Happy Fest Day! It’s another Home opener of sorts, the first with Dan Campbell as head coach. So many opportunities today. We have the opportunity to finally beat the Texans. We have the opportunity to get to 3-3 before a stretch of road games. We have the opportunity to put together back to back wins for the first time in what seems like an eternity. I’m not looking it up, but it seems like a long time. And not to be ignored, it’s the opportunity to get a victory for those attending the Fest.

yep, how many times have the fins been on the opposite end of that and then it is said over and over that the only reason they came back is the other team played soft in the second half.

Alright guys. A Big Victory today. We have great momentum going onto NE. Two straight blowouts for the Dolphins. Tannehill sets a new NFL record for most completions in a row. We are in the second wildcard position pending some other games.

The players let down with a big lead which will be a discussion for sure. But they also played backups much of the 2nd half which may resonate down the road. We have to play the Pats in NE on Thursday so giving starters rest was important. We’ll see.
We turned 1-3 into 3-3 and we’re right back in it.
Pats 6-0 (of course they are)
NYJ 4-2 (they’re a tough team)
Phins 3-3 (waking the sleeping giant)
Bills 3-4 (not as good as advertised – gee what a surprise lol)
pats have 4 OL players playing new positions with 3 rookies

Nah, all phases started to say whatever. A missed extra point followed by poor offense and defense. D. Williams with an opportunity to get a 1st down but fumbling might have given way to Jonas Gray from here on out. Miller is a stud.

On defense we played backups almost the entire 2nd half. On offense you saw Williams/Gray and Parker. They definitely didn’t want to push it too much with the toughest road trip you can imagine.
At NE, BUF and PHI in a row. This is the season. 2-1 is what we must do.

This game went perfectly. The score at the end doesn’t matter, what does matter is we won and we didn’t have to play for 4 qtrs. to do it. With a game coming up in a few days this easy one is going to go a long way towards helping the starters on Thursday. It doesn’t mean we’re going to win, it just means it’s nice to not exude too much energy.
When Buff. kicked our ass in game 3 they put out too much effort to embarrass us, which they did, but they’ve lost 3 of 4 since, so I think its better to just win, than humiliate.

I didn’t watch the 2nd half, I saw the score 40-6 with 7 minutes or so left in the 3rd, the next time I checked I thought I don’t care, if it’s 41-21 just don’t exude too much energy.

The Pats had a really tough game followed by a short week. Hopefully that helps us. On the other end, we played that 5 yard line WR screen very poorly and NE uses that about 30 times a game. Our secondary and LB unit are bad so I just hope we pull something out of our…stuff to pull it out.
In the end, we won a not close game and got the winless streak off our backs. Good game guys!!
How the Jets left Gronkowski, of all people, uncovered on the TD near the end is puzzling. He’s the one guy you have to not one guy on, but likely TWO!

Smoked prime rib was exceptional. Not sure if this will make sense, but it was slow cool smoked. So the smoked flavor didn’t you hit you in the face, but it was on both the outside and inside of the meat through and through. Warren can cook.
