As Naples was able to convey so clearly, this roster is basically set. There are only a couple of spots on the roster in which anyone drafted in this 2023 NFL Draft can make even the slightest impact on this season, and beyond. With that in mind, let’s once again look at those spots and the players that could have a chance to make that impact. To me, Tight End is the easiest. We have two blocking TE’s, Durham Smythe and Eric Saubert, and then we have a tweener, Tanner Conner, who was a former college WR converted to a TE. Realistically though, Conner is at best what we hoped former Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki, a dangerous receiver. Neither Smythe or Saubert has proven that they can be reliable receivers, but Conner has elite speed for the position (4.37 40) and hops as well with a nearly 40″ vertical. I’ve already illustrated that neither TE is a true receiving threat between Smythe and Saubert, they have a total of 121 receptions, 88 for Smythe over 5 seasons, and 33 over 6 seasons for Saubert, 3 TD’s for Smythe, 2 for Saubert. Those career totals don’t add up to one season for Niners TE George Kittle, who HC Mike McDaniel had the services of in SF as the Offensive Coordinator.
This brings us to Darnell Washington, who already has established that he’s a solid in-line blocking TE, with the size to get bigger, and he’s already shredded. His pass catching is more on potential than actual production, or he’d likely be the first TE off the board. Taking into account that TE is probably one spot where someone could potentially slide into early on, I wouldn’t be upset if we traded up to get him, and it looks that might be a necessity to guarantee he’s on our roster. If your roster is already mostly set, and you only have 4 picks, none of them on day one, and two of them on day 3, I see nothing wrong with acquiring one impact player in exchange for one of our 3 other picks. I think Washington has the size and speed to become a good receiver, and the fact that he could line up now and block on the line and downfield just as easily makes him an easy choice.
Another position where I think a player could help us right away is RB. Let’s face it, we have a RB room that screams “Running Back by Committee!!” There’s not one feature back on our roster, and one half of our RB room is signed through ’24, the other half on year contracts. Adding a versatile RB like Jamhyr Gibbs would be an easy pick. Gibbs increased his carries and receptions each year, and was a big part of the Alabama offense. He has a similar skillset to Mostert, Ahmed and Gaskin, in that he’s a very good receiver out of the backfield, can run either between the tackles, and has the speed to break a big run at any time with 4.36 speed. Mostert had career highs in carries (181) and yards (891) in his 8 year career. Wilson also had career highs last season, splitting the season between the Niners and Dolphins, finishing with 176 carries and 860 yards. None of our backs have played an entire season as a lead back getting the lions share of carries. Adding some young talent to the pool makes sense. Improve the depth, and very likely, one of either Ahmed or Gaskin would be either released or traded.
To me, it sure seems like the Dolphins staff is committed to developing OG Liam Eichenberg. If it were up to Ken, we’d have already moved on from Eich, but even Ken knows we invested an early 2nd RD pick, in order to do so we traded up from #50 and traded an additional 2022 3rd pick to get to #42 to take the Notre Dame OL. It’s sensible to get something back on your investment if you truly see the potential there. He absolutely has not realized that potential as of yet, and RT Austin Jackson is certainly on his last chance, being 2024 would be the fifth year option for Jackson, a $14M + decision, in which Jackson would need a standout year to have the Dolphins pick up that 5th year option. To think the Dolphins may spend another 2nd RD pick on an OL is not folly. I don’t think anyone here would be disappointed if we went that direction. Once again, there are a couple of interior OL that could give Eich a run for his money in this draft. TCU OG Steve Avila is a massive lineman, 6’3.5, 332 lbs., who is very light on his feet for such a big guy. He’s also a team captain, leader of men, and could potentially be a day one starter. Many here feel we need to upgrade the O-line, Avila could remedy that. Another OL I’ve mentioned is OL John Michael Schmitz. He is widely considered to be the top interior lineman, specifically OC prospect. I know some people get bent out of shape when you say we could move C Connor Williams to OG, (where he played 4 seasons for the Dallas Cowboys) and have Schmitz at C. Williams is a very solid player who played every-single-snap last season at C. He struggled some with high snaps, but otherwise it was hard to criticize his play. Schmitz is a true C that could step in day one, and moving Connor Williams to LG gives us a strong left side, with Armstead at LT and Williams at LG.
There’s always different ways to look at things, and we may just end up being patient, see who falls to our spot at each draft pick, and end up with 4 players, or we might get aggressive and package a pick or two to get a player. I’d prefer the latter, as I feel if we’re going to draft players in the 2nd RD and 3rd RD, these players better be roster worthy and at least in my estimation, should have some impact, even in their rookie season. Keep in mind we drafted LB Channing Tindall last season who made zero impact last season, but we’ve also seen Grier trade up for players he wants as he did with OG Liam Eichenberg. Whatever they do, I just hope these players we draft make our team better not only in the future, but this year as well.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

I am NOT correcting your mocks or BBM’s either.
And there have been other great ones done by other guys on here.
I’m just micro-managing this draft because there’s so much dead time here,
AND because for the first time in a long time,
I feel like our team is so close to being a top 5 contender.
And when you’re a top 5 team, LEGIT top 5,
then you could catch a couple breaks and find yourself in the SB
with a serious shot at winning.
And I am SOOOOO ready for that.
WHEW
WTF
Where’d everybody go?
We’re all sooooo ready for that. This team could go into the season without the draft and compete. But let’s add at least a couple of good young prospects for depth and the future.
Naples, critique all you want. I appreciate it. I am no expert and far from it. I am just one of millions of armchair GM’s who get heavy into the draft and mock drafts.
The one thing I’m a little different on about this draft than some guys
is that I see this draft as being deep in just the type of RB we could really use,
and I think we are in danger of losing Mostert for the rest of the season to an injury.
So I think we need to draft one of those 5 guys at RB that look like a fit to the McDaniel prototype.
Also … dammit …
I know Mostert is still fast, but I don’t think he’s quite as fast as he once was.
And our other 3 RBs are not actually fast.
Ahmed 4.62
Gaskin 4.58
Wilson 4.57
Remember Mostert is a year removed from surgery and rehab so he’ll start this season healthier than last year.
Not sure why you’re predicting a season ending injury for him though?
I feel like all those guys play faster than their 40 times, especially Ahmed. Wilson has deceptive speed and Gaskin always gives it all he has.
I would not be surprised if we draft a RB though. I’ve said many times the guy I like but not sure he falls to us is Jahmyr Gibbs. He’d be perfect in our offense. He has the speed to stretch the field both laterally and vertically.
I think we should do a Cedric Wilson poll. Is he a:
1. Pre Draft trade saving 6 mil in cap
2. Draft Day trade saving 6 mil in cap
3. Post Draft but Pre June 1 trade saving 6 mil in cap
4. Pre June 1 release saving 1 mil in cap
5. Post June 1 release saving 2 mil in cap
6. Post June 1 trade saving 7 mil in cap
7. Stays with the team
I would like to see #1 or #2 happen but will take #6 also. #3 doesn’t make much sense though. Might as well wait another month and save an extra mil.
I keep telling myself #6 and keeping him through TC to see how he’s progressed or until a team realizes they have a need at WR or have an injury but find myself leaning to #2.
#2 final answer, lol
It’s hard to decide because you need a trade partner and I’m not sure how teams view him and his contract.
My favorite RBs in the draft:
Jahmyr Gibbs 4.36
Zach Charbonnet 4.53
Tyjae Spears 4.54
Israel Abanikanda 4.41
DeWayne McBride 4.52 (but he benches 385!!!)
Kendre Miller 4.58
SF runners
McCaffrey 4.48
Mitchell 4.35
I think we all like Bijan Robinson but know we have no shot. LOL
Naples, I am right with you. Eary on and still, I really like RB Israel Abanikanda at 5’10, 217 pounds he ran a 4.41 and had a 41″ vertical at his pro day.
The other is RB Sean Tucker who had a slight injury training for the combine and was not able to participate in that or his pro day. In a mock combine during training, at 5’9, 207 pounds, his two 40 times were 4.39 and 4.33, 41.5 vertical and 27 reps on bench.
Well, that was the worst funeral I’ve ever been to. Parents losing their child is hell. I give them tremendous credit for being able to speak at the funeral, and speak well. I wouldn’t be able to keep myself together. The cemetery was worse, as expected. Just brutal. My heart goes out to them, but nothing but time can heal this. So damn sad
Yeah that’s rough and really sad. I have a hard time dealing with the guttural grieving for the finality because I’ve experienced it. It’s an emotion nobody wants to experience. It hurts. My condolences to you and your loved ones.
Thanks. They’re genuinely lovely people. This is the Jets C.O.O.’s son. He was a brilliant, caring, wonderful person. Such a shame.
How old was his son?
19. Pre med, EMT, running straight A’s at Cornell. He tutored kids in various courses, including testing for the SAT’s, ACT, chemistry, math. He sounded like a great kid. I didn’t know him, unfortunately.
Ugh… I remember you mentioning this. Was it an aneurysm or something like that?
Naples, I think you should add Sean Tucker to that list. He is not a small RB. He is built like a small tank. Very good receiver as well.
I like short and stocky RBs. They run low and weave their way through the holes and not easy to tackle. Think Frank Gore.
He has power to run through arm tackles.
I love watching the RBC Heritage tournament. They always show the beautiful salt marsh and creeks around Hilton Head. The very waters I fished when I lived in Beaufort, SC. The shrimping there was phenomenal.
Tim – yes, brain aneurysm.
😦
Mike, that is so tragic. I can’t begin to imagine it.
HERD; I DITTO THOSE THOUGHTS. Seeing shining lights extinguished far before their time is truly impossible to understand or accept. Mike, this young man can not be replaced. But those who take pride in his many achievements can, and must, be motivated to work just a bit harder for a better world. THAT, I’m sure, is how he would want us to react.
My heart goes out to you and all those who knew him.
OD – That’s precisely what his parents said in their words at the funeral. It’s uncanny. Almost verbatim
More tragedy on the front page of USA Today….”4 shot dead at party in Alabama.”
Subtitle: “Official: 15 teens treated for gunshot wounds.”
I read something like this every day…..it’s sad.
Solution? Guns don’t kill people, people do.
LMAO!
I loved the “American family barbeque” meme/cartoon UK put out. So true.
My question is why can’t all of you gun owners take responsibility (talk about blood on your hands) and do something about it?
It seems to me the current “gun” reasoning equates freedom of gun ownership (is that really a freedom-?) trumps the value of human life. I really don’t understand any of the so-called reasoning….not one bit.
It also seems to me that most Americans live in fear for their lives. Somehow packing makes you feel safer. Really?
Yes, it does
160 mass shootings already this year, I agree Krishna, we need more stringent penalties for those that create gun violence, and we need to increase the police budgets to hire more cops
I agree with Mike E., too, about training to obtain a license except the length of time and learning how to use a gun safely should be over a 6 month span at 18 or when you’re eligible for the draft.
If penalties of having a gun at a crime scene existed and had teeth, like mandatory 10 years incarceration for anyone and everyone at that scene, it might deter some of this shit. One might think really hard about earning a
“participation trophy” (aiding and abetting).
And, what is the legitimate reason for not having universal registries and background checks? Fear?
Because if you give them em an inch they’ll try to take a mile.
Their ultimate goal is total gun control and total control in general (we know what’s good for you) if we didn’t already, it reared its ugly head in states like CA during covid
Happy Monday!
10 days to NFL Draft!
Miami Dolphins begin voluntary offseason workouts today!!
Our team really liked this guy. Hate to see him climbing draft boards.

Good breakdown on Brenton Strange by Ryder.
Nice breakdown by Ryder on our new TE Saubert.
It’s Ryder McConville Monday. LOL
Breakdown on new backup QB Mike White.

If the Lions made this trade with us their GM should be fired
Don’t remember a trade where a team trades the current years first for the next years first, especially when the next years first is expected to be a later pick

Not sure if he deserves to be the highest but it’s good to see he was extended
This is the kind of money we are going to pay Tua down the line BTW, unless we decide to part ways
You ain’t getting 230 mil guaranteed, Lamar.
Is that what Lamar is asking for?
I can’t keep up with the numbers…lol
At the beginning of all this he supposedly wanted more guaranteed than Watson who got 230 mil. I think he has to know by now he isn’t getting that much, so his number has probably come down.
I think Hurts is a very comparable guy to Jackson, except Hurts has shown he can do it in the playoffs and got his team to a SB, so it’ll be interesting to see if Jackson gets a comparable number. Hurts contract should be the upper bar for Jackson IMO.
Jackson has a history of betting on himself, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jackson play on the franchise tag this year betting he can put up a big enough year to get closer to what he wants.
One thing that might change things is if a team decides to negotiate with him after the draft. If that happens, then I think the Ravens will match any offer presented.
It would probably help to negotiate something workable if he actually had an agent…
😲
lol, someone should tell Jackson
Some of you don’t think Robbie/Chosen Anderson is a difference maker
But I agree with the below, I think it spells the end of Wilson as a Dolphin
And Berrios, Anderson, Cracraft and Ezumah are going to fill up spots 3-6 of a WR unit
I don’t know who is our slot or our 3 guy, but I think Wilson is going to be traded
And there’s also a rumor about Delvin Cook becoming a Dolphin
Cook’s cap hit is 14million and 15 million over the next 2 years
But if he is released the dead cap hit is more like 8m and 3m
So it kind of reeks of a possible salary cap release
Not sure if it has to wait for 6/1 or not
If we trade for him – we take on that salary
But the Vikings probably will trade him for peanuts just to unload that contract
And maybe Grier can rework that contract somehow
Cedric’s Wilson’s cap hit for 2023 is 8 million, the dead cap it 7 million
So if you take on a 14 million dollar cap him but unload an 8 million dollar cap hit, you are just decreasing your cap space by 6 million
And I wonder if that 6 million can be worked by Grier
2024 is a different issue though
Wilson is still an 8 m $ cap hit but his dead money is only 1 million in 2024
But Cooks dead cap is 3m in 2024, so if you can’t rework that contract, you can waive him like you would have waived Wilson and the hit you take is only 2m more than it would have been for Cook
I tend to think the possibility of a trade involving Cook and Cedric Wilson might happen
That sure is wishful thinking
I hope that trade does happen, but I don’t see it working out, if nothing other than if it sounds too good to be tru…
I’m starting to believe it’s a matter of time before Cook is off the Vikings and on some other team
And there are a few teams in the mix – we are one of them
Another one unfortunately is Buffalo
I don’t think the Anderson signing means anything other than, he was available at a good price, so why not
Value signings should never be taken to mean anything, other than what it is
Also if you aren’t impressed with adding Cook you should be
This is a speed run vs the Bills last year
Cook fits the mold McDaniel wants for this offense
He wants to run from the outside in
If you can put pressure on the LBs to try to close that space out side of the tackle, then the opposing team CBs are going to have to defend the sidelines on a island and that opens up the inside cuts for our speedy WRs
We get speed form mostart IMO – but Cook adds a little something extra that Mostart
Doesn’t have
I just think that’s McDaniels Dream personnel
Personally I would rather have Derrick Henry – but I think cook fits the mold of what we want to add at RB better than Henry
Also part of the reason I think blocking TEs are more important than Roght tackles
(Piggy ducks in anticipation of OL anger thrown at him)
IDK if they’re more important, but having one can be huge for an O

I don’t have any skin in this game as we don’t have the same issues here as you do on US soil and I’d like to think statistically I’m unlikely to be caught in gun violence, but these tweets are pretty eye-popping.

If guns are everywhere, they’ll be used and abused. It’s just a simple numbers game. Idiots like the above who have no idea they carry death in their hands and idiots with every idea, who want to inflict their malice and hatred on others, welcome carrying death in their hands. Knife crime is bad enough, but gun crime is utterly abhorrent to Brits. We have a tendency to copy US trends over here. I hope and pray that this isn’t one of those. I don’t think it will be. Zero tolerance is almost in our DNA thank God.
Your situation is completely different over there
We have a lower class here, that is filled with criminals and politicians spurring them on and do what they can to keep them out of prison, and race baiters, that control the narrative
The UK’s poverty’s rate is actually slightly higher than Ours
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/poverty-rate-by-country
Their situation is really no different with the exception of history
We have lower classes Steve, but not guns. In even a fraction of your proliferation anyway.
And in spite of the poverty Piggy linked, we are at least at present living longer. I was pretty shocked when I read this thread
This really stood out: More years of American lives were erased by drugs, guns & road deaths in 2021 alone than from Covid during the whole pandemic.
I didn’t say you didn’t have a lower class, and poverty rate isn’t an issue
It’s hard to argue defund the police and the new liberal laws have greatly added to the crime rates around the country
This is what Steve is talking about.

The first tweet is inaccurate. Background checks are still required to buy a gun. That is a federal requirement.
And this is one of the many reasons why gun owners don’t trust those want to “regulate” gun ownership.
IMO it was a huge mistake to pay Hurts what they did
A year ago they were trying to trade for Watson and Wilson, then after a season with an amazing supporting cast he looks other worldly
Once the dust settles and his huge cap hit is figured in, it won’t be a pretty site, because he really isn’t a very good passer
Their OL and running game, especially in short yardage situations, was money
Not making light of the gun issue/debate but the question I have is how did UK get all those links in one comment without it going to spam??? 🤔
😉
Herd – wtf do you WVns get up to on your nights off?
2nd link starting pic.twitter btw
Nothing good. In what has to be the longest string of bad luck in the history of history, the last time I was out and about I ended up with COVID. 🥴
This refers to long and healthy life and not the dangers of living in America where everyone has a gun.
It is because a huge, vast number of Americans eat a ton of garbage and are fat.
I told my wife I want to be buried with a box of Little Debbie Fudge Rounds. 😉
Piggy, when it comes to Dalvin Cook in a Pre June 1 trade for Cedric Wilson:
First, Dalvin Cook would not have a dead cap of 3.1 mil for us in 2024. That 2024 dead cap is his signing bonus that has to be paid by the Vikings either this year in a pre June 1 trade or paid by the Vikings next year in a post June 1 trade. That’s money that is “paid” by that team at the signing of the contract. The cap hit is just spread out over the contract and doesn’t carry over to the new team in a trade.
Each team retains the responsibility to pay the respective signing bonuses in full at the time of the trade. In our case, Wilson has 2 mil in signing bonuses left (2023 & 2024). Therefore, pre June 1, the whole 2 mil counts against this year’s cap so the cap savings would be 6 mil. Post June 1 trade, the cap savings would be 7 mil this year with a 1 mil dead cap hit next year. Vikings would be on the hook for his base salary of 7 mil this year.
Dalvin Cooks cap hit for them is 14.1 mil. A pre June 1 trade, Cooks remaining signing bonus for 2023 and 2024 would become their cap hit for 2023 leaving them with 6.2 mil in dead cap for Cook in 2023 but no dead cap hit for them in 2024.
It would be a great deal for us as we don’t take on the 14.1 mil. We just take on his 10.4 mil base salary. Subtracting Wilson’s 6 mil we save (pre June 1) and we would have Cook for only an extra 4.4 mil in cap space not 6 mil. Also, I believe, the last of Cooks guaranteed salary gets paid this year so we could release him next year with NO dead cap.
Not sure it’s a great deal for the Vikings. In this pre June 1 trade scenario, Vikings would have the 6.2 mil dead cap hit for Cook leaving them with 7,898,728 in cap savings but subtract Wilson’s base salary and this trade only saves them 898K on their cap for this year but will have zero dead cap next year. If this were a post June 1 trade, they would clear about 4 mil this year but still have the 3.1 mil hit in 2024.
In the end, I don’t see where this is a great deal for the Vikings if they are looking to clear cap this year unless this trade is post June 1.
Hope this makes sense and also hope I didn’t screw up a calculation. I got a sinus headache today. lol
“Ron DeSantis has signed a permitless carry bill into law that will abolish all gun training and safety requirements to carry a gun in Florida.
No background checks, no gun safety classes, no questions,… no nuthin’.”
That’s a big part of the problem in our country. Different states have different gun laws.
The safety requirements isn’t going to stop mass shootings though. That just teaches people how to handle guns better. That’s not going to do anything to stop a fucked up person from doing what they plan on doing.
Like I’ve said many times I don’t have the answer. But we need to do something. It’s becoming ridiculously bad.
He is doing it to slow the illegal migration of progressive democrats from NY and CA. 😉
Derek Carr has thrown five touchdowns. All to Miami defenseman. 😂
He also had two fumbles picked up and run back for scoop scores!!
Tua only got to throw four passes. Two for touchdowns.
Ha!! Another pick six to finish out the game. 65-7
It was raining very hard The entire game.
That’s not rain. You were crying. 😂
This all seems very realistic. LOL
Maybe some of you have mentioned him before because I know there’s been a lot of posts about RBs. What do you guys think of Chase Brown?
He is another who is underrated IMO. He’s another shorter but stout RB with good speed. I think he ran in low 4.4’s. He could be a 3 down RB. Good receiving skills also. I like him.
This is a good year for RB.
That Tajae Spears is starting to grow on me also. The kid is shifty with decent 4.47 speed.
Apparently FLA becomes the 26th state to pass such a law, so over half the states in the union already had similar laws. DeSantis isn’t taking us into the wild west here as the headline is insinuating. I’m not a gun owner myself, so I don’t know exactly if this makes anything worse than before. I do know that you can’t trust any headline these days dealing with anything a Republican does, especially Desantis.
The problem is this country isn’t united and there is no common ground in sight.
The salary cap is really becoming a joke
If that contract runs thru 2028, how the heck does that work? Are they scheduled to pay him 90 mil in 2027 and another 90 mil in 2028?
When I say scheduled to pay, I mean hit to the salary cap (obviously)
It’s almost like they are giving these contracts to these players just so they can say they got paid the highest or something with a ton of money at the end that they will never see.
Yeah, clearly it’s be set up for them to kick it down the road in 2027, I can’t wait to see what those last two years look like, lol.
lol @ ‘it’s be set up’
Not almost, its exactly what they’re doing
We did it with Tyreek, he knows he’s not going to see that last year and has even said he’s going to retire before that 50+m cap year
It’s all about winning now when you think you can. Championships bring in lots of money.
Lachlan Pitts, TE, William & Mary. 6’6″, 253. In-line blocker, fair receiver. I just added him to my UDFAs.

Adding Anderson is we simply get faster in competition. McDaniel believes we spread the field and allow playmakers to make plays. It’s not that complicated. Shine on you crazy diamond.
Basics…
The Parts of the U.S. Constitution
The Preamble
“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our prosperity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
The Preamble defines the following six goals:
1) “to form a more perfect union”
– They hoped to construct a stronger and more effective government than the Articles of Confederation.
2) “establish justice”
– Form, or create, a better system of courts and trial system.
3) “ensure domestic tranquility”
– Keep peace between the different states.
4) “provide for the common defense”
– Defend the nation from threats and others that will do the nation harm or evil.
5) “promote the general welfare”
– Guard the right of the people to work for a high standard of living, or good living conditions.
6) “secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”
– Safeguard the same freedom for themselves and generations of Americans to come.
Hmm…..
– They hoped to construct a stronger and more effective government than the Articles of Confederation.
No, they hoped to keep the government in check via the Articles of Confederation
– Form, or create, a better system of courts and trial system.
As in, what was written in the Constitution… better than England
– Keep peace between the different states.
Wrong, the Federalist Papers ensure the rights of states, so as not to have a ‘one size fits all’ government.
– Defend the nation from threats and others that will do the nation harm or evil.
That especially includes internal threats of tyranny (see #2A)
– Guard the right of the people to work for a high standard of living, or good living conditions.
That does not include those who ride the backs of others, so as to be lazy and take advantage of them.
– Safeguard the same freedom for themselves and generations of Americans to come.
At least ya got that one right. There was only ONE purpose of government, according to the Founders: to PROTECT its citizens.
This country has gone WAY off track, and both political parties are to blame.
Agreed
What are the beliefs of a liberal?
The fundamental liberal ideals of freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, the separation of church and state, the right to due process and equality under the law are widely accepted as a common foundation of liberalism.
I believe you have these beliefs, and think everyone here does too, but the politicians on the left mostly do not
That’s my issue. Progressives are not liberal. They’re authoritarians. My way or the highway. Tell me why I’m wrong?
Very interesting earlier, Tucker Carlson interviewing Elon Musk. Seems to me that Elon has regrets about funding AI in the past, and now wants to counter it with a new AI.
I hate to tell Elon that the cat is already out of the bag (thanks in part to him), and ‘closed-AI’ is already being utilized in conjunction with ‘open-AI’.
It’s 2023, and all of the warnings of the past have been ignored.
The dystopian books and movies of the past NEVER glorified the opening of ‘Pandora’s Box’. We were WARNED from a wiser time in history to not fuck with such things… yet, here we are.

Go Kings…
Anyone but Edmonton, Toronto or Boston …
I mean GO JETS GO
😁
Not sure anyone has a chance in a 7 game series against the Bruins buzzsaw this year
But I meant the Sacramento Kings who went up 2-0 on the defending champion Dubs last night 🙂
Lol, I knew you meant Sac, as you’re a big fan
I think Edmonton can beat Boston, they may be the only team, that has a shot
Mike – sorry to hear about your friend’s loss. That must have been a tough one to bear.
Herd – sorry to hear about your Covid. That thing just keeps outstaying it’s welcome.
BBM, Phel and anyone else that fishes – careful where you cast. Cav is like the truth …… he’s out there somewhere? LMAO

WTF is that?
My guess is a Piggy photoshop!
Yeah, has to be. I don’t think a creature like that exists, although maybe somewhere deep in the ocean, there really is, who knows?
Uncle Edward! He always was an odd duck…
As has been pointed out numerous times on here, especially with a healthy Tua and a greater commitment to the run game, a Fins TE is going to be feeding on scraps.
Lol…I love revisionism. It’s kinda like alternative facts…..go Republicans!
This one’s for Stanger
And this one’s for Mike E

Awesome! Thanks UK!
Ah Welcome back to the world of light!
I can see everyone is still trying to find a complicated answer to a simple question!

Thanks for your input on Cook yesterday
The bottom line is, if Cook is traded it probably won’t happen until after 6/1
That said, I think it’s going to happen
For us though, it’s not the sort of thing that happens before the draft – and the f we draft Gibbs, which is on the table, I think exploration of Cooks availability is over
New Cook rumor
The more I think about it the more I think they will pick a RB in this draft. I know they have used late round guys but Mostert is 31 already. I think they may just take one in the 2nd or 3rd if the right guy is there when they pick.
JUST DON’T waste the 3rd round pick to move up!!!!
List of TE’s the Dolphins have met with.
https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article274300375.html
Good info!
My dream at the moment is Darnell Washington falling to us at 51, then pick up best available OL and then swing that signing/trade for Cook after 6/1
Pork Dreams
I think McDaniels would love an RB like Gibbs in this offense. We resigned all 4 RBs because the idea is to have your roster BEFORE the draft … allows them flexibility as the draft shakes out.
That said, just because we signed Gaskin doesn’t mean we’ll keep him. I think the other 3 are safe because they ALL have prior history with McDaniels.
The group we have also WILL get injured at some point, as it seems that is a given for these guys. Having a young RB who can shred LB coverage gives Tua a quick target should the OL continue to not be able to give that extra time.
Steelers made a move today
Working that deferred money on cap space room – maybe something similar can happen for us with Cook

Just got the email from Youtube.
Sunday Ticket is now available to buy. I just purchased the stand alone without the redzone channel for $349.
I’m pretty sure if you order the Youtube TV which is on sale right now for $63 and get the ticket for $249, you can cancel the youtube tv after the 1st month and still have the ticket. That’ll save you $37 off of the $349 standalone price.
I didn’t want to research that to be sure and decided to simply go with the standalone.
IMPORTANT!!!!
I just looked it up. If you order Sunday Ticket through YoutubeTV and get the cheaper price, YOU MUST MAINTAIN youtubeTV.
If you cancel youtubetv, you’ll lose the ticket as well. So if you don’t want youtubetv, pay for the standalone ticket,
You can stream on 2 devices simultaneously. Youtube allows 3 streams for youtubetv, but only 2 for the ticket.
Just to be clear on this one (I know number of streams matters to Toba).
The way I’m reading it, even if you get the ticket through youtubetv, you still get only 2 simultaneous streams for the NFL ticket even though all other aspects of youtubetv you get 3 streams.
Youtube sets you up on automatic renewal. I already show August 8, 2024 renewal at $449. You can go in and cancel auto renewal right away.
If you want to purchase the standalone Ticket, you still need to create a free youtube account.
The $100 discount for all Sunday Ticket plans will run through 06/06/23. After that the standalone without redzone goes up to $449.
Hallef^ckinglujah, a couple of clicks and I have Sunday ticket. And I can stream on both my TVs directly through the yotube app.
I can’t wait for the season to start
Thanks for all the Sunday Ticket info Kong!
No prob, bro. I figured I’d post answers to all the things I was wondering about myself, figuring at least a few people on here would have the same questions.
I am extremely excited about this, lol.
Kong, I guess no a la carte options?
There is the standalone option, which requires no other purchase.
What do you mean? I was wondering if you can just purchase one game each week.
Ah, gotcha. No, at this time that isn’t an option. I was thinking to myself “I talk about the standalone a lot, why is he asking this?” Lol
Okay thanks. LOL
He’s Tim, that’s what he does😛
I got to unload Igy!

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald looked at a number of different positions the Dolphins are scouting.
“The Dolphins have interest in adding a couple of guards in the draft process; they’ve given serious thought to drafting one, according to a source, and will be looking for interior linemen after the draft as well,” wrote Jackson.
“Among several guards that have drawn their interest, according to sources: Hawaii’s Micah Vanterpool (who didn’t allow a sack last season) and North Carolina State’s Chandler Zavala.”
Hate and discontent in Buffalo
Just another jackass being a jackass
We saw X discontent a few years ago for other reasons
In the end Diggs will kiss and make up
Nothing to see here
Yeah, that offense really took off once they acquired Diggs. Hard to see them moving him.
Let’s go Channing!!!

We know he can run, can he play at this level?
Good tackler too. It’s sounds like he needs to diagnose plays better. Hopefully he can thrive under Fangio.

That’s going on almost everywhere. The tolerance towards crime is ridiculous.
I want to go on record as a liberal in favor of arresting, convicting, tough sentencing, and incarcerating criminals for the entirety of their sentences.
I hold lenient judges and soft prisons as part of the crime problem in America. Parents who use lawyers to protect their bratty kids as well.
My first rules would be no internet or cell phones for inmates, no weight lifting apparatus, no golf courses, no drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes, and no new tattoos, piercings, or other such adornments. And the food should be bland and merely adequate, and the TV should be censored and limited to that which is spiritually uplifting and promotes calm, peace, and moral integrity.
You sound like a benevolent dictator. LOL
And yet you keep voting for those promoting this behavior, so…
What else is on Youtubetv that worth the price?
They’re probably going to become a big deal. Getting the NFL Ticket is huge.
I’m gonna purchase the stand alone
Kong : call me stupid, but how do you know you can stream 2 games at a time as there are none happening right now ??
It’s a valid question.
Youtube has stated the Sunday Ticket service will allow up to two devices to stream concurrently.
Nearly all the info I posted above was direct from Youtube.
So with my smart TVs I can log onto YouTube via the cable box .. I assume you mean one’s login can only be utilized twice . So two box logins ?? One streaming channel/game each …
I guess I can likely park myself downstairs and experiment… won’t be tonight lol
My cable company(Shaw) that was still serving Sunday Ticket was just bought up by Rogers .. not sure how this is gonna affect me yet .. I was also able to watch the Amazon games carried via our cable company on either a TSN or Sportsnet feed.. also not sure how that plays out … hoping we still get Sunday Ticket through cable 🤞🤷♂️
So here is another question I am not sure any can answer , but I will ask anyway…
As most of you know I have 3 65” TVs in basement for football season .. each one has its own Cable Box which allows me to have a live game on each plus I queue up two more on each so I hit “ previous” during injury time outs and 1/4 breaks and watch those games for a bit ..
on your YouTube stream could one run a different YouTube stream (or 2) on each box? Or a total of 2 streams ?? I figure my regular time shift cable package will still have MOST games airing , but Fins games have seldom been aired on cable other than utilizing Sunday ticket.
Asking for a friend 🤡
For clarification we only have one cable line incoming , but 7 boxes hooked to TVs .. and yeah 3 people live in the house LOL
I’m not sure how Youtube works with cable. If youtube is accessible through the cable box, then if I understand your question, I would think each box would be able to run separate streams because you’re opening up different sessions on each box.
OD : Great start for Tampa.. hope they keep it up ..
Last nights Wild/Stars overtime was a goalie showcase.. up and down the ice action for the duration of OT …
GO JETS GO ….
Why do I feel dirty typing that on here ??🤔
David moment over 🤡
There is still a buzz about us wanting to add Dalvin Cook. He played three seasons with a shoulder injury and recently had surgery to repair that so he’s his best version right now.
Cook would make us scary as fuck on offense. That guys runs like he’s on fire and is not easy to tackle. Good in pass pro and as a receiver. I feel like we’re going to acquire him somehow. Probably our 3rd round round pick and a new contract pushed down the road. We’re about winning now as we know. It’s a 2 year run before we start losing some players to age, salary and FA.
Cook makes us a lethal offense.
I love Dalvin Cook
me too
I’d love to get him, but I’d settle for Jahmyr Gibbs.
Toba, if you have smart tvs, don’t they have the youtube app internally as well?
Yes they do … curiosity got to me … so skipped the sign in page on all three , as I am pretty sure I personally do kit have a YouTube log in , and was able to load a different feed on each tv .. so it looks promising
Do not
As in do not have a log in
That makes it easy then. You create a free youtube account. If you decide to purchase the ticket through youtube, you just log into your account through the two tvs themselves and you can stream separate games simultaneously.
Excellent.. so there is a back up plan in place … thank you for educating me
CK, thanks for the info. It’s going to be great not having to find a stream. 🙂
No prob, Herd. Hallelujah on not having to find a stream, or close out ads, or lose the stream.
Wow Tampa Toronto at a real turning g point here
Phel was the first on this stuff a week or so ago when youtube announced they were ready to sell the subscription, then they walked back the start date.
or rather, they pushed the date out, lol
Tampa scores , informed by review, that i still never see it crossing … Toronto challenges for goalie interference and loses the challenge .. Tampa was already on a 5 Min power play
Confirmed by review

Lol…I love revisionism. It’s kinda like alternative facts…..go Republicans!
————-
First, I didn’t post revisionism, I posted the facts regarding the law and Constitution of the USA.
Second, I’ve NEVER been a Republican… I’m a lifelong Independent voter with conservative/libertarian tendencies.
Third, I didn’t mean to rub ya the wrong way. I respect your opinions and the right to say as much. It’s alright to disagree, but please don’t post revisionism of our founding documents and law, my man.
I ain’t mad at ya, Krishna… just wanted to set the record straight.
and I’ve never been a registered Democrat, never been a Dem donor, never been a supporter of Malcolm X or Al Sharpton or even BLM, despite what Steve erroneously assumes.
I do believe that Black lives matter, but I don’t support the group called BLM.
I’m a Methodist, like George Bush, Jr.
Although I’m retired now, I’ve been a capitalist businessman and held licenses in taxes, real estate, stock market investing, computer science, and small business corporations, among others.
I drive Porsches and Corvettes, not Priuses and Volts.
I don’t support allowing homeless people to take over city streets or parks, and I don’t support those parts of the Welfare State which give middle class economic status to people who don’t work and / or make babies to scam the system. I don’t support Affirmative Action.
I’m from South Carolina, cradle of the Confederacy, and went to Clemson, hardly a bastion of liberalism, but rather an engineering school, not even a liberal arts college.
And as far as who I vote for, which is no one’s business, I live in one of the most densely Republican metro areas. The most liberal candidates here would be considered Moderates in at least 15 states.
The most liberal candidates in our recent election were a lifelong police officer and former police chief known for being tough on crime and a former Republican Governor who changed parties in 2010.
I don’t know where Steve is getting his wild ideas about my politics, but I hope the rest of you are not making such biased assumptions.
PS: I do support Krishna, and I do care what he thinks.
He is a deep thinker and a really nice person with a good heart.
He’s just trying to get everybody to get along and live in harmony.

LMAO , Tampa scores with .1 seconds left in period to go up 6-2. SWEET
Both games on right now are already over. I hope the Jets can at least make it a good close game against the Knights.
😳keep it close ??😳 we gonna run em outta the rink 😎
I’m pulling for yer boys, Toba.
I cannot believe the meteoric rise of Brenton Strange as of late! Know what that tells me? In-line blocking TEs still count (duh!).
But would you trade for Dalvin Cook for a 3rd round pick and a two year run at a championship? I would. 🙂
Like I said to ya the other day… if we can make it work financially, he’d put our Offense over the top! 😀
🙂 I think it’s going to happen. Gibbs is not going to fall to #51. If we add Cook; Mostert and Wilson are the top rotation backs and Ahmed and Gaskin are nothing more than depth or out.
I hope you’re right, man! Adding Dalvin Cook to this Offense would be KILLER.
So who should we draft @ 51 if we’re trading our @ 84 for Cook?
BPA that makes the team better now.
There seems to be a contingent of Sam LaPorta fans who believe he can block very well. I’ve dissected his numbers and some of his tape, and I don’t believe that claim holds water.
Seems he blocked fairly well against ‘B teams’ (no pass-rushers to be held accountable for) and that’s where the majority of his blocking reps come from, but he did miserably in the very few sits where he was asked to block against ‘A teams’.
Sorry, but LaPorta (who many of the media are mocking to us) isn’t going to go over well with me.
I definitely agree with that.
I just watched his highlights reel, and that was some very ordinary stuff in the YAC after decent route running, but he didn’t look either fast or quick.
I think his ceiling is very low. I think he’s already as good as he can get.
^
At least Vegas isn’t wearing those GAWD AWFUL metallic helmets tonight
TWO, count ’em, TWO stupid penalties in the 2nd period cost the Leafs dearly!!
Down 3-0 after one period, Toronto quickly narrowed the gap to 3-2 as the home crowd roared!!
But, then came the 2 penalties. When the dust settled, the Lightning had a 6-2 edge and Toronto looked dead in the water.
The Toronto media are already getting their knives ready!! They’ve had enough of the Leafs choking in the playoffs (now am NHL record 54 years since their last Stanley Cup Trophy!!
The Bolts have lost 3 players to injury (including all-world defensemen Victor Hedman) but they now appear to be in complete control of this contest.
The heavily favored Maple Leafs have failed again in the playoffs.
👍😊👍
No clue how that never went in 😱

BPA that makes the team better now.
————
Yes, I get that… no argument from me here. But if GM TIM has to make the decision, is your BPA likely on Offense or Defense, I wonder?
Here’s the better question: how high on your list is a blocking/receiving TE?
I would love to add a good young OL. That group needs more talent and competition. I’m not as concerned about TE. We also utilize FB and TE as H-backs. They’re 3rd and 4th options.
What McDaniel sees in Tua as a QB is a guy who can get talent the ball and that’s what’s happening. Give him 5 options and it will work 70% of the time. Tua is a marksman.
A lot of us are discussing TEs but we might need to accept that it’s a WR and RB offense that McDaniel is putting together. He believes in speed and skill. Most TEs are not the player that changes the game. Keep the chains moving when it’s there and block some plays.
Thus a blocking TE is more important to US .. and we seem to have 2.5 of them
I’m beginning to believe that Darnell Washington isn’t what his Combine tells us he is. I went back to his tape, and I saw some good shit after not having seen good shit prior to his Combine.
I think he probably maxed his value at the Combine and many (including myself) over-valued him at the moment… and that includes reviewing his tape post-Combine.
His game doesn’t reflect a Coach McDaniel Offense, rather a Pittsburgh Steeler* Offense. If we were to draft Washington, he’d be the guy who stands out as the slowest, most cumbersome one amongst track stars.
I must revise my Draft.
Should be 3-0 Jets 😡
My Miami Dolphins 2023 Mock Draft (4/18/2023)
R2P20 (51): Luke Musgrave, TE, Oregon State
R3P21 (84): Blake Freeland, OT, BYU, OR Braeden Daniels, T/G, Utah
R6P20 (197): Brett Neilon, C, USC, OR Jerrod Clark, NT, Coastal Carolina
R7P21 (238): Devonnsha Maxwell, DT, Chattanooga
UDFA: Trent Thompson, TE/FB, UTEP; Christian Izien, S, Rutgers; Camren McDonald, TE, FSU; Lachlan Pitts, TE, William & Mary; more to come…
FA: Brandon Shell, T
TK
I agree with you about McDaniel de-emphasizing TE contributions
after the way he under-utilized Gesicki.
Except
uhhh Kittle?
It’s impossible to see the 49ers’ success without Kittle’s contributions.
It’s impossible to see Mahomes’s success without Kelce’s contributions.
Those guys are unique, not even much like each other, but having them takes the pressure off the little fast guys when it gets brutal. Those TEs demand attention from the DC, and it hurts DBs when they get hit by the big guys. Late in games and in the playoffs, teams need enforcers. Or imposing the offense’s will and moving the chains.
That’s because you have a Kittle. Not sure how to simply add that.
Woot woot
Woot woot
Maybe I should be rooting for the Knights to keep it close
Jets up 1-0
Um 2-0
that happened fast
That’s what she said 🤡
lol
Crap
Nice shot
Weak penalty
Should be a fun 3rd period
Yep, good game
Wish the period was 2 seconds longer😊
So I yell IDIOT at niederiter for passing from front of net as Wheeler scores
NICE !!!!
Jets looked good in game 1, Toba.
Sorry, Steve. I’ve been rooting for the Jets once it became clear the Blues season was done.
They hit the skids from January to March … then found their game again and look as good as they did at the beginning of the year.. they will be a tough out for everyone… ALTHOUGH, I seldom put much stock in game one underdog wins
JETS WIN 5-1 😎👍👍👍👍👍
Steve: sorry , Not sorry
