Ron Paul on Isis ^^^
Can’t listen, what does he say?
Hundreds of Muslim immigrants have already been charged and convicted of providing material support to terrorist organizations, or attempting to launch their own attacks here on U.S. soil. (See list at end of this article of recent cases.)
Obama wants to import 85,000 foreign refugees in fiscal 2016, including 10,000 from Syria, with those numbers being ramped up further in 2017.
This comes amid repeated warnings by the FBI that it cannot screen Syrian refugees and that it is already chasing 1,000 active ISIS investigations in all 50 states.
But the FBI has also been less than transparent about attacks that have already occurred on U.S. soil.
Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2015/11/big-list-all-these-terror-attacks-in-u-s-covered-up-by-feds/#5FMY9Gd5YFmJrxXA.99
wnd is not real news. Its garbage news like Faux new which likes to incite bigotry and violence
I can see why you read it.
He doesn’t want to “import” anyone like we are trading Syria for livestock or something….lol
He doesn’t want the states turning refugees away
I think the security concerns are valid
I just don;t care for the semantics like he is actively trying to bring people here
The reality is most of these refugees if they make it in will be hardworking tax paying people within a few months
But I have no idea had to distinguish between threats or not and I’m not sure anyone can effectively do that
I’m shocked misi is injured
“Linebacker Jelani Jenkins (ankle) is in a walking boot today and not practicing. Linebacker Koa Misi (unknown injury) is also not practicing today.”
He’s actually been durable this year. Lots of guys are banged up this time of year. We’ve actually been spared serious injuries compared to other teams.
I agree. He hasn’t been injured as much as usual this year.

You really need to hear him explain his POV
a lot of it goes over my head
That sounds like the typical libertarian view of not policing the world and only using our military for defense purposes. It sounds good in theory but there are some libertarian views that are too absolute and not realistic.
libertarian POV is often more theory than practice

Piggy, agreed on libertarianism. At least it’s not about making up new rules all the time. That’s what pols spend too much time doing so it looks like they’re doing something important when much of the time it’s asinine. LOL

Piggy, very good post by Dr. Paul. He says a lot of the things that I & others have said here. Ron Paul has always been very genuine and really cares about this country & it’s ‘citizens’.
His son is pretty sound too, but is being blackballed by the PTB that he scares. Sadly the general masses can’t see that for the blinders they wear.
But some still blow it off as nut job tin foil hat BS. Maybe the sheep that Wyoming is talking about with their heads stuck in the sand, I dunno…lol
Actually, many, many refugees immediately go on government assistance when they come here and do not become employed tax payers. Lots of them actually apply for social security benefits based on disability and get it. I’ve heard they actually have individuals who meet with them when they step off the boat and tell them exactly where to go, what to say and how to get on benefits. This country spends billions of “hidden” dollars on refugees that comes out of our pockets.
How do refugees get social security? That’s fuckin absurd.
Tim, it’s been that way for some time now. They get SSI, welfare, food stamps, medicaid, DL’s in most cases, etc etc.
The SS had a recent series about Cubans getting off the boat then collecting ssi and other gov’t benefits and going back to cuba while collecting these gov’t benefits. The scam is against the gov’t but like all newspaper stories their job is readership and making advertisers pay extra money. So we have sensationalism stories. I don’t deny it doesn’t happen but its not widespread.

Last I heard a few years ago, Minnesota had the largest Somali population in the world outside of Somalia. Their “queen” lived 45 minutes from where I live. Trust me, our state alone spends millions on refugees. They can get benefits easier than actual residents sometimes.
***
And I think the Hmong population here is like 3 times as big as the Somalis. This was a few years ago.
Their queen doesn’t even live in her own country? LOL
I’m surprised people from Africa would settle in MInnesota. Not exactly similar climates.

Campbell said Misi and Jenkins will be game-time decisions. Said Misi more likely to play than Jenkins.
GD, I’ve heard of non-citizens getting benefits plenty of times but I’m not actually seeing it. My comment was kind of rhetorical. How does the government even begin to explain how they give benefits to non-citizens that is funded by taxpaying citizens? Then have discussions about SS going bankrupt and the next generation having to pay into to it subsidize the prior generation but will have to take the hit and not receive it themselves. I mean how can anyone explain that?

I bet rex has dreaming up blitz packages that the Pats have never seen. Maybe he’s going to use the 11 man front the jets threw at the pats. The Pats OL can’t possibly hold back the Bills DL after they have shown how they were beating everyone with a smoke and mirrors show the last several weeks.
I was checking into some food stamps benefits for a clients brother one time. he was ineligible for them, however if i marked the box that he was an illegal alien then he became eligible. it was for just nominal dollars but it was funny he wasnt eligible for them as a citizen
Tim,
Off topic but when Randy talked about a Somali queen living in the US, I remembered reading about Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother, Joseph, living in the US in Bordentown, NJ (neighbors Hamilton Township where I lived and where Joseph ultimately lived).

yes this is how the civil war in syria started. Mostly young who couldn’t support themselves because of high unemployment. They protested in the streets, assad sent in his thugs to beat them up, then the parents joined to support their children and then assad sent in the military and it escalated.

just one more reason to fuel the hatred
There is nothing secret about the way noncitizens receive SS benefits
You can read about it on the ss website
It’s no secret and doesn’t involve secret money
You don’t step off a boat and get it
There are many categories that qualify
You can read about it here
Instead if sifting through propaganda about it
You can read it from the horses mouth
There is a lot of conspiracies or blatant anti immigration propaganda about it that is just not reliable
if you really want to know how
https://www.socialsecurity.gov/ssi/spotlights/spot-non-citizens.htm
It’s not easy
It’s a very believes tic process
Most do not qualify
This is always greatly exagerrated
It’s really not very common at all
State welfare benefits vary from state to state
Some like NY are much easier to obtain than fed benefits
Randy – probably Minnesota too (that’s just a guess)
But those aren’t SS benefits
And some states don’t offer anything at all
I really don’t care for some of the antimmigra to backlash I hear about these days. Nothing personel against anyone else’s point of view
But a lot of info out there is just false
I don’t think non-citizens should receive them at all unless they’re paying into it.
If an 80 year woman comes here
Lives with her family
I really don’t have a problem with it if she never worked a day in her like on us soil
Are you going to ask an 80 year to get to work
Or turn your back on them and say go back to your country where you can dodge bombs
I think you have a system with limited exceptions
So you can express some compassion to people who are in dire situations
I just don’t think you want a family or young people coming here for the free $$$
But I really don’t think that’s the norm
And that’s what people project when they discuss it
Speaking of the Pats, saw this earlier…

Did you used to see all the punk rockers?
Only in America comrade…lol
I’ve seen people abuse benefits too
I don’t doubt it happens
It doesn’t mean it’s the norm
Occasionally I have to deal with it in court – and it’s disgusting when I see it
I’m going to guess the facts you are not SS benefits but some kind of state welfare – just a guess
But the Feds have a tighter wallet tba some states – particularly ny
At the end of the day I don’t think it’s accurate to assume that refugees cause any sort of epidemic economic harm
I’m a little more concerned about the safety issues
And If I knew we could weed out potential terrorists
I would not care at all
The reality is there are many citizens abusing this process too
We have a problem with the process as a whole
It’s not a citizenship issue
The redistribution of wealth in this country is fucked up and immoral in many ways. That’s not on the citizens other than they voted for it a long time ago. LOL

It’s not easy
It’s harder for them than citizens
I’m not talking about retirees
I’m talking about young people who chose not to work

It has nothing to do with immigration

http://www.westernjournalism.com/shock-video-muslims-march-up-to-paris-theater-and-deliver-this-eerie-message-7-years-before-attack/
The only thing I believe the Pats can do against ryans bills is back brady up another 2-3 steps to where he is almost as far back as if he is punting. They can’t cut the field in half like did to us because Ryan will blitz from either side and they have to set up before the snap. Maybe 4 TE package they were using earlier in year? Ryan has seen it already and probably been preparing for it.
I think people who collect benefits should get 1 surprise random visit a month from a government agent, and should have to allow that agent to search their entire home, to see if any expensive items that don’t match up are lurking. I don’t mean just immigrants, I mean anyone collecting benefits.
Yeah like one of these.
you sound like Col. Klinger.
Defrauding the govt for benefits is a problem
If all immigration ended today
It would still be a problem
piggy,
do you know this to be true or just your opinion? and i dont doubt defrauding is a major problem. hell another major problem and it is perfectly legal is people receiving way more then they ever paid into the system or paying none at all. I have a client, a very very wealthy client that is retired. he and his wife are receiving ss benefits, a nice amount and she never worked a day in her life.
survivors benefits?

I don’t think immigration is the biggest problem concerning people collecting benefits and sucking the system dry. I think we need to stop rewarding single mothers each time they pump out another baby, in fact, they should be penalized. If you can’t afford the baby, DON’T HAVE THEM! I think people collecting unemployment need to be cut off and often checked to see if they are truly attempting to gain employment.
LOL
LOL
I don’t think we’ve ever beat dallas with romo as QB and I doubt we’ll start this weekend.
——-
That’s not saying much as the two teams have only played each other 3 times in Tony Romo’s pro career (2003, 2007 & 2011); 2 of which he started (2007 & 2011; was a rookie in 2003).
The last time in Dallas the Fins were up late but then blew it and it came down to Romo scrambling on 3rd down making a 1st down breaking the defenses back and setting up the eventual game winning FG from close range.
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201111240dal.htm
Matt Moore was the Fins QB in that 2011 game; Trent Green the QB in the 2007 game
yes I remember that and moore was the QB and had that stupid fumble. I think it was thanksgiving day.
Romo has this ability to make plays at certain times to win games they look like are losing.
howie,
24 – 17 dallas. I hope I’m wrong.
I’m hoping Romo is rusty and that Dez has issues with his foot again.
Dez was listed last week as being limited going into the Bucs game with a foot injury and he under performed. The previous week against the Eagles he was on the report with a knee injury but had a big game).
This is his rotoworld report after the Bucs game:
Dez Bryant caught 5-of-12 targets for 45 yards in Dallas’ Week 10 loss to the Bucs.
Bryant also committed two drops, and was the target on Matt Cassel’s game-ending interception. Bryant seemed more concerned with begging for a flag than breaking up the pass.
I’d be disappointed if we lose this game. But with Romo you just never know. He could throw 3 ints or 3 tds.
If this was in Dallas I think we’d lose for sure. At home and Romo being rusty I think we have a chance.
I need to know why you have Mercedes S550 parked in your barn . . .

Stats indicate he is elite, but he is still pretty wildly inconsistent. I would put him on the fringe because you cant in any way say day in and day out he is going to perform well. Very Jekyll and Hyde. When he is on though he is pretty friggin sharp.
Romo i meant.
He had a Dolphins like defense and poor OL for a while.
Many blamed him for the result of some of those timely INT he did but there were always other things going on in the game from a defensive stand point or OL standpoint that had just as much if not more of an impact on the game.

When the Dolphins selected Tony Lippett in the fifth round of this year’s draft, they knew they were getting a long-term project with a lot of potential.
He might be ahead of schedule.
Lippett, who made some standout plays at cornerback in training camp, was pressed in to significant action on defense of the first time in his career on Sunday.
With Brent Grimes out with an illness and Brice McCain injuring his knee in the first half of the win against Philadelphia, Lippett played 23 percent of Miami’s defensive snaps.
Although he only finished with a tackle, it was a big moment for him.
This time last year, Lippett was an offensive star at Michigan State, winning Big Ten Receiver of the Year.
The Dolphins converted him in to a corner and hoped it would pay off down the road.
The fact that the Dolphins went at times late in Sunday’s game with Lippett ahead of Zack Bowman — who got called for a pass interference on a deep pass and was replaced by Lippett — shows how far Lippett has come.
“I feel like I’m coming along better than some people anticipated,” Lippett said.
“When I first got here I was real raw and not experienced at the position. But now I’m starting to learn the ins and outs of playing corner and just learning different techniques and how to leverage the ball, leverage the defender and things like that.”
Lippett isn’t as far ahead as Miami’s other rookie cornerback, Bobby McCain. McCain started Sunday’s game and is a key part of the rotation.
But at 6-foot-3, Lippett has size that Miami’s other corners lack. And that’s what makes him so intriguing.
Lippett says he’s been studying other NFL cornerbacks with similar size.
“Sean Smith, Brandon Browner, Richard Sherman, Sam Shields, Jimmy Smith, those are just the few names I kind of look at a lot because they’ve got my size,” Lippett said. “I watch them a lot. I watch some of the guys that don’t have my body type as well. I just try to watch as many as I can just take tidbits of their game and try to incorporate in to my mind.”
Dolphins interim coach Dan Campbell said it was especially impressive that Lippett held his own against Philadelphia, an up-tempo team.
“Just aside from what he’s got athletically he’s got really good ball skills and his size and his length,” Campbell said. “In practice you see him challenge receivers. I see an improving player, I see someone who has improved every week.

Should our elderly take precedence over elderly from some place else?
**************
what makes you think you have to chose between the 2
Because I work for a State- I see how things work
LOL
good answer
I would take care of citizens first if we are choosing
but I really think we should have resources for both
Most elderly people actually stay in their home countries
So its not very common
An elderly person, is just an example of some one who usually qualifies for benefits and may not be able to work
and I would not have a problem with that kind of person receiving public assistance, citizen or not

I have no problem either. We show compassion. That’s what makes America the greatest nation in the world so I can accept a little fraud knowing we help far more.
**************
Yeah
I agree
Albeit I think we need to make our best efforts to stop fraud as a whole
but that’s not exclusive to immigrants – its all over the place when dealing with benefits
Lippett says he’s been studying other NFL cornerbacks with similar size.
“Sean Smith, …

Wondering what he’s seeing there LOL
I did like that he said that, Smith, Browner, Sherman etc. Good for him, and hey Sean Smith is pretty good, he just can’t hold onto the INT. Hopefully Lippett will.

FFR, maybe the wife munches the Social Security commissioner.
she is old, she would be gumming the commish
I hope the Fins coaches show their big balls this weekend and go with the youth movement present in Philadelphia:
GET HEWITT, LIPPETT, MCCAIN, AJAYI ON THE FIELD OFTEN
These politicians holding congressional seats have created far more waste and have committed far more fraud through any company they have owned in the past than any group of immigrants milking the system at the bottom.
Agreed.
absolutely

True.
Unlike Sean Smith who was a WR (yea can you believe that? lol) turned CB; Lippett showed he had receiver abilities.

They should give the pork to the muzzy refugees 😉
I think “muzzy” means someone who follows Islam- does that make someone who follows Judaism a Juzzy or Christianity a crizzy?
Andrew Abramson ✔ @AbramsonPBP
After being waived and re-signed by Dolphins almost on a weekly basis this year, Sam Brenner lands in Denver
Good for him. Hopefully he gets up to speed with the elevation having been at sea level so long :). He did go to Utah so he has some expectation of this change (being he’s from Oceanside, CA and had to adapt then).
Try, we all have nicknames or slang, so what’s your point? Try-ing to be PC?
No, just asking questions- that is still allowed, no? Why disrespect anyone?
Not disrespecting any one person in particular.
BTW, I’m sure you’ve read or seen about the disgraceful acts during a minute of silence for the Paris massacre victims being booed at Turkey-Greece soccer game, followed by chants of Allahu Akbar, with both PMs in attendance. Now it surely wasn’t a stadium full or extreme terrorist’s, so must just be the ordinary every day fun happy go lucky muslim folk eh?
I apologize- you are slways respectful and never disparage someone for an opposing view.
I’m surprised that there was anything other than a fight at the Turkey- Greece soccer game
those 2 countries hate each other
u c yesterday that the turkey match instanbul, turkey where they were not observing the moment of silence for France.
sorry i didn’t read your comment above. Been to a basketball game in istanbul and they are crazy and they really love their teams.

Try, I apologize too. I’m sure some of my posts can come off like I’m an asshole or narrow minded or both.
It takes a big man to admit he’s an asshole. LOL

LOL, I know what ya mean. I think the likes are in the context of ‘hey good story, thanks for sharing’.
But after all these years I can’t figure why they don’t also have a dislike button like most comment sections on web new articles or blogs.
