Draft creeping up – Dolphins fans celebrate supposed demise of Bills

Ding dong the Bills are dead, the wicked Bills are dead!. Actually, NO. OK, the Bills traded a very talented WR away to the Houston Texans. While Stefon Diggs had a productive season last year for the Bills, his 2nd half performance was way down from the first half. In the first 9 games last season, Diggs had 70 receptions for 870 yards and 3 TD’s, including five 100 yard performances. In the next 9, which includes the playoff game against the Steelers, Diggs didn’t manage one 100 yard receiving game, and had only 1 TD reception. The Bills have 10 total picks in the 2024 draft, one 1st RD (#28), one 2nd RD (#60), one compensatory 4th RD pick (#133), three 5th RD picks (#144, #160 and #163), two 6th RD picks (#200 and #204) and finally one 7th RD pick (#248). They’re not going to find a WR in this draft that is capable of playing to the level of Diggs immediately, but they can still find an impact WR that can help this team, without carrying the selfish, negative impact on the locker room. Plus, as I always stress, the Bills still have QB Josh Allen, who is a relentless warrior and certainly has the Dolphins number.

Back to our Dolphins. I was listening to WQAM this morning, as I try to do as often as I can to the Joe Rose Show. Omar Kelly was co-hosting with Joe Rose, and they briefly discussed the draft, and in particular, Chris Grier’s mindset on the draft. I’ll paraphrase and summarize for you, Omar Kelly insinuated that Chris Grier will draft the best player available (BPA) period. No position will hold any favor, whomever they have graded the highest, that’s who he’s taking. I’ll go ahead and call bullshit on that. Is it possible? Of course. Is it logical? Of course not. You don’t make a trade for a WR (Tyreek Hill)who is the highest salary on the roster ($31M cap hit 2024), and then say we’re building the roster responsibly for the future. If we’re building, you don’t let 2 of your best players on their respective lines (DT/DE Christian Wilkins) and (RG Robert Hunt) leave in free agency. Next season, Tyreek Hill’s cap hit is $34M. There’s nothing responsible building for the future about that. It’s irresponsible, unless you’re going for it all in a small window. With huge question marks on the D-line, and even on the O-line, considering the injury track records of LT Terron Armstead and LG Isaiah Wynn who never play a whole season. We have a lot of depth on the O-line, but how much quality remains to be seen. On the D-line, we don’t have a replacement for Christian Wilkins no matter what defense we’re running. You can’t put Sieler and 2 guys who don’t play a lot of snaps and don’t make the slightest threat of getting to the QB on that line and expect it to work. In other words, if Grier takes a WR in RD1, I’m going to flip.

Another issue we have with this artificial win now mode is we have players coming up for contracts. S Jevon Holland is in the final year of his rookie contract. The knee injuries suffered last season hurt us, because Holland has been an impact player for us. If he’s healthy, and has a good season, we’re going to need to pay him. OLB Jaelan Phillips will be on his 4th year contract, and if he plays well this season, don’t expect him to want to play on his 5th year option. Most of the offensive linemen are on one year contracts. Next year, Armstead is retiring. Isaiah Wynn is a 1YR contract. OC Aaron Brewer and RT Austin Jackson are the only starting O-line guys on multiple year contracts. We’re going to have to bring in a whole bunch of guys for the O-line next season. Same goes for the D-line. Only Zach Sieler is under contract beyond this season. Benito Jones and Da’Shawn Hand are both one year contracts. While some of you are oohing and aahing at all these signings, it’s a band aid. Not even real Johnson & Johnson Band Aids, they’re just cheap adhesive bandages. Again, we take a WR with our first pick I’m gonna lose it! We need quality players on the D-line and O-line for this year and beyond. You want to pay $25M per season for a guy like Robert Hunt next season? $30M per season for a guy like Christian Wilkins next year? The salaries just keep going higher my friends, this season was nothing new, nothing different.

So, less than 3 weeks away, Chris Grier better be looking real hard at fixing those trenches, both sides. As you know, my feeling is the D-line is the priority, but it’s razor thin over the O-line, or an OLB/Pass rusher. As I stressed a moment ago, it’s not just this season, but next season a lot of the players on both the O-line and D-line disappear next season. In the 2025 draft, we have our regular picks in rounds 1 through 4, we have two 5th RD picks, no 6th RD pick, and two 7th RD picks. In addition, we should get a 3rd RD compensatory pick for Christian Wilkins and maybe a 5th RD compensatory pick or better for Robert Hunt. The other issue on the docket is QB. We have yet to give QB Tua Tagovailoa the huge contract that is supposed to be happening. If we don’t get that done, then we’re either paying him after the season, or looking for a new QB. A lot of dominoes have to fall, but right now, we need to start building those trenches, and do it wisely, through the draft.

Confession: I’m MUCH more satisfied with the depth of the O-Line in this class, as opposed to the depth of the D-Line in this class.

Everytime I choose an O-Lineman in the 1st round, I bristle at what’s left on the D-Line @ R2P55. Braden Fiske would be very ideal @ 55, but I’m afraid he’s going to be long gone by the time we pick… he’s trending upward.

My thought? It really may serve us better to go D-Line @ 21 for three reasons…

    1. Get one of the top guys in an attempt to replace Wilkins
    2. DTs are more valueable than IOL
    3. There are PLENTY of quality O-Linemen available @ 55 this year

M13, did you ever check out that safety the Dolphins brought in on a private visit, Calen Bullock?

Yes, and I’m not overly impressed. He doesn’t suck, but he doesn’t stand out to me at all.

Thanks! I am really up in the air on who I like outside of Nubin and Kinchens as far as 2nd/3rd(in trade) round goes. A little later, I like Oladapo and Mustapha.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

You’re welcome, man! I’m very high on Oladapo and Mustapha isn’t far behind in terms of day 3 guys.

  3. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Now this is just my little opinion… but IF all of Graham Barton, JPJ, Johnny Newton, and Byron Murphy (and/or perhaps a player we’re really targeting) are still on the board @ R1P21, we’d be foolish not to trade down (if possible) a few spots to regain our lost 3rd rounder.

We’d still end up with the BPA meshing with our needs and be better off for it.

The way you guys explain the trade down to take advantage of the deep DT class is great and sHouLd get us one of the best safeties or a sleeper at EDGE.

    BUT

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I do not believe this class is very deep at DT. I believe this class is LOADED with O-Line talent through 3 rounds.

      • naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

well I meant there are about 4 or 5 really good DTs all set to go between #20 # 30

and we could still get a good OL in the 2nd.

I know what you’re saying is that there won’t be any stud DTs left at #55, so we need to go DT in the first, and OL can wait till the 2nd.

I was trying to agree with you on that.

  10. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

What team would be the trade partner?

we shouldn’t drop to SF or KC picks cause all the guys we would want would be gone.

we can’t swap with Bills or Lions or Vikes because they don’t have 3rd round picks to give us.

  11. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Eagles also don’t have a third,

but they also wouldn’t give that much to go up just 1 spot.

That leaves the Bucs and Cards and Pack and Cowboys.

  12. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

The Boys and Pack have #88 & #89 in the 3rd.

That’s pretty low for us to want real bad but better than waiting till the 5th.

    • naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

      excuse me

… that was supposed to say Bucs and Boys and Pack have #87-89.

but the Packers and TB also have 91 and 92

so they might not mind giving one up as much.

  13. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

The Cards pick 4th so there’s probably no need for them to trade up to 21 from 27.

but they also have 2 3rds. I’d love to snag their juicy pick 71.

they pick second in the 3rd, so maybe if we gave them a 6th they’d do it.

  14. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

I left out trading for DT with the Ravens because of Weaver having been the DL coach there last year.

Not sure the Ravens are too happy about him going to a big rival, so then also asking them to give him with a bright young star at his position group might be asking way too much.

Keep hearing good things about Tart, I’m going to take it as a wash for losing Raekwon, but in reality he’ll be playing more of Wilkins’ reps

Still think some of our issues against good teams had to do with the amount of reps Sieler and Wilkins got, you can still thrive against weaker comp, but once it gets much tougher you just don’t have that extra gear left

Michael Jordan coasted for 3 qtrs, then came alive in the 4th

We see lots of guys with great stats per snap, but once the reps increase the avg per snap declines

I believe we’ll benefit from a rotation against better teams

  32. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I wanted to try a draft where I took Cooper DeJean (to play safety) early. I paid the price on OL availability after that pick

  33. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Grief continues to fill the roster with 1 year signings of “never wases” Let Wilkins walk, and replace him with Tart who had serious attitude issues.

After getting locked down by the Titans on a one-year tender, Tart didn’t do much to hide his displeasure with the team. He was kicked out of a practice in August and seemed to frustrate coaches as the 2023 season went on. Finally, in December he was waived by the Titans and tweeted that he requested the move.

According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, it was Tart’s lackluster “effort and attitude” that ultimately resulted in the tackle getting waived.

While he was claimed by the Texans, Tart appeared in only two games with the team and was a healthy scratch during Houston’s postseason run.

    • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I’m seriously not impressed with Tart’s on-field performance either. Again, the most he’s ever been on the field in a single season was 47%.

Now that works if we’re doing a rotation on the D-Line, but he still lacks at defending against the run.

I could see him being cut before the season even begins.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

If Tart can’t be coached-up by our D-coaches, he could possibly be a total waste of our time.

Ryder had a video on him, showing the (very limited) highlights/promise of what Tart could bring, but I highly doubt he brings it 100%, coupled with his attitude.

  35. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

M13, what I’ve read about Tart’s production is the opposite of what you’re saying about him.

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I suppose it’s where one gets their data from. Most obviously, if the data comes from a ‘rah-rah’ Phins forum, Tart is absolutely glorious. Then (from non-Phins forums and data points), the converse applies.

To be clear, I think he could be good for our D-Line rotation in spelling our starters. However, it would seem that’s all he’s good for.

Yes, we NEED that kind of player: I hope we didn’t overpay him.

      • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I view Tart as a ‘3rd and long’ situational pass-rusher from the interior.

What if I told ya that we could have an interior pass-rusher, regardless of down and distance, on nearly every snap, next to Sieler?

  36. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I’d be just fine taking a S in the first if they truly feel the value is there. Safety is usually a core position because they’re like the Center of the defense or just the secondary. I don’t know if it’s still that way nowadays, but good safety who can get people lined up the way they should be can be huge. And, it’s a position of need anyway. Just get a good player. Who cares what position it is?

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We have Holland and Poyer and if we move Ramsey around at times, not sure safety is a position to be drafted early. Does this draft have big time safeties?

  37. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

It does seem to me that we may be going more rotation on the DL.

  38. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

there’s probably a good reason Tart was available when he was

so I would be surprised if he didn’t have a lot of warts

but that also supports the idea of not having a superstar at the position

when we draft well (and I think that is need to is) we are going to have to let good players we drafted go

I’m more worried about next years free agents than Wilkins

    Waddle, Phillips and Holland

also as of right now: Tua is a free agent next year

is there a workable scenario when you keep Wilkins and Robert Hunt and then also keep all those guys

1 year deals on a guy with an inconsistent history makes sense in a lot of ways

  41. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Tim,

I guess when I think about drafting I don’t think about the coming season. I think long term. Poyer is an aging vet. Sure, he might still have some solid football left in him, but he’s not a long term solution. Holland may or may not even be here from the sounds of things, so whether or not he’s a long term solution is yet to be determined. Ramsey isn’t a safety, so I don’t even consider him in my thinking. Who knows? We may have yet another DC next year who decides never to play him at safety. Add to that really nothing in the cupboard, and I see nothing but holes, Mr.!!! Lol

  42. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    M13,

Well, if our DC is actually going to play 3 safety looks a lot, it follows that you want safeties who can cover over big hitters. That would suggest they look more at FS. I can’t say what they feel they have in house and what weakness they may want to address. I don’t care if they draft a safety in the first. It’s not what I’d do, but I understand the need and the impact a really good safety can have. Or, do they draft a corner who can play safety? Such as…ahem…Cooper DeJean! I think DeJean could develop into a Harrison Smith type. He played safety early in his career.

  43. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We have 9 DL currently on the roster. After the draft and final cutdowns it will probably be 5-6 of them left. With all the nickel that gets played and Edge defenders, I’d say the max DL we keep is 6-7.

  44. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

the thing about Tart is that we went after him and signed him in spite of already having signed 5 or 6 DTs, so somebody in our FO or coaching staff sees something they like a lot.

I heard we guaranteed money to Gallimore and Benito and it seems we like Hand, and then there’s Harris that has good rep, so maybe that’s the crew with Sieler if we keep 6 and play all 6 so nobody gets gassed. That leaves Pili on the PS. Mack and Nixon look like long shots.

Now if we draft Johnny, that bumps somebody else like Harris off the 53.

We need at least 2 DL that can handle NT duties and then 4 who can play multiple techniques. We’re going to need 4 edge and at least 5 off the ball LBs, and 10 DBs. That’s 25. That leaves 25 on offense and 3 STs – K, P and LS.

  45. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I find it amusing that all these commentators out there that think Tua doesn’t deserve a massive contract are just haters. Why would that be? There are so many different guys, why on earth would they hate Tua?

The simple answer is – They don’t.

They’re just speaking their mind, giving their opinion on the situation. Tua defenders automatically cry foul. It’s an illness. Leading the league in passing yards doesn’t win championships. Beating the good teams and the bad teams does. Winning big games does. Tua wants to win, he will seemingly do anything. He put on a lot of weight to help with his durability. This season he took off the weight and is looking to be quicker. Maybe this is the year he puts it all together. I hope it is. I still don’t pay him though until he does it

  46. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

FWIW – Adam Beasley was on WQAM this morning. He thinks the Dolphins priority is an OT that will play OG this season and be in line to play LT next season. He also thinks an OLB/pass rusher is more likely than DT/DE. He said while no one we got on the D-line is a star, he feels the pass rush will predominantly be coming from the OLB’s, and since Phillips and Chubb may not be ready early, Dolphins need to find a player to get the job done while those guys are rehabbing, getting ready.

    • naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

trouble with that is you’re asking a college star LT (First Rounder) to play RG for a year.

      A) why would he want to do that? Why piss off your First Round pick?

      B) not all OT are built to play OG as the prototype bodies aren’t the same.

      C) what if he is mediocre or sucks at OG? … we already have a meh guy at OG, so why waste a #1 pick?

      D) what if the position change blows his confidence or gets him hurt or just messes up his learning curve? That’s happened before, and some guys never get right.

Between Armstead and Lamm we have LT covered, so we can wait a year and get a prolong the time before we have to pay the rookie.

Let’s get a guy who can come in and start for us at his position, start learning, and make some plays for us.

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Trouble with not doing it is you’d be pigeon-holed into drafting an OT next year in the 1st, then playing a rookie at LT

Tunsil had Albert’s next to him to tutor him his rookie season, while he played LG

If he sucks at OG you redshirt him, no big deal, we have enough OGs to pick up the slack

  48. Randy's avatar Randy says:

    Naples,

None of that stuff worries me about drafting an OT other than he may not work at guard. That can happen sometimes. I’d draft a center anyway. It’s more important to Tua’s protection, and for the whole OL overall. A weak center means a weak OL….especially when you have poor guards….which we do.

    • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

We’ve already played our hand at C, Brewer was signed to be our starting C, he’s too small to play OG, he’s mentioned he’s more of a fit at C

      • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

He’s too small to stand up to a NT H2H too, so he will always need help from the OG which in turn limits what the OG can do otherwise. Brewer was TERRIBLE in pass blocking, might as well be wearing rollerskates. He is athletic and “fast” for an Oline-man but is easily bowled over by the big nasty DT’s he went up against. I hope they are not depending on him developing. It’s OK for fans to hope, but the GM should not run the team based upon hope. FIRE THE BUM

  49. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

counter argument on behalf of the national media about Tua

the reality is opinions are split on this topic

if we are going to say the other guys are right bc they are biased Dolphins/Tua fans you have to explain this

  50. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I saw this on Twitter today

if he is a 2nd rounder, he might make a great pick for us

he can probably play OG and eventually play center down the line if Brewer is not up to the task

  51. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Naples – It’s not an uncommon way to go about it with OT’s playing inside until they’re ready to for NFL speed. Once you get past the best OT’s in the draft, a lot of those guys project inside anyway. We do need O-line help either way, most of our guys are gone next year. Armstead, Wynn, Jones, Lamm, Smith, all gone next season

  52. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I know a few of you aren’t very high in the Brewer signing

but two things that are notable

    1. He is durable. He’s missed very few games over his career.
    2. our OL was lacking consistency last season

We aren’t done on the OL as far as the draft is concerned

personally I wouldn’t not take a center in round 1 – especially after the brewer signing

I think some one that can play OT down the line but play OG is ideal as our first pick

my favorites are Barton and Fautanu are my two favorites

but the other thing we have some flexibility to do is to take a center like Powers-Johnson or Zack Frazier if they are available in the 2nd

No matter what you think of him, we already have one versatile OL in Eichenberg

so we have a little bit of room to work with

  53. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Piggy – I guess it depends on what perspective you look at Tua from. If you value the great play he’s had against bad teams, and just think he’ll get over the hump against the good teams and big games, then you think he should get paid. If you think he’s not capable of elevating his game against good teams and in big games, then you don’t.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I think the right perspective is to look at the whole picture instead of how he played against good or bad teams only

I also don’t think signing him prevents us from Drafting a QB within the next couple of years. If you are looking to replace him, and you want to use the draft instead of a trade or a free agent, which is generally the only way you find a franchise QB – your draftee is going to be on his rookie contract for the length of Tua’s extension anyway

if Tua is the same Tua he was in 24 that he was in 23 and 22 and doesn’t improve – you have a good QB and bringing in the guy that will be your franchise is still a possibilitt

signing Tua long term isn’t the kiss of death some people are presenting it to be

    • Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

    Am I crazy?

    have I 🐖💨 too much?

It makes a lot of sense that on draft OL in the first and 2nd round to me sort of like we did once upon a type with Richmond Webb and Keith Sims

usually every year my pig brain is trying to tell you guys we don’t need to focus on OL – but this year, I think it makes sense to focus on OL…

We are truly living in Pigzar times…

  55. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    here is more on Sweat

if you don’t know about Sweat – he’s enormous

and pretty much fits the description of a NT to a tee

Texas played a kind of variation of a 3-4, so sweat played a classic NT – but Texas also played a 2-4-5 defense without a Classic NT – so he actually played both and moved around a little bc of Byron Murphy’s talents

    so he’s fairly versatile

and may be available on day 3…if he hasn’t been drinking….lol

  56. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Piggy – I do look at the whole picture. I’m worried that he will continue to struggle against good teams and big games, because that’s his track record. Maybe he’ll add a wrinkle to his game, since he’s trying to slim down and become quicker and more athletic. I want to see it first though.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

If he does that, which I think is possible and I worry about too

We can draft a new QB in 25 or 26

I don’t think giving him that extension kills our chances to do that

I’ve been talking about drafting a QB since the end of the season – I’ve sort of settled on the fact that we will not be this offseason

I think there is a good chance Tua takes another step or 2 up this seasons – in fact I think it’s highly likely he continues to get better

But I also think we watched him struggle this year – the Buffalo game broke my heart

But the worst thing this franchise can do is join the QB carousel when we have a solid QB on our roster

If we can’t get to the next level with Tua – we probably can get to the same level in the next couple of years, while we try to find the guy who gets us to the next level

There’s only one way to get that guy – the draft

To me the idea of chasing Kirk cousins or Justin fields when we have Tua is laughable

You can sign Tua to the highest Contract ever and still have a rookie QB on his rookie contract

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

No way, I wouldn’t pay any of those guys who have also struggled in big games. You have to draft and then hope for the best

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

yeah but if you are relying on hope (and you always are)

you are better off having a guy under contract

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

It’s the same thing really. We’re hoping Tua can take the next step. There’s no way of knowing whether he will or if he can stay healthy again, or if he even plays as well as last season

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

        I don’t think it’s the same thing

we might end up with the next Zach Wilson…

  57. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Piggy – I mean hope is hope. Yes, we could end up with Zach Wilson or maybe end up with C.J. Stroud. I don’t want to settle though, if he can’t take that next step and we’re going to lose the division crown every season because he can’t step up and play better, or can’t compete in a playoff game because our QB can’t play better, I’d rather try again to find one that can. That’s the difference right there.

    • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Need to be drafting and grooming. Unless you have a bona-fide elite QB you should be doing that every year. Odds are, eventually you should at least stumble upon one. This is the NQBL now.

  58. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    honestly Mike

looking at this years prospects, I’m not sure any of them, including Caleb Williams, will be any better than Tua

Tua is probably better than the vast majority of QBs we wil see drafted in the next couple of years

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I’m sure there were people who said the same about C.J. Stroud. Anthony Richardson and Bryce Young. Stroud looks great, Richardson showed promise before the injury, but Young looked meh. It doesn’t matter anyway, you have to keep going for it.

    15-15 overall

Last year we were injured ridden during the stretch run, including Waddle and Hill

This BS about him not being able to beat good teams is just that

In a season where you get 9 home games, go 8-1 at home and 4-4 on the road gets you to 12-5 and likely a division title

In a season where you go 8-1 against avg/below avg teams and 4-4 against good teams nets you the same result

Does Tua need to play better against good teams? Of course, hasn’t been a disaster either like some say he has

Should we give him that 50m per year contract? Of course not, it is however what 90% of NFL teams will do

    ———-

Man, almost every year there’s a player that I REALLY dig (where’s Diggs been?) from Iowa. That program is SOLID, and as you could guess, I really like Cooper DeJean.

My preference would be to NOT take a Safety in the 1st round this year, but DeJean does rock. My guy is Kam Kinchens out of the U, and I feel he could play either SS or FS… and a BALL HAWK!!!

I think Tua WAS able to raise those around him, but there’s only so much a QB can do with Both the 31st OL and no TE1. Smythe is a 5th round backup and Hill is a UDFA from Nowhere College.

The teams that beat us including Tennesse out coached us by overplaying Hill and Waddle and trampling our pass blockers and stoning our smurf runners.

with no TE and no WR3 Tua was forced into desperate tight windows nearly every time against the great HCs.

not to mention our pass D forced the least tight windows thus keeping the pressure on our offense.

Just wondering how long this discussion will last? It seems to me that everyone has made their points and it’s a merry go round now. Nothing will change until we go further in the playoffs.

Tim, that applies to ALL discussions on this board. So, to answer your question directly, when some other discussion takes it’s place or until Mike stops posting about it. LOL

The “Great” Josh Allen who Mike E has a chubby for lost to the Jets, Jags, Bengals, Broncos, Eagles But those must be “Bad teams” because well, you know, the bills lost to them….

Yeah but, Zach Wilson beat the Bills, Eagles, Texans, Broncos and only lost to the Chiefs by 3 points.

    Wilson vs Chiefs – 28-39 for 245, 2 TD, 0 INT, 105.2 rating
    Tua (1st game) vs Chiefs – 21-34 for 197, 1 TD, 0 INT, 87.0 rating

I won’t post comparison stats on the Bills and Eagles games because it won’t fit my narrative. 🙂

Steve, I agree. We could come to an agreement with a player but not put pen to paper until 6/1.
