the odd right now is pk for the game against dallas. So the odds makers think on neutral field dallas would beat us.
    ————————————-
Crap i forgot we were at home, ok i see why we are +1, i thought for some reason we were in Dallas for this game.

Lol Tim i dont know whats nastier, that you have become adept at finding very disgusting pictures of poop or that someone actually took the time to photograph those.

Finding stuff really isn’t difficult. Google dog shit and bingo! It’s the same way FFR finds dwarfs banging wombat pics. LOL

It’s absolutely crazy that the Cleveland Browns used two first-round picks in the SAME year on Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden.

Ive been saying i think Germany needs to be on high alert. They have let most the refugees in of all other countries and im afraid that also means they might have let in more of the ISIS plants as well. I am really afraid Germany is going to get it worse than France.

Yeah and many said Weeden should have been drafted over Tanny. LOL
    ——————————————-
Definitely wasn’t me. I was a BIG time against Weeden. I knew when i watched him at Senior Bowl he was never going to be anything special. I kinda thought he might make more of his career than he has at this point but i didnt expect him to be a starter long in the NFL.

    • Tim Knight says:

I’m talking more about pundits than fans here. I’m sure there were a few bloggers who preferred Weeden but I don’t remember who they were.

    What’s up FUers?

  8. Tim Knight says:

France and Russia are pounding ISIS strong-holds with airstrikes while American generals say we’ve been lacks in that area with heavy restrictions. I think we all know why that is.

    • Mike E. says:

I just read that article Tim. Former general saying our “rules of engagement” are all screwed up

what do u guys think of Bush’s proposal to let only syrian christans be allowed to immigrate to US instead of blocking all immigrates of syria into US and the 31 states governors saying No. Not in my state

Sorry to hear of your loss Ken
    You have my condolences!

    You doing alright?

    Hey Ken! How you doin’?

  11. finfanrob says:

LOL even grade school kids get it but not the nfl

  12. Mike E. says:

I wanted to draft Weeden so we could be the first team to draft a senior citizen

  13. Tim Knight says:

Mike Francesa just said he knows what the feel is in Miami (conne3ctions) and that Ross really likes Campbell but wants to see more consistency from the team under him. Francesa knows Tannenbaum and just reiterated that they all like Campbell and want him to succeed.

  14. Ken says:

Tim:I am alright. Yesterday was rough. I became very emotional doing the eulogy. I kept it together but it was a struggle.

    • Tim Knight says:

I’m sure that was very difficult, man. I’m not sure I could do a eulogy without losing it.

How are your boys dealing with it?

      • Ken says:

The boys are good. My mom had been declining for the last 4-5 years so their relationship with my mom was not that active over that time. They were with her more between ages 3-7.

  15. Ken says:

Thanks Jetsucks and Boulder for the condolences.

  16. Ken says:

    Mike E:
I am tired. It has been a draining week since last Tuesday when they called that Mom was failing. It’s been non-stop since then. I took today off from work but back at it tomorrow.

    ————————————
To me, the Syrian Christians are being targeted so maybe we can let them in. Bush had the only solution among all the candidates of either party and Obama laughed at this, when he earlier said he was open to any solutions suggestions. This was a real head scratcher.

    • getterdone says:

FFR, I hear that. I’d have bush squads like the nazi ss troopers on patrol too.
Find a hidden bush….send it immediately to Mustashio for a shave. 😉

  26. finfanrob says:

    getter,

speaking of a shave. have you seen this commercial? it has got to be one of the best commercials ever

  27. getterdone says:

LOL @ Tim. Yeah, but instead of sprinkling them with so called holy water, just water board them in holy water. Now that is all Bush! 😉

  28. finfanrob says:

‘Find a hidden bush….send it immediately to Mustashio for a shave. ;)’

no way, when i am in charge i am not going to leave it up to others. i am going to be a hands on type of leader. i will take things into my own hands and solve the problem

  29. D says:

I think we should take in the refugees but there needs to be a process before they have full access to our country. I thin they should spend a certain amount of time in a processing area. They could be provided housing, food, etc. while background research is done on them and the proper processing occurs. This will also be a time where US sponsors can adopt the refugee families, those sponsors should also be background checked. Once the sponsorship pairing is complete the sponsor families/organizations become responsible for them. Assistance can be provided to all those taking in sponsors to help this transition work out for all of us.

I guess what im saying is im for letting them in, but against making it an easy process and potentially endangering our current citizens. To be honest we already have ISIS sympathizers and plants inside this country, but i do fee we need to be wary of opening the floodgate so those number increase dramatically.

    • jetsssuck says:

good thought out answer. If we let the Muslim Syrians in we will will have a higher chance of them becoming radicalized. Next year I think they said 10k immigrates are scheduled to come in.

America is the land of opportunity. It is land of inclusion. I am proud that after 200+ years people still look to America as the land of opportunity. I will not some terrorist take away that important part of our national identity. Same applies to some half assed presidential candidate looking to score political points.

    • Tim Knight says:

Yeah but you cannot ignore the threats involved with what’s going on.

D’s plan is good but it would take a long time and being very expensive. Syria is a lot closer to many other nations, where are those countries stepping up?

      • jetsssuck says:

until paris, a lot of countries were taking in the desperate immigrates.

      • D says:

Germany has really lead the way and has bent over backwards and its going to have a very strong impact on their future, even if they do manage not to get terrorist cells developing in their country. I think i heard something in the nature of 1% of their total population is refugees now. which doesn’t sound like a huge amount but its a pretty dramatic shift both in population and culturally speaking. Its going to come with clashes between nationals and foreigners, and a lot of other blending pains that come with that kind of change. Its survivable but i think the rest of the world really has to step up and share that burden, its too much for one country to take on. It would be a lot for us to take on, and for us that would only be like .2% of our population.

      • getterdone says:

Ahh, but that’s just it. The plan all along was to flood the EU & US with refugees!
All part of the ‘nwo’ if you will. The divide and conquer plan if you will. The further eroding of our rights so we can be protected under the police state security blankets.

Also Jelani Jenkins might be more banged up than we thought….yikes.

    • D says:

Yeah i was afraid of that. Im not sure we needed to sign another guy, we got young guys who can step up, but i guess it cant hurt. I hope because of experience he doesn’t leap them though i want to see more of those guys.

      • Tim Knight says:

Need depth behind those young guys – Misi, Sheppard, Vigil, Hewitt and Hull. We’re getting thin with McCain not at LB anymore, and Paysinger and now Jenkins hurt.

    • getterdone says:

BTW, he was usually a core ST guy the past 3 years, but has made a few nice plays on defense when called upon. Played mostly ILB and is said to be a good hitter on early downs.

  39. D says:

Max Bullough is a guy i really wanted couple drafts ago, he has kinda hung on with the Texans, barely, on PS all year his rookie year i know for sure. Just checked, because i woulda signed him over this guy, but looks like he is on their 53 now.

  40. D says:

McKinney is starting to get acclimated it looks like. He looked pretty decent last night. Game against the Bengals was his best so far. 9 tackles, 1 TFL, 3 yard loss.

  41. Mike E. says:

Stephone Anthony is doing well for the Saints, although their defense is dreadful. He already has 5 passes defensed, along with an INT and 1 sack

  42. Tim Knight says:

Yes other countries are taking in Syrian refugees but there is a very large region closer to them where countries can assist them other than us is my point. They have to cross the friggin Atlantic ocean to come here, we don’t seem to be the best logistical place for them to go.

    • getterdone says:

All by design my friend…think trojan horse.

      • Tim Knight says:

Not sure it’s by design but it could result in a trojan horse. The difference is this isn’t an army we’re letting in. Some bad people sure, but we allow bad people in our country all the time from Latin America. Heck, we already have a lot of bad people in our country who are citizens.

So does this mean the Dolphins have a cardboard cutout of Ross in the locker room, and after every win they remove an article of clothing from the cutout?

No wonder we can’t get any wins!! lol

Oh, it was Romo that said it, lol. I thought it was the SS quoting Major League.

  46. Tim Knight says:

GD, did you see my earlier post.

“Mike Francesa just said he knows what the feel is in Miami (connections) and that Ross really likes Campbell but wants to see more consistency from the team under him. Francesa knows Tannenbaum and just reiterated that they all like Campbell and want him to succeed.”

    • getterdone says:

That’s great to hear Tim. All I want is him to get a fair shot….and as I’ve said many times, that fair shot to me is seeing what he can do with real coordinators. 😉

      • Tim Knight says:

Well that’s not going to happen this year as far as the coordinators go. I also don’t think it’s fair to put a lot of blame on Lou Anarumo who is basically at that point of becoming a DC – he’s been working his way up to this point. He took over DC responsibilities along with Campbell as HC with a team in dire need of a change in direction. It doesn’t happen overnight. You know how I feel about Lazor as do many of you. If he would just stop with the gimmicky shit he’d probably be solid.

The bottom line is this team under Philbin, Coyle and Lazor were 1-3. Under Campbell, Anarumo and Lazor the team is 3-2. I’m rooting for them to finish as well. Campbell and his staff have to go 4-3 minimum to secure their jobs and even then maybe not all of them.

  51. Tim Knight says:

Brenner just like Francis are probably happy as shit to still be hanging on in the NFL. I wouldn’t feel sorry for them. They’re fringe NFL talents.

i think romo’s job is going to be to hand the ball off 170 times. their oline vs the dolphins d line isnt much of a match

    • Tim Knight says:

Not sure about that. We had bloggers predicting on the road in PHI we’d allow three 100 yard rushers to the Eagles. As a team we held them to 36-83 2.3. Now we’re home and this game is huge for Campbell’s future and the season for the entire team. We don’t make up any ground with our bad AFC records, but wins are most important now.

Go Phins!!! One game at a time. 🙂

  56. finfanrob says:

    tim

i wasnt one that thought the eagles were all that. heck i dont know if dallas is all that. but i have seen the fins get run all over by the bills. and the dallas o line is one of the best in football.

here, let me make this simple. i will tell you sunday afternoon around 4 if dallas ran all over them.

  57. getterdone says:

Just don’t let Witten go wild this week Anarumo!!!!

    • Tim Knight says:

We’re getting really thin at LB. The DL has to pick it up and carry us with the young LBs and secondary. Both have to step it up as well. Misi, Sheppard, Vigil, Hewitt and Hull. We’re getting thin with McCain not at LB anymore, and Paysinger and now Jenkins hurt.

This is where Campbell will earn his stripes. Go Big Dan!!! I’m rooting for him. I thought after the Bills loss he was done. But the win in Philly was big. Win this game against the Cowboys and now we have something.

HERDFAN; RE: SAFETY. –As you’ve seen, I’m picking Miami over Dallas 24-23. That’s 3 touchdowns, 3 extra points and a safety for South America’s team, the Cocaine Cowboys!! – – For those of you who might not know, the term “Cocaine Cowboys” harkens back to the days when Michael Irvin and some of his team mates would go to a home known as “The White House,” located near Texas Stadium, and inhale white cocaine before and/or after a Cowboys home games. Years earlier, Thomas “Hollywood” Henderson actually carried a small bag of the stuff onto the field DURING GAMES!!! Many of the Cowboys’ questionable antics were highlighted in the movie “North Dallas Forty,” patterned after a book of the same name written by ex-Cowboys’ tight end Pete Gent. Gent once claimed that South America’s team behavior was actually MORE INSANE than he portrayed it in his ground breaking book!! Those of you who HAVE NOT seen “North Dallas Forty” need to set aside time to view one of the best sports movies ever made!!
    —————
PS: In Sunday’s game, look for former Florida Atlantic wide out “Lucky” Whitehead, who returns kicks for the Cowboys. In 2014, Whitehead led Conference USA in pass receptions and ran back both a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns. The Dolphins DID NOT even give “Lucky” a work out, to the best of my knowledge!!! He COULD have been a big upgrade over Damien Williams!!! – – Shades of Alfred Morris and FIU’s T. Y. Hilton all over again!!

Only Browns G/C Cam Erving and Cardinals OT D.J. Humphries have played fewer snaps among first-round rookies than Parker. That doesn’t include I.R.’ed WRs Kevin White and Breshad Perriman. Parker hasn’t been able to find the field behind Jarvis Landry, Rishard Matthews, Kenny Stills, and Greg Jennings, and appears to be in a bit of a down mood, understandably. He’s played just 110 offensive snaps and seen a total of seven targets.

    • Mike E. says:

That was before the Dolphins drafted him and he had the dreaded Bad Foot syndrome

foot is hard o recover from.no cast usually. I have had broken big toe for almost 4 month (dec1st) and its still not healed. no cast, just Rice —–rest, ice, compress, elevation. Gotta figure you put all your weight on your feet. My toe bone was split up the bone so I might need a screw to help the bone to heal.

  72. jetsssuck says:

hollywood henderson played for the dolphins briefly during a preseason game he had a fractured (broken) neck. Another interesting thing about the Cowboys during their early years is Duane Thomas RB and how the cowboys were the first to use computers to help with team game planning

  73. herdfan says:

I can attest to the slow healing of foot fractures. Took mine about 3 months to feel ok to wear anything but flip flops and I didn’t even have surgery although it was 3 total breaks in 2 bones. The way it was it was explained to me was there aren’t a lot of blood vessels in the area of the foot that was broken which made the healing process slower. Mine was called a Jones fracture, different types are where the break is located.

    • Tim Knight says:

I’m dealing with a sprain or a slight fracture in my foot now. It got better weeks ago but because it felt 100% again I forgot about it and kneeled down to do something and bent it where the injury was and re-aggravated it. I injured it shoveling back in like May or June, I forget. But because it’s my foot and I use it to walk, stand, drive etc. it’s impossible to immobilize it for any period of time. It sucks.

      • jetsssuck says:

they give u a big boot that goes almost to your knee to help immobilize your foot. It’s very awkward especially for me since I have balance issues since the stroke.

    • getterdone says:

Jerry step on your foot? 😉
Does sound painful tho. I’ve lost count on the times and many toes that I’ve broken. Luckily never had a midfoot fracture, but it has felt that way before where I couldn’t walk.

    • jetsssuck says:

my break is located on the tip of the big toe—the knuckle down they said. Went 2 weeks not putting any pressure on it while icing it.I thought it was good so I did the food shopping and I felt good wearing sneakers well next day IT hurt real bad I was almost crying like a little girl.

    …from ESPN

Miami Dolphins head coach Dan Campbell is in an interesting spot this week. A Texas native, Campbell gets to face his childhood team for the first time as head coach on Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys visit Sun Life Stadium.

“I was a huge Cowboys fan,” Campbell said. “It was when I played for the Giants, when I started, that was always a weird game for me to play the Cowboys. But throughout the years it’s like anything else. Now you’re on the other side you don’t really care, so you’re just trying to win, and that’s all that matters.”

Who was Campbell’s favorite Cowboys player growing up?

“That’s pretty good. I want to say Tony Dorsett,” Campbell said. “The high school years was certainly The Trio [Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin], but before that I loved Dorsett. I loved Danny White. That was kind of my growing-up era. I loved Randy White, [Ed] ‘Too Tall’ Jones. I mean I was a big fan of all those guys.”

  75. BoulderPhinfan says:

pouncey had a bad day on Sunday. He graded out one of the worst centers. Cox used him as a rag doll. From Mando

“You saw it most obviously when Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox got under Pouncey’s pads and basically threw him away on his way to a sack of Tannehill. Everyone saw it and then saw it again on replay.

Indeed, after the game, Dolphins left tackle Branden Albert approached Pouncey — not in a critical way, mind you, but more in a brotherly way — and implored Pouncey to understand that the moment was evidence he needs to take his time in the weight room much more seriously in the future.

Pouncey, not known as a great weight room fan, nodded his agreement.

That bad moment against Cox aside, Pouncey didn’t exactly distinguish himself. He graded out 27th of the 28 centers ProFootballFocus.com graded this week”.

    • getterdone says:

WOW, I didn’t know Pouncey was lazy in the weight room. All OL need to be work out warriors. I sure hope he makes up for it in other ways in his training or else he’s gonna start getting abused more and more as he ages.
      Kevin Mawae he’s NOT!

    • D says:

Id say for sure he should get some bulk to him, but i also think his speed and ability to get downfield is on an amazing level. If he can bulk up about 10 lbs or so of muscle he should be able to get the strength he needs and not lost his agility/speed. Cox is a beast though so im not sure if he would ever look dominate over him, its just a bad match-up period.

  76. D says:

So on my way in to work today i heard that ISIS is pushing propaganda right now aimed at making the US and its indecision on letting Syrian refugees in as an indication America is not Muslim friendly. They are doing this in hopes of being able to get a foothold on the moderately radicals and even some of the non-radical Muslims by showing that America is enemy to their faith, and provide them an in to converting them to their cause.

I know that most here are pretty smart, free-thinking types, in the rest of the population not all carefully examine situations for the truth in it. This situation makes me afraid that ISIS currently has us in a catch 22 between being the country we are, one of acceptance of all, and endangering ourselves by trying to prove we aren’t by letting those “refugees” be admitted unrestricted (also a win for ISIS). This is why so many of us are conflicted on what we should do, because its truly a damned if you do, damned if you don’t. In catch 22 situations you have to be clever getting out of them and still being successful in making your decision, and that’s kinda why i wen with the strategy i purposed yesterday. Worst part of it, though, may be what follows.

At the core of things that ISIS hates about us is our liberties and freedoms, and if not handled properly or if allowed to go overboard with it, what is most at risk could be those liberties. If refugees are let in and not vetted properly it could lend itself to a monitoring situation, much the way France thwarted the most recent attack plans. We could find ourselves in a situation where all phone conversations, internet activity , etc is monitored. Which would be a third way to let ISIS claim a victory. I don’t feel threatened by being monitored, but you also have to provide boundaries to agencies with this power lest it turn into something worst so a time limit on how long it goes on, and a limit to whom is being monitored would have to be applied.

I really think we are in a scary place with this stuff, not only do i feel certain we will have an attack on our soil in the near future by ISIS, i also think that the fallout is going to drastically change the landscape of our country, its nature of welcoming all, and its freedoms and liberties. Only thing i think that will get us out of this spot, and other western countries is a swift and decisive dealing with ISIS through unified efforts by all countries. We need to mend those fences quickly with Germany, France, etc and get behind their efforts to snuff out ISIS.

    • getterdone says:

Good post and I feel ya.
But this has been a deranged plan all along that has started well before ‘ISIS’.
Killing or wiping out ‘ISIS’ will not stop the scourge that is across the world and now slowly percolating in the US.
Outside of ISIS, Muslim culture in general have been calling for Sharia law to be allowed in the US, then etc etc etc until they’ve fully infected the culture of the US.
      Fall from within!

Any immigrant that wants permanent or citizenship in the US should have to become one legally, have no background in any radicalism themselves or any of their friends or relatives abroad, follow OUR Laws & speak OUR language!
Also they should provide evidence of something constructive that they have to contribute to the US, as in investments, business, skills, etc!

Who cares what ISIS thinks, they’re going to be demolished. They have too many powerful enemies. Most of these foreign Muslims already feel that way about America. All you have to do is go back and watch Muslim reactions to 9/11.

Yes other countries are taking in Syrian refugees but there is a very large region closer to them where countries can assist them other than us is my point. They have to cross the friggin Atlantic ocean to come here, we don’t seem to be the best logistical place for them to go.
    ———————————————
Those countries dont give a shit Tim. Human life isnt valued in a lot of places the way we are, and other free countries are. After all free countries all fought for everyone to count. Dictatorships, monarchies, are much like slave/slave-master situations. Majority of people dont matter except to provide for those with power. They die, then oh well they die. They dont look at the Syrian situation as a “oh my thats horrible, we need to help them”, they look at it like “damn what a mess im not getting involved and pulled down by it”.

  78. Tim Knight says:

GD, Pouncey has also displayed his elite pulling ability many times this year. He’s never been the most powerful center in the game, he’s one of the most athletic though.

    ——————————————-
I dont care what ISIS thinks either. I care that other Muslims and easily brainwashed Americans cant be brought in to strengthen them by making us look to be a discriminating country. ISIS can use those people already behind our borders to start the same kind of plans executed in France. Understand most the operatives in France were citizens, who had become supporters of ISIS.

ISIS could have been demolished a while ago and it still hasn’t happened, so im not so convinced they will now. Also im not talking about foriegn Muslims Tim, im more worried about the ones already here that may turn on us if the sitution isnt handled properly.

    • getterdone says:

Then change our leadership and stop training, funding, and arming militant groups like ISIS to fight proxy wars for us because we want to depose foreign leaders we don’t like and maybe the problems wouldn’t be as bad.
In other words, keep our nose out of other countries business unless it affects our soil.

    • Tim Knight says:

The Muslims already here are likely already set in their ways. I don’t think there will be an extreme change in ideology any different than what is already going on.

ISIS made a mistake taking down a Russian Jet and their terror in Paris. They opened up a can of whoop ass on themselves that didn’t need to happen. If their goal is to ultimately create caliphate states, terrorizing European and/or other nations was the wrong way to go about it. Now they have enemies pissed off they have no chance of defeating.

  81. Tim Knight says:

GD, you’re very cynical about our country. I don’t think you’ll ever live to see the prophecy you speak of. I don’t think the next 3 generations will ever see it. I think fear mongers make the NWO out to be something sinister and evil when I think it’s the natural evolution for humans to become more united. It won’t be easy, it won’t be without more bloodshed and struggle, but it’s inevitable. I think the biggest fear comes from religious types who are concerned more about their faith than the progress of mankind.

    • Al in MIA says:

Fear mongering is a political tactic as old as time.
      As billy joel wrote
      “We didn’t start the fire
      It was always burning

      We didn’t start the fire
      No we didn’t light it
But we tried to fight it”

    • getterdone says:

Wrong, but nice try. I see what you’re trying to say, but I’m not a fear monger etc.
I’m cynical about my country’s leadership cause as a vet who served years ago I saw things changing, the shift of corruption, the cesspool of power & greed…and it’s been in steady decline ever since.
I have many friends and fellow vets I know that are fed up with it too.

      • Tim Knight says:

I think the United States of America was the beginning of a more united world through diversity but it doesn’t happen overnight, in fact it takes hundreds of years. Along the way there is the typical paranoia of change, cultures that are different, people with views out of the realm of what people are accustomed to etc.

I do not believe we’re headed for global slavery, I believe we’re headed for global enlightenment. We’re just living in the time of struggle and trial and error.

Vikings LCB Terence Newman has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 10.
The 37-year-old, 13th-year pro had his best game of the season against Derek Carr and the Raiders, picking off two passes, breaking up two others, and allowing just four catches for 26 yards on 11 targets. Carr had a 5.3 passer rating targeting Newman, who graded out as PFF’s No. 1 corner Week 10. The ageless Newman has resurrected his career under coach Mike Zimmer.

They got attacked recently, i mean the marathon attack is very similar to the shit that happened in France. We have these sympathizers here, and every year we get a bunch of idealistic shitheads who get roped into thinking we are the bad guys and to attack their own. I feel something just like this happens again, but by the rule of lightning strikes, i doubt they are going to hit the same target again.

  87. D says:

“I do not believe we’re headed for global slavery, I believe we’re headed for global enlightenment. We’re just living in the time of struggle and trial and error.”

Lots and lots of error….. I believe we COULD be heading that way but right now we are walking away from it. We went through tumultuous times before, in our history, but to me this seems like the first time that i have seen significant strides towards becoming more divided than unified.

    • Tim Knight says:

It’s a slow process for our individual lifespans. But much progress has been made globally over the last few hundred years that people tend to ignore and focus mostly on the negative because many people tend to be drawn to that. A lot of good is happening despite some of the horror.

Also, let’s stop acting like American history has been filled with nothing but glorious love, pride and righteousness. We’ve been just as evil as anyone else on the planet, but we strive to do the right thing even scolding ourselves for the wrong doings of our past.
