    This is concerning.

Since the start of the 2017 season, the Dolphins are 1-14 when the kickoff temperature is at 45 degrees or below and that includes an 0-4 record with Mike McDaniel as their coach. As things stand now, the temperature for this game is expected to be right around 45 degrees at kickoff.

    LOVE IT!

I still can’t believe the 2010 San Diego Chargers had the #1 Offense and the #1 Defense… and still managed to miss the playoffs that season (9-7 record).

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Now unlike the ’10 Chargers, we’ve proven we can win in the clutch, we can win close games, and we can hang with the best teams in the league.

Remember… if it weren’t for the freak ‘Reek fumble returned for a TD when we played the Chefs* in Germany, we probably would have beaten the returning Super Bowl champs earlier in the season.

  15. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

M13, you made a good point why historical stats mean nothing in the present. Every day is different. Different people are involved.

I wasn’t aware of the 2010 Chargers being #1 on both sides of the ball and not making the playoffs. Something very bizarre happened there and of course it was them.😂

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Norv Turner was their HC and they looked so very good on paper and with their eye-popping stats. But when the going got tough, they crumbled.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Niners DL is better than ours. That doesn’t mean we can’t stop Lamar but it won’t be because we have better talent. We don’t

It’s all about matchups, 49ers seemed too slow to contain Lamar

49ers are more physical up front, but not by much, we at least with Phillips are faster and AVG is a good replacement

49ers biggest problem was Purdy stunk up the joint, his lack of athleticism and arm talent was why he was Mr. Irrelevant and seems to hold them back at times

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I think you definitely have to take the JAX D. They are at home vs the Panthers. They are fighting for not only their division but a playoff spot.

What scares me about Tua is the injured thumb on his throwing hand. He could be off this game with it affecting his grip against a very good Ravens D. This is not the same Ravens D we had the miracle come from behind win on.

Bucs are at home trying to win their division. That’s not saying much though.

I can’t recall where I heard it (presser, Hard Knocks, media show like Rich Eisen, etc), but Coach McDaniel was asked about the TE position in Miami… how there’s not an explosive player at the position.

Coach’s answer: that’s the next phase of our Offensive install. I don’t believe it was ‘coach speak’ either… the way he answered the question was an acknowledgment of a weak spot while suggesting that an upgrade would make a big difference in game situations.

That being said, I believe we’ll either draft a stud TE, trade for a stud TE, or maybe even develop Chase Claypool into a stud TE. YES, Claypool would make for a stud TE with his size, speed, length, blocking ability, and… if he’s willing to make the change.

  41. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Sunday’s showdown is a matchup of the NFL’s No. 1 and No. 2 pass rushes. The Ravens have the NFL’s most sacks (54) through 16 weeks. But they’re ahead of the Dolphins, who have 52, only because someone on Miami’s defense lets a sack slip through his fingers seemingly every game.

  42. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

The Dolphins rank first in pressure rate (28.7%), have the NFL’s most QB hits (129), and the league’s top quarterback knockdown rate (13%).

Dolphins are also eighth in missed tackles on the season (100).

Unfortunately I don’t have a recording of it. I was watching “Dolphins Today” on Bally Sports and at the end of the show they were showing highlights and as they were setting up to kick the finial FG he was strutting as he does on the sideline, except he was 2′ into the field of play, along with one of his assistants.

I’ve seen teams / coaches walk on the field as the clock runs out often as the game is ostensibly over but that was not the case. The final play had not snapped yet.

Yes, if we lose out, we would be on the road as a WC team anyway BUT, with a Browns win we will be more than likely on the road to face Buffalo again in Buffalo as the Chiefs would have the better conference record than the Bills if the Chiefs win out.

A Browns loss would have more than likely made us the #1 WC and on the road to face either the JAGS, Colts or Texans.

IF this happens, we will be in Buffalo and the future cast shows high of 32 and snow that first playoff weekend in Buffalo.
