The case for passing on Cook

If/when Minnesota Vikings RB gets released, the Dolphins should just sit back and read about while drinking their morning coffee, as if it’s just another news story, a story they’re not particularly interested in. Cook is a nice player, but he will be asking for money we don’t have, and frankly, I think the guy we drafted in RD 3, De’Von Achane can provide the playmaking ability Cook would bring. It’s not that Cook isn’t a very good player, he is, but RB isn’t our problem. Mostert, Wilson and Acahane can give you the production that Cook can give you. We’d have to overpay to get Cook, some team who really needs him will do that. It happens every year. I feel that Cook is more duplication, although at a higher level, but Cook is also 28, so you overpay for a 28 year old running back? No thanks!

Raheem Mostert actually averaged more yards per carry (4.9 – 4.4) than Dalvin Cook last season. Over their careers, the disparity is greater in favor of Mostert. Cook is not a grinder, a guy that wears down opposing defenses, he’s a similar type runner to what we have. I know we’re close, but we need cap room to sign our own players like DE’s Christian Wilkins and Zach Sieler. Cook is a luxury we cannot afford. We need to also get more from our draft picks. We barely used our first pick last season, LB Channing Tindall. We spent a 3rd RD pick, once again our 1st pick in the draft, on RB De’Von Achane, and RB is the easiest position to transition to the NFL from college football. This kid is going to be electric, and he will keep both Mostert and Wilson fresh. RB by committee is the NFL way now, so few teams rely on one stud back, and the ones that do usually end up losing them for a spell and then need to change their offensive scheme to be competitive.

Our offense is all about our playmakers on the outside, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and then contributions with whomever makes the roster cuts, Berrios, Wilson, Anderson and Ezukanma. We added a lot of blocking at the TE position, gone is the finesse TE Mike Gesicki, and TE’s Durham Smythe, Eric Saubert, and Naples fave Tyler Kroft are here to block. Not a one of them is a dangerous receiving threat, and Head Coach Mike McDaniel vowed to run the ball more, and we will, but between Mostert, Wilson and A-Chain, you won’t miss Dalvin Cook. Who knows, maybe either Tanner Conner of 6th RD draft pick Elijah Higgins will be the receiving terror similar to what George Kittle provided for McDaniel’s offense with the SF 49ers.

Dolphins to sell premium tailgating experiences in Paddock Club

    Mike Masala follow
    June 22, 2023 12:00 pm ET

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has done a lot to make sure that fans attending games and events at Hard Rock Stadium have an outstanding experience, as he’s built up around it, making the Miami Gardens location an attraction in itself.

Now, for upcoming Dolphins games, the team will offer “premium hospitality experiences” inside the Paddock Club, according to Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal.

The Paddock Club was originally built for the F1 Miami Grand Prix that they’ve held for the last two years.

According to Fischer, the team will be selling 18 garage bays on a full-season basis at $15,000-$20,000 per game ($150,000-$200,000 for the year).

Each bay is 1,600 square feet of air-conditioned garage with parking for four vehicles and space for roughly 50 attendees. They’ll also offer food and drinks as well as a variety of other offerings.

“The space exists, and one of the things we wanted to do was create assets that complement each other, and find creative ways to those assets to create value for each other,” said Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel.

Additionally, there will be two new spaces that will fit about 2,800 guests between them. These will be available for season-ticket holders and will cost $125-$500 per person, per game ($1,250-$5,000 for the season).

Dolphins TE says he’s gained 10 pounds of muscle since the end of last season

    Mike Masala
    June 15, 2023 7:40 pm ET

Over the last few months, the Miami Dolphins have essentially overturned their entire tight end room.

Miami allowed Mike Gesicki, the team’s top tight end in recent years, to hit free agency and sign with the New England Patriots. They traded 2021 third-round pick Hunter Long to the Los Angeles Rams as part of the package to acquire cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Special teams contributor Cethan Carter was cut before the league year officially opened and has remained unsigned. And, Adam Shaheen, who missed all of 2022 after a knee issue popped up during a physical, also remains an unsigned free agent.

Only two tight ends remain from last season – Durham Smythe and Tanner Conner. The former is expected to be the team’s starter while the latter will be battling through training camp with Eric Saubert, Tyler Kroft, Elijah Higgins and Julian Hill for opportunities in the regular season.

Conner was an undrafted free agent in 2022 after a collegiate career at Idaho State where he played wide receiver. Like Higgins, this year’s sixth-round selection, he made the transition to tight end at the pro level.

Unfortunately for the former Bengal, he failed to catch a pass in his rookie season. However, in preparing for his second year, Conner told the media at last week’s minicamp that he’s put on roughly 10 pounds of muscle that can be useful for the position.

“Last year was a very stressful year, and I wasn’t eating as well as I should have,” Conner said (transcribed by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel). “So this year, this offseason, I made it a goal to be more routine with my eating. I got in the weight room. I did my whole offseason here with (head strength and conditioning coach Dave Puloka) and the guys.”

It’s not just about the physical stuff, though. Conner also is starting to pick up the intricate aspects of the NFL and Mike McDaniel’s playbook that make adjusting to the league extremely challenging, especially while changing positions.

“Coming into it this year, way more comfortable,” Conner said. “I feel like the game has slowed down for me, at least from a knowledge standpoint. It’s been a big learning curve for me and last year was really rough, but it’s good to see the first-year labor finally start to see improvement this year.”

Luckily for Conner, the role that he’s best suited for appears to be a wide-open competition. He’ll work with but also against Higgins to be the “pass-catching tight end,” potentially playing a role similar to what Gesicki did in 2022.

Tua Tagovailoa and his jiu-jitsu coach watch film of his sacks to improve how he falls
Posted by Michael David Smith on June 22, 2023, 2:22 PM EDT

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been training jiu-jitsu this offseason to learn to fall more safely and avoid his head hitting the ground, which caused at least two concussions last season. And part of that training has entailed watching film not with a football coach, but with a jiu-jitsu coach.

Tagovailoa said he and his jiu-jitsu trainer have been rewatching the film of all the times he was knocked to the ground last season with an eye toward improving the way he falls and keeping his head from hitting the turf.

“It wasn’t tough to watch,” Tagovailoa said, via ESPN. “I want to get better at everything that I can do to help the team win games, and I know the biggest one is my health, staying out on the field. And so looking at the film, I was able to watch that with my jiu-jitsu coach, and we were able to kind of relive the scenario in how I got tackled, how I fell. And it wasn’t just one particular game. It was multiple ways that I got taken down and how I could have prevented that.”

If Tagovailoa can prevent further head injuries, he has the potential to become one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks. And if it works, jiu-jitsu training may become mandatory for quarterbacks around the NFL.

HOW WILL TYREEK HILL’S ASSAULT CHARGES AFFECT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH MIAMI DOLPHINS OR NFL
Posted by Sunil Sonkar | Jun 22, 2023 | Dolphins News

Tyreek Hill, the wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, is now confronted with potential consequences from both the team and the NFL as he prepares to face assault charges. The investigation into the alleged assault at a Miami marina has concluded, establishing Hill’s culpability and heightening apprehensions. This distressing turn of events is compounded by Hill’s prior incidents of violent behavior, sparking deliberations on the necessity of more stringent punishment. Yet, the precise actions that the Miami Dolphins or the NFL will take in response to these charges remain undisclosed, leaving the situation unresolved and filled with uncertainty.

Assault Charges Loom for Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill is currently facing a grave legal situation following an alleged assault that occurred on Father’s Day. According to reports, Hill was involved in a heated altercation with a marina employee at Haulover Marina in Miami. The incident unfolded when Hill and his companions purportedly boarded a boat without obtaining permission, leading to a confrontation with the staff member. Eyewitnesses present at the scene claim that Hill struck the employee on the back of the head. The situation escalated further as Hill allegedly made inflammatory remarks, asserting his ability to purchase the staff member and the boat while emphasizing his status as the number 10 player for the Miami Dolphins. This series of events has placed him in a significant legal predicament, with potential repercussions looming over him.

In light of the incident, the alleged victim has made the decision to formally press charges against Hill. Confirming the severity of the situation, the Miami-Dade Police have stated that charges will be filed, signaling the initiation of legal proceedings for Hill. While the identities of both Hill and the victim have not been disclosed in the incident report, this significant turn of events amplifies the gravity of the matter, as Hill now confronts the potential consequences and legal implications resulting from the allegations.

The alleged assault involving Hill raises significant concerns, not only regarding the specific incident but also due to his previous instances of violent behavior. These prior incidents contribute to ongoing discussions about the necessity for more stringent punishments. However, the Miami Dolphins and the NFL have yet to determine their actions in response to the charges. As a result, the situation remains uncertain, leaving both organizations grappling with the challenging task of addressing the distressing situation appropriately. Their primary objective is to ensure that the necessary measures are implemented and to determine the most suitable course of disciplinary action, aiming to uphold accountability and preserve the integrity of the league.

What Else Can We Learn About the Incident

Of particular interest is the mention in the incident report that the alleged altercation involving Tyreek Hill was captured on surveillance video. However, the public has yet to gain access to any footage that could provide insight into the incident. The existence of this potentially crucial video footage raises questions about its potential significance in determining the facts surrounding the alleged assault. As the investigation progresses, anticipation grows regarding this video evidence’s potential impact on the case.

Reports indicate that the police have informed the alleged victim that pursuing criminal charges, in this case, would require them to visit the state attorney’s office personally. This procedural requirement underscores the ongoing legal process and emphasizes the significance of meticulously examining and evaluating the evidence before reaching any conclusions. The fact that the alleged victim is actively engaged in pursuing criminal charges reflects their dedication to seeking justice and holding those responsible for their actions accountable. It serves as a testament to the gravity of the allegations and reinforces the importance of conducting a comprehensive and unbiased investigation to ensure a fair resolution.

The Miami Dolphins’ response to the incident involved releasing a brief statement in which they acknowledged the occurrence without divulging additional information. The statement indicated that the organization is cognizant of the situation and has been in contact with Tyreek Hill, his representatives, and the NFL. By opting not to provide further comments, the Dolphins demonstrate their recognition of the sensitive and intricate nature of the matter at hand. The decision to maintain silence on the issue leaves room for uncertainty regarding any potential disciplinary measures that Hill may face from the team or the league. This ambiguity surrounding the consequences adds to the speculation and conjecture surrounding the possible outcomes for Hill in light of his actions.

    Verdict

Tyreek Hill finds himself in a precarious situation with the assault charges as both the Miami Dolphins and the NFL contemplate potential consequences. The investigation into the alleged assault has concluded, establishing Hill’s culpability and raising concerns due to his history of violent behavior. However, the specific actions that the team and the league will take remain undisclosed, leaving the situation uncertain. The presence of surveillance video footage, along with the alleged victim’s decision to press charges and the ongoing legal process, further complicate the case. The Miami Dolphins and the NFL face the challenge of addressing the incident appropriately, determining the suitable course of action, and maintaining accountability while safeguarding the league’s integrity.

If the event had been really bad, then we’d already know that, and then things would be bad.

If nothing has happened, it’s because not much happened, so that’s good for Tyreek.

    “establishing culpability”?
I think only a trial can do that. A news report of “an investigation of an alleged … ” can not establish culpability.

The following excerpt is so full of BS that it is completely worthless, but its tone is ominous even though it’s completely without support.

I mean, jeez, they just got in from a day out on the ocean deep sea fishing with his agent.

Assault has ALWAYS been an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent

What Hill is should actually be charged with is “battery” which is the unlawful physical contact against the victims will.

Beasley could see the Dolphins adding $3-5 million in incentives in Cook’s potential deal that would reward him for playing a big role on Miami going on a title run.

Lol…so who’s been to Peru and has a recommendation for a place to go to from Lima besides Machu Pichu and tourists?

Cusco has some cool ruins, as does Ollantaytambo (base of Machu Pichu)

We landed in Lima, and continued on to Cusco, from what I saw from the plane Lima was like a war zone, don’t suggest going there

Cusco had armed police around the city on sidewalks, but I was told by locals it was safe

There’s a hotel on the side of the mountain between Cusco and Ollantaytambo that was pretty cool looking, like tents hanging off the cliff

      ——————–
I went in 2001. Steve nailed it on the head. Cusco is a tourist attraction. Though, 2 females from our group took a wrong road to hotel, got lost and mugged.

I was also supposed to be stationed there in the mid 90’s at a Naval Medical Research Institute in Lima. There were only a few areas we would be allowed to live as dictated by the embassy. The embassy was the reason I lost by billet down there and ended up going back to serve with the Marines instead. the ambassador needed to create more jobs for spouses so they civilianized the job I was going to do.

Anyway, that was 22 years ago. A lot could have changed.

If you go to Cusco, it’s elevation is about 11,000-12,ooo feet. Many of the hotels I remember will serve coca leaf tea. They say the “simulant” properties alleviate high altitude headache.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Yeah and he’s most important. When you think about our OL, we know we have a stud in Armstead when he stays on the field. Williams is a quality interior OL along with Hunt. We need two guys to step up and then figure out the best depth we can.

  41. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

JMO, but I think trading Ced Wilson is going to be the key to making everything happen. We could be in a stalemate on that front until TC and the preseason, where a team or two have a WR go out for a length of time.

I guess the question becomes: what are we willing to do now with the current $$$ we have?

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Ced Wilson is not an easy trade for all the reasons we’ve discussed before. What team is trading for his contract?

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

The team that has a major WR injured during now and the start of the NFL season. Our return will not be very good, but it wipes out Wilson’s contract.

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I’d have to say at this time I can’t see us ridding ourselves of his contract this year. Don’t think Wilson is viewed as a WR that will save a team’s season and especially not at that price. Picking up a portion of his contract and getting a future draft pick doesn’t help us this year either.

HISTORY LESSON: One of the Dolphins’ most memorable victories at New England came in the month of October — Oct. 17, 1999, to be precise. On that remarkable day at what was then called Foxboro Stadium, the Dolphins fell behind 14-0 on two interception returns for touchdowns and Dan Marino was knocked out of the game on the second one. Damon Huard took over at quarterback and overcame nine sacks against him to engineer a remarkable comeback, securing a 31-30 victory when he threw a game-winning 5-yard touchdown pass to fullback Stanley Pritchett with 23 seconds left.

    WORDS OF WISDOM:

    In 1923, Who Was:

    1. President of the largest steel company?
    2. President of the largest gas company?
    3. President of the New York stock Exchange?
    4. Greatest wheat speculator?
    5. President of the Bank of International Settlement?
6.. Great Bear of Wall Street?

These men were considered some of the world’s most successful of their days.

Now, 80 years later, the history book asks us, if we know what ultimately became of them.

    The Answers:

    1. The president of the largest steel company.
    Charles Schwab,

    Died a pauper.

    2. The president of the largest gas company,
    Edward Hopson,

    Went insane.

    3. The president of the NYSE,
    Richard Whitney,

    Was released from prison
    To die at home.

    4. The greatest wheat speculator,
    Arthur Cooger,

    Died abroad, penniless.

    5. The president of
    The Bank of International Settlement,

    Shot himself.

6 The Great Bear of Wall Street,
    Cosabee Livermore,

    Also committed suicide

    However,

In that same year, 1923, the PGA Champion
And the winner of the most important golf tournament,
    The US Open,
    was

    Gene Sarazen.

    What became of him?

He played golf until he was 92,
Died in 1999 at the age of 95.
    He was financially secure
At the time of his death.

Steve, I have always disagreed with that line of thinking. If you can run the ball successfully then it should not matter at all what the defense is doing. So what the other team has an 8 minute drive (must be running the ball to consume that much time!) go ahead and use as much time as you need running.

Now when you get behind several scores (Scores not time of possession) that is when you almost HAVE to throw the ball and forget the run.

What the defense does should not have any baring on how much a team runs IMO.

CAN COACHING CHANGES IGNITE TRANSFORMATION FOR THE MIAMI DOLPHINS’ OFFENSIVE LINE
    Posted by Sunil Sonkar | Jun 28, 2023 | Dolphins News | 0

For more than a decade, the offensive line of the Miami Dolphins has been a hindrance rather than a facilitator of the team’s success. The shortcomings, injuries, and overall dysfunction have limited the quarterback’s protection, stagnated the run game, and constrained play-calling. As the 2023 season approaches, it is crucial to assess whether the offseason moves made by Miami’s decision-makers have addressed the issues and transformed the offensive line into a catalyst for the team’s triumph.

Will the New Offensive Line Coach Propel the Team to Success?

The appointment of Butch Barry as the new offensive line coach sparks optimism, yet lingering concerns persist. Barry’s affiliation with renowned O-line coach Chris Foerster, who played a crucial role in mentoring Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, holds promise. Nonetheless, the question arises as to whether the players can successfully adapt to Barry’s coaching style and elevate their performance accordingly.

Who Are the Impactful Additions to the Miami Dolphins Offensive Line?

The Miami Dolphins have significantly added their offensive line through free agency and the draft. Isaiah Wynn, Dan Feeney, Cedric Ogbuehi, and Ryan Hayes bring a combined wealth of experience, having started in 139 games collectively. This infusion of seasoned players strengthens the unit’s overall depth and addresses the lack of stability that has plagued the offensive line in previous seasons.

While each of these players has faced their own individual challenges, their track records demonstrate the capability to step up and perform as starters when called upon. Their accumulated experience and familiarity with the demands of playing on the offensive line provide the Dolphins with valuable options and increased flexibility. By adding these players to the roster, Miami has taken a proactive approach to bolstering the offensive line, ensuring they have reliable and competent individuals who can step into starting roles when needed. This newfound stability and depth are vital for the team’s success, instilling confidence in the offensive line’s ability to protect the quarterback and create opportunities for the running game to thrive.

    …continued from above…

Who Will Anchor the Miami Dolphins’ Offensive Line?

Terron Armstead, a highly talented offensive lineman, has consistently showcased his skills by earning Pro Bowl recognition. Armstead stands out as the unit’s top performer when he is healthy and on the field, providing a reliable and dominant presence. However, concerns arise due to his recurring injuries, which have raised doubts about his long-term durability and effectiveness. The Dolphins must carefully assess Armstead’s health and weigh the risks of relying heavily on a player with an injury history.

Additionally, the impending free agency of three projected starters—Connor Williams, Robert Hunt, and Austin Jackson—creates a complex situation for the Dolphins’ offensive line stability. The team faces the challenge of determining the foundational pieces for their line and making crucial decisions regarding long-term contracts. These players play crucial roles in the offensive line’s success, and securing their services beyond their impending free agency becomes a significant priority. The Dolphins must carefully evaluate their performances, weigh their potential, and negotiate deals that ensure the team’s long-term success and continuity in the offensive line unit.

How Can Miami Dolphins Address Weak Links?

Within the Miami Dolphins offensive line, left guard and right tackle have emerged as problematic positions that require attention. Austin Jackson’s struggles as a starter have been evident, raising concerns about his ability to perform consistently and effectively. Additionally, Cedric Ogbuehi’s competition for the right tackle spot further emphasizes the need for improvement in that position. The Dolphins must address these specific areas of weakness to bolster the overall performance of the offensive line and provide better protection for the quarterback.

Improving the left guard position is crucial as it directly impacts the run game’s success and the offensive line’s overall cohesiveness. Finding a player who can provide stability and consistent performance in this position will be key to Miami’s offensive success. Similarly, solidifying the right tackle spot is vital to ensure adequate pass protection and maintain a balanced offensive attack. Competitions and evaluations during training camp and preseason will play a significant role in determining the best options for these positions and implementing necessary changes to enhance the performance of the offensive line as a whole.

….Can Miami’s Offensive Line Survive the Injury Bug?

Recognizing the detrimental effects injuries can have on an offensive line’s performance, the Miami Dolphins have proactively tackled this concern by enhancing their depth. Including seasoned backups Isaiah Wynn and Dan Feeney serves as a crucial insurance policy against potential injuries to the starting linemen. With their extensive experience and expertise, these veteran players bring a wealth of knowledge to the team, fortifying the offensive line and ensuring its resilience in challenging situations.

Furthermore, the Dolphins have demonstrated their commitment to bolstering their offensive line depth by cross-training Liam Eichenberg to play center. This strategic move enhances Eichenberg’s versatility and provides an additional option in case of injuries or performance issues at the center position. Additionally, the emergence of Robert Jones as a versatile backup guard further solidifies the Dolphins’ offensive line unit. Jones’s ability to play both left and right guard positions adds depth and flexibility to the line, ensuring that the team has capable replacements ready to step in if needed. With these measures in place, the Dolphins have built a more robust and resilient offensive line that can withstand potential injuries and maintain its effectiveness throughout the season.

    Verdict

The Miami Dolphins offensive line enters the 2023 season with a mix of optimism and concerns. The appointment of Butch Barry as the new offensive line coach brings hope for improvement, but the players’ ability to adapt to his coaching style remains a question. The team has made significant off-season additions to bolster the unit’s depth and address stability issues. However, challenges include the durability of key players, impending free agency, and the need to address weak links at left guard and right tackle. By carefully evaluating and making strategic decisions, the Dolphins can transform their offensive line into a catalyst for success, ensuring consistent performance, protecting the quarterback, and driving the team’s overall success.

REPORT: TYREEK HILL OFFERED VICTIM $200 AFTER INCIDENT TOOK PLACE
    Posted by Mike Oliva | Jun 28, 2023 | Dolphins News | 0

Angie DiMichele of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Tyreek Hill offered the 57-year-old victim at the Marina $200 after allegedly slapping the worker on the neck and back of the head.

Per DiMichele, “The man who was at the dock with Hill told the employee Hill wanted to apologize. When he came out of the office, he heard Hill telling his “associate” to give him $200, the report said. The employee didn’t take the money, and Hill left shortly after.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage that recorded the arguments, which backed up the boat captain’s and employee’s accounts, the report said. The employee identified Hill as the man who slapped him in a photo lineup, and officers referred him to the State Attorney’s Office to pursue charges.

The report said the police department handed their case over to a prosecutor on June 22.”

The story has made national headlines since it took place on June 18th. Per the police report and Sun-Sentinel article, “The man didn’t know he was slapped by the highest-paid receiver in the NFL. Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill offered him $200 with his apology, according to a Miami-Dade Police report.

A supplemental report the South Florida Sun Sentinel obtained through a public records request Wednesday gives more details about what led to the alleged slap Hill planted on the neck of a fishing charter company employee at the Bill Bird Marina in Haulover Park on Father’s Day.

Ed Griffith, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, said in an email Monday that they are reviewing the case.”

More details of the case have become public since the June 18th incident. Per the Sun-Sentinal article, “Two women in Hill’s group joined them and got on a private docked fishing boat. The boat’s captain had just returned from the marina’s gas station and found them, the report said. He told them to get off. Hill “claimed he was being disrespected,” the boat captain told police.” The financial offer of $200 Hill made came after Hill had to be restrained and the 57 year old worker ran back into his office and locked the door as he was afraid. The Sun-Sentinel said, “As the commotion between Hill and the boat captain continued, the Kelley Fishing Fleet employee left the office and walked over. Hill walked by him and slapped the man on the back of his head and neck, he told officers.

One of the men in Hill’s group restrained Hill, who struggled to get out of the grip, the report said. The employee ran back into the office and locked the door, afraid.”

When you have a bell cow RB, and he’s out a week or 2, it’s almost as bad as losing your QB

For that reason, along with high salary, I don’t like them

I just read an article (that I didn’t post) about Cook’s injury history and missing an average of 3.2 games a season the last four years and production going down in subsequent years to the present.

I worn out “bell cow” might be worse. Not sure what we offered him (as reported), but….I guess he hasn’t accepted or is still considering.

Phelon, I am just flying there and back in the same day (July 10th) to go walk through a hotel to see the existing conditions before we put a bid in on the remodel. It’s a pain in the ass and it sucks because it is all political theater. We know we are not going to get the job, the owners have told us they are going to give it to another contractor but they need us to submit a bid because they are a publicly traded company and there are minimum requirements that need to be met. (we don’t even have the ability to take on this project when it is scheduled to start) But they are a good client that gives us lots of work so we have to make these political sacrifices (with MY personal time!)

And maybe some comp time as well?
And maybe bill the client for a 9.5 escort to drive / show you around DC? You know, just to improve the mood of the man putting the pseudo bid together so it smells good?

    • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

Understand the bid process. We’ve put bids in things that we didn’t want just so the feds could have two proposals. It’s the only time I write a bad proposal. Next time then. I probably should buy you a beer to make up for all the grief I give you.

So you insult someone’s lady friends on Fathers Day after he’s been out fishing all day with business associates, and when he responds with a “c’mon man” type backslap, you run like a wuss and sniffle “lawsuit” instead of saying “sorry buddy, but that’s a private boat.”

  93. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Hill reportedly told the guy that he could buy HIM AND THE BOAT if he wanted to (before offering him $200 later)

Yeah, I would press charges too. NO MFER you CANNOT buy me and you are not better than me, see you in court.

I don’t want the Dolphins to be negatively impacted by this BS misbehavior of an entitled thug, but he needs to be pulled up short. I believe the Reek needs another life lesson.
