The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, and we’re still guessing as to what the Dolphins will do, especially with the most important picks, RD1 and RD 2. Lots of people have their own ideas as to what to do, including trading back and acquiring more picks, or even trading up. The consensus, however, is mostly agreed upon O-line, D-line, or edge pass rusher. Sure, some say TE if Brock Bowers falls, or WR if Brian Thomas falls, but the majority seem to agree the trenches and outside pass rusher are most needed. In addition, the order in which those needs are tended to also vary. Regardless or which comes first, help on the O-line or help on the D-line or edge, most agree the other must be next.
On the offensive line, once a favorite for our spot at #21, Oregon OC Jackson Powers-Johnson has faded away some, mostly due to the 3 YR contract given to former Titans OC Aaron Brewer. To me, that move was a bit of a head scratcher, as Brewer is a negative in the pass blocking column, and pressure up the middle leaves Tua in danger. Does that mean OC is off the board? I’d say probably so. We all know we have no starting tackles on the roster past ’24 besides Austin Jackson. Terron Armstead will be retiring, he almost retired this season. Kendall Lamm and Kion Smith, backups are unsigned in 2025. Last year’s 7th RD pick Ryan Hayes is the only other OT on the roster in ’25, and of course, there’s no guarantee Hayes makes the roster or even the practice squad. The picture isn’t much better on the interior O-line, with OC Aaron Brewer the only one back in ’25. You can almost guarantee that one of the top 2 picks will be used on the O-line. In 2025, the Dolphins will be stocked with picks in each round except RD 6, including 2 picks in RD5 and RD 7. In addition, the Dolphins are in line to get compensatory picks, one of them should certainly be a 3rd RD unless DE Christian Wilkins gets injured or has a terrible ’24 season. The other compensatory picks may range from RD 5 to RD 7.
We know the Dolphins brought in quite a few veteran defensive linemen. The most recent pickup, Teair Tart has generated a lot of buzz. I’m not going to go into the Christian Wilkins saga, I know you’re all tired of that one, but it’s better than the alternative topic you all know and love! Maybe the defensive line will be a bunch of run stoppers, and the pass rush will go through the outside linebackers. We’re all aware our 2 best OLB’s and pass rushers could be on the shelf at season’s start. We brought in veteran pass Shaq Barrett. We kicked the tires on Carl Lawson. It’s obvious we’re looking to have players in place to give us some flexibility until Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb are healthy. In 2025, Chubb has a brutal dead cap hit, so you have to figure he’s safe for ’25. Jaelan Phillips on the other hand has only his 5th YR option, or a contract extension. Knowing Phillips, and his injury history, he’d prefer to have a contract extension. That being the case, it’s likely we’ll pick up at least one or 2 edge guys in this draft. I won’t be surprised if a DT/DE is not at play.
If we go edge rusher/OLB, Florida St. edge rusher Jared Verse and Alabama’s Dallas Turner lead the way, but both might be gone by pick #21. There are however a couple that should make it, UCLA’s Laiutu Latu, Penn State’s Chop Robinson, and Missouri’s Darius Robinson. Darius Robinson (6’5 285, 34.5″ arms) is more of a project guy, but his size is such that he could be incorporated on the D-line and potentially take some reps at DE, where Christian Wilkins played. That kind of flexibility is usually appreciated by Grier and Co., but due to the fact that Darius Robinson is just beginning to develop, they might look at a more finished product like Verse, Latu or Chop Robinson. We definitely need someone to come in and give us reps now, and potentially more than that if either Chubb or Phillips have a setback in their recovery.
I have seen some people wanting us to take a WR, and while I’d be very surprised, anything could happen. WR Brian Thomas is the only WR of the top 4 that could potentially be there at #21, because Harrison Jr. and Nabers will be top 10 picks, and Rome Odunze shortly after. I can see it being tempting for Chris Grier to give this offense another big weapon, as we continue to have the OBJ watch here in Miami. The only TE worthy of a 1st RD grade is Brock Bowers, who should be gone unless a lot of other players, namely QB’s get pushed up the board. If Bowers was there, he would also be a difficult guy to pass on,
After our first 2 picks, we could duplicate either OL, DL or EDGE, and we also have a need at S, and potentially RB, as Raheem Mostert is 32 years old, and DeVon Achane looks more and more like a part time player. Mostert was given an extension through 2025 and RB Chris Brooks will be under contract in ’25 as well, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we look for a RB in this draft, and no doubt will be bringing in lots of undrafted RB’s as well. Jaylen Waddle will be entering the final year of his rookie contract this season, so that’s Jaelan Phillips on defense and Jaylen Waddle on offense. We do have a 5th year option, but WR’s tend to hate those. Next season, we’ll need an ILB, as Jordyn Brooks and Channing Tindall are the only ones on the roster, David Long will be an UFA. Lots to do, and not a lot of picks to do with is the story for ’24. Once again though, we’re stocked pretty well in 2025.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

picked up a 3rd
but none of the pass rushers I wanted lasted to the 3rd
If you read today’s article, I’m starting to feel like OLB/edge pass rusher is going to be a higher priority than DT/DE
it seems that way
but I suspect OL is the top priority
Oh, and since y’all are good and tired of my #1 posts, I won’t bring it up any longer. On the other hand, if any of you bring it up, fair game?
MikeE,
Thanks you gadfly! So, basically what you’re saying is we could go in just about any direction in the draft because we’re Swiss cheese? Lol
Indeed! Holes everywhere sir!
Mike, I’ve never liked the QB W/L thing. We’ve seen good QBs not have great records because the team wasn’t good or some of the game results were not because of their performance. We always say football is the ultimate team game because of so many moving parts and its 11 on 11. Maybe it’s just a pet peeve of mine.
Oh and nice write.
Thanks Tim. It’s as fair as any other stat in my opinion. Sometimes you throw a great pass and it’s dropped or tipped into a defenders hands. Sometimes you throw a shitty pass and the receiver makes a circus catch and bails you out. Also, and even more important, sometimes you’re on a good team and it’s easier and others, or like Zach Wilson going to the Jets or other QB’s going to bad teams and kill their careers, while the 262nd pick goes to the SF 49ers and their QB gets hurt and that guy becomes a star, while other QB’s languish in shitty organizations, like David Carr.
That was a very fair and balanced essay, Mike E.!
Your ideas on what positions we’ll take are on point.
I’m encouraged by the sheer number of good players at positions we need
who will be available at #21
or even down to about #27
if we trade down to get a 3rd round pick.
Latu
Thanks Naples
I can see us drafting him and playing him at OG
That works for me. Right now, you figure Robert Jones or Lester Cotton or Eich are in a fight for RG. I’d prefer to have JPJ, especially if Brewer blows at C.
Nice write Mike E
They can draft any position they are all a need.
Thanks ER

Alright, that’s one vote for Friday!
Friday works for me too
2… 2 votes for Friday, ah ah! *in my ‘The Count’ from Sesame Street voice*
Mike E,
Good and tempered write, bud (read it at work earlier). CAN’T WAIT FOR THE DRAFT!!!
Thanks M – I’m more anxious than excited about the draft
I’m right there with ya… very anxious myself.
I don’t mean to alarm anybody, but I have a terrible, terrible feeling about this weekend: I’m talking geopolitical in nature, globally. Be safe, be vigilant, and always be prepared.
What is it that you’re concerned about?
Short and sweet: Iran obliterating Israel over this weekend… and we’re going to get drawn into it. Opening shots of WW3.
Don’t know how many investors we have here, but gold went WAY up overnight. Something is going down and fast. This is NOT a good sign. War is coming.
Well that would be awful for everyone.
And after gold went WAY up overnight, the state department assesses that Israel is going to get attacked (war, not random terrorist missles) by Iran within the next 48 hours… if not at any minute.
I don’t know why, but JPJ seems to be trending to the 2nd round as of late.
crazy bc he was really hit in January and February
Yup! I’m surprised by JPJ’s perceived decline recently.
I think people don’t like the way JPJ has been playing lately. 🤪
He hasn’t started a single game since January! LOL
😂

Yes, it would. Literally, for everyone on the face of the Earth with the promise of Iran nukes soon.
And don’t forget about the potential of sleeper/terror cells here in the states. FBI issued a warning earlier that we face that threat.
*elevated threat
IMO, if we end up drafting JPJ, I’d be very happy! Same goes for “Johnny” Newton, Graham Barton, and a few others.
M13, I just read up on what you were talking about with Iran. It won’t end well for Iran but it will be bloody for Israel and our troops.
Yessir… and IMO, it will only escalate from there.
Russia backs Iran and has for some time. Think Russia might want to retaliate if we funk with Iran… after everthing we’ve given to Ukraine?
NOT GOOD.
Tim,
What day works best for you, regarding the FME live mock draft, man?
Sorry, the FMU live mock draft!
Next Friday night?
The early returns are favoring Friday evening, April 19th… we shall make it so.
Is 7:00 PM EST good for everybody?
7PM is fine with me
Would you guys be happy with a draft where we went OL with both the 1st and the 2nd
for example: Fautanu at 21 and Jackson-Powers at 55
If we did that maybe we can trade into the 3rd round for a pass rusher or a safety bu giving up a 3rd next year and a day 3 pick? 🤷
We need O-line for this year and next. I’m just worried about the defense too though
Piggy, that would be killer, IMO!
I have even seen OT Fashanu falling to us. Fashanu and JPJ would be stellar! I don’t think Fashanu drops to us though.
I’m acrully talking about the Washington OT -Fautanu not the PSU OT Fashanu
lol I just realized how close their names are
actually I think either fits in my hypothetical
and I think 1 might fall to us at 21
I think something is wrong with me when I start posting highlights films of OL
but here goes anyway
wow if teams prefer either Fautanu or Fashanu, they better double check the spelling on their draft cards if they pick one….lol
Time to ban knives OR if someone were allowed to carry they could have blew the fucker away.

Yeah I knew who you were talking about. I was just pointing out that some sites had Fashanu and Fantanu both falling to us. It would be a hard choice but I think I would go with the true LT in Fashanu as Fantanu projects to move inside. Though, like Barton, I think Fantanu could move back out to LT if needed.
Another player I have mocked to us several times:

NEW: Details on FSU cornerback Jarrian Jones, who was summoned to Dolphins headquarters Friday, and the interesting situation at nickel corner for Miami https://miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article287066205.html…
Jones had the 4th best passer rating against in FBS last year among CBs targeted 25-plus times.
@flasportsbuzz
Per source, Oregon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson is among the players the Dolphins are summoning to team headquarters for a ’30’ visit. Miami is very much intrigued by last year’s Rimington Trophy winner (the award given to the nation’s top center).

I DIG IT, Pigster!
Great to hear but it will all come down to when will the team let him play. They are extra cautious.
BB Mike, ya heard?
Yeah! He was getting some hate, people spreading falsehoods and a couple diss tracs on him. This was his “no response” response.
It’s kind of awesome how he turned his life around getting sober and going from being flat broke about 7 years ago to being worth almost 30 million now. Doing it all on his own.
Man that CFLcorner Qwan’Tez Stiggers is getting more air miles than anyone else in the draft. He has had private top 30 visits with al most half of the NFL teams, including Dolphins.
Between local visits and top 30 visits, the Dolphins have brought in more CB’s than any other position. I wonder if they transition another player on the roster to safety like Needham.
Pretty cool!
I remember that. It is not uncommon here in Pensacola. Fishermen catch Great Whites from the beach. There are a couple beach shark fishing charters here. They set you up nice with a big tent and reclining beach chairs and break out the HEAVY gear. They kayak the large baits (usually a blackfin tuna heads) a couple hundred yards out, drop and wait.
They put out some smaller baits to catch smaller sharks like bull, blacktips and spinners.
They catch massive great whites, dusky, hammerhead and tiger sharks right off the beach.

wow that’s quite a haul.
Text that to Grier.
Would KC go for that?
They do need a WR now that Rashee has messed up his life.
Valdes and Mecole are both unsigned FAs, so maybe KC would want to move up to 21 real bad to get that 3rd best WR in the 2024 draft,
I agree with Omar on this one.
———————
@OmarKelly
Dolphins are in position to reset their entire team in 2025. I’m certain their decisions will be predicated on how the season plays out in 2024. BUT, if you want Waddle, Phillips and Holland long-term the time to sign them is now.
They could have done that with Wilkins and/or Hunt
Yep they could have pushed money down the road on great players. Instead, they push a bunch of money down the road on FA who won’t even be on the roster. The 25 mil in dead money in 2027 would have paid Wilkins if they did the extension on time.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10116790-dolphins-rumors-tua-tagovailoa-contract-wont-reach-joe-burrow-justin-herbert-level
@OmarKelly
It’s not. He’ll have a 3 year window when that new contract hits. True test is can they win when he’s eating up $45M plus of the cap

In the upcoming NFL draft, the Los Angeles Rams are scheduled to make their first first-round pick since 2016, when they used the No. 1 overall pick on Jared Goff.
BBM; I LIKE your takes on salary management issues, especially those takes dealing with how Miami’s Front Office has MISmanaged this mess!! It’s just one of many reasons why the Dolphins will NEVER win a Super Bowl as long as Steve Ross owns the team.
TOO BAD MIAMI CAN’T DRAFT A NEW OWNER IN THE UPCOMING DRAFT!!
ALL YOU PUCKHEADS getting ready for the NHL Playoffs?? I think a new re-ordering is in store for the league. A team very few are picking to win the CUP, (such as Manitoba’s Jets, or the Vancouver Canucks) has a REAL CHANCE to win it all!!
Another team that has NEVER WON A STANLEY CUP, the Florida Panthers, could be the surprising winner of the upcoming playoffs. This would be an incredible shot-in-the-arm for a franchise that, historically, has had a hard time selling out home games.
So if I end up with the Dolphins pick will you all be mad at me for selecting OL? 🤣
Heck no! lol
PIGGY: ANY prospective new member of the Miami Dolphins offensive line whose last name starts with “FAU” can’t be all bad, even if he played for the Washington Huskies.
Old Dolfan,
IF we don’t select an O-Lineman with one of our first two picks, I’m going to be very, very dismayed.
GET READY to be dismayed, Mr. Spikes.
AND just remember where you heard this prediction.
Tim – I will be angry if you draft a WR
But it could happen for real.
If a WR3 is there that they are sure will play right away for us,
they could grab him.
We need a big one for 50/50 balls, a possession and red zone guy, a TD jumpball guy. That could help us win against the good teams. (smile)
They have that vet OG (Risner?) on speed dial if say, Barton etc. are all gone.
Then get an EDGE rusher in Round 2.
MR. CAMPBELL,
There is but ONE exception I’m willing to make, should we NOT draft an O-Lineman with our first two selections: Kiran Amegadjie, T, Yale, in the 3rd round.
And as we all know, we don’t currently have a 3rd round selection this Draft.

2024 NFL Draft: Our 6 favorite picks in the new ESPN mock draft
EDGE Jared Verse to the Dolphins at No. 21
The Dolphins landed Jared Verse a dozen picks after the Falcons selected Dallas Turner and got a nearly identical prospect.
Boom or Bust: riskiest prospect at every position in the 2024 NFL Draft
Quarterback – Drake Maye, North Carolina
Running back – Jonathon Brooks Texas
Wide receiver – Keon Coleman, Florida State
Tight end – Ja’Tavion Sanders, Texas
Offensive tackle – Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma
Interior offensive line – Christian Mahogany, Boston College
Defensive line – Michael Hall Jr., Ohio State
Edge defender – Bralen Trice, Washington
Linebacker – Tommy Eichenberg, Ohio State
Cornerback – Kamari Lassiter, Geogria
Safety – Tyler Nubin, Minnesota

2024 NFL draft: 5 sleeper prospects every team should want
DT Evan Anderson 6’0 319 pounds – FAU
Massive two-down defensive tackle every team wants to trot out on short yardage and goal line.
In 2023 as a senior Anderson logged playing time in 12 games and logged a total of 535 snaps for the Owls. He also added 28 tackles, 14 assists, and 27 stops. As a pass rusher, he tallied 16 total pressures, which included 10 QB hurries, one QB hit, and 5 sacks on the season.

He could be a nice pickup in the 7th at #241. He is projected to be a late 7th or UDFA.

M13, you have to like this kid! Unfortunately, I don’t think he is on our radar. He’s built like a safety, excellent returner, very instinctive. I would love to have him on the Dolphins and move him to safety.
Whom ever we draft I hope they’re all awesome. 🙂

DraftTek has an interesting draft for us:
R1-DT Byron Murphy 6’1 297 Texas
R2-OG Christian Haynes UConn 6’3 305
R5-TE Jared Wiley 6’7 260 TCU (a guy I’d love to have blocking for us)
R6-DE Logan Lee 6’5 281 (There’s your Iowa guy, Randy.)
R6-WR Jha’Quan Jackson 5’11 185 Tulane (Ed Reed’s nephew and a star at PR/KR)
R7- OT Gottlieb Ayedze Maryland 6’4 305
That’s their #2 rated DT and #1 rated OG.
I’d take that. They are both plug and play starters.
The WR ran a 4.42. (fast enough)
They also gave us their #7 rated TE and one of the 5 largest.
and Their #7 rated DE.
Those were all 3 good picks for so late in the draft, but
I think a 24th best OT in the 7th is a bit of a waste.
I’d be thrilled with those first 2 picks. I do believe one of the first 2 picks will be an edge rusher/OLB
btw
NFL.com has rated this draft as one of the weakest overall in recent memory.
At least as far as top end talent.
They use an 8-point scale where 7+ is pro bowl talent
but
NONE of the entire draft class scored above a 6.86
which is labeled just a “year 1 starter.”
Yes… now that ya mention it, I noticed the same from NFL.com when checking into these scores a month (maybe 2 months) back. Interesting.
I don’t believe as much. There are most certainly many day 1 starters in this Draft.
Achane looks jacked
I’d love to know how much he weighs right now… hope the muscle doesn’t slow him down in the least… and it may not.
We will be drafting a DB this draft. Just don’t know when. They have brought in more DB’s than any other position for visits.
Absolutely agreed. Grief seems to have DBs on his mind every year.
Possibilities (IMO)?
1st round: Cooper DeJean
2nd round: Kam Kinchens
5th round: Kitan Oladapo
@AaronWilson_NFL
Iowa
@HawkeyeFootball
tight end Erick All (6-4 3/8, 252) visiting #49ers today, #Commanders next, has nine total visits, including #Saints #Dolphins #Browns #Bengals per source.
Regarding “day 1 starters” in this Draft, I absolutely believe we can find a day 1 starter on the O-Line in round 2… on the D-Line? Not so much. And Braden Fiske isn’t going to be there for us @ R2P55.
Achane talked about his weight being about track. Now that football is his life 180 something is probably around 200 now. He’s still going to be super explosive. But more size helps him handle the physicality of being a RB. Football speed at RB is not the same as pure track speed.
happy birthday ken! Hope you had a fantastic day.
DeVonta Smith gets a 3 YR/$75M contract. Do we pay Waddle that much? I eagerly await the answers to this question
“Oh no, he’s not worth top 5 money. He’s WR #2.”
That’s not me MikeE but that is probably what you will hear.
Waddle’s projected 5th year option cap hit will be around 15.2 million.
Phillips’ will be projected around 13.5 million.
I believe they have until 2 May to exercise the 5th year options. So they have to decide in the next 2 weeks.
Achane looks like Ray Rice, with more speed
Can’t wait to see him bowling ball around this year, then bam he’s gone
I know! Looks like he went the route of Mostert last offseason.
BBMike – Just thinking how everyone here was scoffing at Wilkins getting $27.5M per, and now we’re going to pay a WR $25M or more per year, and to be fair, Waddle is not a top 5 or possibly even top 10 WR
he’s top 10 – the only thing that’s holding him back from being one of the leagues best is that he plays on the other side of Hill
I would pay a WR before I pay at DT. We are built around speed at the skill
positions. If we want to be successful we are going to need players like Waddle
Smith’s deal is also a 3 year deal . So doing if it’s sets the precedent for what we sign Waddle for – and Waddle does a 3 year deal, that’s a little easier to manage than a 5 year deal
I was a little surprised at Smiths deal – I wonder why it’s only 3 years . You don’t see that a lot for some one getting their first contract after rookie deal
I am that curious to see if there is some room for Grier to work with Waddle, TuaHolland and Phillips salary in one offseason
I’m not concerned about average salary – I am more concerned with the cap hit for a given year
I wonder if you can finalize all 4 extensions and have each of the 4 players take big cap hits in alternating years for more cap room
He wasn’t Top 10 in receiving yards in ’23, but yes, Tyreek Hill is here. He’s probably borderline top 10 though. My point was $25M for a #2 WR is kind of ridiculous. Hill won’t be here much longer, so then Waddle becomes a #1 in theory, but right now he’s a distant #2 on this team with Hill
To be more clear, ridiculous to pay two WR’s over $60M in a season.
We are already tried paying an elite DT elite contract and it hurt the team. See N Suh
Understood. We’re already paying 1 WR the elitist contract in the NFL. Find me a winning NFL team that’s paying two WR’s $60M, or anywhere near that.
Analytically speaking WRs have a much bigger impact on the game than DTs
Ken – I can name two teams that are perennial playoff teams and one just won the Super Bowl that payed top money for a DL. Chiefs and Chris Jones, and Ravens with Justin Madubuike. I trust the Chiefs and Ravens
Ravens have not won a SB since the days of Joe Flacco. Also they just gave their DTs big contracts this off season. Let’s see how that works for them
Ken – it will be interesting to see if we add a DT/DE in the draft or ride with the crew of 3rd and 4th tier players. If we don’t add anyone in the draft, I’m curious to see how the defensive line does
I am as well
Ken – If you have a second, look up the Ravens record the last decade and compare it to ours. I’ll trust they have the system down right
I know but they just gave the big contract this offseason. Don’t forget their DL was really good at developing talent…just saying
I feel like we’re in a state of flux. Almost like we’re not really sure what we want to do. Anyone else feel this?
No – not really
they always expressed they wanted to keep Waddle and he’s part of the plan
picking up his 5th year option instead of what the eagles did with smith may just be about cp room in 2024
if they wouldn’t have picked up the 5th year and did not give him an extension – would be worried
but now he’s under contract this year and we have the ability to extend him too
I don’t feel that way. They didn’t want to pay top scale for a DT and a RG. You can’t pay everyone.
We have a slew of 1 year contracts. A ton really. We let 2 guys who were full time starters go and replaced both with a bunch of 1 year guys. Now we have 2 more full time starters on 1 year contracts. It’s as if they’re playing it by ear, see how it turns out
good
I like it.
if they don’t work out, we’re not stuck with them.
Waddle has gotten over a thousand yards receiving every year of his career including his rookie year when he was the only high quality speed we had and then 2 years where Hill gets a huge amount of targets.
that’s impressive
Picking up the 5th year doesn’t preclude getting extensions done, right?
I mean, it’s kind of a no-brainer we’d pick up those guys’ 5th year. And we can still potentially get an extension done on one or both, although honestly, I wouldn’t extend Phillips right now, but I’d definitely do Waddle this offseason if possible.
I’d offer Waddle something similar to Smith, a 3 year extension spread out over the 3 years along with the 5th year option to bring the extension down to around 22 mil for 4 years.
Paying FAs the ginormous long term contract often allows them to coast a couple years.
We’ve been burned a bunch by that right here in Miami.
One-year guys have incentive to give 100% or get cut loose out of work.
I don’t think I’m being overly critical, but we haven’t committed to anyone. I just find that odd, including Tua BTW, who everyone swore would have that huge contract by now. I feel like in some ways it’s OK with Phillips, but you’d think you’d want to get an extension done on Waddle.
Remember we’ll have more cap space in June. We can’t do much right now.
While that’s true, a lot of times when you give players an extension, you’ll have a lower cap hit than the 5th year
Yes but we can’t do it yet. Not sure what the plans are just hoping we take the next step this season.
We’re also going to have a plentiful draft in 2025 as of now to retool the roster again.
Yes, but we’re going to have a whole lot of spots to fill too
The draft this year will also play a role.
Yes, but a very little one Tim

Devonta’s contract looks like a 4 year 53m one, the last year is a void year, he’ll never see that 35m, not even 15m per year

Holy crap, that is a fantastic deal for the Eagles. You’re right, no way he’ll see the 2029 money and the Eagles get him for the next 5 years at a great price.
Steve, we don’t the impact of this year’s draft yet. You never know.
What we do know is we have 2 real picks, so…
This is what they’ve been saying for a while.

I truly do have a hunch that the vet O-Lineman we’re rumored to be talking to is Connor Williams.
I mean, if his rehab is going very well, why wouldn’t we want to bring him back? We’ll know more about his progress come June, when we actually have the $$$ to sign him again. JMO
