SUNDAY WRAP UP

No Dolphins on Sunday, they are still licking their wounds from last Thursday Night.

But the rest of the NFL was in action.

Cheifs

Want another London Game?  The NFL thinks you do.  Sunday you were able to watch football from 9:30 AM until Midnight without crying about the Dolphins.  Lions fans cried before you did anything on Sunday.  The Chiefs beat the Lions convincingly to start the day in London.

Yexans

The last two victims of the Dolphins also played each other on Sunday.  The Texans beat up on the Titans.  DeAndre Hopkins continues to have an impressive season.

SDiggs

Another young WR to keep you eye on is Stefon Diggs who helped the Vikings beat the Bears.  The Bears just keep losing.

Saints

One of the craziest games of the day was between the Saints and Giants.  And by crazy I mean no defense played.  It was the highest scoring game of the NFL season.

Drew Brees tied the NFL record with 7 TD passes.  Eli Manning threw 6 TDs.  The secondaries of each team had a group[ cry together after the game.

SSmith

Speaking of making secondaries cry – We may have seen the last of Steve Smith on Sunday.  He tore his achilles tendon in the Chargers game.  The Ravens beat the Charges – who continue to struggle but they lost an important player.

Bengals

The Bengals stayed undefeated.  They beat up Ben Rothlisberger all day and won the game on on a Dalton to Green TD pass.

Teams like the Bengals have the ’72 Dolphins a little worried.

RaidersCarr

Want some good AFC East News.  The Raiders beat the Jests!  Derek Carr threw 4 TDs before the 3rd quarter was over.  The Jests secondary continues to struggle.

    tim,

while i was hoping for you and mike and a few others here the mets would pull it out, i was glad to see zorella do well and get a championship. he was always a huge fan fav as a Ray. and from what i hear a very good guy

    • Tim Knight says:

Yeah I’m happy for good peeps having their moment. It wasn’t the Mets moment and that’s okay. A lot of them have experience now of the whole path on how to get there which I think is a good thing. Learning how to win big games.

Well thank you but going on a playoff run and competing for a championship doesn’t suck! LOL

      Hear that Dolphins! 🙂

  3. jetsssuck says:

Here’s something from the NE game.
The pats ran 43 plays with the 3 receiver set packed together. Out of the 43 only 6 plays were the same. This is where I think the pats are superior to perform a precision passing attack. delayed releases, crossing each other, criss crossing each other. delays of one receiver until lead receiver leaves a zone and delays go into the unoccuped zone. Why can’t we have a attack like this? We try to create a crossing patterns in front of LOS 6-10 yards out.

    • jetsssuck says:

the jets 11 man front makes sense but the defenders have to be sure tacklers plus they have to jam and not let the receivers release. The jets only used it 5 times but they also mixed it up with 9 and 10 man fronts.

    You guys with Baseball
I saw 10 plays last night and the very 1st one was Bartollo Bolon throein out Bour on a slow roller. It was a behind the back throw to 1st.
    What happened to him?
Is he only good when you play the Marlins?
Forget David Wright he has been the Mets Marlins Killer for the last while

The Politics of Military Justice, Bowe Bergdahl Edition

It’s Abrams vs.McCain. Abrams is the son of army general who had tank named after him the Abrams tank. McCain is a former POW who had multiple bones broken so he couldn’t escape and head of the armed forces committee who determines commissioned officers who are to get promoted.

McCain said recently “I am not prejudging, OK, but it is well-known that in the searches for Bergdahl, after — we know now — he deserted, there are allegations that some American soldiers were killed or wounded, or at the very least put their lives in danger, searching for what is clearly a deserter. We need to have a hearing on that.”

    ——————————–
IMO its a weak excuse, however given he is a interm coach and a HC for the first time, its one of the reasons i pretty much went into the game expecting a let down from past couple of weeks. Thats a lot to adjust to, best team in the NFL currently, one of the most experienced coaches, short week, still not fully settled in. I think he deserves a pass on that game, but no excuses for this next one.

    • BoulderPhinfan says:

I just don’t like excuses. OH that wasn’t us that got our assess kicked. give me a break. You lost to a better team with a better coach that day. It doesn’t mean we won’t beat the pats later this year at home. But they were the better team that day.

    • Tim Knight says:

That’s always been my point. We don’t have any say in any of this. All we can do is root and hope for the best. There are teams who have never won a championship and have been bad a lot. What are the fans suppose to do, murder the owner and front office? LOL

Gutting Unfortunate Innocent Squirrels In Neighborhood

    • Tim Knight says:

Unfortunately I buried three this summer. First two little ones (early stages) fall out of a nest after a windy, rain storm and land on my patio dead. Then a few weeks later a teen squirrel is dead on my patio. A corner of my yard is becoming a pet cemetery.

I love watching the little fucks but they also fuck up our harvest. LOL

      • herdfan says:

lol at the squirrel talk. Today I took a kitten that is now unfortunately living at my house to be fixed. When I’m picking it up at the vet’s office after work, this lady walks in with a squirrel sitting on her shoulder. I’ve never seen one that tame before.
