Chris Grier is gone, and I rejoice because this move brings hope that this franchise can turn things around, build a strong team, and become a perennial contender. Chris Grier by all accounts is a very pleasant fellow, but in big business, and the NFL is BIG BUSINESS, you have to succeed when you’re at the top, and Chris Grier failed to do that. I’m not going to spend time discussing any of his failures, I’ve done that plenty, but now it’s a good time to look to the future.
As many of you know, I made a statement, and ultimatum of sorts. I said that if GM Chris Grier was still here next season, that I would not continue to support this team, that I COULD NOT, and I meant it. I actually felt some sad pangs of nostalgia, because I’ve been with you guys and gals for somewhere around 12 or so years, give or take a year or two, and I was thinking to myself could I really just cut off ties with all of you here? I wasn’t actually sure if I could follow through on my statement, but now I’m glad that I don’t have to. Phew!
Now that the big domino has fallen, the Dolphins need to trade some players and get some draft compensation to help build this team better. Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Rasul Douglas, Jack Jones, trade ’em all and start this all over and build it the right way! Hope springs eternal as we can now look forward to bringing in a GM who has patience and discipline and lets the draft come to him, rather than reaching for certain players he likes and constantly overspending draft capital by trading up. You know who those players are and just how many times it’s happened. Inexcusable.
It hasn’t been easy being a Dolphins fan the last 25 years. We lived through the Patriots Dynasty with Brady and Belichick from 2001-2019. The Bills drafted Josh Allen in 2018, and the returns were pretty quick. The Bills have taken over nicely for the Patriots, becoming the Beast of the East since 2019. Yes, we had a glimmer, or as I would call it a “Mirage” in 2023, but the Bills in the end blew away the mirage and extinguished the silly thought that we were actually contenders. The Bills are stumbling just a bit, and now we have the Patriots who just walked right on past us, leaped past us actually, and are in 1st place after 8 games at 6-2.
The Miami Dolphins and NY Jets continue the cycle of hiring and firing new regimes, but that’s what losing brings. Chris Grier was given a wide berth and plenty of leeway, plenty of time, and plenty of money and cooperation from the Team Owner Stephen Ross. Chris Grier was GM for most of 10 years and finished with a 77-80 record. So while the Patriots had a two decade run at the top, and now the Bills and Patriots are fighting out, the Dolphins and Jets have languished at the bottom fighting for the basement spot in the AFC East for over 20 years. I’m not even sure why Dolphins and Jets fans hate each other, we should empathize with them as we have been in the same boat, a boat with holes in it that forever continues it’s descent to the murky ocean floor.
I have to tell you how excited I am to see who we trade and what compensation we get. I am once again excited about next year’s draft, even though I know not who will be pulling the strings and making the selections, but I will sleep well tonight knowing who isn’t. It truly is a time to rejoice, this team is staler than bread you accidentally left in the pantry since 2008. I know Mike McDaniel will remain with the team until season’s end, and really, it doesn’t matter. He was in over his head as the Head Coach, many good coordinators are, and Mike McDaniel was never even an Offensive Coordinator, he was just a run game coordinator, far different than calling all the plays. Even more different than leading men and shaping them for battle in the trenches.
I’m excited to see who we hire as Head Coach. Do we continue the trend of hiring a first time NFL Head Coach or do we go to the recycling bin and find someone who was already an NFL Head Coach? I know we need a strong personality, someone who instantly commands respect, and preferably, someone who was successful and has a strong resume in either the college ranks, has NFL experience, or was successful former Head Coach (Not named Bill Belichick). Jon Gruden is a name that has bandied about and I know this guy knows his football, and is a very energetic person with tons of grit, tons of personality, and has won a Super Bowl as a HC. I think much like the LA Chargers hiring Jim Harbaugh, Gruden could similar things for the Dolphins. I’m not stuck on Gruden, but I wouldn’t hate it.
GO DOLPHINS!!! Thank you for doing what needed to be done!

Not my idea, but thought it was a good one.
To trade Wright…lol
I hope this won’t be trap game for Buffalo…lol
I have an idea, why don’t we just give Jaylen Wright some freaking playing time! We’re going to trade him for a 6th or 7th RD pick? Just keep him and give Achane a rest every now and again so we have him for next season. Ollie Gordon is already banged up, and you know you really need 3 RB’s at a minimum in the NFL.
buy low sell high, the opposite would be trading Wright now
Joe Rose says, Grier left the Dolphins in cap hell
I say true, but that’s not what the issue was
Ross wanted to win at all cost, Grier said ok (in a dufus voice)
…so Grier, having no idea how to implement a winning plan, copied what the Rams did by going after high end talent at the expense of draft/cap
MM, like a young kid at Christmas, wanted shiny new toys
then Grier, having no clue how to build a team, says, ok (again in a Rufus voice) I’ll get you what you want
what does a real GM do in these instances?
Mr Ross building a championship doesn’t happen over night, so if we trade away top picks for players, when it doesn’t work we’ll be set back as a franchise 5 years
I have a 3 year plan to compete for a championship, but you’ll have to be patient
to MM he’d say, getting all these fast cars sounds great, but we need to build a road first, to get full performance
copying what the Rams did could work, but you need a foundation and a plan first, not just get the final pieces and think we’re good to go
In the end it was obvious Grier had no granulated plan, and was in way over his head
I’m going to argue ANY of that. Spot on! Imo…lol
^…NOT argue
So, we only cleared 1.5m with the Phillips trade that we can carry over to next year. Bummer, but that was probably the cost of getting a 3rd over a 4th. It also had nothing to do with the restructure on Brooks.
I will still take it. Now, the Eagles just need to lose. lol
I bet Chubb is jealous he didn’t get traded to the Eagles instead of Phillips. lol
Cowboys finalizing trade for LB Logan Wilson from Bengals: Sources
The Titans exchange the pass rusher for a conditional fifth-round pick, a league source told The Athletic on Monday.
Odd trade by the Cowboys, but it is Jerry Jones. You need pass rush help but you trade for an ILB who is nursing a calf injury and didn’t play this past weekend. Also, who was demoted from the starting lineup due to poor play.
Granted I liked Logan Wilson in the draft. Their whole defense sucks so it’s not just Wilson. A new environment is just what he needs.
Just saw another article. While Logan Wilson got replaced by rookie ILB Demetrius Knight Jr., Wilson still has a higher PFF grade than any Cowboys ILB.
Demetrius Knight Jr was an ILB several of us wanted in the draft. I think Wyoming really liked him.
The 3rd round pick for Phillips was also a good move for the eagles.
First, Phillips pass rush win rate and overall pass rush grade (PFF) is higher than any Eagles edge rusher this season.
Second, the Eagles can still get a pick back for Phillips in a 2027 comp pick. If Phillips stays healthy and the eagles lose him in free agency, the Eagles can get as high as a 2027 4th round comp pick back for Phillips. That will be dependent on what kind of contract he gets and what the Eagles do in free agency next off season. Though, I don’t see the them being big players in free agency as they are a well built team through the draft mostly.
I guess you can throw a third in there in that Phillips is already familiar with Fangio’s system. He will be plug and play.
M13, I have to give you a thumbs up for pounding the table for Walter Nolen. He was good in his first ever NFL game with 4 tackles (3 solo), 1 sack and 1 PD.
Rookie CB Denzel Burke played decent last night starting for the Cards. I wanted him over Jason Marshall. Grier took Marshall at #150 and Burke went at #174.
I still have hopes for Marshall to develop.
If we had drafted Nolan, Mike would’ve gone ape shit, that his first action was week 9🤣
LOL
I like how they used PR win rate
for Phillips, since he only had 2 sacks
This was last weeks but VERY funny. This weeks not posting yet.
Referring to Tua, “His own tape was so ass, he got pinkeye from it”. LMAO
That pinkeye line just made my day. LOL That’s friggin awesome!!!!
Man, there are only 5 hours left until the trade deadline. I hope that Phillips isn’t the only guy we move for picks!!
Same
Speaking of Annie Agar, where’s Wyoming? I hope all is well. Probably just disgusted with everything Dolphins.
Her Halloween costume- Tua the biggest heists this year.
https://x.com/annieagar/status/1984652883678097886?s=46
Lol…for sure.
BBM,
Thanks, Brother, for the props on Walter Nolan!
@CardsMarkD
Quite the debut for Cards rookie Walter Nolen III last night: 4 tackles, 2 TFLs plus a sack, QB hit & pass defensed First player since TJ Watt in 2017 & 4th in NFL history w 1+ sack, 2+ TFLs & 1+ pass defensed in first career game
*Nolen
Really one of the only days to look forward to for the rest of the season, let’s hope the Dolphins don’t let us down today LOL.
Right! Make believe we’re on Wall Street and GET TRADING!!!
Cowboys have had talks with us for Chubb, they also like Judon and MFF
I say we do a bundle trade, Chubb & Fitzpatrick for a 2nd rd pick in 2026
Cowboys have the cap space now but not really next year to keep them. Dak Prescott’s cap hit next year is 74m and CeeDee Lamb’s cap hit is 38m.
That’s usually money you see at the end of a contract, but it’s not. These were extensions that they are just getting into. SMH
Hypothetical – Say we put Ewers in at QB and he starts playing really well and we win some games, maybe 4 or 5. Anyone here have a problem with that?
no, but the chances of that happening are slim to none
Yes! because the chances of a 7th round pick turning into a franchise QB is so low that it happens like once in a lifetime. I’ve already seen Mr. Irreverent win out against two first round picks. I am willing to bet I will never see it again.
JEST trade Sauce…
JEST are going for the 1st pick in the draft.
2 1st…
2 1sts from Indy, likely mid 20s
why did Indy make this trade, thought they had X🤣
I have to laugh at these videos saying its never been more clear (rebuild) NO SHIT SHERLOCK
Referring to Tua, “His own tape was so ass, he got pinkeye from it”. LMAO
————————
ROTFLMAO!!
one of the best lines I’ve ever read.
😂
Sauce has been disappointing, but the change of scenery should help him, especially going for a Super Bowl
See how similar we are to the Jets/ We both traded defensive players to teams vying for the SB right now.
Brian,
@No3sports
BREAKING: James Franklin is headed to Virginia Tech as HC on a massive 4Y/$7.8M a year deal! #Hokies
that was the rumor . Tack that on to the $50 million Penn St still owed him, and he’s a very rich man
@AdamSchefter
Jets now have four first-round picks the next two years.
———–
WOW! No sir, I don’t like it!
We have work to do to just stay out of the basement. Thanks Chris Grier!
Moreover, if next season McD and Tua are still here, I might just fucking scream!!!
^^^
Kong – Where did that come from with Tua and the pink eye?
Annie Agar
I posted up the page. Check it out when you get home. The whole thing is funny.
Mike E,
CAN’T WAIT to see who our new HC and coordinators are going to be! Sadly, we probably won’t know for another 3 months. *sigh*
https://phinphanatic.com/ian-rapoport-drops-bold-quinn-ewers-prediction-could-save-mike-mcdaniel
Potential that we do exactly what I said we should do. I obviously hope we do just that. Not to save McD’s job, he’s gotta go, but to see what Ewers is, despite Rocks, skepticism. lol
Personally, I don’t care who we start… so long as we lose out.
@BleacherReport
Tom Brady revealed that his current dog Junie is a clone of his late dog Lua, who died in December 2023
The dogs were cloned by Colossal Biosciences, a biotech company that Brady is an investor in, using blood collected prior to Lua’s death
————
WTF???
Cloning pets has been happening for a while
Jets look to be all in for Mendoza. Though, they probably won’t have to trade up for him unless the Saints have the 1st pick.
Then hopefully we lose out, thus getting R1P1! 😀
All around the world same song…
How did I know that was coming? LOL
😀 😀 😀
“There I go, there I go, there I go!”
It’s as though SB7 was summoning me! LOL
Saints trade WR Rashid Shaheed to Seahawks for two picks ahead of deadline
@RapSheet
Blockbuster: The #Cowboys are trading for #Jets Pro Bowl DT Quinnen Williams, sending a first-round pick and more to NYJ, per The Insiders. A new home for one of the NFL’s best to team that values interior DLs, as NYJ builds for the future.
The stej now have 5 (FIVE) 1st round picks over the next 2 seasons.
Not good….
Fire sale in NY!! Damn, they are in a total rebuild now.
I will be glad Williams is no longer with the Jets.
Damn, BBM getting jealous of all the NY draft picks.
Same here, man!
Las Vegas is receiving fourth and sixth-round picks in exchange, league sources tell The Athletic.
@MySportsUpdate
Full expected trade: #Jets trade: Quinnen Williams #Cowboys trade: 2026 2nd round pick and 2027 1st round pick.
———-
AND a 2nd rounder!!!
AND Mazi Smith!!!
@RapSheet
#Jets get: 2nd rounder, 1st rounder (Cowboys) next year, Mazi Smith Cowboys get: Quinnen Williams.
Wow! A 2027 1st, 2026 2nd and Mazi Smith for Williams.
Jerry Jones is out of his mind
@MySportsUpdate
#Jets future draft picks include: – 2026 1st – 2026 1st (via Colts) – 2026 2nd – 2026 2nd (via Cowboys) – 2027 1st – 2027 1st (via Colts) – 2027 1st (via Cowboys)
————-
Not good is right, Rich. This is scary.
This team is Nothing But Trouble.
LMAO!!! 😉
Not much time left
What’s more scary is the Jets won’t need to waste any of those extra picks to trade up for their QB.
How far must we sink to reach the ocean floor? Perhaps we have arrived…
The Jets not only got two 1st round picks for Gardner but they also got WR Adonai Mitchell.
Yea, so much for being in a good move after the Phillips trade…
^mood
It just got worse, Rich see below
the Jets just traded Quinien Williams To the Cowboys for a second rounder next year or first rounder in 2027 and Maisie Smith
we can only hope that the Jets fuck all of these Draft picks up similarly to the way we did
Agreed, and they certainly have the propensity to do so. Did you catch my message to you up the board about Franklin becoming the new HC at VT?
yes, I responded to your post. Maybe it didn’t go through.
Garrett Wilson is going to demand to be traded this off-season, if he doesn’t get traded before the deadline today.
Brian,
Got ya! This site is moving fast and furiously today. Yeah, Franklin is indeed now rich. Still happy we got rid of him, though.
@Schultz_Report
BREAKING: #Jets RB Breece Hall wants to be traded, I’m told. A little over one hour until the deadline, but Breece “wants to be out.”
Jets have 5 1st RD picks next 2 years, Dolphins have $150M in dead cap + Tua and Capri McD
Yea, I give up. This team can’t even “mail it in” without being upstaged by the JEST!!!!
And I was about to say, no matter what we come away with today as far as draft compensation, it will PALE in comparison to what the stej have done today.
Even though the JEST are worse as a team, it just shows that they had more talent at important positions than the Dolphins had/have. Thanks Grier!!!!
I’m taking a break for the rest of the day.
Enjoy yourself for the rest of day then, Brother! I’m miffed too at what the stej have managed to pull off.
can’t even fucking tank right
where is all this awesome talent that Chris Greer acquired for us? The Jets just traded away five first round picks worth of players +2 second round picks. We’re happy to get a third round pick for our best defensive player
^
T-minus 1 hour and counting…
Miami should have gone to the AFC south rather than the Colts. That realignment was just totally stupid Dolphins would’ve been dominant the last 20 years in the AFC south I mean, is there any team in the United States that is farther south?
^
Dolphins should be in AFC South, Ravens in AFC East and Colts in AFC North. I always thought that.
pissed off then I’ve been stuck for 20 years behind a dominant New England team that the league gave Gross preferential treatment to, followed by being in the same division as the bills for the last five years
It’s all about hope. The JEST fans have that today, Miami fans not so much. Now I’m out….
I’m with ya, Brother!
what sucks is the Jets will probably benefit from those draft picks even more because the teams that traded away those pics will probably regress
Ya know something, I’m going to be PISSED if we don’t make another trade before 4:00 PM! I’m left to assume (hopefully) that we’re holding out for the best deal(s) possible up to the 4:00 PM deadline.
Mike E. says: November 4, 2025 at 2:50 pm
Jets have 5 1st RD picks next 2 years, Dolphins have $150M in dead cap + Tua and Capri McD
———–
Let me make it a little worse:
By trading Gardner and Williams, all their money owed got accelerated to next year. Jets are only stuck with 21m in dead cap between both players next year but cleared a bunch of cap.
If the cap next year is 300m, the Dolphins are at about -6m
If the cap next year is 300m, the Jets will have about 110m in cap to spend in the offseason. These trades also increased their cap this year to 19m which can be carried over and added to that 110m in 2026 cap.
In 2026, they probably will have over 125m in cap to spend along with a bunch of draft capital.
T-29 minutes and counting…
This season has the most in-season trades in the last 25 years.
Jets are the first team in 25 years to trade multiple players in-season for multiple 1st round picks.
Right now, jets have picks 3, 32, 35 and 46 in the first 3 rounds. They have no 3rd round picks and only one 4th round pick, no 5th except a potential 5th round comp pick, three 6th round picks and three 7th round picks (2 of them being potential com picks).
So 7 of their 12 picks are slotted #178 or later. That’s not too bad.
Jets are great at drafting unless it’s for a QB and they can’t sign a coach to save their lives. Maybe they break tradition, but the last several decades have shown otherwise.
I think it’s the fear of breaking tradition that scares most.
T-5 minutes and counting…
Reminder… it may take 15 minutes to report a trade that was hit AT the 4:00 PM deadline.
Looks like we will come away disappointed. We will have to release Chubb next year with no compensation except dead money.
@AllbrightNFL
Dolphins wanted a 1st and more for Waddle, teams weren’t willing.
4:00 PM deadline has arrived.
@AdamSchefter
Despite getting calls for Jaylen Waddle and Bradley Chubb, the Dolphins did not make another deal before the deadline and opted to hold on to both.
Looks like it’s final… SMH
@flasportsbuzz
After trading Jaelan Phillips to Philadelphia on Monday, the Dolphins did not make a trade today. Carry on.

Agreed and official.
i’m glad that we didn’t give up waddle today. He’s a very good young wide receiver.. Certainly not for a second rounder, when we gave up two first to get him in 2021
^
@ArmandoSalguero
Dolphins could have saved $20M in cap costs next year and some $43.5M over next two seasons by trading Bradley Chubb. Couldn’t or wouldn’t do it. Good player but injury history, contract are something Dolphins signed up for and will have to keep for now.
He’s wrong. We still owe Chubb 23.8m after this season. We would have only saved 7m in cap next year not 20m.
Now, we will have the same cap hit with no compensation next year unless they find a trade partner in the offseason.
Additionally, if we would’ve traded him, we almost certainly would’ve eaten some of his salary
@MiamiDolphins
Roster Move | We have signed CB Clarence Lewis to the practice squad.
fuck the ghost of Chris Grier
Chris Grier is gone but his rancid stench is still lingering in the facilities for the foreseeable future
BBM can smell it out here on the panhandle.
Last deal of the day: Chargers add OL Trevor Penning from Saints
Los Angeles badly needed reinforcements up front after losing Joe Alt to a serious injury, and now at least one insurance policy arrives in Penning, a former first-round pick of New Orleans who converted to the inside this year.
we should get a comp pick for Chubb in 2027
Chubb has to play out his contract and become a free agent to get a comp pick. He’s not a free agent until 2028. You cut/release a player prior to and you get nothing as far as comp picks go.

jets kicking our ass again😜
We shouldn’t have gutted the team, we still need to field one this season. But we should have done more. This team just absolutely loves to disappoint us.
^
I’m glad we didn’t trade anyone else! We probably did the best we could with a win win win for player and teams.
Now, MM has NO excuse to Ross as to why he should be retained next year. Give all the rope you can to MM and Tua.
SO as we lose out, hopefully, Ross abandons his affection for these 2.
We haven’t hit bottom yet. We are headed in the right direction though…lol
I just have a feeling that MM will be here, unless we go 4-13 or worse. I think that if Ross was going to fire MM, he would have done it already.
I look at it as Ross sees Mike and his history as a benefit to continue a losing season and maintaining a high draft pick.
then is the only reason in my mind as to why Mike McDaniel is still coaching the Dolphins he’s
Give them enough rope…I hope Ross sees them singing…lol
Swinging, singing until they can’t…lol
He’s expected to lose and I think they are right

UPS Flight 2976 went through the roof of a building while crashing in Louisville, Kentucky
That’s insane
PICKS!!! I WANTED PICKS!!! Who’s to blame? I say we put icy hot in their jock.
lmfao
with the exception of expiring contracts, we can trade players for picks starting 3/11/26
teams like the colts and cowboys won’t be as desperate – but it’s not like we can’t acquire more picks before the draft with some of our vets
I’ll talk about it in my next article, but Stephen Ross bringing back Mike McDaniel and Tua next year to me is probably worse than bringing back all 3 (Grier, McDaniel & Tua). No GM worth a shit is going to want to come into that ridiculous situation. It’s so disappointing to Dolphins fans to know we have to try and overcome the shitty state that Grier left this team in, little talent, and whole lotta cap issues. It’s going to take to time to climb out of that hole, and by the way, while we’re doing that, the Jets have multiple 1st and 2nd RD picks in both of the next two drafts, the Patriots are already head and shoulders better, and the Bills have Josh Allen and they will probably get better as well, you can never count them out. Firing Grier was supposed to bring hope for the future of this team but if Ross once again goes with half measures in keeping Mike McDaniel, there is no fucking hope, none!
Unfortunately, I agree with you.
Half steps will not work. My hope, is that if you give MM and Tua the rope, I believe they will hang themselves.
Champ Kelly must feel a little weird being the interim GM. Isn’t it his job to find the best GM for the Dolphins going forward?
No, Krishna, that’s Stephen Ross and Tom Garfinkle’s job. On the other hand, don’t be surprised if Champ Kelly comes back next season and they bring Mike McDaniel and Tua back to go on a Superbowl run! I ain’t kidding, watch them do this. We’ll be like 2-3 years behind the Jets and Patriots and destined as bottom dwellers in the AFC East.
the rebuild has started with the Phillips trade, no going back now, youre safe Mike
OK, thank you.
Lol…I believe we are headed in the right direction and that is down. I don’t believe there is anyway to right the ship, but who knows.
TG better get it right. Ross needs to stay away!
I just ran into a Jets fan friend of mine, and he was so disgustingly smug I can’t stand it. All I could say was well I hope they fuck it up like they always do
his response nailed me “ Well, it seems the dolphins are doing that for you guys so…”
And he is SO FUCKING RIGHT!!!
I know there was a lot of bitching about all the Jets picks they have accumulated.
BBM has gotten over it. Why?
The Jets traded away the #1 CB in the NFL and the #4 DT in the NFL according to PFF. That is going to be very hard to replace even with all those draft picks. At least with this next draft, there is no Sauce Gardener or Quinnen Williams type players to use those picks on.
That said, I fear the Jets will take players BBM wants right before we pick starting with Fernendo Mendoza. I could see the Jets going:
#2 QB Fernendo Mendoza
#32 CB Colton Hood
#35 WR Chris Brazzell
#46 DT A’Mauri Washington
OMG that would suck!
So much for climate change/global warming. We had a record breaking snow storm this past January, 8″. No hurricane landfalls this year. Now, we are going to get down into the mid to low 30’s here on the panhandle on Monday and it’s not even mid November yet.
In the 20 years I have been here, this will probably be the first time I have had to bring the plants in before January 1st.
Usually, I am sweating my nuts off while deer hunting until December.
the ocean water has cooled down considerably, about 74 now in Sebastian, Pompano season is starting
its getting harder and harder to post from my phone
No GM worth a shit is going to want to come into that ridiculous situation
There’s only so many GM jobs, so don’t agree
We could keep Champ on for another year, if Ross still has his head up his ass and keeps MM or just tell the new GM he’s getting a free year to transition, next year you can hire a new HC, in which I’d tell him MM gets no input on players
in the GM hiring process I’d have the candidates lay out their plan on building a team, seems having a plan has been missing since JJ
Would you be surprised if they bring back Champ Kelly?
no, they brought him in last year for a reason
Steve – Phillips was an expiring contract. I don’t think that constitutes the start of a rebuild. I hope Tua sucks so bad the rest of the season they have no choice but to not try and run this back
@MiamiDolphins

Andre Carter II Highlights
IMO, they traded what they could trade and I’m even surprised they were able to deal Phillips. There is one player on this team, Achane, that is desirable. The rest are aging, or injury prone, or not a game changer, or all three. That includes Waddle. Waddle is not JJ, Lamb, Chase, Nacua, Collins, Njigba, Nabers – heck Higgins or Garrett Wilson are much better options. (Almost) every team already has a Waddle, and those that don’t are not in a position to win, so they aren’t giving up a high pick for him.
And, as for the Jerks getting all the picks? Doesn’t worry me too much. I don’t put much stock in the draft as a whole. How many drafted REALLY make a difference? 5? 10? from each draft? How many first round busts are there every year, or second and third rounders who don’t make impact or grow. A lot. They could very easily draft three duds as they could three studs with those first rounders. The Fins seem to do it all the time lol.
So, let’s let the season play out. There’s no way this team wins more than one or two more games – especially if Ewers gets a look later in the season. We’ll have a top-5 pick and who the F knows what will happen with whomever they draft. Could be great, could suck, could get injured…there are no guarantees in any of this. Hang in there, everyone! Fins Up for life!
Well stated, Realist. The Draft is a crap shoot, after all.
It may not happen right away but by 2027 you may not recognize this team. You can’t overturn a team in one year. But a new GM and HC will have their own vision.
My fear with keeping Champ is that we will keep the scouting/personnel department. I believe we need a big upgrade in our sources/scouts/evaluators, etc.
I have bad news for you
we have changed general managers four times and have kept all the same scouts each time with a few exceptions
That is bad news! We need a new scouting department, imo.

That makes two of us, man!
What’s more, I can’t wait until Roger Goodell is GONE!!!
about NFL Network report saying he’s playing to keep his job rest of this season, countered he’s playing to help his team win.
@OmarKelly
“I haven’t heard of any of that. No social media for me….I wouldn’t say I’m playing to keep my job. I’m playing to help my team win,” Tua said. “My performance needs to be better. And my performance doesn’t reflect me trying to keep my job. That’s not the standard I’ve played my career with.”
Stephen Ross is entering uncharted territory as Dolphins owner
By Brian Miller|2 hours ago
The last time Ross went through a real GM search, he settled on Dennis Hickey after other candidates dropped out. Hickey didn’t last long, and in 2016, Grier was hired after a relatively soft search by Ross, Mike Tannenbaum, and the other Dolphins executives.
Stephen Ross will have to hire a new general manager and let him decide on Mike McDaniel’s future
If we look back through Ross’ ownership, this will be the first time that the general manager position will be vacant, and the head coaching job likely will be as well. All he has to do is not meddle or give the next GM stipulations about keeping McDaniel.
If we look back at the last 16 years of Ross’ ownership, we can see the trend that has to stop this year.
2016 was an interesting year, because while it would seem Ross had the opportunity he has now, he actually did not. Mike Tannenbaum was Ross’s right-hand man in the coaching search. Tannenbaum brought Gase into the fold, given his friendship with Gase’s agent, Jimmy Sexton.
What the Dolphins didn’t do, but now have the opportunity to do, is give the new GM full control over the search for a head coach. The problem? Stephen Ross isn’t someone who can keep his hands out of the search.
The departure of Grier is still fresh, but the talk throughout the league is that Ross wants to keep McDaniel as the team’s head coach. It seems he believes the problems are personnel and not necessarily coaching. Dolphins fans will love that…
I don’t give a crap how much he spends, he is a horrible owner. Clueless when it comes to football.
I’m hoping for a 50 point loss to Buffalo, with fans leaving at halftime. Please, if you are going to the game, bring a paper bag.
The talk throughout the league should NOT be that Steve Ross wants to keep Capri McD as the team’s HC in 2026. It’s purely speculation, based on the fact that we have to keep Tua on our roster at least through 2026 before parting ways. There is nobody better to work with Tua than Capri McD, who has designed the entire Offense to cater to his strengths while minimizing his weaknesses.
It’s a mere theory and nothing more… and to be fair, I said it before any local or national writers started bantering about as much. Again, it’s a bloody THEORY (not even a hypothesis), nothing more.
The way I see it and the way I WANT it, is for Tua to play the Kirk Cousins role to Michael Penix next season.
Personally, I’m done with Capri McD and Tua.
I mean, it’s pretty evident that Tua isn’t the same QB we had in ’23. Personally, I think he’s damaged goods (hip and concussions).
And in the case I’m not being LOUD enough (LOL), I WANT SPAGS AS OUR NEXT HC!!!
And I WANT TO DRAFT THE BEST QB in the ’26 Draft, to REPLACE TUA!
And if we don’t feel the next franchise QB is available in the ’26 Draft, nobody is expecting us to go to the Super Bowl in ’26.
Perhaps we can wait until ’27 to draft our franchise QB.
So if we’re trying to tank in ’26, maybe ya bring back Capri McD and play Tua all season. Perhaps we get R1P1 in ’27.
I thought Tua was damaged goods on draft day. I even said it here, that drafting Tua was a mistake.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is now entirely off the injury report. Last week, while still practicing in full, he was listed for the thumb on his throwing hand and an illness (eye).

Tua’s eye has returned to normal after having been bitch-slapped by Capri McD.
