Like a stairway to heaven, the Miami Dolphins have been taking all the right steps to get back to legitimacy. Firing former GM Chris Grier was STEP 1. Sitting QB Tua Tagovailoa was STEP 2. Finally firing Head Coach Mike McDaniel was STEP 3. Hiring GM Jon-Eric Sullivan was STEP 4. The next step hopefully complete the cycle in a positive way. The most important thing the Miami Dolphins did was hire what seems like a truly competent man to run the Organization. He has the requisite scouting background and was responsible for building the roster in Green Bay, and he had done well there in that capacity. Now, there is one man who is above all others, and he will have the final say on all things involving the team as far as players and personnel.
Head Coach John Harbaugh is not coming here. Ross is a pretty malleable guy, especially when it comes to getting what he wants, but it appears that John Harbaugh truly does want the keys to the kingdom and all its riches, and I don’t believe Ross will accommodate that. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any excellent candidates for the Miami Dolphins to hire. There’s a Head Coach not named John Harbaugh that has nearly an identical record as Head Coach in the NFL.
John Harbaugh 180-113. .614 Playoffs 13-11
Mike McCarthy 174-112 .608 Playoffs 11-11
Uncanny that over a span of 18 years, that these two coaches are so close in their records, for different teams in different conferences, Harbaugh all 18 with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC, and McCarthy with 13 years with the Green Bay Packers and then 5 with the Dallas Cowboys, all in the NFC. I’m not advocating for the hiring of Mike McCarthy, but should we be looking for a Head Coach with a resume quite even with Jim Harbaugh’s, he exists. I know we have struck out with hiring first time Head Coaches, from Nick Saban to Cam Cameron to Tony Sparano to Joe Philbin to Adam Gase to Brian Flores and finally to Mike McDaniel. Just like some of the QB’s in the NFL, a lot of it is timing. Look at Baker Mayfield, and Sam Darnold. Both players flourishing after failing in their first NFL contracts, and the same goes for Coaches. I think it’s possible that both Brian Flores and Mike McDaniel can succeed for their next teams, they just have to be the right fit for that organization. If Tua stayed healthy and competitive, Mike McDaniel might still be here.
I’m 100% not against hiring another first time Head Coach. There’s been a lot of discussion over GB DC Jeff Hafley. The LA Rams DC is a household name in Miami, Chris Shula. Former Miami Dolphins DC Anthony Campanile is a hot name right now too. I have to say I loved that guy’s attitude and fire while he was here. If you watched last night’s game, Indiana’s Head Coach Curt Cignetti might garner some interest, although I have no idea whether he would want to enter the NFL ranks. The point is, there are options out there, and all is not lost if we don’t get John Harbaugh, who no doubt is an excellent candidate. Most of all, I trust that we have the right man in place to make that most important decision, and once again I stress that it will be HIS decision, and that decision will refelct directly on him, no one else. Full accountability and responsibility. The right way! Finally!
GO DOLPHINS!!!

Tuten is anything but common for the JAGS!
😂😂😂😂 I see what you did there!
And the JAGs take the lead with a TD!
Coen is another great coach snagged last year. Dude has really turned around both the Jags and their QB. Lawrence still has his flaws, but this is the best he’s played since college.
^
Markey – that money is wasted already. Why further waste it watching an IDGAF QB with no arm or legs or a care in the world about winning show all our newly drafted rookies how NOT to be a professional football player?
We will have to agree to disagree on this one. I am willing to see what Tua looks like next season, and if he is healthy and in shape, I would make him our starter for the 2026 season. Like I said, I don’t want to be the team that paid the largest dead money deal in NFL history.
I said that though Markey, but I wouldn’t hold my breath that he’s going to put in an extraordinary effort to do that. Sure, if he comes in with a great attitude thst he’ll do whatever the team needs to win and is in great shape, of course he has to be part of the competition for QB, but the days of just handing him the job are waaaay over, he has to earn it now
I don’t understand football anymore.
What specifically?
Why has getting a field Goal a bad thing over no points at all?
Should have taken the points in a FG.
Why are we still wondering what a veteran QB is or isn’t? Tua sucks. Bye bye can’t come soon enough. We need to move away from the sort of offense he can manage anyway. They will regret not getting rid of him immediately. Money isn’t everything.
This is how I feel.
LOL!!! I agree wholeheartedly, with the exception that he comes back in great shape and a better attitude but I think that’s very unlikely. Why didn’t he do that last season? Lazy-fucking-rich-guy-syndrome
MikeE,
Jacksonville going for it and not taking the points with a lead early in the playoffs. It’s just dumb.
Agreed!
This 4th down trend is just dumb. Its the first half with the lead!
teams going for it on 4th down so much has driven me crazy for the last couple of years
Got a turnover on the kickoff. Take the gifted 3 points!
Josh Allen is hurting. First a possible concussion (he cleared from the blue tent), then his passing hand got injured hitting his O-Lineman’s helmet after a pass, now his knee.
I mentioned it yesterday, it’s insane how much the game has changed. The Bears went for it on 4th down like 6 times yesterday including twice inside their own 40 in the 1st half- both of which cost them. Yet they still won.
fucking kickers
Hit 20 in a row before that. Channeling his inner Tua
The last two weekends I’ve watched kickers lose games for their teams 3 times so far
Nothing says “fucking kickers” (as in, kickers who fuck) like…
DICKER the KICKER!!!
lol, that name, he was born to kick. We always call that guy out when he’s playing.
I understand the 4th down go for it strategy and like it most of the time. There are times where you definitely want to take the FG, but 4 chances to make a 1st instead of 3 is definitely better. McDaniel has done it numerous times. It cost Dan Campbell a shot at the Super Bowl. It’s definitely a use wisely tactic.
The metrics on it have really changed as the rules have changed to favor the offense. In so many games a fg is considered a losing play or a win by the defense now. It’s wild.
Romo says Allen taking a fairly soft hit to his PADDED torso and he’s taking a beating. QB announcers are pathetic.
Josh Allen on Josh Allen violence today.
I don’t think Lawrence has looked very good today. He’s missed on a number of throws.
Jacksonville has got to stick to their running game
Tuten and Ettiene are each averaging over 12 yards a carry; why would they stick with that?
Time of possession
Bills: 25:57 Jags: 15:40
That must be the Lawrence of the regular season. He made some excellent throws on that drive.
They might be trying to bait Allen into an INT. Jax has a good enough defense to win this.
If they actually spot that ball where he started to give himself up, he wasn’t close.
Rams/ Panthers – 28 points in the 4th
Packers/ Bears – 31 points in the 4th
Bills/ Jags – 14 points 6 minutes into the 4th
JAGs* back on top again!
It’s shaping up to be another fantastic finish to this game!
I’m going to say this preemptively… if the Bills end up losing this game and Sean McDermott gets fired, I’m not interested in hiring him as our HC.
If ya can’t win with Josh Allen as your QB, with a venerable Defense over the last several seasons (not so much this season), and you have a RB in James Cook who led the NFL in rushing yardage this season… you ain’t “IT”.
Dolphins ask to interview sixth coach candidate, one who has ties to new GM
The Dolphins are requesting to interview Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, according to a league source confirming an initial ESPN report Sunday afternoon.
Hafley, 46, has held that role in Green Bay, where Sullivan was vice president of player personnel, for two seasons. Incidentally, he succeeded Joe Barry, Dolphins linebackers coach the past two years, in that role for the Packers.
Hafley joins the five coach interview requests revealed Saturday: former Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, former Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator and former New York Jets coach Robert Saleh, Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula.
Another caveat to Green Bay’s defeat, after leading 21-3, is that Packers coach Matt LaFleur could now be on the hot seat. If Green Bay were to let LaFleur go, a reunion with Sullivan in Miami could be in the works.
These interview candidates look like what it must feel like to be dating after divorce.
I can’t believe they didn’t respot that ball
lol, didn’t matter anyway
TWO plays in a row where the zebras favored the Bills! BS!!!
That last spot was a travesty.
Another example of how the rules have warped everything. Nobody wants to get flagged for hitting a QB or throwing his ass to the ground, and they get another 10 yards. Ridiculous
could have easily been a flag. Holding his hip.
Sometimes I wonder if it’s not the Dolphins that are cursed, rather that it’s me. It seems like every week, whichever team I root for fucking loses. I’m 0-3 in the playoffs so far.
I’m rooting for the Eagles to beat the Niners if anyone wants to bet a boatload of money on the Niners, lol.
LOL!!
RIGGED GAME, IMO!!!
Another year of playoff football and envying every team’s QB.
Great game! Allen does it again.
TDS 2025-6 NFL Wild Card Playoff Predictions
I got the Buffalo game 100% correct
I’m also 3 for 3 so far 🙂
It’s kind of amazing. I don’t really hate any team right now, and much more importantly, I don’t hate the Miami Dolphins anymore either. I’m feeling happy where we’re at and I feel like we have a bright future here. It’s so strange, but I really don’t want Harbaugh
I’ve been reading he’s narrowed it down to 3 or 4 teams and we’re not on the list.
Good! I don’t want him coming here and fucking up the organizational team balance. We hired a competent guy in JES and I really don’t want Harbaugh coming here and taking over everything. I trust in JES to choose the right Head Coach
He might go to Cleveland. He grew up a Browns fan being from Akron and he gets to play the Ravens twice a year.
For the Browns, they would be better off with Harbaugh

During an appearance on NFL GameDay Morning, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero named the New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins as the leading suitors for Harbaugh.
I continue to hear the same, Markey. We’re still in pursuit of Harbaugh.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47573091/john-harbaugh-limit-coaching-interviews-teams
I read he’s likely only to interview with the Browns, Falcons, Giants and Titans. But that hasn’t been confirmed.
If we interview him, then obviously we’re still in play. We’ll find out later this week.
Your report was yesturday the one I posted was this morning. Who really knows with clickbait nowadays? But knowing how enamored Mr Ross is with the Hrabagh’s I would not count us out.
Glazer also reported today he’d only interview with a few teams.
“He said ‘every team has reached out,’ but he’s not going to go and do that [interview with every team]. He’s going to narrow it down this weekend to about three or four teams and make his decision on where he wants to go this week,” Glazer said on Saturday’s edition of “FOX NFL Sunday.”
oh, nvmd, that says Saturdays edition, lol
The Brownies are interviewing Capri McD for their HC position. Who would they rather have… McD or Harbaugh? LOL
I still don’t understand why they even want MM
HC desperate for a job and QB redemption will to take less pay and has low demands from an organization.
Another missed PAT
fucking kickers
WTF?
Remember hiw explosive Kittle used to be? What happened to him? They hardly use him anymore
Yeah, injuries have really impacted him. I remember thinking he was up there as the best TE in the NFL a couple years ago, but he hasn’t sustained it.
Yeah he’s been getting banged up.
He was a great blocker, tenacious blocker, but he used to be hellacious when he caught the ball, his run after catch ability was off the charts
That’s why he’s not the same, he’s played physical football for how many years now?
When you guys type JES I think it’s short for Jessica and I know a bunch of them. 😂
I also sometimes think it’s JETS for a blink.
Yes, a few guys here have said the same. I said day one it’s a good thing his name isn’t Jon-Eric Thomas Sullivan. lol
😂 I saw that.
Sully is a common nickname for a Sullivan.
Maybe we should just call JES Sully
Now let’s not get crazy, that’s too many typing moves. 😂
No, I meant Sully, not JES Sully. lol
Tim – Owe you one
Let’s do that for our new HC. 🍺
As long as we’re happy with the hire, you got it! I expect to be
Just a reminder. Sullivan doesn’t go by ‘JES’, either…
@flasportsbuzz
FYI: Sullivan goes by JE or Sully: “I don’t like introducing myself as Jon-Eric because I see people tilt their head: Is this your first and middle name? Is this your whole first or last name?”
Sully it is for me, showing the man respect.
First thing my wife said was ‘what’s the deal with the hyphenated first names?’
Lol…it’s common in Texas. A dude introduced himself as John wayne…and I responded giving him my first and last name thinking he dod…nope. . they using their first and middle names as combos
….it’s a thing…
Of the candidates I’ve seen floated around for us I like Klint Kubiak the best.
We have completed an interview with Klint Kubiak already so he is in the mix.
That’s why I said I liked him the best.
Good call to pick up that flag, the center was engaged the whole time
Tank Bigsby looking like Bill Bixby wearing the green… if ya know what I mean!
Where’s Ken (our resident Hulkster)?!!
CavKong, I LUVED that series as a little kid… though it spooked me at times!
And that song was (and still is) SO GRAND to me!
The lonely man song playing as he inevitably left whatever town he was in at the end of the episode always touched me.
Me too, man! Me too.
That piano is perfection to me.
Rock’s boy Goeddert having a day!
There is Kittle getting injured again

Hiring him as our HC would keep our Offense in the WCO mentality. His father was an incredible football mind, who I give more credit than Mike Shanahan for the success of the Denver Broncos in the late 90s… Kubiak and Alex Gibbs (RIP).
Yeah, I was pounding the table for his dad back when we were moving on from Philbin so he could better utilize Tannehill’s strengths, but then we got follow the taco eyes.
I’d be good with the hiring of Klint Kubiak.
And yessir…. Gary Kubiak was a STUD of a coach, IMO.
For some reason I wouldn’t mind Robert Saleh as our next HC
I thought he got a raw deal going to the Jest. I’d take him as our HC.
I endorse this message as well
He LOOKS like a no shit HC , not a country club waiter
AAAAHHHH SHIT!!!
They played “The Humpty Dance” going into commercial break!!!
LOVE IT!!!
RIP, SHOCK G.
Yes, that’s Shock G as my avatar!
Dolphins Could Get Cap Relief With Release of All-Pro
The Dolphins’ new management group will have to make a few tough decisions in their first offseason. Perhaps none more important than the decision of five-time All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The Dolphins star receiver has a $51 million cap hit in the 2026 season, and he’ll be coming off a dislocated knee injury that cost him a majority of the season. His 2025 season carried a $27.6 million cap hit. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, stated that Hill will be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 season. Despite that, a $51 million cap hit for a receiver coming off a major injury may be too much for the Dolphins to take on.
ESPN analyst Marcel Louis-Jacques said, “there’s no way Hill returns on his current deal — if at all.” Additionally, Miami Herald writer Barry Jackson said, Tyreek Hill is “expected to be a cap casualty.” Hill has no guaranteed money left on his deal.
Shock G ain’t nothing but trouble
😆
The NFL and lots of other networks are honoring the now late, great Bob Weir. RIP Bobby.
He was great! RIP, Bobby Weir.
I concur with SB7… Klint Kubiak would be a very good hire.
Well tell us how you REALLY feel! LOL
I tried to post a Dead tune. Something seems to have changed. WordPress strikes again.
Oy! Yes… WordPress bloody sucks.
I just can’t agree with this…
Ah the nostalgia I feel watching Phillips playing with the Eagles- overrunning the QB on the pass rush and continually not getting home lol
LOL
In Pennsy there is a big mall called the King of Prussia Mall. Phillips is the King of Pressure. Not the sack, just the pressure
I love that mall, by the way!
I’ve gotten many of my threads there at the KoPM, and there are shops for almost anybody.
One of the rare malls today that isn’t going asunder and keeps things fresh.
I have been to the King of Prussia Hooters, but I’m not sure it’s there anymore. LOL
Every time Gronk is talking I expect him to finish his sentences by smashing a beer can on his forehead. He sounds like such a meathead.
I think if there was ever a singe take that everyone on this board could agree on, and I mean every single mobster, it’s that wordpress sucks.
^
YES!
Mike E,
Ever go to “The Crossings” in Tannersville, PA?
Nope, I don’t think so. I was in Pennsy this summer though for a wedding. Deep into Pennsy, in Pittsburgh, and I’ve been to Philly and Lancaster and Peddler’s Village.
Philly a whole lotta times.
What’s up with “The Crossings”?
Tim – I tried to find your comment with the Dead tune and there’s nothing there. It didn’t go to spam, it’s just empty. Try again, I’ll approve it.
I don’t get the paste option.
Just put up the link, I’ll put it through if it goes to spam or it’s not approved
Why would you fair catch it at the 5
I’m sure most of you watched the Tom Brady roast. Nikki Glazer was fucking hilarious on that, when she was talking about crypto and she was making fun of Brady for getting stung by crypto and said “Even Gronk knew better, he was like Gronk know that not real money!”.
She is hilarious
Yes, she really stole that show
M – The Crossings?
I agree with this post way more than Tim’s.
It just hits different when I post it, I get it. lol
🤣
Nice! The Dead were always known as a live jam band. ✌️❤️
Kittle has a torn achilles. Fuck!
I don’t even care that it’s Brady, that Pizza Hut commercial effing cracks me up.

———
Do an internet search on it. It’s in the Poconos, and very close to the border of New Jersey. Lots of outlets there, with something for nearly everyone,
I’ve purchased many threads from there as well.
