Gonna be interesting who we re-sign on D front 7, Ingram is a must for me, would like to see Flowers back too, and maybe AVG
2 in a row on page turn
Yeah, man! I’m with ya on Ingram, so long as it’s cap-friendly. He was hot at the beginning of the year, fell off mid-season, then came on relatively strong at the end of the season. His leadership is valuable, IMO.
He’s no spring chicken any longer, but he’s an asset who can still get it done.
Flores started bad finished good, owned cheats, couldn’t get close to Bills, and players hated him
MM seems to be streaky, plays Bills tough and players love him
Well one news agency (Sportsnaut) suggests last 4 games D were worse….just saying. Perhaps there’s a better source. Just another note, the last 4 games, except Bills, were against inferior teams…
Miami Dolphins defense (Weeks 10-13): 196.3 pass ypg allowed, 82.3 QB rating, 12 sacks, 89.7 rush ypg allowed, 3.7 ypc, 34.1% third-down conversion rate.
Miami Dolphins defense (Week 14-17): 260.3 pass ypg allowed, 100.2 QB rating, 8-1 TD-INT, 96.8 rush ypg allowed, 40.7% third-down conversion rate.
..D was worse..
Now imagine a healthy Bradley Chubb and Emmanuel Ogbah, coupled with Jaelan Phillips and Melvin Ingram…
… and with a healthy Secondary! 😀
BB Mike,
Hey, Bro… football and music are my great escapes in this crazy world we live in. I stay up on politics 24/7, but there are times I’ve got to shut it off/down before I go loco en la cabeza: I damn near flipped out at work the other day after politics were brought up, and that’s not like me in the least.
I was wondering if you play any musical instruments. It’s never too late to pick one up, learn it somewhat, and allow your mind to wander as you play it… it’s cathartic, truly.
And of course, we’ve got a LOT OF WORK TO DO figuring out this ’23 Draft class! I find that to be rather cathartic as well… keeping my mind focused on something I’m most passionate about and think I’m at least ‘fairly’ decent at? LOL 😉
Keep your head up, my guy… we’ve got you (your 6)!
#Respect
3 Bengal dumbasses running behind the fumble recoverer celebrating, like Wilkins does instead of blocking, Andrews almost ran him down, one Bengal pushed Andrews in back, could’ve been called
Good game by the team. Lots of mistakes by the O and McD. McD is terrible at time management, and I hope he gets better next year. We were so close yet again and hopefully Tua comes back with a passion to prove the doubters wrong…because they will be back.
Not a bad way to end the season but we were so close all year to being a good team…and I still think we aren’t. So many areas need improvement, but I think the top one is coaching. The penalties, game management, and game plans must be better next year if we expect to be back.
Talk about clock mismanagement wtf are the Ravens doing?
No shit
They didn’t want to leave any time left for Cin, if Ravens had scored, then holding occurred and messed it up, but I agree retarded
Harbaugh is very unconventional and arrogant, he tries to do things his way
When you are behind you can’t play like that. You gotta get the points and by doing that they deprived themselves of being able to run
Like I mentioned retarded, but that’s Harbaugh at times, not the first time one of his whackjob decisions helped eliminate them
With all the game mismanagement, it just dawned on me how big that FG at the end of the second half was. We gave three points back in about 30 seconds.
That’s what Harbaugh was just trying to avoid
Biggest play of the game, they allowed Cin to block in the back on Fumble return, but officiating crew doesn’t influence games
We only gave up 80 points in weeks 14-17 compared to 88 in weeks 10-13. Obviously 80 is better than 88. I’ll take scoring as the first metric when considering how to rank a defense.
Browns and Texans were in the week 10-13 group, and we only gave up 17 and 15 respectively to those teams. I didn’t add those games to the list of of good defensive games. Glad that was pointed out. That brings the total number of good defensive games up.
168 points over the last 8 games is an average of 21 points a game which is top half of the league in defense overall. I hadn’t done a dive into the numbers and didn’t realize our numbers were that decent 2nd half of the season even with all the secondary injuries.
I would give Boyer another year, but I won’t be sad or call the team out if they let him go. I’d be totally fine if we signed a guy like Fangio.
I meant the first half above
Deny permission
I don’t think you can if it’s an elevated position. Not sure on that though
I know. I just hate the thought of the Jets getting anyone from our team that may help them.
It doesn’t mean Bevell accepts the job either, he may prefer to stay here.
Did anyone notice Romo was a Bills’ ball licker on the broadcast yesterday for the entire game….really pissed me off….and thought he was much better at being neutral and giving insight…
…I thought his “insight” on Bills 1st possession of 2nd half about ‘now Allen will blow up the Dolphins and take over,’ led to crushing blow by Rowe and a Sieler TD….
FUCK YOU, ROMO….LMAO!
I’ve been thinking. It doesn’t really mean much that the Dolphins have said Tua is our QB next season. Things could change so easily, medical professionals could tell Tua not to play anymore, Tua may decide on his own he doesn’t want to play. I’m not hoping for any of that, just saying how easily things could change.
well that was disappointing. The effed up part is the Dolphins did about as well record wise as I anticipated and did better by getting into the playoffs than I thought they would. I was very upset with the WR’s dropping perfectly thrown passes yesterday.
The offense played well at times yesterday, but they weren’t in sync most of the game.
Krishna, yeah, I found the commentators to be too “Pro-bills” in their comments and the excitement they showed in good Bills plays while they showed “concern” for Pro-Dolphins” plays. It was annoying as hell.

lol, Krishna. Romo truly was a Bills ball licker yesterday. Like you said, it was all freakin’ game. I couldn’t believe on our last drive he said something along the lines of ‘the Bills season can’t end this way.’
My feelings on Skylar summed up:
Going to be interesting to see what happens with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Will the Ravens blink first and give him the 5 years guaranteed he wants? Do they franchise him this year? Let him walk?
The situation got pretty ugly this week. I am starting to think he may not be back
Yeah, I was just reading the latest veiled shot.
I think they tag and trade him . Cleveland really screwed teams moving forward by fully guaranteeing Watsons contract.
Yeah, tag and trade is what I should have said, they aren’t going to just let him walk.
Wyo,
Per your list, what about Gesicki? I think maybe over the last three weeks they figured out how to use him. If that route up the seam doesn’t get deflected that may go for a TD and put us up 31-20. At the very least, we have to tag him and trade him. Can’t let a second round pick walk for nothing.
I think he is likely not coming back. Not sure if it’s a tag and trade or they just let him walk. With a healthy Tua our offense is geared around the WRs
Gotta save money somewhere!
If your not going to use him let him walk for comps or like Ken said do a sign and trade.
I am still baffled as to why they didn’t trade him before the deadline
No surprise CJ Stroud just declared himself for the draft
If Lamar walks where does he go? Jets? Saints? Panthers?
Walmart!
Expansion team
He’s not walking. They will do a tag and trade .
Tag and trade would eliminate the Saints
They can’t just let him walk. It would be utter stupidity.
QB offseason: I presume the Giants resign Jones. I believe the Seahawks resign Geno but Seahawks do have a high draft pick so there’s a chance Geno is not back. I believe Purdy has made Jimmy G expendable in SF. Lamar is possibly on the move as well
I agree with all of this
OMG, this dude summed up our blog from yesterday. LMAO!
😂
🤣
That did sum it up
LOL
That sums it up pretty well
Lmao…
That’s not a great stat
That is what was so frustrating about the season.
That is a stat you sometimes see with teams that dramatically improve their total wins the following season
My hope is Lamar, Geno and drafted QBs force Jimmy G’s options to back up positions. He would be the ideal backup in Miami imo.

The dolphins would’ve won if Mike McDaniel wasn’t high off a vape pen causing delay of game flags getting the calls in
The video didn’t post- but McDaniel appeared to be vaping
Maybe someone a little more tech savvy can post
It was posted on the last page. But I’ll help you out. 😁
Thanks Herd!

Nah, it was probably just a regular vape . Just gives the critics ammo.

Except, you cannot just tag and trade someone. He MUST sign the tag which he doesn’t have to do. He will have input into where they trade him at a minimum.
That youtube vid up the page nailed it LOL.
What is happening?
WHAT IS HAPPENING??!!
LOL
BBM, that Fins/Bills fans reaction video was a riot!!!
I am still waiting to see what the leagues punishment will be to Tom Brady WHO FUCKING TAMPERED WITH THE MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!
IT GOES BOTH WAYS MAN!
LOL, this is a tweet from the wife of Bills player, Morse, who was the one who got into it with Wilkins defending Josh Allen from a legal block.
🤣🤣
twitter is so fucking clueless. That was an egregious call. Off-setting? BULL SHIT! It was a live game on an interception. Wilkins was fully within his rights to plant Allen on his ass HARD, full body slam, and it would not be a penalty. This was a 15 yard penalty against the Bills and bills only.
100%
Completely agree…I was yelling at the TV that Allen was a pussy and this is football, he should have knocked your ass on the ground! Lol!
Classically good. 🙂
We have NO NONE ZIP NADA running backs signed for this coming season. Worse we only have 38 players under contract and are already 10M over the projected cap. IF we pay MINIMUM to the rest of the players we need to make up the 53 we would be 23m over the cap.
Grier fucking it up good. He will push 10’s of millions down the road by restructuring our biggest contracts, but shit that doesn’t help us two years from now when the cap hit comes back to hit us again!
I keep reading headlines about the horrible clock management by Harbaugh in the Ravens game. I missed the end of the game, so I missed what happened.
After 2 minute warning they huddled up a couple of times despite being at or around the 45 and still needed a TD to tie. It was pure stupidity
Cheers, I was too lazy (or perhpas didn’t care enough) to actually read any of the articles to find out what he did, lol.

Howard, one of the league’s best cornerbacks from 2017 through 2021, allowed a 121.1 passer rating in his coverage area this season — second worst among players targeted at least 60 times.
Next season is a step back season, the following, reset again. New GM, new coach, etc, etc.
I am very encouraged by the Bills game, even if it was a loss.
I believe we have a lot of talent on this team and a very good mindset.
I think McDaniel is a great young coach to build a team.
I think all of your comments were spot on;
even when two of you disagreed, I thought both of you were correct.
I do think our HC needs to fix the delay on play calls getting in.
I think he will.

Rock,
I hear you, but he will eventually sign if they tag him. He’s not going to sit out a year. He’ll sign it with the intention of being traded if it comes to that
A lil’ something to cheer us up today…
Tyreek Hill Top Plays of the 2022 Season
I wonder if Mathew Stafford will retire this off-season….
Before too much longer, we will be faced with the decision of exercising our 5th-year options on Tua, Austin Jackson, and Iggy.
Barring a sudden retirement, Tua is a no-brainer: a 5th-year option. As for Jackson, I’d say no. As for Iggy, I’d say HELL NO!
Sufficed to say — and after 3 years now — Jackson and Iggy are likely Draft busts. Seems we managed to squander two 1st round picks in 2020, at least IMO. Cutting them and their 1st round contracts will save us some $$$ in 2023.
I think it really sucks that Iggy hasn’t panned out, as he was supposed to be the heir to either X or Byron with their very hefty contracts.
X has regressed (remember he’s got bad knees to begin with) and who knows what will happen with Byron after a ‘no-show’ this past season.
Speaking of Draft busts, Hunter Long has 1 mere catch for us in 2 seasons (0 this past season). And no, he’s not a superior blocker, either.
And speaking of superior blockers, both Trent Sherfield and River Cracraft are GREAT at blocking, helping to spring Da’ Cheetah and Da’ Penguin.
not spam maybe
2 GUYS I had my eyes upon in this past Draft in the later rounds I wish we’d drafted…
— RB Tyler Allgeier (R5, 151 overall)
— LB Malcolm Rodriguez (R6, 188 overall)
Sorry for the random posts, I’m just conducting an autopsy on our ’22 season and trying to figure the pros and the cons, the $$$ (cap), and providing for the future. I’ll check on one matter and sometimes find something completely unrelated.
Regarding the ’23 NFL Draft, I’ve gotta think CB and TE are at the top of our priority list, in no particular order. Can’t see us making any big splash FA signings due to our cap situation.
When I say CB, I’m talking boundary CB (future starter). Darth Kader is a rising star as our nickel CB.
Again, we had hopes that Iggy would be that guy… he’s not.
GM Chris Grier and HC Mike McDaniel end of season press conference thread starts here
2:30 PM · Jan 16, 2023
@WingfieldNFL
Byron did everything he could to try and play, Grier says of the MIA CB.
@WingfieldNFL
“Tua is our QB.” — Chris Grier.
Says they full expect him back next year ready to go.
@WingfieldNFL
Chris Grier tells a story about a player working out on the field, in the dark at 6:45 last week. They couldn’t figure out who it was… turned out it was Christian Wilkins.
@WingfieldNFL
Grier says it was a successful season, but not satisfied. Says he was proud of the way the team competed in a tough environment yesterday against a team that has that playoff experience.
@WingfieldNFL
Austin Jackson and Liam Eichenberg are part of the plan, Grier says. He mentioned Jackson was a guy they were talking about all summer before the unfortunate injury.
He also mentions it’ll be the first time for a lot of these guys playing in the same offense for 2 years straight
@WingfieldNFL
I think you wind up living with regret if you make any decisions emotionally. — McDaniel on decisions regarding staff evaluation. Says just 24 hours ago they had a lead in a playoff game; those next steps are a process.
@WingfieldNFL
Grier says per their doctors and the NFL appointed doctors that have communicated with them that Tua is not any-more susceptible to concussions than anybody else.
Grier also tells us that Tua’s helmet this season is one of the top-rated helmets from a helmet safety standpoint.
@WingfieldNFL
McDaniel says, like a QB who hasn’t worked on sliding before, they do intend to work with Tua in the way he falls to the ground.
@WingfieldNFL
McDaniel on the defense — they found their best in a place of adversity. He said he’s very proud of the way the defense finished the season.
Very informative… thanks, Wyoming!
The hole thing about “playoff experience” is bullshit in my opinion. The game is played the exact same way. Being in the playoffs doesn’t change it at all. Every game is one and done if you look at it one game at a time
“At least they got playoff experience” there is no benefit in my opinion.
Whole
I wish Tindall had climbed his way up. My fear is he lacks the instinct to progress into a fulltime starter. I know he was just a rookie, but.
Looking forward to see what he brings next year along with LB Cameron Goode.
I’ve got high hopes for Tindall as well. Like EZ-E, we brought them both along slowly. I’d expect some positive noise next season from both.
We may not have to replace certain FA LB’s. I would like to see Riley back though.
Love Riley, and I hope we bring back Elandon Roberts as well.
After watching great LB play yesterday. I’m in the mood for a big upgrade!

The whole offense with Tua in there is just different. On most plays he has a designated first read that he throws to if it is there with his quick release. And he’s not throwing to a player…. he’s throwing to a spot. The guy who is supposed to catch it hasn’t even made his break yet when he releases on everything but a go route.
If the coverage isn’t right for it, he reqroups and goes through his other reads and finds someone open if he can.
Bridgewater and Skylar just look for the open guy. Makes a world of difference and even with full time with the first team the other two couldn’t do it like Tua does.
Yeah I’m saying Tua is critical to this offense. Bring in another QB and chances are you need a different O scheme.
I agree with ya, Stanger.
Do you remember when Tua was going all OCD about getting the precise length of his drop backs right? That is why. His throws weren’t to a guy he could see….. had to be the exact right distance.
M13, Thinking 2nd or 3rd round CB’s. Garrett Williams is not a ballhawk but I like the way he plays and tackles well.
I also like your PSU guy Joey Porter, Jr. He has good size also.
Thanks and yessir, I think we’re looking CB as early as our 1st pick (2nd round as it stands) in the ’23 Draft.
Hasn’t that been offseason headline news for like 8 years in a row now?
I have to be a homer on this guy. Illinois CB Devon Witherspoon from PENSACOLA, FL. Kid can lay the wood!

——–
I do. A lot of that is based on our Offensive system (WCO), coupled with Tua’s traits. You are correct!
Timing may be the biggest staple of the WCO.
And yes, that also applies to the running game.
And if the timing of that complex Tua watch is off — bad things happen. We saw that against the Chargers and Niners. No concussion stuff in those games.
Yes and no. What I mean is that both teams (Chargers and Niners) chose to clog the middle of the field passing lanes, which was Tua’s bread-n-butter.
I don’t believe it was a timing issue, rather a strategic adjustment to take Tua’s cake away.
I’m gonna go with clogging the middle of the field took away those timing patterns to the middle of the field. After that Tua had to figure it out for himself. I’m sure you know what his stats were like for those games.
I’d say both of you are correct, timing and taking away bread and butter
We bitch about MM not making in game adjustments, well Tua needs to figure out his own in game adjustments
Did he actually say that or is that fan bashing?
Are you serious Clark
Just someone being funny.
Susceptible to concussions v body’s secondary, tertiary, multiplying responses to multiple concussions….
….in my mind, this is the real issue from a health care perspective…
….this is an “innate” function of the human body…
To Grier, if Tua is your plan, what is your backup plan?
Skylar
To MM, you’re going teach him to slide? Ok
To MM, if Boyer is back to “build” on what he did last year, so be it…with a healthy unit, you better be a top 10 D next year, no fucking excuses….lol
To Grier, so you’re not going to fix the OL, MM will teach Tua to slide…lol
Tua just needs neck control, the rest of us figured it out at 1-2 months old
Just heard something new from a QB running out of play clock, so Brady says hurry, hurry, that they all say to signify time is running out, then he says go and ball was snapped just in time
Different than go, go Tannehill used to say
Response to Stanger above on Tua hitting his first read, even before they break
This offense was designed for Tua, Skylar and Betty don’t have that skill, it was similar to Tua rookie year playing in O designed for Fitz
Absolutely retarded clock management by Tampa, with a little under 2 minutes left in half TB calls TO to stop the clock after a Dallas short gain around midfield…Dallas got a td on the drive aided some by that TO
MM likes to call those arrogant TOs, as if Fins are going to get them to punt, but even if you do you’ll get ball back on your about 10 with 1.5 minutes left and no TOs
Cowboys have 3 TDs and only 18 points?
Just tuned in and I had to look that up. Cowboys kicker is 0-3 on extra points…at home…in a dome…lol
And they’ve all been ugly
And now a 4th miss
lol, incredible
I predict Brady goes to a new team next year and it turns into Russell Wilson in Denver, so media will pick that team to win their division, but they’ll finish last, then he retires
He should go back to the patriots and plan to retire as a patriot
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY, FAU’s mens basketball team was ranked #24 in today’s poll that was released earlier in the day. But on tonight’s docket was an FAU away game at Western Kentucky, where their luck has seldom been good. FAU’s Russian Center, all 7 feet of him, was dwarfed by the Hilltoppers’ 7′ 5″ giant — a truly imposing figure!!
No problem. The Owls pulled away in the second half and cruised to a 76-62 win, and they made it look easy. The game was televised live on ESPNU. It was FAU’s 17th consecutive win and, like most of the others, it was decided by double figures.
FAU has never won a game in March Madness. They lost a nail biter to Alabama in 2002 in their only appearance. This team, however, is MUCH BETTER than that team that lost to the Crimson Tide. They have speed, rebounding, and balanced scoring. And they have a much better head coach in young Rusty May, a former assistant at Florida. So I’ll be disappointed if they don’t win at least one game in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Orlando will be one of the sites for the opening rounds of March Madness. If the Owls are assigned that regional, I WILL BE THERE!!
Brady SUCKS tonight, yet Suzie Kolber and the rest of the ESPN idiots still think he can do it ( at half)
WONDER WHAT Suzie Kolber thinks Tom Brady can do???
This kicker may have ended his career tonight.
Lol at may
This game has the makings of Brady’s last game
Tell em to fuckoff
Why would the GOAT QB (arguably) give up his wife, family, and home with all that wealth to play another season after he promised his wife and everyone he was quitting?
To become the GOAT at fucking up?
LMAO….
You would hope as a Dolphins fan that this Brady to Miami shit would end right here, and that’s all I care about.
I never want to see him here….lol. That would be the ultimate “loser” mentality, in my mind.
You play to beat your competition, not get in bed with them….lol.
MR Ball Hawk
If Brady had been our back up, we would be playing next weekend.
So if Brady is willing to come here and allow Tua to be the starter, and be his backup, I’d have no problem with that. I can’t tolerate Brady being the starter with a healthy Tua
I’m sure that would’ve gone over real well with him. Tom we’ve got a great deal for you, how about you sign with the Fins in 2022 for 5M to be our backup QB
If Tua wasn’t concussed, we would be playing next weekend….
If we had won more than one game in the last 6….
If….
We have 40% of an O line….
IF, we even had 60% we may be playing next week…
IF, we had 80% O line we may be going further…
IF, we had 100% O line we may be super bowl bound…
I’m thinking we’re playing 2 tough divisions in 2023 AFC West and NFC East
Let’s see how the schedule makers bend us over
At LAC on Sunday night, then the Chiefs the following week on Thursday night for starters
LOL, Though I shouldn’t laugh because that is exactly what will happen
If last year is an indication

MR Ball Hawk
——————————
Absolutely would love to have Forbes!!! I posted about him back in mid-season to let M13 know about him. Not just a BALLHAWK but a very good shutdown boundary corner.
Unfortunately, I think he played his way into the 1st round of the draft. If he is there in the second round, I may even trade up to get him. He may fall depending on his 40 time. It was said he is not that fast. I still think he runs in the 4.4’s and not close to 4.5 that has been reported. He has great body control and quick acceleration that helps him close on the ball and make up for any lack of speed to go along with good instincts. He is dangerous with the ball in his hands and can also return kicks.
My hope is that many CB’s declare for the draft early. This draft class has the potential to be VERY good depending on who declares to come out early.
Thanks for bringing him up again. I think CB should be our main target in the 2nd and TE and ILB in 3rd. The last 2 picks find some good depth.
Potentially a very good draft class for CB, that is.
Are we dismissing Tindall already?
Yes, Forbes is a certified BALLHAWK, 14 INT’s with 6 pick six in 3 seasons.
Just dabbled with my first Mock.
got one of the GA TE’s in the second! 🙂

————-
Yesterday was the deadline to declare for the 2023 NFL Draft. I’m with ya, this class has great potential for CBs!
By the way, GRAND call on Emmanuel Forbes some time back!
Emmanuel Forbes
Cons: Excessive bathroom breaks during practice sessions, prolific bedwetter in the offseason, and excessively talks about his gramma. Led the Mississippi Penal League in dehydration timeouts and sharts over the course of their 6-game season back in May ’22 .
Sounds like he should be available when we select in the 2nd round… 😉
Get the word out above. lol
😆
Wyoming, UGA TE Darnell Washington has been mainly a blocker. Dude is massive at 6’7 270 but holds his weight and runs well. This was his best year receiving. I think he may be a little underrated in the receiving are because he had to compete with 2 other really good TE’s at UGA.
Only knock I have heard is that he struggles blocking smaller quick DB’s due to his size but fares well vs DE’s and OLB/Edge players.
Maybe it’s to close to the end of the season, but I seem to be drafting anyone that has road grader in their bio! 😉
LOL, nice!
Almost took Tenn OT Darnell Wright at #51. I like this though. ILB Campbell is 6’4 246 and also good in coverage. Has 5 INT’s.
51. Emmanuel Forbes CB Mississippi State
77. Jack Campbell ILB Iowa
84. Jordan Morgan OT Arizona
164. Payne Durham TE Purdue
216. DeWayne McBride RB UAB
I think TE Durham, 6’5 255, is under the radar. Nothing special about him and he is going to give you the same 40 time as Smythe. He is just an all-round good TE who can be hard to bring down. Last 2 seasons as a starter he has 101 rec for over 1000 yards and 14 TD’s.
Kind of reminds me of one of those Mark Bavaro types.
At this early stage, I VERY much like this draft. I also like Iowa’s Jack Campbell.
Chiefs, Bolts, Eagles, Ravens plus the standard Bills, Pats and Jets away. Even the Wash football team finished at 500. Pretty much every road trip will be a tough one.
