It wasn’t the guy I expected us to draft, but it was the position I wanted without question. The O-line is a joke, we have 2 players on that line that are solid in LT Patrick Paul and C Aaron Brewer. That’s it! Jon-Eric Sullivan’s first move in the 2026 NFL Draft was trading back from #11 to #12, one spot with the Dallas Cowboys. We acquired two 5th RD picks, #177 and #180 to move back one spot, and break the hearts of quite a few fans here who wanted S Caleb Downs. One guy who probably was thrilled with the pick was RB De’Von Achane, and another guy was certainly QB Malik Willis. I’m looking forward to having these massive bookends on our O-line, it’s been way too long since this O-line was a strength, and not coincidentally, way too long since this team was a legit contender. Patrick Paul at 6’7 326 and Kadyn Proctor 6’7 352.

Jon-Eric Sullivan’s next trade in the draft was a trade up, as the Dolphins moved from RD1 Pick #30 to Pick #27 by trading Pick #30 and Pick #90 (RD 3) for the #27 Pick and and a 4th RD pick #138. The Dolphins at #27 selected San Diego St. Cornerback Chris Johnson. The 6’0 193lb CB will undoubtedly be pushed to start at the very important CB position. I had hoped we never traded up in this draft, I want more picks, but we really didn’t lose any picks, we just moved back from RD 3 to RD 4. Listen, it’s way too early to judge picks, but I would say the majority of us figured we’d go O-line and CB, and that’s precisely what we did. If/when S Caleb Downs is a perennial All Pro, and Kadyn Proctor is 6’7 380 and the fattest turnstile in Dolphins history, go ahead, pound your chest because you were right. On the other hand, if OT Kadyn Proctor is a motivated player here, and is mauling defenders at the LOS and downfield with regularity and provides solid protection for our QB, I won’t have a care in the world what Caleb Downs is doing.
Day 2 coming up tonight at 7:30 will have the Dolphins waiting 11 spots at Pick #43 and then we’ll have three selections in RD 3, #75, 87 and 94. I won’t be shocked (or disappointed) if we tap a guy for the O-line again in RD 3. LT Patrick Paul, LG Jonah Savaiinaea, C Aaron Brewer, RG Kadyn Proctor, RT Austin Jackson (if healthy). 2 gaping holes bigger than the space between Michael Strahan’s two front teeth that needed to be filled. I personally do not want to hand Big Jonah that job, and I also didn’t want to see OG Jamaree Salyer start at RG. I’m aware we could have selected an OG later and we still might do that. How many times have we been failed by the O-line? How many times have we had to watch an injury torpedo the success of that unit? Two injuries? If not injuries, just out and out subpar play? It’s been a nightmare, and we took one step in attempting to fix that. You all saw the run on the O-line, it was real, and it will probably continue.
I think we’ll probably grab a WR and possibly a TE as well, but where, who knows? I’m curious to see if we move back again in RD 2, that wouldn’t surprise me. We definitely need EDGE help so RD 2 would be a good place to grab one. Players still available at the EDGE position are Zion Young, Cashius Howell, T.J. Parker, Gabe Jacas, Derrick Moore and R. Mason Thomas. We’ll see if we nab one of those guys in RD 2, and then maybe find a WR and another O-lineman. I know some of you love Penn St. EDGE Dani Dennis-Sutton. Maybe we take him. Maybe he would help you guys recover from us not taking Caleb Downs. I know you guys liked him, I respect that, but how did he all of a sudden become a Hall of Famer? I’ll wait for your responses later!
What do you guys think we do in RD 2? Move up? Move back? What position do we target in RD 2? Then what do you think we do in RD 3? Let me know, I want to hear . . .
GO DOLPHINS!!!

Ah, shit. I keep forgetting that my guy CB Hez Masses is still out there for the taking!
GET HIM, PHINS!!!
Great value at this point imo.
I think, but don’t quote me, I think we might be done at drafting LB, LB/S hybrid, and Safety. Don’t hold me to it though.
Yea, hopefully OL, DL, and CB are still possible targets.
Masses, Bentley, Curry, Nowakowski, and Taylon Green are still available. I drafted all of them in my final and official (without a simulator) mock draft.
But as of right now, I want more on the O-Line and D-Line.
So we grabbed a couple of Texas players today and a couple of Texas Tech players yesterday. I guess Sully likes his Texas players LOL
Zach Thomas told JES he was going to kick his ass if he didn’t.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/new-dolphins-edge-trey-moore-makes-a-lot-of-sense-for-miami/ar-AA21Il0i
Do you take Payton or Green here (they did say they were going to draft a QB this year) or do you take the best OL
or pick whatever fucking unknown crazy donkey riding prize that is behind door number 3?
A lot of the DBs that we’re drafting are going to compete with many of the guys we already have on the team for some hybrid roles. It’s all about matchups and football IQ. I’m trying to remember where I saw a breakdown of what Hafley did in Green Bay. We have a lot of DBs on the roster – currently 20, it’s going to be really competitive because nobody has earned anything yet.
The 6’9 TE Tanner Koziol is going to be a good target for Lawrence.
I don’t think they are going to take Nowakowski,
I have mocked him to us more than any other player and that big ass TE they took plays FB too.
Nicholas Singleton to the Titans, Brian.
Rock, I take the better passer of the 2, so Payton.
Though, I think they draft the Malik Willis clone in Jalon Daniels
Of course Nussmeier is still there
They like the player enough, but they like taller big armed mobile guys who can shake and bake or zip one across his body across the field on a rope better.
That’s Payton
If I’m calling the next pick I’m taking Gulbin at 180
Next pick is 177
LOL I’m on the PFSN mock simulator live fucking around and the current pick is 177 for me but it says “next pick 180”
Either way, I stand buy my statement. LOL
We currently have 12 OL on the roster. I guess we valued other positions after taking only one in 1st round so far.
That’s not following BPA.
^^^
For who? The actual draft is so much different than the mocks you guys do and it happens every year.
Jonah and Sawlyer were 2 of the worst OG’s in the league last year and they round out the top 6 of our OL right now.
There are 90 spots to fill
Bills take Jason Kilgore. No sir, I don’t like it. He’s a good S.
That really sucks
Autocorrect, SMH. JALON Kilgore.
Ill take Brian Parker at 177 and Gulbin at 180
Tongue sticking out emoji
Stealers* select RILEY NOWAKOWSKI! That’s SO STEALERS*!
I wish we could draft like the Stealers* do.
Fucking Steelers
Steelers
damn them
I was mad the Steelers got RT Iheanachor, OG Gennings Dunker, and Hines Ward clone Germie Bernard. Now they get Nowakoski. Not to mention a secret weapon in Wetgen.
Right? They know how to draft. I honestly envy them. They are going to be able to run down ANYBODY’s throat… and they have TE Washington as well.
Just watch the Stealers* end up drafting Kaytron Allen, to boot.
C Brewer
LT Paul
RT Jackson
OG Proctor, Savaiinaea, Salyer and others will compete for the guard spots. That’s where it’s at for now.
and when two of those guys are slowed by leg injuries in the first three weeks? or more likely training camp / pre-season?
That’s the case for every team. I’m looking at our roster as we draft and pointing out where we are at. Not saying good or bad but how it’s being constructed heading to 90.
Based on the numbers I could see us adding a C/G if there is one. Maybe IDL, TE, RB or another G/T. Maybe even a QB.
Parker and Gulbin are both on the board. They are both Centers who have had multiple snaps at gaurd after being converted from Tackle in college. 5 position guys.
Patriots drafted a Karen so I feel a little better. Karon is close enough.
😆
They went to commercial way too early, our pick is not for 5 minutes.
Hey Josh Cuevas good TE taken in the 5th……
Mel’s best on the boad
Parker II
FUCK! There goes my guy Masses to the Raiders. 😡
I think we take LB Harold Perkins. lol
This commercial shit is unreal
this little piggy told you guys they would draft a LB…
You obviously outdid your prediction
took a lot more 6’1 Linebackers than I thought we would have so far.
Shut up Mel who is the Dolphins pick
We select… Kevin Coleman Jr., WR, Misery.
Another slot-WR. Great.
????
Another fucking WR
So we traded into the 6th and I believe we gave up a 7th to Carolina along with swapping 5th round picks.
180 200 238
slot WR
He actually has some good traits but he sucks because he’s not a fav. 😂
another 61 qb
sigh
??
I thought they had taken Nussmeier
they are just ignoring our pick and talking about him
SHUT THE FUCK UP AND TALK ABOUT THE DRAFT
Sully and Hafley suck, I’m sorry. Not true to their word.
I can’t help but concur with ya, Brother.
Slot-only wideout who could use a defined role and continuity after playing for four different schools in four years. Coleman has the speed to create opportunities on slot fades and skinny posts downfield. His route running has room for improvement, but it’s average for a draftable prospect. While he lacks ideal size, he has adequate hands and toughness in traffic. His ability to handle utility plays and return punts will add a dimension to his game, provided he becomes a more well-rounded target from the slot.
they draft like its there first time
As in they have no fucking clue how to build a team
Eagles select Cole Payton.
He actually has some good traits but he sucks because he’s not a fav.
——————-
Tim, get real. Did we really need to draft 3 fucking WR’s
talking heads are crowing about the slow WR LOL
Big picture
LMAO
Enjoy guys. I enjoy the draft not “The View” that hates everything. Go Phins!!!
After that reference I will just leave it with a polite FUCK YOU!
Another fucking commercial break
We select… another commercial break! LOL
Tim Knight

15 years ago, I would have spazzed the fuck out by now. I’ve become patient with age.
THAT STATED, I’m not sure we’re even hitting singles, much less doubles.
Pick is in let’s go to commercial
OMFG LOL
We select… Seymour Traore, TE, Mississippi State.
SEYDOU
he is an international path player and gives us n extra practice squad slot
lol at overall rank 333
I am sure Tim is happy with that pick also. It’s all a part of the big picture. LMAO!
Tim, I just know the next time I see you mention BPA, I am going to call you a fucking hypocrite.
the Conch blowing picks have never worked out … 🤷♂️🤷🏻
Zane Durant to the Bills, Brian.
Sully is the laughing stock of the NFL right now.
what type of Fins draft was this?
A) BPA
B) BPA at position of need
C) setup board, throw dart at board, caveman style
D- just sucks
There goes Taylen Green to the Brownies. FUCK! 😡
he reminds me of Jameis Winston in Tampa the year before Brady got there throwing for 9000 yards 40 tds and 40 ints
you can’t play wild west football in the NFL
DEFINITELY developmental, to be sure. I thought we might take him, being he’s much like Malik Willis.
Much like Willis in that he’s tall, he can run, and he does possess a gun. It was the idea of drafting a QB every year.
Well, I was kind of liking day 3, but the last 2 picks brought me back down to earth.
The last 2 picks made less sense than Douglas at 75. Just stupid.
I need us to draft Caden Curry, EDGE, Ohio State, just to hit once on my bingo card this year. If not, I’ll still call it a win if we land him as an UDFA.
Build the trenches???? Basically, 1 true trench guy in this draft so far??????
Yessir, it’s been a joke.
“I’m just going to trust Sully and Haf. They’ve earned at least that much”
Read before this draft started.
LOL! I recanted that shortly thereafter, man. Agreed that they hadn’t EARNED anything and I had misspoken.
Anyone feel like catching me up? Missed the whole thing today because of work
NOTHING to see here, Mike E. You’d be better off just drinking.
Come to a conclusion Tim’s a hypocrite. That’s about all you missed.
Well, I hope this is a case of you guys thinking you’re better than you are (like all talking heads do) and you love the smell of your own farts.
I admittedly have no clue, so I can only go by what I hear and see ya’ll saying and hope the results prove you all wrong. Time will tell. I did want to build from the inside out, and I sure didn’t see that in this draft.
LMAO!
I know some of you put a lot of work into evaluating this stuff, so I don’t blame you for having strong opinions
It’s not about that, whatsoever. The picks just don’t make ANY kind of sense. We’re CLEARLY not going BPA, we’re trying to rebuild one of the strongest LB rooms in the NFL, we aren’t building from the inside-out, and Sully seems to be taking the “I’m smarter than anybody else” approach of drafting obscure players when absolute STUDS were on the board.
It’s batshit crazy, my dude.
I WILL agree: we have to wait and see what happens. But on its face, it doesn’t look very good… and I’m putting that very lightly.
We didn’t need to draft 3 LBs! We didn’t need to draft more slot WRs! We didn’t need to address TE THAT early on a guy who is 1-dimensional, etc.
They don’t make any sense to you, so you pan them because you think you know better (you being all you guys).
You put in a some work so you feel it gives you the place to trash it. But maybe they are smarter than you in this regard and they know something you don’t and/or you’re wrong.
I’m not all sunshine here, lol, but they don’t have a track record yet so until I see results I’ll wait and see.
And like I said, I don’t get it either. 5 picks on WRs and TEs? wtf? But I’m holding out hope, not ready to burn it all down yet, lmao
MikeE, you haven’t missed a damn thing. We drafted 2 more ILB’s, added a 3rd WR to this draft class we didn’t need and a second TE we didn’t need who would have went undrafted. We did get a good cover safety though.
Oh, and we have not added anyone else to the trenches since our very 1st pick.
Kaytron Allen to the Redskins, Brian.
Jack Kelly to the Giants
I’m not going to catch the lat couple of picks bc I have a friends birthday dinner to attend to
but I’m leaving thinking we didn’t do a great job of addressing OL and don’t expect much of a pass rush next year
we will see if that happens
For me Kyle Louis is a really interesting pick if he plays some other role other than traditional off ball LB. I settled into the idea that he wouldn’t really fit our team so I wasn’t considering him, but he’s a playmaking type of defensive player.
if Rodriguez can play close to the level he did last year at Texas tech, we have. Foundational piece of our defense
and I have no questions about Cris Johnson at all – so maybe that trio can be strong pieces on defense. And maybe Taffe is a solid player I just don’t know a lot about
the thing that’s interesting are the two TEs and 3 WRs. If those guys are getting a lot of playing time by November – I think we look back at this draft more positively.
Everyone we draft has a shot to make an impact as rookies. We are uniquely situated in 2026 to give our rookies a shot to make an impression. So it’s possible that all those weapons we picked up in day 2 and 3 are the names we are hearing every Sunday
they obviously wanted to make sure Malik Willis had weapons now
Watching NFLN and Charles Davis just praised Sully for the way he’s rebuilding the Dolphins. You think he’s a shill?
I’d rather have YOUR opinion, Mike E.
Charles Davis is national, so he really doesn’t know the Dolphins like we do.
Catching up, Brian Parker to the Bengals.
It’s like they overload and grab a bunch at a specific position like throwing a bunch of shit at the wall to see what sticks.
Agreed. None of it makes sense, and we as fans aren’t being sold their vision. That makes it that much more unpalatable.
What we WERE sold? BPA.
I’m getting tired of seeing this “Round Up” commercial, with that cocky asshole who has a very punchable face. We don’t play like that up here in PA.
What’s more, “Round Up” is poisoning our planet. Fuck them.
We select… DJ Campbell, G, Texas.
RG, great ZBS fit, not too bad.
OL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
M – My opinion is I really don’t know. I see that we took a bunch of guys who weren’t highly regarded, or at the very least, weren’t rated where we took them. I think I explained already what I believe they are trying to accomplish. They want to have a bunch of “team first” guys that are selfless will play hard for their teammates and coaches. They’re totally trying to change the culture here, which as you know was fucking poisonous with the fuckers we had here previously. Soft, guys who disappear when needed most. Vacuum that infected pus out of here, which was already done. Now fill the roster with guys that are thankful to be here and want to play for the Miami Dolphins and will run through a wall for Hafley. Will these guys be the best? Probably not, but I swear on a stack of bibles, I’d rather have Caleb Douglas than Makai Lemon. Did you see that kid? WTF! He’s what I despise about some players. We weren’t going to build the roster in one draft, but I do think they may have changed the culture in one. You have to start somewhere, and my guess is they found the type of player that will be happy to be here and get to work.
Your thoughts on this?
I’ll have to get back to you on this, man. I’m still tracking in realtime.
I like your thinking Mike E 👍
Thanks Doggy! I hope I’m right or it’s gonna be miserable around here, it really will. I hate to hear us hating on the new guys because I want so badly for them to succeed. I don’t want another wash/rinse/repeat/ cycle. I want a decade of success dammit!
OL OMG what a concept
Right? YUP!
Oh yeah, Dallen Bentley is still on my bingo card, along with Caden Curry.
Finally an OL.
Career RG in college.
Quick observation – Do you think we have a lot of southern scouts working for us? How many Texas players have we taken?
Good observation, but the way I heard it, we kept the same scouting department even after General Grief was fired.
Perhaps Sully likes our Southern scout better than others?
DJ Campbell taken in the 6th round is probably already better than Jonah, so there’s that.
I think I agree with that!
I mean, at least as a rook. We’ll see if Big Jonah has grown with a year under his belt.
LOL! Can’t argue with you on that
Why do I feel relieved that we only have one more pick???
You’re not alone.
M – We have FIVE players from Texas in this draft
I know!
And being we drafted an obscure WR from Texas Tech, I made the joke yesterday that maybe Wes Welker is still our WR coach!
M – Where did you see that Sully retained the scouting department? I’d like to read about that
I posted it here a couple of months ago, don’t recall who it came from, nor could I verify as much. May have been a rumor, maybe not. We’re going to have to dig for the truth.
IF it’s true, I find that to be concerning.
You do realize I’m not in the biz of peddling BS rumors. I want to know the truth as well.
What I CAN tell ya from what I’d read? A couple of our scouting department figures were moved into different positions within the organization. Meaning, they didn’t leave.
BBMike – What do you think about my post at 4:46PM?
MikeE.,
Makai Lemon. Did you see that kid? WTF! He’s what I despise about some players.
———-
Yeah, seemed like the type who will be asking for a new contract in 2 years.
Again, it’s not about the players, it’s the where we took them and then even overloading at 2 positions and neglecting others.
—————–
Now fill the roster with guys that are thankful to be here and want to play for the Miami Dolphins and will run through a wall for Hafley.
——————–
100%, but lets do it at multiple positions. Not overload positions where you will have to cut players you just drafted because you can only keep so many.
For instance, we signed 2 free agent WR’s to 100% fully guaranteed contracts. You don’t want to cut them and have anymore dead cap. You just drafted 3 more WR’s. You shouldn’t want to cut them. That makes 5 WR’s on the roster. How many do you keep that were already on the roster?
It makes no sense.
You already know how I feel about WRs, so nothing more to say about that.
Maybe they IR Chris Bell, but still.
Gulbin gone
Beer!
Well, this has been an education. All these years and I did not know that the “right way” to build a team was to draft a bunch of receivers and small guys. Mind blown.
Time for some hockey!
Baseball, Go Big Red Machine!
Matt Gulbin to the Redskins.
Curry to Colts
FUCK!!! 😡
BBM,
Follow me on this, Bro… as it has nothing to do with you…
I said it after day 1 of the Draft: Proctor seems to be the future replacement for Austin Jackson, so we may as well get his feet wet as far as ‘muscle memory’ started on the right side of the line. Until then, he’s a prototypical road-grading RG. It only makes sense to begin him on the right side.
Now… we took a natty right-side, road-grating cat in Big Jonah last draft and foolishly put him on the left-side last season: we saw the results. And today, we took another natty right-sider in RG DJ Campbell.
I’m just not seeing the vision from Sully and company, and I hope ya agree. I guess we’d better hope Big Jonah can man our LG position well this season… can’t BELIEVE we didn’t draft a LG!
Know what I’m sayin’?!!
I was thinking about that. Maybe you put Proctor in at LG and Campbell can win the RG spot. Then if Jackson can’t stay healthy you got Salyer, Charlie Heck or Carter Warren who could step up to play RT.
BBM,
Playoff hockey might be my favorite sports viewing. I love it. Our series has been good. God created TV clickers for a reason. Lol
lol
Anybody here know what a ‘C.R.E.’ is?
C.R.E. is an acronym for ‘Common Rookie Error’.
Sully has fallen into the C.R.E. trap as a first-time GM.
I’ve never bought a jersey before, but I’m definitely getting a Thumbstache one now.
BBM my thoughts exactly
Now fill the roster with guys that are thankful to be here and want to play for the Miami Dolphins and will run through a wall for Hafley.
——————–
100%, but lets do it at multiple positions. Not overload positions where you will have to cut players you just drafted because you can only keep so many.
your other comment about Chris Bell going to IR crossed my mind as well, so let’s say 2 new WRs to start the season
for Hafley its all about competition, maybe he doesn’t want to give any of our current WRs to feel like its a free ride
Game still hasn’t started.
I’m not happy with how the draft played out but when the draft is over ya move forward with the guys ya got and hope for the best. We drafted some interesting players. I’m more curious now to see what sort of guys they target in UDFA.
All we can do
TE is another headscratcher taking 2
the 2nd one is more of a complete TE, if that matters
I can see the vision for a few of our draftees, but when you have 11/13s of them that you have to explain for thats a problem
after the draft I usually check the tape on all of them, not sure I care after this draft, tomorrow may be different and Ryder helps, he’ll have a video for each
Yeah, I only posted his one on Rodriguez this morning.
I was going to posts Crabbs video on day 2 from this morning appropriately titled “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” or something like that but ran out of time. lol
His video tomorrow will probably be titled “The Good, The Bad, The More Bad, The Ugly, The Uglier and The Worst”
Steelers add 2 interesting players to their offense in Wetgen and Heidenreich.
