It’s finally here. We’ve waited and waited. There has been speculation on every detail of the team, who would stay and who would go? Who would be drafted? We’ve discussed the big offseason SUH-PRIZE! We’ve discussed the players who were injured last year and are they going to be ready? I’ve even seen discussion on uniforms. Now we get to see the first glimpse of our 2015 MIAMI DOLPHINS! It’s time to say a big FU Welcome Back to Football! It matters not to me that it’s a preseason game. It’s a game and I’ll be happy to see it.
We’re planning on updating the blog as the day goes on with links to any information that becomes available as game time approaches. That’s the plan, but since it’s a workday for most of us, it may or may not happen. And seriously, most of you don’t read the articles. You’re probably not reading this now.

The Times-Picayune’s Katherine Terrell said rookie ILB Stephone Anthony “has basically already locked up a starting spot.”
Coach Sean Payton praised Anthony in June for how quickly he picked up the playbook and “acclimated” to the Saints’ system. David Hawthorne and Dannell Ellerbe, who the Saints acquired from Miami in the Kenny Stills trade, are competing for the spot opposite Anthony.

Anthony was a good selection for the Saints, and probably would have been a good one for us had he lasted to our pick in the 2nd. You can tell though our team seemed pretty interested in McKinney, because it was right after McKinney was traded up for that we started working on moving the pick and we didnt move up for Kendricks and we passed on Perryman. We ended up with what may be a very big steal in the second if the guy keeps progressing as he seems to be, so in the end it may not matter at all.

I actually wanted La’el Collins in the first, and Anthony in the 2nd. Only one of them was available at both spots, but that was a weird situation, and he was undraftable.
And he’s been cleared yet the timing couldn’t have been worse for him.
Fins had to by pass on front options for LB & OL due to pressing needs at WR.
Hickey/Tannenbaum have done a good job filling in depth over the last 2 drafts and also hauling in some potential starters in the process to take over aging vets.
The OL needs a good draft or so to get revamped fully and I’m confident things will be addressed there once and for all in the next draft.

As he should be, the Ds in Buffalo, when he was there, were pretty good, and he couldn’t get them to the playoffs. He’s a riverboat gambler that takes unnecessary risks, or he has to take those risks to have a chance, but either way he isn’t very good. That D in Houston was pretty good last yr, but still he couldn’t make it to the playoffs.
