The Miami Dolphins go to Indianapolis after the BYE week with an opportunity to get back to .500 and even their record to 3-3. QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley is in line to start, but backup QB Skylar Thompson, recovering from a bruised ribs, should be able to be the backup QB. Injuries aside, this game goes way beyond just our players injuries. Somehow, we plodded past the inept New England Patriots and won that game 15-10. We have won 2 games so far, and in neither victory did this team resemble in any way the high flying offense from last season where the team scored 496 points and scored an average of 29.2 PPG. So far this season the Dolphins are averaging a paltry 12 PPG, the leagues worst. For reference, the Carolina Panthers have their backup QB in, and the Panthers are just awful by the way, yet somehow the Carolina Panthers with Andy Dalton have scored 22.5 PPG in his 4 games that he’s played. Take away our season opener where we erupted for 20 points, we’re scoring 10 points per game. This with WR’s Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, RB’s De’Von Achane, Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Wright all sharing time. No bueno, and people, people meaning our coaching staff, and the players, need to be held accountable.
It looks like the Colts will be going with QB Anthony Richardson on Sunday. He’s been out for 3 games, and in his stead, QB Joe Flacco was killing it! Flacco in 3 games has completed 71 of 108 pass attempts with 7 TD’s and 1 INT. The Colts want their 1st RD pick back on the field, so despite the success Flacco has had, they’re back to Richardson. Richardson has struggled this season and despite the fact that he’s 2-2 this season, he has completed 50% of his passes with 3 TD’s and 6 INT’s. That’s more in line with our QB’s, so maybe the playing field is level for a change. The big difference is QB Anthony Richardson has a very high ceiling, and is a very athletic QB, while you can’t say that about either of our QB’s Tyler Huntley or Skylar Thompson.
One thing that’s just about impossible to me is the fact that last season, our TE room didn’t catch one TD. Well, guess what? We brought in TE Jonnu Smith who was supposed to be a big part of the offense, especially if WR’s Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle were getting shut down. Guess what again, they’ve been shut down ALL SEASON! Still, no Dolphins TE has caught a TD last season or this season through 5 games. Could this be the week? Don’t bet on it, but you never know. Good news for the offense is RB’s Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane are both going to play, along with promising rookie Jaylen Wright.
The defense is right smack in the middle statistically this season, but when the offense can’t sustain drives and turns the ball over, that puts more pressure on the D, and of course they’re out on the field much longer than they should. We’re giving up 22.6 PPG, which I feel is acceptable, considering once again how poor the offense has been. HC Mike McDaniel had the BYE week to come up with ways to get this offense going with QB Tyler Huntley, and then of course the likely return of QB Tua Tagovailoa from a concussion, at the Fest game against the Arizona Cardinals. This offense has to start showing some life, or the Head Coach, despite getting an extension, should be in danger of losing his job. The best player on this has been 39 year old DL Calais Campbell. Hands down, he’s had the biggest impact. He and his opposite DE Zach Sieler. Both players are getting it done, my fear that Sieler would suffer without DE Christian Wilkins was probably accurate, because Calais Campbell has been that good. Unfortunately, Campbell has made it clear this is his last season, so next year it’s going to need to be a priority of sorts, although QB, and O-line will be much higher priorities out of necessity.
If WR’s Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have pride, and I believe they do, these guys are going to have to start to make an impact. I understand they rely on the QB, but they have to be better. We can’t fall to 2-4, and then expect the fragile QB Tua Tagovailoa to take this team the playoffs. They need to get themselves in gear and start scoring TD’s. Get the TE involved, maybe even get them a TD. When Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane are healthy, they make a difference, they give this offense some electricity, but they need the star WR’s to be much more involved in the offense and scoring.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

All them speedsters couldn’t get open
Huntley lacks Tua’s confidence to let it rip into a tight space. Not necessarily a bad thing as he doesn’t have Tua’s accuracy
Shit punt
Was it? My stream is way behind
Outside the 20
After a false start and a high snap on the extra point earlier. The whole team is still making a lot of little mistakes, but the number of errors by special teams every week is staggering.
Still have the lead though, so far so good.

Sets us back way more than he sets us up
Absolutely! Hard to see what they see in him
We need Tyler Warren!!!
Fox Faith…wtf was that?!
these officials are hams
and I don’t mean that in a good way
sloppy fucking penalties
i just found out we’re the MOST penalized team the NFL!
Shula is turning over in his grave…lol
Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes, mistakes, mistakes, mistakes.
It’s absurd when a receiver can’t even line up behind the ball.
But hey, at least we wasted a timeout on a 3rd and 18.
3 penalties this drive 🤯
I can’t wait until Tua gets back so the whole team can stop with all these mistakes and penalties…
Lol!
OBJ with some alligator arms on that one. Way to introduce yourself to the fan base
So undisciplined…do sad
so sad, but do works ..lol
Just to make people more upset, AVG already has another sack today.
Nice play to Ingold. Big opportunity here. Get at least 3, go up two scores, and get the ball first next half.
Defense has been solid. I don’t even mind the missed sacks; that’s what Richardson brings.
(Piggy polishes his conch)
Nice drive. A little conservative on clock management. They could have had more shots in the end zone but I am not going to complain about 10-0
Fucking ridiculous
There is our D being soft again when it matters
^
Of course another long FG against us
If you told me we’d be up 10-3 and we scored an offensive TD throwing a TD to our TE, I would have signed up for that for sure! Baby steps, considering the product of football we’ve been putting out there
Fucking Hill
Huntley threw a good ball there.
Tyreke Hill has checked out
Like I’ve said, I’d be happy to get some good draft compensation for Hill
It was only a matter of time
Disaster
can anyone remember a dolphins team that is more mistake prone and undisciplined that this team? I can’t
I have no faith we can execute anything. I’m literally expecting disaster on every play in every phase. It’s a nice surprise when we don’t eff it up.
Nice stand by the D after the TO
We suck
Let’s see what MM’s response is to this. Can we get a TD drive here?
No! 😡
This game has been ripe for us to win, but you just can’t make this many mistakes.
And Mostert has lost a step. I’d rather see the new kid with Achane. Move Mostert to #3
Tide has turned
I don’t understand why they are allergic to crossing routes and slants
just a couple of quick throws
That is the response to them dropping the safeties or so you would think
there shou;d be a ton of room underneath
And Huntley really can’t do much with the ball in play, only off script.
He looks so tentative
Yeah, probably doesn’t trust what he sees and is too scared turn it over.
A good ST’s play? O-M-G
Huntley is not very good.
Mostert had 49 yds of bruising running called back by two penalties.. I think he’s okay.
The running game has been there all day if not for mistakes. Mostert has looked a step slower all year. I’d rather see the new kid over Mostert at this point, because he’s produced every opportunity he’s gotten, and of course Achane is #1. Not saying Mostert is bad, he just doesn’t have that same burst this year.
I think forward pass
My confidence level is very low
That really could have been two sacks. Richardson is a beast, lol.
I don’t know sideline updates about our QBs pjs
thanks
Smith has made some big plays today
This fucking offense
FB plunge on first down 🤬
After Wright was looking really good. wtf?

Fucking fuck! Just give the ball to Wright
this team isn’t even fun to watch.
nothing like giving your ball to some one with less than 10 career carries with your few scoring opportunities
Nice coverage by Kohou
Secondary has been pretty solid.
Except when it mattered
They have really only given up one big play at the end of the 1st half.
But the game isn’t over yet, we’ll see what happens this last quarter.
This is what it looks like when you lose your QB.
our HC can’t counter defenses that play safeties deep
The QB play is sub par. That’s why we’ve been running all day.
look at how bad those routes are
nothing crossing in the middle and it’s a wide open space
I blame Kong for talking about how good our secondary has been
lol, that was a check down because the secondary did a good job.
I stand by what I said. 3 completions in a row
QBs are going to complete some passes. It doesn’t mean the secondary hasn’t done a good job.
Has Chop Robinson done anything other than suck?
Recovered a fumble…oh wait a minute
As I’m watching most NFL games including this one, the list of things Tua can’t/won’t do now is a long one
Colts force us to waste a timeout. Good coaching by the Colts.
8 yard loss on bringing out the KO return

Even before Tua got hurt
How we doing today, boys?! 🙂
Is Achane hurt?
We may be running the ball well, but we still cant convert a 3rd and 1.
Now we have a scary Sanders kick.
WTF?
Special teams lets us down again
Sigh
LFGM!!!!!!!!
On what universe is 4th and 1 lower percentage than a 57 yard FG
54 yarder
Even still
That’s our secondary
Poyer showing of that amazing 3″ vertical 😂
That’s probably game. We aren’t scoring a TD.
Assuming we can even stop them here.
We also only have one timeout, and Tim Boyle at QB
And we have to use the TO on 3rd down. So we’ll have about a minute 50 to drive and score a TD.
Turn out the lights, the season is over
this game is pretty much over. This team is so poorly coached it’s pathetic
I am sure Tyreek is mainly focused on his lawsuit against MPD and not football.
So sad….it’s just bad football, imo. Hard to watch, for me.
I’d rather have boyle in here that Huntley. That’s what it’s come to…
Truth be told Huntley is actually the better option 🙄
I don’t think so. Never did.
I did when Huntley got here. Still do.
In this situation, I agree. Huntley wouldn’t be able to do enough passing.,
The Colts have 16 points. The defense wasn’t the problem.
5 yards per carry on the ground against a QB that can’t hit the broad side of a barn
i keep saying that too…lol
Good thing we waste timeouts or we would be able to stop the clock more
So how does this end? Sack, fumble or INT?
downs
Some of you guys can’t accept that Tua is that important. It’s like night and day.
Important to the Dolphins? That page has turned. I eagerly await his retirement
Fucking Tyreek STFU
GB beats Texans on last second FG
Yet another disappointing day as a Dolphins fan.
An all too familiar feeling
Fucking wasting so much time. Go down field.
Ugh, didn’t see the throw 10 yards out of bounds as an option
lol….you think it can’t get any lower and then Tim Boyle throws the ball out of bounds on 4th down
wtf

——————————
Agreed. The defense did enough. We lost because of mistakes on offense, two TOs by our RBs that took points off the board and gave them a short afield TD, and another missed FG by our kicker.
Boyle throws a prettier pass but he is not better than Huntley. That is not saying much
Boyle is probably the worst qb to ever play the game
he shouldn’t be on an nfl roster
Huntley is a better QB
the fact that we signed Boyle at all is troubling
yeah, I am not even entertaining this pathetic argument by both of us
Huntley can only make throws off script, but I’d rather have him in there than Boyle when we’re running like we did today. But when we need to pass the ball and can’t run, I’d rather have Boyle.
I can’t believe I typed ‘rather have Boyle’. That shouldn’t ever be in the vocabulary; it shows you the state of our QB room, smh.
Huntley has shown nothing to say he is better.
That said, you’re right, it’s not saying much.
We scored 10 points…lmao. D’s fault. .
Minny about to lose. Leaves just KC as the last undefeated going against SF today.
We would have lost by more if Flacco got the start.
Bills get to cake walk into the playoffs this year.
Bills walking all over that team that walked over the Dolphins.
I think we would have won if Boyle started
Only 1 undefeated left but I really don’t care anymore
CHOP sucks! He is a major liability vs the run. Fuck his pressure rate
He’s very green but I believe in his upside.
When you watch the game are you confident we can throw a pass beyond 10 yards? I’m not, that’s all you need to know. Our offense is running at less than 50%.
The QBs had plenty of time to throw. They don’t have confidence in themselves to go down the field. We’ve seen it 4 games in a row.
If you want to blame anyone for anything, we don’t have a competent backup QB. You can’t win with these guys.
Bottom line, offensive penalties was the difference in this game
That and QB play. Ding!
and turnovers
Throw the fucking ball in the end zone!!!
You can’t expect Tua to come in and be the savior, let alone make it through a game
