The Dolphins had pick #48, which was sixteen picks into the 2nd RD. After 4 selections were made, Grier lost his mind and traded up to get his guy, OT/OG Jonah Savaiinaeah from Arizona. Once again, Grier showed no patience, no discipline. The Miami Dolphins roster is so far from being one player away. As it turned out, no 1 offensive lineman of any kind was taken between pick #37, the spot that Grier traded up to and our original spot of #48. He’s done this many times before as well. In last year’s draft, he used this year’s 3rd RD pick to get into the 4th RD last year to draft RB Jaylen Wright. Did we actually use Jaylen Wright last season? 68 rushing attempts and 3 receptions. Jaylen Wright has a 4 year contract, and we basically redshirted him for his rookie season. That’s just awful management.
Here’s some perspective. The Baltimore Ravens, always considered a solid organization, owned the 29th pick in RD1. They stayed put there, and took the best safety on the board, Malaki Starks, the player they wanted. In RD 2, the Ravens stayed put at their pick (#59) and took an EDGE pass rusher that was supposed to have been drafted in RD1, but their patience was rewarded having a highly rated prospect fall into their laps in Marshall DE/OLB Mike Green. Even the Eagles, who just won the Superbowl, moved up just one spot in RD 1 to take the LB they wanted, Jihaad Campbell. In RD 2, they stayed put at Pick #64 and took the safety that so many love here, S Andrew Mukuba from Texas. Restraint, discipline, patience. Grier has none of these, and I also honestly wonder if he actually has a plan.
So now, our next pick is #116. We don’t have a starting CB, we have 2 safeties that have been backups but could be serviceable as starters. That’s part of the problem, once again. We’re trying to go on a playoff run and we basically made trades, we traded all our cap space and lots of picks to replace DT Christian Wilkins with DT Kenneth Grant, and replaced OG Robert Hunt with OG Jonah Savaiinaeah. WE gave Tua the huge contract, traded for Jalen Ramsey, gave him a contract extension just a few months ago and then a week before the draft, genius GM Chris Grier tells the whole world the Dolphins and Ramsey have mutually agreed to part ways. Why????? Plan much? What was your plan when you told the world that? Maybe shop him draft day and see what you get. Now you’re desperate and you may end up cutting him and getting zero compensation. This, among many other reasons already outlined is why Grier to be sent packing. We need to find someone better at this job than him, and I don’t think it will be as hard as people think.
So now we go into day 3 armed with 6 picks, one in RD 4 (#116), three in RD 5 (#143,#150,#155) and two in RD 7 (#224,#253). Can we find our starting CB in any of those picks? Who knows? Maybe, but the chances went down considerably just by trading up and trading away your 3rd and 4th RD picks to get there. I’ll remind you that Chris Grier also traded up for OL Liam Eichenberg in the 2021 NFL Draft to select him at #42 RD 2. Once again, no patience, no discipline, and no plan. Let the board come to you, and find good players, don’t be set at any position or player, be flexible, be smart. Grier hasn’t done those things. Even when he hit on a couple of picks like DT Christian Wilkins and OG Robert Hunt, he failed to keep them going into their second contracts. Bad management, simple as that. This should be his last year, but Stephen Ross for some reason loves him. Maybe Stephen Ross is a masochist and just loves losing too.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

Hope the pick is Dippre
Or Conyers
Obviously we’re not trading Ramsey for draft picks this year. What say you on such matters?
I thought it was an outside chance pre draft. Most likely a post June 1 trade. Too much of a cap hit pre 6/1.
Bigger question is are they doing it to stockpile some picks next year to make a run at a QB.
I doubt it.
If he does well this year, I doubt it also
if we pick in the top 10 next year we should be going after a QB
after 2026 we can dump Tua with only 16m in dead money
he’s going to have to prove his worth this year, like playing all 17 and at least being in the hunt for playoffs week 18 or I’m going after a top QB
time to get Restrepo
Still quite a few players we liked are on the board
I can’t wait for the 2026 mock drafts. 🙄
PFN should have it up in a week or so!!!
coming soon to a blog near you!
me either
RJ Mickens finally comes off the board
Cam Miller was an interesting QB prospect. Now to the Raiders
What’s the red flag on Ewers
avg QB on a good team
don’t remember hearing too much about Ryan Stonehouse our punter
53.1, 53.1 and 50.6 last 3 years punting
Bailey should be gone, his only claim to the job is Sanders likes him holding
backup QB should be the holder to make the fake a real threat. Or rather substantially increase the success of the fake.
2 picks in 7th
TE and WR
why are the cheats now the sexual pick to be 2nd in the division?
is it the Vrabel effect?
they’ve won 8 games the last 2 years
SMH at spell check
LOL
there goes Martinez
On the clock
I hate that pick with Logan Brown on the board
quarterback?

Somebody here called this
Not me…
Me
He is crying about coming to Miami. LOL
won a high percentage of his career starts but struggled to put points on the board in most big games in 2024.Sound familiar ??🤔
100%, MM’s type of QB
dealt with injuries in 2024, something wasn’t quite right
he’s got a big arm, so when the rush comes he doesn’t have to wind up to throw the ball, like we saw with Tua and a lame duck pick 6 against bills
we need a 3rd string QB, he’s got a year to learn to see if he can be a #2 (Wilson 1 yr contract)
I don’t like the pick, it does have some cap upsides next year
I just read a bunch of mumbling that the Dolphins liked Ewers and never really heard mumbling tying the Dolphins to any other QB
Ollie Ollie in run free
DT3s problem was vision, I think it’s a strength of Ollie’s
I can remember the DT3 all22 saying all the holes he missed
Strengths
Weaknesses
there’s no risk with lots of upside
Did we draft enough dogs for Tyreek
if 2 is enough
I don’t know, it was 1000 lbs in the first 3 picks and both DT’s have “heavy hands” and move much quicker than their sizes.
add in Ollie and that’s 4
Logan Brown, Zy Alexander and Luke Kandra are all still on the board
Also Jalin Conyers.
Im still upset about Hawes going to the Bills so I can’t think about TE
he’s not even going to see the field on Buffalo
HERE WE GO!
BEN SAULS K Pittsburgh
Restrepo as a UDFA?
our Mr Irrelevant
Zeek Biggers!!!
3 DTs now we have 4
Not to be confused by DT3, now we have 4.
Zeek Biggers
Overview
On paper, Biggers has the measurables that teams search for along the defensive front, but he lacks the build of an NFL interior defender. He’ll flash with a big punch to drive a guard off his spot, but he logs too many reps where he’s slow into contact and jostled around at the point. He’s slow getting off the blocks and misses too many tries. Biggers offers no rush help. He needs to get stronger to take advantage of his length and will have to prove himself as a 3-4 defensive end in the pros.Strengths
Weaknesses
he is big, can’t complain about 3 DTs, not to be confused with DT3
Our ’25 NFL Draft picks are finished. What do y’all think?
Really invested in that OL!
I like the Biggers pick with the last pick.
I am a little surprised we only drafted 1 OL
hey that guy has a better chance to make the 53 than most picks that late. We need run stuffers.
We are going to sign 2-3 thousand more pounds of UDFA’s and FA’s after cuts. I hate this feeling I am getting. It make me feel dirty. That dirty four letter word…..hope.
NO! I WILL NOT!
I’m shocked we drafted DT. 😜
DL Howard Cross III has agreed to sign as an UDFA with the Bengals.
WR Nick Nash signing with Falcons
Edge Jah Joyner signing with Raiders. I liked him.
Nothing for Dolphins yet on the UDFA market.
Not confirmed but:
Miami Dolphins UDFA Signings
Baldwin is a 4.32 guy and Henning 4.39.
Zy Alexander to Seahawks
These are subject to change. Another team can steal by offering a better deal.
Until they sign the dotted line
Xavier Restrepo to Titans
Miami Dolphins UDFA Signings
LS Kneeland Hibbett, Alabama
say what you want about the draft, feel better now about the state of the team
just glad someone knocked some sense into these knuckleheads getting them to draft linemen
Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter
UCF cornerback Brandon Adams agreed to terms with the Dolphins.
growing up when looking at our schedule, first thing I’d do was compare the lines, if we had the edge I’d call it a win
Raiders, Dallas, Steelers we had to play the games
still on the fence about going to training camp, let’s see what happens before August
Ethan Robinson, CB, Minnesota (via Simon Clancy)
Eugene Asante, LB, Auburn (via Simon Clancy)
Bandon Adams, CB, UCF (via Adam Schefter)
Kneeland Hibbett, LS, Alabama (via Simon Clancy)
Josh Priebe, G, Michigan (via Simon Clancy)
Jalin Conyers, TE, Texas Tech (via Simon Clancy)
Theo Wease, WR, Missouri (via Barry Jackson)
AJ Henning, WR, Northwestern (via Simon Clancy)
Nate Noel, RB, Missouri (via Aaron Wilson)
UDFAs
Conyers
Pre-Draft Analysis
Conyers caught five touchdowns last season, while also throwing for one and running for two more. At 260 pounds, he had the quickest short shuttle for the tight ends at the combine and tested well. He runs fast, tracks the ball well and makes contested catches downfield. Arizona State and Texas Tech using him as a Wildcat quarterback speaks to his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. He follows his blocks and breaks tackles. Conyers improved his blocking over the course of his college career, and he has the frame to continue to get better. — Steve Muench
he’s got a great chance to make 53, considering our lack of TE depth, just has to beat out Hill
Yeah, he’s been a late round fav of many of us.
https://www.thephinsider.com/2025/4/26/24418345/nfl-undrafted-free-agent-tracking-updates-reports-2025-draft-miami-dolphins-news-rumors
I like all these WR’s they are taking a look at.
Now add Wyoming’s guy Andrew Armstrong and Theo Wease.
I hope some of these aren’t just rumors.
I love the Zeek Biggers pick
Im glad we left the draft with 3 DTs
I wish we would have left with 2 OL
I feel better about the team after the draft
I like a lot of players we drafted and I like the focus of the draft
but that said, I really think this draft exposed some of Grier’s biggest issues and I would call it a bad draft from that point of view
Trading out of 3rd and 4th seems crazy to me given how many holes we have
also we didn’t need to trade up to get the guy we drafted
Also hated the Ewers pick. If Zack Wilson is not good enough to be QB 2 why pay him the contract you gave him. We don’t need to spend a pick on a practice squad QB
and I was surprised by the marshal pick, doesn’t seem like to many people had this guy on their radar. Could have used that pick for a DT like Pueges and then used the Biggers pick in your CB
I don’t think Greier does a bad job, but I think he is well short of maximizing the opportunities we have
feels like a lot of wasted potential
^
I’d be harsher, but well stated, Pigster.
YES on picking up Jalin Conyers as an UDFA!!!
After we’re done with UDFAs (which is important in my book)…
Next stop? Free-agency, once again. Hopefully our cap will allow us to fill some more holes.
Lots of decisions to be made, especially regarding pre and post June 1st cuts/trades.
Zach Wilson is only signed to a 1 yr, Ewers is going to be groomed to be our future #2, if he shows progress this yr we won’t have to pay a backup QB 6+M
Zach is the better skilled prospect, so I hope he succeeds
Addison West, G, Western Michigan
MY GUY!!!
@WMU_Football

Addison West has signed to the Miami Dolphins!
#ProBroncos | #BroncoBuilt
@AaronWilson_NFL
Missouri wide receiver Theo Wease joins #Dolphins on a three-year undrafted deal that includes $249,000 total guaranteed, per a league source. Wease is represented by Damien Butler.
Gotta run for the night! PLEASE keep the updates coming, y’all!
draftees still on team
2020
Tua Tagovailoa, Austin Jackson, Blake Ferguson
2021
Waddle, Phillips, Eichenberg
2022
Tindall, EZE, Goode
2023
Cam Smith, Achane, Hayes
2024
Chop, Paul, Wright, Kamara, Malik, Tahj, McMorris
6 good starters, another reason to say adios Grief
I see a path where we can compete for a playoff spot. Everyone else in the AFC, all the players die. I think we have a chance then, even if it’s a slim one
LOL
I enjoy the happiness of these prospects being drafted videos. ✌️❤️
That’s always fun to see. Working hard during the season then jumping right in to intense training for the combine and pro days then interviews. I am sure a lot of that emotion is from a huge sigh of relief.
One of my favorite aspects of the draft. These kids have worked most of their lives to get to that moment.
Steve,
correct on the Ewers/Wilson statement.
Piggy,
I actually liked trading out of the fourth. Instead of forcing the pick on someone they weren’t high on, the got value by picking up a third rounder next year.
All 3 CB’s (2 UDFA) we added have decent size to them.
hopefully one of them can contribute. We really need Cam Smith to take that next step this year; that would be a game changer for the secondary. I’m not sure he’s going to be good enough though.
we need the pass rush to make it easier on the DBs, even Ramsey wasn’t very good last year with no pressure
no Chubb and barely any Phillips didn’t help.
Safety John Saunders, Jr. is another good UDFA addition, bigger safety at 6’2, 210. He averaged about 3 INT’s a season but last year had 4 FF. He’s really good at punching the ball out.
now give these young guys some PT, instead of the usual redshirting
like Flores did with Needham, who was so bad in preseason his first year
I can’t believe all the DTs we took mostly because we need them all
ILB Jay Higgins going to the Ravens
Luke Kandra to Panthers, but I like the 2 UDFA OG’s we picked up.
TE CJ Dippre to Patriots dammit!
Damn, Vikings are signing 19 UDFA and Chargers 18. I thought we had a lot at 14.
If I am not mistaken, they can still invite unsigned UDFA’s to participate in rookie mini camp to see if they can win a spot on the 90 man roster.
NEW BLOG UP!!!!
WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW… they got 2026 up already. No mock draft DT’s. LOL
Taking a chance that Allar continues to grow because Nussmeier was available also.
13. Drew Allar QB Penn State
45. Tristan Leigh OT Clemson
77. Jack Velling TE Michigan State
81. Devonte Ross WR Penn State
110. D’Angelo Ponds CB Indiana
142. Rod Moore S Michigan
