Game Day – Dallas @ Miami

header

(Header from CBS Sports)

Week 11 and we are 4-5.  Certainly not what most of us were expecting.  7 games left.  How many of those can we win?  How many wins will it take to maybe sneak into the playoffs?  How much help will we need?  I don’t think the schedule looks all that bad given how other teams are playing.  On the flip side, most teams look at us the same way….beatable.

The last home game was against another team from Texas.  The game against Houston was the best I’ve seen then play and was more like how I thought we would be this year.  We need the same kind of game today.  They can do it.

Let’s Go Dolphins!

    bit on that draw

  2. New Age says:

Pick one should probably be a DE or LB.

  3. getterdone says:

    typical run d failure time….SMH

  4. getterdone says:

    holding

  5. getterdone says:

Hold Em to no more than 3. D Fence

  6. getterdone says:

    SHIT!

  7. finfanrob says:

so cover one of the best wr in the league with a linebacker……brilliant.

  8. New Age says:

HTF do you have a rookie LB covering Dez?

  9. finfanrob says:

i really know very little about football but i think even i could coach this team better.

  10. getterdone says:

    Taylor Toast

  11. Mike E. says:

Looked like it was Neville on the coverage, but #22 sucks anyway. lol

  12. finfanrob says:

ross just need to say. ok i own this team, every body….yep even you mr janitor, you are all fired. the only person on the monday after the last game that should be employed is ross himself

  13. New Age says:

    Cornucopia of stupid lately.

  14. finfanrob says:

again there is no reason fox is on this roster.

  15. getterdone says:

Fox right in front of ref….dooche bag!

  16. finfanrob says:

well, guess we all can say bye bye to campbell too. this team is undisciplined

  17. getterdone says:

    nice field position for dallas

  18. finfanrob says:

ok dallas, punch this in. start helping the fins draft position

  19. New Age says:

Team is just bad. Some solid players but bad coaching, no discipline and really poor drafting and trades has put us under the 8 ball once again. Maybe next year(decades and decades later)

  20. getterdone says:

Poor OL, poor coverages by secondary, & poor ST’s including Landry….smh!

  21. finfanrob says:

3rd and long, time to put suh on bryant

  22. finfanrob says:

it has gotten so sad that i would rather watch the bucs win then watch the fins anymore. i just cant with that team anymore. i hope they lose out

  23. getterdone says:

Where’s the F’n blitz???? Poor ass coverage on TE’s….geez

  24. finfanrob says:

    getterdone says:

Poor OL, poor coverages by secondary, & poor ST’s including Landry….smh!

    you forgot poor coaching

  25. getterdone says:

Ravens sucking at home too….3 points for them.

  26. New Age says:

Even when we sack the guy it looks like a huge accident.

  27. D says:

Damn they are letting them get away with murder, holding. I’m seeing them hook us with arms, pull jersies etc really bad

  28. finfanrob says:

    getterdone says:
    November 22, 2015 at 3:38 pm

I’ve mentioned the Coordinators a million times.

ok, then you forgot poor front office decisions

  29. Mike E. says:

    D

Holding is allowed, if the officials don’t see it. Fox hooks the guy right in front of the official

  30. finfanrob says:

    getterdone says:
    November 22, 2015 at 3:38 pm

I’ve mentioned the Coordinators a million times.

and i know you like campbell but the poor guy is just way way in over his head. he just doesnt stand a chance.

  31. D says:

BTW rizzi was reaming Williams not Landry. Must be Landry was called off catching that by Williams.

  32. getterdone says:

Was a big stop holding them to 3 pts.

We need some real good offensive play calls now. Lots of time to pull this game out!

  33. finfanrob says:

    getterdone says:
    November 22, 2015 at 3:41 pm

I’ll leave the Ross voodoo doll up to OD & Gigi.

ok then you forgot poor concession service.

  34. Mike E. says:

Son’s gonna have somethin to say about that sack

  35. New Age says:

It’s a sad day when the Bucs look like a far better team than the Dolphins. Once again, poor leadership leads to bad teams.

  36. Mike E. says:

    D

I’m joking man. I’m saying it’s not a penalty if the official doesn’t see it.

  37. Mike E. says:

Happy to be going to the game next week, gonna see some great people. The team, not so much.

  38. finfanrob says:

    new age,

i said a while ago that the bucs look like a much better team then the fins. hell i even prefer watching them win now vs watching the fins

  39. getterdone says:

Dallas Thomas turnstile….but Tanny should have got rid of it….damn it

  40. Brian in NY says:

    Campbell’s clock management is atrocious.

  41. getterdone says:

Think I would have went for it…I mean you’re 4-5 damn it.

  42. New Age says:

Dallas fans must have been happy as hell that Romo got to play a really bad team on his first game back.

  43. Brian in NY says:

Come on GD, that sack is on Tannehill. The OL can’t block them forever. He’s got to have a clock in his head (which he doesn’t) to get rid of the ball.

  44. D says:

    Sheppard WAY out if position

  45. Brian in NY says:

This team is a fucking joke. They consistently beat themselves today with stupid penalties and poor play.

  46. Mike E. says:

That’s the game right there. Put it in the books.

  47. getterdone says:

    Need a 3 & out by D.

  48. herdfan says:

Yeah, I never watch them but they have been doing well lately.

yeah, i think i am gonna fix that. i just cant be a dolphin fan this team has been horrible for too long. so i am going to start being a buc fan so they can go back to their losing ways

  50. Brian in NY says:

    This season’s theme:
    “Chasing .500 Again”

  51. finfanrob says:

i guess so much for atl’s new coach being all that. they are looking horrible too

  52. getterdone says:

Why didn’t Campbell go for it on 4th and short from their own 40 last series….bye bye clock…tick tick

  53. herdfan says:

    lol @ FFR’s new avi

    “Chasing .500 Again”

i thought this was this seasons theme

  55. getterdone says:

166 yards rushing to Miami’s 70….weee losing football.

  56. herdfan says:

To make matters worse, I’m getting beat by HOME in FF. 😦

  57. getterdone says:

    Defense has folded the tent.

  58. finfanrob says:

i guess we wont be seeing stanger here today. funny how they never show up with the fins lose.

  59. finfanrob says:

    wyoming85 says:
    November 22, 2015 at 4:03 pm

No but Gigi and Bat will be here in a few

i dont know about that. i was just busting stangers balls for saying i wasnt around last week cause they won, when i was here the whole damn time.

  60. getterdone says:

Osweiler the new man in Denver.

  61. The Flying Pig says:

Why would we punt in 4th down down 10 with 6 mins to go

All we have to do is give up a few 1st downs to lose

  62. Randy says:

Nothing like losing to a 2-7 team in your own stadium. Another ugly game by an undisciplined, under-talented team. No leadership on the field. Team full of losers.

  63. Tim Knight says:

Wow, good game went to shit. This team has issues and I’m not sure what it is outside of being so young with depth. We’re not that good.

  64. The Flying Pig says:

And the offense scores 14 points again
    What a coincidence
Lose again and don’t score 20

  65. getterdone says:

Hasselbeck 3-0 with Gore losing 2 fumbles…..Falcons stink….Julio Jones had a 160 yds but in a losing cause.

  66. getterdone says:

Jerry Jones must have slipped Campbell a $500K check when they were yucking it up in pregame warm ups on the field.

  67. getterdone says:

386 yards given up by the Defense. Suh changed everything.

  68. finfanrob says:

    getter,

why would jerry do that. it isnt like he had to pay the guy to lose. he has proven he isnt much of a head coach

  69. getterdone says:

Dallas 5.7 yards per rush on 38 carries.
Miami 5.1 yards per rush but only carry the friggin ball 14 times!

Poor coordinators, none worse than Lazor! 👿

  70. D says:

What’s the worst about how we lose is its the same fucking thing every week. Abandon n the run, penalties at crucial downs. Poor play xalling. No consistency in performances, also even though it will draw boos, shitty decisions by Tanny. We shouldn’t have paid him when we did we should have drawn it out until middle to end of the year because he is not earning this contract.

    • getterdone says:

Tanny was inconsistent today for sure. But yes, stellar play calling, dropped passes & OL play helped it along.
The offense stinks from top to bottom in this form.

Got to fire Lazor Mon morning and play out the rest of the shit show season w/o him.

  71. CavalierKong says:

How can we not even field something as fundamental as a kickoff? This is the 3rd or 4th time this year our fucking kickoff returner has started us inside the 5 yardline, smh.

So many fundamental breakdowns by the offense. Our offense shoots itself continuously.

1st drive, Matthews with a big drop-would have been FG range
2nd drive, Tanny misses a TD to Landry, but still threw a catchable ball, Landry drop-should have been 7 or 3
3rd drive, Tanny with pick 6
Later drive, Tanny with designed run, #63 whiffs on a block that would have picked up the 1st-punt
Later drive, Tanny designed run, Fox with a holding penalty-punt
Later drive, 20 yards of penalties, no chance for the 1st-punt
Later drive, Landry forgets how to play football, we start at our own 4-FUCK!!
Last drive, we punt on at the 50, 4th and 4 with under 6 to go? That was our best chance.

That is just off the top of my head, plays where someone didn’t execute and we stall a drive because of it. The whole offense is just killing itself.
    Depressingly undisciplined football.

  72. Randy says:

    gdp
Sooner or later you gotta stop blaming Lazor and start blaming these players for not executing. This offense is pathetic.

    • getterdone says:

Hard to execute a shitty play call, especially the predictable ones. Defenses are not off guard by this offense at all.

      Lazor got to GO!

  73. finfanrob says:

    D,

i agree with your comment. well except for paying tanny. even if it was a bad decision it is how things are in sports, players get paid before they perform. so dont really blame management. look what they paid suh and he isnt worth it either. it is just how things are in sports.

  74. getterdone says:

Jets lost and likely Bills too on mon nite….yet we gain no ground at all….SMH! That hurts!

  75. finfanrob says:

Sooner or later you gotta stop blaming Lazor and start blaming these players for not executing. This offense is pathetic.

miller had like 4 carries for 40 yards then they went away from using him. i guess the players kept calling different plays say ;he lets mke lazor look bad’

  76. Randy says:

    gdp
Sorry, I put performances like this on the players. They are making the plays called look bad just as much as we’re seeing some poor calls. None of these players are making plays to win.

  77. ocalahowie says:

    94 MILLION DOLLARS

  78. Brian in NY says:

    Randy,
I agree 100%. It’s not Lazor as nearly as much as the lack of execution of this offense.

    • getterdone says:

Not sure how you guys see that. Guess running from the shotgun all the time and then abandoning the run after a 5.1 yd clip is offensive magic.

  79. Brian in NY says:

When you are consistently down by 14, 13, 27 points, you tend to run less.

  80. Brian in NY says:

You talk about firing people? How about Jon Benton?

  81. getterdone says:

Oh well, time to kick the dog….not mine, maybe the neighbors….lol 😉

  82. Ken says:

I have to go back to not watching we do better when I don’t watch

  83. getterdone says:

  84. Randy says:

    ffr,
I’m just not a fan of constantly questioning play calls. Yeah, we’ve seen some strange calls, and I don’t like how Lazor calls a game. It’s easy to say a call is bad when the players don’t execute it. I’m not saying Lazor is blameless. I just think it’s more about the players making plays. This offense has played pretty bad football all year.

  85. ocalahowie says:

I’m not worried about Suh’s money He’s paying dividends in a losing cause.
Tanny aint going nowhere for that kind of money and niether is our offense for the next 4 years
No matter who is HC and OC we are screwed
How much is RG3 making to sit, gotta be at least the same.
    HE SUCKS!!!

    • getterdone says:

Suh’s paying dividends? We’re the worst stopping the run and have among the fewest sacks against opposing QB’s. We we’re better with Starks & Odrick.

  86. Randy says:

    gdp
Watch other teams. We do a lot of the same things they do. It’s not like Lazor calls crazy plays. Tons of teams run out of the shotgun now. Do I like it? Hell no, but that’s how it is in the NFL now. I’d let Lazor walk too, but that’s not gonna automatically fix this offense. The problem is the players.

  87. New Age says:

Im just ready for a new coaching staff and some new talent. I think Tanny needs lots of competition and so does everyone else. This team is bad from the bottom up.

  88. Randy says:

    getterdone says:
    November 22, 2015 at 4:32 pm
Not sure how you guys see that. Guess running from the shotgun all the time and then abandoning the run after a 5.1 yd clip is offensive magic.
    ***
And I’m not sure how you watch Tannehill suck every week and still think he’s a franchise QB!!! Lol

    • getterdone says:

He’s played inconsistent as I mentioned before, while other phases of the team are very consistent, consistently BAD!

  89. getterdone says:

Lazor coached under Chip Kelly, their offense is going nowhere either.

  90. getterdone says:

Tannehill actually finished with a lil better QBR than Romo. At least Dallas could play defense & then keep running the ball.

  91. Randy says:

    gdp
I don’t care about QBR. Romo made plays to win when it mattered. Tannehill rarely does.
    ***
Gotta run….watching a really good defense in Minnesota try to beat GB.

  92. Mike E. says:

John Benton might might suck, but I said before the draft that our O-line sucked, and they needed to upgrade, and we didn’t do squat. Now we pay for it.

  93. Mike E. says:

Either way, it;s totally time to tear it up, throw it in the trash, and start all over again with a new staff. ManCampbell is a good guy, but this team needs a legit HC and better coordinators, but a HC that will tell his coordinators to change things up and knows how to handle not just his players, but the rest of his staff as well.

  94. Tim Knight says:

It’s not one thing with this team. It’s all of them. Every good play comes back with a penalty. We’re not that good.

  95. Rhino says:

Is it safe to blog yet:

  96. ocalahowie says:

    OH I’M JUST MAD
but I still think those front 4 are doing a fine job, Giving up 7 points is going to happen every now and then Especialy when you gotta get back on the field 2 minutes real time after you just sat down.
How many times did we here Ware’s name today? Hell of a lot less than Suh
I didnt even know he was still on the Cowboys till our last failed drives

  97. olddolphan says:

WELL AFTER FAU barely failed to score a colossal upset of Florida I was more than a little upset. But the worst was yet to come. TODAY I woke up with bronchitis and a fever while Mrs. OD also was not feeling well. Then I learned one of “My Boyz” had heart surgery and would not be at the game (he’s our COOK!). Then ANOTHER of our group came down sick so, about HALF of the crew was on I.R. for this game!! –Me and the Mrs. were celebrating our anniversary by MISSING THE DALAS GAME AND DRIVING FROM SOUTH FLORIDA back to the Tampa suburbs!. Got home just in time to see the game! YECCHH!!! –I’l go to the doctor’s tomorrow to get treated. And I’ll also miss work tomorrow for sure!! Only saving grace was our very successful 1-day convention in Ft. Myers on Saturday. Plus my sister seems to be recovering well after a T.I.A. (mini-stroke).
    ———————–
HOW appropriate that 2 sacks of Tanny ended today’s game. FOX may be the worst O-Lineman in Fins history!! NO O-Line plus sorry run defense= losing season, right Mr. Ross!!! Boy, the hiring of T-Baum sure has improved the team!!!!! -Great idea, Mr. Ross!!

  98. bookman11 says:

    We are still in it

  99. bookman11 says:

I will not give up until we are eliminated

  100. ocalahowie says:

Those two Picks, That was our front 4 anchored by Ndomkong Suh getting in Romo face not spectacular coverage on our secondary part

  101. finfanrob says:

    randy,

ok fine. you want to blame the player and not the coaches. ok i am fine with that too. i am even blaming the parking attendants. there isnt one aspect of this organization that i blameless. if it makes you happy blaming the players i am right there with you. hell, i am even ready to start questioning lauren, it maybe time for her to go………aaawwww who am i kidding, ok she can stay but all the rest needs to go

i sure would love to know what you read. what do you read that tanny doesnt get blamed? and everyone else should get blamed. even your failure suh. this whole organization is shit, no one is blameless. hell i think even this blog is to blame. anything associated with this organization is to blame, that is how bad they are

  107. Mike E. says:

    Bookman

Just putting off the pain and the inevitable.

  108. ocalahowie says:

I mean we’ve tried it all
1 proven HC in JJ that ended in shit
The Stash who all my Bears friends hated but I think was pretty darn good for us
    An LSU national champion coach
A offensive coordinator that was on fire in SD the season before
    Position coach-Sporano
O/C who never called a play in his life
    Nothing Works

  109. ocalahowie says:

I heard your BUCS won today 😉

  110. Tim Knight says:

Son, it’s not all Tannehill. He was off, the OL had bad moments as usual and with penalties, dropped passes. Landry played his worst game. The defense is playing with a 2nd team right now. We’re not good.

    • son of a son of a shula says:

Mac is on a better team, with better coaching.

  117. Tim Knight says:

Son. what are you trying to say with Cam, he was the 1st overall pick, we never had a shot at him?

We’re not that good of a team all around. Also Lazor is inept. He doesn’t have any feel for what we do well. It’s mind boggling. He puts us in 3rd and long constantly with bad play calls.

Son. what are you trying to say with Cam, he was the 1st overall pick, we never had a shot at him?

We’re not that good of a team all around. Also Lazor is inept. He doesn’t have any feel for what we do well. It’s mind boggling. He puts us in 3rd and long constantly with bad play calls.
    *
    Tim,
So EVERY play he calls is bad? EVERY series HE puts us in 3rd and long? Come on. This team can’t execute on a consistent basis, that’s why we can’t win on a consistent basis. We came out in the first series ruining it down their throats (which everyone wants) and we have a 3rd and 7 or so around midfield, and Tannehill under throws Landry up the left side, leading to the ball behind knocked away instead of a TD. That would have been a great call had we executed the play that was drawn up and was right there to be had. That’s us up 7-0 to start the game. What happens a few series later? Pick six( poor execution) and we’re playing from behind again.

  132. finfanrob says:

‘we have a 3rd and 7 or so around midfield, and Tannehill under throws Landry up the left side, leading to the ball behind knocked away instead of a TD’

and why did they end up in 3rd and 7? cause the idiot lozer went away from the run and started throwing the ball on first down.

dont you see, i dont get why this is hard, it is a combination of the entire organization that is making them fail. it isnt one player.

    • Brian in NY says:

So we run every single first down, and the opposing defense knows exactly what we are doing every first down. Good game plan. I was merely pointing out how we didn’t execute in a particular play, rather than bashing the play call, and it likely ended up costing us a TD.

  133. finfanrob says:

but i guess it could be worse. the fins could have rivers as a qb.

  134. finfanrob says:

    We should be so lucky

why, tanny is two times better then him. SD has only won two games the fins have won 4.

  135. stangerx says:

DL is finally looking like the one we were expecting…….unfortunately so is Jamar Taylor.

  136. ocalahowie says:

Yes Son, i’ve heard of this but I’m sleeping so it is up to my Giant orange cat to get them but he does nothing
    WHAT A WUSS!!!

  137. bat says:

It’s time to face reality. Tannehill is a marginally talented QB with serious flaws in his game and no real grasp of the mental intangibles of the position. No pocket awareness and limited field vision. After 4 years it is clear that this is no franchise QB. Yes, I know…everyone else sucks too and it’s not his fault, but we will never be able to surround Tannehill with enough great players that the team might win in spite of him. So with that, and having seen my fill of his La dee dah dah Dum dee dum dum lack of urgency, I announce the official launch of the TDS……. Who’s with me?

  138. finfanrob says:

    brian

it was the opening drive. and it was working but idiot lozer has to think he is smarter.

and i obviously know rivers is better then tanny, just making a point of how idiotic the thinking is that the qb is why a team wins or loses

  139. bookman11 says:

I am with Tim. He has been talking about his hate for this offense . I am with him on that. Get rid of Lazor and let Campbell run his own offense. Lazor sucks

  140. finfanrob says:

    bat,

how many ‘franchise’ qb’s are out there? yep, thats what i thought. about 90% of the league has to deal with average qb’s and build a team around them. but lets all just think getting an aaron rodgers will put this shit of an organization in the SB

  141. finfanrob says:

i guess bridgewater is one of those marginally qb’s too, he has given up 6 sacks today.

  142. Tim Knight says:

LOL, keep focusing on one thing. Oh brother!

  143. bookman11 says:

Sorry Bat. I can not excuse the rest of the team while we look for a franchise QB.

  144. bookman11 says:

Our scheme on offense is horrible…. But let’s blame the QB

  145. ocalahowie says:

Alright then; Stanger is with me on that front four

LOL, keep focusing on one thing. Oh brother!

i dont know how many more ways to tell them, it is more then an average qb that is wrong with this team. but i guess every team in the league has a tackle like fox. i mean son said this team matches up player for player with any team in the l……..omg i cant repeat that without cracking up. but then again he also thought suh was the answer

  147. Try Pod says:

This game illustrates the difference between solid a solid qb and j.a.g.

  148. New Age says:

Tanny is a marginal QB. Much like A Smith and Stafford, he isn’t going to carry your team at any point in his career. Unfortunately, he also is in the hardest to fill position in the NFL. If a Brock Osweiler comes up and you feel he’s the next big thing, take him but otherwise we are going to have to try and win despite Tanny’s limitations.

We need to start finding the pieces that enable him to win and that mean a real OL. This guy will never feel pressure so we have to remove it as much as possible.

  149. finfanrob says:

    Try Pod says:

Wow- what a novel idea! Admit your qb’s weaknesses and mitigate them as much as possible- fucking genius!

ok yeah, that use to be my bitch too about lozer. that he would never go to tannys strengths but more so his weakness.

and i say use to be my bitch about him, not it is everything he does, just fire him already.

  150. bat says:

Make excuses for him if it suits you. I am not saying that Tannehill is the only problem with this crapfest of a team, but he will never be part of the solution. Teams try to draft QBs who rise to challenges and make those around them better. Tannehill does neither.

  151. New Age says:

I hope we get Hue Jackson next year. That’s my top prospect.

i am going to burn in hell no matter what so here goes……..that is where you are wrong. no one is making excuses for him. i know i am not, i am just trying to point out all the other flaws on this team. hell fox couldnt even play on NE o line and those fuckers area allowed to hold.

  154. bat says:

It all has to be torn down. Ross has to finally fumigate the organization of the acrid stench of failure and futility. The new powers that be should be perfectly capable of finding their own frustratingly mediocre QB.

  155. rgs322 says:

Just watched the game. Really not much to say.

  156. finfanrob says:

all i know is i hope figure skating is on next week so i have something to watch. or at least womens basketball. i am sure either will be better then the fins.

oh wait, take that back. almost forgot, i am a buc fan now……nevermind

  157. bat says:

rob…. So because other areas of the team are also seriously flawed, we should be satisfied with a seriously flawed QB? …. Strange logic that.

  158. finfanrob says:

    bat,

now that i agree with. it isnt like a new coach is going to come in and make them a playoff team. they still lack way way way to much talent. so i am sure a new coach will want to start with his own average qb. hey maybe fiedler has a younger brother

  159. Brian in NY says:

    Rob,
The thing is, no one is saying it’s all Tannehills fault. Most are placing blame all iver the place, but you and a few others are declaring that Tannegull is not the problems he is part of the problem IMO, and a big one at that. He has regressed this season. I think he can be an average to slightly above average QB, which the really good game thrown in now and then. But sadly, based on past experience, I don’t think he’s ever going to be more than that. He just doesn’t have that in him.

  160. herdfan says:

where the hell did i say to be satisfied with him. i dont know what is so confusing about me saying this whole organization is to blame. hell i even blamed the parking attendants earlier. last i checked tanny is part of the organization so i am blaming him too.

  162. rgs322 says:

…And then there were 7. That is only 7 teams with fewer wins. 🙄

wow, just wow. like i told bat.

i know when i type it on my laptop it is in english but maybe as it post to others they see it as some form of ancient Greek forgotten language. THE WHOLE TEAM IS THE PROBLEM. i would love for you to find anywhere i have said tanny is not part of the problem.

    • Brian in NY says:

It is in English, and you are constantly deflecting blame from Tannehill by placing most of the blame on Lazor and the OL(which does deserve some of it as well).

  164. Brian in NY says:

Mac is surging at the right time

  165. herdfan says:

I think it’s normal to blame the QB more than any other player on offense. Fair or not, that’s the way it is. Would you rather have a good offense with an average to bad QB or an average offensive team with a good to great QB?

????????? so even if it isnt fair it is ok. that makes perfect sense. he we all know stealing is bad, but thats the way it is so we will just let it go.

  168. olddolphan says:

HAVE NOT SAID THIS TODAY yet, so, for those who may have missed it, I repeat – – – THE DOLPHINS WILL NOT WIN A PLAYOFF GAME AS LONG AS ROSS OWNS THE TEAM – – – HE is the #1 reason why this organization sucks!! if its in english then you see me blame the entire organization. come on say it with me. the entire organization. i rip apart the defense all the time too. come on now all at once……..the entire organization

  170. bat says:

rob… I believe it is because you are quick to respond with sarcasm whenever someone does point out one of Tannehill’s shortcomings that some see you as a Tanny apologist.

  171. finfanrob says:

They get most of the blame, and most of the credit. It’s pretty much the way it’s been the past 30 years.

not from me. as a matter of fact i am the first to point out not giving them the credit for winning.

  172. finfanrob says:

    bat,

that is just cause my pure hatred for this team is evenly spread among the entire origination and i hate seeing others waste their hatred on just one person when if they would just open their minds to the pure joy of hating every part of the organization they will feel so much better.

  173. Try Pod says:

There does seem to be an affliction of “Tanne Tourette’s” around here.

They touch the ball on every offensive play, so other than the center, yes, they are a bigger part of the offensive team.

wow. really…..omg really. heck, i never knew the qb touched the ball every offensive play. well i guess i stand corrected now. hell, it is only tannys fault. the knowledge you find out on the internet. wow, shocking i tell you

  175. Brian in NY says:

I think the Tanny Tourette’s stems from some defending him. No one else really defends the other areas of the team on a regular basis.

  176. finfanrob says:

    Brian in NY says:

maybe i dont get the same post as you do. but i would ask you to point out anyone that defends him. i think you guys just want someone too so you can hear yourselves argue about him more. i am pretty sure no one defends him they just blame the other parts of the team too but some of you just want a fight about tanny so bad you are trying to make up tanny defenders

  177. finfanrob says:

    herdfan says:
    November 22, 2015 at 8:15 pm

Wow…excuse me for having an opinion or saying anything at all.

ok wait, so you are allowed to respond to my post, point out something that is suppose to make me look like i am wrong and dont know what i am talking about but i i point out you just said the obvious then youre feelings are hurt.

  178. bat says:

rob… As others have pointed out, it is natural for the QB to receive the brunt of criticism when the team fails. This is especially true when the QB is a significant part of the problem. The position is the most important in the game. Blame, warranted or not, comes with the territory.

  179. finfanrob says:

and if any of you havent burnt up all your brain cells you will remember i was here saying the exact same things about henne. that you are asking an average qb to take a average team to great heights. basically asking for the impossible.

build a fricking good team and then we dont have to sit around and wait a lifetime for an elite qb to come around again

  180. finfanrob says:

Blame, warranted or not, comes with the territory.

    bat,

that is the part that doesnt fly with me. it would be like blaming the punter for a wr not catching a pass. ‘well if the blame is warranted or not that is still the punters fault’ why not be smarter then the average jet fan and place the blame in all the places it belongs and not just cop out to something like ‘right or wrong lets blame the qb’

  181. herdfan says:

FFR, my initial post wasn’t in response to anything you said. As for me saying something that will “point out something that is suppose to make me look like i am wrong and dont know what i am talking about”, I’m not doing that either. You’re doing fine all on your own.

  182. finfanrob says:

‘You’re doing fine all on your own.’

aaawwww that is so cute. you are priceless darlin.

(i dont want to say anything negative to you as i am sure it will upset you again)

  183. bat says:

rob …. I have yet to see a single person on here blame Tannehill alone for the teams issues. There are however a few posters who are extremely sensitive to any criticism of him.

  184. finfanrob says:

    bat says:
    November 22, 2015 at 8:40 pm

rob …. I have yet to see a single person on here blame Tannehill alone for the teams issues.

is there a reason you dont read son’s post?

  185. Randy says:

If you’d all simply believed what I kept telling you about Tannehill for years, we wouldn’t be having this pointless argument. We could be talking about our next draft pick….or who’s getting naked on GOT next! Lol

  186. finfanrob says:

    bat,

i guess my whole issue is i dont see enough people blaming all that is wrong with this team rather they just take the cheap way out and want to blame just the qb.

but i guess what does it matter, none of it is getting fixed anytime soon. if everyone wants to focus just on one player then have fun. i will be there watching the next all world elite qb on his back after fox gives up another one

  187. finfanrob says:

and i am sure i will be singing the same ole thing when everyone is saying how awful the next qb is. that it isnt just his fault, the whole team sucks

  188. bat says:

I don’t take son’s posts as an endorsement of the entire team except for Tannehill, but maybe I have not seen ones where he did make such a statement.

  189. finfanrob says:

    bat,

like i just said. ok fine, draft another qb and get rid of this bum. i am sure 3 or 4 years from now i will be singing the same thing. it isnt his fault, they are asking an average player to carry the entire team.

  190. bat says:

OK Time for the Walking Dead who will once again display more spirit heart and intensity than the Miami Dolphins

  191. finfanrob says:

    bat,

randy just said if the everyone had listened to him this problem would be solved. i am sure any other qb would flourish behind this oline. hell put cleo lemon back there and fox will become and all world tackle

  192. Randy says:

The problem is that in today’s NFL the QB IS much more significant and impactful than any other player or coach on the team. He should be having a greater impact because the NFL has set the game up for them to succeed. They can barely be touched, offenses are designed around them, they can throw the ball away, their receivers can’t be touched, OL can hold all day and defenses have been neutered. So yeah…I do expect QBs to take more blame because they have significantly more impact than anybody else. They deserve any credit….or blame they get. Hence why everyone says this is a QB-driven league now more than ever.

    • Try Pod says:

Exactly right- the rules are written and the game is officiated to maximize the qb’s impact. If your qb is average you’ve got issues.

  193. Randy says:

    ffr,
It’s gonna take us 3 years to build the sort of team Tannehiill can win with anyway because, evidently, we have to have all pros all around him for him to succeed! Lol

  194. finfanrob says:

    Randy says:
    November 22, 2015 at 9:02 pm

    ffr,
It’s gonna take us 3 years to build the sort of team Tannehiill can win with anyway because, evidently, we have to have all pros all around him for him to succeed! Lol

i dont know about that. i dont know if all pros around him will make him succeed. but i do know this. to wait on an ‘elite’ qb is stupid. very very few of them exist. so start building that team of all pros so you can put in a qb that will be successful with them.

  195. finfanrob says:

    randy,

and i get this is a qb driven league, but all one has to do is point to seattle. they are/were doing it with an average qb.

  196. Randy says:

    ffr
Wilson isn’t great either, but he does what Tannehill doesn’t…make plays from time to time. And, he does it behind an OL that is just as bad as ours….and he’s never had a receiving Corp as good as Tanny’s had. I’d take Wilson. He’s a more complete QB than Tannehill.

  197. finfanrob says:

    randy,

once again, i am not defending tanny. i agree wilson does more then tanny. but on this team they would still be awful with wilson. wilson can scramble better then tanny and hits the long pass better. although this year tanny has improved on the long pass some, but that is like saying ‘hey, look at you, you went from 350lbs down to 290’. again my whole point is build a good team before you ask a qb to take you to the sb.

  198. finfanrob says:

and here is a crazy novel idea. how about when you start this building process (all of you guys call it re-building but you cant re-build something that you never had) how about with your 1st round draft picks you pick players that will actually get on the field

  199. finfanrob says:

Ian Wharton ‏@NFLFilmStudy 1m1 minute ago

Lamar Miller gained 21 yards on Miami’s first two plays from scrimmage. Ran the ball 2 more times in the quarter, 7 total in the game

but lets not say anything bad about lozer and just comment on how bad the qb sucks

  200. Randy says:

    ffr
I agree. Lazor’s job as OC should be in question. I think he’s a smart offensive mind but doesn’t seem to have a feel for calling games. It’s an art. Not everyone can do it well….and this was his first time doing it. That said…our players are oftentimes not making routine plays…OL included. It’s been a team effort at sucking ass this season…no doubt.
