Dolphins fans everywhere are watching the games and hoping for losses for teams that are currently ahead of us in the playoff standings. I think that’s fine, if you’re 7 years old and don’t really know anything about football, our Dolphins team, our Dolphins Head Coach, and our Dolphins QB. On the other hand, if you’re acutely aware of all those things, well, I either admire your resolve or just think you’re crazy, or both. I don’t care how many games in a row we win, I don’t see this team as a playoff contender at all. I see the “In the Hunt” graphics for the playoffs, we’re at the bottom there at 4-7, but we do have a favorable schedule. It continues this weekend with our game at 1PM at home at Hard Rock against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are actually worse than our Dolphins. Tyler Shough is the QB and veteran RB Alvin Kamara will be OUT so RB Devin Neal will be getting the start.
We’ll probably be running the De’Von Achane Show once again, until someone absolutely shuts it down, or until Achane finally breaks. If I asked you which player on the team has the most receptions, you might think Jaylen Waddle right? Of course not, we’re the Achanes, not the Dolphins. Achane has 54 receptions, which is 5 more than WR Jaylen Waddle and then 21 more than the next closest receiver, WR Malik Washington who has 33. We’re so ridiculously reliant on Achane, who I firmly believe is way important than QB Tua Tagovailoa. Achane is the cog that keeps offense going. Anyone can throw screens and 5-10 yard passes to Achane, and the truth is, the Achanes are only scoring 20 points per game, so any notion that this team needs Mike McDaniel and Tua together because they’re so successful together, I have to wonder what success even means. Right now we’re 4-7, and our offensive genius is managing only 20 points per game, good for 24th in the league. For some contrast, DC Anthony Weaver with his bad of unheralded defenders and rookies are now 21st in the NFL in points allowed. Who’s the genius?
Things I’d love to see this weekend would be giving more opportunities to both running backs Ollie Gordon and Jaylen Wright. They say time is money, and I say draft capital is money too. We used a 2024 4th RD pick (#120) as well as trading a 2025 3rd RD pick (#79) to draft him. If we have to watch Tua every week most likely this season and next, shouldn’t we try to see what we have in Wright because of the draft capital we gave up for him? I’d like to see the offense get a little more well rounded, using more than just De’Von Achane. I’m guessing Mike McDaniel doesn’t care if Achane is worn down to nubs as long as he gets to keep his job, so we can probably guess that it will remain the “Achane Show” until he’s unavailable.
It would also be nice to see our young players like LG Jonah Savaiinaea and DL Kenneth Grant and Zeek Biggers continue to develop and give us some hope for the future. As per usghe, I’ll make my weekly plea to see QB Quinn Ewers get some playing time, but realistically, he needs practice reps with the starters and and that will only occur when we either lose one more game which will pretty much seal us out of “In the Hunt” status. The other option of course is if QB Tua Tagovailoa gets injured which is extremely unlikely, not because he’s an iron man, but because he plays like a guy scared to get hurt and doesn’t put himself in harms way, ever. That’s fine when you’re up 3 TD’s but if you need plays, you know you can count on him not to make them to stay safe. Maybe we can use our TE’s and WR’s a little more too, let Waddle have a big game, and feed Malik Washington and Maybe even get Nick Westbrook-Ikhine some chances. It’s looking less likely that TE Darren Waller will play this weekend but very likely that he’ll be back next weekend. The Dolphins should be OK against the toothless Saints who have no offense with or without RB Alvin Kamara, scoring only 15 PPG, 31st in the NFL. They make our offense look like a juggernaut!
GO DOLPHINS!!!

I do feel we need to use Wright and Gordon more and spread the ball on offense better. They are putting too much on Achane.
agreed
No need to burnout Achane, just for some fake exhibition games, he has nothing to prove
“The Dolphins should be OK against the toothless Saints…”

Markeyh and Mike E,
100% agreed on Achane being overused, possibly leading to a very serious injury. I think many in Dolphins’ Nation would concur.
It’s time to see what Wright and Gordon have, so as to lighten the overburdening load on Achane.
I think you’re like a 7 yr old, if you still talk about the draft from 3 years ago to determine anything about the current roster
But what if it’s from last year? 😒
that too
The roster is the roster, with Grier gone, there’s no reason to to repeat his incompetence
I’d like to see Achane start the game in the slot, with Wright as the RB
Agree on getting Ikhine some touches
OL seems to be Ok, playing with an FB and Brunskill eligible running the ball, with Jackson we may get a better idea of what the pass blocking was supposed to be
Going forward we should, within reason, get guys ready for 2026 even at the expense of wins
Daaaaa Bears
Steve – it’s more than just Grier now though. It’s MM’s over reliance on Achane and not trusting either Wright or Gordon to get chances. I wonder if we lose a game if that will change because I think one loss will put the playoff talk to sleep
what does that have to do with talking about where/how a guy is drafted?
Play guys that have talent, deserve a shot based on what they show in practice
If they can contribute take a chance
I’d also like to see Tahj given a shot
If you read the article, you’d know. The main reason we’re going to continue to play Tua is his salary. I equated draft capital with salary. They’re both important, you expend either on a player, you want something out of them. It’s time to get some value out of those picks
where do you think the 7 yr old came from
we aren’t playing Tua, because of his contract, he gives us the best chance to win
I’m done with Tua, but hard to argue Ewers or Wilson are better
things the Fins did well this season
Figure out how to beat the bills
The use OL as an eligible to run the ball, instead of the retarded use of an unblocking TE
Stop the run, after a rough start
Get rookies involved
our O needs a makeover, in other words a new HC
our D could use continuity, so retain Weaver, which may include giving him the HC position
there’s not really anyone like an Andy Reid out there, if Weaver can’t HC replace him in 2027

I fundamentally disagree with this statement. Why? Those cats drafted 3 years ago should be showing up and being the core of this team… they aren’t. That’s an indictment on how poorly General Grief had drafted — in this instance — 3 years ago, thus his dismissal mid-season.
And cats we’d drafted 4 and 5 years ago under General Grief? They earned their right to become FAs.
And WHY? Because we needed to clear enough cap space for FAs ‘Reek, Ramsey, and the looming contract extension of Tua… who has regressed due to injuries.
Drafts Matter.
General Grief may be gone, but we’re still sleeping in the bed he created… and will continue to for several years.
NOBODY… not a new GM or new HC is going to get us out of the mess Grief put us in for several years.
yes, all true
my point was talking or worrying about where a player was drafted is like crying about spilled milk. It’s in the past let it go
we don’t need to play someone, because of where they were drafted and it does not good to worry about what was given up to acquire them
in the no s***, sherlock category Tua must be replaced. We can’t win with him in the playoffs
We need a receiving tight end.Waller’s okay, but we can’t count on him
we need the groom some offensive line.To take over for jackson and daniels
we need a number two wide receiver
on d we need a pass rusher, the corner back and a safety
Istill say first 3 to 5 rounds. Take BPA, after the second or third year. It won’t matter what the needs were the year these guys were drafted, but it will make the future team better
Drew Mestemaker/North Texas lighting up Temple.
Steve – I wish what you’re saying was true. If it was, there wouldn’t be talk of MM being retained so he could work with Tua. Unfortunately, it’s not true, and endless we lose a game in the next couple if weeks, I think that talk will continue.
the talk of MM being retained has nothing to do with Tua’s contract
if Tua is gone after the 2026 season what’s the point in retaining MM, just to make Tua look better?
it appears MMs Tua project is already over we’re a running team now
Curious to hear your opinions on this. Not sure if any of you were watching the Eagles vs Bears game. Eagles down 24-15 with about 3:30 remaining in the game after scoring a TD. Would you go for 2 then or kick the extra point and stay alive? My immediate take was kick the extra point, try to hold the Bears, get the ball back, and then try to score another TD and then go for 2. If you miss the first time, it’s game over. I don’t see why you do that?. If you score two TD’s, I feel like you have all the momentum in the world on your side. What do you think?
I agree with you, I don’t think going for 2 early makes any sense
unless you’re down multiples of 8 always extra point
our Eagles’ 3rd looking better last few days
^
of course. How they finish in the playoffs is gonna be the ultimate, butThe more losses they get, the harder it will be.For them to adv
never notice before the forty second clock in college, after the play, it doesn’t start right away.So there could actually be forty three forty four seconds between plays
Honestly, I agree more with Steve on this topic. Grier was an idiot, and his replacement will hopefully not be drafting lots of RBs. So…seeing what the backup RBs are worth isn’t really important because they are easily replaceable with late draft picks or undrafted dudes. Just based off SF, their #2 RB has twice as many yards as Gordon with a similar number of touches. No one cares what his worth is. Another example is the Ravens. No one gives a shit what Rasheen Ali and Keaton Mitchell do. Easily replaceable position.
Same for Ewers. It would be nice to see what he has as a backup but that’s what he is. A permanent backup QB. Dude wasn’t amazing in college and he’s not going to beat out an amazing QB. He helps us get more losses is his primary value. That’s just not that important at this point when we have no chance of beating Tenn, the Saints, Raiders, Jets, or Giants for a top tier player. He would have been good early if we sat Tua but that’s not an option right now.
Honestly, the only important decision is if we keep McFailure and the backup GM. I’m hoping not and I’d love to see us push for John Harbaugh or Chucky. Either one would ensure we get a solid GM because they have connections to talented individuals. That’s what we really need. A pipeline to great talent evaluators.
Only go for 2 when you have to. Don’t chase pts
Steve – From what I hear, the people saying MM needs to come back because Tua will still be here and they work well together. It’s as if bringing in anew HC would be unfair to Tua. I could be wrong, but that’s how I interpret the situation. I guess we’ll see what happens at season’s end
Lol! Unfair to Tua, fuck Tua he held Grier for ransom and Grier’s candy ass caved
Tua is the reason we have a cloudy future, he ca go suck a bag of dicks
Big win for Texas last night. Though, Arch Manning is still shaky. He has a way to go.
Indiana was Indiana yesterday. Their offense is so balanced, almost to perfection. Purdue had a good game plan to stop their passing game. Fernando Mendoza had his worst game I had ever seen. Purdue dropped 3 potential INT’s. I have said this twice before, Mendoza does not throw a good back shoulder pass. He always throws to the defenders side of the WR.
Good thing is they could turn to their really good OL and run the ball as they ran for 355 yards vs Purdue. Mendoza will have to be on his “A” game if they face Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship.
Another thing about Indiana and I will get off my homer bandwagon, I like the way their defense attacks. They lead the nation in tackles for loss and they do it mostly with their front 4. It’s like they run a 4-3 but their DE’s are more like big Edge/OLB. Almost like they run a 2-5-4.
One Edge on Indiana I like is Stephen Daily, 6’1, 260. He’s a senior transfer from Kent State. He has 35 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 2 FF and he leads the nation in tackles for loss with 18 going against some good OL in the Big Ten.
I think he would be worth a late day 3 pick if we were to double down on edge.
From the IU/Purdue game, another player who caught my eye was Purdue senior ILB Mani Powell, 6’2, 230. He leads the Big Ten in tackling with 110 tackles, 12 TFL, 5 sacks and 1 FF.
He would be another late day 3 option.
More good matchups today. I think we could see anywhere from 1 to 3 upsets today.
A perfect day today. A snowstorm, hunkered down with 2 TVs and football!
BBM jealous!
What a bullshit non-reversal call in the Ohio State/Michigan game. Jeremiah Smith was bobbling the ball crossing the goal line. Didn’t regain possession until after his right foot landed partly out of bounds. It should have been a touchback.
Looks like the fix is in between Ohio St/Michigan. Already ruined the rest of the game for me. Horrible….should have been a touchback, not TD for Ohio St.
^
every college sport is the same, the officiating is bigger than the game, at least that’s what the officials think
I understand they’re just doing as told, just pointing out tge 30,000′ view
NFL just as bad this year
Should only be 10-9 Ohio State
I turned it off at halftime. We all know what will happen in the second half.

Ah… I got ya, man! I read ya the wrong way. My bad.
I’m hoping to catch Rice at USF @ 7:00 PM/EST. I’ve yet to see UCF senior QB Byrum Brown in action.
6’3″, 231, and he’s likely go over 3,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing for the season this evening. He just might a diamond in the rough at the QB position this Draft.
https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/byrum-brown-1.html
*USF, not UCF. Hate typos!
Big Jonah update…
Jonah is #1 of all (left or right) NFL Guards in pressures yielded (30), tied for #1 in hurries yielded (24), and tied for #2 in sacks yielded (4).
I’m speechless… as we burned 2 (TWO!) Day 2 picks to acquire his services.
In the meantime — and albeit with not enough snaps to qualify on the BIG stage — my guy Wyatt Milum is the #6 pass-blocking Guard in the NFL this season.
Milum went in the 3rd round (89th overall) to the Jags. If memory serves, Milum never once surrendered a sack at West Virginia playing LT as a full-time starter since his freshman season.
The undrafted FA Guard Torricelli Simpkins III from South Carolina (playing for the Saints) is running circles around Big Jonah.
Simpkins III’s overall rating is 10.1 points higher than Big Jonah. *sigh*
Punch thrown by a PSU defender. Ref’s didn’t catch it.
Kaytron Allen is a MF’n STUD!
TD, Nate Singleton!!!
NICK Singleton, WTH is wrong with me?!!
So… Singleton becomes the ALL-TIME greatest scorer in PSU history, and Allen is the ALL-TIME rushing leader in PSU history.
DEADLY DUO in the PSU backfield.
Such a shame PSU couldn’t do more this season.
Brian,
If you’re out there, I heard Nick Saban is endorsing Brian Daboll to be the next PSU HC.
Not sure I feel about that, to be honest…
That stated, I presume Nick Saban isn’t throwing his hat in the ring to be the next PSU HC.
Nor is PSU (currently) throwing enough $$$ for Terry Saban to allow her husband to come back to coaching.
yes, I read that as well. He doesn’t have a ton of college experience- I’d be a little worried about his recruiting abilities, at least to start.
PSU is turning into RB University.
And give those BIG FUGLIES on their O-Line much credit. Can’t run the ball unless those BIG FUGLIES are doing their job.
Catch of the year by Rutgers!
https://x.com/BigTenNetwork/status/1994914229615210828
Great catch!
AJ Duff is going to be really good. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went into the portal this offseason.
M13,
you can pretty much name any guard in the NFL, and they are better than Jonah
YUP!
Kaytron Allen 4 President!!!
PSU wins! Now Bowl eligible. GREAT JOB, Terry Smith!
if you take the OSU game out of the equations, PSU lost five games by a total of 16 points
Yup! I’d be just fine in keeping Terry Smith on… so long as he can recruit well. Don’t know that he can, but he did one HELLUVA job after Franklin was fired.
Diego Pavia is fun to watch.
Sorry, not PSU talk, lol
LOL! All good, Bookman!
Looking forward to the next games!
🍻
Agreed. But we are talking about Penn St.
kidding- did you watch that SEC documentary on Netflix? He was pretty likeable in that .
I did not see that. I dont have Netflix
I will say that Tennessee is the Penn St of the SEC. They can’t seem to beat the top teams in their conference. I swear….being a Vols fan.
That does it… USF QB Byrum Brown has made my ‘man-crush’ list. No… NOT as a 1st round QB, OBVIOUSLY.
Byrum Brown is going to RISE on the Draft boards, guaranteed.
Cannon of an arm, can run incredibly well (for a QB), and he’s got the size of an NFL QB.
Brown is Cam Newton-esque, albeit he’s in a lesser conference.
He won’t be a day 1 starter for any NFL team.
Brown is only 40 rushing yards away from 1,000 on the season.
6’3″, 231 pounds
BBM, what do you think of USCs QB Maiava
What a great night!
Ooops, couldn’t paste the image.
Byrum Brown with a Dan Marino-esque LASER to his WR for the TD.
That throw had Nolan Ryan speed on it.

Diego Pavia is fun to watch.
——
He is. I said just last week I wish he were a bigger QB.
Steve, re: Jayden Maiava. I like him, good size. I have been watching him since he was a freshman at UNLV. He still makes some bone head throws that he hasn’t improved on from his first 2 seasons.
I think he stays his senior year. If not, he’s definitely worth a day 3 pick.
We have a game in Auburn!
Go Dolphins!!!

Vega Ioane is an interesting prospect on that OL. Actually, I read where he is much better in pass pro than in run blocking. He could be one of the best pass pro OG’s in this next draft. Though, I don’t think he is a great fit for ZBS as a run blocker. I’m not sure if he is quick enough for a ZBS but he sure does have power and a good anchor.
I suppose that depends on whether or not McDaniel is here or not. It would actually be pretty detrimental to the growth of this team if we draft and have drafted lineman for a ZBS, and then McDaniel is gone this year or next.
if you look around the league, PSU has put some pretty good OL into the NFL. Not a ton of elite players, but definitely solid ones that have stuck around a while.
Go Phins!
Waller the TD machine is back baby! 😂
it’s game day bitches
Go Dolphins
I just did a test run on Madden and one 31 to 9
two had one touchdown one interception 180 yards
That’s probably accurate. $52M game manager. Can’t wait to see the rest of this season and then all of 2026 with him at the helm. He brings such excitement to the league!
Ewers still inactive, emergency 3rd QB. I guess that will continue until we lose a game
I’m psyched. I get to watch one of the premier 1 vs 1 battle in football ight now. Trent Williams against Myles Garrett. Christmas comes early for Randy!
Welcome to the Achane Show!
Let’s Go Jackson! Welcome back
Wait! Are we allowed to use Jaylen Wright?
Wright sighting
statue sighting
once he got to the edge I knew he would score
let’s go Achane
WOOT WOOT just like on madden
I’ll be watching it around matches between Iowa and Iowa State wrestling, of course.
If you watch this team play every week, do we really need Tua?
no
Well, he did recover from his own fuckup to scoop up the fumble and complete it to Washington…Would Jet’s Stink have done as well?
I hate that the lesbian volleyball player is the backup. I want Ewers!
We don’t have Drew Lock. LOL
if it weren’t for Tua standing in concrete on one play – that drive would have been perfect
He should have dumped it off to the full back after he help up the rusher.
wasted drive – 2 bad throws
just give Achane the ball
Because I know y’all care. Second wrestling match…first bloody nose.
Sit further from the TV 🤡
lol
Toba,
Lol. I was watching and shaking my head as they shove wads of gauze into the kid’s nose. 40 years and they still just shove shit up your nose and make it completely impossible to breath right. Progress!
Some methods just work 🤷♂️
I understand that losses can improve chances of change , and better draft spot , but still enjoy watching our team beat on someone ..
the off-season is long enough, can’t root for it now
Think of the games as single episodes of tv show as opposed to part of something connected 🤷♂️
wasted play
up 10-0 feels like we’re losing
First down punt
Tua fucks up another perfect opportunity.
Dumb throw
Identical to the e one that Washington had to break up
Tua’s deep ball sucks
He’s like a tralling piece of shit (floater)
Tua sucks! There . . . I fixed it!
I miss Bat. I’d love to hear what he would have to say about Tua
was that just in?
Tua throwing into double coverage like its the first time he threw a pass in pee wee football
🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
a what?
quack
I thought was a reference of a Duck .. as in what Tua threw up
does it quack?
aiight, maybe you guys don’t have kids
I think part of Achane’s game is only running fast enough to make the play, always keeping that extra gear ready
I have to give McDaniel some credit. If I had to deal with Tua’s arrogance and incompetence almost daily, I’d probably have tried to cave his skull in at some point.
While I don’t think Tua will be replaced, I am game to see Ewers or even some rando next year. He grates on me.
lol.
they keep saying MM is handicapped calling plays for Tua, if true (not sure I can stomach it), maybe MM needs another chance without Tua
I’ve thought about that a lot. Mike is really bad at getting plays in on time and his leadership skills. I think he could be a solid OC though.
Tua SUCKS!!!!!!
^^^
wow Tua
Tua ruins an easy TD pass there
wow – he’s so bad
We should have a minimum of 20 points right now. The Tua effect.
feels a lot like the OSU vs UCLA Rosenowl game in the ’70s
OSU up 6-0 at half, after driving up and down the field got blown out in 2nd half
Well before my time, but it does feel like a game where we might let them back in it because we’re leaving so many points on the field.
exactly my point
Yeah, I gotcha
Shedeur Sanders 8/11 for 96 yards and a really nice 34 yard TD against a good 49’ers team. Rookie 5th rounder. Tua, 6th year in the league, 6/12 for 87 yards and another ugly int to his league leading 13. Just pick someone, anyone. They can’t be much worse.
at this point Tua is nothing more than a game manager, that won’t stick his neck on the line, even a little bit, to make a play
I don’t care what they told him to do, he doesn’t even stand in the pocket to throw against pressure
He’s Geno Smith but paid a lot more and a lot younger. Both have been 6-year starters. Gino has had three 3600+ passing yard seasons. Tua has only had one. Both should be backups but I hope we can fool someone in 2027.
Rams and panthers entertaining game
bait the rookie
Hill has upped his blocking game
why the heck did we call our last timeout there?!
This fucking team and the way they use timeouts. What the fuck
Wow
Had time to spike it , make a TD try (probable INT LOL) then set up for a FG .. but NOOOOOO
We had 1:02 on the clock and ran 3 fucking plays before having to kick it
With a timeout, lol
don’t blame MM for not trusting Tua there…
Kiki Alonso in for the FG
Tara boy Patterson 👍😎😎
Or atta boy
The way a bad kicker can really screw up your game, and having to find a guy right before the start of the season, Patterson has been excellent.
stupid TO by MM
he’s probably seen enough of Tua’s BS, prolly just wanted the fist pump
That really had to be it; I can’t come up with any other reason for what we just saw, lol.
Seriously, how do you go into the 2026 season thinking Tua is your starting QB?
I’ve hated MM with a passion, but really starting to think everything is Tua’s fault
Tua did some good things earlier in his career, even last year, but now its painfully obvious he’s going to retire soon
he got his money, now he’s just going thru the motions
