind Kapernick was black-balled….for his beliefs…he took a chance, thought it was the right thing to do and it turned out bad.
Again, not sure how this equates to government censorship or the Constitution.
Owners are selling entertainment…Kapernick’s protests were not entertaining…..wrong forum, whatever
It wasn’t the NFL either, it was the consumer/fans who were ready to boycott the NFL if it continued. Kaepernick was hurting the product/the NFL brand. That’s how the free market works. 😉
You know what I was trying to say…thank you
Yes I understood the entire time. So does the leftist Ken. M13 forced Ken to lean to the right as he went left. WTF is going on? LOL
I challenged your position on this MF13…and I don’t do left and right…lol
You and I agree on a lot in all actuality. While I’m not fond of Kap AT ALL, there is the argument to be made that his #1A was violated.

There is much not to like about Goodell and yes he has a fiefdom but there is nothing about that is unconstitutional or unlawful
That’s your opinion and I respect as much. I just fundamentally disagree.
It is an opinion with years of practice in constitutional law
As I stated, I DO respect your opinion, Bro! 🙂
Uh…it’s a kingdom of 32 oligarchs who have appointed a representative, a commissioner, if you will, to rep them…they have player representatiom and make agreements, including sharing revenue….it’s an elite club, for sure
Agreed.
Yes. The way of the world.
I’m a capitalist, to be sure. However, UNCHECKED capitalism (like anything else left unchecked) will destroy.
We must end the monopolies/conglomerations that are happening. It all ends with 1 person ruling it all… NOT GOOD!
The consumer can control that just like voters can control term limits. They just don’t do it because they like their comfiness. Most people are not for the better good. They’re for what effects them in the best way.

What do you mean he can’t make all the throws? His arm is stronger than Tua’s
He doesn’t trust his eyes enough to let’er rip
Try not to take too much from jets game, he was likely told to not lose, don’t take chances
