Oh the misery of Intergalactic Agent who travelled light years to watch the great running backs of the NFL. Once upon a time my body had three beating hearts, now its hollow. Why the sorrow? Because there are no great running backs in the NFL anymore. That era is over in favor of pass happy offenses. This depressing fact dawned on me in week 1 of the NFL after my fantasy draft. Guess who I drafted? Adrian Peterson in the 1st round and Ray Rice in the 2nd round. Oops…
Where is my Barry Sanders? Where is my Walter Payton? Where is my Jim Brown. The NFL tells me it will never happen again. causing the tears of this alien to fill the oceans of Neptune. But then there was light! His name is Todd Gurley.
What can’t Todd Gurley do? He can carry the ball, he can catch it, he can block and he can return kicks. He uses speed and power. He is the best athlete on the field every time he steps on the field at any level. The reason I came to this planet suddenly had life again. Is Todd Gurley the next great running back? Then in November, this cruel planet tore all my dreams away from me. I laid in bed until December.
But Todd Gurley will play in the NFL. This alien will go on! Gurley’s potential at the next level is too much for the NFL to pass up. Some athletes can return from ACL injuries to participate in sports specific drills within five months. In December Gurley declared for the NFL draft. In January he signed an agent. He is ready. Are you NFL?
Todd Gurley is a 232 pound former track star who uses power and cuts to make plays. He is a great fit for a zone blocking scheme like the scheme the Dolphins run. Gurley can make one cut, and overpower the first off balance defender he sees. Get off me, I’m Todd Gurley and you are a lower life form!!!
In six games for Georgia in 2014, Gurley rushed for 911 yards with an impressive 7.4 yards per carry. In three seasons running for the Bulldogs he had over 3200 yards and averaged over 6 yards a carry. He had 6 receiving TDs and two kickoff returns! What is going on here? Is Gurley and Earthling? I say no. But let’s keep it a secret.
If Todd Gurley were an Alien Weapon of Destruction he would be a lethal Ooliopii Boomerang. But Why am I still talking about Gurley. If you missed him at Georgia, don’t worry the Boomerang is going to come back. Turn around so you don’t get hit in the back of the head Earthling!

To your question “what can’t Todd Gurley do?”
Answer: Stay healthy😆
Good article kid is the ultimate weapon when healthy and on the field.
Speed wise Gurley plays like Ronnie Brown. Very explosive within the first 40yds, but quickly gears down after that. Your big backs like him aren’t going to continue to build up speed past 40.
Overall, I love Gurley’s on field ability, but I don’t trust his injury history. I really do hope for the best for him because everything I’ve heard about him points to a quality person & very hard worker.
HERDFAN—-What do you think of Hassan Whiteside Center of the Miami Heat-you know he’s from Marshall. He earned my respect last night.

Terrific effort, PIGGY!! –But I’ve got to agree with DBOLT; the health issue scares me. Besides, RB is NOT one of Miami’s top 4 needs, so using our R1P14 on Gurley is difficult to justify when you’ve already got a proven back in Lamar Miller. With a decent O-Line, Miller gets MORE than the 1100 yards he got last season AND Tannehill has a better season, too. O-Line and D-Line improvements outweigh my desire to take a chance on the Gurley man. HOWEVER, in the extremely unlikely event Gurley slips to us in Round 2, I’d be sorely tempted to take him.
————-
LOOKS like we’ve slapped the transition tag on good ole Mr. Clay. –Playmakers like him are hard to find. I’m thrilled that, apparently. we’ve found a way to keep him.

TOMORROW, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION focuses on what would, for ANY other team, be a catastrophic loss, —the loss of am All-Pro quarterback (Bob Griese). However, this team was SO OUTSTANDING!! –They could actually afford to lose a Hall-of-Fame Quarterback and STILL RUN THE TABLE!! –The Old Dolfan puts YOU on the 50 yard line in the historic Orange Bowl as the Dolphins begin MISSION IMPOSSIBLE IN EARNEST. Specifically, completing the NFL’s one and only PERFECT SEASON with a 39 year old back-up quarterback starting 11 games!!

Hey, good song not my usual genre but I can appreciate stuff. She does some great back up singing for Peter Gabriel on a tour he did in the late 90’s. The song “Don’t Give Up” video live the song is from the “So” album
She looks like she’s constpated 24/7, sounds it too, and she has more armpit hair than all men on here combined. But to each their own as everyone hear’s things differently.
@ProFootballTalk: PFT has learned, via a league source, that Brian Hartline will visit Browns on Tuesday
Maybe they’ll bring back Bess too for a re-union
LOL….if Bess is clean he won’t sign that contract knowing his QB options.
Check it out:
Nope….Sorry man I just don’t like either of them. I’d rather listen to the sounds of the janitorial laundry truck going in reverse at 4am on my former college campus than that..LOL
Thanks for the “to each his own” comment Dbolt my self esteem feels so much better now with your somewhat approval. I can continue my day now, thanks.
LOL. If it makes you feel any better I can’t listen to a majority of today’s music on the radio. Just not a huge fan of Peter & just never liked her sound at all. I just found her songs and music to be overly whinny…..I listen to the lyrics and I just picture a wife complaining non-stop in a high pitch.
Its cool man I really didn’t post it to advocate for her so much I simply thought of the lyric while reading the Piggs piece. Wasn’t looking to sell her or defend her.

Nice job Sir Piggy! It would be kind of cool to get Gurley, but I don’t see it happening. We have too many damn needs, but it would definitely be exciting knowing wemight have one of the best RB’s in the NFL.
Gotta run I left the “Welcome Suh” banner up. Catch you guys later.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
We’ll see who gets here first, Suh, or Piggy. lol

Gurley might be a really good back but I can’t see spending a high pick on him coming off a knee injury. That and RB is not a pressing need.

Former Dolphins WR Brian Hartline is visiting the Browns today, as @ProFootballTalk reported. Hartline born in Canton and played at Ohio St.
———————————————————————–
Thats the landing spot i guessed he would wind up. Browns with their WR situation, needs a guy just like Hartline, unfortunately for us.
It’s not unfortunate. If we really wanted him, we wouldn’t have cut him in the first place. I want him here, but if he goes, it’s good for him. He’ll have a more prominent role in CLE.
I think He will be missed more than any of the other receivers other than Landry. Not that i dont agree with you and if they wanted him to stay it would have happened, but i still think he was the one vet i would have kept.
He wasn’t coming back no matter what Omar write. Once the organization declined a pay cut Rosenhause said Hartline would sign somewhere within the week. So he must’ve recieved some contract offers via the Colts & Brown’s at the combine. Those 2 teams were specified that “Brian” had interest in. It’s more like those are the 2 main teams that told Drew they had interest if he was released. I wouldn’t doubt Brian would love to play for the Browns. He really is all Ohio & it would probably really simplify his life.
I know this, it was more a statement of fact than saying he woulda returned. Once he left i was convinced he would not return, mostly because of the Browns and his connection to Ohio, so in full agreement, and full understanding that the cut left no room for a resign. Still i do feel he was the only guy of the vet receivers we had i really cared to keep. He was continuity and i think that is going to be missed. Landry must have them all convinced he can fill that role, now we just need some replacement weapons.
Agreed D.

Everyone who had went to college knows that sound. It’s worse than a snow plow hitting a pot hole at 2:30 in the morning.
Finally a mock I can live with:

Gurley sounds great, but am seriously doubting hot seat Joe agrees to using a high pick on a guy coming off knee surgery.
Andre Johnson wants off Texans–ESPN
Paying attention Mr. Hickey, trade partner ahoy. Tradee has motivation to renegotiate to get the fuck out.
How many weeks have we talked about this trade😆
Having their QBs throw to Wallace would be just desserts.
Funny thing Stanger is if Mallett is there Wallace might thrive in the big play department because that is what Mallett excelled at. Now timing patterns would be worse and he’d get run caged multiple times going over the middle.

What kind of draft compensation are you willing to give up for Andre Johnson?
Wallace
^^
You essentially swap contracts and send both guys “Home” with Wallace living in Houston & I’m pretty sure Johnson spends a good chunk of his offseason in Miami.
Gotcha on the Johnson/Albert trade.
Albert?
LOL, Johnson. You know, Albert or Andre. 🙄
That mock wasn’t bad. It would really surprise me if we went WR’s back to back, but If we do move Wallace, we probably will go 2 WR’s, but not necessarily 1st and 2nd RD.
Agreed, I don’t see back to back.
Really wouldn’t shock me at all if they went picks 1 & 2 at WR. I do think it’s a strong possibility that 2 of our first 3 go that way.
But that’s just saying they’d follow my line if thinking….LOL
Back to back at the top of the draft? Almost unheard of. I’d be shocked.
Arizona: Bryan Robinson PSU & Anquan Boldin😀
Pretty cool. These two girls are twins.

Dbolt and D. You’re putting too much stock into a FA visit. That’s thats exactly what Omar said he was released to do, explore his value on the open market.
I’m not 100% convinced of anything, but I do think a visit to both Ohio teams if interested was 100% going to happen. It’s all part of the process. I’m not big on I told you so, but I will take a little satisfaction when Brian comes back that once again:
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 14: DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville (A)
Round 2 Pick 15: Eric Kendricks, ILB/OLB, UCLA (A-)
Round 3 Pick 14: Phillip Dorsett, WR, Miami (Fla.) (B+)
Round 4 Pick 15: David Johnson, RB, Northern Iowa (A)
Round 5 Pick 14: Eric Rowe, CB/FS, Utah (B-)
Round 6 Pick 15: Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland (B-)
Round 7 Pick 15: Jarvis Harrison, OG, Texas A&M (D)
That looks pretty good but I’d go more OL than 3 WRs. There are only so many passes to go around and Landry and Clay are going to get a lot of them.
Essentially Diggs would rotate in for Dorsett for me in this draft, and he also would handle the return duties. OT’s id have to address in FA
Jahn, trust me i would like him to return, but you have to admit, once a guy is cut, and immediately starts investigating options, the likelihood he returns to his old team starts going down and at this point its more likely he signs elsewhere.
Not really. This is standard fare. Happens all the time. Did you actually read that article? I feel like I’m having this conversation with people who didn’t actually read it. Maybe it’s all made up, but I’ve never found Omar to be a liar, just more of an agenda pusher. If the stuff in that article is true, this was 100% by design to this point. If it wasn’t, he’s a colossal liar, because the article was full of very specific information.
Said in no uncertain terms in the article: Brian’s camp asked for the release so that he could explore his free agent value before signing a restructured contract for the dolphins. The dolphins are very high on Brian and Stephen Ross gave him a personal call right after the release.
I don’t know anything for a fact, but I’d be surprised if he didn’t visit Ohio I’d be shocked.
I’m repeating myself often today. Often today.

To your question “what can’t Todd Gurley do?”
Answer: Stay healthy😆
Good article kid is the ultimate weapon when healthy and on the field.
——-
Injuries happen but how a player responds is key and a pre-draft workout will be necessary to evaluate his progress right before the draft (i’m assuming a week or so before draft day if he’s able to do some routines). This is how McGahee was able to push himself into 1st RD status (well also a little salesmanship from his agent Drew Rosenhaus, who can sell cherry popsicles to a woman wearing white gloves lol)
Each player is different of course (Lattimore’s injury affected him greatly) but you also have success stories out there in terms of NFL careers.
Frank Gore suffered not 1 but two major knee injuries at the U of Miami and is now going down as perhaps the Niners all time rusher.
Adrian Peterson in college dislocated his shoulder his first season, suffered an ankle injury in his second season that kept him out 3-4 games, and in his 3rd and final season at Oklahoma he broke his collar bone and missed 5-6 games.
McGahee’s story is well documented (1 major nasty knee injury suffered in the national championship game) and he went on to have a successful NFL career.
Todd Gurley played in all 14 games of his freshman season.
2nd year (2013) he missed he had an ankle injury vs LSU in late September that kept him out the entire month of October.
He was suspended for 4 games last season and then suffered an ACL soon after coming back.
His rehab and late workouts will dictate his position in the draft.
As for him being an option for Miami early in the draft, well my personal opinion is that this franchise cannot afford to pin their hopes on his health considering how fractured the roster is elsewhere.

He kind of has Az-Zahir Hakim written all over him when he left STL to sign a big deal with DET.
I don’t know what the obsession over Cobb is
Guys like Cobb can be found annually in the 2nd and 3rd rounds
He is nowhere near elite
If he wee a draft prospect this year I would probably have a 3rd round grade on him…lol
Aaron Rogers is elite
Suh is elite
Iupati is elite

——————————————————————
Not as standard fare as a team cutting a guy to clear cap space and him signing elsewhere. Thats the more “common fare” if you go back and look at the frequency it happens and the number of times it turns out that the player re-signs with the team. Nothing about how this has went down so far looks to me like its headed that way. I mean ill take it if it happens, but i wouldn’t put hope into it. Omar may not blatantly lie in articles, but he does very frequently offer his opinion as fact, and i think this is another case of him guessing and not really having evidence to back it up.
I can’t continue unless you tell me you actually read it. “offer his opinion as fact” means the very specific things in that article are outright lies. Not buying it.
It is a fact he is a free agent. It is a fact that free agents generally make visits and talk contracts. It’s also a fact that every single year teams give their blessings to players they like to go out in the FA market and make visits and talk contract to establish their value, and every single year many of those players re-sign with their original team. Ryan Clark did it with Pittsburgh, Soliai did it with us a couple years ago. Only time will tell.
As for Brian Hartline coming back, I think that is not happening.
Why? I don’t know, the day he was cut he went on Twitter and started giving away his signed Dolphins stuff. :/.
He’s done that for a couple years. Maybe it means something more nefarious in this context though…I don’t know.
Got to wait and see what happens with Johnson
He’s due 10m next year
Ouch
But texans will cut him if there are no takers in a trade
And there probably won’t be
If texans cut him
And we cut Wallace
And we sign Johnson on a short deal for say 3m or less
I wonder what our cap savings will be for that swap?
I don’t think you. Can save cap room by just trading players
Can you really get Johnson for three mil? I know he’s on the downswing, but……. Maybe if you are talking multi-year with a backend that pushes much of the cap hit down the road.
Jahn
That’s from Dana Carvey’s The Master of Disguise. The movie was pretty awful, but it was also a little silly-funny
As a movie it was bad, but plenty of laughs.
Yep, that’s what I would say. There were definitely some funny parts, but the movie as a whole was weak.
Gotcha. Thanks. Never even heard of it actually. Weird.
I would bring Hartline back for cheap dollars
Especially if we cut Wallace
But I think some one will be willing to pay him more
I would bet with certainty if Andre Johnson is cut the Jets sign him ASAP

Real saffron, is highly expensive, though a little goes a LONG way with that spice. Saffron is the most expensive food item you can buy, costs in the range of 5-10k a pound.
Is that more expensive than coke or heroin?
Not even close. But I don’t think those are “food items” either.
But you can still buy it in the US
I know it’s expensive
I’ve bought it before
And a little bit goes a long way too
So it’s not as pricey as it may seem
Since you only need to use so much before it takes over the dish
If you made paella everyday and you bought a lot of saffron, you wouldn’t wince at the price – bc you don’t need a lot
But who cooks with saffron everyday?
I can only take so much of that flavor
Just me?
LOL @ Jahn and Stanger
That’s Dana Carvey from The Master of Disguise. Turtle, turtle.
I wouldn’t mind Hartline back either Piggy but players in the NFL actually want to play and be starters :P. I think Hartline can be a starter somewhere and I don’t think he really likes his role in the Fins offense which limits his touches.
He’d be a starter right here in Miami. He has been his whole career. Of course I’m making the assumption that They’re going to let Wallace go.
D
5-10 THOUSAND per pound? Are you sure?
I think that is a bit high
But a Pound of saffron would probably fill a suitcase
I don’t know about 5-10 k per pound. We paid around 150 US dollars for 2 OZ. from Spain and It was 9002 certified. Maybe in the states authentic saffron from iran or spain could cost that much. All I know it changes the mood and the aroma is unbeatable
D,
I’m pretty sure Truffles are more expensive 🙂

still price per lb is price per lb if your a smuggler. Your post was in regards to why people would smuggle Saffron, my point is because there is big money in it.
Okay
I see
You smuggled a bunch in and you sell it
Looked up Andre Johnson’s contract. They are pretty much in the same position as we are with Wallace. His base salary is $10.5 mil this year, but they have $7 plus mil in dead money on him.
So it would be that ten mil on our cap with him plus the hit from cutting Wallace to do the trade, but my guess is it doesn’t happen unless he restructures.
You can get truffles in the us too
You can even order truffles and saffron delivered to you
Most truffle oil used today in restaurants is not real truffle oil (synthetic) 😦
Again it depends on if your talkign the high end (real deal) shit or another variety. White truffels are only harvested in certain regions and are non-domestic. They are very hard to predict where you will find them and it take highly trained animals to root them out (no pun intended). Saffron on the other hand is the stamen of a very difficult to grow flower that blooms 1 times a year and it takes over 150 of these flower to yield 1 gram of saffron. Supply and deman in both these items is why ya have such high prices.
Jahn,
In regards to Omar I consider him agenda driven, but I DO consider him a liar.
I may be opening a can of worms with this, because defending Omar is not something I really wish to engage in, but I did find that article 100% believable, so….do you have an example of him blatantly lying and did you read the article on Hartline? (need to make sure where people’s level of information is on this before I spend much more energy on it. If folks skipped the article because it was Omar, than we can’t talk about it)
I’ve bought saffron and paella stuff from this website before

they have good recipes on its website, thanks
If you like Spanish food it’s a great website
Does this ever sound like Maui Wowie
————————————
Saffron, the most expensive spice, is usually sold by the gram – just a small cluster of slender red threads in a tiny glass bottle. At the Spice House in Chicago, owners Tom and Patty Erd sell a gram of superior grade saffron for $6.79, and an even finer version, known as coupé grade, for $8.29.
The gram and glass vial sound more like coke actually, not that I would know anything about that . . . .

I don’t think the jests offer much of an appeal to Johnson
Who is gonna get him the ball
They can offer him $ buy that’s it
Either he goes to a contender or he comes home to so fla at this stage in his career
Or he stays in Houston with the club he started with
But I doubt he expects to go to a team like the jests
And I don’t think the jests will throw big $ at him anyway
Right, but $$$$ is what almost ALWAYS gets the player. I don’t see this case being any different, especially at almost 34 years old. He’ll chase the $$$ while he still can.
He’s made big $
I don’t think you chase big $ at 34
I think the end of your career is about extending your retirement
Where can you go to make you sought after after you retire from the NFL?
How
So I get more post retirement job offers?
1 go to a contender
2 stay with my team
3 go home to Miami
Maybe he can make enough $ elsewhere
But I don’t think people will throw big $ at him at 34
Even the jests

I don’t think Omar has an agenda
I think he believes what he says
And sometimes is a bit too eager to be a contrarian
Sometimes he is just wrong
And it’s that simple
Forgive me if I don’t find that helpful in the conversation about Brian Hartline and the article he wrote on the topic.
I don’t like Omar, and was one of the very first people to openly challenge his status as a deity that so many SS posters had bestowed up him. But he quotes a dolphin source with some very very specific information, so there’s only two options there, he made it up (ie..it’s a LIE) or it’s true.
As far as who is the real Omar..different discussion, and I don’t like him at all.
I didn’t read he Hartline post
I don’t care about it
Without reading it I’m going to say it’s probably worthless
What did he say?

I dont think with Johnson it will be JUST about the money, i agree with Piggy, i dont think he goes to a team like the Jets, and i think he would restructure or settle on a lesser contract for one of two things, his preference and title contention. I also think its good to point out a lot of people dont have the down in the dumps view of our team that some of you guys do, and a few players might actually see Miami as having a shot at playoffs.
Agreed with both you and Piggy. I don’t see the Jets as a player for a guy like him. He might be my favorite wideout in the NFL (Anquan Boldin rivals him), but he’s 34 and his play dropped off a cliff last season. I’m not sure if there’s room for that here unless it’s an affordable contract and he agrees to mentor a couple young guys that we intend to draft.

LOL, it’s fuckin crazy what we discuss here. What’s next dingleberry dust?
————————————
Dingleberry dust has a high supply, low demand, im betting very cheap by the lb, and fear the person who can supply you in lbs.
Don’t hate the player dingleberrydust dealer, hate the game.

See that Mike
3 of us think you are a wrong about Andre Johnson
(Piggy farts in your direction)
I’ve been on fla for a week
But I bet our neck of the woods has been chirping a lot about Johnson and that’s what have you that idea
But is that anything knew with jests fans, their media, and their fans?
Speaking of dingleberrydust dealers.
I recommend dingleberry dust on your pizza

Alton Brown is high in the Oinkining hit list

Guest: Ehhmmmm… what is this spice on the rice?

Host: That’s my Aunt Martha’s dingleberry dust.
Guest: (choke… cough) Excuse me?!!!
Host: My Aunt Martha, she’s in a home, but when I go to visit her, I can usually pick up a few.
Guest:

Soon we’ll find out who’s right. You guys may well be right, but I think the Jets need receivers, and they would probably love to have Andre Johnson, and they have the money to pay him too.
Jahn,
Sorry about the delay… Driving back to work. Yes I have read the article & yes I still believe Omar is full of shit. He’s doing the Omar source thing to try to make him seem to know more than other reporters in SoFla. What has been reported is Hartline was cut & Drew knew well before hand that was Miami’s plan. It’s also been reported that Miami turned down the idea of a restructured contract. Now here’s where it becomes opinions based, Drew said Brian could end up coming back with the Miami Dolphins, but would like to play closer to home specifying the Colts & Brown’s. That is it, but Omar’s “source” makes it out that the plan is for Brian to go get a contract value and comeback to them. They would’ve already gotten this at the combine.
Well what you’re talking about it technically tampering since Brian was very much under contract during the Combine. But I can’t argue the point too much. As I’ve said, I’m leary of defending Omar too much.
I think he’s coming back. Maybe the optimist in me, but I expect it to go down this way IF what Omar said was true.
I think its the fan of the player in you, and i dont blame ya for it. He was a guy i wanted to keep.
Its still kinda early but im really looking forward to hearing who we bring for facility visits. This is the time of the year the information comes in kinda slow but the anxiety is high.
Ian Wharton saying he sees McKinney more as SAM, but that he has good coverage skills. I know he had some reports previously his coverage skills were not great, but in the film study i have done they seem good to me as well. I disagree McKinney cant play Mike, but i guess in some ways i do agree he would need to be coached up at the spot and might be more natural on the outside in a 4-3.
I think you guys who say AJ wouldn’t go to the Jets also have to consider the Jets are likely to draft a QB, either Winston or Mariota, or maybe Hundley, anmd that might interest AJ.
I think it would be more interesting than Geno, but still most 34 year old receivers arent going to want to break in a rookie.
Kendricks talk is really picking up from several different team sources on twitter. He is probably going to jump to top LB prospect.
Yeah there has been a buzz about him since the combine.

(Googles the name) RT @knoxbardeen: Corey Grant just ran a blazing fast 40 at Auburn’s Pro Day. Checked w/ 3 scouts: 4.19, 4.24, 4.27.
Seems implausible that he would run a best of 4.44 at combine and so soon after run 4.19 thats kinda crazy difference.
@D_Sims80: Thought I’d share a piece of the grind with yall 🏈🚚🚚 commin thru https://t.co/AscX9LpgxA
Kinda neat i think, and something we probably overlook that its a all year things for them, at least for the guys that take their profession seriously.
Sims is developing nicely. Would like to see Lynch do the same.
Fast guy:

I like IPA’s.
I like Heffeweisens
@AdamHBeasley: Tannehill on Wallace: “We cleared the air. There’s no problem there.”
Sorry there was some air to clear there actually. Let Philbin put out that tweet.
I know he is supposed to say that
But I beleive him
Unless there is a suitor that will give us a day 2 draft pick for Wallace, just keep him
And don’t hesitate to bench him or move him down the depth chart
We can do fine with a WR core of Landry, Wallace rookie like Strong and another rook in the 4th or 5th round
Let’s go fix the OL in free agency and then focus on D and WR in the draft
I think we can be a good team next year of we make the right moves now
Oh thats Corey Grant thier RB. I was thinking Doran Grant the CB.
I knew Grant was fast, but i dont think i woulda thought anywhere near that.
This is cute and awesome.

Andre Johnson ain’t coming here. He wants to win a championship…stop getting yourselves all worked up. He’ll play on a smaller contract for a shot at a ring.
Cobb is gonna get PAID. Probably not the $12M he wants but probably $10-11M. He ain’t coming here.
Shelton is a 3/4 NT. He is not gonna be a passrusher in the NFL. He’s not an Aaron Donald. He ain’t coming here. Plus, look at how this front office has gone about building their DL. They are going smaller and quicker…not bigger and slower.
And, by the way, our run defense was just as ineffective while Soliai was here his last year as it was this past season…losing him wasn’t why our run defense went downhill. JAHN…you listening?
Hartline knows the team is phasing him out…they already did it last season. Why would he want to play for a team that has already shown him he won’t get targeted? Another team will pay him more and actually throw him the ball. He ain’t coming back here.
McKinney is not a first round talent. He gets a lot of assists but isn’t a guy who makes a lot of plays on his own. He looks slow and reactive instead of a guy who diagnoses a play and gets there first. He’s a less athletic Misi. He ain’t coming here.
I think we focus on OL and possibly free safety in FA. There really aren’t any really good free safeties in the draft and after the top 2 or 3 OL in this draft, the next 10-15 are the same guy. If they want a plug and play guy, it’ll probably come thru FA.
There, now you all been informed and know what’s gonna happen…and you can’t say you didn’t know. DROP THE MIC!
LMAO. Randy flipped on his Omar switch😝
The only exception was not offering a hand job to David Garrard. That’s how we know it’s Randy.
LOL man, you didnt have your prune juice this morning did ya old man….shit be backin up on ya and got ya cranky started.
Andree Johnson likes Miami
He will be back once he retires anyway
If he signed here
And them retired within a year
He would get endorsements after retirement and probably a radio show too…lol
It’s a good situation for him
I beleive of he gets a decent offer from a contender or to stay in Houston that is where he goes
But don’t rule out Miami Randy for Johnson
I agree on Cobb
I think you are flat out wrong about Shelton
He will be fine in ether a 3-4 or a 4-3
I bet he is drafted by the bears who play a 4-3 so we will see
Our run defense was worse this year
Was that bc of Soliai?
I don’t know
But I bet we would be much better with a run stuffing DT
Tim,
If you are assuming Sims will end up being a so-so blocker and catch 40 passes a season with 3 or 4 tds…then yeah…he’s developing nicely. God help us if Lynch is developing along the same path.
He’s getting better, man. I don’t like dog piss in my corn flakes. LOL
Hits keep coming! lol
Dbolt,
I could actually feel Omar’s balls whizzing by me as I typed that post. Lol
LOL
Pretty cool — the weasel went after a woodpecker and didn’t know what he was in for.

He shortly after dropped off into some grass and scurried away.
The weasel was actually trying to eat the woodpecker.
He was giving it his best shot. Best laid plans of mice and weasels.
Randy, too bad you missed yesterday. I got to mention Pennington a few times. lol
I wonder what Randy thinks about saffron, truffles or dingleberry dust?
Oh Nooo, it’s Randy….quick hide your Tanny Fathead’s.
Have fun Rex…LMAO
Speaking on NFL Network, free agent C.J. Spiller says E.J. Manuel is too “buddy-buddy” with his teammates and needs to be more assertive.
Spiller noted the stark contrast between Manuel’s easygoing approach and the style of veteran Kyle Orton, “who demands what he wants out of us.” Buffalo struggled with Manuel under center and nearly made the playoffs with Orton, so it’s obvious which approach resonated more with teammates. For Manuel to succeed in this league, he’ll need to start showing some leadership. He’ll also need to greatly improve his on-field performance, which has been borderline unwatchable for the last two seasons.
Kyle Orton, “who demands what he wants out of us.” And we know what that is.

Ya’ll fucked up 🙂
Piggy going to sell you Bull Testicles next.
Piggy,
Our run defense wasn’t that much different the past two years. Fans just seem to think this past year was much worse.
I think Shelton needs to drop about 20 pounds if he’s gonna play in a 4/3. He doesn’t have any pass rushing moves. He bull rushes guys, and he won’t do that in the NFL. If you wanna use him as a pure NT/run stuffer in a 4/3, you can..but why? Go get a guy who might actually be able to pressure the QB. I’m not keen on drafting a 2 down player in the first round….and I think that’s what he will be. Again, unless he gets down to 305-310…but then will he maintain his power and push?
Fins just lack guys with technique, sorry to say. Attribute it to talent level, coaching, etc. whatever. I mean, anyone can lineup and run up against an OL. Fins need players who can recognize down and distance, and play their OL appropriate for the situation. I’m tired of seeing guys overrush, get plowed out by guards from their DT spot because they didn’t even consider the C or OG may come plow them from the side (have to angle the body a bit to account for the balance shot coming).
We’re on the same page here. That’s why I like Malcom Brown.
Go Bull!!!

Damn i just about puked…. was finishing off my soup when this image came up ….fuck that’s disturbing. Bet soup isnt on his list of foods for a while, shit would just run out the bottom.
Come enjoy a nice nut and stout on us. LOL
herd,
I read your article! I’m so glad noodle arm brought you to us. And, imagine this, he took a worse team to the playoffs than our “franchise QB” has been able to do! I guess I have to relent and say he was a great QB….but don’t tell anyone I said that, or I’ll have to deny it. 😉
The running game and vet defense took us to the playoffs, not Pennington. Good try though. 🙂
Far as I’m concerned Herd was the player to be named later. And she’ll be with us long after anyone who was on the roster in 2011.
Tim
Is that legit, or photoshopped?
It looks real to me and I hope it is. I think what they do to the bulls is disgraceful.
Ya mean spearing them until they slowly bleed out chasing that silly red flag?
TIm — have been to a bull fight. The people in the stands cheer for the clean kill, and the guys on horses with the lances come out early just to piss the bull off. It all sounds bad, but where are my stones to throw? Not like I haven’t eaten a Rib Eye.
Omar still talking Suh, seems he took the bait….lol
Philbin and Suh? Just ain’t buying it.
He see the readers took the bait from another writer and have gravitated away, his quick attempt to pull them back by telling everyone it wouldn’t happen, didn’t work so now he is going with the flow.
Piggy,
Miami offers AJ everything but a legitimate shot at a championship….let alone a shot at the playoffs. I think people are writing off his skills a little too quickly too. The guy can still play, and teams who are legitimate SB contenders are gonna want him. I could see NE, Seattle and Indy all wanting him.
The guy had 85 receptions and almost 1000 yards in a “down” year with crappy QB play. His average went down, but that is typical for older players. He was never a huge TD guy, as he’s never had 10 in a season.
I think a lot of teams right now want young WRs
We will see
I bet when he hits the market he has no more than 3 suitors
Miami would be above all other non contenders bc he is from here and went to UM
But I do think you are correct he would take cheats or colts or Seahawks over Miami
We will have to see of they are players
I doubt New England is
Tim,
And I don’t like marshmallow fluff in my football chatter! Lol
“Ya mean spearing them until they slowly bleed out chasing that silly red flag?”
Exactly!
Stanger, it’s one thing to eat animals and another to torment and torture them.
Randy, I’m sure Adre Johnson feels Miami ‘Does” have a legit shot at the playoffs if he’s on the team contributing to that cause.
We’re 2-3 years away. 😉
Tim, ya don’t think animals get tortured being bred on farm slaughter houses so you can eat a nice steak, chicken breast, or pork chop?
Yes I do, but I don’t sit in the stands and cheer it on.
Tim — read about where veal comes from sometime (and I mean now where, but how). Will no longer eat it, even if I used to love it.
But you sit at the table cheering it on. Man if you could see what those animals go thru being caged before and then the actual slaughter process….Ewww. No wonder we have some many Vegetarians out there.
Tim,
How dare you belittle the impact Pennington had on this team. He was a true leader at the QB position. You better hope herd didn’t see that post. She may ban you. Eventhough I recommend a sharp spanking.
We came up with the Wildcat because we couldn’t move the ball well enough and were struggling to score. That was a mostly solid veteran team, that’s why we made the playoffs. No one player.
I’ve killed many animals, so I could eat them. I don’t like to see animals tormented for sport. Now, if the animal truly has the same chance to kill the human as the human has to kill the animal….let’s play!
